My son had an amazing time at camp. This was his first time at a week long camp. His counselors Ike and Cameron were just simply amazing. He has a gluten allergy and they went above and beyond in accommodating it. He did paintball, horseback riding, tubing and much more. Will definitely be back next year. Glad we have this hidden gem so nearby.

I have been going to this Christian camp since I was a kid and now my kids are attending. The community there is great, the staff are amazing, the setting is beautiful, and the activities are lots of fun. The family retreats are awesome and of course summer camp is a blast.

We send our 8 year old daughter here for their summer camp earlier this year and hasnt stopped talking about it since. She says its the best week shes ever had in her life! We joined her one evening for dinner and everyone was nice and helpful. The prayer times and studies have made a positive impact on her and of course she enjoyed the fun stuff too. Thanks MCYC!

My high school Girl Scout troop spent a weekend at Michigan Christian Youth Camp and they had a great time. The staff was very friendly and food was amazing...fresh fruits and vegetables with every meal. There is so much to do there. The Girl Scouts cant wait to go back.

MCYC is a special place! It has a great atmosphere overlooking the lake: rustic, but not roughing it. There are plenty of activities to choose from, including horseback riding and paintball. Try archery tag if youve never before! The food at the lodge is great—much better than stereotypical camp food! The staff is very helpful and well trained to make sure your experience is a great one.

I used to come here when I was just a kid and have many fond memories of this place. My Grandma who was a VERY active member of the Church of Christ would pay each year for me to come here. Looking back now I’m assuming that gift had something to do with her being less then thrilled with the job my mom and stepfather were doing in keeping god an active part in my life.Fast forward 30yrs. to the present day and there’s not much I can honestly offer in regards to a review that describes this place now. Instead I’ll just say that as an adult, how much I appreciate my grandma for her gift each and every year and how the memories of this place have formed deep roots within me. I was abused, didn’t trust anyone(and still don’t) and had a lot of pain buildup inside of me and coming here was the first place where I started learning how to manage that pain without having to inflicting it on others which I could do very well. Even though my religious views never blossomed the way my grandma would’ve wished, I will say by her sending me to this camp it was the earliest defining point in my life that prevented me from complete self destruction because it was the first place where I saw people actually cared about me that didn’t have to. It’s very true what they say about the importance of reaching out as soon as possible to our troubled youth and how great of an impact it can have when you do and I feel I’m proof of that.

Overall: Expensive and poor service. We rented MCYC for its facilities and pretty much overpaid for dirty buildings, contaminated fishing, and limited access to those same facilities. The staff seemed so busy setting up for their summer camp we felt neglected and in the way.If you have a small party and you are there for the activities, your experience will probably be much better.Advice:Make sure you ask if the lake has been treated/is clean.Bring extra toilet paper and cleaning supplies.
