One of the best places for BMW work, I have experience with other BMW shop and this one is the best around Metro Detroit area. Also very good customer service, Becca is really good in explaining the issues and very professional. I will highly recommend this workshop to all of my friends.
I’ve been to Advanced Auto Sports for both brake replacement (front & rear) and for an oil change. Both times they were professional and courteous. Their estimate was accurate and they saved me a great deal of money. I highly recommend them!
I went there for an oil change and they were good with their service on that however I had my TPMS turned on. I informed them that it’s on and I don’t know why as I refilled air just yesterday. They checked and when I got back the car it was off. I’m off to a 1000mile trip the next day of which they were aware of. 50miles into the trip it turned on again and I had family in the car and hence wanted to get it checked again. I took it to Costco and realized there was a mail in my tire. I would expect them to do a thorough check rather than just filling in air to turn off the sensor. If that was chargeable they should’ve atleast told me that.
Went in for routine oil change. I like their appointment and scheduling system. Once on site they showed high professionalism and they completed the task in a adequate time. Their lounge/waiting area is clean and pack with refreshments. I recommend this shop!

Motor City European Repair replaced the rear discs and pads on our Audi A4 and were professional, timely and very competitive. We’ve used them in the past and have been happy with their service.
Do your research before visiting this place for serviceI had my 2011 BMW sitting in the garage for 5 months and wouldn’t start. Got the car jump started but the SERVICE ENGINE SOON light was lit and was idling rough (likely due to misfiring). Read some reviews here about this place that they aren’t that expensive as the dealership. So I took my car there to have it checked up. They quoted around $170 for the CHECK ENGINE light diagnosis and about $150 for the battery check. Told them that it was the SERVICE ENGINE SOON light that was lit and not the CHECK ENGINE light. They insisted that both were the same. One of their technicians said that a SERVICE ENGINE SOON light usually means that there is something wrong with the electrical system. I went ahead and authorized the CHECK ENGINE light diagnosis and declined the battery check. After the checkup, they said that they read codes related to cylinders misfiring and that I needed a new battery. They did not ask for my authorization but did inspect the power steering fluid, drive belt/tensioner, cooling hoses, air filters, fluid leaks, brake pads/rotors, etc and gave me a huge list of repairs that I already was aware of. I still dont follow why they wanted to charge separately for the engine light diagnosis and the battery check, but perform these additional inspections without a charge. They quoted an additional $475 for the battery replacement and the BMW dealership quoted only $345. Id suggest that you do your research before going there blindly like I did.
While the end result was NOT was not what I was expecting, this shop is the real deal. Honest and to the point. Communication was on point, pricing is beyond fair. Like I said, even though my issues was not resolved, it had nothing to do with the technicians/staff. The people here are a step above others. Highly reccomended!

I was only introduced to this shop for the 6 months ago. During this time the customer service has been outstanding. I have a Mercedes Benz convertible that I house in the garage during the winter. When the battery went dead due to inactivity, they came to the house to start the battery. I was driven to the shop for an oil change and received follow-up for any issues.I plan to use this facility as long as I own my vehicle.
We recently bought a 2005 Jaguar S Type. The previous owner had a local shop change the trans fluid and filter. We brought it to Advanced Auto Sports with a transmission leak. Turns out the previous shop broke a bolt, did not replace the wire harness seal (recommended by Jaguar), and used an alternate trans fluid. Blanard (the owner) and his team made the proper repairs and our Jag shifts better than ever and no leaks. Very knowledgeable on European autos and very professional. Everyone treated you like family. We were even provided with a loaner car. I am highly recommending Advanced Auto Sports.
*Update (3/25/22): Just took my 3rd vehicle here for service, based on my prior two positive experiences. Our 2014 MINI just got a new battery and needed for the computer to be reset to register this one. Getting an appointment was easy, the quote for work (along with other recommended services) was presented via text. This allowed me a moment to decide if I wanted addl work done. I received an update text when the work was about to be completed and picked it up when it was promised. Easy.I really like the service quality, pricing and communication provided here. I already sent my neighbor here, and recommend all of you to give them a try!* Update (10/3/21): I took a different vehicle (2016 MINI) for an alignment and battery registration. They performed those services within the time promised at a very fair price. Communication during and after the service was excellent. I had a question after the service, and my concern was addressed quickly and with care. Highly recommend.*Original review: Took my Honda CRV here at the end of April 2020. This was my first service visit, but wont be my last! Everything from appointment setting to diagnosis and repair could not have gone better. Great communication throughout the service was one of the reasons, and proper repair keeping my budget in mind was the other. Extra care and cleaning of my interior was a bonus!

Advanced Auto Sports did exceptionally great job on my 2006 car. They fixed steering problem, shimmering and overall tighten the car. I feel that I got a new car from the store. Absolutely amazing! Recommend this business to everyone.

