Had a coupon to use. I gave it to the cashier and she told me I should of gave it at the start of my service. I did not know this. Cashier and service guy Steve made a huge deal about using my coupon and said he would have to redo all my paperwork he acted like it was so much work. I told them never mind since it was to much work for them. When I left I noticed Steve was so busy playing a game on his computer. This is not the great customer service I am used to at this dealership. A customer shouldn’t be treated like it was all my fault. The dealership send me this coupon. Next time I will make my apt with someone else. Or go to a different dealership.
1. Forced to buy warranty (Zurich)! Told salesman not interested but applied to car anyways. Told that all cars sold from dealership must have Zurich applied. 2. Told that my equity on my lease was $1,000 but when I went to sign paperwork it was $930. Salesman said oh I just rounded up. $70 is a nice amount of money to me. 3. Vehicle was given to me on empty (gas), of course I didn’t notice until I was almost home and at that time dealership was closed.
You know how when you visit a place and suddenly you realize Eh, maybe this was not a good idea. Kinda like that. I feel like this dealership can not compete with the likes of larger networked dealers. People were nice. And what is with the dealer addendums on every one of the new vehicles. I mean come on. Also they tried to lowball me on a trade in with 10k miles on it compared to several other dealers. I wont be back guys.
The earliest appointment I could schedule online was 2 weeks out. Luckily by dropping off the vehicle earlier, the dealer was able to repair the vehicle earlier. However I was not happy with the fact that Lunghamer does not provide shuttle service. I was given the excuse that they cant find anyone willing to work. I dont believe this to be true. I also deal with Golling Buick GMC in Lake Orion and Randy Wise GMC in Fenton, both provide shuttle service. I could have taken the vehicle to them, but chose Lunghamer as we have known the Sales Manager (David Jackson) since the 1980s and Neil Bane since the early 2000s. I also was not satisfied with the mechanics lack of professionalism. He had to remove the rear trim to repair a wire that was pinched from the factory. Apparently he used a sharp object like a screwdriver to remove the trim. In doing so, he permanently damaged the trim. He should have used an appropriate plastic trim tool. Also the vehicle was not cleaned properly upon return. I dropped off the vehicle in pristine condition (washed, vacuumed, etc.). When I cleaned the steering wheel using a Purell wipe, it turned black from dirt/grease which obviously came from the mechanics hands. Im not happy about the service at Lunghamer GMC.
The service gent that took care of me was a real pro. He was quick and efficient and explained the price increase compared to the last time I was in. He did not try to up sell me like the last service person who tried to sell me an alignment when the vehicle was fairly new. Hats off to the gentleman who took care of me. Low pressure… you love to see it.
The only reason i am not giving the dealership all stars was because of Jill in finanace. Extremely rude and horrible customer service. Had Josh not been so wonderful i would have walked out. If there was a guarantee that no one had to deal with Jill, id send everyone I know to Josh. Quality service from him.
Horrible service! Made an appointment for a noise that my car is making. Was told when I arrived for the appointment that I would have to leave the vehicle. That was not mentioned when I made the appointment online. No loaners anymore and I have a job that I must be at and it’s my only vehicle. Used to give you loaners if you had to leave your vehicle. Service advisor acted like he could care less. “Service” has gone out the window… If this is how things will be, I won’t be buying/leasing anymore Chevy/GMC vehicles. Service your customers! This is what keeps them coming back to buy/lease. If you don’t service them, you’re going to lose them! I Will be going elsewhere.
I had a great experience here! Josh helped me find the perfect car and get it all set up. He was extremely kind and patient with me through out the whole process so I wasnt as anxious as I usually am. Looking forward to going back in a few years and finding future cars!UPDATE - I came back about a year later for an oil change and everything was still great!
Today I picked up a 2022 GMC Sierra 3500 from my sales associate Candace Smith. She did an excellent job in communicating through the entire buying process. She had the product knowledge to explain everything about my truck. That really helps with all the new things on today’s vehicles. I also had a pleasurable experience with Jill in the finance/paperwork department. She explained everything in my paperwork that was easy to understand. I would also like to say Thank You to the gentleman that detailed my truck. Great job. The sales mangers were very pleasant to speak with also making my buying experience very enjoyable.Thank You to everyone that played a part in my buying experience. Jim Barber
Purchased certified vehicle from this dealership and I was told that the car would be cleaned and tires would be checked. When I drove the car off the lot the tire pressure light came on, indicating that two of the tires were at 28psi and the other two at 33psi, the requirement for this vehicle is 35psi so I had to put air in the tires. In addition the car wasn’t cleaned very well there was dirt caked on the bumper as though the vehicle had not been washed at all. When I brought it to the attention of the salesman he said Thanks for letting him know, no apologies which seems a little unsympathetic. I work hard for my money I would appreciate being treated as a valued customer. I don’t think anyone would want to pay for and drive a dirty certified car off the lot with tire pressure light illuminated.
I was charged $50 for 3 wheels balanced and rotated because they couldnt do rhe 4th without telling me beforehand. They also wanted to charge me an extra $150 to troubleshoot play in my steering wheel for a simple alignment on a coupon. Who charges a customer for doing 3 wheels. thats ridiculous and I wont be coming back. Who does business like this?
Purchased a 2016 chevy Trax from this dealership Dec 2021. Burning oil smell and something wrong with the O2 sensor within DAYS of purchase. I work from home and hardly drive... I have had the vehicle for 2 mos and only put 400 miles on it! They will do NOTHING to help because I didnt buy a warranty and sold the vehicle as is. Even if I had purchased a warranty typically they have a wait period of so many miles or moths that you have to hit after purchase. So even if I did buy one how could I have used it? Mike says Ive worked here for years and we have never taken a car back. I know other dealerships who WILL work for their customer to make things right. THIS IS NOT ONE OF THEM. I do not recommend working with this dealership at all. I could understand not taking the car back but they wouldnt offer to help fix it or a trade deal or anything. I worked with Mike Abbo, the other managers are Scott Ziegler and Doug Zarnick. BUYER BEWARE OF THIS DEALERSHIP OUT TO MAKE MONEY AND NOT HELP THE CONSUMER!!!!! In this environment when used vehicles are so scarce TAKE CAUTION!!!
My associate Candace Smith was able to locate my Buick envision essence in finding one, then found out that the other dealership sold it before she could contact them, she then found me another one at another dealership picked it earlier today and Took delivery today. She was able to get my lease payments in the range that I wanted with the options and color. Jill in financial was very through in all the paperwork that needed to be completed. This is my second lease through Lunghamer and I recommend them to anyone looking for a GMC or Buick.
Save yourself the trip and drive right by this dealership They offer you $30k for a truck that blue books for $38,591-$42,304 during the middle of a vehicle shortage. Keep in mind this is while another sales associate an ear shot away is telling a customer how difficult it is for them to get new or used vehicles with the current market. Sales manager is a joke and wouldn’t even come back with a second offer. After reading multiple reviews on Lunghamers Facebook page about how rude and lazy he is, Im glad I didnt purchase anything from them. He never came up and introduced himself. Damone the sales associate who was helping me was great, that was the only positive experience with this dealership. Save your time and shop elsewhere because it’s obvious they don’t want to sell you a $60k truck.
Well I’ll start by saying the one star is because the salesperson was friendly.I don’t know what it is about somebody going into a dealership looking for a certified rather than new vehicle that it gets taken almost as a sign of desperation. The main reason for stopping in was an appraisal with the possibility of doing a deal if it was right. I’m not stranger to walking out on deals for one reason or another and I’ve only ever felt insulted two times, this was one of them. The trade in appraisal came in so low and the only reasons were cosmetic issues, wearing on the steering wheel and a little extra noise from the exhaust when you start the vehicle. It’s a 6 year old vehicle that I know isn’t perfect. But the absolute lowest end of KBB value wasn’t even met by half. And that’s KBB trade in value, not private. I was willing to accept less than KBB IF the price was somewhere at least in the ball park. We weren’t even in the same city as the ball park. What was presented to us was such a slap in the face that we will not only never do business here, but never have our vehicles serviced here again. We have gone no place else for service other than here for the past few years. They just lost pretty loyal customers.
