Cheap motel, shady management was told if didnt take out trash and clean room when we checkout they would charge our card 150.00.since when does a hotel require that doesnt my 95 bucks a night cover the housekeeper taking out the trash in the morning. Save your money reproof inn is more affordable, has better hospitality and 2 pets stay for free dont risk staying here and getting ripped off
They do overcharge just because of the area. Too the front didn’t want to move us after we spent $75+ on a room that the TV had lines in it. No kind of cable. N my shower would Not drain to be moved to another room that had the same issues, watch out you don’t step in dog $hit! Christ. $300/wk you wonder how all these stays can even afford to keep staying here. Do have vending machines and there staff can be kind but some of the others are super slow and not very polite at all. I don’t think I would recommend this place. Pretty ghetto for the price if you ask me. Cops are always rolling through tho which can be a good thing.
The staff was perfectly nice, but I had to check out in like an hour because I didnt feel safe. I dont want to give more details because Im truly afraid. Just be careful of your personal safety there and mindful of your surroundings. The receptionist agreed to just glance over to my room every now and then to make sure I was safe which was very nice of them, so its really not the staffs fault for any of it
If your passing thru and just need a place to sleep then its not so bad. But if your in for a weekly stay longer and like to eat hot food amd keep your beverages cold then Id look elsewhere. They have no mini fridge nor microwave which is crazy cuz Ive seen even the cheaper of crack motels that accommodation to those two very basic items. Staff was very friendly tho. Also dont even attempt to overload washer cuz youll just end up spending more money having to rehash two loads.
The rooms are actually very clean and dont smell dank or moldy which is nice. The bathrooms are okay, things need to be repaired but dont appear to be broken. The staff are extremely nice. The lights and outlets and key readers didnt all work though. Theres some angry people in the area who were fighting at like midnight. A domestic dispute it sounded like. Other than that a good clean place to stay for a decent price. Will repeat.
Room smelled like heavy smoke, all the lights didnt work, tv didnt work and door did not close properly. I asked for my money back due to the condition of the room and safety issue with the door. Was denied a refund even though I was there less than 10 minutes and was given a room where the door didnt lock. Please do yourself a favor and NEVER come here. Gave off strong human trafficking vibes.

I was not very happy with my stay. Room had a dingy smell to it. The room cleanliness made me feel unsafe or at risk of a covid 19 infection. I slept poorly due do the conditions. Bed was warn out and it was a waste of money.
Its cheap and it was a roof over my head, but Id reserved a room with a microwave and refrigerator. When I arrived they said all the microwaves had been taken out of the rooms for fire hazard. (isnt the point of microwaves that they are not fire hazards?) and the fridge didnt work. The carpet felt filthy on my bare feet and I had to wash them before I put my shoes back on (no, I am not compulsive) and the bed covers had stains/dirt on them. Other than that, the room was very clean. The cleaning staff did not arrive on Monday which was disappointing. The key often did not work. It had a very weak charge. It would be nice if the lights by the bed were reflecting sitting warm (yellow) light instead of jarring cold (blue) light. It was a relatively quiet place and with these corrections would be well worth the price.
I came to this location to rent a room at around 3:30pm on Sunday. Right outside the office, there was a large group of riff raff smoking, drinking and being loud. There were 2 huge dogs roaming around unleashed. As soon as I pulled into a parking spot, one of the men from the group, hurriedly wheeled over to my car in his wheelchair and started yelling through my window asking me for cigarettes. He seemed extremely drunk. Both dogs ran over with him. I was not about to get out of my car or even roll my window down. I immediately left. This motel is extremely unsafe and seems more like a homeless shelter than a motel.
Where do I start with this travesty...I stayed in room 146. It has a leaking water problem around the air conditioner with previous significant water damage already. The floor was saturated after it rained. I guess it is a plus they had hardwood floors.I asked for a mobile accessible room and their idea of a handicap room was to put a chair in the shower. Not just any chair, but this one (see below). I never felt bad about being handicapped until I came here to this room.The bed was not mounted to the wall, as well. I did not enjoy turning over and mattress coming off the boxspring.The shower head and water pressure was the highlight of the room. The smoke detector is hanging off the wall. Thank God no bugs. I did not want to go through the work of finding another room because Im moving this week.Do better and Im going to make sure you do because Im calling the ADA rep and building inspector.

I was very disappointed to see that this hotel has gone down in quality so much. I had trouble checking in - they tried to give me a room that didnt have what I had reserved (a fridge for my medicine and a queen bed). Then the only room available was a double with a fridge. The room had spots all over it where it clearly hadnt been cleaned. The air conditioner couldnt cool the room and looked like it hadnt been cleaned or maintained in years. The stairs were rickety and had garbage all over them. Everything was extremely run down. One of the worst Motel 6s Ive ever stayed in.The sad part is, Ive stayed at this hotel within the last 10 years and I dont ever recall it being this bad. I was very disappointed.
The front desk staff were friendly and helpful. The room floor was vinyl plank which was not cleaned properly. The flooring had residue from cleaning solution remaining on it. I found three dead bugs under the sheet on the bed. The bathroom, while old, was clean. The television worked fine. The A/C unit did not work well. Even on high it failed to completely cool the room. Parking was adequate. There were no security issues. The laundry facilities met expectations.
Room was fine, but the floor was not real clean - I always wear socks rather than going barefoot in a public room and my white socks were dirty on the bottom after walking around the room.The TV had several white vertical lines going thru the picture on ALL channels (TV issue, not just on one channel).I do like the Motel 6 pet policy, I have 2 well-behaved dogs which is why I stay at Motel 6.
Tv does not work neither does the heater... towels are dingy so are sheets...rooms are dirty and so are walk ways and parking lots...
The first room i was given was 240. It smelled so bad like body oder and cigarettes. The phone didnt work and there was human waste on the back of the toilet. I was moved to room 221 when i complained. The sink in this room was very clogged abd when i called about this a maintenance guy was sent up. He was unprofessional a d all he did was take the stop out so now i couldnt stop the water in the sink. I will NEVER go back here.
When I arrived and got into my room it was filthy...the pillows had been disturbed like someone had been on the bed. I asked them to clean the floor and he did but it wasnt any better than it was before. I had to wash my feet whenever I went anywhere. The shower looked like it hasnt been cleaned in a very long time. I put towels on the floor because it was dirty after my son and my shower. When I wiped up the floor the towels showed how much dirt was on the floor. This has been the worst stay I have ever had here. The staff was rude when I asked if I could get clean sheets; they said I would have to pay $10 for me to change my sheets!!! So ridiculous!!!

