I walked in to have my car just looked at a possibility fixed. They couldnt do it becuase they were too busy and under staffed completely understand. Made an appointment for the following week for in the morning. So day of the appointment I got there to be told you can leave it and we will get to it this afternoon. ( im a single parent and the only one who is able tp transport children so my vehicle is a need. Then was told I had cars come in over night so I have to get those done so what was the point of me making a appointment after asking the guy to give me a time that works best with his schedule. I will never go back and do not recommend. Wish I could give it zero stars. Unprofessional and rude!!
Came in for a typical tune up as a new customer, left with a safer car and as a new regular.I scheduled a late appointment thinking it was just going to be a quick maintenance visit but the guys found a severe problem with my front brakes, urging it had to be replaced ASAP. Considering it was already past closing, I was going to tell them to just finish maintenance and Ill come another time but they offered to replace them right then, genuinely looking out for my safety as they took me into the garage to show.They were very friendly, bantered with me while they did the job and closed shop, finished quickly too.
I went to Monro’s in Canton because I was referred there. For me that was a 45 minute drive to get a repair on my daughter’s vehicle. I have to admit I was a little skeptical after making the appointment. I was getting an exhaust repair which has a wide range of prices and driving that far with the condition of her car left me beholden to whatever they told me. I have to say I was impressed from the moment I stepped foot inside what was probably the cleanest repair shop I’ve been in, bathroom included. I was greeted by the owner/manager Manny. He was very friendly and down to earth like we knew each other for years. This made me feel a little more comfortable but I was still unsure what my repair would cost for my 16 year old daughter, who was with me. Manny was very kind to her as well. We waited in the very clean lobby for them to pull the car in and take a look at what we were looking at as to the repair. Within about 10 minutes or so they had diagnosed the problem, showed me the issue, explained the repair, and quoted me a price, which was amazing by the way. He told me it would only take about a half hour, which also was surprising to me. During my wait, my daughter and I had a very pleasant conversation with Manny. The car was ready in the time they said it would be, which is another plus. We paid our bill and went on our merry way. I would HIGHLY recommend Monro’s of Canton and will be using their services in the future, even with the drive it’s worth it.
Manny will take great care of you and your car. Impressed with how fast they returned my car. The service isn’t cheap but you get your car back quick. Cheaper than renting a car for a few days. Had my rotors replaced and brake shoes, came back after a few weeks since I was hearing noise. Manny fixed it at no extra cost to me.
Hi everyone. I want to tell you about the great experience I had at Monro Auto Service in Canton. I have an older Toyota that is sometimes difficult to find parts for. Manny and the guys were able to reasonably find a workaround and get the truck fixed --fast. They also noticed that there were some sizable cracks in my drive belts. They were able to change these as well at a reasonable price and all in the same day. Well done guys! I will definitely be returning, as will many of my family and friends.
First and foremost they were were honest with the work that needed to be done and work that could wait for a layer date instead of just trying to sell it to me all at once and that is rare I feel like now days. As a business owner it was important that I had my vehicle in the morning and the gentleman said I will personally make sure it is done even if we have stay open late this has been the best experience I have had taking a vehicle in for any type of work, they have made a reoccurring customer out of me
Typically do my own routine maintenance (brakes, oil change, tune-up, etc) ran into an issue, stopped in to Monro and talked with Manny (Manager) told him the situation and he gave me a few options. Dropped off the vehicle early evening, got a callback first thing in the morning the vehicle was ready to go.Watched him (Manny) interact with a few other customers and hes very personable and didnt sell me anything. Was only a small job but would use them again in the future and would recommend them to others.
First time customer and I couldn’t have been more pleased with my experience! Staff was great even stayed open a few minuets later so I could bring in my truck and drop off my keys at the end of the day. They also went above and beyond doing the alignment on my lifted truck and got it riding perfect. Very knowledgeable shop and great prices! Thanks Monro Auto.
Manny and everyone at Monro are so helpful and honest. Their prices are well matched or better than most estimates I have received. Manny never over promises and under delivers, he gives reasonable expectations and usually meets or exceeds them. He is a joy to work with. If for no other reason (and there are plenty of good things to say) Manny stands out as the top reason for referring Monro.
We have always been very very happy with the result when we take our car repairs to Monro. The prices are very good, they give us honest input, and tell us if we are not needing a repair. We have actually had our car towed from another repair place to Monro because their prices and honesty were so much better than other places. Thank you for the work you do.
The service was quick-and he didn’t charge me. I waited for less than an hour, and I didn’t know what was wrong. My tires are doing great now too, they made sure the air in all the tires was 34 and that there were no leaks. Overall, the service was good and I would recommend it to someone else.
Manny is the real deal! He is very knowledgeable with great communication skills. I went there for the first time for an oil change and I have become a customer 🙂. First day I went there, he told me - 3 things I can promise you 1)Ill find the problem 2) Ill tell you the problem and 3) Ill fix the problem. I may have missed the order in which he said it but what more does one look for in auto service. If youre looking for someone to tell you the truth about your car, not price gouge you, an honest person with integrity, someone who knows his stuff and someone who will try HIS BEST for your car, then get into your car, drive to Monro on Ford rd, ask for Manny, and youre all set!
I recently purchased a used vehicle and was researching shops to have it checked out at. After reading tons of great reviews on Monro Auto Service and Tires I decided to check them out for myself! Manny took GREAT care of my car in a ridiculously timely manner, I was shocked! He was even extremely kind enough to cut down some pricing for me due to the amount of work that needed to be done on a car I JUST bought. 11/10 would recommend Manny and his team for all your vehicles needs 👍🏻
I been doing my car service at Monro for few years and everytime I come here Manny always sets an exceptional customer service standards and treat us very well. I came this morning, I was in a hurry due to my daughters birthday plans but Manny took it on himself and completed the work so quickly. Manny deserves triple bonus and this is the best place and quality work.

