DO NOT MOVE TO NEWBURGH SQUARE APARTMENTS. Neighbors partying or fighting at 4 AM. Bug and rat infestation. Rude office staff. Maintenance barely gets anything done. I went 2 weeks without hot water. 13 days without heat. This place is a mess in every aspect.

So far so good. I moved in to a third floor unit on 10/1/2021, I did have some stuff that needed maintenance in the bathroom and kitchen and maintenance came. Also, Paul (from the maintenance staff) came and took care of the bathtub sink, he was professional and I am writing this review to commend him. Today, Paul also came and did a great job.

Maintenance is non-existent been 24 hours cant use the kitchen sink its stopped up and garbage disposal is not working. Call the office and they say all they can do is put in another work order. Rodeway is in horrible condition with a huge hole on the south side in the middle of Scottsdale all sewer covers are falling in. Electrical cords in the covered parking spots most are disconnected/hanging hanging trash everywhere in the parking lotNow L R Management took over. I was just told it would be 5 months for a cracked window to be replaced. SSD company.

CONS: If youre going to move here get a unit on the 3rd floor otherwise you can hear every step your upstairs neighbor makes. Also the water pressure is HORRIBLE. Also there is no Pool. Its at the top of their amenity list..but Ive been here since 2018 Pool hasnt worked once.PROS: maintenance comes pretty quickly to repair, love the paint job and new carpet in my apt. My AC works great. Love my neighbors too

Like every other comment on here the MAINTENANCE SUCKS! These are pictures of my kitchen! Ive had plumbing issues since i moved in but they seemed like they were resolved after the first work order but just a few days ago my garbage disposal was backing up/spitting up i physically went to the leasing office told them my problem the gentleman working said ill put a work oder in right now. Wake up the next day to my sink clogged and water just running out it flooded my whole kitchen floor, drawers cabinet and even went out my front door in to the hallway on to that carpet. Of course then they came right away but empty handed asking my husband and I if we had a shop vac and using our towels to soak up the water. Now in to day 3 of not being able to use my kitchen sink they replaced the garbage disposal but when i asked about replacing the counter and etc i was told they would clean it when i explained its wood and cant be cleaned they said yes it can after explaining again there is no way to clean it i asked for the owners number which supposedly no one in the office has it and was told to google it! I love my apartment but im getting really sick of the lack of maintenance! Im upholding our end of the lease but am feeling really let down by them. Hopefully Ill get some where with the main office!*UPDATE:* 6 MOTNHS LATER AND NOTHING HAS BEEN DONE! My neighbor across the hall also had a plumbing issue so bad they had to move to another unit but yet the unit is still flooding and the carpet is absolutely trashed! Only half the lights in the building work and im tired of wasting my breath asking for them to be fixed!***2 Months Later The Carpet Is Still SOAKING WET to the point it is now to my front door and will soon enter my apartment and when i went to the main office they were very rude the woman actually was arguing with me about the length of time it has been like that! It has been wet so long it stinks! Im sooooooo over this place their maintenance rude office staff and unresponsive owners oh yea i tried and called the actual owners 6 times and still havent gotten a call back! So if you love floods arguing and headaches this a great place to call home!

July 2021 the back of the building gets the worst treatment ! All 3 floors has been out of HOT water for 7 days ! The leasing office has yet to communicate or even acknowledge the issue . No call , email , or notices . Corporate isn’t answering or responding back to my emails . When I call the leasing office to speak to management regarding the issue there always in a meeting or unavailable. This matter isn’t being handle with a sense of urgency! Don’t move here !!!!

