My husband and I had been looking for a truck for quite awhile. We live in Brimley, Mi which is about 2-3 hr. drive away from Matt LaFontaine Dealer Ship; including crossing the Mackinaw Bridge. When we arrived to the dealership we met the Ben, one of the sales rep. He took no time in helping us and welcoming us to the dealership; to his sales desk and offering us water to drink; it was very hot out. During that time Ben was extremely helpful. We felt like we were part of a big family. Our conversation with him felt like he was a big brother that was away for college and we had not seen him for awhile. We felt very comfortable talking with him, including life in general. The whole staff were very friendly. If I could give Ben a 10* I would . Take my word, You will not be disappointed, if you are looking for a vehicle. We are extremely happy with our purchase, and would not hesitate to go back there again. THANk-YOU Ben!!!
Kerry and Ben were very helpful in facilitating the buying process of my Jeep Gladiator Rubicon. I live down state and they made the whole buying process VERY EASY!!! They’re out the door price was also lower than all the other dealers I checked with. I know where we’re buying our next new car/Jeep.
Ive been in the car business my whole life.I have a friend at probably 10 different dealerships throughout the state.None of my friends or even the last buddy I thought I was helpping by buying from him seemed interested in selling me a car. I called 4 dealerships who represent the suv of the year to maybe try something new and never even got a call back from anyone. We were 25k miles over on my lease. We always are and it usually cost me 3 to 4 thousand to get out of my lease. No worries we still would rather drive new vehicles and pay for the extra miles we are grown ups and know what we are getting into. One (friend) at my previous dealership said I should burn it. Literally 3 times he said it no joking. My loyalty to my (friend) now goneI called Matt. We got a car in literally 1/2 hour. It was running and waiting for my wife when she showed up. Stephanie her sales woman has my wife looking for gift cards to send her because she was so impressed and guess what? I didnt even get involved not one bit. I didnt have too. They beat my best price without me saying a word. I never set foot in the dealership my wife handled everything and when she got home she said she felt like royalty when she was there. Hmmm I think that is extremely hard to find these days. Im extremely impressed and think you will be too!Thank you lafontaines for making me believe that a car deal is still worth something and our business is still worth something because none of the other dealers I checked at did. Like I said those were friends too.You can trust Matt lafontaines I guarentee it!
Driving on the highway pulling a camper our tow package went out and was very hard on our transmission. Googled and called Matt LaFontaine dealership spoke with Matt in Service and he was so kind to get us in as an emergency diagnosis. When we arrived they got us in right away and found out they did not have our part in stock so they drove over an hour round trip to get the part we needed. These guys were so empathetic to our situation and got us back on the road again. Matt and Chris in the service department were very kind and professional. Also we were very impressed with all the steps taken to protect us and them from Covid 19. So very happy that we happened upon this dealership to service our needs and highly recommend them for any others that may need there service. My husband and I cannot Express how much we appreciate the way we were treated and were able to get back into our vacation plans. I was very pleased this dealership would service my 2002 184,000 mile Suburban. I am the original owner and would always prefer to have GM service it. I must say both my wife and I were very pleased with the interaction we had with all the people we associated with at the LaFontaine dealership, Matt was very accommodating, took the time to answer all of our questions, always gracious, he presented as if we were his only concern, never rushing or minimizing. Jacob and Brady were outstanding! They were very honest about the vehicles, helped me find a lot of options in my price range and went out of their way to make sure things were ready for us so we did not drive out of town needlessly! I have been car shopping for a while now, and after I had the worst experience ever with Voice Motors in Kalkaska, it was refreshing to have the exact opposite experience here! We had a great experience with purchasing our new 2020 GMC 2500HD. Brady was fantastic, he was quick at answering our question and getting the information needed to get the process started. I was treated well by everyone involved. From the first time I called to get my vehicle in to having some body work done - to the men who took my car and gave me a loaner. When I called to find out when my vehicle would be ready they were helpful and when I came in to make the exchange everyone was great. The Matt Lafontaine Automotive group went above and beyond the call of duty. They were willing to locate a vehicle well over 200 miles away from my location and procure it for me. They not only brought the vehicle back to the wild north for me, but they also delivered it right to me. 2022-02-22A Great Experience From Start to Finish! I ordered a 2022 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon and recently took delivery. I think Adam, the salesperson, was almost as excited as I was when it arrived. Both my wife and I were so impressed with the experience, the staff, and the Jeep itself, that we leased a 2022 Jeep Gladiator for her. I wasnt sure we could afford it, but Adam figured out a way it could fit into our budget. This has been, by far, the best dealership experience either of us has ever had. The photo shows our new Jeeps and my 1999 Wrangler that I bought new 23 years ago and has been my daily driver until now.

2021-08-10While camping at South Higgins Lake State Park, our Jeep Grand Cherokee needed immediate service to the brake system. Arrangements were made for the vehicle to be towed to MLCDJR in Grayling. Tabitha Decker (Service Advisor) and Jim Decker (Fixed Operations Director) did an exceptional job of working our vehicle into their already full service schedule and kept us informed on when the repairs would be completed. 2020-07-16I was looking for an Equinox from my local dealership downstate. Went up north for the holiday and had car issues and needed a new vehicle immediately. Jacob from LaFontaine returned my call and text of questions immediately he was very knowledgeable and helpful. He made the car buying experience easier and fun.
