Epic place to have fun, enjoy yourself, get aome excersise. Strategy plays a HUGE role making it that much more enjoyable! 100% better than your average laser tag place like Zap Zone, and definitely worth it to have a party there and play against friends and family! The staff are amazing and friendly, I always look forward to playing at MI Combat! Last but not least, theres even a leaderboard to show which players have become the best of the best, and statistics to show accuracy, kills, deaths, shots per minute, and more such as players being able to earn MVP awards and achievements as they play, giving everyone something to work hard for and feel proud of once the game is over.
Normally MI combat is a great experience; however whenever your gun doesn’t work for half the match even after swapping it out with once then twice halfway through rounds it’s pretty frustrating. As I said normally really fun but having to swap your gun out twice is not. Very disappointing
So much fun. You play for about an hour, and it is a bunch of mini games. Deathmatch, hardpoint, reaper. The guns are heavy, and you have to reload them. It is way more fun then regular laser tag. I would definitely bring a bottle of water with you into the game, you have a base where you can keep it during play, but it gets very hot in the room, and there is a lot of running and crouching, so you get thirsty pretty quick! I am definitely going to be back!
Heck of a night! Brought a party of 11 for our first time playing MI Combat. We had a blast. The laser tag far exceeded our expectations, very realistic, accurate guns, and the course was built very well. John and his team were top notch all the way from time of booking through the end of the night. They have the process very well put together so that a first time group understands how to play and can jump right into the games. Wear athletic clothes, it is a workout. We will be back!
Great place for parties, fantastic for all ages. The best team captains run the game room and a brilliant photographer walks around through the game to take pictures. Multilevel buildings inside the game room serve for perfect sniping spots and your vest wont glow unless youre hit
We have thrown two private parties here for work events and could not be more pleased! They are so kind and accommodating! Even with this last party, we had a bunch who were a little more rowdy and they were so patient with us! We had an absolute blast! Returning employees were thrilled to participate again and new employees thought this was such an awesome experience! A huge thank you to MI-Combat!
Friends and I have been going there over the past few years and loved it. Although our recent experience was bad enough to make us not want to return. The equipment needs to be updated/repaired/refreshed as numerous people in our group ran into equipment failures and system failures, which made it impossible to play. We started late and ended early compared to other times. Would not be interested in returning until they update their equipment to work properly to make it as fun as it once was.
This was my first time visiting this place. My son invited me and said it was laser tag but then told me it was more like a real life version of playing the Call of Duty video games. It was fun. There were many diverse people who participated. It was a different experience for me and really fun. I came in at No#20 out of 35 people. Not bad for a noob! Lol. It might become one of my favorite places to visit.
Super dope! Awesome to go with a group of people. The staff was great, the place was clean and orderly, and you really felt super welcomed with the whole experience. Small drinks and foods offered at a small concessions stand, as well as company merchandise. I must say, by the end of our 2 hour session with them, me and all of my friends were sweating and tired. Great workout and great place. Will definitely be back!
This was so fun! I love the ranking system and missions at this location. Ive gone to a couple different tactical laser tag facilities and this one might be the best. Great price and great game play. Plus they have lockers for you to put purses and bags away so theyre secure.
**********THE STAFF, PLAYERS, AND FIELD ARE THE GREATEST*********I had a trip with a few friends from Chicago. Honest this has quickly become one of my favorite places to check out. We spent 2 days here and the staff/players were AMAZING. I loved how kind everyone was and just welcoming. Their field was amazingly put together and they were so open to suggestions and just really cared about making this a fun activity while getting a little competitive. I look forward to visiting this location multiple times a year and look forward to connecting more with people there. YOU ALL ROCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The Short: Great staff, fun atmosphere, fairly priced. Definitely will be returning on a regular basis! The Long: I have been to MI Combat several times now and have NEVER been disappointed with my experience. From the helpful staff at the front, to the game itself, I and everyone I have brought have had an exceptional experience! They do their best to ensure everyone has a great experience and teams play fairly. I have played with all adults (young and old), a mix of new and advanced players, young kids and combination of all those list, still was able to have a wonderful time. Great for beginners too. No experience is needed.**This game models some video games people might recognize such as Call of Duty and Modern Warfare. This is NOT traditional laser tag. The playing field, the guns, the gear are meant to seem real. There are no flashing lights on the vests and there are serious players that will use tactics. With that in mind I have played with groups of kids (probably 10 years old and older) before and they respected the rules and the idea of the game, we all had a fun time working together as a team. Before bringing young kids, just keep that in mind. I am not trying to discourage parents from bringing them I just want to make sure parents are aware since this type of laser tag is fairly new **Suggestions:-If you have never played before and do not have a login (which is free) arrive at most 30 mins before your session time so the staff can get you set up.-Wear comfy dark clothes and athletic shoes.
