Its a budget-friendly option with all the basic amenities you need for a short stay. Convenient location and great value for the price. Comment: Worst motel room I’ve ever experienced. First checked into room 130. Upon entering the room, we smelled nothing but cigarette all throughout the room. Weird stains on the toilet seat. You would think housekeeping would have the notion to leave the windows open after they clean the room so the smell could air out, but it didn’t even smell like it had been cleaned with products, just straight up cigarettes. The middle eastern concierge woman up front was very kind, apologetic and understanding when we asked for another room to stay in. Relocated to room 134. The room smelled better, but still a small hint of cigarette, but at least it smelled more clean than anything. The blankets had a few stains them though. The area of this motel is just BAD. Hella tweakers and homeless people around. We were woken up at 8am to a homeless couple screaming obscenities at eachother all through the parking lot. If it wasn’t for the kind service of the concierge this place would be a 1 star all around.

Comment: TLDR: don’t stay here, it’s nasty.We only stayed here passing through on a longer trip but wow. This room was gross. The hotel was described as recently renovated. I don’t know what their definition of “recently” is but there was nothing ~fresh~ about this hotel. There were flies and rolly-pollie bugs in the room. The tv stand/small table area had not been wiped down and had sticky stuff all over it? It looked like someone had wiped boogers on it or something. There were not enough washcloths in the room and there were serious plumbing issues. We only stayed one night and the toilet would not flush from the moment we arrived. The walls and the inside of the door to the room were also dirty and desperately needed to be cleaned/repainted. There was graffiti on the side of the tv stand as well. The bed was so uncomfortable and the linens were scratchy and cheap.The staff was fine, not overly friendly but not rude. I had booked through Expedia and when I checked in they cancelled my reservation and booked my room as if I was a walk-in because they make more money that way, which they explained to me when I got the notification from Expedia that my reservation had been cancelled. Kind of weird, but whatever as long as I don’t get negatively impacted for “cancelling”. I (kindly and respectfully) told the desk worker when we left about the issues with our room and she apologized but didn’t seem to really care. She said she’d tell their maid staff but I was thinking “this is a lot more than anything a maid can fix”.Anyway, don’t stay here. Not worth it.

They also allowed someone to add they own name to my reservation then they gave them access to my room where my personal belongings was taking and sold in the parking lot. They didnt have no respect for me being a registered guest there. I would not recommend this place at all for no reason to anyone.

Comment: I had reserved an ADA room with a walk in shower due to a disability, and made that reservation three weeks in advance. When I got there late that evening, I checked in and then found that the room had a tub shower, which I was unable to use. They did not have an appropriate room to give me, and when I tried to talk to the manager the next day about compensation for not having gotten the room I had reserved, she was rude and dismissive. The stay here was a very negative experience.

Comment: Just walk around the property and you will see alot of drugs trafficking by the windows specially the room close to the ice machine homeless didnt care just get to the window knot the door and you can buy cristal meth, and the ice machine never works never, I dont know how they spend too much money on remodeling and making studios and they dont have money to buy a new ice machine, theres another hotel on front of target very close and all its new I will recoment to stay there super secure no drugs and ice all the time super clean and same price

Comment: Worst room ever . I checked into room #151 and soon as I opened the door it smelled bad like cigarettes and the light would not turn on. I drove back and asked for another room #160 is what they gave me and I was extremely disgusted by the entire room, the bathroom toilet seat was peeling off, the bathtub had cigarette burns everywhere and looked extremely dirty . The floor as soon as you was in the room is coming up in multiple areas of the floor as well . And on top of all that I called the front office to ask about the refund policy and they said no manager is on site to do refund so I have to wait 3 days and then come back when management is here to get a credit card refund which will most likely take an additional 3 days to go back on my card. DONT RECOMMEND GOING HERE

A Middle Eastern guy with a terrible haircut will act like he does not speak English fluently and ask if you think he is dumb. Then there is a fat Latina who writes like a first grader and cannot stand being rushed. And the list of characters goes on. You will not find one normal worker here.The cleaning lady left dirty towels and bedding neatly done. They converse with each other through walky talkies and have a list of bad rooms that they seem to misuse. The mattresses are bent inwards. There is a reason why it is cheap. Comment: Charisma got her feelings hurt and got myself and my two kids (3 yrs old & 1 month old) kicked out in the rain due to owner Luis who also knew that I had kids in myRoom, they do not care about your kids though they stay free. Sanjeeta Is very understanding as is AnaMarie they are awesome!!No shampoo provided, they don’t come by your room for daily room service, housekeeping barely speak English, they can be outside your room and you can ask for towels and they’ll tell you to go to laundry, p.s call the front office and they’ll have them bring them to you.They don’t clean the bathrooms properly, bring your own cleaning supplies if you want to be comfortable.

