Friendly staff. The service took less time to do than I was told. They got me in right away. I definitely recommend.
My first time using Meineke all of my headlights went out. They squeezed me in last minute. They checked over my vehicle to see if any other repairs were needed, which I appreciated. The second trip was for my brakes. They reserved me a loaner which helped me out a lot. The brakes were completed before end of day. Great service! The staff is very friendly and helpful! Thank you guys! Youre an awesome team!
Ive been going to this Meineke for years and have always felt very well taken care of. Out of convenience, Ive tried other mechanics in town as Ive moved to different parts of the city, but I find myself making the drive to this location due their high quality customer service. I have and will continue to recommend this location to my friends and family. Good people through and through!
I called for pricing on oil changes. My call was answered quickly and politely. Better service than most in my experience. I dropped my truck off so I could get it done that day (there wasn’t an actual opening but I was told they’d fit it in anyway). An hour or so later it was done.Good price for a synthetic blend oil change.
We were traveling from out of town for a family funeral when our car started making a horrific noise. We went here because it was open. They were fantastic. They understood our time constraints, diagnosed the problem, fixed it, and got us on our way. We really appreciate their kindness and professionalism. Our bill ended up less than the estimate. A nice surprise.
Great service! People that work here are very pleasant and professional and you can tell they genuinely care about their customers and want to lend a helping hand, even to the ones who are out of town and need a quick diagnostic and service because their car broke down. If it wasnt for them, I wouldve replaced the wrong part and who knows what consequences that wouldve caused. I am so glad I stopped here and had them inspect my car.
I have never in my life used a more efficient mechanic, and never again will I use another one. The receptionists are the nicest people Ive ever met. Always use Meineke.

They were so busy when I went in for my Uber Inspection. The receptionist was totally calm, as she handled customers in person and on the phone. The receptionist was very friendly. They identified my problem in a timely manner and got it fixed for way cheaper than I thought it would be. Wish I would of got it done sooner. Car feels like a tesla now its so quiet.

I needed a routine inspection for Uber and was happy to find out Meineke was a few mins away. The staff was really friendly and thorough and not just with me. Other customers got the same treatment. If I dont man up and do it myself, Ill be back to get the rear brakes done ✊🏾
Meineke was able to fit me in under short notice to get my headlight and brake light bulb changed. While being there I had a few negative experiences. I was there for over 2 hours when the quoted wait time was an hour to an hour and a half. That wasnt much of an issue. The real problem occurred when I looked at my receipt and saw I was charged $85 for 1 headlight bulb. I asked the guy who was helping me to see the package the bulb came in and he brought out a second bulb and said apparently it was a twin pack and he didnt know. I got my second bulb, paid, and left. Thats over $40 I could have lost had I not said something. Overall cost was $244 to get 2 bulbs replaced. Labor was $122. I understand you have to make your money, but that seems a little much for a service that should have only taken an hour max. Overall I feel taken advantage of by this establishment and I wont be returning.Update:The number provided to reach out to customer service is either no longer in service or busy. I emailed customer service and had to expain my problem twice since they didnt understand the first time. I was told they would forward my concerns to the manager. I got a corporate email apology that was very impersonal. Go to this place at your own risk. Please research the price of the parts they are using as well.
My vehicle was there for 10 days before they finally did repairs. I was told they had too many appointments to proceed with the repairs.

Made the appointment for header and mid pipe replacement ahead of time, they gave me all the information as they did the work. Had it all done in a timely manner. great shop to go to with friendly employees. I would recommend them to anyone that needs basic work done.
Highly recommend this place. They let me know that I didnt need to make my repair right now and it was safe to drive and have repaired later on. Very friendly and quick service and explained things well. I have had many experiences at mechanics where I felt like I was being taken advantage of, so this shop has gained my trust and loyalty. Also--the shop is owned by a woman and the woman who helped me was fantastic. I will be back!!

Great customer service from start to finish! I don’t recall who scheduled my appointment but she was very friendly on the phone and gave me a ballpark estimate to fix my exhaust which was leaking. Rick was very nice when I checked in, and I was pleasantly surprised when Brian brought me into the shop to show me the leak and explain that the original flange had corroded too heavily and that they would need to weld a new one in place. I’ve never had a technician or manager show me the issue, explain how they were going to fix it, and then give me a very reasonable quote for the repair. I suggest scheduling an appointment, these guys are busy, and now I see why. I’ll definitely be taking my truck back here for service!