This was really fun. A great workout too. We were drenched in sweat. Also shout out to great customer service. One of the first businesses who called me back within 30 minutes even though I didnt leave a mesage. I swear a lot of other businesses act like caller id doesnt exist. Anyways definitely will be back.
This place has it all. My grandson wanted to go here for his birthday and I got to join in on the fun. The staff were very courteous and accommodating. It’s hard to explain this place but in short, if your looking for something exciting to do, this is it. It’s definitely geared towards teen and up so don’t go expecting the typical kids laser tag although my 11 year old grandson kept up with the adults with the support of an employee (Matt), that was our teams leader. We left exhausted, energized and covered in sweat! It’s a great work out. During one session I hid under a Hummer and expected to be covered in dirt. Nothing. That’s how clean this place is. They offer snacks, pop, water and have a small retail area for souvenirs. A photographer stays hidden but gets some amazing photos. This would also be a great place for Team building work events because you definitely learn to rely on and support your team. I just can’t say enough. We will definitely be going back and probably become regulars. 👍👍👍
From planning to the date of our event, this place was fantastic, helpful and so much fun. We took about 25 of our staff here for some fun team building and they are raving about it! We will be back. Highly recommended for corporate team building, stress relief and just plain fun!
This was a great place, you can play with other people that go there at the same time. It is a really big area to play laser tag. I went there for my cousins birthday and it was amazing. If you need help then the staff will be there to help you. You play one game for 1 hour and 30 minutes. At the end you can look at all of the scores compared to the other people and compared to your friends and see who did the best. I would recommend that you go there if you want the best laser tag experience that you can get.
Had a 9th birthday party here and they couldn’t have been more accommodating. The kids had a BLAST (pun intended). Parents got to watch and a few dads participated with the kids and EVERYONE has said they want to do it again. Staff was great to work with as well. Highly recommended.
I was really excited to play here with a bunch of my friends i brought along. at first, the employees were really nice and supportive. then a few of my teammates’ gear stopped working, which did not pause the game or anything, we still got shot at. But the thing that really got to me...one of the opposing teammates was running (which is “against the rules”, and ran straight into my chest with his gun pointed outwards. you can imagine how painful a metal barrel to the chest is. anyways, when i told him he hit me really hard, he said “it wasn’t even hard”, i repeatedly told him it was hard and that when you hit someone the least you can do is apologize. this clearly made my team react and told him to apologize which he didn’t. our team employee told my team that we would get kicked out...even though we were defending our team and he was the one that hit into me. she did not respond appropriately to the situation and threatened to throw us out, but did not say anything to the other team who was 1. running, and 2. hit right into me. this experience was supposed to be fun, but it ended up really bothering the team and i. overall, we definitely won’t be back.**Update: it’s been two days and I haven’t heard back from them after they said they would get back to me. Also, they left a review saying that a manager approached me, but not one employee approached me after the game.
Awesome venue! If you loved laser tag as a kid this place is for you. I threw my fiancé a surprise 29th birthday party here and they could not have been more accommodating. They were super cool about working with my party to get them in a spot to say “surprise!” And everyone had a blast. The arena was challenging but fun and everyone said that they would be back. My group also appreciated the photographer getting pictures of them as they played. Couldn’t recommend them more and definitely will be encouraging people to check this place out.
To start, the staff was helpful, upbeat, positive, and encouraging...just what you want before going to war on the streets of Detroit. The gear was great quality...nothing cheap or chintzy about it. Inside, the backdrop and props were strategically located to optimize the experience. They break up the 1.5 hour experience into 8 five minute exercises so us middle-aged folks can catch our breath and each exercise has a different theme or objective to break up the monotony (if that were possible) of trying to take out the other team. Overall, it was a great way to have fun with the kids, Bill teamwork and strategize with them, awesome workout, best bang for your buck, all around great time. We will definitely be back!
This place is absolutely amazing!!! We took my son and some of his friends here for his birthday. Every single employee was attentive, knowledgeable and personable. We had a blast from the youngest of our group all the way up to the adults. I love that they incorporated different game moods to keep it exciting!
Cant get enough of this place! I go every time I come up to Michigan. Highly recommend for any active military, veterans, gamers or just anyone whos super competitive. Its also great for anyone that wants a combat simulation without the pain of paintball or airsoft. The staff are always super nice and helpful and the gear always looks sick. Cant wait to go back.
Would have been a great time but the staff was demeaning to my wife. Changed her user name from her name to a comment on when we arrived. There was no ownership of the disrespect and when I asked the guy running the game why her name was that he said I cant help you Im trying to running the game. I asked who to talk to he blew me off said that he was just trying to run the game and could not help. I spoke with the employee at the desk who eventually became apologetic after I said wed leave a review and asked his name, he replied, Do I want to tell you? Probably a nice place unless you have to talk to the employees.