I’ve worked with Advanced Auto Sports several times and the work has been great every time. They do a great job getting the car fixed in a timely manner, and I haven’t run into any issues getting a loaner if the situation called for it. 03/20/2019My sister from Chicago recommended this business and has been going here for years. I assumed she would be using a repair shop in Chicago. But she said she would always make it a point to visit when she needs repair or regular maintenance work on her BMW because she has trust and confidence in their work.I have to say I whole heartedly agree. They have exceeded my expectations with their courtesy, communication and professionalism.I was explaining to someone how detailed they were with their work and she immediately asked for their info and will be happy she did.They work on all cars, not just sports and imports. Also their prices are almost half of what you would pay at a dealership. My Audi was in three different repair shops for over a year. The last shop was Audi dealer. Had to return it three times. Thousands of dollars and two months later. The dealer told me. My engine was blown. New/ used engine was 16,000 to 24,000 Thousand. So I took it to Advanced Auto Sports. This has got to be the most honest shop owner I have ever talked to. I needed new brakes for my wifes Audi and the wheel lock was missing. The Audi dealer wanted me to make an appointment for a 10 minute fix, the only available date they had was a week away. I found Advanced Auto group through google and I can honestly say I have never seen or heard of better service. I was treated like family although it is my first time using them. I will be back for any and all future issues with my Audi. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!
Ive been taking my vehicles (Land Rover, Nissan and Toyota) to Advanced Auto Sports for at least the past 5 years for sure. I’ve used Advanced Auto Sports to inspect and service my CPO 435 Gran coupe x drive. They are reasonably priced and are experts working on foreign cars. Recently just had a brake flush done and a general inspection (which they do on every car) and am quite happy with the professionalism and ease of dealing with the shop. They had a nice lock box setup to ape me to pick my car up after hours and payment of bill electronically. Would highly recommend for BMW owners.
The moment I called Advance Auto Sports, they were ready to assist me with getting my headlight repaired. Once I came into the shop, I felt taken care of, was offered a tour for how they were handling sanitation and services during this time, and could tell that they want their customers to be comfortable if they need to wait for their vehicles to be ready. It was nothing less than professional and I immediately felt like I could trust them with my vehicle. The repair took less than 24 hours, I could pay online, and I am able to pick up my vehicle on my time. This has been a great customer experience, thank you!

This place is amazing and Im so happy that I found it. I was sick of being overcharged during my Schedule A & B services and figured that Id branch out and look for a local maintenance repair shop for my vehicle. Luckily I selected this place which actually turned out to be an awesome option. Specifically, I went in to get a wheel alignment and 2 tires put on. They actually did a complimentary full inspection on my Mercedes C300 and took pics and everything. They informed me that I didnt even need a wheel alignment. I was shocked. Mainly because a great deal of maintenance shops would have just told me they did it and taken my money, knowing they did nothing. Spark plugs were needed though, which I allowed them to go ahead and do. I was just so happy that they even did a full inspection because I didnt even ask for it. However, I was overdue for one, since I had only gotten an oil change at some local oil change place about a month earlier and that was it. I was tired of going to the Dealership and finding out that I have to pay between $1000-$2000 to fix things that they claimed were wrong so I tried to avoid even going. Now I dont need to go to them since I found this place! I am so pleased! Additionally, I spoke with them on how they do the regular maintenance and was told that they dont just charge you a flat rate like the dealership does their Schedule A & B services. They only charge you for what is wrong and needs to be fixed, such as my spark plugs on that visit. Blanard was such a great help and even recommended ways to help me keep my car intact and a body shop to assist with a scratch on my car. Thank you so much AAS!!!

I own a 2001 BMW 325CI Convertible. Ive had the vehicle for more than 5 years and have had a lot of difficulty finding a non-dealer auto repair shop that was qualified and competent to be able to work on my car. Many repair shops have told me they were qualified but were unable to make repairs successfully. People just seem to be unwilling to say that theyre not qualified to work on my car. Finally, I found Blanard at Advance Auto Sports. I have been extremely pleased with the repair work theyve performed on my car. This repair shop is not only competent but very professional. In addition, theyve treated me very courteously and were always willing to go the extra mile to help. I would highly recommend this service shop to anyone. You will not be disappointed!!!! Had a Great Experience with them. 2018 BMW X1 with 23,500 miles needed new front brakes. BMW dealer couldn’t tell me why this happened and wanted to charge me 25% more to fix a non warranty repair.Brakes were done and dashboard lights were turned off. Have driven german cars for many years and they did a terrific job. Brakes work so much better. Would highly recommend them. I am so excited and ultimately feel like I have finally found the perfect auto repair service. I found out about this business through a mailer and gave them a call. I was immediately put at ease and had a large degree of trust from the initial phone conversation I had with Becca. Great place, friendly and very understanding. I have been here thrice, the first time was when I had an accident, the dealer said it would take longer time and no loaner, I went to Advanced Auto Sports and they were quick to help me out and even provided me with a loaner for the next couple weeks. Secondly, had a coolant issue and they fixed it for free and very recently I also got my oil change done. Quick, affordable/cheap and very convenient. Shout out to Marc for helping me in all three instances.
I took in a vehicle we were thinking of buying for a pre purchase inspection. They were able to get us in same day and within a couple hours completed a comprehensive inspection of the vehicle inside and out (it was in perfect concoction and there were no repairs or maintenance needed per their inspection).The service level and customer service was top notch and they were truly a pleasure to work with. I was due for the 40K mile service for my Volvo XC-60 and was shopping around a bit for pricing at the local dealerships. I found that the dealerships were asking exorbitant prices for the 40k service, which did not even include the normal oil change pricing. I started hunting around for independent shops and came across Advanced Auto Sports, who already had stellar reviews. They were professional, courteous and competitive on pricing.Some things that I really liked about my experience with Advanced Auto Sports include:-Estimates are made available to you electronically, where you can view pricing and approve of each work item that needs to be done-They were very responsive and helpful over the phone-They use email and text messaging for communication-They have a good drop-off/pick-up system-They even offered to drive me back and forth all the way across town if I wasnt able to arrange my own transportationAnyway, I was very happy with the service and pricing and will be back for future maintenance needs.
I use Advanced Auto Sports for all services on my 2012 Audi Q5 . This time I had the rear brakes done and I asked them for an investigation on a clunk noise in the front of the vehicle as second opinion. I got an expensive estimate from another dealer and wanted to make sure. I am really happy that I took my car there, because they put the time and effort on it and found an issue with correct tightening down of bolts on a subframe bracket. That did the trick . I am happy that they found the issue and I did not have to replace the control arms and steering parts as suggested by the other dealer. This expertise combined with the friendly professional service made my day .Thank you Blanard , Becca and Mike for the effort, service and solving the problem for a good price. Really recommend them