The manager with whom I checked in on arrival and the clerk with whom I checked out were attentive and helpful, especially on check in when I discovered that our room would be on the second floor. My wife needs a wheelchair, so the stairs would be a problem. He found a room on the first floor that worked out just fine. (Perhaps the search field in Expedia should provide for such contingencies? Just a thought.)The property, or at least the room we occupied sees due for renovation. But it was clean, safe, and well maintained.
Could use a lot of updating have stayed in rooms for $45.00 a night that were work 100 compared to this place. Bathroom was absolutely discusting. Toliet had a black ring around it like it hasnt been cleaned in months shower had a still had the last persons hair covering the bottom. Found dead ants in our bedding as well. T.v in room did not work. And the bed was so old you could feel and hear the springs every move you made. Will never stay in another motel 6 again. Would rather of slept in my car for free.
Luckily I got a room as this place has turned into a homeless encampment of sorts. With lots of people taking advantage of the weekly rate special instead of paying for renting a home or an apartment. As far as a room to stay for a night or two its CHEAP CHEAP CHEAP! If you dont need all the frills of a regular hotel and just want a place to lay your head then this is the place for you
I have never complained about a hotel, but this one is worthy. We were told there would be a microwave and a refrigerator. We did not get a microwave and the fridge had mold in it. There was garbage underneath the beds and brown liquid in both trash cans below the trash bag. We had to run the shower on the hottest water setting and it was not hot. The drain was slow and the tub filled up with water during the shower. One light had a faulty switch, so the bulb was loose in order to turn it off; we took the bulb out and left it on the counter because of the fire risk with their solution to turn off the light. We almost left around midnight, upon discovering all of these things, but didnt want to find another hotel that late. We cancelled our next two days immediately in the morning and our complaints were seemingly ignored. It was nowhere near worth the $52 per night, and we wish we had left that night and slept in our car.
There were only two good parts of our stay #1 the staff #2 the price. When we first arrived we went into the washroom to find a used condom in the garbage, dirt in all corners, the door did not shut properly, the lock was broken. Noisy area . The price was right but will pay more next time to stay elsewhere.
I have stayed in about 15 Motel6’s by now and this was the worst of all. Very unclean. Oldest appliances. Booked for 4 guests, there was just 1 towel and 2 soaps. Beds very small and dirty. Old bedsheets. Definitely wouldn’t recommend.
This motel was not good. The room smelled of sour mop water that we smelled all night. The sheet were dirty which when s person pulls back their sheets and hair and other things are on it you know its not clean. If I had not had my elderly mother with me i would have said forget the money paid and drive back 4 hours home. The room was clean is best part of this room.It like a place for transients. Sorry if it sounds bad but the area you would think it would be nice but areas are deceiving.
This place is gross. It smells and is run down. My first room had a tub that takes 1 hour to drain and the ac never worked. I switched rooms and the fridge smelled like someone puked in it. The ac doesnt work. I pulled off the front and there was no filter. The grill was solid filled with nasty brown stuff. The guy in the office basically said sorry about your luck. So I had to scrape it off. So gross.After 2 nasty rooms where nothing worked they still never offered a discount or refund. Great service.
For a non smoking room, there had definitely been smokers in there repeatedly. When turning bathroom fan on, it smelled strongly like marijuana. Bath mat (which was neatly folded and appearing to be unused) was soaked, along with bathroom floor when we got there. Trash was left in cans. Hairs in the shower and toilet. Could feel every spring on the mattress. Slept in clothing, disguting room. Cops circle the parking lot too.
Do not stay here, it has been the single worst experience in my life of traveling.Vending machines dont work half the time, staff was rude short answered and never a smile on their faces always had a scowl look.Had to get rid of 2 spiders out of the room (wolf and a brown recluse). If you stay here never take off your socks or slippers the floor was dirty had to wash my feet, looked like I walked around outside, found a clump of hair in the fresh bedding. Had a reservation and couldnt get our room for 45 mins and then had to wait another 20 mins untill their computers decided to work. We checked out and decided to sleep in our vehicle
This place was decent some years ago, but it is horrible now. The bathroom was dirty toilet seat was soft plastic, crack, stained with the foam exposed. NASTY! plumbing was disgraceful. Sink leaked and poor water pressure. Toilet loud. The heat did not work until I had to take the front cover off and reset it. The desk staff was not much help. I would give this place a minus O. They could do better if it looked like they cared. It was a last resort. Just BAD!
One of the worst motels Ive stayed in. The floor was laminate, which would be fine, but it had not been mopped and was filthy. The shower walls had hair all over it as did the tub. The first washcloth I picked up was full of hair woven into it. We got back after the first day at about 9:30 p.m., the bed wasnt made, the floors werent even swept, the shower and bathroom werent cleaned--we had a stack of new towels. There isnt even a coffee pot in the room or an alarm clock. Never again.
This place is a dump. I stayed here for a week while I was going through a remodel at my home.The guy in the room next to me left 2 dogs in his room that barked all day long, he also let them poop right in front of the room on the gravel. He left the poop for everyone to step in and smell (thanks). Many other patrons seem to be living there for years. As they have bbq’s and beer drinking parties nightly. The police presence here is very heavy, they must know something the patrons do not. They drive through the parking lot twice a hour.The room is nasty, and the bed is even worse. The toilet wasn’t clean, and there was hairs all over the shower when I first walked in. After complaining, and basically arguing with the staff, they finally did a half hearted cleaning of the room.I wouldn’t recommend this motel to my worst enemy. It literally the worst place I have ever stayed at.
The room was filthy and smelled horribly of smoke. The bed was warped and looked to be from the 70s. There was only one set of towels.Staff were very apologetic, but advised us that none of the other rooms would be any better.. We stayed only because we were completely exhausted after travelling from Canada, but left first thing in the morning to find other accommodations.
I usually stay here when the weather is bad because its close to my job. Rooms are usually clean but watch the staff because they will try to over charge you. On the Motel6 website the rate for a queen size room was $44.99 plus tax($49.25 with tax)..I went to pay for another night and she tried to charge me $60. How is it legal to charge higher than the rate posted on the company site? I had to reserve again online to get the listed rate and it made me late for work.....
The double room was disgustingly dirty. Bugger and potty smears on wall. Dirty sheets. They moved us over to a second double, but it was also dirty. Mold on bathroom ceiling which set off allergies and long black hair on the beds. When complained to desk on the morning we were told she was not the manager so can not help you. I tried to reach the manager, but was unable to find a viable phone number. Called the 800 number and explained to guest relations. I am currently waiting to hear back from someone regarding reimbursement for this room. I would not recommend this motel 6 to anyone.
It was pretty quiet and clean. It did have a smell to the room but nothing extremely strong. The room could use the walls and ceiling cleaned better but the beds were very comfortable. Overall it was good