Where do I start. Just bought a 2022 Denali and several mistakes were made. First show up with wife for a sale we made an appt for and salesperson doesnt greet us. Next could not put more than $5k on cc for purchase. Was never told prior there was a limit. This is a dealership thing. Ok just tell me so I dont have to run get a cashiers check 15 minutes before bank closes. Was told I could transfer plates but salesperson didnt check paperwork correctly and wanted us to skirt over $300 for their accepted mistake. Sorry they ate that one. Lastly dealership sends us out on 1/4 tank of gas after spending 70k +. Top it off dealer offered $1k on a 2015 Chrysler 300s that blue booked for a 10-13k dealer trade in. Problem seems to be inventory is tight and good old fashioned salesmanship has died. Had no other choice as we didnt want to wait 4 months for a new car. Thats ok though as I will never be back here or recommend this dealership to anyone.
Josh Schurig is the man to see! He took the time to listen to our preferences and concerns. Despite a low inventory, he ultimately found us a vehicle that was specific to our families’ needs and price point. Josh’s personal touch and thoughtful approach made him feel like a family friend much more than a car salesman. We’ll be back to see Josh for years to come!
Oil change, tire roation, and inspection report.Noticed the inspection report sated all tires were set to 35 PSI,The tire monitor showed the tires were rotated, because the the one that was 37 PSI was on the back right was now on the front left.Tire pressuresn were 35, 36, 36, and 37 PSI before the service and were 35, 36, 36, and 37 PSI. Just how accurate is the inspection report and was the oil filter changed?Im sure someone knows.
ASK FOR CHASE!!! Lunghamer has me as a lifelong customer and Chase is the absolute best salesperson, hands down. I have purchased two brand new vehicles off of him and he has gone above and beyond to make sure I got exactly what I wanted at a great deal. He is super nice, very knowledgeable, and not pushy at all. Dave and the finance ladies are awesome as well!!
I came in for an oil change/tire rotation on 2-10-22. Joey Z was my advisor and once again A+ service. Joey always very nice, a real cool dude and I appreciate it. Also, a shout out to Neil and Steve, cool dudes as well. Thanks again to the service team at Lunghamer GMC. See yall next time.Keenan Tucker Sr.
Candice was a very nice and friendly associate. Didnt get the same feeling about the new car manager. Seemed a bit arrogant. Also watched him deal with other customers and his body language said a lot. Hands in his pockets etc..The atmosphere wasnt really welcoming. Not sure that I truly got the best deal. I already knew what I was wanting and was pre-approved for financing. The new car manager said he could get me a better deal. 10 credit hits later. He did not. Not real happy with that. The numbers on my sales deal didnt even make sense. But in the end I knew what I was paying. Its now been 2 weeks and they still havent paid off my trade-in. Im sure I will get stuck with added interest that has accumulated since the deal.
I went in for routine maintenance and info. Sales manager Jason was so kind and knowledgeable. He spent plenty of time answering questions I had about how To effectively buy or lease a vehicle. He was completely transparent and told me that their sales team does not work on commission but instead they get salary. I was very impressed with his honesty and eased my mind about being an easy mark when I walk into a dealership. Lunghamer GMC on Highland Rd in Waterford is my neighborhood dealership and now my Go-To for buying and servicing my GMC. Thank you Jason for all your help. I would give six stars if I could!
I had a problem with my cue screen and thought it would be best to take it to a cadillac dealer since they would have had more experience fixing this notorious problem. I was given mis-information and a confusing estimate. I decided to take it to lunghamer instead because they have always treated me fairly.. Lunghamer gave me a straight forward estimate, and provided me with transportation to and from home. The repair was completed promptly and priced out below the estimate. Everything is perfect now and i am a happy customer of lunghamer.
My issue is not with the dealership itself. My issue is with the collision repair part of the dealership. Dan (the manager of the collision repair) was absolutely rude in how explained a situation to me. I came into the dealership to have something fixed that wasn’t fixed properly at the time of repair. I pointed out to the manager that my bumper was not put on properly and he started arguing with me stating that I must have bumped it and that it was my fault. I went to the dealership figuring it would be easier than going to a collision repair center outside of the dealership. It has not been easier. Dan was telling me I had to call the insurance company to see if they would approve the new repairs. I asked if they had touched my bumper in part of the repair process. He stated they had. I told them the bumper was not put back properly and it was not aligned properly. He was telling me that I had to have bumped it at some point for both sides to be not aligned. Which makes no sense. If I had bumped it there would be a dent on one side. There were no bumps. I had to get my husband on the phone so that Dan would stop talking to me in a disrespectful tone. Repairs are supposed to be guaranteed. I will never use this collision repair center again.
The real reason for my visit was not addressed. I had a check engine light come on a because a technician that could resolve the issue was unavailable, I had to schedule another appointment, and I’ll have to leave my truck over a holiday weekend. Not cool so I probably won’t go back.
Our saleswoman was awesome. The Service department is very condescending. They dont fully listen to the customer. And when I the issue is finally looked at, it is not noted on the service paperwork. Instead, the work was done for customer enthusiasm. I am not sure when any business that does warranty work...does it for customer enthusiasm.
I brought my frequent visitor 2019 Trax in for it’s list of warranty repairs.Ignition coil pack went out @ 10,500 miles.Service advisor acted unaware of the most common problem with the 1.4 baby turbo.Until next warranty visit.I’m sure it will be the catalytic converter next?Love alwaysBaby Turbo
Went truck shopping yesterday and after visiting the first dealership (which the sales person and inventory didnt suit us) our next stop ended us at Lunghamer GMC. We did our homework so we knew what we wanted. When we arrived here the exact truck (year, engine, color, trim) we wanted was parked in front and still running from a previous test drive that someone literally just did. Lucky for us the gentlemen who drove it didnt want to purchase it afterwards. We walked in and Candace, who was polite and professional, greeted us and went above and beyond to make our experience worthwhile. Having already test drove this model, I simply told her I wanted that truck, provided the pre-approval, and then began the process. Her communication with us was clear, was attentive to our needs, and the final price was exactly as negotiated. I would highly recommend her due to her positive attitude and exceptional knowledge for the car buying experience. She and the dealership earned our trust and would recommend to all. Best car buying experience weve ever had!
Contacted the dealership to check out a used 2016 yukon Denali. My salesman was Jordan he was very nice. They had the Truck pulled up for me already. Began with introductions then asked Jordan to show me some of the features. I was shown 3 features on the Denali. Obviously there is alot more. Was a bit disappointed with that. So I began checking the vehicle over. Everything worked except the wireless charger. I asked about it and was told I needed to connect via Bluetooth before it would wirless charge? I was surprised by that. Sounded strange so only people connected to the Bluetooth could charge there phone? took his word for it. Turns out the wireless charger does not work at all. So I was buffaloed about that. After checking out the rest of the vehicle and taking it for a test drive everything else worked. Signed papers everything went swimmingly. Got the keys and headed home. Within the hour of driving it home the passenger tail light went out. So when I got home I figured I would give them a call. Couldnt get ahold of anyone.... a couple days later I called my sales guy directly didnt get through so left a message and I am yet to hear back from them 4 days later now about 8 days since the sale. Its possible it just broke on the way home for the first time. I would think it to be unlikely but it is possible. Overall the experience there was ok at best. You would think if your buying a 40 thousand dollar car you would at least get a call back but nope not yet. Am I expecting them to fix the tail light at this point? No I would also think that to be unlikely at this point.
I typically am serviced by Joe or Neal when I bring my car in. Joe was my advisor for this visit and gave me excellent advice and service. My 2015 Yukon was not running properly and I had another auto shop diagnose and attempt to fix it several times to no avail. I went to the other shop to try to save money on the repair bill. Joe and your service team took their expertise and the necessary time to thoroughly diagnose my vehicle and find the problem by eliminating all but one possibility. After replacing the 6 fuel injectors on one side of my engine and cleaning other components, my 2015 Yukon XL Denali with 185,000 miles on the odometer runs better than when I purchased it pre-owned in 2017 and my gas mileage is equal to a new vehicle. I’m not sure if the repair bill would have been less at a local shop, but having the confidence that my SUV is running perfectly and good for several more years and hundreds of thousands of miles is worth what I paid to have it fixed properly! Thank you Joe and team!