I have lived in the canton area for about 5 years, 4 of which wasted on mediocre, unknowledgeable auto shops. Places that view you as a paycheck rather than a person. I finally had enough and started looking. Monroe came across my search and after reading about 50 reviews I decided to give them a shot.I am yet another happy Monroe customer. This place has never, yes you read that right, never let me down. I really appreciate how upfront the manager is. Some reviews said he was too blunt, perhaps he is but he is honest and extremely knowledgeable. He informs you of the vehicle issues and leaves it to you to decide if you’d like to proceed. He doesn’t BS you like most auto shops. He finds deals for you, and does his very best to ensure you will be a returning customer.Finally I can not say enough about the mechanics and staff. The are extremely knowledgeable, professional, friendly and give you quality service. They show you the parts that were replaced and answer any questions you have.If you live in the Canton area and are not going to Monroe, then you are letting the very best in auto service shops pass you by. Honestly just trying to call and get service is unpleasant. The man on the phone complains about the service he’s asked to look into or cover every time. Second time calling after regrettably taking it in the first time and I’m not going to make the mistake again of the unpleasant service this place offers.
I went to this store get flat tire fixed and it was great experience. I reached there 1.5 hours before closing time and Manny pulled all the strings to get the tires replaced in that time.I ended up replacing tires as they had almost 60K miles on them. They offer wide range of services and felt very trustworthy.It was great experience overall. I do recommend this store if you ever need your car serviced.
Trustworthy, customer focused and quality work.I went in this morning to get a grinding noise resolved on my rear passenger side brakes. Come to find out that due to the Michigan weather, the sliders on my calipers were seized, causing the brake pads to lock up against the rotor. Needed to get it replaced. Manny took me back to show me what happened. Gave me the price and I accepted. They finished the work and explained how I need my brakes inspected twice per year. Appreciated the straight forward approach, unlike other shops Ive been to in the area.I work in the service industry and know that earning trust is the key. These guys did that for me and I will be going back there for future service and repairs.Thank you.
After replacing shocks and struts myself on my Wifes vehicle I brought it to the Canton Ford Rd Monro for a front end alignment and tire rotate/balance based on the many positive reviews. Manny seemed a bit gruff at first, but I think he was trying to gauge whether I actually needed the service I was asking for. The vehicle was still tracking straight and not pulling when I brought it in, so he said maybe I got lucky guessing on the alignment when I installed the struts. I was only guessing it why I brought it in for an alignment. Brian took the car for a test drive and then put it up on the lift and he and Manny both looked it over. Manny told me everything looked great and he wouldnt change the alignment or rotate the tires yet. I asked what I owed him and he said just leave a review (sorry it took so long) and leave Brian a tip if I wanted. I did and left them with handshakes and thankyous for their honesty.Another gentleman came in while I was waiting asking if they could replace his coolant level sensor because he kept having to add coolant after having it flushed somewhere else. Manny asked a number of questions and determined the other shop didnt take the time to burp the air out of the system and told him how to do it himself instead of bringing the car in and trying to make a buck off him.Good job guys. If I could give ZERO stars I would !!! I had a tire issue come to find out there was a nail in the tire. They fixed the tire and that wasnt the issue my problem was when I got home and looked over the multipoint inspection. They claimed to have checked my brakes and said I had good pad life left on them.... But I had the oil change and tire rotation done not even 2 weeks ago and the Honda dealer said I needed brakes immediately and even showed me how low the pad life was on them. I just feel like if youre not really going to look at something than mark on the paperwork that it wasnt inspected. In my eyes its bad service and dangerous.
Quoted me for $37 on a synthetic blend oil change then when I took my car the next day he told me it would be $75 for a SYNTHETIC BLEND?! There are plenty of other good places in the area. The guy at the front was also very aggravated at the fact that I didn’t fall for his scam.
I walked into this repair shop to a pleasant surprise, the staff was knowledgeable and made me feel right at home, they check out my car and fixed it, the price was great and the service was exceptional. Because of Manny I will be a customer from now on. What a great person, Im thankful for you help today. I went to Monro today for the first time and both Manny and Lee were very kind and took the time to talk to me about my cars brakes. I constantly come here for repairs as I worked nearby for about two years. I confidently can assure that Manny is honest and a man of action, who ensures your car is in top shape. He will personally show you the problem in the shop and gives you some proffesional advice. After a few repairs, my car os well-maintained and runs-like-nee through the years. I highly recommend this place.
I needed some work done on my wifes car, we took it to a different shop only to find out the people including the manager were a bunch of scalawags. They tried to swindle us out of thousands of dollars. I wanted a second opinion. By great luck we found Monro Tire in Canton. I have to say we are glad we did. Manny, Brian and the crew are everything you want in a quality auto shop. They are honest, fair, and to the point. If your vehicle needs something you can take them at their word. The time Manny took to explain what the problem was made my wife feel comfortable unlike most auto shops. What Manny found wrong with my wifes car wasnt even what the other auto shop said it was. I dont trust a lot of people touching anything on my wifes or my vehicles due to past experiences, but please believe anything our vehicles need I will be taking it to Monro Tire in Canton. Manny, Brian and the rest of the crew keep the good work up and thank you!
I was going to give 3 stars, But after looking at the verbiage and what I was charged for, I wish I could give zero and a size 13 up the manager.Simple dismount, dismount and Mount, balance and disposal.He charges me double, and lifetime protection on a set of used tires.This place of ran by a crook. And they will never have my business out my companies business or my employees business or my families business AGAIN.EXCEPT FOR WHEN I COME TO CLAIM MY LIFE TIME TIRE ROTATIONS. BUT I’LL HAVE TO CHECK MY LUG NUTS EACH TIME, as he seems like that kinda guy.

