Came here approximately 1 year later and ordered the minestrone soup and chicken parmigiana. The soup was flavorful.Chicken parmigiana was well-seasoned, pan seared with good coloration, and cooked through.Wait staff was attentive and professional.Overall, the look and feel of the restaurant appears to have undergone a huge transformation from my last visit. Definitely a pleasant surprise.
Food was tasty but it took 40 minutes to reach our table after ordering. Waitress was nice and apologetic and we got a 15% off discount for the wait without us complaining. Once we got our food it was good, both of us got flatbread. Do take note that only dinner is available for weekends, lunch is not served (paninis etc). Very slow for a Sunday afternoon. We saw a total of 5 tables seated along with us.
Service was slow! Food was very salty! Nice size portions thro. I ordered Chicken Florentine and ate half because it was to salty. My step daughter order Chicken alfredo they only gave her three very small chunks of chicken in her alfredo and she said it was a little salty. Overall the visit was fairly okay. I probably wont visit again.
We ordered chicken Marsala..broccoli..and pasta..coffee.I expected fresh mushrooms instead of canned, and possibly a whole chicken breast also...neither was on the dish. Lacked the flavour one would expect with Marsala wine and butter. It had a pasty flavor. We were not expressed at all. The food was luke warm and the pasta looked like it had been sitting awhile. On the upside the waiter was nice, slow getting coffee out but I can attribute that to lack of help.
Starting with the positive: service was perfectly fine. But the plates were filthy, pasta was raw, dessert was mediocre, and management seems to have their back turned. I wonder about the state of their kitchen, given their apparent standards.Bottom line, go to Olive Garden.
GARBAGE!!!! The worst Italian restaurant I have ever ate from. I ordered chicken marsala and the sauce was clear and didnt even taste like anything but oil. Would you believe they used canned mushrooms???? I basically paid $20 to go pick up some food take it home and throw it away
The food is inexpensive, the portions are sizeable, the owners are first-generation Italian and handmake all of the food, and the taste is delicious. The minestrone soup is simply the best Ive ever had. The chicken cremosi was tender, very flavorful, and had a light flour breading which kept the moisture in the chicken breasts. The cannoli and tiramisu are also handmade, and the proof is in the taste.Olive Garden prices with vastly superior food made by authentic Italians. Theres your tagline.
Alfredo sauce tasted like milk and butter, was very runny. Lasagna tasted frozen, not sure which ingredients came from the freezer but it definitely had that taste. Food was about 15 minutes later than expected which is why I gave an extra star, not the longest wait I have had at other places, but the flavor and quality of the food was well below the price we paid.
Do yourself a favor, dont eat here. Ordered a flat bread. The waiter comes out with a pizza and says the cook messed up your order and made you a pizza why would you knowingly bring me something I didnt order? The pizza was soggy and gross. My wife got the pasta, it was some microwave quality food. Worst $100 I ever spent. I do not recommend this place.
BEWARE: Everything about our experience here yesterday was awful. First, waited 10 minutes for our drink order. The waitress simply couldnt be bothered with us, and that was a common theme of our more than 2 hours in this place. We had fried calamari as a starter. It was unfinished and rubbery. My son ordered Lasagna that was 1l layers of noodles. My daughter in laws meatballs were grey and smelled like catfood. My dish was paper thin over cooked chicken with a disgusting cream sauce that had more oil than a 69 Chevy. None of us ate and that was after more than an hour of patiently waiting. When we complained to the waitress she was shocked and actually argued with us. Nothing was comped and we paid an 80 dollar bill and ate elsewhere. Needless to say this server received no tip which is something I have NEVER done before. We are all sick today from the tiny bit we did consume. I strongly suggest eating literally anywhere else.
If I could rate this 6 stars I would! Me and my family had traveled up to the outlet mall in Auburn Hills, after looking at multiple different chain restaurants for an early dinner (3:30 in the afternoon), all stating an over 1 hour wait due to covid and short staff🙄 We came across Ninos. No wait, absolutely incredible wait staff, atmosphere was fantastic. And then the food came out and I tell you what I could write a whole other review just on the food. Hands down the BEST most AUTHENTIC Italian food I have ever had in the 27 years I have been on this planet. I told the wait staff I had no idea why they werent slammed with people all the time with how fantastic their food is. We traveled over and hour and a half to Auburn Hills for the mall and I will travel it again just to have dinner at Ninos! Absolutely fantastic keep up the great work Ninos!
