Ordered here for the first time today. Customer service is great! I was going to order the sesame chicken platter, but the gentleman told me that its a better deal during the time I called to get the lunch special (Its from 11-3), so I followed his suggestion and came to pick it up. You cant tell in my picture, but you get a lot in the lunch special! I can eat a lot, and I was full. The chicken was good too, not too battered, tender and good flavor in the sesame sauce. Would definitely try again.

Great food! Glad we decided to try new China Moon again. Quite some time ago it was unimpressive, now it is very very good. We always get it to go. And it ends up being two meals. Highly recommend it

The food is yummy, service is fast and food is always nice and hot. Highly recommend. The amount is very generous for the price. The small can feed 2-3 people large is great for the whole family.

Good portions, awesome egg rolls, friendly, good food. Update 10/31/2021 - the last time I got Szechaun Chicken it was inedible. The chicken tasted like it was bad; it was cooked but tasted like it was spoiled. The sauce was like soup instead of being somewhat thick. The counterperson said they have new owners - stands to reason because something has changed. This wasnt the first bad experience of late.
Was there when they first opened years ago and the place was great. I was in town visiting family so I suggested we went here because it was so great years ago. The chicken was chewy and didnt taste like General Tsos should. The rest of my family was disappointed as well.

The food is amazing and the staff are always nice. Not being a native to the area I was so sad to give up my favorite restaurant. The food here reminds me of home and great childhood memories. The food is always fresh and the portions are always generous. I highly recommend eating here.
The food is awesome, but even though there is a web address with a copy of their menu, the menu and it’s prices are out of date. The restaurant didn’t authorize the website or the posting of its menu.Update: October 4, 2020My family and I have been sick for a few days now and cooking is too taxing for all of us. Plus, there isn’t a whole lot that sounds good or doesn’t upset our stomachs. I ordered shrimp fried rice 2 days ago, miracle of miracles, no upset stomachs to be had. Fast forward to today, none of us are feeling a whole lot better and again, no cooking in our horizon, so I call up New China Moon. At first I only ordered enough for today, but then I realized, they’re closed on Monday and if we’re still feeling yucky, we’re going to be stuck with figuring something out. I called them back and doubled my order. They were so kind and told us all to feel better soon. I opened my order up and to my delight and surprise, they were kind enough to include some of their fried sugared donuts, still warm from the fryer too. I’ve always recommended them for their food, because it’s delicious, now I can add kindness and caring to that. Thank you again Staff and Owners
Love this this Chinese restaurant wont eat anywhere else when they wear shut down do lack of getting food for their restaurants they had to close down to covid 19 and we tried other places and they just didnt have it. They just didnt have the taste very good and we wasted alot of food at other places. Put so glad they are back open know even know they have been open for awhile now but I dont usually do this so. But we Drive from Marshall just to China Moon. and its well worth it. Thank you China Moon.
Absolutely amazing. Great food, excellent service, great prices. Today, we ordered to surprise my wife ( from Indonesia). My yougest kept hollering for french fries while ordering 4 lo meins, and a sweet n sour. The owner, very nice lady, took the order down ,and threw fries in with a cute note. Just felt so sweet. I had called before we ate to say thankyou. Been going here for under a year.
I rated New China Moon 3 Years ago... However, We have been a Customer for 12 years! They are always happy. The man who mainly delivers, (although not recently of course) Is so nice! The food.. THE FOOD IS ALWAYS YUMMY!
Nice little place.Order my good old standby of Sweet and Sour chicken.They overloaded the to go container and it is pretty decent chicken.The only reason I am not giving the place 5 stars is because the chicken was luke warm by the time I got home. Possibly because the container was left open because it was too full.Its hard to choose which is better or worse. I love the fact that I got the so much, but hate the fact that it wasnt hot.Over all I believe its worth going, and I probably will have a better experience if I ever have the chance to dine in.Thank you for the food.谢谢
I literally pass 3 other restaurants in order to go to this one. I love this place. The food is always hot, done on time, and theyre SO KIND. Excellent customer service, 10/10.
I love this restaurant the food always tastes delicious hot and fresh. The staff is always friendly and after i order i dont normally wait longer than 15-20 minutes for my food. The selection of dishes is plentiful and consist of shrimp, steak, chicken, pork or vegetarian and come with your choice of white rice, fried rice or for an extra charge lo mein. And you can specify not spicy mild or very spicy. Everyone in my family can choose the dish they like. Also their lunch combination meals are definitely worth the money.
Best Chinese food in town, hands down. Its not even close. The egg rolls are unlike any other. You can eat anything here and it would be delicious. The Kung pao is killer