I Had Went There Recently For Them To Help Diagnose Some Issues With My 2015 Silverado & Received Great Treatment & Solutions. Specifically Assistant Manager Brian M. Went for an oil change and regret it big time. Firstly, the guy in charge was super rude and had a mean attitude without reason. Everyone has bad days, but shouldn’t be dealing with people like that. Secondly, needed another oil change within weeks of getting it from here. Went to a different place and they said the oil was very black and the filter hadn’t been changed by Monro. Waste of money and time.
I hardly leave any reviews, but I just had to explain my experience. Not only was this a last minute appointment, but these guys were open on a holiday. From the moment they picked up the phone they were nothing but courteous, understanding and professional. As a woman, I have many experiences where auto repair places treated me horrible. NOT MONRO! They were awesome! They took care of my car right away, and explained everything and why it needed to be done. Their prices were also very fair. I definitely recommend this to anyone in need of repairs.
Had to get my car towed to the closest auto shop, Brian was amazing from the moment I called until I left their parking lot. I had a belt break due to an oil leak, they got my car looked at and fixed the same day. Definitely coming back because this is the best experience I had at any auto shop.

I called and spoke with the manager Manny. He was extremely helpful is trying to troubleshoot my disabled Uncle’s car in case he didn’t need to bring it in. My Uncle did need a new sensor, and as promised had my Uncle in and out! He treated my disabled Uncle with complete respect and kindness! This company has new customers in us for life!! I’ve been going to this Monro for my oil changes and other maintenance for the last 2.5 years. Manny is great! He remembers his customers and makes sure they understand issues with the car. Him and his team take the time to explain and show you what they’re talking about. If something doesn’t need to be taken care of right away, Manny is honest about it and stands behind the service.
It is always hard trusting people when it comes to giving you a true estimate on something you are not to familiar with. When it comes to getting your car fixed always in the back of your head is the question will I get ripped off? My friend had referred me to this shop and specifically a guy named Manuel. The first question he asked me was if I had planned on keeping my car for the extended future. I said yes, and we got right into inspecting my vehicle. I needed both rear struts replaced. The cool thing is at this shop he did not waste my time telling me I needed this that and the other. He told me exactly what I needed, gave me minor suggestions for the future. The day I called he had my car in and out in roughly five hours. My car drives very smooth and I was happy with the level of professionalism he and his crew had. Soooo fast forward two weeks later my front breaks are grinding terribly. Called the shop back up and same level of consistency, polite, honest and a good job done in a reasonable amount of time! I would highly recommend Manuel and his crew to give you an honest inspection and a job well done!
Overall best auto place that is apart of the Monroe franchise. He actually spent time and showed me the parts and explained ok if the dealer is saying something general this is what it means. Showed me the parts and now i can see what parts needed to be replaced and why the cost for the service and the parts. Would recommend for everyone to go to here!
In the past two weeks I had my brakes done they were truly bad. Then my car was leaking fluid I brought it back even though Manny was is on vacation the shop ran well as if he were there. Seth was a new person I met and he was just as friendly along with Brian they fixed the problem yes it was a faulty cap.Then days later I smelled something burning and knew ugh I need to get a new car but still cannot afford one. It was too early as I drove to work and knew something was wrong as the car started to overheat on the highway I wasn’t going to make it. So I got off at exit 25 pulled into Monro left the car with a note and key because I knew when the guys got in they would take care of it. As I was getting into my ride Brian pulled up I yelled out the key is in the car yes I’m back and he said no worries we will look at and take care of it and call you. I made it to work on time. Seth n Bryan called me I had a cracked radiator which is why fluid spilled out. But yet again they were able to get my car up and running the same day. It was done before I got off work. Now that is reliable service.I am a loyal customer for life and recommend Monro on Ford Rd in Canton to all my friends and family. I need a new car but until I can get one I can assure you without hesitation Monro has my service and now my son has a car they have his as well.Thank you for your dedication and service.
Was in town for work and thought I had some issues with my brakes . I met with Manny who was very helpful . Took only about a hour for them to call me and let me know that the car had no issues.Brakes, rotors, lines etc were perfectly fine and said my family did a good job on the install. It was nice to talk to a mechanic that didnt try to sell you something you dont need or ask for. They were very nice and easy to work with , will definitely recommend to family and friends .
I had a great experience at monro canton. I was referred to them by the ferndale location, I drive cross town and I was not disappointed. Manny and Brian made me feel welcomed and comfortable and made sure I KNEW what I was getting done to my car and why it needed to be done. I needed a lot of things changed and replaced in my car since I barely took care it lol but they got my parts and hooked it up for me as well all in a matter of a day or so. My car is running superbly...feels like a brand new car honestly. I highly highly recommend this shop. Customer service on point, the work done was outstanding.. I actually have HEAT in my car! And LIGHTS! Thank y’all so much..I will definitely be back but not too soon ;)
Manny is hands down one of the most genuine ppl you can meet in the automotive business. Not only is he fair but honest. He has not only fixed vehicles but also educated me on the maintenance after the fact. That type of one on one customer service is rare in todays world. I highly recommend Manny and his staff to anyone who is looking for routine maintenance to high skilled automotive work Manny and his staff are hands down my pick. First time at this shop I was impressed with the timeliness and industry of the manager and mechanics. They physically showed me the problems with my car, explained the repair pros and cons thoroughly, and were forthright with cost and time it would take to fix. Like some other places, I never felt they were out for extra repair items, but honestly wanted me to know what was important to take care of. I will be back.
Me and my husband just brought our car up here to get it checked out and he saved my familys lives. He is very fair and works with you. Manny is the best he is friendly, nice and honest. I decided to put details in this review because my experience sticks with me and I always drive pass this place. Been at this location 3 times and the other location on Wayne and Ford once(very friendly there). My fourth and final time was here. Paid them, car was not fixed, they didn’t know what was wrong. I didn’t have 800 more dollars for an experimental fix. Picked my car up took it to C.A.R.S Automotive on Wayne rd in Wayne. My thermostat was not put on correctly. Called Monro customer service for a refund or partial. Since I paid to have a problem resolved and it wasn’t. AND Monro apparently didn’t know the issue AND installed the part incorrectly.Theresa at the corporate office was VERY rude and nasty. Don’t do it, lesson learned.
Service was excellent. After looking at my car, the staff was able to provide in-depth knowledge about the repair required and they discovered an issue from a previous repair. Both were completed within the day of dropping off the vehicle. Advice was given for future maintenance of the vehicle. Additionally, another issue was discovered with the car and I was given a candid response that it was not required at this time but to be aware of it and was given no pressure to have it done immediately. All service/feedback felt friendly, honest, and helpful. I instantly noticed a difference in the car after repair.

