Comment: Buying a near new used car should not be so exhausting!Be mindful if you shop for a car here, as they are all the scary things you hear about when entering a dealership.They lean on KBB for allegedly pricing their vehicles but when we were presented with their print-out justifying their price it was weighted so heavily in their favor it was sickening and insulting.They arbitrarily added nearly a thousand bucks for a GPS system we didnt ask for, want and frankly, dont need!The F&I was nice but he tried to scare us into his extended warranty. We declined. He circled back and we again declined. On his third attempt, after a ream of other paperwork was signed, he showed us his cost and offered the warranty to us at a small amount over his cost . I gotta tell you rapport is easily destroyed when the original asking price is so inflated!It took us seven hours to get the damn car and we ended up paying nearly three thousand over our budget.

Comment: This five-star rating is due to one person in particular, Danny! This was an extremely painful cost and repair that I had to go through. It is what it is and it had to be done. As painful as it was Danny was there to help me through the entire process. Yes they were some bumps and issues with the repairs, but because of Dannys spectacular level of customer service, I was more willing to overlook those. I will absolutely trust them again as long as Danny is still working there! Bravo Danny for your hard work, your great communication and most of all your empathy and understanding.

Comment: When I arrived, Eric was my salesperson helping me. Eric was very patient and answered all of my questions and concerns. He was also easy to talk to, like a mutual friend. No salesperson panache or long-winded upselling. But still able to provide any detailed information that I needed, and professional.The dealership itself was great. IDK if all Mazda dealerships are like this but its a very easy and relaxed experience. No pressure. And no bogus fees to haggle with. I really appreciate that.

Comment: I had my family go look for a car today because we wanted to buy one asap. No one greeted or assisted them even though they were close by. Eventually, a salesman came by but he locked the car that they were looking at. Why?… He also told them that they can’t test drive today because they are busy. Isn’t the purpose of a car salesman is to make the sale? I’ve had multiple experiences with buying cars from many different dealerships and have gone with a lot of friends and family, and I’ve never heard or seen a car salesman do this. Ended up going to Mazda in Roseville and they got the best service with a test drive…. Elk Grove must be making a lot of sales to not care.

Comment: They are very eager to make a sale yet after a sale is made and an issue arise, it will be hard for you to find someone who will be eager to help you out. I had an issue with my registration which was part of their service. As soon as I found out, I immediately informed them of what the issue was. It could have been corrected immediately but they resorted to promising me that they will get it fixed or have someone fix it and that they will call me back but they never did. I had to be the one taking the lead but each time I manage I get a hold of someone from the dealership to remind them about the issue, they promise to call back but they never do. Forward over a year after the sale and after many follow ups from me, they say that they are not at fault and I have to fix it myself! Not even an apology from them, not once!I will continue to discourage folks I know to avoid this dealership.

Comment: In general, my experience at the dealership was smooth and positive. The salesperson and used car manager were excellent. However, Im giving three stars instead of five due to post-sale communication issues. The dealership didnt provide paper plates for my car, gave it to me with low fuel, and failed to initiate the paperwork for my license plates, resulting in me having to handle it myself. Despite spending over 65k on a 2021 Dodge Challenger Hellcat, the paperwork processing was lacking. I frequently had to follow up with calls, often being told the manager would call back, which rarely happened. In short, theyre easy to buy from and offer good deals, but its crucial to ensure all paperwork and details are sorted out before leaving, as post-sale support may be lacking. And yes, its surprising, but make sure they put paper plates on your vehicle.

Comment: I purchased a car at Elk Grove Mazda, and although initially the experience seemed quite positive, it winded up feeling forced and stressful. Even though I repeatedly told the salesman I did not wish to use my current car as a trade in as I had an offer from Carmax that I planned to use, he kept saying that he just wanted to have a look at it. As I am a senior and disabled, I became tired and told him we needed to go eat. He knew Id return as hed managed to get me to let him have my keys. He then showed an offer for my car. I was unnerved by his blatantly going against my clearly stated wishes and low offer for my car and went to eat. By then I was so tired and getting sick, so told my friend I wouldnt take the offer and wished to get my car and leave. After returning to the dealership to get my car, I told him the offer was too low, and he proceeded to bargain the price. He then excused himself for a moment and was gone for an hour, and I started to cry because I was running a fever and wanted to go home. Long story short, I ended up purchasing a car I didnt want and selling my car for $1,500 less than I was offered by Carmax. I was too tired and too sick to negotiate even though I wanted to go home more than anything. There are more details, too numerous to mention. However, Im sure he was quite proud he was able to get my car for less than its value. I thought he was so nice early on, and now I have a hard time going there for information without feeling angry. I have bought 12 new cars in my life, and this was my worst experience ever. I do think seniors are often taken advantage of.

