We love coming here! We used every feature here and everything was clean and functioning. We will be back!!

A wonderful section of the park. Free parking at the main office building. Access to the trails is also right here.

L local authorities are doing a good job of cleaning out the local Riff Raff and trash
Nice area that I visit frequently. Usually for a nap or just to relax. Nobody bothers you either. Nice park playground for the kids too. Decent trails for hiking or mountain biking near by too.
This is a cute park. But if you have very small children watch them when they are going down the slides, its quite a drop. Maybe some more wood chips?
The picnic tables were not wet under the Pavilion and it was flooded in the grass. We watched the geese chase the ducks out of the water. They also had an area for kids to play on. Clean place.
Earth day celebration with staff from nankin mills was great!

I park here to bike ride on Hines Drive. Each Sat morning Hines Drive is closed to vehicle traffic from Ann Arbor Trail to Outer Drive, which is approximately 13 miles round trip. This is really ideal for cycling, running, walking and roller blading. The black top is fairly smooth and has a good mix of flat and hilly terrain.

Large parking area. Flush toilets. About 15 picnic tables under Shingled canopy. Ballfieid and volleyball courts and the Middle Rouge River goes around the western side of it. The Nankin Mills Museum is about 250 yards to the east.

Nice playground at nankin mills. Pavilion and little library. Bathrooms across the parking lot up the stairs. Note: you can still visit even if the road is closed (as it often is).
Decent place for fishing and bike riding. Just bring bug spray
6 of us went to Hines park today for mud day. My one daughter came in from Jackson just for mud day. Our ages range from 6 to 84. And all six of us enjoyed it immensely.
I went there to the Annual Seniors Day Event. They had all kind of people there from Health Care places like Humana, P.A.C.E., Blue Cross Blue Shield Medicare Plus Programs, Hap etc.we are marched around the tables and they gave us stuff like hand santizer,.booklets explaining their health care plans, writing pad, pencils, ink pens, calendars, key chains, chips, cookies, candy etc. They had a DeeJay playing music. They were dancing doing the hustle. They had very large Bingo games and they kept giving gift cards as prizes.the lunches were very filing. They had a lot of young servers giving out the gift cards and the young servers were bring seniors their food if they coukdnt stand in line.

Truly a wonderful gem within the urban sprawl that surrounds it. A nice get a way close to home to either just relax or excercise while taking in the natural beauty of what a park can offer.
I work midnights I get off at 3:30 in the morning I come home and I grabbed my dog and we go adventuring all through Hines Park until 7 in the morning 5 days a week on the weekends same Adventure just and daylight hours but theres nothing like being out in the middle of nature when the world is sleeping with your dog its awesome!

Excellent Pike and Bass fishing at the dam and above. Newly built bridge and trails are very accommodating and convenient.
Love this little park area for picnics. Recently they added a bike repair area with a air hose. Excited for this. We have a lot of people who bike here.
Really good bar food...Get the chicken tender meal. You wont be disappointed
Parr Park was closed due to flooding... Met up with Michigan Jeeps for our weekly cruise. Amazing peeps

Was so surprised at the highest waters Ive ever seen in the 50 years Ive lived in this area. Any other time its beautiful & fun soaking up what nature and Nankin Mills have to offer.
They were closed all 3 times that we went up there on varying days. Couldnt find any sinage about open days. Mill wasnt running. Nothing was open ☹

Where I had my baby shower in July. Very nice park in general. Family said the bathroom could be cleaner though.

Great walking paths. Wish the workout stations could get repaired. But had a great long walk and the playground is really fun.
We have a yearly picnic for Frank Cody Highschool years 1950-70 something I cant remember. Good time had by all.

You have to bang on the xylophones, trust me they are there, just keep walking around until you find them.Kudos for the musical aspect!
Nice, clean picnic pavilion with a baseball diamond. The police dont ride by every two seconds either, thats a nice change from other spots, Ive been to.
Went biking on Sat...they close Hines Park and you can burn it up on the bikes!Went into the mill and its ok for a quick visit.
Good area for community events park your cars in nankin mills parking lot and walk to this park toilets are available nearby few steps

Very clean and nice. My only grievance is all the dog poop,because none of the owners clean up.Theres a dog park right around the corner.

2021-04-28Beautiful view enjoyed my way in/out getting at the park. Family had a wonderful distraction and park was not so crawled compering to other park location we went in the same day. My kids had fun playing at this park location. Only few kids were wearing a mask.

2018-10-15Beautiful area in Hines drive, with a small pond view by right side.It would be great area to spend quality time for cycling, running, pets allowed. It is a calm and quiet environment.Free parking available

2022-04-15Every year since I was a kid we looked forward to going to Hines Park around Easter time. My daughter use to look forward to going to Hines Park around Easter time when she was a little younger. Now, my son was really looking forward to going to Hines Park today @ 11a.m. Nankin Mills at Hines Park have an easter event called A Marshmallow Drop. A helicopter comes & drops a ton of marshmallows for all the kids each age group gets to go out & grab the marshmallows. The Easter Bunny drops them from the helicopter & all the kids get @ least 1 marshmallow. They have gifts, games, prizes all kinds of stuff its very very fun this year was the most effective year as far as making sure each age group was able to go out get all the marshmallows they needed to get and scheduling the timing between the next age group to go it was perfect thank you Wayne-Westland Parks & recreational members & Nankin-Mills of course.

2022-05-09All was wondering until my dog caught a glimpse of the Canadian goose coming up behind me and he TOOK OFF CHASING IT!! Im sure it was all to protect his mama from the bigol birdy, but man I wasnt ready for that one!

2022-04-19Ive gone to other Easter egg hunts and this one by far was the best organized. Very friendly staff. I will definitely be going to more events there.