I went to Advanced Auto Sports due to my 2008 BMW X5 having the High Temp Light come on. I was a Walk-in and new to the shop. The team came right out, started looking the vehicle over, put it on the scan tool immediately. Found out I needed a new electric water pump. Told me they wouldnt charge me for the diagnostic because it was so quick to diagnose the problem. Fixed it for about 1/3 less than what the dealer charged. I will always take my foreign vehicles to these guys. Quick, professional, and a family run business. Fair prices and they want happy customers. Glad I came in!
My, oh my, oh my! We bought a BMW from a Shady car auction in Harvey, Illinois for our16 year son! We spent $2000 more in repairs just to get back to Monroe, Mi! We found another shady guy in DH to repair his BMW, wasnt feeling good about that person with about 50 cars waiting to be repaired! I Googled and called Advanced Auto! Blanard answered phone sounded confident about our issues! We went and the autoshop was clean! Blanard went to car with my 16 year old Son and came back with his theory! I asked a question! He went out again and checked then drove car into shop, went out there with me and told me so much stuff! We bought a very bad vehicle! But Blanard gave me best and worse case scenarios!, informed me that we should have and estimate of everything before close or no later that next day! We got it later that day! Estimates came in later! We were able to pick and choose what was most critical and needed! Blanard, upon us returning went to car with my son and went through EVERYTHING about driving a BMW, maintaining it, and stuff to get him through being such a young driver and owning such a vehicle! I was pleased! Becca, the front lady, was very nice and we talked about Mom/Girl stuff! Service there was EXCELLENT and I thanked God for giving us such service after being screwed over by buying such a car! Blanard made sure that car was well taken car of, knowing that my most precious cargo was on board! I am very tearfully pleased! Blanard also made sure we had the number to call if i or my son had ANY questions or concerns! Took my 07 Accord there on recommendation, and they did not disappoint! I had to replace two brake discs and pad sets, get the brake fluid lines flushed, and replace the wiper fluid pump; even during Thanksgiving week they were dedicated, thorough, and expedient, and got it all taken care of in just a couple of days. Marc is the one who looked at my car and did most of the repairs, and he was very courteous and personable. They even washed the car and changed the plastic garbage bag I was using for trash! Little touches like that definitely go a long way.Great service, great people. Ill definitely go there again.
Last year I took my 2001 Audi S4 (B5 platform) in to Advanced Auto Sports to get my A/C repaired. They found that an A/C line was in need of replacement and I gladly approved the replacement of the part. When I went in to pick up the car the A/C was still blowing hot air and the car was misfiring and had a check engine light on. When I dropped the car off with the shop the vehicle was in perfect running order but when I picked it up it was clearly running very poorly. When I began asking questions the response was that a connector got disconnected as they took the car through a car wash. Clearly that was a fabrication as the car was filthy. I kept pushing to get answers until finally the service advisor said that the technician drove the car the way it was meant to be driven. They essentially admitted to joy riding in my car when they had no reason to do so as I took it in for A/C work. I informed the shop that it sounded like an intercooler hose popped off when they were joy riding the car and it turned out thats exactly what the problem was. I will never go back to this shop as they were careless with my car and they were unprofessional. I expect more out of a specialty shop. If you have a modified Euro car Id recommend not wasting your time with these folks and utilize a shop that will respect you and your ride.

