Their equipment was not charged, so they were doing it manually which costed us double the time. Comment: A few boxes of our items went missing. Complained to management and they got defensive and said their employees wouldnt steal anything.Edit: of course they will comment. Their movers stole multiple boxes. There is no denying that. We told them about it, they said that their workers would never do so... and that was the end of that. I spoke to them over the phone even. Do not work with them. The people they have physically moving for you are ex-cons, they will share stories about how they were in jail.... I wish we had looked in the truck after everything was moved because are missing hundreds of dollars worth of stuff, including sentimental items.Edit 2: they said they would be happy to discuss it with us. We talked with them. We never were reimbursed for our stolen goods.

Comment: I had the worst moving experience with them in November 2022. To begin with, they were 4 hours late. Then their tools were not charged which caused delay in the job (I had to pay for the extra time). The crew also seemed tired and became agitated as the the time passsed, becoming rude and causing damage to the furniture and the property. They even didnt assemble the furntiure which I found out later and had to do it myself. I will not recommend them if you care for your time and money. I filed complaint with the office but didnt hear back.

Comment: They called the evening prior to my move and said that the owner had changed a company policy the day prior, and that my type of move would now require 3 movers instead of 2, which would technically cost more but since there were more guys, should take less time. Ok, I dont have a choice at this point since its the day before I have to move. I was given a 1 hour window that the movers would arrive, and they were 10 minutes late past the time window. Only 2 movers showed up (the 3rd one ended up showing up in the last 20 minutes of the entire move, it was his first day on the job and he moved like 2 boxes). The movers were nice enough but they were VERY slow. My boyfriend and I started moving stuff out to the curb to speed up the process. They chipped a couple of walls and knocked over and broke a potted plant. I sent them a list of inventory before the move and they estimated the amount of time, and I agreed with it because I had 2 movers load a uhaul for me about a year ago for my last move, same amount of stuff, and it took them a little under 2 hours. It took these guys over 3 hours to load, even with our help. Ended up costing me over $200 more than estimated. I talked to the coordinator a few days later about all of this and she said she would talk to the owner and I never heard back, its been 2 weeks.UPDATE they did follow up with me and made things right. However, we were living on the third floor in an apartment and had some heavy furniture we didnt want to deal with moving, so we did a bit of research of local businesses in the area. Make Your Move looked great on paper and after speaking with Kevin (the owner), he was confident, personable and friendly so we decided to pull the trigger.Make Your Move arrived on time within their scheduled window. The three dudes who showed up were extremely friendly and personable. As soon as they showed up, they began to assess our belongings and came up with a plan of how to move everything and started immediately. The guys were quick, efficient and fun. You can tell that this crew was no stranger to this type of work. They informed me they were going to take a lunch break before hauling our stuff to the house. Once there, the unload was quick and they asked where we wanted items to go. Nothing was damaged. Best of all, the overall price was about $300 cheaper than we initially anticipated.10/10 We most definitely will hire Make Your Move for our next move (which hopefully is no time soon). Make Your Move Folsom immediately set my mind at ease from the first contact with the estimate and scheduling of the move date. The 4 man crew that arrived bright and early on move day was professional, strategic, experienced, friendly and boy did they hustle! I had at least 5 incredibly heavy items that had to be moved from the second floor of one house to the second floor of the new house. This crew was actually jogging back up the stairs for the next items to move after each trip down the stairs. The owner, Kevin, checked in several times throughout the day to make sure I didnt have any questions or concerns. The whole thing went much more smoothly than I expected. They scheduled me very quickly and worked with all the changes that happened. There were some obstacles that came up with access to my property and the drivers couldn’t get to my house. Kevin was able to get a different truck and get the movers out the next day. He did all the footwork and made it happen. The movers were super awesome, they worked hard and fast and took care of my stuff. I’d recommend them to anyone moving and I would most definitely use them again. We spent the first few minutes to discuss the needs and what go and what stay, and then they just start working. The whole process took 6 hours but they only stop for short water break. They were very careful with all of my belonging and wrap everything up with care before loading into the truck. They were also very careful when unloading and moving stuff into the new house. Comment: I called three companies to price and schedule a move that included the company packing many of the items. I was moving a very cluttered and large 3 bedroom house and two car garage used mostly for storage. The whole thing was going into storage. I had only a limited time to move and needed to be out on a specific date. I had only found 3 companies that met my requirements in my area. I was only able to actually talk to a human being at one company, Make Your Move Folsom. I was only contacted by email by one of the other companies and never heard from the 3rd. After talking to Linda at Make Your Move I was given a rough estimate that clearly outlined, hourly rate, gas, travel time, supplies, and an estimate of how many people and how much time it would take. Comparing this with the email estimate I received from the other company, who was less clear on what the charges consisted of and was already almost double what Make Your Move was giving me, and paired with the fact that the second company never actually called me or talked to me, it was all email forms, no human contact at all, I decided on Make Your Move. I was contacted several times before the move to make sure we all understood what was being requested and what would be done. The day of the move, the men arrived and we began the process. The men were very professional, courteous, and made sure, every step of the way, that they were doing as I wanted. We finished earlier than expected, and there was not a single hitch. The cost was just about what we had estimated. My only surprise was that the men were actually contractors to the Make Your Move company, but when they explained it and that the men usually got a $125 tip, each, I gladly paid it, as they had preformed admirably and within the perimeters I had set. This is definitely who I would recommend if you are making a large move in the North Valley area of California. Thank you all for making my move as stress free on your end as possible😁