Comment: This review is concerning the service department. My daughter took her CX-30 turbo in for the complimentary first service at 6 months back in July which mostly amounts to an oil change. Looking at her invoice it noted the wrong oil being used, 0w-20 vs. the correct 5w-30 for the turbo motor. Looking at the dipstick, I see the oil filled substantially over the top fill mark. I called the service rep and explained the irregularities, and she tried to assure me it was done correctly and just noted wrong and that the dipsticks can have variances. Still being concerned, she agreed to redo the oil change. It was supposedly redone, but the dipstick still showed the same substantial overage. At that point, I chalked it up to a wonky dipstick.Fast forward to last week when I did the second oil change myself. I could see that more than the required 5.1 quarts drained out, ultimately measuring a total of 5.9 quarts not counting the oil absorbed by the filter. Virtually a full quart over! After refilling it with the proper 5.1 quarts, running and letting it sit, I checked the dipstick and the level was just exactly where it was supposed to be. It’s obvious the service department never re-did the oil change, let her sit in the waiting room for over an hour and just parked the car for a while in back, then eventually just gave it back to her still overfilled with possibly the wrong oil. What a crock! You certainly lost her as a costumer with this stunt.Additional (2/6/24): Mr. Shields, Im not sure how you would have been able to contact me considering its my daughters car and all of the contact information would be in her name. She has no record of you trying to contact her. I attempted to call you on 2/1 based on your reply here, but got only voice mail which you havent responded to. In the end it really doesnt matter if we talk or not. If I give you guys the benefit of the doubt that you really did redo the oil change, I would have to then conclude that it was done wrong for a second time as it was overfilled by a quart just like the first time based on the dipstick level. Still not a ringing endorsement for the service department.

Comment: Let me start by saying I’m a first time buyer, I contacted the dealership about a used cx-5. I was then reached out to by a salesman, we talked about what purchasing the car would entail. Over the course of the week we came to an agreement and I filled out an application. I was told the car would have a sold sign on it and the only thing I needed to do was come in and sign the papers, I even changed my insurance over for this car. The night before my appointment, the salesman informed me somebody sold the car out from under me. I went in the next day anyway to see if we could find another vehicle within my budget given my credit had been ran I felt there was no other option. During our visit while the salesman I had been in contact with stepped away to grab some paper work, we were approached by a different man asking us to sit down with him. We declined because we already had someone helping us. We go sit with the original salesman and talk about pricing, there wasn’t any other car there in my budget so he walked away to grab my keys for my car which I was going to trade in. We were approached again by that same man from earlier, who called the salesman who had been helping me “aggressive” which he was not. We turned him down again. Stating that we actually liked the salesman I had been working with. I don’t know what kind of office politics/drama was happening but it was completely unprofessional and awkward. I’m sorry to the salesman who had been helping me, he was very kind and tried to help me but the dealership overall was terrible. Stealings sales/clients from each other is ridiculous. My credit was ran with nothing to show. Incredibly discouraging and frustrating. Find a different dealership if you’re looking for a car.

Comment: Ive been a dedicated patron at Nissan/Mazda of Elk Grove for over a decade, having purchased my vehicle from Mazda of Elk Grove a few years back. Despite the initially excellent service, there has been a noticeable deterioration in quality in recent years. My attempt to schedule an appointment before the holidays on December 23, 2023, turned into a vexing experience. The person in charge of appointment scheduling was uninformed and displayed rudeness. Despite the receptionists endeavors to reroute my call to the scheduling department, these attempts proved futile. After enduring a 20-minute wait, my call was eventually forwarded to a disconnected number, resulting in a complete waste of my time. Ive driven from another city specifically for the service in the past few years. However, following this unpleasant incident, Ive decided not to return and strongly discourage others from considering this dealership. My disappointment is directed towards John and his team. The only reason Im giving two stars instead of one is because the receptionist was very helpful, despite her frustrations in being unable to transfer the call due to continuous redirections by the scheduling department.

Since I made an inquiry online, Antonio Casillas sent detailed pictures and detailed videos of every car I was interested in and continued to keep me updated on every car they had in stock went on multiple test drives and had a couple small issues with financing,on my side not theirs but the dealership staff, were always friendly, respectful and responsive. I was never pressured into any other services and was always told other available options. And when the time came to sign financing papers David Bayón made it a breeze. Every single document was throughly explained before it was signed. And that entire section took only 30 minutes. Now I have a beautiful platinum grey metallic brand spanking new Mazda three thanks to Antonio and David. Anyone who needs a great car should stop by Elk Grove Mazda and get the deal on a deal if a car.

Comment: In my experience there it was extremely disorganized company. I left there with SIX HARD INQUIRES on my credit for one car! This was after they assured me the first time that they had the right lender, but then go on to try five others at my expense!! How does that happen exactly unless you have no idea what you’re doing?Not to mention I had to go back there three times after my first “closing” visit because they forgot to have me sign paperwork. For their reviews I expected better but had the most unorganized team I’ve ever worked with. I will say that me vehicle was top notch at a great price but you can definitely get that elsewhere without a bad team and 5 hard credit pulls.