It was exact and adequate for the amount of work performed. I wish I would have came here first. The last place cost me 3,000 and the car was still having the same issue. The team over at Advanced Auto Sports is top notch. Everyone from Marc (the service consultant) to Mike (lead technician) to Blanard (the owner) was extremely professional and took my concerns to heart. In my opinion, everything from the front of the house to the back of the house experience is next level. From the cleanliness of their facility to the time they spent explaining to my cars mechanical issues was first class. They saved me money by bringing creative solutions to the table, searching for best pricing from third party OEMs and offering me a loaner while my car was in repair. They even delivered my car to me freshly washed, cleaned the exterior and interior. I would highly recommend that you bring your car to these guys. This is the best shop in the area hands down.
Best auto service center in town! Had service done here On a 2010 BMW a couple months back and these guys diagnosed and fixed a problem in 3 hours. The BMW dealership wanted my car for 3 days, and couldn’t even diagnose the problem. Price was very fair. Honesty and Quality...something we all need more of!
After recently moving to the area, I was thrilled to find that Advanced Auto Sports lived up to its strong ratings online. The team has been very efficient and communicative for both urgent and routine car care needs. The shop also offers loaners and local shuttles, which I was happy to utilize to reduce transportation costs. I am glad to be a customer at a locally owned business that is trustworthy and knowledgeable about my Volkswagen, while avoiding dealership costs.
The stress of your car dying in the parking lot can be a bummer. The staff went above and beyond to diagnose the issue and fix it for me. I am so glad I was impressed with the friendliness of the staff when I had my first oil change so when my car had issues I confidently knew who I needed to call. So I bought what seemingly turned out to be a lemon car from a dealership in January, the issues began to present themselves not much later. I couldn’t find a mechanic to diagnose nor actually fix the issues I was having. After getting multiple estimates and running in circles I was blessed enough to find Advanced Auto Sports. I’m young, I don’t know much about cars at all and I’ve obviously been played a few times in this automobile world. Advanced auto sports was honest from the start, they helped and were patient with my warranty and they treated me as if I was family. Becca was such a HUGE help and really went above and beyond for me making my experience with this place even more memorable. I went in only to get some mechanical issues fixed but I’ve come out with a lifetime mechanic! They are great, I really couldn’t rave about them more. Take your car, thank me later.
I got my 2015 Mercedes C300 engine check light issue. The charge was reasonably lesser when compared to the dealership and I have driven it for a couple months now (really long drives) and there have been no problems at all. Good professional work! Definitely recommended for all European cars
I have a 2015 328 xi with 30,000 miles on it. I had run into an issue with some warning lights on the dash, car was driving just fine. I took it to my regular mechanic and he told me there was NO COMMUNICATION with the scanner. We tried a different scanner with the same result. So we looked online and saw this place. Reviews seemed good and we called to see what they could do. Story short, we took the car there. We told him the issue on the phone and we explained the issue while there. They told us about the initial $130 to diagnose the problem, we agreed and left the car there on a Tuesday morning at 8AM. 3 days later after multiple phone calls, Mark told me he was 80% in and he just needed $125 extra because he needed extra time to figure it out. We agreed. A week passed and we went through the second week, multiple phone calls again to be told he would call us back with a result. He called and said that (after 2 weeks) he was getting NO COMMUNICATION with the scanner, and he suggest to take it to the dealer and that I owed him $255. After disagreeing with him because we were still at square 1 with NO COMMUNICATION being our problem they took 2 weeks to tell me there was NO COMMUNICATION. The owner waived the fee and told us the car would be outside for us to pick up. Money is not the issue. We are upset that the vehicle was kept for two weeks, we made the phone calls to check on the progress, they made the phone calls to discuss money. The front sign said they are the next best to the dealer.. We made an appointment with the dealership at 8 am this morning. They called by noon with a diagnosis and repair. Cost was minimal and all warning lights are gone. Now we have perfect COMMUNICATION.We are giving one star due to the amount of time they kept the car, and of course not being able to figure it out.
I am really happy with the service I received at Advanced Auto Sports. I found this place when my supervisor referred it to me. I was going to take my Chevy Equinox to the Chevy service. They had given me a quote for multiple repairs for well over $2500. I decided to take a chance and go check this place out. Just my first impression told me that these guys really know what they are doing and they are not about to give me a bill which will cost more than my car. I have been a BMW owner (and fan) for more years than I care to recount. In that time, I have never run across a repair facility that goes to the level that these people do to make sure everything is done correctly, on time, and as quoted. They have experts on numerous makes of imports, and the proper tools to complete almost any repair as it should be done. Great service, great rates, no corners cut, plus exceptional customer service. They have my business, and more importantly my recommendation. Still wondering if they are the right fit for you and your car? I have been an engineer for 30+ years, so Im not easily impressed, but the staff at Advance Auto Sports rates a full 5 out of 5 in my opinion.

While removing my A/C pressure switch they broke my condenser. They lost the censor! When I brought this to their attention they said they refused to take responsibility. The censor I purchased they lost so they agreed to not charge me for the censor but, still refused to take responsibility. I’ve been fighting with them for 2 years in this and finally was ready to just bite the bullet and pay for it. Now they won’t even cover the censor and just hung up on me! Completely unprofessional and refuse to take responsibility! Be aware! These guys are crooks!
Bernard was very professional and responsive, I took my Maserati GrandTorismo there for oil change, they did a great job, cleared the service light, and even cleaned the dirt on window for me. Not to mention the reasonable price they charge comparing to dealership. I seen a lot German car, which is the cars they specialize in, would recommend to anybody who owns a German/Italy car.

Excellent service. Advanced Auto Service did a comprehensive system check and emailed me a report with all details. I needed a new battery (which I knew already), oil change (also knew), air filter and cabin filter. I asked them to replace the brakes if needed, but the system showed I still had some pad left so they did not replace them. Nice to see an auto service company that does NOT do unnecessary work. Advanced Auto Sports was able to get me in right away, and because I live within walking distance, they were a very convenient option. Took my car in for an alignment after a tie-rod replacement. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable . My pick up time and service cost were exactly what I was quoted. Work quality was excellent, I even got a before and after printout showing my wheel alignments. Staff pointed out some things I should monitor on my vehicle without trying to sell me any other services. Very professional overall. I will definitely be taking them up on their coupon for a 4 wheel balance and rotation in the future!