Manny greeted me and asked how he could help upon my entering his clean and orderly waiting area. I had purchased my tires (and his service) through Amazon. My tires had mistakenly been delivered to the Discount Tires garage located next door to Munro.Thankfully, Manny wasn’t too busy and we had time to deal with the mistake made (and frustration caused) by the delivery person AND Discount Tire for not simply reading the (clearly marked) address label and not signing for the tires.Once the Discount Tire employee carried my tires to Munro (Thank you!!), Manny’s serviceman had my new tires mounted and I was ready to go within the hour.I will return to Manny’s Munro for continued service to my vehicle(s).Thank you so much.Sincerely, Andrea Adams
I was having trouble finding a tire to fit my car, as the ones on it are an unusual size. Manny called around and found one, ordered it and got it in the next day. Even though they were dealing with staffing issues, due to the pandemic and a power outage, due to weather, they got my car in and back on the road within 48 hours of my call looking for a tire! Manny also advised an oil change, which I did. He also caught a ball joint that needs replacing and scheduled the work for me. Staff was pleasant and helpful. Id definitely recommend!

This was the best customer service for auto repair that I have ever experienced! First off, they provide a free brake inspection. Makes sense because it is always best to give a quote based on the actual work that needs to be done. A dealership would have charged a fee just for an inspection. They provided complimentary shuttle service to my home while I waited on my quote. Then, they explained the very serious issues that my brake system had. I had no doubt that this was the best quote, especially given the work that needed to be done. Upon completion, the team showed me the problematic parts to assure me that they had replaced them. The location was very clean and accessible. Ask for Manny. He will take great care of you!
First time going here, and honestly Im gonna go back for anything my car needs. Manny(manuel) was very helpful, personable and informative. Dropped my car off in the morning to have the exhaust fixed and it was done by that same afternoon. Manny even gave me a sheet of paper telling me what my car might need fixed next, I have a 20 y/o car so its great to know that so I had plan ahead.
I have taken my car here ever since I found this gem 7 months ago. Manny is professional and knowledgeable and always tells me what the issue is, and what is recommended to be fixed. Nothing more and nothing less, this shop is trustworthy. I came in with an exhaust issue, and within 30 minutes of dropping my car off, Manny called me to discuss the issue and what needed to be fixed. I was made aware about my front struts needing to be replaced. In the same phone call I was quoted a price and gave consent for the issues to be fixed. 4 1/2 later my car was ready, and upon pick up I was made aware that the struts being made for my car did not fit. They had to be sent back twice till they were done right. However, the price I was quoted on the phone was the price I paid regardless of what it cost to keep getting the struts made to fit. Manny is a stand up mechanic and always tells me the truth, no matter the cost! Haha! But seriously, if you need a great shop the Manny and Monro is your last and only Place!
If you’re a mechanic give them a call they need help! They gave professional customer service. I’ve never gone to any Monro service station, so this was my first visit. I’m not knowledgeable about automobiles, and when they explained things they didn’t talk down to me or just tell me what I needed/couldn’t have done because of current issues. This is one of the best experiences I have ever had with an auto shop and will definitely use them in the future. I dropped my vehicle off and it was being worked in before I even left and took less than two hours. The prices are fair and they did not try to make me buy things I did not need. I came into the store mid day asking for an uncommon tire and with hopes of a quick turn around to get back on the road. The employees quickly got in contact with their other store that had them in stock and went and picked them up and installed in very quick timing. Tires are smooth and they did an amazing job helping me out!

Professional service and honest staff. Manny took my car on short notice and got it fixed within 3 hours. He also called me before they started making the repairs so I could decide on what I can afford. I ended up getting about 50% of what was recommended with no issue - most places will give you a ton of pushback..not Monro! Highly recommend.
Had a wonderful experienceI went there for an alignment. After test driving my car they said I didnt need one. I asked a few other questions all were negative. He checked the air filter and it was very dirty, changed that and I was done. The shop was very clean also the bathroom. Found someone honest to take care of my car. Today is my birthday, l am a senior lady 75 years old today I have never been to a shop where they didnt fix or pretend to fix something. God bless you Manny. There are still still some honest and good people in this world.
Went in with a pocket full of cash to get my car tuned up and a tire changed before it gets to deep in the rainy season walked in said I needed a new tire told the guy my year make and model and he explained there are a few different sizes instead of getting out the chair to go check my size tread depth and probably get me to buy the whole set of tires i went out to get my own size I asked how much for the tune up he proceeded to give me ball park prices instead of once again going outside to see what engine I have and give me an estimate I had to go outside to check the size of my tires so with the lack of customer service I went elsewhere where they explained that I had sidewall cracks in some other tires so they will start loosing air soon and explained the price of the tires and I got them all replaced and got a good recommendation on where to get my tune up at and it was cheaper than what the monro guy randomly estimated but I guess that’s why discount tire right next to them has a full lot and they don’t