We went to Ninos for the first time tonight after Olive Garden told us they had an hour and a half wait, and I am SO glad we did! We were seated almost immediately upon arrival and were greeted at our table by our amazing waitress, Amaya. Im pretty sure Amaya was the only waitress working tonight and she did an exceptional job! Our dinner was 1000 times better than Olive Garden! We have a new favorite restaurant! The portions were huge (I definitely have enough leftover for lunch for tomorrow and maybe dinner too!) And I thought the prices were incredibly reasonable. We will definitely be coming back here! Thank you, Ninos!!!
Service was friendly, where we sat was not very clean or organized, cluttered. It was pretty cold in the place also. Pizza was decent, but a little too under done for my taste. Not many people there when we went because it was between lunch and dinner, but it still took longer than normal to get our food.
It was so delicious our waitress had an Italian accent I loved it! She was super sweetI like how they only play Italian music to and it seems like a very clean restaurant. It was my fiancé and I first anniversary and the steak house we wanted to go to had a few hours of a wait and I’m glad we came here!
Honestly was hoping for so much more. The place was absolutely dead and the waitress still took a long time to take our order. She seemed extremely rushed for someone who only had two tables. She clearly didn’t want to be at work and it showed. Ordered the tomato bruschetta and there was more onions than tomato. She didn’t seem to care. The vegetables used are cooked from frozen. I only ate the shrimp off of my plate so I can only pray that I don’t get food poisoning. The food was bad, but the service was worse. 10 out of 10 would not recommend.
My daughter and I happened upon this VERY Italian restaurant tonight. We ordered Calamari, Tomato Bruschetta for appetizers...they were both AMAZING!! I ordered the Shrimp Scampi and it was the perfect blend of flavors... My daughter ordered the Margarita pizza, it was huge, it was yummy in her tummy! When you get here, ask for Amaya... She is one of the best waitresses we have had in a long time 🤗
After having moved to the area just over a year ago and saying many times that we should give this restaurant a try we finally went in for a dinner this evening. SO happy we did! Food was amazing in a relaxed atmosphere where food is brought to the table in a relaxed & pleasant manner. The tirimisu is some of the best Ive had! We WILL be back for a nice family meal like we had this evening. So refreshing to be warmly welcomed and treated like your patronage is appreciated. Our waitress was incredibly attentive to our needs & made sure to check in with us often enough to be helpful and to make sure we were happy throughout our meal. A gem! Again, we WILL return!
Was there for a wedding shower today. The restaurant itself is just beautiful. You can really tell some craftsmanship went into it. I really enjoyed the fireplace and all the beautiful natural light. We had several pizzas, salad, and pasta to eat. The pizza is delightful thin crust, light on toppings, but so tasty it doesnt need much. The pasta sauce tasted like grandma stood at the stove for hours. The service was spot on. One person was able to handle 32 of us. She was downright friendly and a credit to the establishment. If you havent been here, give it a try next time you are out around Great Lakes Crossing.
I have a few Italian places I like in the area, but what makes this place my favorite is the pasta. Its always the perfect thickness and cooked perfectly al dented. One of mangers still uses her Grandmas receipes. It is clean, the service very friendly, and I think the best actual pasta in town. The Teramiso is also very yummy. Check it out if you are in the mood for good pasta.
Enjoyed a night out we had appetizers of mozzarella wedges and calamari. The dipping sauce for both was a creamy tomato base. Rigatoni Alla Vodka and Fettuccine Alfredo were great. From the moment we walked in we were greeted with smiles and immediately seated. Our server Amber was great and the staff was all friendly. Food was great!
Service was friendly, seemed fast on this day. Ordered kitchen sink. It was a nice orzo dish. Portions are large. We had a appetizer of the grilled calamari. I suggest a butter dip sauce. It lacks some flavor. Kid liked the spaghetti! Wife had spaghetti with rocks. Also very good. We really liked the pastas.Still has the same feel as the Max and Ermas that it recently replaced. The menus dont showcase any top dishes with pictures. Description of the dishes on the menu would be nice.So far we liked it. We will be back.