Jarell got me a quote within an hour of contacting him and held the vehicle for me since I was driving up from Santa Rosa.Before working with Mazada of Elk Grove, I was working with Sacramento Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram on Fulton and they were shady, took 36 hours to get me a realistic quote and slapped on $4000 of extra charges for useless addons like nitrogen filled tires. So I was a little worried about making the 2 hour drive to Elk Grove, but everything was smooth. Jarell met us at the door and got us in the car within 5 minutes of arriving. The price I was emailed was the final price and everything went smooth. 5/5 would buy a car here again

This is even before the vehicle is manufactured in a plant and sent to their location. There is no option to remove the package when emailing their employee. They claim it protects the vehicle and helps it keep its value, however, i as a consumer should be allowed whether I want it added or not. I dont see why a dealership has to make that decision for me. Its just corporate talk to add more fees on. So much for no markups on the vehicle! Comment: BUYER BEWARE*In all fairness id like to say the Salesmen Cyole and Eric were great and very accommodating with showing my parents vehicles and giving them different options to look at.I will copy and paste the email I sent the owner on my experience at the dealer. Hopefully this can raise some awareness of what you may encounter at the dealer and take the proper precautions to make sure you dont become a victim of fraudulent practices by Hesam Ghaffari.The main reason for this email is because Id like to bring to your attention the questionable business practices from Hesam Ghaffari. We went through all our finance options with Eric, ultimately we chose to do the 60 months at 2.90%apr financed through Mazda, which would leave the payments for my parents around $547. Eric then directed us to Hesam to finalize the transaction. Just to clarify, the car purchase was for my parents and I was there to assist with choosing out the car and overseeing the transaction so everything could go smoothly as English is their second language. When transferred to the finance department, Hesam presented the usual DMV paperwork, and title transfer paperwork which my parents signed. He then presented them with other paperwork regarding the insurances, he said This paper is for your tire insurance, if anything goes wrong just call this number and theyll take care of it my parents signed that paper, he also had the same approach with vehicle services that covered the oil changes and I believe another for windshield coverage which my parents also signed. At this point, I asked Hesam Do these things come included with the car price? He replied yes they are included. So I was a bit astonished that all these things came included for the same price. When the final contract was up to be signed he did something I had never seen before, he purposely skipped the lines in the contract that would have shown that all the things included in the car price were actually optional add ons with a final price of over $5,000, he also somehow managed to maintain the monthly payment of the car the same ($547) to match Erics monthly quote but had actually extended the loan term to 72 months at 2.99 apr with a 3rd party lender I had never heard of. The lender was not Mazda and when I confronted Hesam about these charges and that he should remove them because thats not what we originally agreed to, He mentioned these coverages are required by the lender so that they can approve the loan for you, its kind of like a mortgage.I knew this was false and frankly I found it completely disrespectful to lie to a customers face like that. It appalled me to see him skip over and hinder this information and go straight to the signing of the contract.I asked him again to remove the extra optional charges, and to give us the 60 month financing through Mazda at 2.90% apr like we had agreed with Eric. He seemed hesitant to do it and tried to convince me otherwise, yet again, but I insisted for the 3rd time and finally he obliged. After that, the transaction went smoothly as it should have gone the first time.The owner John and director of operations Robert reached out to me and let me know that they had a conversation with the manager and Hesam Ghaffari to make sure this doesnt happen again. Whether or not these practices continue I will not know but my goal is to save a family from being a victim of these predatory practices by Hesam.

We just bought our CX-9 from Garrett who gave us a great deal and followed usual covid guidelines. The first car we purchased was with their sister store, Nissan of Elk Grove. Loved our experience, so when it was time to buy something else, I went straight there. Luis assured me that he would get it ready for me, but was unsure about when it would be available. I told him thats okay, to contact me when it would be ready. He texted me that night and said it was ready after all, just needed a detail. I told him that I would be there to take a look the next day.I drove 50 minutes from my house, and the car is not ready. Luis was busy with other customer, and Ethan took over. Ethan took me in a test drive in a dirty car, did not tell me anything about the car, did not sell me the car. He sat in the back while my girlfriend and I talked about the car. I left disappointed about my experience, but decided that I really liked the car and would like to try a 2020 CX-5. I applied online, text Luis about my decision. The next day, I didnt get a call back or a follow up. I ended up calling the dealership to see if I could have someone help me with my purchase.Ethan helped, he showed me a 2020 Mazda CX-5. We worked the numbers out, I told them that I needed to think about it ( because I was distrustful) and Ethan appeared agitated. I went ahead and looked at other cars. A dealership stated that they could beat their offer, and they did. I told Ethan this and he said he was unable to do more for me. And that he was disappointed because he took off time from his medical procedures to help me out (lol). I told him that they do not have the color that I wanted and I would think about.After thinking, I said yes I would buy the car from Ethan. I texted him. Made an appointment for 3 the next day. At 1 pm, Ethan texts me and says the deal is off and they could not help me. I have NEVER had a dealership tell me a deal is off after confirming or refusing a sale. Extremely weird practices. Deals our a dime a dozen, I do not have to buy from any dealership and obviously they dont need my money!I ended up buying the car anyway, yes I was really trying to work with them. I believe in them. I realized after buying the car, that no one showed me how work my vehicle. I did not know how to turn on my lights. I watched a youtube video to learn how to sync my car with my phone and all the basic features. Very ridiculous. I will say that management has been super responsive, and attempting to make it better by having me come in to explain my car. I will probably not buy from Mazda of EG again. Comment: I have an unresolved issue regarding my vehicle that I purchased from this dealership in 2015. All four of the door lock actuators have failed and have been replaced over the past five years, one has been replaced twice. My car alarm goes off randomly due to this issue. I have brought my vehicle to this dealership every time and the problem has never been properly resolved even when my car was covered under their platinum service coverage contract which is their best warranty plan.This year (2020), I have been to the dealership three times for this problem. Once in April, again in June for the same actuator that was replaced in April, and again in July for an actuator that was replaced in 2015. There must be a bigger problem with the vehicle that has not been addressed causing the actuators to fail so often.I have spoken to the service managers (new and old), the owner of the dealership, and reached out to the Mazda Customer Experience Center. Instead of resolving the issue, I have been told that this is normal behavior from any vehicle and that I will have to pay for all future diagnostics and replacements of any other failing door lock actuators (this is not cheap).This is an issue that should have been fixed when I first brought my vehicle in for this concern less than six months after purchasing from the dealership. I am unsatisfied with the service I have received especially considering that my platinum service coverage contract was practically useless and am still dealing with this issue five years later.I do not recommend purchasing from this dealership as I have not received the excellent service they pride themselves on.

