Meijer in other cities:
Place is hit or miss. They need to tell the lady that tries to sign you up for their credit card to back off a bit. She came up to me 3 times in one shopping trip. Also the greeters are amazing! And the man who works up at the customer service desk ...I dont have WIC so how are my items WIC items? Refused to exchange the moldy oranges I bought the day before...thankfully the nice lady with the accent straightened it out for me.
Always great! Only issue is when you go late at night and they have almost all the Shopping rows roped off to clean and when you need a certain product down one of those rows it is impossible to get and when you do find someone it’s another hassle explaining what you need. I know the floors need to be cleaned but there is a way better way to do it and not disrupt a customers shopping. Other then that they usually are never out of a product and that’s amazing!! Nice clothing selection too!
Wonderful staff. Always smiling and polite. Thank you to the man (I didn’t get your name, I’m sorry) who helped me find pie crusts tonight - it’ll be my first major holiday without my mom & I was having trouble figuring out where her normal pie crusts were. You were a blessing for helping me out.
This is a well managed store. There was a manager monitoring check outs and calling in cashiers as lines grew. The fresh produce section was very well stocked and offered a great deal on some of our favorite fruits. I found everything I was looking for and was checked out with great efficiency.
It appears that some of the products stuck in transit finally arrived like cat food and litter. The shelves that were empty for a few weeks now have a decent supply. Supply chain disruption has affected everyone but Meijer is doing its best to fill every shelf. I appreciate the effort of their staff in making that happen.
I recently moved here from Delaware and I was looking for a good place to buy groceries and other necessities. We dont have Meijer in Delaware so I figured Id give them a try. I was pleasantly surprised. The store was very clean and well stocked with a nice selection of goods. And they carry clothing and other home goods as well. All reasonably priced. I will be returning.
I love the deli part of Meijer. Theres a lady there (didnt catch her name) who is always so kind and has great customer service skills. The produce is top notch and I know someone who works here. Whenever hes around, I talk to him for a while just to catch up with him. Ive been coming here since I was a kid, and I cant recommend this enough. :)
Was there yesterday, wish trip was better. I know the store cannot do anything about their computer and declined EBT issues but they could train their checkout workers to wait until the customer is done paying and requesting cash back.Too many checkout workers at other stores, now this one, cash me out before I have a chance to put in a card pin or even request cash back. So it takes longer for people behind me to checkout! If the worker cannot do their job, they should not have it. Plenty of people would love to have the job and do it. Retrain your workers here, please!!
This Meijer reminds me not at all of home. My home doesn’t have sushi because my brother is allergic. My home doesn’t have 20 aisles. My home does have Tesla charging stations or a pharmacy. But this place was like home. It had chocolate and flowers. It had fresh fruit and many self-checkouts. It had a fabulous liquor section and even fish products. This was like home but not home. Not even a cabin.
Good store. Always clean and well organized. Staff is friendly and items are easy to locate. Only one thing that makes me cringe a little is that the store is always busy in terms of amount of costumers. Overall it is good place to shop for food and other home items and clothes at any time. Store has small and large basket to shop with which is a plus. Would recommend to anyone.
Evening shopping , everything thing fine until check out, lots of customers waiting , only two cashiers lanes open (and lots of self checks) , Had to threaten the service counter with checking out at Walmart instead , Manager promptly found three more cashiers to open lanes, Amazing!!!!!
I have been to the store on more than one occasion. I am very disappointed this time due to poor customer service not only by the associate but the grocery manager. A price tag was by a 24 pack of water with a sport top 3 for 10. While checking out the price was $6.19. I informed them of the price tag placement and the response from both the grocery manager and the employee was I dont know what to tell you. They also told me it was my responsibility to to read the fine print on the price tag. I was also told that the price tag is placed normally on the left side of the product as a consumer how am I suppose to know that. When I informed the manager that he was being rude as well as the employee he laughed and said that he was not rude. I do not recommend this store at all.
I try to shop when its not busy as even though they require masks, some (too many) take them off once inside. Many ignore distancing and then there are those who leave their nostrils outside of the mask. Its not all that safe, and with the new strains of the virus I may need to shop elsewhere.
Today is November 29th 2020. At 9:19 am. I am in with my stroller and 6 month old child. On the food side of your store was a greater. Elderly short short brownish grey hair wearing glasses treated me with do you have a mask and I said no I have asthma. She retorted with well I have asthma too and I still wear one. That was rude and uncalled for. I have two puff left on my inhaler I have to buy my next one which cost 400 bucks. My Medicaid for not cover another one. So for my health and safety yes I am not wearing a mask. She better be careful. Others wont just walk away like I did. She could get hurt. For her welbeib from problems she needs to keep her mouth in check. Not everyone is as fortunate as her.