Spider web in the room, moisture and chewing gum on the floor of the bathroom...pubian hair and dried urine on the toilett seat! In addition to that the noise isolation was inexistant, we could hear every steps of the clients in the above room and the tv next door. You guys well sate a laundry room which is off course not working. Same thing for the complimentary coffee promised in the morning. We are thinking about pressing charges, this is an outrage ! Comment: The staff were amazing, but theres nowhere to park to check in! No signs as to where to stop to grab your key. I was in a non-smoking room, but I use a c-pap and the next night at my next stay I could still smell the stale smoke that leaks into everything when you are near smokers! If you are sensitive to smoke, dont stay here! If you dont smoke, but you dont mind the stale smell, go ahead, its right beside the freeway so bring earplugs or a white noise. The place creaks so stay on the top floor if you dont like random creaking. It was okay on the clean level in the rooms, but the walkways are overdue for some pressure washing or steam cleaning. The lot nearest the freeway was dark, which worried me, because it seems to be where longer term people stay. I saw a few drop-off and pick-ups from the corner room area, 💊💉 💵 which wasnt a surprise. I wont stay there again, but Im sure its fine.

Then as for ac/heater there isnt a power button you have to move the mode button to what you want then move the temperature button up or down for it to come on. They didnt come in the next day to give us dry towels or to at least make the bed. Target is across the street with Dennys and McDonalds on either side and a gas station in front. Then walking distance to Starbucks.

Comment: Hotel management allows aggressive contracted night shift security guard working for All About Security Agency (security company based in San Leandro) to assault customers and transients without repercussion. The guard in question actually has a Youtube channel called The Security BodyCam Channel where he posts videos of himself physically grabbing and shoving female transients. In two videos, he actually uses his taser against two male transients not doing anything and he threatens others with mace. Does Motel 6 really want to be held liable for this?

The new flooring was attractive and beats a dirty carpet anytime.This is probably the best Motel 6 Ive ever stayed at. The only real complaint is that the management and security need to do more to quell the noise from other guests who either blast music or argue. Motels are supposed to be quiet places for people to rest. Its up to management to make sure every guest understands.

I called Down to the office they kept saying it will be back on in 10min! I was so tired from along day so I fell rite to sleep, when I woke up in the morning the light were still off! Comment: I didnt expect much too much from this. This was very no-frills. Had a bed, TV, shower, soap, and towels. I didnt even have shampoo (good thing I bring some). The TV guide on channel 1 didnt correspond with the actual channels, so it was difficult to find the right station. The sink shelf was falling off. The wifi had a good signal but was very slow, like an old DSL. I found that I could stream at low quality. The bed was OK, sheet and a think blanket. I am not sure way the sheet was on top over the blanket. AC worked.

Drove 4 hrs and tried to get a motel at a different motel 6 and they didnt give me a room because my ID had JUST expired on my birthday last week and I told the people I was waiting for my new one in the mail. I was very tired from driving because of so many traffic jams that came to complete stops and now stressed out. Soooo, I drove a little further and tried this Motel6....I told them my situation a.c and I had driven 4 hrs and was exhausted and didnt know what to do. .Can you believe there where no questions asked and gave a room!! Comment: Slightly nicer than your average motel 6, altho I have watched it go a little south down the hill, since my first stay back in 2013. (I believe it to be a change in management)One thing I am thrilled with, is the fact that they did attempt to increase rates, shortly after they renovated a few years back, but then quickly lowered price back down to what it once was. (70-90$/night depending on size and #beds)Housekeeping sometimes a bit slow since covid, but that is completely understandable. Other than that staff is pretty cool usually always clean not as quiet as it used to be but they are always friendly and always welcoming any problems you may find easily resolved with a little communication although it’s an older location like I said it’s been fully renovated if you are strict on smoking or not smoking I mean this may not be the place for you as there is usually smoke wafting from all buildings .(not a problem personally lol)I’ve been staying here all these years and still plan on returning as I stay here at least at least six times a year I’ve tried other places in the area and still come back to Motel 6 !

