Comment: High quality work delivered on time & on budget.I recently had the pleasure of working with Mastercraft Improvement for a bathroom renovation project, and I cannot express how impressed I am with their professionalism, expertise, and commitment to excellence. We had interviewed and received bids from 10+ contracting firms (as weve had less than pleasant renovation experiences in the past), and are so glad we went with Mastercraft.From the initial consultation with Laura the designer & Brian the Contractor to the final touches, the team at Mastercraft Improvement demonstrated a level of skill and dedication that surpassed my expectations. The project manager, Jeremiah, was incredibly knowledgeable and took the time to understand my vision for the bathroom. He provided valuable insights and suggestions, ensuring that the final design would not only meet my needs but also exceed them.The communication throughout the entire process was outstanding. I was kept informed about the progress, and any questions or concerns I had were addressed promptly. This level of transparency and responsiveness made the renovation journey much smoother and less stressful than other renovations weve done in the past.The craftsmanship displayed by Mastercraft Improvement is truly commendable. The attention to detail and precision in their workmanship were evident in every aspect of the project from Patrick who dropped off the trailer, to Casey who did the demo, to Aaron who did electrical & Edgar who absolutely rocked the drywall (and many other parts) and Jonathan who did all of the tile work - truly everyone was fantastic. I can not stress enough how OUTSTANDING Jonathans tile work came out & how helpful he was to guide us through making discussions about grout and color schemes. The whole team took pride in their work, and it showed in the quality of the finished product.What also sets Mastercraft Improvement apart is their commitment to timelines. The project was started & completed on schedule, and they adhered to the agreed-upon timeline & budget without compromising the quality of their work. This reliability is a testament to their professionalism and organizational skills.Throughout the renovation, the team demonstrated a high level of respect for my home. They maintained a clean and organized work environment, minimizing disruptions to my daily routine. The care they took in protecting surrounding areas from dust and debris was greatly appreciated as we have small children at home.Laura the designer also helped us find materials that were in our budget and helped guide us on what items would be worth it to splurge vs save. I would have been lost without her guidance and feedback on the design!!In conclusion, my experience with Mastercraft Improvement was nothing short of exceptional. They not only met but exceeded my expectations for a bathroom renovation. Comment: Joe and his team came in on super short notice to do a quick update and refresh on a property I was preparing to list, and not only did they come in under budget, they also finished almost 2 weeks earlier than anticipated! They knocked the job out quickly but with expertise and attention to detail and truly went above and beyond for me! The interior and exterior paint was flawless, they did asbestos abatement for me and scraped the popcorn off the ceiling to make the house look beautiful and turn-key. I will definitely be using this company again for my next big home project! Phenomenal work!

Comment: I have worked with many contractors over the years, but Joe and his company Mastercraft Home Improvement by far blew them all away - there is not even a chance for comparison. Mastercraft did a complete kitchen remodel and new flooring in my home of 21 years after a water intrusion issue – when I listed the home I had so many offers and everybody couldn’t stop talking about the kitchen and how beautiful it was. They then came to my new home and did work there as well. Every single employee of this company is a professional in his or her trade, so you don’t have Jack’s of all trades doing multiple things like other contractors do (one day tile, next day drywall and plumbing, etc.). I love this because each of them was a true artisan and took the time to make the work stand out and look phenomenal. They are super cognizant of your space and just want to make you happy. They are clean and punctual and accommodating, and you know what work will be done each day. The results are absolutely beautiful. I highly recommend Mastercraft Home Improvement and have shared them with many clients, friends and neighbors. 😍

Comment: Mastercrafthi remodeled our 22 year old kitchen and laundry room from ground up. Overall project was executed well. 4.5* would have been more appropriate but I decided to give 5* due to their skills in certain areas, responsiveness, always on time, and good communication with us.The goods are:Team was highly responsive, professionals, and very accommodating to our requests.Everyone worked hard without exception and everyone was pleasant and respectful including Brad and Spencer. We were very pleased with that.A couple of people I would like to single out.Alex the carpenter was fantastic and extremely skilled, resourceful, saved multiple situations that could have been bad without him. Thank you Alex for a phenomenal job.Our backsplash tiles were ribbon mesh type that each tile consists of at least 15 small and large pieces that need to be cut carefully and laid out properly. Johnny the tile guy did a great job, was very patient, skilled, took his time measuring and was very accurate laying out the tiles. The final backsplash product was amazing. Thank you Johnny for a job well done.Overall the final completed kitchen and laundry room were much better than what we expected. Thanks to all involved including project manager Gabe and general manager Bryan.The not so goods are:Countertop fabricator and subcontractor to Mastercrafthi did an okay job. The owner dismissed our concerns and needs, the subcontractor team was understaffed, rushed the work and did bad job calking certain sections. I would not recommend them.Drywall work and final texturing is average at best. I would recommend that Mastercrafthi hires a better skilled person for drywall work in general.Communication between management and professionals doing the work could have been better. Some errors has occurred but corrected later, not a big deal but still I would recommend that Mastercrafthi implement better procedure for proper communication between management and professionals doing the actual work.So the 4.5-5*s is well deserved. I will definitely consider Mastercrafthi for future remodeling projects and I definitely recommend them. Job well done guys. Thanks a million. Antoine