THE SALES MANAGER JUST ADMITED TO ME THEY DONT DO ANY INSPECTIONS ON USED VEHICLES BEFORE PUTTING THEM ON THE LOT. We bought a 2012 Ford F-150 and 2 months later was handed a 7500$ repair bill. DIDNT EVEN OFFER TO THE SERVICE CENTER US OR ANYTHING DIDNT OFFER TO FIX IT. I asked the “sales manager” So you guys don’t inspect your vehicles before putting them on a this lot, he said no sorry
I have a salesperson like Patrick, has been a good experience. He was able to fulfill the needs of what I wished for. And deliver in a timely fashion. Its nice not to spend all day at a dealership when your sales person knows what youre looking for. Thank you very much Patrick I will continue to do business with you and our household for a long long time
Steve in the Service department was very polite, nice attitude and very accommodating. I brought my car in the night before my appointment and he checked me in early. Steve called the next day when it was done (very early I thought) and also saved me money from the estimate. The only nitpick I have is the car could have gone thru a wash if they have one.5+ stars!
Went in to test drive a 2018 Traverse. Nick was extremely helpful and took care of the test drive Right away. At the time I was simply shopping and I actually found a better deal elsewhere. Nick checked it out and his reply was honest and said it appeared that way and to see it through. When something is too good to be true it usually is, and after 30 minutes at a different dealer, and a poor experience, I called Nick and asked if we can talk again. His professionalism and knowledge made me comfortable from the get go, and there were never any issues with communication or integrity. Overall it was a great experience and would highly recommend anyone shopping for a pre owned vehicle to give him a shot.
After signing all of the paperwork and presenting the full amount for the purchase, my salesman Chase informed me that there was a plate fee of $299. I reviewed the contract and the license plate, State of Michigan Sales tax along with the transaction fee was included in the sales contact. This $299 fee was in addition to the amount I already paid in the sales contract. Once I confronted him with this fact, he changed the reason for fee from a license plate fee to a document fee for the dealership, which was not disclosed in the written agreement for the vehicle purchase. I felt like I was held hostage in having to pay this fee before I could get the keys and paperwork for my new vehicle. I will be filing a complaint with the State of Michigan, in addition to General Motors. I did pay this ransom fee so I could have a vehicle to drive home with. (I live 3 hours away and my transportation already departed.) Based on my experience, I would have cancelled the purchase and purchased this vehicle at another location. My next purchase will not be a GM vehicle.
Took my car in because it wouldn’t start after I replaced with new battery. Service technician called me back and said my brand new battery was bad and I needed to buy a new “GM “ battery before they could even diagnose my car problem. I told him my battery was just bought and if it is bad I will take it down the road to the auto store where I just bought it and have them give me a new one to replace the battery I just bought. The service technician said that wasn’t an option and he would have to charge me for them to take the battery out and new one back in. I said I’ll take the car back and change it out my self and then give the car back to the dealership. He once again said that wasn’t a option and if I wanted the car back to do that, I would have to be off the property ( with a car that won’t start) and I would be recharged for the car to be looked at again. So after going back and forth going nowhere I told him to just change the starter. Mechanic does that for $875 and my car now starts and low and be hold the service tech now says my supposed bad battery is good and should be fine. So now I drive my car home 1.5 miles away, and all of sudden I no longer have a front suspension, and my car is pretty much un-drivable. which was never a problem before I took the car in for a “starting problem” not any suspension problems. I would never have my wife and kids drive in any vehicle that is like this! So I Take car back up to dealership and now they want 1300 dollars for front struts, that magically went bad from that long 1.5 mile drive home and wheel alignment. I Never had any suspension problems, my wife’s car drove great before I brought it in to dealership for a starting problem. I will never bring a car to them again nor recommend Lunghamer to anyone. I Even talked to Scott supposedly the head manager of the dealership and was to no help. He offered to knock off another 40 dollars of what was quoted originally. And had the service manager call me back instead of him. Shame on you guys for your horrible car service and even worse customer service. I would give them o stars if possible.
Took my vehicle in for a recall on brakes. My service sheet clearly says not performed. I have the issues described with the recall - hard braking. We called back and was told it could be looked at for a fee. Took it to LaFontaine and they are actually fixing it - computer update and vacuum pump, as the recall calls for. Zero charge. Picking up and dropping my vehicle back off to me. Worth the extra drive for SAFETY and good service.
Damone and Jennifer were great, responsive and easy to work with. The used car manager significantly low balled us on our trades making it more complex to purchase / sell our trucks (over $6,000 lower than what we ultimately sold each truck for). If another dealer had the trucks we wanted on their lot and would have given us a fair deal on the trade, we would have gone there. The fuel put into the LD Denali that we purchased was bad and the truck stalled out while setting up the onstar call - we didnt take delivery that day. The 2nd truck we purchased, HD Denali, Damone agreed to put Shell fuel in rather than the on-site fuel. The porter also put a smudge on the headliner of the LD Denali that Damone noticed and cleaned for us prior to delivery.
Went in super excited to purchase a new car and left completely upset because their sales manager, Doug Zarnich, believes it’s okay to harass, put hands on and belittle their customers. I warn anyone to stay away from this dealership as they think being rude to customers is acceptable behavior.
I love my car just wish it was another color. I always said I wouldnt buy a white car, but it was the top of the line model and I loved the 2 toned interior thats what brought me to Joe Lunghamer because, I searched all other GM dealers and nobody else had Terrains with this interior. So I showed up and purchased the car. Im glad I did.
It started with no acknowledgement from service rep available to assist me. Advised same service rep of issues currently experiencing with my vehicle, and got the sense service needed he wasn’t really interested in performing. Then came time when vehicle maintenance service was completed; same service rep walked into waiting room to announce in front of all persons in waiting room my grand total. Got in to my vehicle and noticed no windshield sticker was placed to advise of next maintenance service due date. Experienced issues with this dealership previously and decided to give it another shot, and also voiced concerns on gm.com, nothing. It’s unfortunate, but speaks volumes of true customer service.
I purchased an Envision about a week ago from Lunghamer. My salesperson, Nick, was very knowledgeable and attentive.I usually go through the dealership for financing, but I thought it would be easier with my existing bank. Even though the banking experience was a disaster (it took more than 2 weeks) Nick was very helpful getting me through the process and answering all of my questions (and I had a lot of them). Thanks for everything!
My mother and I her son called about a appointment for a recall. We were told we dont have the parts in yet we have to order them.We will call you when we recieve them which was fine.3 to 4 weeks later we recieve a call parts are in lets schedule an appointment which was done. The day of the appointment we drop off the vehicle we get a call 3 hours later tell us we made a mistake the parts are not in.I understand mistakes but it just amazes me after all the scheduling lets not forget 3 to 4 weeks and dropping off a vehicle which I had to make arrangements to get ride back home then back up there to get with the job not done seems like someone or department are not very organized or responsible. Not a good way to get a customers confidence in the people doing the repairs and if the repairs are being done correctly. So i gave 1 star wish I could have given you 5 stars.Anyway I hope everybody has a blessed day.Thank you Dwight Jackson.
Update after owning the vehicle for 3 weeks:I realized there are abnormally amount of scratches on the vehicle. Not sure how the dealer do the CPO certification, or does exterior damages counts in the CPO process. The car drives fine, just the amount of exterior scratches drive me crazy. Maybe Im a bit too picky on a used car. But some of them are down to the primer layer and needs some work to fix it.Got a car from the used car lot over the weekend. Nick was really friendly and willing to help me going through the process. Car is in great condition and value. Good experiences over all. Ive gotten many cars through out the years, this is one of the best experiences I had.One thing they can do better in the future, make sure the photo of their cars are in high resolution, even cell phone photos can be better than theirs. Also make sure dont make the matte plastic surface shiny, it makes the interior looks cheap. :)
We had the very best experience with Nick. He was so helpful and really did everything he could to get us the best deal possible. We were looking for a used truck and Nick found the perfect one for our needs. We went to several other dealerships and all experiences ranged from not great to terrible. Then Nick listener to what we needed and made it easy and comfortable. He is the one to buy from, Nick at Lunghamer is our first choice for all future needs!