If youre looking for a great time with friends, this is the place for you. The staff is a lot of fun and are very interactive. The game itself is a ton of fun considering the quality of the gear you wear, and the clear thought put into the design of the course. Ive attended several matches and private games and had a great time during all of them. I believe it can be enjoyed by both younger and older people alike. Whether youre planning a day trip to a public match or a private party, this is a great place to come to have a fantastic laser tag experience.
Want to be the cool mom? If yes, book your childs birthday party here! Everyone (including adults) had the BEST time! Staff was awesome to work with, and was very accommodating. Would definitely recommend to any parent looking to entertain teenagers. We cant wait to come back.
Love going here, the guns are realistic and accurate, well worth the $30 especially if you go with friends. Very intense too youll get a full body workout! Staff is great as well, never had any problems. Also the map layout is improved and moved around frequently to fix any exploits people may find.
I was singled out and given an inappropriate gamer tag. After leaving I called the business to express how it made me feel. A lady went on to tell me she was a minority business owner.... I never mention race being an issuse. This woman went on to tell me that others I met there were responsible for my gamer name. She also said it was randomly selected. Its interesting that another persons ticket of whom was purchased under the same account had a regular name. I questioned why anyone who could not provide a credit card, ID, or confirmation could be responsible for having access to create an account on my behalf....she could not answer that concretely. I do feel intentionally insulted by the staff all of whom made several excuses.
Bad night staff was demeaning to my wife. Changed her user name from her name to a comment on when we arrived. Get ready for the most intense game of laser tag in your life! You will be sweating and having a ton of fun. Bring some water and some good friends, youll be sure to have a great time. Ive been here 3 times and I keep improving. The staff is awesome and cheers you on when you feel like giving up. I cant recommend this place enough. Your group of friends will keep saying over and over, we need to do this again! Thanks for a great time MI-Combat!
Great place to have a birthday party for adults. Kids too, of course. We just celebrated a 50th. Everyone loved it so much, we came back two weeks later to celebrate a 30th. Now Im being asked to schedule a game every few months (and we all live an hour away.) The games are great, as well as a great workout. The staff is wonderful! They are attentive from the beginning of the reservation process until the very end. They are extremely friendly as well. We will definitely be back soon.
Excellent overall experience for my son birthday party especially the service. The team at MI Combat were exceptional always attentive and helpful throughout the entire process. I recommend MI Combat to all trust me the kids and adults will enjoy and have an everlasting experience! 5 stars great fun and excellent service. Highly recommended
This facility offers some of the best competitive fun I have ever seen. They offer realistic firearm simulation that is very different from other laser tag. It is very competitive and addicting. This specific location has some of the top ranked players in the world, so you can definitely challenge yourself. Even if your not looking for a challenge, it is super fun either way. And the friendly staffmake it all the better
Hands down the best place to have a great time and burn some energy. I had my son’s birthday gathering there and no detail was missed. It is hard to find an activity for young kids, teens and adults and Mi-Combat checks all of those boxes. If you haven’t played there... you are missing out!
Went yesterday with a group of friends. We had an okay time. It would have been more enjoyable had the staff not been apart of our game. A staff member wearing overalls was rude and of course taking the very seriously when I spent my money to have fun with my friends. I don’t need anyone yelling at me or telling me how to enjoy the money I spent. I doubt we’ll be returning. Having staff members play took the enjoyment out of what was supposed to be a good time. You’ll for sure be sweating because it was a workout so that was a positive.
This place is so dope . If laser tag met call of duty and they had a baby this would be it ! The staff was informative and chill . Guns are true to weight with self reload. You wear a head strap to count head shots. It’s Multiple games played within your session. I was legit running out of breath playing but it was so fun I didn’t care . Great workout ! The playing area is very realistic . Would be a great place to throw a birthday party for anyone. I will be back ! Several times !!
Was excited to go and play with my friends who were inexperienced at this style of game like myself, but the workers were not only rude to my friends and I, but they also had poor attitudes throughout our session. They were also playing in our game when they were not needed and taking our whole team out from the get-go; and these players were also had sports too as many of us witnessed after playing with them. They also put my friends on the wrong team for the duration of the game too. Honestly a disappointing experience overall and probably won’t be coming back anytime soon.
Very cool experience. Played with a mix of kids and adults, everyone was able to participate at the same level and have fun. This is a safe environment with staff supervision. The guns are sturdy and accurate. The facility is clean and the people who work there are extremely friendly. My kid cant wait to go back, nor can I for that matter!
Honestly, the first time my friends said Laser tag, I looked at them and I’m like no I’m not a kid but they ended up convincing me to come and when I say thank god I did, I mean it. It was honestly one of the most fun times I’ve ever had and it’s an actual exercise. If you guys are debating it, just take the chance and come in and talk to Jon.