Dealership took a $500 deposit to hold the car while I reviewed my monthly budgeting. Called dealership promptly to let them know I was not in the position to purchase brand new at this time and to refund my credit card. Was told ok. Was sent another offer, thanked them, but cost was still too high for me. Again asked them to refund my credit card. Since Garrett already had me fall in love with a Mazda 3 2019 Sedan Preferred, it made the process with Gerlie extremely easy to dive in and discuss numbers. Garrett greeted me, I told him what I was interested in, and went on a test drive. He really look the time to go over all the cars features and even though it was well past closing by the time we got around to the paperwork, he never made me feel rushed. The dealership made me a fair offer on my trade, and after discussing the pros and cons of different trims, I made my purchase. Comment: After our 5 year old Mazda 6 GT reached its last payment, my wife and I decided to get another sedan for her commute to work, while Id keep the 2014 Mazda 6 GT for my work (I know, right!?)... We did browse around until we got to Mazda of Elk Grove, the new 2019 Mazda 6 Signsture was standing there staring at us like, Whats up!?, and it was like falling in love all over again with the Mazda 6! That In your face grill, that smooth body from the front all the way to the back, that so-much-upgraded-luxurious-interior with countless features-some of which youd have to spend around $15, 20k more to get from a luxury brand, that torque when we test drove, the acceleration, the handling...all together they gave us such an overwhelming good feeling about the car! And we finally took home our brand new loving 2019 soul red Signature Mazda 6!To top up that great experience on finding and getting our new family sedan, we were greatly treated by one of the best car salesmen weve dealed with, Garret Oxnaes! He did such a great work showing us all the new exciting features of the car. Theres something else worth noticed, is that the actual Mazda of Elk Grove campus has been going under renovation for quite a while now. So they couldnt really have a lot of car products parked around near where the customers are. Garret had to go to their other lots to take over the cars for us to check out, which each trip took him like 15-20 mins to go back and forth trying to bring out the cars for us- which he did not mind at all, even though it was getting late and he was pretty much the last salesman at the place when everybody else has left! We did have to ask him to bring over 3 different Mazda 6s for us to compare and decide: Signature with white interior, GT Reserve, and Signature with dark brown interior, which we ended up getting. (The white colored interior looks absolutely gorgeous, but with our little kids, we know it wouldnt stay that gorgeous for so long with their playful hands and feet)! Thanks to Garrets professional, tireless, conscientious way of doing his job, we had one of the best experiences in buying our cars! Way to go, Garret!! Great customer orienred people work here at Mazda of Elk Grove, some of those in Service department whom Ive known and been nicely treated even before purchasing our car here! Comment: Mazda cars have poor transmission system and this dealership has terrible customer service. My transmission broke down within extended powertrain warranty, but the the dealership declined claim due to lack of maintenance records. What does oil change record have to do with the transmission?! They recommend to replace parts that no longer needed any repair or maintenance work... a means of haggling more money! See pictures for terrible transmission replacement job... I barely got home from the dealership to see a huge fluid leak underneath. They didn’t even connect the hose correctly. Stay away from Mazda cars and this dealership.

