I live in Charlevoix Michigan, everytime I go threw the drive thru im always left disappointed. The McDonalds here always messes up my order. Im so over calling them to tell them they messed up. They messed up my drink, it was half full, it tasted horrible, gave me the wrong sandwich, I only had two pickles and I ordered extra pickle, im so disappointed and unsatisfied. Im not ordering from them anymore, which sucks because I live here. :-(
Ever since other fast food chains followed McDonalds lead, Ive been more and more disappointed with the food and consistently rising prices at McDonalds. However, their nuggets and ranch definitely hit the spot after a long day, and their breakfast is usually pretty good.
Female employee here made a mistake and told us we made the mistake and was rude as hell about it! She appeared to be a manager. I will say that the other people we interacted with were super friendly. Probably trying to make up for the manager’s behavior.
Best McDonalds Ive been to in quite a while. They got our entire large order correct and made well. The line was long when we arrived but moved very quickly. We will visit again.
They can cook the food great, but they have forgotten my sauce with my food so many times that it made me feel like I had to leave a negative review, and I never leave reviews. How hard is it to throw the sauce in there? The nuggets are terrible without the sauce so at that point it is just a waste of money.
My made to order chicken mcnuggets were the best I have ever had! They also have pumpkin pies with cream cheese 2/$2
The staff is awsome, food was just how I like it, the Argonne way! Thank you to our wonderful host and owner, Fred Taylor, I had a great time, and now have a good memory for my ** birthday.
Went there last night and the food was terrible. They used old oil to make food which made it taste rancid and burnt. We called to tell them and the manager said they knew their oil was bad but there was nothing they could do about it. 1 that’s terrible customer service coming from a manager. 2 how could knowingly you serve food out of bad oil, knowing it makes food taste bad and can make people sick! Would not recommend coming to this McDonald’s, it’s a joke!
Seems everytime my bf and I get coffee they have the order wrong. Tag on coffee says what its suppose to be but theres nothing but black coffee, can they not read? Dont do mobile orders either. Everytime were waiting. Once it was a half an hour and they didnt have a line for 5 minutes. I dont understand how hard it is. That was the easiest job Ive ever had.Worst McDonlads by far. Orders are always messed up, mobile orders take way to long, when you get to your food or drink your almost home or home when you get into it to find out its not what you ordered. Youd think theyd figure it by now when you complain on a regular basis.
Why is it so hard for people to get orders correct without me driving back through? 1 quarter pounder meal with a Dr.Pepper, and 1 #7 two cheese burger meal no onion with a sprite..... How do you leave out an ENTIRE cheese burger?... Read the slips!

The worst experience everytime I go this time I had to write something I waited 10min for a shamrock mc-flurry. 4 dollars for a small one and the young lady that came running in after who knows where anyone was throwing me a non mixed up green sludgy concoction with some oreo powder. This place disgusts me even more everytime. Its very unfortunate for the city of charlevoix that there subjected to this kind of service for out landish prices and disgusting made old foods. HIGHLY DISGUSTED.
Food was good. Came out quick. They bring the food to you now which is kinda cool. The food selection has improved over the years and thats huge plus. Recently got remolded and looks great. One of the better McDonalds Ive been too.
Not sure if it was just a bad night or what but I ordered oatmeal & an apple pie in the drive thru .....I kid you not almost 15 minutes went by before I made it to the window. The staff apologized & were very polite but obviously who ever made the oatmeal was very inexperienced, I had to drink my oatmeal.... There was a help wanted sign out front so they may have just been severely under staffed. The place is usually pretty good.
Used to live here in town, came back on vacation, decided to order 2 big macs and neither even had lettuce. On top of that one of our bigmacs didnt have meat. YES, seriously, no meat? We didnt order anything special. Who pays $5 for a big Mac and only gets pickle, onion, sauce and a bun? Very upsetting
My husband and I just had the best fast food experience of our lives. This Mcdonalds was the most efficient of any I have ever been to. The food was picture perfect and the taste was better than any other McDonald’s I have ever tried. 10/10 would drive from Traverse City for this place!
Food could be a lot better, they still dont have dining room open, and the toys for the kids meal suck, stupid plastic is all they are some can be cool but mostly not. The cup when the Lego movie came out was the best one yet, or the Pokémon card and plush.
Service at this location is always a bit slow. I generally go to pick up a McCafe beverage, and Im waiting on average 10 mins for one hot drink. I understand that there are people ahead of me, but its a little unacceptable to be waiting 10+ mins for one drink (no food). The staff are awesome though, and the food is always consistent.
Food is alright and service inside is good but everytime we go through the drive thru my wifes burger is always a plain one after she asks for a deluxe and even have the audacity to go slim on the original toppings. 4th time in 2 weeks!