The showerheads need to be cleaned and reafixed for better coverage and heat. Also the pillows were too soft and the ac/heater barely kept the cold out. Improvements are needed.
DISGUSTING...Terrible and seedy motel. Filthy room (151). Floor was sticky. Beds were HORRIBLY uncomfortable. Bugs and spiders everywhere. The room smelled awful. Door was broken and safety latch was ripped off the door as if the police had made recent friendly visit. Door was knocked on several times through the night by ladies asking for random names.Paid for two nights upon check in and checked out promptly the next morning.Will NEVER stay here again... EVER!!!
Plenty of pillows, soft beds, house keeping comes everyday, vending machines, atms, washer and dryer to clean clothes, descent customer service and reasonable prices. I got two rooms for me and my boyf4and the other for my 2 teenagers. They were very accommodating. Would definitely recommend.
Stayed here waiting on new apartment to be finished. Room was clean although property maintenance is something that needs work. Toilet was leaking and seat wasnt bolted down, puddle of water rolling across to tub front, someone had vomited on balcony 2 rooms over and it took forever to be cleaned up. Building exterior paint is peeling and holes rotted through the stucco façade. Rooms were updated fairly recent but you cant really tell from all the wear and tear already. Staff is friendly.
The entire staff, front desk, maintenance staff, everyone went above & beyond our expectations, everyone was very hospitable, cordial...just very welcoming from the start to our last day with them. What stood out to me equally was/is the overall cleanliness of the entire establishment. Absolutely highly recommend Motel 6, Grand River, Farmington Hills. 5 STARS!!!
Ill give this room no ratings at all. I arrived at the motel from a long drive to come in and see a roach crawling up the wall. I went to complain to the office and didnt care to meet my needs. I ask to be moved but as she stated there were no rooms available wouldnt even upgrade me to another room. She told me she could give me some spray and I can spray the room down but I told her it wasnt my job and I had a baby with me. She didnt care to even try and resolve the issue, basically wasnt her problem. Never will come back to this place AGAIN!! I also have took pictures of the roach and room number so I can give it to management!! So if you do decide to stay keep your bags in your vehicle!
The man at the desk was normal, but things went downhill from there. Technically it was a room and had sheets, the bed wasnt broken. It smelled very much like old smoke. Honestly, something about the room made my skin crawl. When you flushed the toliet the water pressure was so strong that it shot water out of the bowl (yes, every time)
The room was clean, but the bed was very hard. The site was mostly quiet, but the toilet was running constantly. I brought this to the attention of the front desk. I have stayed at other Motel 6 locations having better stays. The tv picture was very poor.
Room 237 is not an ideal room I use to occupy in Motel 6 facility. Ordinarily, each room is clean every day in the past even when the tenant is still there. Though, i was told the company change rule to clean rooms every 3 days with new occupant. Nevertheless, clean towel & soap should not be in short supply. TV remote control was taped all around until reported to the front desk as if the housekeeper cannot see the broken remote. Weak battery would not allow signal to transmit to tv until reportted. Floor dirty (center of the room) as if the kids brought mud into the house even after it was mopped. The bed rocked and made noise each time I get on & off as if it will come apart. Exhaust fan is loud. All years of my experience with Motel 6, this is the worst room ever occupied.
I visited the extended stay room on the ground floor. Total cement and sound proof. If I was going to be renting a room it would not be a room with no carpet.
This hotel was the crappiest Ive ever been in. I routinely stay at Motel 6s and other no-frill but this was the worst. Our feet stuck to the floor, black caulk in bathtub (which didnt drain), 3 channels on the TV, the mattress was made from packing foam, the sheets had dried paint on them (probably used as drop cloths).
The stay was mostly fine. The bathroom fan did not work, I checked and it was unplugged, it did not run after I plugged it in so I left it unplugged. Seems it needs a new electric motor. The vanity lights only turned on when I flicked the On switch twice- might need a new light switch. The dead bolt on the front door could only be locked by lifting up on the door so that the plunger would clear the plate on the door frame.
Kinda dirty. There was hair EVERYWHERE lol. Big long hairs all over the fresh towels when I first checked in. The guy at the front desk yelled at me when I asked if he had a drain plug for the bathtub. Not a great experience but I mean what do you really expect at a motel 6 ya know lol. Overall, do not recommend unless of course youre pretty strapped for cash
There was very little soap for me to work with and none of the staff assisted me with new towels because the ones in my room were dirty and had small black stains on them as if they were used previously. Also, my tv was not working properly as it was showing static every few minutes.
Room was clean. Bed was average. Biggest issue was the fact that even though all the rooms are non smoking, people are allowed to stand outside the doors of non smoking guests rooms and smoke. With the A/C unit on fan mode, all I smelled most of the night was cigarette smoke and had a lousy time trying to sleep. When I called the desk to inquire if there was a designated area for the smokers to go I was informed that there was none and the smokers are allowed to stand outside of the rooms and smoke much to the discomfort of non smokers who have to smell cigarette smoke. Will not be staying at this location again.
Worse experience at the office, was doing an early checkout due to noises and bed bugs and the lady over there started yelling at me when I asked for the rate I was given for daily when I first came in. First she had to understand and check with person who gave me that rate and how, instead she said she doesnt know about rates. I told her to be soft and check discounts and apply, she did it forcefully and not even a sorry at the end. No respect for being a customer there.
It was going good until check out time came. We we’re grabbing our things leaving at 10:50 when check out is at 11 and the housekeeping came pounding on the door, “hurry up hurry up. Get out. Grab ur things and go”. We were respectful our whole stay, no loud music, no smoking. He was very rude and very disrespectful for no reason. I wouldn’t stay here again unless i receive a free night stay.
VERY comfortable beds! Great location, plenty of places around there to eat. Convenient to the convention centre which was our destination. Only problem was the bathtub didnt drain well. Other than that, no complaints.
The staff was nice enough. However, I requested a ground floor room, which I was not originally assigned to. Then they did end up giving me one. But after setting up all of our stuff, it was discovered our toilet didnt work and was spilling water all over the floor. So, we had to switch rooms. With no ground floors available, we had to haul all of our things upstairs at 10 pm at night! We were not happy to say the least. No compensation, and barely an appology was issued. The floors in the room were also very dirty with dust and hair balls and plastic wear on the floor. The linens were clean.
Stayed here when our furnace broke. Not the cleanest. The housekeepers are all men (one of whom barged into my room without permission, while I was changing) so thats more than likely why the rooms are HALF A$$ cleaned... I found a dirty sock under the bed from a previous guest, something dried to the dresser, could be lotion, could be something else (gross lol)... Dark stains on the bedding. Loose change everywhere, which was the most annoying part because the baby is the one that kept finding it... Otherwise, its not terrible lol... No bugs or drama. Its not loud, and everyone keeps to themselves. They allow pets as well.
The girl who was the receptionist was really a good person, she was juggling alot but kept a good outlook.The Room was Dirty, the floor was worn and nasty, the walls were in bad shape. the A/C was noisey and taped together all in all the worst motel 6 I have stayed in, Smelled of smoke it was not good.