Went to the trouble to set up an appointment for 12:30 on a Wednesday for a simple oil change. They accepted and confirmed that this would work via their website. Showed up and wasn’t helped for 10 minutes. When I finally was helped I was told it would be an hour wait since they were behind. I can’t speak to their work cause I left, but an hour wait for an oil change that I had an appointment for is ridiculous.
Had to take my Honda Civic in on Saturday because the brake light was on. Haven’t had the best experiences with mechanics so I decided to try Monro Auto. Cannot say enough good things about this place. Go see Manny, he will explain everything in a way that’s easy to understand, and he’ll tell you if it’s something even worth fixing or not. I received a courtesy inspection and was treated very well. Manny was very nice and positive even with my bad attitude (Do to my experience elsewhere). The man who inspected my car, showed me what he was looking at and gave his feedback. Everyone was pleasant and I really appreciated it.

They found so many issues with my car that I didnt know I had and they were nothing but honest with me. I have a new baby and its nice to know I have a reliable set of guys right down the street that I can trust. Monro was great! Took my car in for an alignment, they were extremely friendly, honest and very fair with the price. I called back with questions and talked to Manny and he was very helpful and very polite. I ended up having a bad wheel bearing and there were some issues with the aftermarket part and the OEM part. Manny worked on it for 3 days and found the issue and made sure he got it fixed and got me back on the road as soon as possible. He stuck to the estimate he gave me and never gave up on fixing the issue. I would definitely recommend monro to anyone and I would absolutely go back with any other issue I have. Thanks again guys!