Garrett suggested and arranged an extended test drive, where I had the chance to get a feel for the car at my own pace without the distraction of a salesperson in my ear. I did a huge amount of research on the CX-5 Signature, and the salespeople were knowledgeable and honest about their product. They are a high volume dealer and quickly matched the best offer I presented them with. After agreeing to the sale, I was offered the typical dealer offered accessories and options, they again presented knowledgeably and professionally. I was very surprised each time whenever I politely declined an option, because most dealers I have worked with in the past would add significant pressure to up-sell me at that point. I had done a ton of research and knew exactly what I wanted so when I found a great deal online at Mazda EG I called and spoke to Matt. From the beginning he seemed honest and knowledgeable but most importantly he seemed dedicated to finding me a great deal. We communicated and negotiated everything via phone, text, and email which honestly was great for me. Matt was the primary person I dealt with but since he wasn’t working on the only day I could come in, he arranged everything and then Nick (who was also great to work with) helped us sign the paperwork and get on our way.The only hiccup was getting my GAP insurance refund. I would just say to other customers - GAP Insurance is optional. Dont let anyone make it seem like its not... After I brought my issue to the attention of members outside of the finance department, the issue was resolved promptly and I received assurance that my refund check was indeed actually (and finally) on its way.Other than that I had a great experience and would highly recommend this dealership!

Comment: I am not willing to travel 5 hours for just anybody... and Garretts exemplary customer service was worth it. I am a previous Mazda3 owner, residing in San Francisco. I was undecided what to do at the end of my lease...so I began weighing my options. I went directly to Elk Groves Mazda site (because my car was previously sent by this dealership to a dealership I was dealing with the 3.5 years ago) and I figured this dealer had the largest inventory (which is true) and reasonable pricing. Once on the site, I asked for a price quote and that is how I met Garrett. He instantly made me feel comfortable that he would work to get me the best deal and no pressure sales. He explained the pros and cons of keeping my current car, and educated me on the differences and upgrades in the newer models. A couple calls later, it made more sense to get a new car. Now the question resided, did I really want to go all the way to Elk Grove to get it?? As any good and informed buyer would do, I decided to compare cars at a dealership closer to my residence. In the negotiation process, Garrett stood by as a trusted adviser and asked me if the deal they were making was apples to apples with what he was offering in my car package... and it wasnt! Of course that dealership got hungry and began matching what Garrett offered initially... it would have been a no-brainer to just get that car and call it a day... but it wasnt! Garretts attention and work to form the deal could not be undercut... I felt loyalty to give him the deal. Trust me, I do not use that word lightly... but he earned it and deserved it. I am also a very meticulous person and everything had to be just right. Garrett made arrangements to have a baby sitter so I could take my time deciding on the color choices (which was not easy) and let me take test drives in both colors, took my photos etc. haha to help me make sure I picked the right color for me. At the end, I went with the last Soul Red Metallic! Garrett paired all my devices and navigation while Fritz handled the paperwork in a seamless and fun way. A couple hours later, I was out the door in my brand new car and traded-in my old one. I couldnt be happier with my decision and dealing with such a top notch dealer group. They understood my high demands, uncertainties and delivered. I love my car and feel good about my purchase. As if that wasnt enough, Garret made himself available for those remaining questions that happen as you get familiar with the car... the transaction doesnt end once you leave the door. Unfortunately, we were incorrectly told that an additional feature (Apple Car Play) was going to be a free upgrade when the software was created. However, when I called to ask about having the Car Play installed, I was told that the feature was an additional (costly) charge.I was very upset, as this was a huge reason that we purchased the Mazda. However, I was able to speak with one of the managers, Julian. He looked over my past visits for service and noticed that the last person that assisted me was Chris. I was transferred over to Chis right away. The customer service I received from Chris was top of the line and made sure that I was well taken cared of by getting loaner and had me on my way in no time. He made sure to keep me up-to-date with my car, provided options on what needed to be done and addressed all of my questions and concerns. The car that I initially went in for I did not qualify for. But they were able to find me a car same make and year with 50k miles less that I did qualify for. Most dealerships ask you what you can afford then come back with a note $100 higher then that. But not the folks here at Mazda Elk Grove my payment was $50 less.. All that I can say is that Deanna and Garrett are nothing short of amazing. Deanna went to bat for me when looking for a financer. I had already signed my paperwork and took the car home. I recieved a call from Deanna the next day saying she found a better lender and my interest rate was dropped by more than half. I have never had to take my car to a service center before for anything major and had never experienced any problems with my vehicle. Billy was very patient and took the time to explain EVERYTHING to me and even pulled up pictures so I would get an idea of what was done. He also made sure to call and give me updates on what was going on and assured me that the mechanics would find out what was wrong which made me feel at ease. We have excellent credit and i csn get a lower rate elsewhere so this was not for me. They were unwilling to help. Comment: Im a little bit disappointed in this Mazda of Elk Grove. I had an accident and my car, which was a Mazda 6, was totaled. I had to go get another one. I was really pressured at the here when I went to look at another Mazda and of course I had just had an accident I need another car and I allowed myself to be pressured. Im not happy with the car I bought. I wish I would have done were shopping around, since this is located in an area with a lot of other cars. This Mazda 6 is not the same quality as my previous Mazda 6, so it doesnt have the same types of things like a Boze radio or a sunroof. However the sales person was so pushy and I guess Im just a pushover. So if you go here you need to be a little bit careful. I wish I could have taken the car back but obviously its way too late and I cant. So Ill hang on to it for now and put up with it. And then look for something else, probably not a Mazda again even though I do like Mazdas. Again just be cautious here. I guess maybe a lot of car dealers might be this way but this was just too much. Even when I said well let me think about it -- it was push push push push push. Yeah be careful here.