They showed up with a 26 foot truck and the ally ways in the storage area were very narrow.. It too tremendous driving skills to conquer the intricate twists and turns. He did it and no a scratch. I have never seen any person with such driving shills. The 3 man crew gabbed the items needed and then took them to the property I needed them delivered to. Each of mymoves were accomplished professionally and with little worry on my part.Each time it was a pleasure working with Kevin on the phone. He was always clear on pricing, timing and answering my questions. Kevin shows that he enjoys helping others. His employees share that hes a great boss. That says alot.My first move with them was two men moving my things from an upstairs 2 bedroom apartment to a storage unit, 10x10. Upon arriving, the men didnt think it would all fit. I said while they unloaded I would go rent another unit. They asked that I wait and let them try, to save me money. They did accomplish this feat in amazing time, every inch was used floor to ceiling!My latest move came unexpectedly and due to the virus, I could not get any donation groups to pick up my 8 furniture pieces. Make Your Move came thru to help us out last minute.What I really think is outstanding is that at the end of each move, the men call Kevin and Kevin ask me if job was done correctly, efficiency, etc. He ask if there were any problems. He confirms start and end times to calculate payment. He closes with the statement that if I need anything further, however small, just give him a call.Talk about customer service at its best!

Kevin is an absolute joy to speak with, and the movers were equally wonderful. I called for a last-minute move and they easily found a time-slot for me the next afternoon.I had researched about twenty places in search of someone who could do my move quickly and on a budget, and with the excellent pricing (and the speed of the movers!), my cost came down to far below any estimate I was quoted. For reference: this was a grueling move, transporting bookshelves and 60 boxes of heavy books from a house to an upstairs apartment on the other side of town. All done in two hours! Amazing! Comment: Review of ‘Make Your Move’ in Folsom, CALast week-end, my daughter was all ready to move the contents of her 3 bedroom house with help from the moving company, “Make Your Move” located in Folsom. About 15 minutes before they were due to arrive, Kevin, the owner, called to tell her they couldn’t come because the driver was unwilling to cross the bridge on the road to her house. Many semi-trucks had driven the road on the way to the construction of the house in question; even so, Kevin was adamant that they would not come to the house to move her belongings. He was also adamant that he would do Nothing to make this last minute cancellation right. He wouldn’t pay for a rental, he wouldn’t agree to wait on the other side of the bridge for us to cart the furniture To him. He would not compromise, or reach agreement, or make any kind of conciliatory gesture to help my daughter move. He even went so far as to talk down to her, then yell at her on the phone, then hang up on her. I heard the conversation and my daughter said absolutely nothing to merit such rude behavior. So, if you expect the moving company that you’ve hired to actually show up at your house as arranged, I suggest you look elsewhere. In my opinion this company deserves to fail, as they failed to honor their agreement and failed to make any kind of effort to ameliorate the impossible situation they left my daughter in. I wish there were negative stars. If you read the responses by Kevin to negative reviews on Google or Yelp, you can hear his anger, blaming, excuses and defensiveness. I’m expecting a response to this review and I will amend this with a description of his reaction. BTW, a number of glowing reviews here on google were written by the owner himself.