Warning, this review will be long, but I promise its worth the read. Future tenants need to be aware of the environment they are subjecting themselves to. I had the same idea as the last reviewer, that the previous reviews were just disgruntled tenants. Its true, they are disgruntled tenants, but because their landlord is a slumlord.I can’t list every issue we’ve had with the apartments because this review would be far too long. But if you should have any questions, please contact me and I would be more than willing to share my experience with the management/staff and apartments in general. Some of the more prominent issues we’ve had: our fridge did not work upon move in and took almost a week to get any sort of response. Our A/C has been out since the day we moved in (and also leaks water in between the walls), and the complex is the one who let us know about it, still not fixed (and now it’s 95 degrees outside). We live on the ground floor, our window has been broken out for going on a month now. We have a gas leak in our oven, they’ve known for about a month. The pipe under the kitchen sink busted out of the wall and flooded the kitchen, the answer when we called for help? “Fix it yourself.”The actual building flooded from the laundry room. Their fix? Pull up the carpet and place a blower under it and leave it for a week. Then, replace the carpet, but don’t fix the reason why the flood happened in the first place, so it flooded again on the new carpet. More mildew! The office will harass you as well. We have repeatedly received notices regarding a marijuana smell coming from our apartment. To the point that the police have showed up at our door more than once, and told us they did not smell any marijuana. Each time the office places a notice on our door, I call the office and gently remind them that neither my husband nor I smoke marijuana in the apartment. But, heaven forbid you call and complain about the kids that run wild in the apartment building, up and down the stairs, screaming, and bouncing basketballs down the stairs. Youll be promised a notice will go out to the building, but three weeks later the issue still hasn’t been addressed. I honestly feel that management may be targeting us, for a reason unbeknownst to me.The only way anything was addressed was when I finally sent a lengthy e-mail to Faye, the office manager, stating that I would be holding future rent in an Escrow account until the repairs were made, and also attached an insert of some of the law siting what a landlord is responsible for in Michigan. Her only response was that she had called and left messages for me. She called one time, I missed the call, but I returned her call exactly 5 minutes later but she was too busy, with a client to worry about my issues and I was told she would return my call the next day, which never happened. When Ive spoken to her on multiple occasions Ive been promised a phone call back the next day, but to no surprise, no phone call. The office has actually started not answering if I call from my own cell phone, I have to use others phones to even get them to pick up the phone. She also will lie and tell you that she spoke with your significant other, but hasn’t. She’s done this on multiple occasions to us.Just for the record, I have been more than patient and kind with Newburgh Square. I am always pleasant when dealing with the office, but when my husband works outside in 95 degree weather and comes home to an apartment without A/C, without a stove to cook dinner on, without a bedroom to sleep in as now bugs are crawling in through the window that has been broken for almost a month, mildew growing in the walls, carpet soaked with water from the broken A/C unit, you have to draw the line somewhere. We have had a horrible experience with these apartments and I HOPE you heavily consider this review when deciding whether to move in or not. Spend a little bit more and move somewhere that you’ll actually want to live at and not dread coming home to.

Garbage everywhere! Very unsanitary, rats running around. What happened? Used to be a nice place, they should be ashamed.

I came very close to signing a lease with Newburgh Square but decided not to. I was constantly given the run around as far as email and phone correspondence. After $200 deposit and a chance to see a model, which was actually pretty nice but just that apartment evidently. The buildings I personally entered were pretty run down. After a few lease signings getting rescheduled a date was finally set. They directed me to sign and pay for a $350 security bond as well as schedule utilities to be turned on. I insisted on seeing the apartment before I moved in and it was terrible. It was nothing like the model I was shown. The manager explained to me, for the first time that the model was a platinum apartment which cost more and the one they were moving me into was a silver. I rejected that apartment because of many issues that I won’t go into. The manager offered to move me into a “platinum “ apartment at a discounted rate. I was very reluctant but I was already out of $550 non-refundable. When I finally got to see the supposedly upgraded apartment it was not much better and I rejected that apartment as well via email the next day. I never got a response or follow up from anyone. For the most part the office staff made a effort to be nice but could be defensive at times.Even though I am out of $550 I still feel as though I dodge a bullet. I recommend that anyone considering moving here... DON’T! But, if you do insist on seeing the actual apartment they choose for you before giving them a deposit or pay the security bond.

Chose another housing complex!...we are on day 12 of no hot water. No return call on maintenance request...I have called the office, off hours maintenance, texted the complex manager and called corporate. No returned call.On the 8th day a note was placed on my door they said they knew about the issue & were working on it. Still no idea as to what is happening or when a resolution is expected. On the 11th day, without notice, a little after noon, they shut off all the water off to building, until further notice, without any instructions on where to go to the bathroom. It seems we were about 5 hrs without any water - I found out the water was back on by checking the tap!About 9ish pm, on the 11th day they sent us an email that outlined the problem .confirming that there is no actual timeline for resolution but failed to share a place for us to shower or use the toilet while the water is off.Their lack of communication and compassion for their residents is appalling!