Comment: Usually I dont post negative reviews, in fact, I dont think Ive ever posted one, but I actually cant believe this.About a month ago, myself and Steven Daniel Melbourn-Diaz went to Mazda of Elk Grove to take advantage of the free car wash that they include with the purchase of your vehicle (I bought a 2017 Mazda 3 from them)I only traveled down there so that I could clean my wheels, as they had brake dust on them and were looking less than fresh.After going through the wash I got out and checked my car out, and my wheels were still filthy, so I figured Hey, why not go through again, this time Ill pay to upgrade to the deluxe which specifically states it cleans the wheels. So I went through again, this time paying for the deluxe.While waiting for the wash to start, we noticed the light never went off to signal that the Wheel Cleaning portion was activated.I walked into the office and advised the manager that their car wash wasnt working as expected, and he told me to go through again and that he would authorize the wash to be upgraded for free when we came through again. That didnt happen. At this point Ive been there for almost 45 minutes trying to get my wheels cleaned, and so I walked back in and said hey, it didnt work. I asked if they could just manually clean my wheels, for the trouble, and he said no. He offered me a free car wash upon returning in the future, which I declined, because that didnt make any sense to me at all.I walked over to the service department, adjacent to the car wash area, and told one of the service reps what was going on, and he said Ill take your car around back, and well take a brush to the wheels. I said that would be perfectly okay. He comes back, and my wheels arent even clean. It looked like someone haphazardly brushed them and walked off.Needless to say, I left pissed. Fast forward to today, I go to get my oil changed. I brought my mom along with me, because I wanted the company and because it would be nice to get out of the house with her, even if its to run an errand.We get there, and I walk up the counter, and the car wash guy, is now part of the service department, and is the guy taking care of us. Oh no, I thought.He asks if Im there for a service, I tell him yes an oil change, he asks if I want a tire rotation, I said if its included in the free service, (which it is, all of their services include a free tire rotation) and then he tells me it will be 90 minutes total, that theyre going to change my oil, rotate my tires, and wash and vacuum my car. I was pumped because hey, I like my car to be clean and its been a while. ETA was 1:15pm.Fast forward to 1:15, were ready to go. I go pop in and check on my car, and he says oh itll be ready in a minute.15 minutes later, its not ready. I go check again and he says oh dont worry itll be around shortly they have a backlog in the car wash area, so it wont be long. Then he leaves for the day, or lunch, or whatever and says bye to me. I said, okay, no problem.Another 15-20 minutes later Im annoyed, at this point its been over half an hour over the 90 minutes I was quoted, and my mother has to eat.. (shes a diabetic) I advised the service rep that was there that I would like for him to get my car and if they were in the middle of cleaning it to just have them rinse it off and bring my car around. I had to go.I thank him for doing so, and I sign out with the cashier and go to get in my car.My car is dirty. As in....dirtier, than before I brought it in. It looks like someone slung mud on it or something.All of that being said, Ill never go back to Elk Grove Mazda again, and they have for sure lost my business in the future.Get rid of Ruben, and give Kyle some recognition because he seems to be the only one in that department that knows what hes doing.

Comment: My wife Rachel and I went through the car buying process a week ago after her car was totaled in a parked car accident and Mazda of Elk Grove was extremely helpful in finding our new car. We already had an idea we were going to like the Mazda as my mother owns an old CX-7 and my sister has the 3, so we looked for a family car with the CX-5 and had Elias take us around in a 2016 and 2017. He was upfront and forthcoming with everything, in fact, tried to save us a couple bucks by talking to us about how the 2016 was virtually unchanged in 2017 in terms of the performance of the car itself. However, we knew the little things about the 2017 made it the right car for us. Being in Stockton, its a bit of a trek to Elk Grove and to the various other Mazda dealerships around the Valley and Bay Area, all of them were friendly to us (must be a Mazda thing), but we kept coming back to Elias knowledge and ease of finding us the right match. He wasnt pushy (unlike the Toyota guy who tried getting us in the inferior Rav 4 that night) but understood we were shopping around, but in our minds we knew what we wanted. We agreed on a price, which was close to a price another dealership offered and were ok with paying the extra because of Elias service and patience with us. It was the first time my wife had ever bought a new car so it was new to her, and for me, itd been 10-years since I had been through the process, and he made it easy, even texting with me on his own off days because of my schedule being so hectic. We made an appointment and bought the 2017 Mazda CX-5. He had a small problem worked on at the service department and was ready for a drive when we got there from Stockton. After the purchase they were very thorough with looking the car over and noticed a chip on the hood in the paint, which they said theyd fix another time no charge to us. Car buying can be a hectic thing, and stressful, combined with your everyday life too, it can be a huge pain, but Elias and Mazda of Elk Grove made it as painless, and actually fun, as possible. Consumer Reports raves about these cars and so do I. My mothers CX-7 was my favorite car Ive ever driven until I stepped into my new red, 2017 CX-5 and I knew I found the right car for us. Id do business with the dealership again and if I ever wanted another Mazda, Elias will be getting a call.