Ninos is the best restaurant ever!! Our server Annavita was very kind, respectful, and friendly. The appetizers were soo good. I really recommend the mozzarella wedges and the calamari.🤤🤤 Our main dish was also so good. All the food came perfectly on time. Overall the staff was so kind and the food was amazing. I will definitely be there again soon!!
I was pretty disapointed to be honest. My expectations were high given the atmosphere and the menu choices. First thing that threw me was they served cold bread. Then the bruschetta was the same bread with cold tomatoes onion and balsamic. Not like any Ive ever tried before. I ordered a chicken ceasar salad. I eat a lot of ceasar salads and usually italian restaurants are the best. Well, the lettuce pieces were huge, so hard to eat I had to cut it all up more. Also, no parmesan cheese, on a ceasar at an italian restaurant. I was just bummed out more than anything. My friend got fettuccine alfredo with chicken broccolli and shrimp, all with an up charge, tiny pieces of chicken, itty bitty shrimp and not very many. I had to ask him if the chicken and shrimp were in it when they brought it out. Again expectations vs reality were very different. Just disappointing all the way around. We left saying we should have went to olive garden. The iced tea was good and our waitress was great though and I see alot of good reviews, I just did not have the same experience.
I understand they only recently opened and are still learning but as customers are paying good money for a meal, at least they should make it look like they are trying. There were only 3 other tables and lots of staff but no one was getting their food or drinks. Everyone on staff was either rude and didnt care or inexperienced. We could all hear the kitchen staff having a good time back there. We didnt get our drinks until we reminded our server and never got our appetizer. The food was all heated from frozen and my pasta dish was pretty much just penne with a few pieces of chicken and veggies. Very over priced for what they serve. The worst part was when another couple got up to leave because their food never came and every time they questioned if it was coming they were told the kitchen had run out of that and to order something else, a manager came to handle the situation. She was rude to these people and really didnt care. After the couple left the manager and a waitress were laughing about it and talking about them. They really need to restaff this place and start over.
This place is a hidden gem! We first took our kids here and loved it and have returned several times since! All the food is fantastic and not over priced. The staff is so accommodating & friendly. It’s a great family friendly atmosphere. Definitely worth a visit if you’re looking for your new favorite place!
Was there a week ago with family. The chicken parmasan was amazing. Their pasta is delicious. I ordered the ribeye, which I didnt care for. I dont blame them though. They are an Italian eatery. All of their Italian food was amazing. Shrimp Alfredo, chicken parmasan, and chicken marsala. We will definitely be back. Extremely impressed!!
Went there with sister and mom not too long after this place opened. Service was nice but the food wasn’t so good. I had chicken Alfredo and the chicken was undercooked and the pasta was cold, the soup my mom got tasted straight from a Can, and the pasta my sister got looked like throw up and just tasted gross. The calamari I ordered made me sick the next day. I’m sure it’s not probably always like this, maybe cause this place was new at the time, but my family and I are not coming back.
People who already reviewed this restaurant are to harsh. Most of the reviews came when the restaurant first opened which of course their going to have issues...they just opened. I would say this is a family restaurant that has the classic American Italian dishes. The food didnt blow me away but it still had good flavor that I would definitely come back and try more items. The environment has the feel of a chain restaurant but still comfortable enough to take my family on a Tuesday night. Would try again and think the people that already put horrible comments should give it a second try.
You have got to give it to the Italians - they know how to treat you like family!Walked in and was greeted by an enthusiastic team. Immediately got me sat and waited on!I had the bruschetta, antipasto salad, and the Ninos Trio! Although I wasn’t a huge fan of the Alfredo (to each their own). The Chicken Parm was tasty! For the price you can’t beat this locally owned slice of Italiano Heaven!Their great deal on Pizza and Beer caught my eye but it’s the staff that truly made this place great! In the post Covid life - Support Local! Be patient & courteous to your wait staff!
I usually go here every other week and sometimes more often than that. The staff is warm and welcoming, the food is great, the drinks are one of a kind, and the service is great. My favorites, if I had to choose are few, are the Shrimp Scampi, Build Your Own Pizza, and Italian Iced Tea. I highly recommend this restaurant. I plan to go after work actually!