This is definitely my go-to place for groceries. Especially when they are needed quickly as Im only a few minutes away. Always clean and the staff is always very polite and helpful. The only negative for me is the renovations that were done some time ago as it still confuses my simple mind as to where and why stuff is located in their new layout. Like all change though, with time this last issue will become less and less of an issue. I can say that there are more options in the store now since the renovation and restructure.
My experiences here have been better than at the Bay City - Wilder location. I imagine that with it being a little less busy, the workers are not stretched as thin and they have a few more moments to be helpful and friendly. Prices could come down a notch in my opinion, but the sales can be reasonably good.
Meijers has changed. No longer a good value in my opinion with exception of groceries. Went in to buy a set of Allen wrenches and a furnace filter and was surprised to see the cheapest set (and they were cheaply made) was 9$. Furnace filter was almost 6$. Nothing special. So if everything else is closed and you need something, expect to pay good money for inferior product as I had to do
The staff are so friendly, Im on a first name basis with most of them. I never have trouble finding what I need and if I do, theres always someone there to help. The organic section is large, and includes many fruits and vegetables, for a great price, which is difficult to find. I would recommend this store to anyone, whether in a hurry, or doing weekly shopping, its a perfect place to go!
This stores night shift is very disappointing rude and unfriendly. (With maybe one or two exceptions)Every time I go shopping during the day the employees are helpful and friendly. But at night it’s a whole different store. (1) the floor cleaning crew is exceptionally rude seemingly going out of their way to block off large sections of the store making it impossible to shop. *Huge sections of the store at a time! at a “24 Hour shopping center“ this job should be done in a much more professional and thoughtful manner. (2)Then the actual Meijer employee are rude and unhelpful. I get the impression they are miserable at work from most employees attitudes and expressions. They need to hire more service oriented people to do this job. (speaking as someone who works retail service jobs themselves) Overall the store is a nice small size Meijer location. But the service especially at night is making the store a terrible place to shop and often I end up spending my money elsewhere because of this.Hope it gets addressed soon! From a longtime concerned customer of Meijer
They have a very nice bakery. The deli needs to make sure they make enough food around high volume times. They never have there iced tea containers out when Im there and are always low on condiments. The customer service center makes returns a breeze. The cashier Taylor W. was super friendly and willing to help scan big items to make self check out easier. Watch out though for the cart guys coming in with carts. They dont pay attention to whats in front of them. One almost ran over my kid as we were walking past the doors!
The reason for 3 stars is due to selection of certain products in electronics, home ware items and clothing its ok could be better but not terrible how ever there food selection is just as good as Kroger or Walmart along with there pet supply section, health care section. I am aware each meijers may have more then the others depending on location due to size constraints of each stores location this is a review of Pine store location in Essixville. Wilder Road store and Saginaw area stores are bigger with a wider selection of the above issues I shared but no matter what meijers you visit food, healthcare, and pet sections are all the same at any location.
I dropped the star down to a 1 because number 1 is this place is not telling people about certain food items that is limited/or how much u can buy. Usually I buy a few cases of Ramen noodles and they said u only allowed to buy 4 single packs, I also buy 24 cans of chicken noodle soup ur only allowed to buy 4 single cans. The cashier said this policy has been around for a month which that is a LIE because I was just there 2 weeks before that and bought the same items and didnt have a problem Chicken noodle soup in a can was not even on the list only the Ramen noodles are. They are not the same! But I can buy 4 12 packs in a the Ramen noodle boxes. Umm thats 24, the same thing thats in the Case! So Im no longer coming this store again! Ill stick with Walmart
I love Meijer but this location is frustrating. The employees are always friendly and the store is clean, however there is ALWAYS something out of stock (despite crowded aisles due to restocking) Today was the last straw, they ran out of powdered sugar during Christmas baking season. I get its a busy baking time but they should be prepared, Kroger was when I made another trip there. Last year at Christmas they ran out of cheese blocks. As if this wasnt frustrating enough I asked the meat counter to slice something for me (The wilder Rd location does and this one did it for me last year) but was told they couldnt do it. I understand this is a smaller store but I shouldnt have to question each time I go if they are going to have something basic I need.
A lot of the shelves were empty. Check out was ridiculous. I use self serve when I have a few items. There were only 2 check out lines open with actual checkers. The lines were 8 people deep. I ended up going to the self check out and the employee helped me, every few bags, she put them in my chart and did an override so the computer let me continue.