Someone kept knocking on my door and walking away every hour. Guess I expected too much for $80.00There was lots of traffic, loud talking and arguments in the parking lot. McDonalds is right next door and that added another level of restlessness smh. I really wanted a refund but was too tired to drive.I stay at Motel 6 around the Bay but this one was the worst. Not sure if they have a different standard for the construction crews (they have their own section) but i had a piece of gum stuck to the wall. Ive had ants in the room. Theres no service here. I had att someone else else had verizon. Paid for the wifi and it did no better than the free stuff. No fridge or microwave. The TV worked half the time.

Comment: There was no WiFi, or toiletries provided. No refrigerator no microwave no hair dryer. Ive never heard of a motel that didnt provide these things. And there was no mention of these items not being available on the website or over the phone. And the walls were very thin, there was a family having a party in their room nextdoor as well as in the parking lot and directly in front of the door to my room all throughout the night. It was so loud, me and my children could not sleep. And the air conditioning unit had a missing shut off switch. It was not worth the price to stay there. I will never book at a motel 6 again.The room was nice and clean. The beds were very comfortable.

Comment: I have had the pleasure of staying over 20 plus days at this facility on business. It has been great. I found the following:Firstly, the location of this facility is fabulous. It is centrally located to freeways, gas stations, restaurants, department stores, and much more.Secondly, the property exterior and interior is well maintained and clean.Thirdly, management is awesome along with its staff that render 5 star customer service. Comment: We arrived tired and with desires to rest and to sleep a little, but that was more than impossible, because the smell of the room, of the pillows and the mattress, did not allow it to us. The sheets and blankets looked dirty and outside the room there was a lot of litter thrown away. We only stayed 4 hours and we left more tired of how we got there. Comment: 3 things that were not acceptable. 1 I found and took pictures of 2 cockroaches that were in my room. 2. The mattresses were really filthy...again I took pictures of that. and 3 Major police action within 2 doors of my room I did go to the office and spoke to the manager. I was only compensated for one night and got a free nights coupon. I was also able to move to a cleaner room that actually had a fridge. I have never in my life stayed in a motel that was as unclean as this one in Hayward. This is ridiculous I haven’t had this problem before until this week.. the housekeeper just skips my room and goes to the next . I love the convenient Pay Range credit card payment feature for the soda, snack and laundry machines. I love the hot water and pressure. Easy online reservation. Suggestions: Wish reservation could be paid online and there was a self-check in option (mobile app or Kiosk). It would be nice to be able to extend reservation without going to the front desk. In between the beds on bed closest to window there was nasty food or something on bed that looked disgusting. I went to take shower and shower was so nasty & full of hair in tub & on walls. I had to thoroughly clean it before I could shower which is rediculous. I called Saturday morning & asked for Mgr. but you werent there, I spoke to Bipta & she changed my room but I was very upset. On the way back to my room (#138), a man walking by my room yelled at me saying dont leave anything in your room because the maids will steal it. The next morning the bathroom sink backed up with some really foul smelling water. The maintenance man tried to fix it but could not, so I was given another room (#135), and it was fine. Comment: Overall worst hotel experience. For the amount I paid I expected something completely nicer! I would of paid 40$ for this room and felt better about it but not 120. Area was ghetto and seemed super unsafe. We were scared to even fall asleep! Homeless people in the back by the dumpsters made things worse. But it was late and I already got charged so we decided to stay and try and sleep. When we checked in around midnight the lady looked like she was sleeping and wasn’t the nicest. We found hair in the bed before my boyfriend and I even laid down which is always gross. Towels were stained and didn’t look clean at all. Comment: I am not a frequent stayer in motels. I have found motel 6s to be convenient and sufficient for my needs. Your particular one cost about 2/3 more than the last couple I was at. That surprised me. I was in unit 226. That would seem to me to have the least convenient parking in the complex. Also, the passage going by there is a choke point and is poorly designed. I was almost hit by a pickup truck going through there too fast. Either the fence by the freeway needs to be moved back to widen that area, or, as an admission of poor design, the units at that end of that block should be removed. The bathroom fan is horribly noisy so I used the light from the sink area. I like that theres a Dennys next door. Your office staff was pleasant and helpful. Thanks for being there!