This place is NO JOKE. BE PREPARED TO SHOOT LIKE YOUR LIFE DEPENDS ON IT! Ive never experienced such a high intensity combat laser tag game. This place is truly one of a kind. I recommend playing here weekly AND getting a group together for the weekend. You will have A BLAST!
The experience as a whole is phenomenal. The field is great. Some of the equipment is in need of being replaced or fixed (Gun Camo#20, as an example). Field could use a few changes occasionally. Not anything big, just move a few things around maybe. Change up the field a little. Some of the rules listed on the game mode page are incorrect or just not used at this particular field. This needs to more clarification, or just change all together. All in all though, we had a lot of fun, and the staff were really helpful. We plan to start coming once a month. Thanks to both the management and the staff for making our night enjoyable.
First time going to MI-Combat was a lot of fun. You get real sweaty moving around and you get shot a lot, but the competitive experience is pleasant. Reloading seems a bit difficult with my gun at least but the 90 minutes of competitive teamplay makes the time fly by.
This place was fantastic - We took our twelve year old twin boys for a night of fun and it was a blast. The warehouse setup was fantastic with lots of hiding places and rooftops. The scopes were dead on and very clear and the guns were heavy and bulky making it far more real and fun. We will definitely go back as it was the best laser guns in the area. Only recommendation is to get a big cooler filled with water and ice and little cups because what a great workout i needed some water between rounds. I know to bring my own water in now!
Absolutely amazing. First time being there. If you like laser tag, paintball, airsoft, etc youll love this. Intense realistic games and tons of fun. Not to mention the price is amazing for what you get. Staff is outstanding and super friendly. I live over an hour away and I will gladly make the drive anytime to go there. Highly recommend 6 out of 5 stars. Unbelievable
Amazing lazertag experience. Went with a group of about 20 adults and we were the only ones in the field. Two teams the whole 90 minutes, but we played about 6 different games. Each game required different strategy so it kept things interesting. Especially running up and down stairs to lookout points, you will get a pretty serious workout. Very cool field. Fun time. Ill definitely be coming back.
The experience itself was a ton of fun! However, I experienced so much difficulty trying to set up our reservation. I called multiple times, even when the store was open, and would either leave a voicemail and never get a call back or the phone would ring incessantly and then go to a voicemail of what seems like a private line. It was very difficult to secure the reservation and I must have called at least 15 times to make this all happen. I also was told that we would be playing with people of a similar age group to our party and when we got there they asked us if we were going to play with other players and we were okay with it however they neglected to tell us that these players were children. So a large group of us adults were paired with kids.In the end it worked out okay, however, I just wish they hadnt told me from the beginning that we would not be paired up with children. All together, I would recommend this place with immense caution and make people aware that they struggle to communicate and it is highly disorganized. Additionally, we were never told what to do with their belongings and just found out by our own searching that there were no lockers and places to store our items (coats, keys, etc). They should make this more aware to people from the very beginning since we had to run out to our cars multiple times to retrieve items that they needed from us (payment, ID, etc). It was a very frustrating beginning experience. At the end, we had fun, however, I will be more reluctant to do this in the future because of how difficult it is to set it up.
Such a great time! I had a private party of 17, used the party room and ordered pizza and MI-Combat provided amazing service every second we were there.I was celebrating a graduation and really appreciated their caring, friendly service. The staff knew about my graduation and everyone congratulated me. I couldn’t recommend MI-Combat anymore, it’s an awesome time for a group or individually!Tips: if you’ve never been there, wear athletic shoes and dress like you’re going to the gym. When you’re playing use the laser sight and you’re allowed to bring a bottle of water into the field.
We scheduled our work party at MI Combat and everyone in attendance had a great time. The staff was very well organized and trained. They were able to help with catering the event with a flexible menu of delicious food. Thank you for a great event! We will be sure to schedule again soon.
Yesterday I brought my brother in law here for some late night fun and had a blast! This was definitely a different experience from all the other so called laser tag places around. The playing field is huge, with multiple levels that provide more hiding spots. The games change every 15 minutes or so to provide even more fun! The staff was very friendly! We will definitely be back frequently! Great job!
This place was AWESOME! I went here with a couple of my friends for one of three birthdays and it was exceptionally amazing. The area where you fight is really cool and you can even go on top levels of the little fake buildings they put up. They even have cars tires and crates for people to hide behind or inside of! I rate this place 10 out of 10 no questions asked!
We just had my sons Bar Mitzvah party at MI-Combat. It turned out great and everyone had a blast. I was concerned that we would waste a lot of time getting everyone registered, but they are very well organized and we were onto the playing field in no time. The staff at MI-Combat was great at every step of the process. They gave us a lot of suggestions of what to do to make a successful party and were extremely helpful the day of the party. We were allowed to bring in our own food which saved us a lot of money and did not limit what we could offer the kids. The kids were in the 11-14 year old range. They all played hard and had big smiles on their faces when they came off the field. We have played laser tag at other places in the past and this was by far the best place we have played. The equipment is state-of-the-art and the field is large and spacious. I would recommend MI-Combat to anyone as a fun party destination.