Last 2 times I have shopped it has been at night all the people stocking in isles are smiles and helpful when I get to the self checkout the woman who oversees all that is very unfriendly almost to the point shes annoyed to help you. Never a smile or acknowledgement for that matter.
Although I like to shop local. Our meijer is not as good as it use to be. In the past month Ive bought fruit with mold growing on it. Strawberry individual milks that were spoiled. Discontinued favorite items. Less staff on the floor. I enjoyed seeing workers on the floor able to ask questions regarding products. To many self checkouts. I like dealing with a clerk at check out. What is going on?
There should be at least one actual lane open 24/7, those self check outs are extremely annoying and an inconvenience and way to small not enough room for bagging things. Tonight anyways lady was rude. 2nd and 3rd shift workers have to shop just like anybody else, absolutely no reason why you cant have at least one 24/7 lane.
Bought a phone and the service wasnt available in my area so I attempted to take it back and exchange it for something that would work for me. The electronics manager explained that they dont take any cell phones back for any reason. So, stuck with a phone I cant use. Used to love Meijer, now I dont feel comfortable buying anything there.
I have been visiting this particular Meijer since it opened. And every time I visit I spend at least $5-$10 at their cafe to not loiter. But within the last couple of weeks the second banana manager and one door greeter has started to follow me through the store. Any Lawyers listening? All businesses today are doing so much to get loyal customers and I and my family shops here frequently. So why are they being stupid and thinking Im stealing? Any Lawyers listening?I spend lots of money their and really like the place. I cant help their stupidity.
Well I didnt like standing in a line to check out after 2 hours of shopping u would think after all.the time u spend and the higher prices you could have your bags at least put in the cart ...i spend 300 and had two carts ya think that one of the employees would of offered me help ....I guess I will go to Kroger next time!!!!
Since the virus, I’ve had to shop at Walmart because your store never has anything I need in stock. Shelves empty, never any paper products. It’s like Meijer doesn’t care enough about the community to bother to restock. And, as much as I don’t like going to Walmart, they always have everything I need.
I prefer to go in the wee hours of the morning when there are far less people to shop While the store is relatively quiet that doesnt mean your alone. The over night staff is extremely friendly and helpful. They have great prices and if its advertised they have it on the shelf... No hunting! The bakery smells amazing with fresh baked goods smell floating in the air. The deli staff makes me giggle with their positive attitude. I dont eat meat but when I buy it from the deli I just have to tell them what its for and they know how best to slice it.I enjoy the fact they are open 24/7 so I can slide in and out when convenient for me. The store is always neat. You must join their MPerks club! Returns as so simple. Cant find a receipt, no problem! The MPerks program keeps the data stored so you dont need he piece of paper. So convient and makes it easy on shoppers.
I used to be a big supporter of Meijer, but they have changed a lot over the past couple of years, and not in good ways. I used to get gas for my car here, but was annoyed with their insistence of making a verbal greeting over the PA. I emailed them to explain that I use the pay at pump option so I dont have to interact with anyone, but I was ignored. I havent gotten gas here for several years for that reason. Then they rearranged their layout. I used to know where everything was, but now it just looks like Walmart. They removed the jewelry section and the hardware area is all but gone. The only reason I ever visit this place anymore is convenience of location. They are no longer special.
Its getting old coming here to shop and finding the shelves empty. This is not occasional, but pervasive. Its not just sale items either, but sale items are the worst. When Meijer has a sale, the day after the sale starts they are completely out of stock on many, many items. Also, their canned goods are always smashed and dented. It wastes my valuable time having to sort through each and every can trying to find the undamaged ones. Your pharmacy is inefficient and the drugs Ive purchased there many times before are now being purchased by Meijer from some other foreign company and now I must try to be satisfied with substandard generic medication. Contrary to popular belief, not all generic medications have the same potency. Now Meijer does not sell the generic brand I prefer. So I will be sick and tired because my medication will not work as well. They continue to charge the consumer more and more, but deliver less and less. I am not happy about any of these things. But what can I do? Im only one person. Who cares about one person? Certainly not Meijer.
Out of multiple items in bakery. Meat case in grocery looked old and dry. Multiple items in store were not in stock. Icee machine drinks were hardly frozen even though showing ready. Coke machine was out of several drinks. Store looking below par the last few times I was there. Mums outside for sale looked poorly.
Produce was fresh. However I needed help in the deli section I couldnt find an item the man behind the counter told me they didnt have the item I was looking for but a gentleman working behind him corrected him and told me they did. The gentleman took me over to the product I needed.
Workers are friendly however its hard to find cheaper items seems like they try to hide them in a small area so you dont see them. lines are always long whenever i go there. i used to think that the lines at walmart were long however meijer lines have been worse as of late.