My room had a fake wooden floor for easy cleaning, yet was still littered with dust bunnies and sand.The room did come with free wifi and cable tv, but with a couple of caveats. The wifi password provided did connect me to the router, but still provided no internet access. The TV was analog only, and provided a whopping TWO channels that were visible through the static.My bed came with three pillows, all of which felt like rocks in a bag.Bringing these issues up to the desk, I was told theres nothing we can do about these.Needless to say, this is one location of this chain that I will never return. I hope everyone reading this takes heed.
Ive stayed few times in last month & 1/2- overall I was comfortable- sure floors wasnt the cleanest or the remote didnt work but let me get an extra hour to checkout ..I knew I didnt pay to stay at the Hilton so no complaints..good job guys!!
About what youd expect from this chain. Building was old and it showed. Room was relatively clean and flooring was new though. But the chain lock was broken in the room.Sign out front said $39.99 for one person, why was I charged $54.99 then??? Never got a real answer to that question. But I had no choice, my power was out for 6 days and everyplace else was booked solid. This worked in a pinch.
I wasnt expecting a luxurious hotel for around $50 per night, but this place was trash. Ive stayed at other Motel 6s before, but none were ever so unclean and mismanaged. There were dead insects in the corners around the room. The floors were so filthy that I had to wear flip flops to get out of bed to use the bathroom.Every textile in the room was gross, from the shower curtain to the bedspread to the drapes. We stripped the bed down and put on our own linens that happened to be in the trunk of the car.Everything is dated and poorly maintained. The sink is so scratched up that it couldnt be cleaned properly, and its even missing the sink stopper - so you can see clear down the drain! The area around the base of the toilet is coated with a think layer of dark mildew or mold.The only plus side of staying here is that pets are allowed, but good luck finding a place for them to potty outside. There is almost ZERO green space outdoors, and the little grass that is there is covered in trash... Every. Single. Inch.If you can find anywhere else to stay besides here, do it. I wish I had just pulled over and slept in the car.
The room was dirty.... the drain in the tub didnt work so I was standing in a tub full of water..... the clerk screwed up something in the computer and gave a STRANGER a key to my room.... there was blood on the ceiling and I killed 3 spiders (one of the 3 bit my knee)There was stains on the comforter...... hair on the shower walls.... pubic hair on one of the face towels.... the sink was sticky and stained..The trash cans outside were LOADED with trash! Looked as if no one had changed it in days.Do yourself the favor and spend your money somewhere elseWorse experience ever.!
We were not expecting much...just the bare necessities, due to the price. But we were in for so much more than we expected. There was a pair of contact lens, that had dried up and left on the bathroom counter! The floor in both the room and the bathroom felt like it had not been cleaned/washed in years. Just walking around the room with your shoes, you can feel the stickiness. The bathroom smelt like someone had taken a # 2 right before we came, only this smell stayed the whole weekend. There was dried blood on the blankets. The night we arrived, we rushed out to a local store and picked up Lysol wipes and disinfectant spray, a toilet brush and cleaner...We should have spent the extra money and stayed elsewhere, rather than spending it on cleaning products. . DO NOT STAY HERE!!!
I went there last night on a spur of the moment thing was tired of driving and my experience was HORRIBLE. The staff when checking in was not that helpful with accommodating me and my child with a first floor room which is understandable it was last minute-but when I went in my room it smelled HORRIBLE! It smelled like it haven’t been used in months.........Whoever cleaned didn’t do a good job AT ALL ! ice bucket was DIRTY! Also ALOT of people had there dogs...BIG DOGS 🤦🏾♀️ I was disgusted! To top it off when I went to check out my room EARLY in the morning a room 2doors down must’ve had an accident or something but it was blood leaking from their door all down the stairs where I had to step over and around 9.months pregnant carrying a 1year old (who can walk) but didn’t want him walking in blood and I was carrying our bags. When I told the front desk as I was checking out her words were “ I WILL SEE ABOUT THAT LATER HONEY HAVE A GREAT DAY”NEVER AGAIN WILL I GO THERE I WOULD RATHER SLEEP IN MY CAR!
This motel needs major update. Ive stayed here before, but it this motel is not being updated.Some of the electrical outlets do not work.Can feel the springs in the bed.Door does not latch properly from the outside.Bathroom, paint was peeling off the wall.I stayed at motel 6 all over the contry, most of them are updated, but this one is really run down.
Far price for a spur of the moment crash spot. I just hated that it was a clump of hair in the sink drain.. ugh.. that means it was cleaned properly. The room didnt smell and the sheets were clean. I would look for a cleaner spot next time im dead tired and need to crash tho. The customer service rep seemed annoyed that I came in as she was about to locked the door and open the night drop. She huffed and puffed through the entire transaction until i smiled and made small talk.. O, well I wouldnt go back when im traveling again. You would thin Farmington would have a better environment.
Great people, NO they do not rip people off. Certain rooms are priced accordingly especially if multiple beds are involved or in need of mini-fridge and microwave combinations. Costs a little more. Understandable. Yea paying 3 dollars daily for wifi is sometimes annoying but once you get it the reception is perfect.They are very nice people and even offered me side work to help out and it goes a long way. Especially being homeless and with my cats they do not hassle me in any way and their room service people are actually nice people. They gotta clean up after everyone and they deserve the respect in trying to keep the rooms clean and up to date. They may miss a thing or two but you gotta remember they are doing many rooms a day every single day and it would drive some people crazy.Sonia is very nice and offered me food and 20 dollars to get more food. Even offered me a side job to earn money to pay for the room but with my resources available I usually use the money earned to get extra food for myself and cats as well as gas money for friends to drive me to places to get me a home. The reception staffs are actually very nice. They deal with rude people a lot.People will find anything to complain about here. Its a simple cost efficient motel. Its not Knights Inn which actually has lots of crackheads and weekly raids by the farmington police. And Jason their stole money from me and others who did file complaints. People say you cannot pay over the phone here. Actually you can. You have to call the motel 6 800 or 888 number and refer to this location and room number to pay. Or simply do it online. I do my best to help out around here to keep the parking lots clean and the trashes emptied daily.People expect too much out of motels. If You want all the bells and whistles, go pay ridiculous money at expensive hotels. Motel 6 is a safe haven for people struggling and people needing rest in between trips and people in town for the week. It is a no-bullshit motel.
Super friendly staff. Rooms very run down but the bedding and floor was clean. For 45 bucks a night I guess you cant complain
When we come to the US for dog shows we typically only stay at Motel 6. Their pet policy is the best for any hotel that we have found so far.We have only really had one issue in a room with an air conditioner and it was resolved to our satisfaction quickly.Motel 6 is great for budget travel (especially with pets that do not fit into the very specific rules that other hotels have).
Room never cleaned during our stay. Toilet clogged right away....no maintienence, so had to walk to get a plunger. Bed so hard we could not sleep. Both chairs in room racked, broken and barely useable.