I love this new phone app. I can order from the convenience of home and go pick it up when I am ready(as long as it’s within the time frame of breakfast for breakfast) rest is all day. I just heard a steak egg and cheese bagel meal with the French vanilla latte. I must say it was good actually great hit the spot. McDonald’s really has come around in the last few years that I’ve been going there. I had food poisoning from the one in Boyne city when I was 16 and have a vendor one sense 2014. Oh and all my experience was good the short visit I had with the lady giving made me a receipt she was very pleasant and staff giving me my food was as well. Plus it makes it so easy with the app you just tell them you’re confo number and they give you food simple.
Always available for me when I need my coffee. ;) There is a lady there whose name is Roseann and she is one of the happiest people I have ever come across. I continue to drive thru for coffee, just because I know that Im going to get a smile and the happiness is going to be contagious.
Food was normal MCDONALDS but the parking lot is a trash heap. All around the shrubs to the pick up window its covered in trash.Charloivox is such a beautiful town. This place sticks out.
Ordered two Cokes and a large fry to go, nothing much or spectacular. The lady who help me, Coleen, apparently doesnt know how to operate the computer or the fryer. The fries were way to greasy and tasted horrible. I had to insert my card twice because she clearly couldnt read the prompt to make my card go through successfully the first time. Will never come here again.
Cant ignore the facts any longer...every McDonalds I have visited lately has very slow service(long lines) and EXPENSIVE food that is not very good any more, guess its time to find somewhere else, Good Luck McDonalds, you are probably on your way towards bankruptcy.
Well I bought Shake today and it was a vanilla and it taste like strawberries when I didnt ask for a strawberry shake so you need to fix that
My wife and I regretfully visited this place on our vacation to Charlevois June of 2017. We ordered basic burgers and fries - I dont know if the cashier was a trainee or just didnt care about helping people but she never smiled, never thanked us for our order, and when food got to us it was prepared incorrectly... back to the counter for corrections! Also, my fries were cold - I was HOT! Asked for fresh fries and the girl who had waited on us handed me fresh fries and my corrected burger and didnt even apologize! Ive been to many many McDonalds all over the U.S. and this has got to be my worst experience ever. Needless to say I will never go back to this particular McDonalds.

Apparantly they turn their grill off about 20 minutes before they close I was just there and tried to order a burger and was told I could only order chicken and soft drinks. Very disappointed.
Quick and easy. Not the cleanest McDs Ive been to, but far from the dirtiest. Staff has always been friendly towards me. Getting in and out of the parking lot can be a pain depending on traffic.
Service is friendly but slow. Given my fries, which were underdone, then I waited another ten minutes for the rest of my food. Special order was wrong.
Friendly, but no toilet paper in the Ladies room stall. We told management. They stuck the whole huge replcement wheel on the babies changing table in the stall, rather than taking the time to put it in the dispenser, and it was later in the evening when it was not busy at all... Just done out of laziness. We came in the next morning for breakfast, and it was still there. The following day we came in, and there was water someone had obviously spilled in the entrans way and lobby. But, it took two different customer complaints and worries of falls before it was poorly mopped up, and no pilon or sign was set up to indicate the floor was wet even then. One morning It took three attempts to get an egg An egg mcmuffin. The man just quickly grabbed whatever was laying there when it was wrong, making the situation worse when we had to go back again with a sausage mcmuffin. Our order was wrong twice. Another evening while ratting in the lobby, we were given cold food. I took it back up and told the man that was the manager it was cold. He just chuckled, and put it in the microwave. I think we will have to switch the the a Burger King in town, even though we prefer McDonalds. This one doesnt even seem to be very motivated.
Every time I order at this location it’s always a bad experience; my fries were white/cold and barely cooked, my drink was 90% ice, Etc. Wouldn’t recommend this location!

If youre not going for coffee, dont bother. You wont get your full order and what you do get will probably be cold.

Had plenty of time to write this review in line. This is by far the slowest McDonalds Ive ever been to. It was a slow night with no one else in line, and it still took twenty minutes to deliver an otherwise simple and small order.
They serve lattes with low fat milk and sugar free vanilla. No child play area. You can pay by credit card.
Food ok MacDonalds tends to be greasy fries with to much salt and over salted burgers no matter what one i go to this year fresh bed they now use slows everything down more. But staff was friendly here

2022-05-01Very bad experience through drive thru when asking for a drink carrier (for 3 drinks). When calling to let the manager on shift know of the situation, I was hung up on. When calling back to get a district managers contact I was denied that information. I understand that businesses everywhere are struggling, but when a customer asks for a holder for several drinks there should not be a negative reaction.

2022-06-08I asked for a number 7 only Mac and sliver onions and I got only Mac went up to get it fixed and they took the one burger I had back with them and not both and put dehid onions on one and made me eat the other the way it was so screw McDonalds there the worst place to order food and expect no good service cuz they wont even help you or fix the order

2022-05-06Place is clean but waited at register for 5 min. Could see three people standing to side of counter BSing. A guy in manager shirt stuck his head over and seen me they went right back to BSing with the two other people. No on else in building and no one in drive-through.

2021-10-04I have driven to Charlevoix two separate times to go to this McDonalds. Both times I asked if they could tell me which happy meal toys they currently have as we are trying to collect them all. I got two different responses where both times they had a different excuse as to why they could not tell me which ones they have. They even said they are not allowed to select a certain one. Every other McDonalds is happy to make our day and tell us which ones they have and they let us purchase them. We did not end up purchasing anything here either time we stopped. We will continue to give our business to other Mcdonalds.

2021-08-12This McDonalds is very good!! My family and I live in the southern part of Michigan and are super impressed by not only the quality but also the presentation of their food. Everything was wonderful and their customer service was top notch when we used their drive thru.