Great customer service!!! I’ve been in twice for an oil change and repair work. My last visit I thought I would have had to Uber home but was given a ride and they offered to pick me up once my car was finished. The service on my car met my satisfaction and was done in the time they quoted me. They even had a monthly payment option as well. I was a little worried about where to go after my car was out of warranty; glad to have found Advanced Auto Sports because this is where I’ll be going for any future service needs on my car. Update: Ive always liked Advanced Auto for a good compromise between service and price. However lately Ive had some quality issues. Most recently after picking up my car with new rear brake lines and a brake fluid flush the brake pedal nearly went to the floor. Did they not do a test drive to check their work? Just happy I noticed and had it fixed rather than my wife picking the car up and driving home. A quality issue related to safety is pretty disappointing and worrying.Fair prices and honesty are why I always come back to Advanced. They always do good work and I trust their opinion. Highly recommended.
I really had a great experience with advanced auto sports. I recently took my vehicle as it needed front and rear brake discs and pads. Initially, the front desk manager, Tony (who btw is a great helper) told me they had to do an inspection for a nominal fee to determine what needed to be serviced/replaced. I was skeptical at the beginning as I thought these guys will add more services that will cost me more $$, but I agreed to this plan and left my car at the shop. Soon after I got a call from Tony with inspection findings which only needed front brakes with the rear brakes still in good shape - rest of inspections also showed no issues. At my request, they went ahead and replaced the rear brakes too. The charges were very reasonable too.Summary, based on my experience, these guys are professional and treat you with respect - no gimmicks. Also, rest your mind in peace when they say an inspection needs to be completed prior to giving you a quote for the work- this is legitimate and they will remove this inspection cost if you decide to complete the actual work.
Very professional staff. They worked diligently with my third party extended warranty company even though this company was pushing them around. But, they didn’t give up. I went to Advanced Auto Sports at the recommendation of a friend. When I initially contacted Advanced Auto Sports and explained the issues with my vehicle they gaurenteed they would be able to beat the dealers estimate for repair. They stay true to their word. They provide a warranty on all of their work so there is no need to worry about the job getting done correctly the first time.They also completed a complimentary vehicle inspection and provided a detailed report of the vehicles condition along with photographs. The vehicle inspection report was delivered electronically through text or email and is convenient and easy to understand. This shop appeared extremely busy yet it didnt seem to affect their communication with me at all. If youre sick of dealing with your car dealership service department give this place a try.
This is kinda a 2 company review. My Son located a Jeep Cherokee from Kings Auto Parts that they had rebuilt. I live in Colorado. I wanted to have the Jeep checked out prior to me flying out and looking at it. Advanced Auto Sports helped my out by sending one of their mechanics to go and pick up the car take it back to the shop and did a full review of the Jeep. I felt so much better knowing that they looked over the Jeep. Marc was extremely helpful with my questions. So a big high 5 to both Advanced Auto Sports in Farmington Hills Mi and ti Kings auto parts. I ended up purchasing the jeep and it drove like a dream back to Colorado. Good new I maybe out there in a few weeks to do this all over again for a truck they are fixing up now!
Had a check engine light on my 2006 Mercedes ML350. They quickly diagnosed the problem and gave me a list of options to deal with it. Wound up replacing all six coils and spark plugs. One of the replacement spark plugs malfunctioned, but they quickly diagnosed that and replaced it at no charge. Great to have a shop that can give dealership quality service (better, actually) on foreign make vehicles.
I took my Audi A5 with a broken wheel and a bent tire rod two days before i was supposed to leave for my vacation. Took my car in for a 4 wheel alignment. Got great service at a fair price and was able to get spec sheet for alignment as well as talk to the technician that performed the work. Performed a thorough inspection and found minor issues that were missed by Mercedes two weeks ago at the scheduled B Service. Had rear brakes replaced on a Mercedes C43 for less than dealer cost. I have been using Advanced Auto Sports for maintenance and repairs for the last few years. I took my 2015 Audi Q5 for regular service @62000 miles. One of my rear shocks was leaking and needed replacement. Blanard, walked me through the other service needs for the vehicle. I scheduled the appointment the next week and dropped off the car. They called me back the next day with everything taken care off. Great cutomer service and professionalism as usual. Two Thumbs Up!

Needed to diagnose coolant fault code. I had been chasing this issue for a while and taking it to a shop was my next step. Talked to Blanard at this place and explained everything that was going on and told him about all the work I had done on the car. At first, we agreed on diagnostics but as he did more research on the problem, he suggested that my new thermostat might have been faulty and recommended replacing it with an OEM one. Blanard was honest and straight forward in telling me that I would be better off giving that a try first since I was able to replace it myself as I had done before. He was right on point. I replaced the thermostat with an OEM one and the issue has gone away. I would highly recommend this place because of Blanards honesty, knowledge, and willingness to help. Even though I did not end up getting any work done there at the time, I will surely come back if I ever need any professional work done on my Audi. Thanks for the advice.

He provided me with a lot of applicative and interesting information about the anatomy of cars, and about the preventive measures that car owners should take to have a hassle-free driving experience. I was also pleased with the cost of service and parts. My car has been driving a lot smoother and with a vastly improved throttle response, ever since.
Brought my car in for a pre purchase inspection and was pleasantly surprised at how thorough it was, I was provided a link to a checklist that went through everything they checked, and even included pictures of all the issues theyd found. In addition, I was provided a quote for all of the repairs they recommended. Of the issues they discovered, the brake lines were rusted pretty badly, which was a major safety concern to me. I had them replace them, and was happy with their service. It was done quickly(PPI took one day, brakes took two days as they needed a part to come in iirc) and for a fair price. Everybody I talked to was very up front and knowledgeable as well.
I like their new location which is easier to get to for me. They are always helpful in giving advice and can usually get me in for service the next day - unlike the week plus wait at dealership. I wish they would record the car mileage on their invoices so we know when to return.