Comment: Well, had my second maintenance appointment on my 2016 CX3. First I love the car, second the service staff is so friendly and accommodating. I walked in and Billy greets me with a smile and a hello. He took my information and let me know that it would be about 90 minutes and that I was more than welcome to sit in the waiting area. The waiting area is very tidy and comfortable. I had also asked Billy how I could change my last name on my account with Mazda and get personally took me over to the Finance person and asked him what was the best route for me. It was very nice of him to break away from his area to take me over there. As I drove away from my service a light and alert sound went off in my car. I turned around and drove back to the service area and Billy saw me drive up and immediately was coming outside. He explained to me what the alert was about and I was comfortable with everything and drove away happy.I have been very happy with the service department at Mazda of Elk Grove. It makes it so much nicer to sit there and wait for the car because you know that you are treated well and you arent considered just another car coming in for an oil change. Im so happy that we stopped at Mazda of Elk Grove!We showed up without an appointment but were promptly greeted by Elias, who was eager to help us without being pushy. He was everything I had hoped for in a car salesman, and having visited a few dealerships for a few different brands, I got to experience some less than stellar examples. This is exactly what made us come back to Elias - he could easily answer my questions about the car, he gladly took me on not one, not two, but three test drives, he made sure he showed me every feature I needed, and was overall a pleasure to work with. Before I had made up my mind and while still doing other make/model test drives, he let me walk off the lot with a quote, he messaged me to check how the other test drives had gone, and promptly returned any text message that I sent him. There was just the right amount of contact - not overbearing like some other dealerships, but while still keeping in touch to answer questions. It all just seemed so easy, which is the best kind of customer service.Im also very pleased with the dealership as a whole and the other staff that I interacted with during my visits. Everyone was friendly. No one pressured me. No one tried to hard-sell me. They only offered me more reasons to buy from them (like free car washes for the life of the car, and no extended warranty hard sells because the dealership honors a complimentary 10yr/100k extended limited warranty).The only time Elias tried to upsell me was on a paint protection plan of some sort, but he showed me both the deal we had agreed on and the deal including the protection plan, and took the other one away without argument when I said I wasnt interested in it. Im not going to blame a salesman for trying to sell, and Im glad he wasnt pushy about it at all. It made it so much nicer to work with him. He was upfront and honest about everything during the whole process. The price of the car was lower than anything Id seen online on Edmunds, TrueCar, Costco, and more. I didnt even feel the need to haggle as it was a great deal all around. He also helped me snag a loyalty discount thanks to my moms Miata. Sweet!We had a tiny mixup when I asked him about who to make the down payment out to, he thought I was asking about my financing payments. A quick trip to the bank to re-do my cashiers check before my appointment to pick up the car and we were back on track. Other than this small detail, my car buying experience with Elias at Mazda of Elk Grove was absolutely top-notch. I wouldnt hesitate to buy another car from him in the future and I will gladly refer friends and family to him. A big thanks to him from this new owner!

I made contact with the dealer. Garrett was great at communicating with me via email and text as they were my preferred method due to my work. After a few days of negotiating, I went for it. We enjoyed being able to just talk with him. He was very friendly, yet professional. We really feel he did his best to get us a great buy, and were extremely happy with our new Mazda CX-5. Comment: Sometime around March my boyfriend had gotten his new Chevy tinted at the Chevy dealership and I made him promise me that if it was done in a decent time we had to go check out the Mazda dealership. We didnt get around to the mazda dealership until 7pm. Even though it was getting late Garrett was more than willing to talk to me about the car I wanted and he had given me a lot of helpful information on financing versus leasing and about Mazda 3s versus Mazda 6s. What I liked most about the dealership was how Garrett didnt act like a sales person. He talked to me like a normal person and understood that I had a budget. He also understood that I wasnt quite ready to buy a new car just yet. After my visit I looked at other Mazda dealerships to see what they had to offer and I disliked all the other dealerships because they treated me like used cars salesmen do. While the other Mazda dealerships called me almost daily trying to get me to buy something I wasnt sure I could afford, Garrett checked in appropriately and never once made me feel uncomfortable or like I didnt have a choice. Anthony Triggs took my call. As a GM, he went above and beyond. Where others passed me off to sales associates, Anthony found me the exact car I wanted; he worked with me on a price we both felt was fair; and he was honest during the entire process where others werent.At Maita, they refused to even call over to another dealership to locate the vehicle Anthony found for me - arguing that it didnt exist in inventory and wasnt worth their time to make a call for a vehicle they knew didnt exist.When Anthony found the vehicle, he sat on the phone with me, calling to reach the other dealership, for an hour while their phones were down because he knew that was the car I wanted. He didnt try to sell me another car - he worked his ass off to get me the car I wanted. All as the GM during Memorial Day Weekend - the biggest weekend of the year. Finally, when he had arranged the trade, he had a driver pick up the car and have it to me first thing in the morning the next day.Everyone at Elk Grove Mazda was warm, they werent pushy, and I felt I received prompt and outstanding service, despite a weekend so busy there werent even parking spaces. I felt like I was in control, which is ultimately how it should be when making a major purchase decision such as this. After Matt and I went over my options, we test drove and I took a of couple days to make my decision. I did have some questions after I left the dealership and was able to contact Matt on his cell phone for clarification; he went above and beyond in my opinion since I called him after hours. When I went back in to complete my final paperwork, Matt was very thorough in his explanations and answered any additional questions I had. From there I moved on to Financing and worked with Steve Wray. Steve was very informative and explained everything in detail. If I didnt understand, he took the time to explain again in a way that made me understand. The process was quite painless in my opinion. Overall, I had an amazing experience at Mazda of Elk Grove and would highly recommend this dealership to anyone I know that is looking to buy a new, used or leased vehicle. I never felt any pressure to buy immediately and I think that speaks well of the dealership. I definitely recommend Mazda of Elk Grove, and Ratish in particular, for anyone who wants to buy a car.