Clean shop, comfortable waiting area, you can see you car being worked on, friendly, and accommodating staff. I came in for a front-end alignment. They had the most up to date Jim Bean machine. Tom worked with me and he was very knowledgeable about alignments and many other car repair components which really surprised me. He was also engaging, easy to talk to, and looked for every opportunity to save me money. I think I just found a new car repair shop!
Always extremely reliable. We get all 3 of our cars serviced there consistently and they are always very clear on what exactly is wrong with the vehicle and when would be the best time to get it fixed. They even have us wait sometimes for servicing the car to save us money! Would definitely recommend as your reliable car servicing provider.
I went to Monro auto on Ford Rd in Canton to get brakes on my car today! I had googled a place to go and Monro had a very good rating! I now know why! When I spoke to them after they inspected my vehicle and I was told there was nothing wrong with my brakes and that my car was in great shape! Wow! I asked him to still do a tire rotation! When I came back to pick up my car there was no charge! He told me he already had the tires off for the inspection! I thanked him repeatedly for everything and especially for being so honest! I’m a woman that knows nothing about cars... he could have told me anything! Manny Martinez is the manger there and the gentleman that helped me today... and, earned my business in the future! I have now had several cars worked on at Monro Muffler Brake & Service in Canton, Michigan. The shop is very impressive with updated equipment and its cleanliness. Even the lifts are being replaced with new ones. If a company is investing in the latest equipment, you can be sure that they will only hire quality employees who are capable of handling the job. They do not have good costumer care, even they do not accept their mistakes. I had installed all rotors and brake pads on my own but they were not fixed properly and I visted them to fix them in proper manner and rectify the problem that What I did. These guys rectified the problem and according to them they have fixed it and charges me couple of hundred dollars. After one day, I realized that there is a burning smell arising from my left rear rotor and I again visited them and asked them to have a look. Firstly, they were showing me angerness and they were too rude. After my humble request they have driven the car and asked me to change the brake caliper and gave me a huge amount of quote. Long story short, the problem was not in a brake caliper, problem was in brake pads as There was a piece of rubber that has been taken out from the another mechanic who is located in Westland and now my car is doing well.
When my car wouldnt go into reverse, at first I went with the name brand and took my Ford into the Midas just two buildings over since I had such a great connection with my Midas in my home town. They were extremely rude and gave me an estimate I didnt trust, so after flushing a little vore $100 for them to test drive it and fill up some fluid, I decided to get a second opinion at Monro.Manny and Tom were both incredibly professional, super helpful and great at communicating what was going on with our car at all times - even showing me the issue. Manny asked if I had had any work done recently, asked about a crack on the front of my car that I didnt notice and it clicked suddenly that the problem I was having must be due to a crash earlier in the year when the car was so covered in snow that I didnt notice the damage. Had it not been for him taking the time to show me the damage and ask me some questions about it, I would have ended up having to pay out of pocket but since my car is under full coverage, I was able to coordinate with my insurance and have the repairs paid for through them. Not only that, but it was $300 less than Midas estimate!After we got the car back, we noticed the AC wasnt blowing as cold as it was before so I called and brought her back in. It was a super simple fix, some kind of tear preventing the air from circulating properly, and not only did I get the car back in an hour but they stood behind their work and didnt charge me anything for it. Im really glad I decided to go with my gut and get a second opinion and have already recommended this shop to a coworker. These guys will definitely do what is right by you instead of trying to make a quick buck.
My window would not roll up on my car the day we received pouring rain.I was a damsel in distress, but no worries, Manny got my car right in and diagnosed the issue within the hour. Gave a fair price, great place for women to get their car serviced without getting taken for a ride. Would definitely recommend Manny and the guys over at Monro in Canton.
My sister referred me to Monro and I am so happy I took my car to this shop. Before I went to Monro, I took my car to the dealership where I bought my car and they were going to charge me $150 just to look at it and I said forget it. However, the manager at Monro said that he was going to charge me to assess the problem and that was music to my ears. Originally, I thought that I needed to replace my transmission. Fortunately, I was wrong. When I described the loud noise my car was making, the manager was able to tell me the problem without looking at car and sure enough he was right. He said that I needed my front bearing hub replaced, which is way cheaper than replacing a transmission and he quoted me the cost. When I researched the approximate cost, Monro did not deviate from it and I knew this was a reputable company and that the manager was not trying to take advantage of me by being a women. The manager also educated me about my tires and he said that I had too much air, which would result in my replacing tires more frequently. Also, he offered to rotate my tires for free. Im not the type of person who write reviews, however, I felt compelled to write this one because I appreciate the service and the managers honesty. Therefore, I highly recommend this shop.
My experiences at Monro Auto in Canton, MI were horrible. The service center manager does not offer good customer service and I cannot trust my vehicle with them. I originally took my car there the end of June for a loud rattling noise coming from the exhaust. After several days, the service center manager called me and said 2 of the 3 catalytic converters were clogged so he would have to replace those, along with 2 sensors, and the exhaust manifold; the cost totaling just short of $1,500. At this point, I trusted what he had to say and approved the work. I picked my car up, and shortly after the noise was back. So I called back and made another appointment to come back in, brought my invoice (which was very vague in nature of the work he did) and explained that the noise was still there. After a few days (of figuring out how to get to work and back with no car of my own) he called me and said the sound I was hearing was from an engine rod knock. Mind you, this is the exact same noise I was hearing before that he said was from the clogged catalytic converters and bad manifold... Hearing that, all trust was lost in this guy because I had just paid him a large amount of money to fix my car and he didnt do it. And now he is telling me the same noise I was hearing before will cost me an ENGINE!! Hearing the words You will need to replace the engine or turn in your car for a new one, it is only a matter of time before the engine blows up was not exactly comforting. After getting a second opinion about the whole matter, I visited the manager again, but he was not so pleasant. I had video evidence that it was not my engine, but the noise in fact was coming from the exhaust. His response to the video (in a defensive and irrational tone) was that he couldnt even tell if that was my car or who was looking at it, and so on. He demanded that before he would do anything else with my car that I had to take it to a dealership and have them look at it to verify the evidence I was showing him. Luckily for me, I have some wonderful friends that work at a Ford dealership not too far away and they were more than willing to do this for me. Sure enough, they verified the noise was not from the engine, but was coming from somewhere in the exhaust system. They also confirmed that my car has 1 catalytic converter, not 3. So previously when he had said he replaced 2 of the 3 converters: that statement was clearly incorrect. All of this just to show me that these men at Monro Auto in Canton, MI cannot be trusted and are not as knowledgeable about cars as they say they are. And they will take advantage of people who dont know a lot about cars to persuade them into service that may not even need to be done. The problem has since been fully resolved. The noise was a result of an improperly placed heat shield.
I am a 20 year old female who knows absolutely nothing about cars. Originally, I took my car to Kia in canton and they tried to take advantage of me. Feeling frustrated, I stopped at Monro Muffler on my way home and Manny and his team were nothing but great. Manny took me out to my car to explain everything to me and told me everything I need to know about my car and getting an oil change. He gave me an awesome price and gave me advice on what to do and how to know when someone is trying to rip you off. What an awesome experience I had at this clean, welcoming auto repair center. I was looking for an oil change for my 2014 Volkswagon Passat. Most places did not have the oil filter in stock or wanted outrageous prices for a 6 quart synthetic oil change . Prices elsewhere were anywhere from 120to 150 dollars. I was greeted by the Manager, Manny Martinez and quoted 78 dollars for the oil change and that they had my oil filter in stock! I also had front brakes and rotors replaced. The customer service was great! I was promised that the repairs would be completed by 6:00 pm. Well the work started about 4:00 pm and the work was completed by 5:30 pm. Exceptional customer service and value for the services performed. The man that sits at the front is rude. Everytime he said something to me it was with an attitude. Didn’t appreciate that and he even had the audacity to tell me to leave him a good google review as I left. I needed my tire serviced and I was told it would take an hour. Not that it would be an hour until they could get to my car. I heard clearly so when I was waiting and told that it would be a few hours I was very confused. I won’t ever be back to this place. He needs to work on his customer service skills!

Had an instant exhaust issue on a Friday afternoon. A competitor (right next door) promised a return call within 30 minutes. I did not hear from them so I called Monro and I am glad I did. I spoke with Manny (great guy, very personable) and dropped off my F-150 that same night on my way home so they could look at it first thing Sat morning. They had the diagnosis to me by 9am Sat morning with a fair price for a simple cracked pipe. Repair was completed by 10:30am on Saturday and I was on my was. NOTE: I did finally receive a callback from the competitor 4 HOURS after I left the message and when told I went somewhere else after not hearing back in 30 minute as promised they could care less.Monro/Manny = Great Customer Service and QualityCompetitor = Complete FAIL...go to Monro for sure.
Positive experience. My car has had oil changes here many times. Always good service in a timely fashion. Friendly and knowledgeable. I had other auto difficulties occur shortly after an oil change. They took a look at it and made a suggestion of the possible cause stating further investigation was needed. Also suggested that the problem might be covered by warranty. I had a muffler and a fuel filler installed on my Jeep. Manny was very professional and helpful he made sure I was comfortable and informed in every step while I waited, Chuck the mechanic who did the work on my Jeep did a awesome job. I came in 10 minutes before close needing a new tire AND on a time crunch. Manny and his guys found a good replacement tire, switched it over, and had me cashed out in 25 minutes. Monro Canton treats their customers like their own family and I appreciate the honesty and care they put into the business day in and day out.
I had been going to this pla f for a solid year and had pretty decent service, up until this past Saturday. I got an oil change and was told my tire rod needed to be replaced. Okay, fair enough let’s get it looked at. Manny, the manager gave me a quote and buttered it up as if he was doing me a favor with discounts and better parts for less. I work in the automotive industry and I know how much parts are. The part I need is roughly $30-$60 and he quotes me $220 for the part alone, plus another $100 for a half hour of labor. The repair was going to cost me $320. I am glad I knew what I was looking at and found Belle Tire down the street can do it all for $120. Montoya has lost a very loyal customer and his friends because they pulled this.