The team at AAS have worked on my VW twice and have done quality work. This past time they had to wait for a part from Germany but got right on it as soon as it came in. Always professional and very knowledgeable when describing the work needed and done. I much prefer bringing my vehicle here than the dealership, as the cost is fair. My only request or suggestion would be a system that updates the customer (me) with more frequency, even if there is nothing to report. For me, just knowing that there is progress going on if a benefit. I dont ever like to have to contact someone to find out what is going on with my car/account/etc. I confidently recommend them should anyone need honest, fair, and quality work.
Great service, extremely nice staff, fare pricing. Repair of 2015 VW Golf TDI water pump and timing belt replacement. Referred to Advanced Auto Sports by Steve from towing company. Saved me $667.00 on repair. Marc helped me out and really went out of his way. When there was a hold up on parts, Marc set me up with a free loaner 2005 Mercedes E500 station wagon. When I returned my car was washed, interior swept, dash wiped off and mats cleaned. I’m very satisfied with the whole experience. I’ll refer Advanced to others.

Beware. I took my daughters Jeep to Advanced Auto Sports several months ago and was told the transmission needed flushing at 100,000 miles. I took it in to be done a month ago and was told I badly needed back brakes done, rotors and pads. They insisted we should get them done very soon, and said it would be $344. I took the Jeep to my local brake guy who has done brakes for us for years, Top Value Car and Truck, in Farmington Hills (friendly, fair and honest). They checked all four brakes and found them to be in excellent condition, with many miles left on them. I would be very careful of any repairs Advanced Auto recommends, and get a second opinion.

Their quote was the cost quoted. There were a couple of secondary things to watch, and will be reviewed after my next 10,000 mile oil change.A second follow up the next, Marc called me and asked how my Audi A4 was breaking and handling, perfect was my response.

Alan and the team at Advanced Auto Sports will not let you down. They do an amazing job, very thorough, always explain any necessary details, very good pricing and very honest!! They never do any unnecessary work either. In fact I had an issue with a rear seatbelt and the dealer said it had to be replaced for a fee of $800. The guys at AAS checked it thoroughly, made some minor tweaks and said there was no need to replace it. Saved us $800! They work very hard to get you in when its convenient for you and when you need to wait for parts, they continue to follow up with you until it comes in. Car was repaired in 1 day and received a call it was done.I was texted an on line payment link (SO easy to use) When I picked up the car, the carpet had been vacuumed, dash cleaned and all the touch surfaces had been cleaned. Very knowledgeable about the ins and outs of a BMW. Thorough multi-point inspection that comes with detailed assessment, recommendations, and pictures. Pricing seems reasonable.For the typical person that does not really care for his / her vehicle, the pictures give you a well-informed decision aside from the assessments and recommendations because it gives you an actual view of what is wrong.The shop does not specialize in aftermarket changes and would prefer to work with stock OEM. Inquire first before disregarding, they might be able to fix depending on the aftermarket changes.The only reason I couldnt give this place a fifth star is because I did not have any work done on my vehicle, so many problems have revealed itself that I should consider just getting a new car.Nevertheless, I would recommend this place.

We decided to give them a shot and we are glad they did. Their customer service was top notch and they were clearly extremely knowledgeable about Volvos. My car would not let me fill it with gas at full blast, the gas pump would click off every .7 gallons. So I brought my 335i in and Advanced Auto did not stop until they found the problem. Turns out that it was an improper installation of another part from KDS Automotive in Northville. Advanced Auto fixed my car and I could not be happier. I will be going back to them in the near future.

For the first time across three major cities in three states, I feel like Ive found an independent shop run by true professionals. Blanard and the crew at Advanced clearly take pride in their work and strive to be the best. They probably are. Just overhearing the conversation among the service writers and mechanics makes it clear that (a) these guys enjoy their work and (b) they have a deep knowledge of the diagnostic and maintenance issues affecting modern luxury/performance cars. Would recommend without hesitation! A fantastic place to get your car fixed with reasonable price and proper care. If your car is a VW made, this is the right place to go. They have specialists for the VW’s special engine structure. My engine was took care by them several days ago due to the engine light issue. From VW dealer report, they gave me bunch of problems and take chance to sell me expensive parts(around 2k). Finally, the real reason for that is because the sensor problem thanks to Advanced Auto Sports. Problem solved within two hours and bucks no exceed than 100 bucks. They also offer ride to the nearest spot like mall during the time your car is fixed. Awesome!

When my engine blew up in my Aston Martin, the deal wanted a fortune to repair it. I needed help! A friend of mine recommended Sam and the rest of the Advanced team. I took my 2016 Mercedes CLA250 in for a B service as well as some vibrations I was feeling in my steering wheel. I truly appreciated the deep care I got from the technician as well as the office staff. The service got completed to the T for a fraction of the cost you would pay at the dealership and they also educated me on everything else that was going on with my vehicle, including the vibrations. At the end I was provided with a full analysis report that included pictures of everything diagnosed.