Comment: Things worked out in the end, but the middle was a hassle. Ratish was our first contact on July 29. He was nice but we couldnt get together on a deal. The offer for our trade in was laughable so we decided to leave and sell it on our own. After selling the car we decided to try and work things out via phone beginning August 4. Just like when we went in we were unable to get things taken care of, although we were under the assumption that we were still working on a deal. On August 5th while waiting to hear back from a bank, we decided to go in since we hadnt heard back in hours. Although we were disappointed to find out that the car we were negotiating for was in process of being sold to another buyer, Anthony was able to find something similar to fit our needs and get a rate/payment we could finally agree on. Garrett handled the sale and even followed us home for the deposit and proof of income. We were also offered a free fill up when we had to come back in on August 7 to fill out a few documents that were missed (they were short on finance people on 8/5 so Anthony took care of the paperwork to get us out quicker). Overall it wasnt an amazing experience, but the friendliness of the staff and seeing the smile on my fiancees face made it a pretty good experience. If I ever decide to purchase a Mazda again I would have no problem returning. Thanks!

Comment: My wife and I have worked with Garrett Oxnaes for several weeks to research and ultimately purchase a Mazda 6. Garrett was fantastic to work with and patient with all our questions and gave us a great deal on the car we chose. We had a few unexpected emergencies this month and missed several appointments with Garret. He was very understanding and patient. Comment: I had a great experience at Mazda of Elk Grove. Garrett was an exceptionally helpful, down to earth salesman who helped me through every step of the car buying process, from initial email of interest through to driving my new car off the lot. He was fantastic. He treated me like a real person, not like a commodity or a quick sale. We joked and laughed and he absolutely went above and beyond what I had previously come to expect of car salesmen. He answered every question I had and even got me a great bid for car insurance - something he was not required to do. I didnt think I would be able to afford payments for a brand new car, but I was wrong. Garrett found me the perfect car, it is exactly what I wanted, and we were able to fit payments easily into my budget, with enough left over that I was also able to get the platinum warranty and still meet my budget! Comment: I completed considerable research on the type of vehicle I wanted to purchase prior to going to the dealer. When I arrived at the dealership I was promptly greeted and shown several versions of the vehicle I was interested in. I will be honest, my intention was to test drive the Mazda and then a vehicle I was also interested in from a different dealer. My effort went no further than Mazda of Elk Grove because of Garrett and his knowledge of the vehicle. He was able to provide a complete overview of the vehicle and answer every question I had. Like I said, I had spent considerable time researching the vehicle I wanted and not one time did Garrett respond with any information inconsistent with what I had found. Comment: The sales rep Garrett Oxnaes was super awesome! He worked with me to make sure I had exactly what I wanted and went over every option with me. He made sure I understood everything that was available to me and what all my possible scenarios might be. He negotiated top dollar for my trade, I couldnt have gotten a better trade in value anywhere! I would certainly come back just for this sales rep alone! I got a very good impression of management through my rep as alternate deals were offered and I was impressed to say the least. The finance manager was friendly, honest, and to the point. Because of the great customer service that I have always received, it made a big impact on my decision to purchase a new car at Mazda of Elk Grove.Over the past few months, I test drove a new Mazda CX-5 and a Mazda 6 on three different visits. Comment: My experience with Elk Grove Mazda was Great! I was referred to EG Mazda by a neighboring dealership salesperson who said Rachel would be of great help to me, and she was. She was friendly, she had a smile on her face, and she was not a pushy sales person. She receives extra credit in my book for not being pushy and trying to force me into something I did not want. She listened to what I wanted and was able to better educate me on what my options were with regards to getting a fuel efficient vehicle. Comment: I didnt expect to buy my car when I went up to Mazda in Elk grove. They have the best customer service. There so nice and willing to work with any problems or situation you are in. It was over a year ago so I forgot the name of the man who helped us, but at no time did we feel pressured into buying anything we didnt want or even into buying the car. Since then I have been in a few times for service and to get my tires rotated and each time I found the staff to be friendly and helpful. She was so kind and helpful and encouraged driving the car under harder conditions to test its limits!