Hostess ended up being our waitress. Felt sorry for her. The food was not good at all. At first site the kids pizza looked awesome until you ate it. Drywall with cheese comes to mind. The chicken parm tasted like a Swansons TV dinner that was microwaved 5 minutes too long per my husband. Believe the reviews. The restaurant only had a few customers in it and the wait and the food took awhile to get to us. I would recommend another place to eat, seriously.
Went here on opening day, and obviously on the first day it would be a bit slow service wise. However, the waitresses and waiters were very friendly (especially Scott!) The food was good, ordered calamari as an appetizer and had pepperoni pizza, both tasted great. Good wine as well. Had to take off one star because the non-descriptive menu and the fact there was no music playing. Would come again.
I just want to take the time to say I feel bad for having to write a poor review, but if you have not tried this restaurant I recommend you do not! I am not entirely sure if the owner really knows how poor The quality of food is, but honestly its like its only slapted together to hit the plate and thats all. My husband ordered the fettuccine Alfredo and it was like soup, the noodles were swimming in Whitewater. Also, unfortunately what I had was so acidic it gave me a stomachache. Unfortunately, that location had a lot of potential and it definitely was not worth the wait Of opening. I am very sorry to say that I will never be returning to that restaurant again, I dont go to Olive Garden because I feel like they could put more effort into their food, but I would definitely pick all of garden over this place. My main wait staff was very nice, the individual she had training with her did not have a good quality of customer service either.
The pasta was orange and creamy. They said it was that color because they processed the tomatoes in a blender. I think they added some milk to the sauce. It really had a strange taste. Should go back to the drawing board and perfect a really good tomato sauce with no added creaminess. No milk should be added to a basic tomato sauce. You are an Italian restaurant for goodness sakes.
Husband and I wanted to try someplace new, and this place sounded good. The food was amazing. I got the tortolini primavera and it was the best Ive had in years. The staff were great too. Jamie was our server and she was very sweet. Will definitely go back. Highly recommend for real, authentic, tasty Italian food.
The restaurant is definitely one of the best Italian restaurants around especially for the price. This is the best value restaurant I have been to and every meal whether it be an appetizer, main dish or dessert has succeeded my expectations. The wait staff is phenomenal and the owner brings her authentic Italian family recipes to light here in Auburn Hills. I highly recommend. You will not be disappointed.
Ordered Calamari, it was cooked perfectly. I thought once it got cold that it would be tough but it was still tender. My friend had Mozzarella sticks, they were just right and the sauce was also good. It tastes like cheese was in it. He had the Fish and chips. It looked and taste great. Even the salads and bread were good. I had Penne Chicken. It was alright but it could use more seasoning. The service was the best I had in awhile. I definitely recommend this place.
We eat out a lot and love to try new restaurants. My recommendation... run as far and as fast as you can to a different restaurant. The chicken was downright nasty. It was like they went to Costco and bought a bag of frozen chicken that had been in the back of the freezer for 6 months. It was undercooked, and the parts that were cooked tasted and felt like rubber. We had to send one of our parties plates back because the chicken was almost raw. They never offered any compensation for the experience. The staff didnt seem too concerned about how bad things were, either. There was no manager to talk to, so we couldnt give them feedback at the time of the visit. We did stand outside and told a few customers not to eat there, which they didnt. If I could give a negative 5 stars, I would.
Went here a few months ago after leaving the Renaissance Festival. The place was pretty empty so we were able to be seated right away even though we were a party of 10.It was a Sunday so nothing on there lunch menu was available. The variety on the menu was a bit limited. A lot of the dishes appeared to have the same ingredients. The staff was quick to bring us out bread which the kids promptly devoured as they were starving. I remember that we got pizza, a few orders of Fettuccine Alfredo with Chicken, spaghetti with sauce and spaghetti with butter. We started off with salads which were pretry good. Our foof didnt take long to get to us either but as I said the place wasnt very busy. The taste of the food was okay but not spectacular. Though no one complained as we were all very hungry. The thing that made the meal was that the portions were above average and the price was decent. We took home a lot of food.Since then I have been by a few times but have not been in for lunch. It doesnt ever look very busy but I an on trying it again.