Manny is a hero. My car had been giving me some cranking trouble lately and I had him take a look at it. He ran some tests and didnt find anything odd so I figured maybe it was the harshness of the Michigan winter draining my battery. He didnt try to upsell me anything else, he simply told me to come back if things got worse. The next day, my car died on the side of the road. I gave him a call and he went out of his way to swing by and jump it for me. Turns out my alternator crapped out on me and it needed a new one. I left the car with him but he kept me updated and in control of every step of the process. Long story short, my car is alive and kicking thanks to him. Great customer service, very straight forward and easy to work with. I highly recommend Monro and if you go there, ask for Manny. Ill be back for some new tires soon!

Went to Discount Tire and they could not get my locking lug nuts off even though it was them who put them on. Went next door to Monro and Manny at the Canton location had them off within an hour!! He also rotated my tires free of charge even though I didnt ask him to.!! I highly recommend the Canton Monro location! They have professionals working there not a bunch of teenagers slinging tires!

I went to Monro Auto Service in Canton Nov 8th to have a tire repaired (right rear) when the tire was repaired, another problem was found with a different tire and the Manager told the tech to fix it. He did when i went to pay my bill, I was told there was NO BILL, WHAT???!!! Who ever heard of an auto repair shop doing anything for FREE!!! The manager Manny Martinez told me there is no charge for tire repair. I was flabbergasted, this shop has won my loyalty!!!! My daughter had trouble with her A/C and car overheating and it was a finicky type of situation . Monro of Canton was very patient and went above and beyond to get the issue fixed. We have both used them before and will continue to use them for our car service needs.
Five hundred miles from home and still trying to get there, we showed up with a slowly leaking tire and the work bays already busy with customers. Manny found time to get our tire a look, found an embedded nail and had it fixed in less than an hour. Terrific personal attention.
I literally popped into Monro with my new rear brakes sitting in my passenger seat. I was greeted by Manny after entering a very clean lobby. Not only were my brakes changed, but Manny also showed me where the noise was coming from on the front passenger side of my car, AND what I should do about it. I initially thought this noise was coming from a strut. Turns out the noise is probably coming from the swaybar links from our wonderful Michigan roads, as Manny stated. My family, and I have always trusted Manny with our vehicles for years now. My brother indicated, after having a lot of work done to his work truck at Monro, that Manny was now in Canton. I highly recommend Monro to anyone that has car issues, needs car maintenance or even a question about your vehicle. Very unsatisfactory service. I work at a neighboring business and wanted to stay local with my repairs. I was experiencing front end issues and paid for a front strut repair. My print out after service was complete, showed my vehicles breaks in the Green and stating they were in good working order.Drove less than 50 miles before my car had zero break pressure and almost got in an accident. Contacted management and was told that’s a normal occurrence and needs another repair. Stay away from here if you want Honest Mechanics. & Don’t expect good service either.
After buying two tires at the Westland location less than less than 2 weeks later one of the tires had a hole in it outside of the tread and it could not be fixed Westland not only refused to replace it but did not even offer a refund and at the time of purchase did not give me a warranty. I took it to Manny, he called over to Westland location to see what they would do about the situation, after he realized they werent going to do anything he went on ahead and got me a new tire, put it on, placed my spare in its proper location, and gave me a warranty, and I was out a there in 10 minutes. The customer service is excellent. I will never take my vehicle to the Westland location again. I will only use the Canton location. If you want bad service go to Westland, if you want good service go to Canton there really is a difference.
Very poor business and service. For starters, I use to work there. I quit because of the poor management, way they treat their employees; particularly the technicians which I was one of, and pay. The current store manager Manny, is a low dishonest individual who will lie and cheat you just to get your money. I caught him several times lying to customers and would tell him thats not true/right and correct it as it happened. So he learned not to do it when I was around. Secondly, he would take money out of the cash drawer for himself and even keep tips that were given for the techs, and put it in his pocket. Happened to me and other techs working there. He also lies because when people that know me came in after I chose to quit, he told them I was fired which was not true. He also says this about others who worked there before him that I know quit as well and were never fired. (Which this is actually illegal for him to say and lie when in the same business and has potential for a law suit) So, he lies to try and keep business which in return is not working for him because once I find out if those customers havent called me, I let them know and will guide them else where for good, proper and honest work. Out of the two techs who work there, only one has certifications. Those certifications are only in brakes, and steering/suspension. So this shop is not equipped with proper mechanics nor legal to work on vehicles if it is not a brake or steering/suspension issue. All you have to do is ask to see the mechanics certification which has to be in a legal visible location for all to see. Manny is a dishonest lier and the company knows of wrongful doings happening there and the higher management was told multiple times by others and it was swept under the rug. If you look on Monro sites for the employee reviews, youll see their are very negative honest reviews from previous employees that tell you what really is happening. I would not get you vehicles serviced at any of these locations. And for the reviews, majority of them are his close friends who either keep making similar reviews to help falsify and make the reviews look good, and keep randomly making reviews. You can get better service for a better price elsewhere. STAY AWAY!!!!!
Friday afternoon the rear breaks started to make some noise. Sunday I decided to have it done ASAP and was able to get an appointment for Monday noon. They have been very friendly and professional and only replaced what had to be done. Luckily they had the parts for my not so common car were on stock also. Some 1.5 hours later I was back on the road with a safe car. I fully recommend this Monro shop on Ford Rd and am happy to come again for future service needs.
First time there went in on Mon and made my appt with many. For wensday at 10 went to drop it off and I meet Brian. Very friendly and professional I left and he called me like 45 min later told me the problem was my to tierods witch I had replace 2 yrs ago anyway that another story told Brian to go ahead and replace them and put front shocks on which he did the whole job was like 3hrs and the price was right thank you guys for taking care of my truck you have my furture buzz. My SUV needed some TLC, it had an exhaust leak along with a clicking on the right front. I brought it to Monro to have it checked. Manny called me later to let me know what it needed. He explained everything to me and what would need to be fixed and what would need attention in the future. I live just down the street from one location and drive out to the Canton location because I trust Manny. My whole family trust Manny, we followed him from Speedy, and will continue to do business with him no matter where he is. I truly believe that he has the safety of his customers as his priority.
Have taken a Lexus & Jaguar to them. They know what they are doing and can be trusted to be fair & timely. Fast, friendly, and complete maintenance on one and a free brake & tire inspection at no charge on the other without any suggestions for unneeded service. Ill be back when in need of tires.
Horrible!!!! I went there today to get an oil change and the guy behind the counter took FOREVER. I stood at the counter and waited at least 10 minutes for him to compete a previous transaction. When he saw that I was getting frustrated, then he started for my information. Remind you, no one was in the shop waiting so, there shouldnt have been a wait. I started to give him my info and then he asked for my license plate number and email address. I was like, Sir, all I need is an oil change. I left after he ran outside to get my plate number. I dont feel thats important for a doggone oil change. Dont even think about going to this place. I cant see how they received such a high rate. These individuals must be family members. Smdh.
I had a great experience. They were fast and friendly. They were also reasonable with prices. They did not try and up sell me. They only told me what I should keep an eye on and I definitely plan on going back. If you have any car issues I highly recommend you going and checking them out.
On the way to Canton today I hit a pot hole and the next thing I know my car is making a horrible sound. I pulled in at 5:30 to see if they could offer any advice on what to do. I hated to do that because they closed at 6 and I didnt want to hold them up but I live two hours away and didnt want to break down on the side of the road. The store manager came out and took a look and delivered the bad news. My muffler broke apart and had started to rust through. They didnt have the parts in stock. He pulled it up on the rack to look at it better and they made a suggestion that would give me a temporary and safe fix for the ride home. They were so helpful that if I could have stayed in the area to have them fix it, I would have. I felt they went above and beyond! Thank you so much!
Had to take my 2002 Camry in on Saturday because the noise from rare back. Cannot say enough good things about this place. Go see Manny, he and his colleague took driving test and left car for checking. they are very careful and professional to take multipions check. Thank you very much!