Had some electrical issues come up on Saturday. My Lincoln was fixed Monday. The service was friendly and professional all the while their price to fix my problem cheaper than expected so that was a nice surprise. Would recommend to get vehicles repairs done here.

I Heard about them by SOS when they was promoting them on the T.V. Screens inside. So at the time I just Bought a Pontiac G6 and there was no muffler on it they fix it with no hassle and even brought the price down by a whole $61 dollors. Very professional place quick and easy.
My husband took our van here to have the brakes checked and the mechanic didn’t tighten one of our wheels back up when he was done. So he left the shop with one of our wheels about to fall off putting our whole family in danger. The worse part is that the manager refused to own up to what they did. I definitely do not recommend anyone to go to this shop.

It took less than a hour at Meineke to do what Express Auto couldn’t do in 2 weeks. The ladies behind the desk are friendly & professional. The mechanics are very knowledgeable & understanding.
This truly IS the ONLY shop I trust and will use.I came in a year to get my brakes and exhaust checked. After inspecting my brakes and exhaust, they actually showed me what needed to be done; brakes are fine, but considerable work could be done on my exhaust, but wouldn’t NEED to be done as the damage wasn’t hurting my car. Mieneke provided an estimate, but there was NO charge! This amazed me! I have finally found an honest, quality shop!I returned recently to check my brakes and tires going into the winter months, and again, they were true to form. They let me know my brakes and tires were fine, but there was a different concern that should be addressed. Again, other shops would have added brakes into it whether they were needed or not - but not Mieneke. They took great care in repairing what was needed, and got me on my way. I will be going here for all repairs, concerns, and oil changes.

My cars air conditioner wasnt working so I took it to a place that was recommended. After paying almost $350 to have it checked,they gave me an estimate for almost $600 to actually fix it. It seemed too high so a friend checked on line for me and found this business that had good reviews. Im so thankful I took it here! They checked for the leak, found it and didnt even charge me! To actually fix the air conditioner, their estimate is over $100 cheaper than the other place( Bob&Daves).

Made appointment and showed up 10 minutes early and my car didnt get looked at till an hour after appointment. Then another hour later when I thought they would be done, they said got you a quote ready, which was 5 times the amount I was quoted already on the phone. They said I needed work done on something I literally just had done by somewhere else. Been here for almost 3 hours for a 1 hour job, no end in site, no one updates me just here till I die... starting to wonder what horrible thing I have done to deserve this. Please someone come get me chances are Im still here.I do want to say though the brake work that was done is done very well so the mechanic that worked on my car is good mechanic
Oil change was reasonable however my shifter got broke. The manager actually tried to deny that damage but stop him in his tracks. Then had the nerve to suggest that i pay for labor if they fixed what they had broken
I was very nervous going to get my car looked at because I am a young adult that knows nothing about cars & have had very bad experiences in the past. This place is amazing!! They diagnosed my car and gave me a reasonable estimate and even took the time to take me back into the shop to show me what’s wrong. They didn’t pressure me to get it fixed on spot and gave me the honest truth about the issue. I will definitely be going back.

I went in to have my oil change for the $19.95 full service offer. Everyone that I encountered was very friendly, talkative, personable, and engaging. I had a very pleasant conversation with Jennifer after my oil change was completed. I learned that her daughter went to the same school as my kids. That was pretty cool. Anyway, it’s nice to go into a place for service and have the employees engage in conversation and be treated like family or a friend.
They are very accurate and got me in and out in one day they were very nice and truly seem to care I would give them my business again and also I would recommend them to others

Had my muffler repaired after it came loose. They did a great job because it runs great, was under the estimate and was done in about an hour. Also the staff are very helpful in bringing you home if you have to wait too long. Staff also seem very happy with each other. Happy staff is noticed by customers.