Very pleasant and informative and helpful. When looking for a new vehicle I googled GMC/ Acadia. Received 6 responses from several dealerships. My msg from Jennifer led me to follow up at Lunghammer. We greeted well and then introduced to Candace. Our experience was very pleasant and informative. I would recommend Candace to all my friends and family. I was having trouble with my phone when trying to download the GMC app. She patiently assisted me. It was the best purchase of a vehicle I have ever had. The atmosphere of the whole dealership was conducive to a pleasant experience. The radio station and music overhead was perfect.
This dealership is top notch. (Product and all the staff) Will not go anywhere else. Wes is my salesman and I was thoroughly impressed. Even setup my first oil change for me. Adam in service handled the transaction seamlessly and efficiently. Dont go anywhere else for your car needs. Even my finance guy was awesome!
I saw a car there I liked and wanted to look at. I called to make sure it was there since I live over an hour away. I was already put off by the terrible yelp reviews, but I wanted to give them a chance. I call and explain I want to check the availability for this car before I drive all the way there. I get put into a voicemail. I call back and say I need to speak with an actual person because I’m about to leave. Receptionist puts me into a voicemail again. I call a third time and I’m like “This is the last try. I don’t want to leave a message. I just need someone who can look at the inventory really quick.” Which I already told her the first time. So I finally get a guy (I think named mike.) I give him the stock number of the car and confirm the last four of the VIN. He tells me the car is silver (it’s purple) and that it’s a preferred trim (it’s premium trim). He insists he’s looking at that exact car and it is silver so their website is wrong. I search the vin for a vehicle description and I’m confident he is wrong. I had the day off so I drove there anyway even after reading the bad reviews and having this experience so far. I pull in and low and behold there it is. The exact car I called about purple premium stock and VIN numbers correct and on the sticker. That’s where Jordan another sales guy comes in. He was awesome! He was professional, efficient and not pushy or annoying at all. I take the car for a drive and look at it top to bottom. Aside from a few imperfections (rust bubble starting on hood a few scratches etc) it looks pretty good. It does need new tires in the next year for sure. Anyway I make an offer and I point out that the car was listed for 24,100 last month, but is now listed for 24,900. He gives me some coronavirus excuse about not being able to buy more inventory. Whatever. So I’m like if you were gonna profit off it at $800 less, there has to be some wiggle room in the price. Nope. They wouldn’t even budge with their $400 “mark up fee” not a single dollar. It was just overall disappointing knowing it was listed for $800 less a month before. Corona started in March and dealerships can absolutely still buy cars. I wasn’t even asking for the original price, so they’re just greedy to try and get sticker price. In emailed the manager to let him know if there was any room in the price, I would come buy it. No response so far, but overall, just go somewhere with good customer service and get a deal.
Katie Rola helped me find the perfect vehicle! She was attentive, listened to what I wanted, went out of her way to make sure I was happy with me decision, and had great communication on updating me when my new 2020 Terran was ready for me to pick up.Jill Boyle helped me with the financing and was also did an excellent job!
I own a service business myself. I am not easy to please and do not go back to a business that provides a poor experience. The best evidence of my experience is that I decided for the 4th time to do business with Katie Rola and Lunghamer Buick GMC. The formula is quite simple but hard for many: Katie is very responsive and helpful without being pushy. That is a formula for success.
I set up an appointment to come in and see about a new vehicle. I worked with Heather. She was great. She understood what I was willing go pay and what I wanted to lease and she pulled it off rather quickly! She was not pushy as all which was really nice! Very friendly and helpful. I would recommend her to anyone!
I am so disappointed with this dealership. After calling and speaking with someone 3 times I was given a price range for the vehicle I was interested in. I was told to come in and ask for her, upon doing so I was directed to another very nice girl. After she spoke with the sales manager he came with with a price nearly $100 MORE a month than I was quoted on the phone. I was then told the girl I spoke with on the phone cannot give prices. Complete waste of my time. I would have never made a trip into the dealership if I would have been given an accurate price the first 3 times I called.
Pat our sales person met and exceeded our requests. Everyone at the dealership was incredibly nice, including the body shop. I was hit 2 days after I picked up my new Terrain and Dan was very efficient in getting the quote to my insurance so that the repairs could start quickly!
Took my SUV in for service. Was told last time I brought my car in for service that my first year free maintenance service expired at the end of the month. When i brought my car in prior to the end of the month, I was told the free maintenance expired two days prior and there was nothing they would do to work with me. Called corporate GM they couldnt even get someone to answer the phone at the dealership to talk to them. Not only will not be back for service, but i will not be back to this dealersip to buy a new car when my lease is up.
Had a rather frustrating used car experience. Prior to visiting the dealership, I wanted to get an idea of what the car was going to cost out the door and a ballpark estimate on my used car trade in. I was able it get neither quote online via email prior and was forced to visit the dealership. I worked with Nick and he was nice. But I drove all the way there to see the car and only to be disappointed that the numbers didnt quite line up to what I expected. If youre just going to give me an invoice thats no different that what I can generate online using generic numbers, why not give the customer that information? Then you asked for the high end of the price spectrum for a car with dings and scratches and curb rash on all 4 wheels. I guess someone will be willing to pay $1200 over fair price for a below average condition vehicle.
Purchased my first car, a 2016 Chevy Impala, from this dealership. Everyone at the dealership was very friendly! Gordie is amazing! He made my experience as a first time car buyer easy and painless. He makes you comfortable by making you laugh during the car buying process which can be stressful. He made sure I was getting the best deal possible and was very knowledgeable regarding any questions I had. Was not pushy at all. The finance manager, David, got me the best deal on financing. Im so happy with my purchase. I would definitely recommend this dealership! If you go here...ask for gordie!
Sold my vehicle out from under me.Im still angry, but in the name of a useful review, Ill stick to the facts until the end.Last Monday, I used the shop click drive on the Lunghamer web site and found the vehicle I was looking for. I worked via email with the online sales person to work out the details and schedule. A build sheet was created with all costs, etc for a particular VIN. I made the appointment to pick it up and sign paperwork for today (Friday) as to have time to square things away for both partiesI acquired insurance and secured a loan with my credit union for the vehicle, cleaned up my trade in, got the title and everything else in order. Took a half day of vacation to show up and have plenty of time for everything.Showed up, the front desk had my appointment and I was put with a salesman who upon looking up the vehicle, told me the dealer traded my vehicle to another dealer on Wednesday. They found a similar vehicle in stock for me to look at. They then appraised my trade. I had it appraised in my shopping recently and also knew from working online the fair value based on mileage and condition. When the salesman brought back their offer, it was under half Kelly Blue Book , NADA, and two other dealers. I walked out gracefully hiding my rage. Bought the vehicle I was looking for tonight at another dealer who was awesome.Opinion: Please take your business elsewhere. There are plenty of other GMC / Buick dealers out there willing to treat you decently. Dont get taken.
I had a great experience at Lunghamer Buick GMC in Waterford.. The salesman Nick was awesome and he got me into a car that I really wanted. The financial manager Jennifer was also great to work with and when I went in to have the headlight replaced, the service guy Joey was a really great guy too. Overall, its a great place to buy a car and those 3 people in particular made it very comfortable and it was as enjoyable as buying a car at a dealership can possibly be.