Comment: While I appreciate that a room was held for me given my 11:00 p.m. arrival, and that the room was clean and the t.v. working, I had requested a non-smoking room; when I first opened the door to my room the stench of stale smoke came wafting out. Due to the late hour, I didnt complain, nor request a new room. However, the morning after, all my clothes, workout gear and towels also smelled of stale smoke, and did so for the rest of the day. A truly non-smoking room is one that has never been exposed to cigarette smoke. Such smoke seeps into the carpeting and curtains, if not the fresh linens. While I would stay at Motel 6 in Hayward should I need to, when requesting a non-smoking room, Id appreciate one that has never been exposed to cigarette smoke. Thank you.

Comment: The room is very clean. But that’s also because there isn’t much in the room to clean. No fridge, microwave, coffee machine, anything. You get your bed and a television with the digital free satellite TV signal. No shampoo, no conditioner, just a tiny soap wafer. The housekeeping waits until you leave to keep house, and seem to be buzzing constantly throughout the day back and forth arbitrarily.I wouldn’t recommend staying here on any serious business or extended stays. Having no amenities makes getting by through a work week here awful. They wouldn’t even let me use the break room microwave to heat leftovers. They recommended the coveniently placed (the middle of the parking lot I kid you not) McDonalds for food, or suggested I go to the gas station and ask them. You might consider staying here to if you’re doing drugs- but the manager just yelled at someone for having a cigarette outside so I doubt that too. And with the manager and wait staff always running around youd likely tweak out.I understand the concept of an economy stay but this place really adds new meaning to the term. I’ve slept in bathrooms with more to offer for less. Will recommend we change lodging at earliest availability.

Comment: This place was disgusting. As soon as we walked in the room it smelled mixed between over sprayed baby powdered scent air freshener and cigarette smoke even though it was a non smoking room. There was an ashtray placed upside down with a non smoking sign on it. How ironic is that?! Why even have an ashtray if it’s non smoking?! That confuses people. Then when we go to turn the tv on for our son, the remote didn’t work. So my wife called the front desk and asked if they had batteries. They said we’d have to come get them. So now we’re inconvenienced not once, but twice because not only did the remote not work, but now we had to get the batteries ourselves. Normally they should be bringing it to us. And to top it off, that didn’t even solve the problem. We still had to figure out buttons on the tv itself. The room was filthy. Only the beds were made. The floors looked like they hadn’t been mopped let alone swept for months. There’s dirt and hair all over the floor and in the bathtub. And we have our 4 year old traveling with us. I didn’t feel comfortable letting him play or even walk on the floor barefoot because of how gross it was. We weren’t given any complimentary shampoo, conditioner or lotion bottles, only soap. The A/C didn’t work, there was no microwave or mini fridge so made it hard to feed my kid food we already had packed with us. And because of the A/C not working, we had the window open and was woken up throughout the night by loud people up at all hours of the night and construction on the McDonald’s next door. Unfortunately we had no other choice with everywhere else in the east bay being fully booked, otherwise we wouldn’t have stayed here. If I could give it 0 stars I would. So disappointed in Motel 6 Hayward. It should be closed down and renovated because it gives a vibe of being a “trap motel” aka selling drugs and other illegal activities.

Comment: Ok Motel 6, look, just because you paint a wall and put in some laminate flooring, does not make you a 3..4..or 5 star hotel. Its still a Motel and this facility here is the epitome of what most people think of when its a motel. Back in the days when rooms were 39, 49, and even 59.99, you knew what you were getting. Now basically we get the same crappy rooms and double the prices? Lets get down to it, I had to pay 139.99 before taxes, for a two bedroom, smoking room (only one left). Of course the room stunk, floors are all scratched up, beds are sunken in, bathroom is top 5 nastiest bathroom i had to shower in, and towels are cheap and dont even smell clean. This motel gets alot of labor industry clientele, so i understand some wear and tear, but i also knw that things can and should be cleaned up with more effort, especially when the price point is where its at! I hate that in this area i am forced to come to rooms like this. The bay area is not an inexpensive place, for working class people, that foot their own bill, and its sad that motel 6 is what we get, at least at this level. I dont need the light left on Mr. Motel 6, i need a comfortable, clean place to lay my head down. Please look at your places, and talk to owners and management, you tried to upgrade the rooms, and pass the buck to your customers, but its your owners that need revamping, and educating. The traffic was loud as hell. The shower has hardly any pressure. No fridge no microwave. Beds were incredibly firm. I was in constant discomfort the entire time. It is in bad disrepair. They patched a wood door with drywall patch. There is mold and mildew. Tar is running down the walls from the smoking.