Went during week 2 of their opening ... service was SLOW! My chicken dish came out wrong and additionally seemed microwaved when redone and was just oddly prepared, the bread was as if it was yesterdays and very sparse with 4 small pieces for 2 of us, kids pasta was tasty, minestrone soup had a clear chicken like broth and salad bar veggies as if it was the weeks special reused for the soup (far from Italian) ... Had to ask about our food with the wait and it wasnt much for 2 people; one adult and one child, water girl walked right past my empty glass ...Others pizza and lasagna looked good, Hope their future gets better. New management and new chef may be a good start, sorry but being honest and any 5 star reviews either do no get out often or just arent used to decent food .. there is NO way so many of us have the same issue and a few dont ... and its not a chain its a families dream restaurant from what I came across on social media
We have been here several times since they opened. When our kids recently visited from Boston we took them here. This time we had the pizza which was very good. We were seated promptly and our food came out timely. Courtney was personable and friendly ...my only suggestion is for the staff to clear as they go. We will be back.
We love hanging out. Yesterday we found this excellent restaurant which friends told us about. We had a lovely time there with fine food and an efficient crew and a professional cuisine. We put this venue in our phone list and we will no doubt visit again soon. We highly recommend.
Horrible. Stay away. Slow service; the food is awful. I ordered an appetizer which ended up being served to another table. The shrimp scampi had no flavor and a rubbery texture. The pasta sauce tastes like it came from a can. Meatballs were obviously frozen. Just a horrible dining experience all around.
My fiancé grew up eating Italian food his grandmother made when she came over from Italy. He said his spaghetti and meatballs tasted just as good. Super friendly staff and if you come in more than once they will remember your name. Such a refreshing place. Also they have gluten free food which doesn’t suck ask I’m also pretty happy!
My husband and I went there for dinner tonight. Service was extremely slow and it was not very busy at all. My husband ordered the kitchen sink and I the chicken cremi. Mine was decent. However my husbands was far from what he ordered. There was no chicken or sausage in the dish however it had added potatoes and mushrooms. Waitress took it back and said she would be right out with a new one. I finished my entire meal prior to his arriving back. Still no sausage and very little chicken. Spoke to a manager that was completely indifferent about the whole situation. She took his meal on and discounted my meal. Didnt have the decency to come talk to us about what she did and sent a brand new waiter over to give us the bill. Extremely disappointed. Will never go back.
The place was almost empty on a Sunday evening. Service was friendly, but thats where the good ended. Ordered the aloha pizza. The dough was undercooked, and toppings were just so so with very little flavor. We also split an antipasto salad, and the lettuce was limp and browning in spots, and cheeses seemed to be shredded out of a bag. Overall the food was subpar. Wouldnt reccomed or return because there are by far better Italian spots in the area with really good food.
Well, was dissatisfied with the food. The lasagna tasted dry, tons of sheets of dry cold pasta with sauce that tasted stale and cold. Minestrone soup was ok, had a chicken colored broth, it was more like vegetable soup. The pizza was actually good but I want good pasta too. The place was dead by the way. The server was very sweet, its to bad the lasagna was bad. Olive garden is better unfortunately.
This place has great Italian food! Portions are large and prices are very reasonable. I ordered the Spaghetti with Rocks, its pasta with clams, mussels and shrimp in a tomato sauce. I will definitely be back for more! My spouse ordered Chicken Parmigiano. It was huge and excellent. We both had dessert, I had the Brownie Tower and she had the made in house cannoli both were great. This is not a fast food chain, every entree is cooked to order, so you can get it exactly the way you want it. You need to allow a few extra minutes for this. In my opinion, the food ranks right up there with the finest Italian restaurant around, but the prices are lower than chain restaurants like Olive Garden. Go there, you wont be sorry!
Went on a sunday evening, appetizer and two of the main dishes were ok, one tasted like it was a lasagna that was in a freezer for a tad bit to long, and the last dish we had in the group had semi-warm but mostly cold chicken. server was nice. Not worth the price, and do not plan on returning.
Very disappointing meal. Service was friendly but slow. I ordered chicken parmesan which came with a side of pasta. The meat sauce on the pasta wasnt very good. I asked for spaghetti and was told that was chefs choice. I asked for extra cheese and it was still really skimpy. My husband ordered a dish called kitchen sink with chicken and sausage. Could barely find traces of either meat. Will not be returning.