Not bad. Would have been better if the map layout was a little more well thought out.The far spawn room had a less congested exit with vastly better cover and two buildings right by it. They also have perfect sight lines right into the other spawn. If you are in the spawn room near the entrance you dont have many options and you have to sprint cause otherwise one of the veterans will pick you off as soon as you leave. It helped that we switched sides midway through, but I feel its still not enjoyable when one side has an advantage like that. My suggestion would be to swap the location of the coney and the shipping container. That way the near side spawn at least has a building they can get to right away. Also sometimes felt the guns were jank and not aligned right but that could just be me. Also the reload button would stick from time to time but not a big deal if you have good cover.Otherwise it was pretty enjoyable. I might go back, but probably will stick with paintball and airsoft.
This is a fun twist on Lazer tag with more game modes and a big leap from the Lazer tag I played as a kid. The prices are fair considering how long the play time is and the set up for the arena you get to play in with bases, vehicles, and plenty of obstacles to hide behind. Staff is friendly and the place has always been clean and a safe. Only complaint is some of the staff that play can take it a bit to serious and can ruin a simple fun night out for others by being to aggressive with a simple drop in game. Have been back several times and love being able to track your stats to compare with friends.
That was a TON of fun. Ok so if you like laser tag and/or FPS (first person shooter) games, this place is awesome. Its like a regular laser tag place on steroids. Its much more accurate and realistic. I came here with a large group of people and had a complete and total blast. Game types are similar to what you would find in a game. For example, king of the hill, capture the flag, etc. You get to play like 6 different game types. Price for what you get is acceptable. I think it was like 30 bucks for an hour or so. I facility was clean and the staff was helpful and informative. I will definitely be going back again! Also, just a heads up on a few logistical things... come a few minutes early if youve never been so you can get registered with an account (for stat keeping etc.) Next, you are going to more than likely going to sweat your butt off so you may want to prepare for this accordingly with a change of clothes or something. Youll be thirsty as a result too!! With that being said, theres no place to store anything once you go inside (MI-Combat - lockers would be great!!!) so dont come in with a bag of stuff or it will be sitting out for the next group to see.
Best laser tag ever, if you could even call it that. This is some next level entertainment. The guns are ridiculously accurate and the entire experience feels like its in your control. Whereas regular laser tag feels like a random mess where people can just follow you around or theres little kids who can barely even hold the gun, this is like coordinated combat where your skill and strategy seriously matters. If your worried about being terrible your first time going, dont. You get an 90 straight minutes of play and multiple game modes to refine your strategy.
Had a blast when I was there with friends. super fun games and course the only thing I would try to work on is having lighter guns I personally own real rifles that are bigger and lighter then what they currently use. I do understand it could easily be the components in the guns that make them heavy but I’m sure there is a way to minimize the weight of the guns.
We just played here over the weekend and the staff were wonderful. Were regulars from the ICombat in Madison and Ill have to admit, the hospitality at Mi-Combat was the best Ive seen at all tactical laser tag facilities. Weve tried 8 other laser tag locations and this was our 9th. The field is very large and fun - theres tons of fun spots to go. We thoroughly enjoyed the friendly competition! See you next time!
We had a great time, a lot of first timers including myself. There were 4 regulars who scored 4 times as much as the next best person, but that is to be expected. Everyone was nice on my team, but my friend who got placed on Alpha said most of his team complained the whole time even though they only lost by 1 match. Will definitely be going back, just not sure when. Make sure to stretch first!
I’ve never been to any other laser tags before so I am not sure if all of them are this intense. It is fun to go with friends but it was a bit too much for me. The guns were pretty heavy and the people who were there look like they have been there quite often as they knew their way around. I wasn’t particularly good at it and had a hard time trying to enjoy the game. Don’t get me wrong it was really good but it was not my cup of tea.
Went several times over the holidays while friends and family were visiting. Every time was a blast and ended with everyone asking when were going again. The staff are very friendly and helpful and genuinely want to make sure youre having a good time. Cant recommend enough. If its your first time going I recommend bringing a water bottle!
Steven was such an amazing help with arranging my birthday celebration at MI Combat. He was extremely accommodating and personable and I really appreciate the amazing customer service as well as experience offered at this facility! I definitely recommend MI Combat for your next group gathering!Update: Also, Brad and the owners were absolutely a blessing to our overall experience at MI combat as well! I seriously had the beat birthday party, people are still talking about it!!
First time at MI-Combat with a group of four friends. We had a blast! We ranged from Army veteran to female model and everybody enjoyed their experience. The staff were very friendly and accomodating. They explained the creation of your player account, equipment use, game play, and were there to answer any questions you had. They were fun to be around and seemed to enjoy the experience as much as the players.