Just moved from Virginia back in November and didnt know anybody or any mechanics. Went to these guys, after i was referred to them by another mechanic. These guys are simply the greatest people you will meet. Great mechanics with great personalities. Never try to rip you off, always giving you good prices. After every fix, without asking, they show you what was wrong and the old parts and what was wrong with them. Biggest blessing Ive had since Ive moved here all on my own. Beside the delay to get the parts from Germany ( I have an AMG C55, not the most common vehicle in US), the work done on my vehicle was really good.The team is really welcoming, knowledgeable and they keep you in the loop on the work done and also if theres some delay, something not all places have the courtesy to do.Great experienceFrederic
Great place, the people are super friendly and helpful. They even followed up a week later to ensure everything was fine. They did the work really fast and the price/quite they gave me is cheaper than all the other places I went to. Will definitely be back again if I have anything wrong with my car.
I pulled in, because it was the closest garage, and my Enclave was having difficulties. Now, weeks of delays later, ranging from the loss of a technician, to an injury, to other things, a repair that was already over $3,000.00 has ballooned up, further, and Ive had to pay for a rental car, all this time, over the delays, tacking another $1,500 onto the price that Ive got to pay AAS. I was told that something would be taken off the back end to compensate me for paying over $1,500 for rental fees through the delays, and that turned out to be just $100.00. These delays have been extremely costly, over and above the repair bill, which, Im told, will be around $3,500,00, now, after about a month in the shop. Unless absolutely necessary, I dont see myself using this garage, ever again.ADDENDUM: Within about a quarter hour, the owner contacted me, and told me that hed try working with me on the rental vehicle and costs. Some money was taken off, and the rental fees were somewhat alleviated, as well. Regardless of how this happened, the owner made it verbally clear that he was there to make me happy and work with me, and to insure I didnt walk away with a negative impression about his company. That went a long way towards putting a balm on this, and calming a lot of things down.
Came here with a problem from another shop...Not only did they completely eliminated the problem (water in headlights), but were also extremely reasonable with the charges. Since, I have now fixed both mine and my wifes vehicles and the service was exceptional both times. There is a comfortable waiting area with a TV and full cable, so waiting is fairly comfortable. Overall A+
Quite frankly, Advanced Auto is one of the best auto repair shops that I have used. They are a full service repair shop, from collision work, to maintenance and engine repair. Blanard and the team are honest and fair and will only recommend the work that is necessary. Recently I brought my wifes Traverse for a collision repair and the work was outstanding, with the paint mathcing perfectly. As far as engine repair, the mechanics at Advance are very knowledgeable, both with Domestic and Import vehicles. About the same time that I had my Traverse body work done, my 2009 Saab 9-3 required a valve and head gasket replacement. The work was done as promised and the car runs like it is brand new. In summary, if you are looking for an alternative to the dealership, then look no further than Advance Auto Sports.
I used these guys to do a pre-purchase inspection on a VW that I was buying in the Detroit area, as I live in Knoxville, TN. They were accommodating, as I asked them to be my eyes on the ground. The write up report was impressive, better than some other report Ive seen. There was a web link that took you to a site that had a color grading for the individual component of the van with pictures and notes if it addressed problem area. ie tires, brakes, windshield etc.After reviewing the report, I had some follow up questions for the mechanic. They made time for the call, but they struggled to answer specific details on these questions. Answering vaguely. Leaving me with questions still, as I could not physically see the van.I went forward with the purchase. Once I got it down to Knoxville and then over to my local VW shop, they were able to confirm everything Adv. Auto Sport identified. BUT...there was one major over sight. Adv. Auto Sport missed a transmission pan gasket leak. This set me back about $700. Knowing this information up front would have been nice to have in my negotiations with the seller.Customer service: 5 starsCommunication: 5 starsWould have given 4 stars if it was not for this oversight in the transmission leak.

I purchased a 2011 SAAB 9-3 site-unseen over the internet. I am 375 miles away from where the car was located and I asked AAS to perform a pre-purchase inspection ($100). I expected a little more in terms of communicating their findings, they just said: Car is great, maybe you need new spark plugs. That was it. At the end I was happy they did it that way, now I own the car and it is really great. AAS didnt tell me about the damaged front bumper and the cracked air shield. Maybe I wouldnt have bought the car. I am happy that I did.
They did courtesy free examination and gave me a proper quote. I have used them since couple of years already and happy with their services.

Had my car towed to the shop. My 2001 Jeep Cherokee had a malfunction with the air conditioning system which caused the car to seize. Was done the next day! Also did a helpful inspection to make sure my car was ready for the Michigan winter.This is my 5th car being serviced at Advanced Auto Sports. My trusted hometown mechanic.
They will not standby their work. took my car 4 weeks ago and feel that the diagnosis was not done correctly and the problem never got resolved. there has been no acknowledgement. I have been going to this place for some time and have liked them in the past. the folks in the front desk have changed and it does not feel the same and did not get the service I so appreciated in the past. not taking my car back to this place.