I was very pleased with friendly they were with me. They even shared a their story about when they started the restaurant and how business has been since then. The chef even checked in on how my meal was. Ive never had that happen before. The owners at one point explained the spice/hot level of their meals because I personally like my spicy meal on the more hot side. Which after our conversation about the difference between their spicy meals she came back to my table with a sample of one of their more spicier meals. I will definitely be coming back for more!
We moved to Emmett Charter Township from North Idaho and got in late on Sept 30 2018. We called New China Moon after 9pm and ordered the usual Chinese fare we always do. They arrived in a fare amount of time and the gentleman was very nice. The prices were less than we were used to out west and the food was better than we were used to. Very pleased! Will order from them again!
Food was great!!! Got the sesame chicken, pepper steak and sesame shrimp. Fed a family of 6 and no one had complaints! Would definitely come here again!
My dumplings were super soft and rubbery; had no flavor. Shrimp fried rice was okay, not much flavor. And they only gave me like a drip of sauce. Very disappointed that I spent $20 for a waste of food.
Ordered for pickup. Cashew chicken had a sweet sauce which it didnt before. Orange chicken had a string of plastic in it. Ordered and payed for red sauce for egg rolls but didnt get. At one time it was really good, but not tonight. May try again but it will be awhile.

Good food. Order delivered all the time and pick up. Inside is okay. Nothing fancy. Kinda plain. Needs updating. Last I saw in2020.Family owned. Been around for many years. Never had any major issues. Once our catd accidentally gog double charged. They made it right with no hassel.
I personally have always had a great experience with new china moon. Their food is amazing. Always steaming hot and taste is fresh. Love ordering the Shrimp Lo Mein with no veggies for the kids and they also love their donuts. Weve tried many Chinese restaurants but we will always stick with new china moon. I will not go here again. I just moved and wanted some Chinese food. The reviews seemed good. I have never been so sick from eating Chinese food before. The chicken teriyaki appetizers were almost charred, the orange chicken was horribly spicy and drenched in whatever syrup they use, and was almost mushy. The fried rice didnt taste right at all. I threw more than half the meal away and was sicker than a dog all night. Will not eat here again sorry.,
I was refunded promptly so thats why I have it a two star not 1 and the cashier did apologize. Oh man was the food horrible, delivery guy shorted me, and most Chinese restaurant at least has one or two things that arent good but I ordered two different platters and they were both horrible, dont get bourbon chicken, or sweet and sour chicken. Also the crab ragoon was not great. I hope they find a better recipe for their food.
This place is best known for their take out, but the dining area is spacious and clean. Compared to their competitors, their cooking has a milder almost sweeter taste (as opposed to a saltier taste). This is why I alternate between this place and Great Wall in Urbandale. One fact that I want to be known is that they will provide a Japanese style menu upon request. This does not mean that they serve Japanese food, but Chinese food that Japanese people tend to like cooked the way they like (like in Chinese restaurants in Japan). Regardless, many of the selections on this menus are superb and offer a very different variety from the normal menu. Another little gem in Battle Creek that I love. They also deliver so thats another added bonus about New China Moon.
I try to avoid leaving 1 stars, but New China Moon earned it!Ive been ordering from here for years and its not because the food is excellent, but because it is convenient with their delivery service The food at this establishment is average. The Customer service is poor and the management even worse.When my family and I eat here its usually the same meals every time. The last order we place we altered our order in just the slightest, adding on pork a stick. While dishes our meal, my wife noticed a long strand of hair. I for 1 just can not eat something thats had a strangershair in it.My wife contacted the manager at New China Moon. Once she had explained the issue, she had then asked for a refund of the item or a replacement of the item. At this point the manager in his own words called her a liar and she needed to send photo evidence. She complied with his request and sent a photo of the hair hanging from the center of the meat.After receiving the photo the manager began yelling at her claiming she has called in several times. At this point I had heard enough.I was not going to allow this stranger to yell and call my wife a liar anymore. I had taken over the conversation, I had asked him when and which meal we had ever called a complaint in on?. He was unable to comply.At this point my patients had grown tried and I told him to just refund the item and well never darken their doorstep again. After another few minutes of listening to him point fingers and expell excuses, he finally agreed and refunded the item.Im not telling anyone to avoid eating here as chinese on delivery at a decent price is convenient. Im just saying beware, this restaurant does not have the customer in mind.
Not sure if there is a change in cooks or ownership but our last meal was disappointing. Nothing had any flavor. Serving size was huge but with the flavor you didnt want to eat much. The meal from here six weeks ago was really great. We will give them one more try.
The absolute best Chinese food around! The food was so hot and fresh and the portion sizes are so huge!! Will never go anywhere else for Chinese in this area again!! I would give 10 stars if I could!!

