Comment: Very bad experience with National car rental.I’m their so called “Emerald” member.I reserved a full size sedan pickup at SFO airport.When I got there, there are 3-4 mid size to compact cars specially for “Emerald” members, lol.Then I asked for full size sedan and they don’t have any. Then thought of pickup one of them and planned to return atNational Car rental 3569 First St, Livermore, CA 94551. Then reserved another car with Livermore location pickup for next day.Next day I dropped the car and asked for my next pickup on the sameDay. But they had 1-2 cars there. Then I had to cancel the reservation and asked for a ride back home. They denied that too.I called a taxi and went back home then realized I forgot a phone holder in the car.I called them immediately, and call went to the customer care and I gave the details about the missing thing.Next day I got a call from the Livermore location and said they don’t have it.I simply lost it.Forget about this location if you have any choice other than National near to you.

Comment: Really great service. We had a flat tire on our trip and they assisted in getting the tire replaced and even gave us a free day for our troubles. Very appreciative.

Comment: All of the employees seem bored. Lady at the front desk actually made me stand waiting while she finished a personal conversation with the lady at the Enterprise desk. The she sauntered over and took my information. She had her personal phone out in front of customers. The car itself was fine (a Hyundai) but the interior was stained which was kind of gross. Upon car return, more bored employees with no urgency. Would not recommend.

Comment: Had a last minute change of plans and dropped off my car here a few days early. Not only were they extreamly nice and accommodating but they also offered to give me a ride to my destination!

Comment: Not many National locations outside airports in the Bay Area, so this place is good to have around. This is a small local location, but I like National because as an executive member, I can always consider swapping an the aisle in an airport location.Lily, the agent who works here is super nice and gives you options for tons of cars. Easy process, she does paperwork fast and gets you on the road. Also, local locations have no airport tax :)Lots of people post reviews about price yadadada. If you dont have a contract with your company or organization, prices are always changing for you because sometimes they have less cars available. That means National wont always be the cheapest, etc. But when you do happen to be able to rent from National, good cars, good service, and just easy getting in and out of the lot. Also, to really get good value out of National, join their membership rewards program and use their special offers and coupons.