Comment: Mastercraft is an amazing company, led by folks who are invested in the work they do, and the quality they deliver. They’ve rebuilt 25% of my home and then again worked on a different house of mine in a need of a rebuild after water damage in 2022. Bryan is super patient and accommodating. Our project manager Jimmy was a no nonsense leader, who was dependable and very dedicated. The people who came into my house were respectful and very good at what they do. Frank (tile), Chuck (Carpentry/installer), Leon and Spencer (Painters) made a fantastic team to complete our home project.

We called him for a quote for our kitchen and they came out and quickly generated a professional quote. They are very organized and honest. Comment: I sent Joe a message about a leak from our shower and he was able to come over and inspect the leak within an hour. The leak needed more work to detect where it was coming from and he sent over Nick the same afternoon. Nick was able to find the leak and explain what needed to be done to fix it thoroughly and at a very reasonable price! Will definitely use them in the future!

Comment: I contacted Master Craft (via their Mold Safe number) to help with cleanup and remediation of a mold issue on a large portion of our garage floor. They were super responsive during Thanksgiving week, and both Charlie and Moe had the work scheduled within a few days. Their technician Nick was punctual, friendly and explained the process thoroughly. They scrubbed the area, removed and disposed of all the damaged material and re-sealed the garage floor with a anti-microbial paint to ensure the mold would not return. I would highly recommend Master Craft for any household work.

Comment: If I could give this company 6 stars I would. I tried fixing a leaking gasket on my garbage disposal to no avail since I was not able to reconnect the appliance to the sink. After calling 2 other plumbing outfits, I inadvertently called Mastercraft not knowing they were located far outside San Diego. Joe was extremely helpful by reassuring me he would get the problem fixed with a price that wouldnt break the bank. One hour later, in walks John, an extremely friendly, reliable, and professional gentleman who was able to fix the issue in about 20 minutes. I will definitely call Mastercraft any time a plumbing issue arises. In addition, I discovered Mastercraft specializes in bathroom and kitchen remodeling. I want to remodel my bath and will be getting together with Joe to learn how to conduct this in a very small space. Thanks again to both Joe and John

Comment: 5 stars is an understatement! A few years back my husband and an bought a older fixer upper in a great neighborhood. The retro 1970s original bathroom badly needed updating. Mastercraft took the space and made something absolutely stunning. The timeless beauty of my new spa bathroom takes my breath away. I cant stop looking at it! Joe, Charley, Bryan and the whole team were such a pleasure to have in my home. The before and after pix just blow my mind! I cant wait to have them start in my kitchen! Worth every penny.

Comment: We had waited years to remodel our kitchen. We were concerned about the expense of a remodel, the inconvenience of not having access to our kitchen during a remodel and having strangers in our home (especially during COVID). With a rising housing market buying a new home was no longer an option so we started shopping around to decide who would turn my dream kitchen into a reality. I did my research, asked friends for recommendations, even went to Lowe’s for a quote. Then Mastercraft came along. Joe and his team came highly recommended from some mutual connections and I remembered seeing their trucks driving around town. I called Joe and he came over the next morning to do some measurements and ask me about my vision for our space. He let me know that I’d have a quote within the next three days or so. Later that afternoon my quote had arrived. I was so impressed. I had asked for a quote from a competitor and it took almost 2 weeks for it to come through! After much deliberation we decided to proceed with Mastercraft. We met Janelle at the Carlsbad showroom and she assisted my husband and I with picking out cabinets, countertops and hardware. She was warm and welcoming and made the selection process easier then we could have imagined. Once construction began everyone on the Mastercraft construction team was fast and efficient they made it so our stove and microwave was connected as soon as possible to prevent disruption with our cooking. My husband is a clean freak and had even mentioned how impressed he was with how they swept and cleaned up before they would leave for the day. After a few weeks my dream kitchen was complete and I don’t think I’ll ever need to move. I would HIGHLY recommend Mastercraft Home Improvement and even use them again when we’re ready to redo our master bathroom. Don’t make the mistake of going with anyone else go with the professionals at Mastercraft that take pride in their craft and produce quality custom work.

Comment: Business operating during the pandemic, thank you Review #13:This is the second time Ive worked with MASTERCRAFT HOME IMPROVEMENT. They did such an amazing job the first time, I did not hesitate to use them again.A rental unit I own in Encinitas got flooded when the piping to the washing machine upstairs leaked so badly my (downstairs) tenant had to line up animals two-by-two. Joe Martin and his crew came to the rescue and did another bang-up job.The water-damaged drywall and baseboards look as good-as-new and the delaminated carpet was replaced with fabulous new flooring. The tenant cant stop raving about MASTERCRAFT.Thanks, Joe, for another job well done.