While not as large as the Meijer on Wilder Rd. here in Bay City, and with a smaller selection of merchandise, it is still a great place for all of your needs. Being smaller, it lends itself to an easier in and out trip to the store. My family seems to go to Meijers on a daily basis for something we seem to need. Glad to have them here!
Ok generally I like this place close to home got a little bit of everything including Carhartt clothing and a good boot selection but youre better off buying electronics at Walmart how about a Bluetooth speaker for$59 buck took it back they said it only came up$31 so thats over a $20 restock fee locked back to the electronic center still had the same speaker for $59 so dont buy electronics they charge you coming and going even if youve just had it for a day theres supposed to be 30 days on electronics but if you lose your receipt are just dont grab one in the first place you are literally throwing your money away and they act like theyre doing you a favor why they taking your hard-earned money
My family and I visit here frequently for produce grocery department, garden area, in store Huntington bank branch, we buy literally every time at their deli area and sit in eat in the cafe. I pass many a restaurant and other grocery stores (2 Krogers, 1 Wal-Mart, 1 Save a Lot) and we just like their low cost yet good quality chicken and deli foods.
My comments do not just pertain to Meijer alone, the following frustration seems to be common nearly everywhere you go. I do not like all of the self-serve checkouts. Meijer is becoming comparable to Walmart in relation to Long wait times in the checkout Lanes. I can never seem to find any human to help me. IPay Fair money for the merchandise that I buy, I find it only fair that the corporation offer Human Service to back what we spend as patrons.
I have been coming to this Mijers, its horrible how they have get rid of the express lane and making us do the Job to check our own groceries, to save money, pretty soon we will be stocking the shelves too! I see no savings at all they saving money by closing some cash register Im no very happy about it
Nice selection the store is getting more improved and a wider selection nice to have two of them in our town just wish the one on Pine Street was more like the one on Wilder its almost like the Meijer on Pine Street is a low budget and the one on Wilder is a higher-end Meijer or maybe its just because of the mass election you have on Wilder compared to Bare Necessities at the one on Pine
It snowed Friday yet on Sunday at 200 pm the parking lot still wasnt plowed. We live in Michigan 3 of snow isnt that much. The check out lines were 3 to 4 carts deep at all open registers several unopened registers. Lots of staff walking around, but elderly people where fighting to get their carts out to their cars.
Waited for 42 minutes as 4 employees passed by me, didnt even ask if i needed help, picked up the red phone twice to finally get someone to assist me, then it took that employee over 20 more minutes just to tell me they dont know if they even have any ps4 controllers which they never found out if they did so i gave up trying to get one, Check out lady was rude af too, bought some work gloves before i left and they didnt know how much the gloves cost which took about 20 more minutes, ill never shop there again.
VERY NICE STORE... NOW THAT IVE BEEN THROUGH IT A FEW TIMES, THE REMODELING JOB THEY DID HAS REALLY MADE IT SEEM LIKE A BRAND NEW BUILD. THIS STORE REALLY DOES HAVE ALL THE GROCERY ITEMS YOU NEED AND THE DEPARTMENT STORE SIDE HAS SOME GOOD QUALITY STORES. THE EMPLOYEES ARE ALL VERY FRIENDLY AND OUTGOING.
A great place to save on food and household items. Also furniture and appliances are sold here, also fresh baked goods on the spot. There is Huntington Bank in side the store.very friendly employees willing to help you.Opened 24 hours a day, ample parking, with a gas station

2022-05-15You either need to get a better selection of clothing...or get rid of it altogether. There is nothing anyone would wear there. Clearance racks are unsightly. Food and produce good quality. Prices are high everywhere...here too. Convenient locations. Store is clean.

2022-03-30I love shopping here. They always got everything I need.clean environment as well. Employees are fantastic for the most part . Every now and then you might come across a mean one, other than that . 5 stars. Especially being the only place out here that is even worth going to.

2022-02-28Good store for most of your needs. Grocery selection is not always great and lots of gaps on the shelves. Meat prices are kind of high and sometimes hard to get what you are looking for. Overall though one of the better places for you to shop

2022-01-29Most staff polite n helpful. Checkout person had a mask on but kept coughing into her hand. No sanitizing between customers. Had to ask the checkout person to sanitize her and before touching my groceries.

2022-03-30Lately missing multiple key items on a regular basis. While the supply chain woes may be to blame, I will note Kroger routinely will have the items on my list that Meijers fails to stock. Otherwise not a bad place to get a lot of shopping done

2022-03-28Great place to shop! They have some cool fashion choices. Friendly service and staff. They have a selection of organic produce.