There are only four electrical outlets in the entire room. Two of them are being used by the television and fridge. The other two are in the bathroom. Comment: The worst place Ive encountered in the region. Checked in with the room wasnt cleaned. Got too tired didnt bother to go back to the lady at the counter at almost 3 in the morning. Two nights cost over $192 at noon went in to the office told the manager, the gardener or cleaner blew dirts and dust right through the door and garbage left by previous occupants were never picked up.He said he would send someone to clean up right away. 3 hours back in nothing done.Told another people again, they said they will send the cleaner in 10-15 minutes. I waited and waited till the next day I checked out. No one has ever came by. Suck its totally suck!

A lady from the desk came and said the door was malfunction and show me how to keep pushing the lock down and the knob down until it would eventually open. Comment: Just spoke with office staff on at location to ensure easy access being disabled married to smoker it was incredibly fast easy and efficient Ive stayed before and always treated with respect and easy smiles. Other locations havent been as clean but this one is and located between work and scheduled surgery restaurants gas its a nice one to stay in I always enjoy my time here again the staff makes stay enjoyable check in as and checkout no hassle and always with a smile. Have been doing the hotel thing a month now and 3 weeks to go til escrow closes on house and my hotel days except vacation will be at an end. This location is the one I will miss the most. I feel safe and welcome here not to many locations in Hayward are as cost efficient and clean as this establishment for visiting in the area

Comment: I here update my review because the management here has very recently made great strides in clearing unsightly trash from perimeter of the property and replacing a damaged chain link fence to prevent nomads from cutting across the parking lot. Permanent signage has been posted on the fence to prevent back-in parking and large trucks from taking multiple parking spaces. Now if the rules were just enforced with consequences at night all would be well.And here still stands the Motel 6 with absolutely awesome flushing toilets, but with those clothes-hanging rods installed in a backwards manner resulting in humorous-and-frustrating daily hunts for the little slots for the hangers. The entire staff here is very professional and responsive to all of my desires. My rooms have proven very clean-and-fuctioning except for the puzzling rods mentioned. Unfortunately some of the clientele trash their rooms and the parking lot resulting a lot of extra work-and-disrespect for the wonderful housekeeping team.Know I have appreciated the Motel 6 enterprise since shortly after the 1962 founding of the no-frills lodging chain (when room rates were $6), and will continue to patronize Motel 6 here and elsewhere.I appreciate the proactive approach the management here is taking in addressing some problems. Certainly the trucks do create a congested situation here at night causing a parking shortage and maybe an obstacle for the access of emergency vehicles. Comment: This is not the hotel you want to stay at! I get its a Motel 6, but times are changing and they should be offering more. The rooms are not clean, they do not even provide at least coffee in the room, theres no Do Not Disturb sign. They only give 1 towel, not a set, just 1 single towel. The area is not the greatest location because cars get broken into, windows of cars are broken, bad smell around the area. If you stay more than 1 night, take your stuff with you because the staff (cleaning staff) go into your room to steal; what they do is they open the door to your room very quietly so you dont hear them and they go in; they dont even knock first which what house keeping is supposed to do. Also the staff do not listen, but they were told to not clean the room, but they dont listen or they dont understand the language, which they should speak and understand english. Some of the staff are also lazy because they dont want to do their job at the front desk and print a receipt. There should be negative stars as a rating. Youre better off spending the money at a better hotel or just driving a bit farther if you need lodging.