My experience here on 7/15/19 started out well and ended terribly. I walked in knowing exactly what car I wanted and ended up buying it. Towards the end of the process, my salesman told me that something was wrong with their system and that he would not be able to get me my new plate and registration that day. I informed him that my mailing address was in Chicago, IL and that I was moving on 7/31/19 in order to ensure that my plate would be received before then. He stated that he would be putting it in the mail the next day and giving me a temporary plate in the meantime. A week later I find out that he finally sent it out in the mail but in just the regular USPS mail with no tracking number, while knowing that I was in the process of moving and that a license plate and registration is very important. Still to date I have no idea where my plate is. My temporary plate that they gave me only lasted until 7/30/19 which caused me to receive a parking ticket on 8/4/19. I ended up having to take a whole day off of work to drive (2 hours one way) from Chicago, IL to the closest MI Secretary of State to go get another plate since SOS would not allow to have another one requested via online or over the phone. When I informed my salesman that I received a parking ticket due to his mistake he did not do anything to help the situation, not even to just write a letter to say this was all his mistake in order for me to hopefully have my ticket successfully contested. I also spoke to the manager about my expired temporary plate and how her salesman lost my plate in the mail she failed to help at all and just forwarded my call back to her salesman. All in all, terrible customer service and would recommend to stay far away from this place.
Had a Great experience overall at this location when I decided to purchase a new vehicle. Nick was awesome and very personable! He helped me get into my new 2015 Chevy Traverse LS and I couldnt be happier with it! Definitely will be recommending him to friends and family! And I almost forgot to mention... THEY HAVE THE BEST PRICES AROUND!
Our experience with the Lunghamer Buick GMC Service Department was very disappointing. We were asked to make an appointment to have a hitch installed on our new leased 2019 Terrain. So we made an appointment for 10:00 am on Thursday, January 3rd.We dropped the car off at 9:30 am and were told we could leave and the vehicle would be ready by 1:00 pm. The purpose of the appointment was so we did not have to wait in the customer service lounge for hours. When I called at 1:00 pm to check on the progress, I was told that there were 2-3 cars still ahead of ours and it would be 5:00 -6:00 pm before it was completed. The dealership apparently places a higher priority on those customers who chose to wait in the lounge. This of course undercuts the very reason to make an appointment. If you are not willing to wait in the lounge, then those who made appointments are given lower priority and slipped to the back of the list. This, of course, tells you that the dealership does not value the time of its customers equally. At about 6:00 pm we were called and told the car was ready but we told them it was too late in the evening and would pick it up in the morning. We picked up the car on Friday, January 4th and the installation was fine. However, inasmuch as the dealership does not treat all its customers equally, - those who chose to wait and those who bother to make an appointment - we will be hard pressed to have any but the most necessary work performed there. The incredible thing is that the whole purpose of offering appointments to customers is that the customers time is of value and the dealerships policy of valuing the time of those who wait versus those who make and appointment, totally undercuts equal treatment of customers and undercuts customer loyalty.
Worst dealership ever. I went to look at a car and they were very rude but I wanted this car really bad, so I looked past that and made an appointment to come back to purchase the car because an appraiser wasn’t available to appraise my trade in, however the very next day they call me to tell me that the vehicle had been sold, so what was the purpose of giving me an appointment to buy the car if you were going to sell it. Would not get a vehicle from here if they were giving it to me. Jordan and Doug were quite rude, maybe it was because a 64 year old black woman, if it wasn’t that’s definitely how they made me feel! I also intend to continue to pursue this customer service issue, it’s not about the car anymore I can just go to another dealership but it’s more about the way I was treated!
We went to the dealership last night after work. We met with Steve and let him know what we were looking for. Steve was very quick to find the vehicle we were looking for. Steve is very friendly and a pleasure to work with. I have owned Jeeps since 1994 and this was my first time at looking at anything besides a Jeep product. Steve totally sold me AND gave me exactly what I was looking for in the price range I was willing to pay. Everyone was very courteous and friendly. I would highly recommend them and I will definitely be coming back here in the future for vehicles.
I have been in 3 times in the last few months all for random things with my vehicle and Adam was my Service Advisor each time and it was a pleasure working with Adam. The first time was a quick oil change and the other times I had to leave my vehicle. Adam made sure to keep me up to date on what was happening with my vehicle and the turn around time was amazing. I want to thank Adam and the Lunghamer family for providing stellar service! Exceptional!
I had a great experience when I leased my 2013 Regal, so I called back my salesperson when she called me about options, knowing that my lease was up soon. They found me the best fit / best deal by far, and made the pick up / purchase experience as painless as it could possibly be, even considering that they were swamped with End of Year sales. Thanks again!Update:George and Mike have been helpful, this is the third buick Ive leased from Lunghamer, and it has been a fast, seamless process every time.
My husband and I were in Michigan visiting for a weekend when we found a deal on an Acadia in Virginia (where we live) online. We werent sure about the interior color of the vehicle so stopped into Lunghamer in hopes of seeing the color in person. After a few minutes of chatting with a very kind employee who happened to be near the front desk, we determined the price we were offered in Virginia wasnt so great. Enter: Wes! We sat down with Wes and went over what I was looking for as well as the things I was willing to compromise on. Wes energy was contagious! He made the whole process so fun! The car I wanted wasnt available then but I told Wes that if he could dealer trade for the right car, we would drive back to MI for Christmas to get the car. A few days later I got an email--Wes found *exactly* the car I wanted! We drove up to MI and picked up the new car on December 23. If not for Wes making the whole experience fun, Im not sure we would have made the deal (driving from VA to MI with three dogs in a too small car isnt fun!). But it was totally worth it--and our families were very happy to have us home for the holidays (and the dogs are very happy to have a car they can ride in comfortably). I cant say enough good things about Wes. He genuinely wanted to help and was completely wonderful from beginning to end.
My salesperson, Miranda Sigelko, was the best! Usually, looking for a new car is an activity I dread. Miranda was friendly and very helpful each step of the way and made it a pleasurable experience for me! The finance manager and other people she introduced me to were nice as well. The dealership is an hour away from me, but it was worth the good customer service. Plus, they participate with the Costco Auto Program, which was great as well. Thanks, Miranda!
Just leased a new truck through Lunghammer GMC. It was a great experience and the team there made it so easy for us! We shopped around a bit and chose to get our vehicle from Lunghammer GMC because they had a good selection, great pricing and a can do attitude! Ask for our salesman—Pat—when go there for your next vehicle.
On Friday, Feb 22 I purchased a 2013 Buick Enclave from Lunghamer Buick-GMC. Jennifer Whitt, my salesperson did an ABSOLUTELY OUTSTANDING job through out the entire delivery. My Enclave was delivered to the dealership at noon and by 5pm I was taking delivery. Jennifer walked me through the vehicle to be sure I was familiar and introduced me to all Service, Parts and Collision Departments so I would feel welcome when I needed to return. She was meticulous in her inspection of the vehicle to make sure that it was 100% clean and functional prior to my taking the keys. Meghann Snow, the Finance Manager did a great job ensuring that the sale was completed and that my money was taken with a smile! I had a great experience with the professionals at Lunghamer Buick-GMC and would highly recommend them to anyone!
I wish I could rate this with 10 stars! Candace was EXTREMELY helpful and catered to my vehicle needs. I was able to get the best monthly payment, financing options, and vehicle features through Lunghamer. I work in the auto industry and felt the need to shop around previously. Lunghamer blew all other dealerships out of the water when it came to vehicle selection, client experience, and efficiency. I will be purchasing all of my future vehicles from here!
Don’t go here. Either completely incompetent, stupid or plain old dishonest!!!!Here’s how it went down.....we were there this past weekend and initially looked at a light silver Yukon XL. However, it didn’t have several options we wanted/needed so we then looked at, and test drove, a darker silver Yukon XL in a color called satin steel. After returning from the test drive, we asked Jessica to price it out for us. We were given a price and went home to think about it.After much investigation on line and time spent at other dealers, we told Jessica our bottom line number that we were comfortable with. She responded that yes, we can get you that price, and we still have the satin steel Yukon XL on the lot. We arrange to even start the paperwork on line and will come to finish the transaction yesterday or today.Lo and behold, all of a sudden now the price was somehow not for the car we have all been talking about, but now is for the light silver one we looked at first. What?!?!?! Seriously?!?!? We have all the emails to prove it, too. No apologizes, no attempt to make it right and no ownership of their mistake. This was very reminiscent of the old bait and switch, just painted in a different way. Be careful guys, that tactic is still illegal in many states and countries. So disappointed because this dealership was recommended to me by a couple of my patients who work for GM.Won’t make the mistake to continue the recommendation of this dealership in my medical practice.