Open on Saturdays, that is convenient for me. Within two hours of my appointment, I had a call describing what work was needed. The repair was completed promptly and was done for $500 less than what Id been quoted at another shop (Id been quoted elsewhere for an unnecessary part). I was offered a ride to come and pick up the car when it was done, and when I paid, the technician came out and showed me the part that had gone bad and explained what they did to fix it. Friendly service. Highly recommend.

I brought my 04 trailblazer in due to a transmission leak. Ended up being a trans. Pan gasket. Rick replaced the bad gasket, found that my battery was old/dead. I spent just over 350.00 which included parts. Labor. And a new battery. Thanks for the no hassle, honest and professional work. Great Job!
Was a good experience. They knew my hands were tied on spending as it was a company car. They filtered out what issues that were best to be addressed during this visit. My girlfriend picked me up when I dropped it off and went to visit our child at the hospital and they took the consideration of texting me the car was ready and I can come pick my van anytime. It was awesome all around experience and will come back.

I went to Meineke as I was referred by my Mother and so this was my second time going and on this specific day the receptionist approached me and she let me know that they were running about 20 mins behind schedule but it didnt even take that long and I was surprised on how fast they did my oil change and they told me about a noise they heard in my car and we scheduled a return date so I can get it checked out. The Meineke family are always professional and very friendly, thank you Meineke.

Examined my used car I was going to buy. It was easy to schedule. It took just over a half hour for the work. Saved me from a lemon. Lots of big things to fix. They know their stuff.

The only place to take your vehicle. Rick is the best! They always give it to you true. If its not worth fixing they dont hesitate to let you know. I take both my personal vehicles and work vehicles there.
This was my first time using Meineke. I usually use a locally owned, mom and pop shop, but to get same day service at one of those shops is hard. Stopped in for just a brake job (rotors and pads). I came in fearing the big chain mechanic shop, my original thought its going to be expensive and shotty work. To my surprise, it was a very reasonable price, quality work and parts, friendly staff and local owner! I will still use the mom and pop shops in the future, but for to he quick service I would recommend them to anyone!
Took my vehicle in for a coolant leak, let me know soon after I needed the water pump replaced and had me back on the road the next day!! I definitely recommend.
I waited over 2 hours early Saturday morning just for front brake pads. I’ve had front and back with new rotors at the dealership in half that time. They also tried to upsell me on new rotors when I just got new ones on last year. I’ll stick to the ford dealership they are only a touch more expensive but at least they are timely and don’t upsell me there
They are friendly and will take care of your vehicle. If you have any issues they will address it and make sure you are happy. Sometimes they even go above and beyond!
I have been using this location for several years now and am incredibly pleased with their service and their staff. Bob is the man and is super trustworthy. Its incredibly hard to find a great mechanic nowadays but you dont have to look further than here! I drive from Grand Haven myself and refuse to look elsewhere.Update (August, 2017): Sadly, Bob retired, but Rick is (I believe) the new manager now and it feels like he is aiming at being the next Bob, both personally and professionally...which is exactly what Id want. Unless ever given a reason to change my mind, Ill continue to either go here or Krohns in Grand Haven (if I need something more immediately close to home).

I had a bunch of (overdue) work to get done on my car before a roadtrip. I decided to go to this Meineke due to a recommendation from my oil change place. Bob, the owner, was very helpful and friendly in helping diagnose and explain the work I should and could get done. When I told him I was on budget and that getting the work done quickly was my priority, he pointed me in the right direction for what was essential and made sure the work would be done the same day. I plan on going back to finish off his recommended list when I get back to Grand Rapids.
Rich went above and beyond to help find the parts needed for my repair and Jennie is a kind and professional owner. I would highly recommend this business and appreciate their commitment to their customers and excellence.

Terrible experience. Brought my 2008 Honda CR V for an exhaust leak. They made the repair but it failed 2 days later. Brought it back FOUR times before I gave up and had another shop fix their lousy workmanship. Will NEVER take my cars to them.