I own 2002 Toyota highlander it was shifting funny and getting stuck on 2nd gear. I took it to USA Transmission in the same strip mall as advanced auto because of the good reviews on Google. I dropped my car and left it there for a week . After a week I dont get a call or anything, so I call talked to the owner he said we checked the computer and no codes were coming from the transmission and its internal problem and I would need the trans to be rebulit or replaced and it will cost me around $2300-$3000. I asked them if they wanted to buy the car since i didnt want pay tgat high repair and they were not interested . I took it to ADVANCED AUTO I wanted to see if they might be intersted in buying my car since i didnt want to pay for new trans. So I went there talked to the owner name Sam I asked him if he is interested in buying my car with supposedly bad transmission. He offered to check it for free to make sure it was a bad transmission, he brought the code machine with him and came up with a faulty solenoid.He said you dont have bad transmission all you have is a bad solenoid. So he fixed it for less than $400 with new filters and fluids.Thanks advanced auto.Sam is honest, knowledgeable, easy to talk to person. He even explain how things work. If youre looking for honest, knowledgeable shop take your car to Advance Auto.

Just beware. Peel back the onion and they are not what they promote. Brakes, tires, tune ups, etc., yes. But anything more complex, use the dealership. Your car will be repaired the first time and youll save way more money in the long run.

Professional, transparent, and reasonably priced. The staff take the extra steps to make sure you understand the issues and the alternatives available. The workspace provided is a nice touch to get work done while you wait.
Be weary of this shop. They were very inconsistent with the reports the gave me of the status of my cars repairs and ended up making me miss a month of work up until now and I still have to pay for repairs elsewhere.

Really bad repair the last two times. 1st I took my ML350 for rear brake replacement and they used some really bad brake pads and rotors. Rotors are rusting so bad and brakes feels really soft. A week later I took my GL450 for AC repair and minor coolant leak problem where I just had to top it once a month. Just picked up my vehicle key from after hours drop box. The AC is worst than it was and the coolant is now pouring down the radiator. Not good.Update 6/14: The rear brakes on ML350 now has faults in the cluster. I took it to another shop, they said that the rotors are wrong.
The service is great and they work with me to help fix the problems on my mini Cooper. Im very happy with how responsive they are.
Completed repairs to my front and rear facias/bumpers. Looks like NEW and this team knew what they were doing. I am an automotive engineer and I will return to Advanced Auto Sports. GREAT work!!

2022-04-25I have been spending an arm and a leg at the Mercedes-Benz dealership so I gave Advanced Auto Sports a call. I spoke with a young lady named Becca who was professional, courteous, and instantly made me feel like a valued customer although I hadn’t spent a dime with them. I made an appointment and when I arrived she and the staff were just as professional & courteous in person as they were on the phone.They explained every recommended service in detail and I did not feel pressured into getting a service that I didn’t necessarily need. Overall saved over $500 for my service that I was going to have performed at a MB dealership.Advanced Auto Sports has gained a new customer who who will return again.

2022-01-10This is my first visit to Advanced Auto Sports. I had read their reviews on Google and decided to take my 2012 BMW 335i for service. I really liked their professionalism, quick inspection, online authorization request that includes the cost of repair before starting the work. They kept providing updates often. They have a very good lounge with WiFi that helped me to work while waiting. Becca and Blanard were very friendly and provided detailed information on what was done on the car. My car feels much better to drive now. I will definitely recommend this shop.

2022-02-14These guys are perfect ! Process to repair estimate is straightforward. They provide the estimate (both price and time), recommend repairs , do not press on doing something by scaring you, against your wish. In my case, they suggested what can wait and what should take priority based on budget +safety. The identification of problem and recommendation was spot on. Car driving experience has noticeably improved after the repairs. Kudos to the team! Definitely recommended for VW make cars.

2022-04-27I am beyond thankful for finding this business. I got my BMW X3 repaired last week at this business. The owner Blanard and his staff member Luca provided me with a custom experience that beat any BMW dealership experience by leaps and bounds. They even called about an hour after dropping my vehicle off to tell me that my initial quote that I agreed to was dropping by almost $300. They really could’ve kept the money and I would’ve been none the wiser. They picked me up after they closed to accommodate my work schedule. They let my 4 year old pick out snacks to take home and enjoy. I appreciate the honesty and integrity displayed with this company. They are the bar! You will not be disappointed! 2022-05-09Its hard finding a reputable import (Audi / European) repair shop in the South Lyon-Howell-Brighton Urban Area. I found Motor City Euro Repair by calling a few shops for budgetary pricing after a local popular all makes shop gave me an outrageous quote on a simple wheel bearing replacement for an Audi Q5. Blanard (owner) answered the phone personally, was very accommodating and provided an estimate that was instantly half the price of the other shops quote. He was very transparent, extremely knowledgeable and helpful. The entire repair process could not have gone more smoothly: dropped my car off in the morning, received a diagnostic report and estimate that same day and had a repaired car the very next morning. Oh, did I mention there is both loaner car and shuttle service?! This is very significant, especially for single car families.I am now a customer of Motor City Euro Repair (formerly Advanced Auto Sports) for life! Transparent estimates and pricing, loaner and shuttle service, Audi trained staff, clean lobby and facility, the list goes on... I cannot say enough good things about Motor City Euro Repair, Blanard himself and his team.

2022-04-15I walked in off the street and was treated like family. I was looking for a shop to perform some work on my Audis noisy suspension, and after talking with the owner and explaining my self-diagnosis (I DIY most everything), he put my car on his lift and invited me back to the shop to take a better look. He even went on a test drive with me and provided sound advice on the noise as well as general maintenance items. Blanard never asked for a dime after sharing his wealth of knowledge and time. I highly recommend this shop and would confidently trust my friends and family in their hands. A+ experience.