Of course, this is not a fancy resort, but it has everything that I need. I look for parking at the door and on-site laundry. This location always seems safe to me. Most of the people staying there are families and tradesmen. It is the only place I ever stay when in Detroit. Employees are always efficient and friendly.
Quiet and friendly place. We dont have a maid knocking everyday. We can Change towels at the office when needed and they change the sheets once a week if u stay for long periods of time.
The parking lot was clean and well light. There was a clean room with plenty of space to place bags. The TV was sharp and had many channels. Clean towels were provided. This hotel is near serveral places near by to get food.
Super nice staff. Rooms could be cleaner, walk in and first thing you see is a very streaky mirror. See splatter marks on bathroom door. DONT WEAR WHITE SOCKS ON THE FLOOR! they will turn black. A/c working but could tell its almost done for how old it looked
NEVER STAY HERE!!! I have stayed here a few times and all of a sudden a new worker was at the front desk needed a $50 deposit which was never needed before, so she in fact wanted to keep the money for herself and was rude and seemed to be nodding out on drugs. I have alsso seen dead bodies being rolled out of rooms 3 times!!! I also saw a junkie shooting up in the stairs. This place is trash.
Staying here as a guest due to a power outage. Coincidentally, the weather caused power to go out here at the motel as well. Went down to the front desk, was rudely informed that there is no generator and I should be glad because that would make the rates higher. Refused a refund for the day, although it is freezing outside, basically told to deal with it because I dont have to give you your money back. Mind you I have a baby with me and I escaped the cold coming here just to deal with it all over again. Power was out for hoursssss and I am extremely unhappy and would recommend this location to no one.
People were hanging around all over outside. The room wreaked of smoke. The towels and linens were disgusting. There wasnt a clock. Called the front desk to say the room smelled of smoke and I didnt want to be charged a fine since there was a flyer stating it was a no smoking room and you would be fined if you smoked in it. Neither my husband or I smoke. In broken English he told me not to worry. I was very worried our car might not be there when we woke up in the morning. NEVER would stay at Motel 6 again. It was our 1st and last time.
I thought the hotel had potential but there was some problems. First the bed was completely broken, made crunch noises everytime u say on it. Shower was not working properly, TV was not clear. Wasent bad but definitely not good.
I was disappointed with this hotel for the following observations.Cracked outlet cover.Cracked lamp shade.Cracked switch cover.Bathroom ceiling bubbled. Probable black mold.Dirty bed coverlet. Very dirty under the beds.Missing TV listing. This assumes there is one.Must pay for internet.
The bed was comfortable, but the room itself was a bit run down. The exhaust fan in the bathroom didnt work and there was a lot of hair on the floor in the corners. I mean, a LOT of hair in the corners of the rooms.
Dirty, busted up and depressing! Lets start at the door, months worth of grime and dirty hand prints, one double electrical outlet under the dresser-desk-tv stand combination which is nowhere close to the beds! the light switch between the beds was broken so the only light switch was by the door! Its a NON-SMOKING property, however there are cigarette burns on almost every horizontal surface including the edges of the bathtub! TV was staticyon about half the channels! Cigarette burns aside the tub had a very healthy crop of mold growing in the crevices and the water temperature was on the low end of hot! Oh! And the fire alarm/smoke detector was ripped out of the celling and the bare exposed wires left hanging loose! To sum it up I wouldnt recommend it
Clean rooms, friendly front desk, very quick and convenient. Im a single woman and was skeptical about staying alone. In yet I felt very safe and comfortable for the duration of my stay. A+
I have to say that my most recent experience at a Motel 6 this past weekend might just be my last. I typically stay at this particular Motel 6 on average of 10+ nights per year, but not again. First of all, the walls in the bathroom were disgusting. It looks like someone has smeared feces on the walls. Second, was the internet. I got in late on Friday, so did not get it for that night, but I did pay for it when I got back to the motel around 6:30pm on the Saturday night. I am Canadian, so I can only use wifi while in the USA, and so I paid my $3 USD, and logged on. Everything was fine for approximately 45 minutes, and then I lost it. I went to the front desk to ask about it, I was given a long distance number to call, which I said I could not with my Canadian phone, so in all fairness - the front counter person gave me hers to call. When I reached someone in California, I was asked for my customer number, etc. It was NOT a number for me to call. I know that the front desk was on the phone for a good 30 minutes trying to figure something out. I asked for a refund and was refused. I MIGHT have gotten another 30 minutes of internet before I went to bed, and had to resort to texting long distance at $1.75 per text as I had a situation going on that I needed to be accessible for in Ontario. I am thoroughly upset by this situation. It is not the first time I have been disappointed. When I accidentally booked a motel room for a night at a Motel 6 for the next night (instead of a future night), I put through an official inquiry and received absolutely NO answer whatsoever. I am done with this chain. I fill out the surveys every single time and am not sure anybody reads them, so thought that Id respond directly to this email.The room was stifling hot, Im glad I had my own fan with my dogs, and even then it was still warm. The AC unit wouldnt even turn on in cool mode, only on fan, and then only for a small amount of time before it quit.The bed and pillows were awful in this room. Lumpy and hard as a rock.I will also not be recommending this chain to anybody in the future, and I have a lot of pet people who ask.
Motel 6 hours was a good quality place to stay this Motel 6 gives a whole new meaning to Quality and customer service this hotel in Farmington Hills was nasty floors you did not want to walk on. Bathroom and bedding was nasty and need to be upgraded need to be painted a dump for dogs. Cigarette butts all over outside paper will never visit this Motel 6 again. Midnight clerk was very nice and professional.Morning clerk had evidently stayed up too late, was very curt.i realize that the low rates are attractive to low income residents. Seems like some of the loitering and police presence could harm business.
Room is same or worse to a room I stayed in Mexico for $10 dollar. WiFi doesnt work well. Bed sheets are wrinkled and seems dirty and smell. Only the good thing is it does have hot shower. Doesnt worth even $50.
This Motel 6 is close to my job and makes a great haven on snow days... to make sure I can get back to work. Staff is nice, rooms are clean, TVs are big and coffee is always on in the morning : )
Used this motel just for taking a shower while my bathroom was being fixed. Would not recommend staying here. The room smelled, the bed was worn out and the tables were chewed on (probably by some animal that stayed there). The bathroom had traces of mold and rust.
Hey, I know Im not paying for the Ritz Carlton, but at the VERY least, the floor could have been vacuumed. First thing I noticed was that the floor was not cleaned. Wife also tripped on the stairs facing Grand River. You have a lawsuit waiting to happen there. Those steel stairs need to be repaired. One of them is flexing badly.
Room was clean but seems run down. You have to pay for Wi-Fi yourself and there is no cable or basic channels on tv. The man that works at the front desk was very rude when I asked about the Wi-Fi i paid for a week that I never got. He swore at my husband and raised his voice at me. Would not recommend this place to anyone.
Awful. This motel 6 has never been upgraded.....never,never,never. I bathed in the sink. The black markings between the tub and the formica above it prevented me from showering, let alone using the tub. Why stay 3 nites? because of its convenience to locations I needed and too late to find another place.