These guys are easy going only complaint is they forget to put small parts back on that dont effect driving but special rim caps are a big deal. Other then that they are quick mechanics
I brought in my work van a little over a year ago to have it fixed here. There was a coolant leak at the heater hose off the manifold. They kept it longer than they said, charged me a ton of money to fix the leak. The owner said his mechanic broke two lines trying to replace it, and was told by the dealer to repair it with a threaded galvinized pipe they cobbled together with what looks to be jb weld. It started leaking at the poorly sealed threads and has caused my vehicle to over heat. I couldve broughty vehicle to some hack or cobbled it together myself for the $1000 they charged to repair it. I went to them based on Google reviews. This is what I get for trusting the internet I guess.

Had to have my engine repaired after the timing chain broke and scrapped my engine. They are very professional and honest. I would definitely use them again.
Classic bait and switch, I got the $19.95 complete oil change for only $27.31.This was for the no extras oil change on a Ford Fiesta that takes a below average quantity of oil.The only explanation offered was they need to pay a fee to dispose of the oil. Somehow this isnt included? Makes sense...Dont expect any repeat business or recommendations.2 stars because other than completely false advertising the service was fine.

U better due your homework about them they cost more then a dealership. And ever time I was there more & more needed to be done . they dont stand behind the there work. After they worked on my jeep had to take to another shop

Friendly and answered all my questions only issue was I waited there for work and their parts supplier delivered the part to the wrong location and it took a couple hours to get it to the correct location which took longer to get the job completed.

Price to high they quoted me $1,500 and another place quoted me $600 and another $550 I believe because Im black thats why. wish I can take the one star back.Thats okay God will take care of all the crooks period. 2022-03-07Meineke on 28th st is the best. They’re a cut above the rest. I’ve had multiple cars in there over the years and I’ve only had a couple bigger repairs there. Anytime I’ve had an issue, they’ve on multiple occasions told me if it was a simple, easy fix. I’ve never felt like they were trying to add on services to charge me more.I’ve even come in there before and told them I wanted my brakes done, they brought me in to the shop and showed me how my brakes are good and don’t need to be done for a long time! They’re always honest, trustworthy and extremely knowledgeable. They’ve got my business for life.This last time my car died, they saw that the alternator wasn’t charging the battery and the battery was dead. So naturally, it’d make sense to replace the alternator (very expensive!) - however, the technician noticed the alternator belt was pretty worn, so they quoted me the belt price, we tried it out and turns out it was just a new belt that was needed! It was like 8x less expensive! Again, they’re always trying to do the right thing.

2022-04-27This business has exceptional customer service. I am from out of town transporting my grandson to chemo treatments when my car started making odd sounds. Even though they were booked solid they worked me into their schedule, had my car fixed the same day and for a very reasonable price. I would highly recommend them.

2022-07-16I had a muffler delete done and a straight pipe installed. They got me in as soon as they could and got done in no time. Exceptional service very friendly and employees go above and beyond for each customer. Very professional work and Im very happy with the outcome. Highly recommend for any work you need on your vehicle.

2022-03-24My car was experiencing some issues with the exhaust/resonator and I was recommended to come here for service by a family member. I believe the associate who helped me was Liz and she went above and beyond in terms of helping me understand what was wrong with the car. She was very friendly from when I entered to when I left. They showed me hands on what the issue was with my car and I was able to see it for myself. I was then given options to which they would service my car for. Rather than offering me the most expensive option, to get me to pay a more expensive price, they gave me options that would fit my budget. My service also required a part to be ordered to them the same day, and instead of me waiting for hours on end wondering when the part would arrive, they continuously gave me ETAs on when it would arrive. Overall it was a great experience and I will consider them the next time my car needs servicing.

2022-08-13Brian is the reason I will continue to do business with Meineke on 28th street. He’s Knowledgeable and willing to teach; and he’s friendly engaging with!! I’ve met quite a few mechanics and front desk clerks who work for a mechanic shop and have a stand-off-ish ‘just give me your car and leave’ type attitude, which doesn’t make having to see a mechanic on a Friday any better. 2021-04-19Took my car in for a tire rotation and to patch a tire with a air leak. Initially they told me patching it wouldnt be a issue but after they removed the tire they found damage on the inside of the tire and told me that it couldnt be patched. So I had them put my donut on the car and they loaded the rim into my trunk. It wasnt until I got back home did I see the damaged they did to the rim along the edge. I ended up going to belle tire to get a new tire and they were able put it on without causing any damage.