I am always quick to recommend Bruce, Bill and the rest of the team at Lunghamer. We recently completed our familys 10th lease with them. Its extremely hard to find a group as fast and efficient. Most importantly they offer very transparent pricing - what Bruce says youre going to pay is exactly what youre going to pay. No hidden docking fees, taxes, or random charges. Customer service is top notch and you cant beat the delivery!!
Wes was great! Everyone that I interacted with was great too.Even the financial manager was very fun and easy to work with! He had us laughing as we were going through the motions, and helped make our decision about wheel and tire protection a no brainer when we were questioning whether or not to add it.Everything went better than planned and I am so excited about my new Terrain!!!I have a salesman and chevy and at ford, and walking into Lunghamer was on a total whim, but I am so glad I did, and now I can say I have a great salesman at GMC too!Thank you all for all your hard work and attention to detail. I will be back in 36 months for round 2!
I just leased a 2020 Buick Enclave and I have the highest praise for Lunghamer Buick GMC and my salesman Wes Howland. This is the second vehicle I have leased with Lunghamer, my previous being a 2017 Enclave. I had a great experience in 2017, so I returned for the 2020. I had a few months before my current lease was up and Wes worked diligently over several weeks to to find the perfect vehicle at a great lease rate for us. The Enclave is beautiful and Wes was outstanding! I will always go to Lunghamer first when Im in the market for a new vehicle. I have leased many vehicles over the years and my experiences at Lunghamer has been the best.
I brought my vehicle in to have the shocks replaced and to have a vibration investigated. I suspected that my car was in need of an alignment (vibration felt between 70-75 mph). When the service writer called to let me know that the technician could not feel the vibration without taking my vehicle on the expressway (in order to hit the speed necessary), I told I dont think he needs to do that. Just go ahead and add the alignment onto the service. I picked up my vehicle (nearly ten hours later) and noticed that there has been 30+ miles put on my milage. NOT happy with this!On top of that, my radio had been left at half volume. I had turned the volume down completely and shut the radio off when I dropped of my vehicle for service. And not only did I have readjust the drivers seat (which I expect), I also had to adjust the front passenger sear! Why?Although the work itself done on my vehicle was completed to satisfaction, Im not sure whether or not Ill be returning to this deanship for service.
This is the WORST dealership EVER.. If I have one person not deal with what I have dealt with its better. You buy from a dealership so you can trust you are getting a good car. I bought a 2014 GMC with 50,000 miles on it. ONLY four months later it just got out of the shop for 3,000 in repairs. THEY NEVER checked this car over. My mechanic said this is the WORST kept car he has EVER seen and any mechanic would have seen there was a HUGE problem in the engine that they would have had to over ride codes on. They seen my husband coming from a mile away not being a car guy and trusting the car was checked. Thats why he bought from a dealership and not some guy off the road. STAY away I have called this place three times and left messages with NO return phone call. DONT GO NEAR THIS PLACE.
I’m waiting on a return call about a warranty and possible recall on my leased vehicle per a problem that I was notified by your service department. You put used tires that I think were recalled on my car. I’m about 6k under in my miles and had to replace $392 in tires.
This is a warning to anyone considering purchasing a GM Vehicle. I purchase my car new in 2013 for around $32,000, it is now worth $7,500. Since that purchase Ive had it in for repairs 9 times for manufacturer defects, and poor/low quality of parts and service. The service department at this dealership is awful, rude, and they will attempt to rip you off every occasion they can. The several times Ive been in the dealership, (while waiting for my car to be repaired), I actually did not receive any assistance, despite I really wanted a new Yukon. Ive also been to the service center at Lunghamer Chevy (Horrible experience, I left there very upset, on a warranty item.) at Moran Chevy (The service person lied to me, and they refused to actually tell me the issue after they fixed it, I also scheduled several different appointments, but each time I arrived, they had canceled it). In summary, the customer service was terrible in the dealership, in the service center, and the car I purchased is a heap of garbage. Not to mention, the overall dealership experience is terrible by design, and every GM service center Ive been to for warranty (or any) issues has also been terrible. I even overpay for oil changes and windshield wipers.
I went to Lunghamer and found a used 2014 Jeep Patriot that had all the upgrades I was looking for with only 50,000 miles. The price was a little high but I was willing to make the deal. The salesman had a vacation to go on that evening and had no interest in selling me the car. I took the day off work to look for cars and he told me to leave and come back the next time I had the day off and hope the car was still there. On top of him being rude he had no answers for the question I had about the car when we were test driving. Even though I did not want to give that dealership my business, they had the car I wanted so I decided to purchase. The closing took an extensive amount of time ending with the surprise of only receiving one set of keys for my new 18,000 dollar car! Flash forward 4 weeks and my car is in the shop for a serious transmission issue. I was assured it was in good condition and having my transmission light on not even a month later is not good condition. I Do NOT recommend Lunghamer.
I have had horrible service at this location several times and have purchased 3 cars from them.First situation occurred several years ago when purchasing a certified car. I had to take my car into the tire shop and the worker pointed out that the frame to the new car was bent and that there was body work done to it. This was further confirmed by a different dealership that I asked to look at it. When I took the car back in to Lunghamer I was charged to trade cars for a non-damaged one.Second situation was 2 years ago after hitting a deer. I took my new car (purchased it 2 months prior) for the repairs into their collision shop. When getting it back the paint was 2 different colors - by a lot, not just a slight shade. They also replaced parts with used parts when my insurance company paid them to use new. Was told that was the best they could do. I traded that car in November of 2017, when trading in the car i was charged over 2k due to the accident and condition of body. There was no other damage to it other than what I TOOK IT TO THEM TO FIX!The car that I wanted to purchase was not on the lot at the time and unavailable for the test drive that day but could drive it the day I was to purchase it so I test drove a similar one. I dont think that is uncommon and didnt think much of it. The day I came to purchase the car it was poring down rain and I did not search the car over like I should have. Three days after purchase I noticed that the back end of the new car was hit, a plastic piece was broken from the back and the clips over the wheel well were broke there was also hail damage to the hood and roof. The sales man told me that they have a small plastic piece and for me to come get it but as far as the repairs where it was hit, they will not fix because I did not see it when I took it off the lot. I asked about the hail damage to the roof and hood and he told me the same, I did not see it when it left the lot therefore it is on me to have repaired. He did say that he would talk to the owner but more than likely would not do anything about it. He was right. What a horrible thing to have to do is pay $18k for a car that is damaged and they wont make it right.
Salesman Michael and used car manager Doug are worthless. First off the salesman mike used his cell number in the ad to make it look like a private owned vehicle. When I called he never once said he was a dealer. And answered my questions like the car owner would of. When I asked when I could see it his reply was the address and he would be home all day. Sold a used car with no working headlights, wipers or brake lights. Responds when I went back 12 hours later was “hey, it’s a used car”. I would expect that from some off the wall used car lot but not a major dealership. I would of thought it would of went through some kind of safety inspection before setting it on the lot. First and last car I will ever buy from them and I make sure I tell this story to Anyone looking to buy a car. Used car manager was rude, loud and very disrespectful. STAY CLEAR OF THEM.
The salesman was nice, ended up buying a used vehicle from them, but their service department needs to pay a little more attention to detail when prepping vehicles. Got home and went to use the windshield wipers and they were pretty much falling off then a month later noticed oil leaking and luckily it was just cause my oil filter was loose.
Service had me in and out in under 2 hours. Had a flat by there place, walked in as soon as they opened. They took me in, changed the oil, replaced the tire and rotated them. I was on my was to work by 8:30. I had called roadside assistance at 6:30 and was informed they wouldnt be there till 8.