All while making sure to verify in detail everything to my satisfaction, as our items were carefully wrapped to be packed on their truck, all done with flawless execution!The second time we used their services I knew our needs were exceptionally difficult, since we then needed two, nearly 8 foot high, all-glass shelves moved down a flight of concrete stairs as well as transported to my storage unit, miles away! Miraculously they moved every piece, again meticulously ensuring to wrap each one individually with great care. The pricing for such an endeavor was beyond reasonable as we expected a hefty fee and the personable team of movers truly made the entire experience a pleasure, especially because every piece of glass made the move safely. Comment: I was planning on using a container or trailer to move my 3bd, 3ba home from Natomas out of state when I called Kevin for an estimate on labor for loading. After talking over the move and pricing, and comparing what you get with Upack and PODs (along with the inflated monthly storage fees), I decided to have Kevin and his guys (at Make Your Move) perform the complete move. The three guys that showed up treated my stuff as if it was their own. There was no dropping of the lightest box to the heaviest bookcase, couch, or gunsafe; they were just as gentle during the unloading as the loading. The guys were professional, courteous, and respectful. I though the price was reasonable as it will save me $$$ in the long run with unexpected/inflated charges from the container companies. I would recommend this company to my family and friends.

They’re affordable, professional, and most importantly care about their customer service and their employees.We moved on 8/23/2019 a very hot day in Sacramento. Willie, Carlos and Nick were incredibly fast, efficient and a pleasure to work with. I’ve never seen people work so incredibly hard and fast in such heat. I tried to help and each time I would pick something up one of them would be there to take it out of my hands and remind me that they were there to do that.I was surprised and happy at the total price. No hidden surprises or extra charges for things that any normal person would assume were included. They meticulously wrapped my refrigerator and braced it in the truck.I especially appreciated the level of concern that the owners have for their employees. They take care oftheir people and pay them more than minimum wage, which means you get people who want to do a good and take care of your belongings accordingly.

Make My Move came highlyrecommended by a friend.I cannot stress enough how good they were. Theguys called us 1/2 hr before they were to arrive with their ETA. Theywere very prompt and fast. Once we showed them what to move, theyworked like clockwork, with no wasted movement or time. We moved out of an upstairs two bedroom apartment into a downstairs three bedroom apartment. We had three movers help us, and they did a fantastic job. They were Russian - not that it matters to me - but their English was a little hard to understand. I am pointing this out because this did NOT affect my move one bit. The main gentlemen of the three communicated with me very well, was very informative, and very professional - regardless of any language barriers. They took very good care of moving our things out of the apartment, and paid special attention to things that had glass, light bulbs, etc. Its always a little uncomfortable having people you dont know in your home, but they made me feel comfortable and at ease. The owners of the company, Kevin and Scott, checked in with us to make sure things were going ok. I let them know we were super happy and impressed. If you want a professional, friendly, clean, and respectful company to move your stuff, call these guys and tell them you saw my review. You wont be disappointed. And remember - you get what you pay for. If you want a cheap company to move your stuff, you will get cheap service. This companys rates were very reasonable, especially for the quality of work we received. I would give them 10 stars if I could.

We made a deal for 2 guys and truck and the day before the move he sends me a text saying he could send an extra guy for a cost of $155.00 and vs the original cost of $125.00. I told him no only to find out when the guys showed up the next morning he sent 3 anyway. Not much I could do now because I needed to move that day or I would have sent them away. Now I have moved a few times in the last 3 yrs and always used UHaul as my moving company. They sub it out and send as many guys as you want only difference is I need to get the truck. All of my moves cost me less than $350.00 and it took no longer than 4 hrs. This company took 7 hrs with 3 guys and needed to make two trips. You never had 3 guys in my house at the same time because the third guy would sit at the truck and wait for the other two to bring things out. It was a total joke and a complete setup. I see how they operate now and I would say not to use these guys ever. The owner (this is funny) said well the bill would have been higher with only 2 guys. Ya sure if you move at the pace these 3 did. Trust me I know, this a scam job of a company and if you want to pay more call them. I will stay with UHaul and recomment their services long before I ever recommend this scam of a company.

Kevin, the owner, is professional, thoughtful, and a delight to work with. He made my move easy. Not to mention, you save a lot of money.