There is no microwave or fridge which would come on handy especially for people who stay more than 3 days. When i was checking in, i dont know why the receptionist made a comment about my reservation only indicating one guest spending the night when i recalled putting down 2 guest. Anyways, we were given a handicap smoking room that had a strong marijuana odor that was hard to get rid off for the two nights we stayed. We also had no microwave or ref. Also theres no designated parking space for each room and the space was limited, we had to park far from the room n closer to Dennys (the restaurant near it). A good thing about this motel is that its near the freeway, near chevron, mcd, dennys, and lot more known places further down the street. The worse part of our stay was the bed bugs!!! We went home covered with many bites from the motel. It was our first time dealing with bed bugs n it was a struggle during the recovery process. I personally wouldnt recommend this motel. Some staffs were rude and you dont get what you paid for.

Upon arriving the front desk lady was concerned that the room was booked for one person (me) and not for two (me & my signif other), which honestly didnt matter since i requested one bed but she was concerned why expedia didnt ask that during reservation. Anyways, i ended getting a smoking handicap room that reeked with marijuana aroma and the room had no fridge or microwave. The room felt damped, like either the bed sheets werent dried well enough or the rooms humidity somehow made the bedding damp. Also, parking is very limited. One thing I dont like is last week we checked in our room and my 4 year old pointed out something to me.....I Looked and it was a fly that was crawling on the wall. Im glad he saw it because I probably would have not noticed it...it came from in back of the headboard. I ended up Catching it with one of the plastic cups. Other than that I dont ever really feel like our bathroom is clean. Last visit before this last one there was a piece of hair on the toilet seat. Obviously, its nothing fancy but the room was just what I needed at a good price. The bed was comfortable. The room was clean, adequately appointed and well maintained. The AC worked. And the shower/bathroom was clean and functioned perfectly. Being near 880 there is traffic noise but it is mainly a general soft roar that blends with the sound of the AC. I had no problems sleeping. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Not a place Id hang out but for a place to sleep it was just fine.

Comment: 2.99 per device per day for wi-fi is ridiculous. It was one of the most expensive motel 6 in the country. Drug dealers, yes multiple, in the parking lot every night. It surrounds McDonalds and loud music from cars every night. I asked for at least 3 towels and wash cloths and never could get us that many. The people above lived in the room and their kids were up very early every day and the walls are so thin you could here every footstep and bump. My family and I were there four days and I will never stay there again.

Comment: My room smelled musty right when i checked in the bathroom smells like mold i called them about it and they didnt do one thing about it. The vending machines get stuck and they still do nothing. I have 2 kids that shouldnt be around mold so i wasted my time and money on this place. I would not recommend this motel 6 at all. Pay a little more for a better stay.

Comment: I have stay at motel 6 before and never felt unhappy as I was here. First room wasnt ready after 3pm. 2nd I only happen to notice the front door of the room did not close properly had to hold and shut tightly which only found out on accident. 3rd the toilet was not working properly. When checking out I told them of the problems not even a sorry or any ackledgement hope they do fix issues for the next people.

Comment: Standard Motel 6 rooms, but recently updated including laminate floors and a flat screen TV. Internet is $3/day and you must purchase it at the front desk. McDonalds, Dennys and a mini mart next door are convenient. Area seems safe.

Comment: We truly love motel 6. The rentavations being done are super nice love the new wood floors. Also the rates are really nice besides the last one we currently stayed was the priciest one we have stayed at so far we paid about 60 dollars higher than the rest. It was also a really noisy one the traffic around it goes 24n7. We dont like that there is no breakfast really we sometimes pick others over motel 6 just to eat in the morning makes all the difference.

Comment: I called reservations just to ask a question about on line reservations. What had happened was, the person i talked to had booked a room for me for that day and charged my credit card without my consent. I was furious! I had managed to get a refund but i feel that the stress that i went through shouldnt have happened at all! I hope that they fix the problem that i had. Now, the person i talked to in the first place was very nice but didnt quite listen to what I needed.

Comment: It was there when I needed it. All other hotels we were looking for were completely booked, but we called motel 6 and this extremely nice receptionist helped us out. The building was under construction but they werent causing noise, parking was difficult though. But as soon as I stepped into the room I forgot all about my stress because I finally had a clean affordable bed to sleep in.

Comment: The servers are very polite, the rooms are clean, the free-parking is great.However,They put a big sign outside the road saying that WI-FI is here but nearly 1/2 of their room cant get good WI-FI signal. (Seriously, I hold my smartphone on my hand and strolling around to search if theres room to get good signal)Even the lobby can only get one level of WI-FI signal.We paid our access to WI-FI but the signal is too weak so we had no choice but shift our room.If Motel 6 you see this comment, I have no intention to ruin your business but I see you got great income.You may want to spend some money to buy some WI-FI wall breaker to intensify your signal. Its not expensive after all.