I have played a lot of laser tag, this place is really cool. Their arena is big and has lots of cool buildings. They also had a lot of interesting games. The reason I gave three stars is I didnt have fun playing. You can die very quickly, after 2 hits for most games. The arena is so dark you cant see other players. I spent more time running to the respawn than actually playing. I was also not given any instructions (To be fair my group was about 10 minutes late).
It was fun! I bought a 90 minute session that was scheduled to start at 7:30. The large group started gearing up at 7:35. We were walking to our car at 8:47 pm. No where near 90 minutes. We found loading up the guns every so many shots was cumbersome. The games were fun but resulted in a lot of time where you were unable to play because you died.
First experience wasn’t great. We had a group of 7 going in and we were told we’d be put on the same team, which turned out to be a lie. 5/7 of our players had equipment failure. It’s so hot my sister in law had an asthma attack and it was handled terribly, they wanted to just push her out so they could start the next game. The staff started playing as well but they didn’t have to go back to respawn half the time, I wish I brought my phone so I could show all the cheating they did, they would camp out even before the game started and the employees trapped both teams in the spawn zones multiple times. Employees also yelled at us for ducking and jogging but they could full out sprint, slide across the floor, climb on things... everyone in my party agrees we wouldn’t come back unless we have enough people to cover both team so the employees can’t play because they were complete jerks. They ruined the experience for everyone and why would we blow a couple hundred to just have the staff pick on us?
My group did a private lockout session and MI Combat was there every step of the way to help with planning and set up. They are amazing, not only is the game extremely fun already (Ive already gone a few times) but since I started asking about bringing in my group, they were always great at responding and making suggestions. Everyone had a great time. Thank you MI Combat!
This is not your traditional laser tag. Do not come in sweatshirts have a t-shirt long pants and gym shoes because you will sweat. The guns have weight to them you and you have to reload like a real gun. There are missions you can do like Blackhawk down. Is probably good to go with the big group so theres not a lot of employees playing with you.
Was a big fan of this place before my previous visit. When I arrived with my group of 4, we found out that some employees were going to play with us. I had a buddy visiting from NYC who had never done anything like this before so I was very excited to share this place / experience with him. Me and my 4 buddies were teamed up with a bunch of 13 year old kids, which was no problem to us, until we realized 4 employees hopped on the other team... They absolutely feasted on us the entire time. We couldnt even last 2 seconds out of the respawn zone because the employees knew all the camp spots and just dumped fire onto the spawn non stop. It was absolutely the worst experience ever. The employee who watched over our game was absolutely terrible at his job ( bigger kid , brown hair and glasses). The one employee we got on our team ( yes we only had 1 to their 3-4 ) was named tofur. He was absolutely amazing, not only at the game , but just as a person in general. He actually sympathized with our situation and felt bad. The employee who was monitoring our team however , was a huge jerk, saying they have the same guns you have and basically mocking us the whole time. This event costs 30$ and it was an absolute waste of money. Ill never be coming back here in fear that I might show up and have to play against employees who have done this 1000 times. Where did it say I was going to have to play against employees when I signed up? There were only 4 open slots so its not like we didnt have a large group and needed people to fill in to make it fair. The fact that once the employees saw it was a bunch of kids and their dads and decided to hop on the opposite team and feast on us was a disgrace. Spawn camping in the same spot every single round for the duration of each round.... There were times we would not even make it 5 steps out of the spawn and all of us were dead . This would happens 4-5 deaths in a row. Clearly this place is run by people who just want to boost their stupid personal ranks and stats against amateurs. Total joke, my guest was super disappointed and it put a huge damper on the night. Couldnt shake the feeling that we were absolutely taken advantage of and the employees didnt care at all. After the first game we voiced our concerns and we were met with rude remarks from the employee with the glasses ( who also refused to give me his name once he knew I was going to leave a negative review ) . This was also a small going away party for myself as Im moving to Pittsburgh In a few days. Huge disappointment. I hyped this place up to my siblings with children and now Im going to have to share with them how poorly this place is managed. I would have given it 0 stars if that was possible . Thankfully I have a very large social media following who I will be able to warn about this place.
This place is awesome! My wife & I went here to do something out of the ordinary for our 2nd anniversary, and John & the crew at MI-Combat went out of their way to make our day absolutely amazing! Awesome gear, great urban combat layout, and a ton of fun! A big Thank You to the MI-Combat team!!
The spawn camping is unreal here. Unless you are sprinting full speed out of spawn (which is against the rules) you will get hit immediately. The layout or the spawn invincibility needs to change (increase from 3 to 6 seconds maybe.) I had fun because I was with friends, but being shot the second you respawn sucked the fun away.