Finding out a family member whom has no money or a place to stay after his check out here this morning, my husband and I wanted to pay for a week for him, We do not live in that area and they would not take payment over the phone. When I ask for a manager, Fabian was rude said there is not one available . I was also told there is no one you can contact that will help you with this. Our 1st major storm trying to help a homeless family member Motel 6 representative Fabian had horrible customer service... I can however give a 10 star to Jason at Knights Inn whom worked with me to pay a weeks stay and went over and beyond by calling me back to offer my family member a ride if needed..Jason also gave information on places that could possibley help with getting back on his feet. KUDOS Knights Inn. There is kindness for others that have fallen into hard times....
Staff was rude there was a hypodermic needle left in the parking lot clearly drug invested was the worst hotel I have ever been to do not go there if u value your belongings in your automobile the red roof in is just a little ways down the road and worth it

Good location. Easy access to freeways and businesses. Plenty of restaurants and shopping nearby. Rooms functional, but nothing fancy. Refrigerator, but no microwave. Nice sized TV, reception not great. Short term stay only.

The hotel room was clean the ppl were quite it was a pleasant experience. The staff was courteous an helpful i would recommend this hotel to my friends.The only thing i didnt like was there was no coffee in the room or hair dryer
The room smelled funny, the TV channels didnt work, the wifi never connected, and the people next to us kept coming out and smoking Infront of our door. Then he would yell at his son (4 yr old maybe) to not lock him out. He did this every 2 hours from 9:15-1:30 am!! Next time, I will pay the extra money to go somewhere else.
The staff was very helpful and attentive. The room service on the other hand was less than desirable. The room was only cleaned and serviced when I complained that it had not been attended to.
I reserved a room for my trip to Farmington hills Michigan trip to visit my mom and sister. The service at the service desk was terrible.i didnt even get my discount with my AArp card. After enter the room the room smell like Marijuana. Beds were uncomfortable light switch would work correctly. And no rollaway bed.