I dropped a credit card out of my pocket when I signed in for my oil change. I noticed it was missing as soon as I sat in the waiting room and backtracked to my vehicle, checking the floor, the car and under the seat. No luck. Contacted the credit card company a few hours later and found it already had been used for $400 in purchases. Oh, the oil change? Not sure. The last vehicle seriously needed brake fluid and power steering fluid soon after being serviced.
Drove in because check-engine light was on. Was told would be at least on hour before someone could look at it. I asked about my options and was told I could be shuttled back/forth home or they would supply a vehicle. Vehicle was supplied and I was nicely reminded to make sure gas tank was full on return. My only negative comment would be my surprise that a Buick dealership does not have a car wash for the serviced vehicles, I guess this isnt my fathers Buick. I would have thought a clean vehicle after paying over $100 for service was normal and part of customer service.
Rob was a great sales rep to work with. We knew exactly which vehicle we were interested in and he was helpful, friendly, and professional. Our credit union said that he was responsive and easy to work with. We appreciated that we drove off of the lot with a real license plate and tags, and the dealership does not force customers to advertise by placing a dealership name sticker on the back of the car. Everything regarding the extended warranty and Onstar was explained well and the office offered extended hours to pick up the car. The only reason we rated four stars instead of five is that we thought the $398 dealer markup fee which was added along with the $200 document fee - onto the price of the car and taxed - was misleading. But all in all we are very happy with our purchase - and working with them was worth the drive.
BELIEVE THE OTHER NEGATIVE REVIEWS!!I purchased a 2017 GMC Sierra Denali Ultimate, and in the process I priced Lunghamer. They were $4100 higher than what I ended up paying for the vehicle from a competitor. Their sales team were friendly, and even the manager came out to talk. As much as I wanted to keep my business local, I couldnt pay $4k more then the pricing at other dealers. Now to the reason this is a 1 star dealer. Worst service ever!I have 4 vehicles that were purchased new over the last 3 years, and I have NEVER experienced worse service in my life. I called to setup a windshield replacement and an oil change, it took a few days but the windshield arrived. They called me to schedule an installation the next day, and told me to drop the vehicle off at night or early in the morning and it would be ready by 1pm (we were going on a trip using this truck to pull a trailer). I dropped the vehicle off as directed the night prior. I called at 1pm the next day to check on it (I was never updated on the status) but I was promised the car would be ready. .I explained to them that I was told it would be ready by 1pm, because we were going on a trip, hence why I dropped it off the night prior. After a hold I was told the glass people would be there shortly and it will be ready by 3pm.I called them at 3:30 to see if I should head up there, because we were waiting to leave on the trip. They told me they ordered the wrong windshield and the oil change was all set, and I could come pick up the truck.I arrived to find that my truck was never even looked at, the oil change wasnt done, and the service person told me We can get your truck right in for an oil change, it will be ready in 45 minutes.I told them no, and left.I called Golling GMC in Lake Orion when we got back from our vacation. They handled everything in 2 hours, and treated me like I would be expected to after purchasing a $68,000 truck. Golling is BEYOND a 5 star dealer, and Lunghamer was literally the worst dealership experience I have ever had.Zero communication, over promising, and under-delivering.Give the sales team a shot, but look elsewhere for any service needs.
Came in with a broken headlight that was previously fixed numerous times at another location and came here to find out why the same light was turning off. Brad was so nice and helpful that he showed me where the previous mechanic went wrong and fixed the part right away. Love the customer service here and his professionalism!!! I will be back.
Purchased 2017 Envision Essence. Had 1 key that did not go with the vehicle (no remote start/no hatch button/no unlock if vehicle is approached). Had to pay $300 for two new keys.Agreed on purchase price. Was hit with a $400 dealer markup fee (???). Was told by used car manager that I could leave if I didnt like it.I have purchased 3 vehicles from Lunghamer (1 new, 2 used). New car experience was fine. Used car experience was pitiful. Lunghamer GMC Buick used car sales will never get my business again. Very shady and unprofessional.
My husband and I had been discussing getting a new car for a while. Sometimes, being a GM employee can be a deterrent for sales people, but not Wes!We had a very good idea of what we wanted when we walked in the door. Wes was right there to greet us, and didn’t bat an eye when we told him we had a very specific car in mind. When we discovered that the color we thought we wanted wasn’t on the lot, Wes suggested we look at the same car only in a different color, just to get the feel for it. Turned out, the color was better than what we originally wanted. When we had to leave to make an hour round trip to get our down payment, Wes didn’t even flinch, just said everything would be ready when we got back. And it was!!!!After we finished all the paperwork, Wes sat in the car with me to go over all the technology in the car, helped me set up OnStar and sink my phone...he truly went above and beyond! I am positive we will come back to Wes for future purchases.
I tried twice at this dealer to get an oil change. The first time I called and set an appointment. When I arrived at the scheduled time I was told my appointment for the following day. Unable to make that the following day I rescheduled later in the week. When I got there for that appointment I was told I was 2 hours late, and that they were backed up. It was somehow my fault that they entered the time and date wrong not once but twice! This dealers service department is a joke and I will not be returning. Good luck making an appointment because they will just tell you that youre wrong.
Ive had good service so far in both sales and service.I appreciated the fact that I had several questions the service dept was able to answer. One thing about sales that I ran into is that I had a new sales person who didnt know much about my vehicle, so I had several questions when I took it in for the first oil change.
Excellent service and friendly staff. I had a bad experience at another dealership. Lunghamer was understanding and fixed the problem. Their staff went above and beyond to deliver my car when the service was complete. I will definitely be using them again. I cant say enough good things!
The salesman was unprofessional and rude. He gave a really low offer for trading my car. I politely told him I am not going to trade in my car and gave him a counter offer to buy their car. He became really rude at that point and told me he felt offended to hear the price and acted very unprofessionally. I just left that place and never going back.
Going in skeptical about dealerships, i didnt know what to expect. I met with a younger gentlemen by the name of Chase and he immediately made it a better experience. Still not the biggest fan of dealerships, but would highly recommend the staff here and the way they do things.
We had a wonderful experience buying our new Buick from Kevin. Everyone else at the dealership was so kind and helpful! We love our Buick Enclave. When the service department located a watch left in our returned lease vehicle Smittie (service department) immediately called me. THEN he insisted on dropping it off at our home! Talk about going above and beyond!!
I dropped my car off for a creaking noise that was very loud. They charged me $233 to fix it. But the noise is still there. They said it was because I didnt have GM brakes on there. I got no car wash either paying $233 and there was a scratch on my leather seats that wasnt there. Find another dealership. This is awful. I dont have money to waste. Most car places wash your car. I know they did every other place. When I called back about it, they dismissed me, so Im done.
I contacted lunghammer inquiring about a used vehicle. Nicholas Zarnick was quick to respond, answering all my questions; even Sunday on his day off.I went in after work, the car was exactly as described. Nick was great with helping me figure out how to work everything. Actually knew the car unlike many other dealers Ive dealt with who have no clue about the car they are trying to sell.Ended up purchasing the vehicle. Transaction was smooth. Was an easy transaction. Thank you Nick
Best experience ever! GMC Longhamer has helped me so much and even found me a better price then my auto loan with my credit union. The process was so smooth and easy going. Everyone is so friendly and helpful. Mike Abbo went above and beyond and I can drive away with the car Ive always wanted with no hassle.
From the initial conversation, Lunghamer was more of a trusted advisor than a salesperson. The initial conversation is the reason why I continued through to the close of the deal. The finance person was extremely helpful and more of a coach that a traditional finance person in the deal flow.
Wish I could give negative stars! Was in contact for a couple of days with this dealer to purchase a vehicle. Purchase agreement sent to bank, loan approved, appointment set to come get the vehicle sight unseen and get a text from the salesman stating they sold it out from under us. Completely unprofessional and unethical. This is why dealerships get a bad name!! What a disgrace!!!
I just bought a GMC from there , the sales person was Nick Zarrnick, that is the first time I work with good service like that at a dealership, especially how easy going and host he was, he was responsible and he would text me and call me with updates, I really recommend buying from Nick.