Grade A staff. Everyone took the time to make us feel welcome. The gentleman who answered the phone addressed all questions and concerns with utmost professionalism. Upon arrival, another staff member gave us an impromptu tour of the battlefield. My son is hearing impaired, the young woman who was our team leader noticed this and stopped on many occasions to ensure he received all pertinent gameplay info. These staff together created on of the best and most welcoming experiences I could have ever expected.
A ton of fun and a great workout. I will be coming back for more and trying to get other friends to join me. The combat area can feel a bit small after your initial play, but with the many different play styles sometimes you need to be close to a base. I just need some more cardio so I can last the whole time without feeling winded.
Went here yesterday with a few friends and sad to say that a bunch of employees and very skilled players decided to stack one team to make it pretty unfair and not fun for a lot of people who are just trying to have a good time with their friends. It was my first time playing laser tag and there was no margin of error in order for me to learn. I remember being 13 and doing this on counter strike with my friends, not as an adult playing against casuals and children who pay money to play.Topher was the only saving grace of the night. He was super friendly and helpful, and even during frustration would just try to be of assistance. I give Topher a ten out of ten.Not only that but the reload mechanism on my gun definitely needed to be taken apart and greased. It took way too much fiddling around and jamming to get it to work with the actual reload mechanism physically jamming multiple times. When I said Id like a new gun I was told it was fine and that it was already adjusted once.I have no problem with employees and skilled players wanting to play, but I expect veterans, employees, and adults to be cognizant enough to understand that a fun and fair playing experience for everyone is more important than boosting your own personal rank and numbers.Oh and also, there needs to be more line of sight protection in the spawn areas. The janky three second immunity is not sufficient in protecting people from being the victim of spawn camping and blind firing.
This place is amazing! I went for my first time ever last week with a group of friends, and we all left with big smiles and cant wait to go back. One thing I definitely love is the first responder discount. As an EMT, its really nice to have something offered! The guns feel real, the experience is definitely worth every penny! The referees also do an amazing job. I had an incident where a girl was talking to her teammates after I killed her. this cost us the game. I immediately told the referee and the situation was handled tactfully and promptly. I also love that you can track your stats and badges online! Some things that I would recommend some tweaking on is that we were playing a Monster hunter mode. I noticed that even when the monsters were dead, they could still look at you and kill you. This is probably just a glitch. but I would die after I killed a monster a few times. I would also probably make the damage slightly higher. I noticed sometimes that I would get hit in the chest only once or I would hit someone in the chest once and they would die almost immediately. So just as more of a challenge, and to prevent running to back to respawning a bunch, I would raise the damage just slightly.Other than that, this place is amazing! It is worth every penny and your afternoon!
We went on the Saturday after Thanksgiving with a group of 14 people. We heard good things and the website really hyped up the aesthetic of a realistic laser tag experience. Our group of 14 immediately got split up into a group of 10 and 4. Our group of 10 just happened to get the #3 and #1 players in the state our other group of 4 got stuck with a family with little children on our team along with some highschoolers. They should have split people up in their party evenly or at least ask us if we wanted to be on the same team. I was on the team without the best players in the state and we got destroyed for 90 minutes. They tried to balance the teams by splitting up the best players, but our guy just got mad that we kept losing and gave up. They constantly got 50 kills a match while everyone else would get around 10 only if you played very well. The spawn rooms are insanely broken and the sightlines reach the spawn so you could sit in your spawn and just camp the other teams spawn. This is what the best players in the state did the whole time. They need to add cover near the spawn so you can actually move instead of getting spawn killed. You get invincibility for 3 seconds but that wasnt enough to even sprint to cover without getting spawn killed. The map was really bad and the cover was non existent. The far side away from the entrance is the better area to spawn because the buildings and cover are 10x better. The referees didnt really explain the objectives too well as in black hawk down nobody on our team knew what to do. In the end it wasnt fun because our team lost so bad every match even when they tried to balance teams. The guns were a positive as they were realistic with a easy to see sight, decent weight, and slight vibration when you fired. The reloading mechanic wasnt the best, but it worked. The teams were separated into black and camo. Its almost impossible to tell what team you are on because only the headband is a different color, everyone wears the same colored vest. Why not make the headbands red vs blue so its easy to see your opponents? Its a great concept but unfortunately the layout of the arena holds it back along with the unbalanced teams. We wont be going back unless it was for free or a discount.
MI Combat went out of their way to create a perfect birthday party for my son. They were very accommodating of our needs and really went the extra mile to ensure we had a great experience right from the telephonic booking assistance on the phone, to providing a fun digital invitation through to the event itself. The kids had a fabulous time and I know we will return.
This place is fantastic! The staff are incredibly helpful, and the actual facility is really creatively laid out. Definitely throw your old preconceived notions of early 2000’s, “Lazer Tag” out the window when coming here. It’s nothing like those fog machine, plywood mazes, we all grew so accustomed to, and bored with. This is like playing a video game in real life! Also, be ready break a sweat! It’s a workout!