There was a used bar of soap stuck to a wash cloth by the sink. The room was missing pieces of from on all the furniture and the remote did not work. On top of that the sign said 49.99 when I got there for a single person amd they didnt honor that.
This location is predominantly filled with homeless people and drug users. Please consider staying somewhere else!!
The shower was covered in black mold!when I turned on shower the hose connector blew off & was wildly flying around in the shower spraying me from head to toe in ice cold water,the hose just barely missed my face,& when I made a complaint too the owner,I was denied any money back for the in convenience, of no shower& honestly there room was not very clean too start with& the beds are shot& not very comfortable he offered no $ back,was very rude& did not apologize for anything, he basically said too f off with his body language, we stay in a motel for rest& shower& I didnt get either,& they have no microwave or fridge, & my milk sitting out side the door chilling,got throwed away,very bad experience all the way around
This is a decent hotel its not a 5 star hotel but the beds are soft and comfortable . they should upgrade though include WiFi and better TVs .The Farmington Hills area is in a amazing area with near by restaurant for light travel .all in all a great stay

Pretty good stay. only space for 2 straight trucks to park though and wasnt allowed to park in 4 unoccupied spots on a Sunday night with only a few rooms booked. besides that no complaints
The walls where SOOO dirty! The shower curtain was so dirty Im sure it was NEVER changed !My outside door didnt close correctly because the weather stripping was gone.I will never stay there again.
Although its not the highest quality, my room was clean, the air/heat was great and, most importantly, its the cheapest place around. Few dollars cheaper than Red Roof Inn down the road.

Found a used lidocane patch from the last customer in my sheets as well as hair from other guests. They just refolded the beds.