New China Moon is tied for first for the best Chinese restaurants in town with Golden Dragon. Both have awesome tasting food and they both are super super friendly. Anyone that said they are a poor quality Restaurant are not right in the head. New China Moon is awesome!
The hairy major misunderstanding on my order when I said I wouldnt get there until 7:15 IE 30 minutes from the time I ordered they didnt start the order until 7:15

By far the BEST Chinese Restaurant in Battle Creek. My family had been going to this establishment for over 10 years and the food is always very good. Our favorites are General Tsos Chicken & Sweet n Sour Chicken. Make sure you get the Steamed Dumplings or even the crab meat rangoons. Everything is delicious.
This is my familys go to Chinese take out. Weve been customers for over a decade. The food is good and theyve always accommodated special requests for certain items whenever my sister, who has a seafood allergy, wants to try something that usually has seafood in it.
Worst attempt at Chinese food weve ever eaten. I had the sesame chicken With 99% concrete breading and 1% poor quality chicken knuckles over fried and slathered in orange goo from a jar. And raw broccoli. The wrapper on my egg roll could have been used for a steel belt tire. His meal was equally bad White rice and fortune cookies were good. Inattentive waiter that didnt want to be there either.
The food it’s 5 star but their customer service suck. One of the attendees smell strongly like cigarettes and the other extremely bad attitude. Order better by DoorDash that way you don’t deal with them.
LOVE New China Moon! Generous portions, great prices. Special orders easily accommodated. Much of their business is take out or delivery. Dont let the almost empty dining room dissuade you.

Very good service! I took my grandma who uses a walker and they saw her coming and held the door open for her to walk in. Everyone was very friendly and responsive the whole time. The food was also very good. I will definitely go there again!

Ive eaten here twice and neither time have i been impressed. the meat in the food was chewy, fatty and had bone in it even. the meals options and sides are majorly lacking when compared to other establishments. i assume go elsewhere personally. but if youre in the mood for mediocre bland take out. this might be for you.

The food was pretty good but I ordered an item that was supposed to be spicy and it didnt have a hint of spicy to it. The item was red on the menu which is supposed to mean it comes spicy. Next time I guess Ill have to tell them I want it spicy.
I love this place. I place an order once week. Their Wonton soup is my go-to comfort food. Sick? Wonton soup. Bad day, wonton soup. Oh and their steamed dumplings are addictive.

2022-06-11The food is delicious, despite being busy weve never had a botched order, highly recommend ordering over the phone and doing carry out. Its also easy to find their menu online. The combos are a GREAT deal but I love their fried rice and pork dumplings. We usually spend $60 to $80 to feed 5 adults and have leftovers for the next day. We get an absurd amount of food.The staff is diligent and the food is great. Highly recommend!

2022-05-23We are from out of town. Stopped here on spur of the moment, glad we did! Order three items, didnt wait long at all. All three items chicken on a stick, crab rangoon, and general tsos chicken was a welcome quality of chicken. Albeit the sauce was a little different than Im used to having, it wasnt spicy as I expected, it was still excellent as it was hot and a plentiful quantity.! All was hit and fresh!! WILL BE RETURNING!!!!

2022-07-28Love this place. The food is great, never had anything missing, its always come out on time or a few minutes early and theyve thrown in a little extra something here and there for me. Ive never been a frequent regular to anywhere before, but they managed to get me hooked.

2022-02-15Called my order in, given the order number 38 for my order pick up. I arrive for her to have no idea what Im talking about. After 5 minutes she said she gave my order to the wrong customer. No apology, acted like it was my fault. She repeated my order and said just a moment. 20 mins later she gives me the bag again with no apology for the wait. Get home... wrong food. Sincerely disappointed! Ive never had such horrible service at this location.

2022-03-09I didnt even get to order it was 20 minute before closing and they said it was closed, thats the 3rd time something like this has happened to me there so Im not going to be trying it anytime soon, it was my girls birthday and thats what she wanted.. I was bummed out I couldnt at least get her that!!!

2021-09-08Currently no dining in. Theyll give you a number which is then written down on a dry erase board and put in the window so you know if your food is ready when you get there. Food is better than it has been in the past. Used to be very greasy. I took a break from ordering from here for a couple of years and was pleasantly surprised that their food is pretty decent now as this is very close to my home. Not my favorite but good. If youre ordering sweet and sour anything and you like vegetables, make sure you order some they do not come with the meal unless specifically stated on the menu. Portions are reasonable.