2022-05-26My first time taking a vehicle to this business. Was extremely impressed with the people here. Manny was very helpful in reviewing with me the repairs needed. The repairs were more numerous than we expected but Manny called and asked that I come back to the shop where he showed me the issues. He provided a very reasonable estimate but also cautioned against putting more money into this older vehicle. We decided to replace the vehicle instead of doing the repairs. Even though this meant lost revenue to the shop Manny was very supportive. I will certainly take my future business here.

2022-05-18Came in to have a new muffler put on my Ram. This was my first time here, but I found my go to auto shop from here on out. Manny was exceptional, he got me in same day, I had to drop it off for a few hours but I expected that. Great experience from honest trust worthy people, that’s all anyone wants and unlike some other auto shops, honest, trustworthy work is what you get here. I will definitely be a returning customer.

2022-05-28I brought my ‘66 Mustang to Manny at Monro for an exhaust leak based on a recommendation. Not only did he fix the problem very quickly, he did without a major repair that I had been told would be needed. Further he graciously added air to all tires and tightened up a trans oil pan gasket that was weeping. I was very impressed with their work and will definitely go back in the future.

2022-05-15My wife was in dire need of 2 new front tires while being in town for a softball tournament. She called this place and the manager, Manny, told her he would squeeze her in to get her tires replaced. When she arrived, there was an inventory error and they didnt have her tire size in stock. Manny made an immediate decision to drive to a different location and get her the tires she needed. We were also on a tight time schedule between games, and he got her vehicle done right away. Manny exemplified the highest level of customer service to ensure we were taken care of. If there was a Monro tire near me, that would be my first choice going forward because of the level of service he delivered.

2022-07-07A coworker recommended the place so I took my car there for some engine work even though it’s about 3-4 miles from my place and I had to walk home. They got everything done in about 24 hours even though they were busy and I told them I didn’t need it back right away. Would highly recommend. Ask for Manny. Honest guy.

2022-04-07I have been to a few tire repair center now and this has to be one of the worst service experiences in my life. One of my rear tires on my vehicle was torn by the mechanic beyond repair. They replaced the torn tire with a new one. Normally that would be okay but since my vehicle is a rear wheel drive, there is now a significant tire tread difference between my rear tires. And since tires should be replaced in pairs, I either have to suffer all the negative effects of tires with different tread depths or I have to pay for a new tire to avoid these effects. Either way, I am paying and suffering for no fault of my own. I recommend finding any other tire service centers which are competent and that dont damage your tires.

2022-06-11Went to Monro on Ford Rd to get a tire with a slow leak fixed. The tire was not patchable, but they did put the spare on free of charge. Also, they reconnected a muffler bracket, also free of charge. I highly recommend them. Talk to Manny! He was great!

2022-03-17OUTSTANDING SERVICE!!! Quoted me a reasonable price for my service, but find out the real cause. Didn’t upcharge me or anything. Even pulled me onto the floor to see of another very minor issue my car was having. Quick fix. Again, Excellent customer service, will be going there again