OMG!! So much fun had by all!!!! These guys made a “kids” game into a realistic, fun “adult” game! Didn’t know how it would go having my sons “21st” bday there with a bunch of friends & family, but I can’t stress enough how perfect it was!! Definitely go....it’s so worth it!!
I would give mi combat 5 stars but I can’t help but felt favoritism to regulars when I see them slipping the employees money to get on the roster in a full game. I love the set up and the staff is very chill and nice. My biggest problem is the regulars that camp and then proceed to swear and yell at people that eliminate them. It would be wrong of me not to say something about this. I’ve been going more often and these are just a few things that I do not find fair. The one person I noticed a major amount of favoritism from was stolhousecooki I believe it was. The past several games they were just camping and sitting in corners killing people and then they got eliminated they would start swearing and cussing at whoever eliminated them.
Non-stop for 45 min, and friendly staff. Prepare to be constantly on the move, fast action, 5 min per game with a few minutes in between. Expect to learn during the first game - pull the trigger all the way, listen for the gun firing, and when you dont hear it any more, reload.
Its fun when the equipment works, which is never. The guns always break, then the employees dont believe you when you ask for help. I had yet another bad experience recently, where they started the session 30 minutes late & then cut it short. Never going back, waste of my money.
I was a former Army vet ( infantry) with what I would consider a respectable amount of time and knowledge in combat/training/ or Milsim activity. With that said I was unfortunately Very disappointed in my experience today. There site is very misleading in my opinion. They claim to be a Milsim style laser tag Arena. But the lasers are very inaccurate the vests dont register hits half the time. Multiple members of my party where shot through walls and the guns failed to reload at times. The actual playing arena is not 12,000 square feet as advertised. And there health/ life system is broken. If you are tagged by a laser you become invulnerable in that moment and for a brief second or two after making follow up shots pointless. As well as it gives players the ability to relocate to better cover all the while having the the ability to tag you back. Obviously not realistic and can make for some frustrating moments when you have the drop on a opponent. If your looking for a better laser tag game then your local Chucky cheese than this is the place to go. But if you want to actually compete in a arena based off of skill/tactics stick to Milsim airsoft/paintball. All in all fun for kids and young teens. Staff was great and very accommodating but this is Not fun and not worth the money for anyone who is a true Milsim player or a vet looking for a good/realistic experience. Still a good place for what it is. Just a tad overhyped and some false advertising plus all the technical issues is why I rated this a 1 out of 5.
I planned this as one of the activites for my Husbands 40th Birthday...the guys had a blast! Steve, one of the managers there was very helpful in making sure our needs were met. As a wife, you want to make sure you hit the nail on the head in planning activities for men lol. Steve was very helpful and assured me the guys would enjoy themselves. Well they did! I will definitely be a returning customer, and I shared our experiences with others as well. Hopefully more customers will come your way as a result.

2022-02-03We had a blast! We went go-karting, axe throwing, and did the virtual reality games. We wish the lines werent so long, but we had a fabulous time. It was definitely worth the money to buy an adrenaline 2 hour pass. Steven ingo karts, was awesome, as was Charlie at the virtual reality station. They were both extremely friendly, professional, courteous and very helpful. They didnt mind answering my curious 12 year old sons questions, and took care of us, as well as the other people there. They really stood out as fantastic employees, and I hope that their manager reads this, and lets them know how much we appreciated their service.

2022-03-07I had an absolute blast here! The instructor(s) gave a thorough explanation on everything - from the gear to equipment to how to play a new game at the beginning of each session. You can easily access your status (as well as your teammates status) throughout each game as well. It was my first time here tonight and while I clearly need a lot more practice, I had such a good time! I would definitely recommend this place (:

Carrying a realistic replica with red dot. This is the best laser tag ive ever played and everyone i bring has a blast. worth the money because you get so much play time. The staff is great, friendly and very helpful. Get after it!

2022-01-30My husband and I have been here about 4 times now. If you are looking for a fun active game to play with friends or even kids (would suggest about 10 years old). The staff is great, and we have so much fun everytime! We even drive from Grand Rapids to play.

2022-04-04Pretty fun place! Wish they would disinfect their gear and also offer lockers for phones and other items you don’t want on your person or in your car. Other than that, HIGHLY RECOMMEND!:) This was my first time here and my friend and I arrived late and I didn’t understand anything. The instructor told me I could get hit on my headband and vest, and also how to reload the gun, and that’s it. I knew nothing but I quickly figured it out. Had a blast even though my gun stopped working halfway through, I had fun trying and that was my goal. Don’t wear makeup, you will sweat lol. If you’re given a glittery headband, that’s all me🤣