This hotel is very old and dated. The bed was uncomfortable,(too hard), The TV had a line through it, but it was clean, inexpensive and the desk help were friendly.
Im homeless so I always look for the best price and have to say this place will nickel and dine you, different prices for different times I. Could go there three times in a week rent the same room and always have a different price.
There were no towels or soap in the room upon arrival at 1am. This is an older property. There is only 1 microwave oven for 260 rooms to share. This is the first Motel 6 that Ive stayed in that didnt have a microwave in each room, also first one that didnt have free WiFi. Overall, this was not the best experience at a Motel 6!
One bed was broken, luckily only one was needed. Its out dated, more control is needed for ppl that live there with large dogs. Fast food restaurants are in walking distance

Rooms were clean. Nice flat screen TV. Only issue is the bare floors. Im a fan of carpeted rooms.
The prices are great but the water comes out of the sink very lil i guess its because some many rooms beds are comfortable its quite area.
Upon check-in, found pool of water on bathroom floor near toilet. Was moved to other room next door to barking dog, even though other rooms were available. Also in new room found television broken; reported it and was given no compensation or offer to move to other room.

The room was clean. The attendant was very attentive to our need to be on the bottom floor and very pleasant to work with.
I was late checking in but they didnt cancel so that was a plus. The air in the room didnt work but since it was so late I just let it be and didnt complain the channels dont come in either

Our experience was not the greatest the toilet had P all around the bottom of it they had no bathtub plugs and told us to bad take a shower they were not real kind we got good sleep at least but the left bed had stuff all over on the comforter it was not really great but for last minute at least booking the lady that booked me or at least reserve the room was awesome!

I made a reservation on line for 5 days and I specified that I will check in at 3:00am and I got the reservation total but when I got to the motel the agent told me that he doesnt have the room I booked available and he gave me a different room which is fine but he quoted me a higher rate from the one I got on line and he charged me for 6 days and I only stayed 5 days and its not my first time staying at a motel 6 but after this incident it is the last time I stay at motel 6 and Im gonna file complaint with the BBB with all the documents that I have if I dont hear from you tomorrow.

This place was clean with clean pillows sheets and bed spread the only thing is there cheap so u get wut u pay for.. the manager was nice and maintenance man was nice and the room service man is nice one of the rooms had a broken heater and the tv was fuzzy which the maintenance guy tried to fix it.. And i didnt like that we had to pay $4.00 for the internet and the internet was crappy the side of the toilets was nasty and it had black smudge on it it was like that for every toilet. the people in the other rooms were super loud one of the cleaning ladies seem like she was high off drugs and kept knocking on are door saying room service then another time one of them just opened my door, also one of the rooms had a leaky sink ware it was leaking plus they dont change the sheets allot they let u leave and they fold it back up with out it being washed witch is nasty.
This place was the absolute nastiest place on Earth. No hot water, the floor was dirty. The ceiling have popcorn which was bubbling looks like a beehive.

This is a welfare motel pure and simple. Half or more of the rooms are rented out to people that live there. Room was OK.
I was staying there while waiting on my apartment to clear and I had stayed about 2 weeks and then it came to the day that I had to check out, I needed to change locations closer to the apart, I had left a couple things in the room and called management about the thing I left behind and when I went to pick it up the next day everything else in the room was put in a garbage bag and the things I listed I never got back.

2022-05-04Very terrible experience! Never gonna stay in Motel 6 hotel anymore. Guy in the night shift was so rude and arrogant. He was acting like we booked this hotel for free! I am not sure why Owner hired that arrogant boy in the first place. We didnt get time to report that incident to the Owner!

2022-01-11Great price, comfortable bed, and for the most part friendly staff. I would of gave a 5 start review except I tried to get an extra pillow from the office and it was locked when I knocked the young guy at the desk just looked at me like I was stupid. Besides that one interaction I had a great stay

2021-12-20Was the worst stays in the world. Room was supposed to be smoke free. Thats all you could smell. Now all my clothes smell like smoke. And I dont smoke. No hot water for shower and thats what you pay for. Blood on the door to the bathroom. Sink was gross. Shall I go on. Will never stay there again.

2021-10-19I will never stay at a Motel 6 again. I was shocked at how rundown the entire room was. I didnt care that the furniture was old and the walls had dents. But the sink was disgusting and the bathtub had two large dirty old patches on the inside of it. It also didnt look clean but honestly, I couldnt tell if it was dirty or stained. There was also hair in the sink and tub. I couldnt bring myself to shower or wash my face/brush my teeth it was so bad.I was staying with my elderly Mother. If we hadnt arrived so late from our long day of driving, I would have left to go elsewhere.I was thoroughly disgusted and both my Mother and I felt unsafe. Completely unacceptable. I wouldnt stay again at a Motel 6 even if the room was free.The only positive thing was the woman working the office the following morning seemed nice to my Mother.

2021-08-13The people at the reception were very nice. The sheets and towels appeared clean. However, that is where the accolades stop. The area seemed very shady. There was a homeless man singing out in the parking lot questionable people around. The room smelled of smoke, the light fixture over the sink didn’t work properly, there was mold in the shower area, something red dripping on the wall and I could go on. I wish I had read the reviews before staying there. I would definitely not return.

2021-08-14To start, the parking lot pavement seems to have not been upgraded since the place was built; the local terrain rather dictates that the building should have been erected about six inches higher from the parking lot to avoid possible flooding from heavy rains; the sink faucet was set up backward, so that when a person turned the handle to the left, he or she would get cold water instead of hot; in the four days of my stay I received absolutely no room service, such as no clean towels, no bed made, or any other normally expected domestic maintenance, even after I mentioned it to a desk clerk, Mark, who asserted that rooms only get serviced once a week.(REALLY?!) I have stayed at several Motel 6 locations, all of which offered a higher level of hospitality than this one did. I hesitate to award this location even one star.

2022-06-17Really dirty place. No smoking rooms rakes with cigarettes. Sheets with strange looking stains.Toilet not flushing properly.