Leased a Brand New GMC Sierra and had an excellent experience. Miranda was my sales associate and we were able to establish via text/email what I was looking for before I even stepped foot into the dealership. Once I arrive the truck was waiting there with a plate on it for a test drive already. She went the extra mile and I would buy another truck from them without a doubt. Excellent Customer Service!
Im disappointed the the transparency of the service department. The service rep called to tell me that a wheel speed sensor was bad which was $60, but the part has been replaced with a new senor so i need to also change out the module for $250 that isnt bad, they just cant get the old sensors anymore. I asked for the part number and he wouldnt give it to me. My vehicle was being repaired there with $1400 worth of other parts and services. And Im paying $80 fee for them to tell me whats wrong. With that $80 i expect the part number of the part they say is bad. Instead kept putting me on hold to come back and tell me he cant give me that information. I have only bought new gm vehicles and only had them serviced at GM dealers. Im now rethinking my decisions and will probably go elsewhere from here on out.
We have never had anything but excellent service every time we come in with our vehicle for service or repair. Or if we are just visiting to see the new cars. And our experience when we went through the leasing process was definitely five star. We consider Lunghamer Buick or new car dealership for life.
Tricky people at the dealership I called Jennifer to purchase 2020 GMC Sierra and she kept calling me to confirm the appointment the day after they made an excuse that she is in a meeting and she send me somebody else she have told me on the phone a $30,000 for purchasing that vehicle!the day after when I arrived the price was different to $38,00”!!!don’t go they are not professional and they going to rip you off about Dealership.
I went in today with my daughter who needed a car. I found the whole team to be dishonest throughout the process. She was already preapproved however they insisted on running her credit through their system. The dishonest part is they waited until the end during signing paperwork to say they were running it again. I would not have bought from them but it was her choice. I hate dishonest sales people. I would not choose this place for MY car needs.
I had an issue with my car the Ac wasn’t working so I called the dealer where I bought my car from when I arrived there on Friday I was created by Brad and he was helpful and he even got me a car to use while my car was in service. I also had a cracked windshield class and asked if they can fix it there and he said that we deal with an outside company that comes out to the dealer and fix it on spot. He called back on Monday and was told there was a recall on the ac and it will be fixed but also they found few other issues and I agreed to have them fix it. Brad mentioned that he will call me once everything is fixed. I received a call at 5:30 from joe and was told my car is ready and I asked how about the windshield is it fixed he said yes. So I dragged my 2 kids where they were suppose to get ready for bed at 7:30 and when I arrived there I noticed the windshield wasn’t fixed. So when I mentioned it to service person name Neil, he says well we don’t replace windshield class here you can take your car and go fix it somewhere else or leave it here and I will talk to brad in the morning. I said I have no choice he answers back with a smart remark you do have a choice either you take it and get it fix somewhere else or leave it here with an attitude!! Today Tuesday I waited for someone to call me and keep me updated no one called so I called and left a message for brad he call back promptly he apologized and said he is still waiting for the class company to come out and fix it. So I asked to speak to a supervisor and he was happy to do so but when Sean gets on the phone doesn’t even say any thing and I had to ask did brad explained the situation he says yes he did and doesn’t even bother to say sorry for the inconvenience I apologize didn’t even care and I don’t appreciate this customer service. My car is still there and all I have to say I could of went to any gmc dealer and didn’t have to drive 40 minutes to take to the one I purchased it from. But I know a lesson learned you never get any business from that’s for purchasing a new car or even service my Cars there in the future.... they need to learn customer satisfaction is very important...
I went with my granddaughter last week to purchase a certified pre-owned vehicle from Lunghammer GMC/Buick. I had previously purchased a certified pre-owned and a new vehicle from this dealership. I have always been treated with respect at this dealership and this time was no exception. Our salesman, Nick Zarnick, was the consummate professional and handled the transaction with care. Lunghammer does not haggle much with pricing but when you investigate you will find their cars are fairly priced to start. I will certainly recommend this dealership to others as I have used them for three purchases. Each time was a great experience.
Recently took two tries to fix an intermittent problem. I understand multiple tries for an intermittent, but they wanted to charge me the warranty deductible on the second attempt. Why would I pay for a failed repair? They held my car hostage, and I ended up having to berate the service rep over the phone until he waived the fee. Service should be more than reading codes and swapping parts. All the stars here are for Glenda and Alex in the loaner department - they went above and beyond. But I will never come back.
Went in Saturday to look for a new truck. I was walking the lot and no salesman came outside. I went to ask for more information on the new sierras. The recipients took my information to have someone call me about the trucks. So i went back to the lot check out the trucks some more and still no one shows. Still No one has called me about the trucks and never offered to wait in the waiting room.
I already wrote a review per your first request stating I was more than satisfied with the care and trouble your service people did for my issue with my Encore. I am very pleased and most importantly was grateful for the loaner car issued to me at the time. Sincerely, J.W.

2022-03-02The staff were great to deal with during the entire process from ordering to delivery. Even though we were all going through the steps together for the first time, they were open and honest in their communication. I will continue to use them as my dealer of choice.

2022-03-17Sarah promptly greeted me at the dealership upon my first arrival as a new customer. From there she was quick to capture my info and interests in what I was looking for. Long story short, we quickly moved through on a deal and was able to get things finalized seamlessly. I have been to several dealerships in the Metro Detroit area over the past few months and by far the service provided was top notch especially walking through the door for the 1st time. Because of my experience I would easily recommend anyone to do business with this dealership.

2022-01-31Service department was great. Friendly and fast. The only gripe there is that they don’t offer Saturday hours still, so I have to leave work early for a simple oil change. I won’t be doing that any longer.I am most disappointed with the sales floor. While my husband and I were waiting for our oil change, we were looking at the two cars in the showroom as our lease is ending in a few months. Not one person asked if we wanted help, had any questions, or even acknowledged us. One of the salespeople was even playing solitaire on his computer. I did email and get fast assistance, but nothing in person. Either way, the new pricing is insane and I will be looking at other options for my next vehicle.

2022-06-21Josh assisted me in finding and purchasing my Terrain. EVerything was done via phone calls and went smoothly. I was able to pick up the vehicle on Saturday. There were no unexpected surprises as I have experienced with other dealerships. I also appreciate the honoring of the GM employee discount, as not all dealerships do, as I recently found out. It is one of the main reasons I also went with your dealership as I live approx 20 miles from there and have many other closer dealerships to choose from. I will gladly return to your dealership due to the quick and efficient service of Josh and Jill (financing).

2022-03-07I was in the market for a new car for a few months. After receiving a quote from another Dealership, Chase was able to match the price. I was happy to give Lunghamer my business again. The process was extremely easy as well. I sent Chase all required documents ahead of time, so after signing a few things, I was able to get into my new car quickly and effortlessly.

2022-01-26I came on time for the service and was greeted very well. It was explained to me what needs to be checked and promised to come back to me to explain what needs to be done to finalize. Which he did. Joey has been my contact person for the previous two visits by me to the dealership. I am very much satisfied and feel I can depend on him.

2022-02-23Im giving them 3 stars because the service advisor Ive dealt with has been very understanding of my issues. Their service department overall I cannot speak for because I have had my truck in not only here but several other dealerships including Lunghamer Chevy one for the same issue several times over the past few years and they never resolved it and Im still unsure after all these times if its even fixed. I still have hard shift issues and other issues that occur constantly but Ive started a Lemon Law process against GM. Let me again say that Lunghamer staff are friendly and the service writer Joe Z. has always been great to deal with. However, based on my most recent experience I dont think Id ever want to purchase another GM vehicle because their customer support is trash. This does not reflect for this dealership in general. I can say that based on how I was treated by GM customer support that they have lost a lifetime GM guy. I was loyal to the brand but they have surely lost that.

2022-03-31Great experience working with Kyle and the finance team. I found Kyle to be very responsive, honest and straightforward. He did not use any sort of high pressure tactics but persistently looked after my needs and ensured I had a positive experience.

2022-03-30Great customer service. Candice is efficient and kind. Prices are higher and that’s a turn off but they are everywhere. I would like to see more color varieties in vehicles and better discounts for repeat loyal customers