Worst of all, I assumed it has free wi-fi, because its online description suggests it. But when I checked in, the staff said I needed to pay another 2.99 for Basic wi-fi service. She even mocked: its available, but it does not mean its free. GIVE ME A BREAK!

Comment: My experience with Motel 6 has always been very pleasant, especially this last visit. The manager in Hayward, on Industrial Prkwy was so helpful and smiley. He made me feel quite safe and at ease. The room was very clean and I especially liked the idea of the wood flooring, since there was no dirty carpet. I liked that. Everything was very neat and clean and quiet.

Comment: I got a really good deal on this motel on New Years and January 2. The room was very clean. However, because of other comments I checked to see if there were any bedbugs; there were none. Has a nice heater/ac. The bathroom was clean. The only problem I had was the card wouldnt open my door right away, and the bathroom door is slightly broken, But I just had to lift it before I closed it. overall great experience.

Comment: I just got home from a stay here mid-August, 2014 for 3 nights in a 2 queen bed room. Newly renovated room, no gross ancient carpet (faux wood floors, GREAT for someone with allergies), and no gross polyester comforter. I checked for any bugs, shells, or blood spots (signs of bugs) behind furnishings, in mattress seams, on sleeping surface, and I found no signs of them. During my stay, I slept in both beds and had no bites. The room smelled completely neutral, and felt very clean.There was a bright orange accent wall, no weird old landscape pictures, the shower was full-sized with a bath tub, the sink was totally new and modern, and there was a nice wood chair near the mirror in the room that I used together as a vanity. I can tell they are trying for a mid-century modern feel, and they accomplished that for a high traffic motel with industrial furnishings.Even though my room backed up against the retaining wall for 880, I didnt hear much highway noise. The area seems like it is zoned for commercial use, and there werent many people around at night, so I felt safe walking around by myself. There is a tasty Waffle House (breakfast and lunch only) and a Target across the street, and a Dennys, McDonalds, and a Gas Station with a Convenience store, all in the same parking lot, and all open 24 hours (McDonalds drive-thru only, Convenience store window service only).The staff were extremely polite and helpful, and there was a good security presence who were on-point every time I observed them. I didnt see any security issues during my stay, but I did see one guard assisting the hotel staff with a vehicle parking issue.Speaking of parking, the lot itself is somewhat chaotic. There isnt a lot of wiggle room, as there are a lot of semi trucks and other professional-use vehicles taking up lots of space meant for standard vehicles. They could probably use some dedicated large lanes, but for now, it was OKAY. Parking the way they did blocked off a lot of parking spots for other residents, which is the only reason I took a star off of my review, but thats not entirely something the hotel staff can control.PROS:EXCELLENT ratesClean rooms!Obviously newly renovatedGreat customer serviceConvenient shopping, restaurants, and fuel.Public transportation bus stop RIGHT in front of McDonalds. Bay Area public transportation is VERY convenient.Samsung flat panel TV in my roomCONS:No coffee pot in-room, but it is available in the lobby.No shampoo/soap/lotion, but there is soap provided.There IS a vehicle entrance to McDonalds from the hotel parking lot, but it is chained off, and the chain isnt easily visible at night.Old doors and old hinges make for lots of squeaks. I fixed mine by rubbing a bit of soap into the hinge. The door to our room let in lots of visible light, and made it harder to cool the room.

Comment: I wish I had of read the reviews before booking an employee here for a week. He informed me on the last day that he had bites all over his arms. When he complained to the staff they said they would change the sheets!! - what good is that going to do??. I called the manager who said he didnt SEE any bugs. I checked back after seeing the bites for myself, and the manager is on vacation. I couldnt get a straight answer as to what is being done about the room. They said someone stayed in the room last night and he has not complained. Well good luck to that poor guy. when he does complain it doesnt appear that action will be taken.

Comment: The prices are fair and I like the quality of the room they keep the design up to date and are very helpful. I enjoy the service the most and upon asking any questions they go out of their way to help you. For instance, I asked for directions and not only did they help me to find the place I was looking for they asked if I needed a cab which was very nice.