We went to this restaurant tonight for dinner. There was a couple in there that had finished eating and were paying. We ordered appetizers. They came out and they were okay. We ordered dinner. Our dinner comes out for me and my husband but not for our 6 yr old. I asked the waitress where her food was. She said she would be right back after looking at what she wrote down. I heard the waitress talking in the kitchen. I told my husband she never even put in her order. A few minutes later the waitress comes up behind us from another booth and sets her alfredo down. I immediately said dont eat that. It was so extremely hot. The waitress says sorry they ran out of noodles. My husband asked for the manager. The manager comes out and says that she forgot to put the order in but there is nothing he can do because it is kids eat free. I gave my daughter my dinner to eat as her meal was still unbelievably hot. My husband and manager spoke for a bit. Manager doing nothing but handing out excuses. We asked for our bill. My husband paid a $45.53 bill with $100. We waited for awhile as the manager went into a couple different doors. My husband asks when are we going to get our change? The manger says your waitress will bring it. We continued to wait. Nothing. Finally we got up and went up front. My daughter and I went to the car. A few minutes later my husband comes out and says the manager sent the waitress to the gas station to get our change. Finally my husband comes to the car and says call the police they are not giving us our change. I call Auburn Hills police department. The manager decided he will get the money out of the register and give us our change. This place was a complete nightmare!
Now I never ever do thESE reviews but this was horrible. My hubbys food was ok, the salmon was ok . But OMGG, my chicken tastes like old tires rubbery as a undone octopus, the cream sauce was good. Soup was good. Margarita was half frozen not like I ordered not finished, the bread that automatically comes to the table was HARD. I cook too gave them the benefit of the doubt but the restaurant wasnt even busy.they were nice so me and hubby ordered desert............😑😑😑😑😑we get home, HUBBY said his cheese cake tasted old and sour and my cannoli wasnt great ..it tastes like an old DRY egg roll. It supposed to taste like a funnel cake.Only reason I gave them a 2star because of the nice waitress...we gave her a generous tip ok. I MIGHT come back cause people say the salmon dishes and shrimp dishes are good. 🤔🤔🤔 Maybe
Only getting the one star because the whole situation made me laugh. My husband and I thought we were on Candid Camera. HORRIBLE HORRIBLE food. Literally NO ONE in the place yet it took forever to get served. Once we were served, we wished we werent. I dont even know where to begin.... Pasta was so over cooked, sauce was as thick as molasses and the bread slices could have been used as a weapon it was so hard. Steer clear of this place. I wouldnt feed their food too my dog
One would think that a Ceasar salad boasting the name of the joint and a house made dressing would be great. Not so much. Tasted like washed lettuce and watery dressing. 2 croutons. Barely any cheese. Then there was the California Salad. Grilled chicken, avacado, red onion...etc...NOTHING about bacon. Im on a low sodium diet...a cannot even smell bacon. They fixed it and didnt charge me for it but it was mediocre.
First time being here. We had a large family party too. Awesome service and the food was excellent. I got to talk with the waitress who is also part of the family who are owners. It is all made from scratch and even the desserts. You can tell authentic and their own recipes. No pre-made food here like that wannabe restaurant chain like Olive Garden. We will be back for sure! We found a new authentic place to add to the list of restaurants of favs!
Waited for over an hour for our food before we gave up and left. One table left before us as they hadnt received their food either. Another had gotten up to leave as no one had came to even get their drink order. Multiple tables had to be apologized to for not receiving their food. The restaurant definitely has to work out kinks. We did have some food. We had calamari and Mozzarella wedges. Calamari was chewy and mediocre. Wedges were decent and sauce it was served with was ok.
This was literally the worst restaurant meal I’ve ever had. We just got door dash, and I can’t even believe this is a restaurant. We would have been better off eating at an Italian place in a mall cafeteria - or even just a can of spaghettios...Lacking all flavor. Almost no meat. Sauce wasn’t even mixed. I had to add from a jar of sauce in my pantry just to make it edible. Portobellos with crab smelled like.. I won’t even say so that we don’t all lose our cookies. Crossing my fingers that I don’t lose mine later. Absolutely pitiful. Gross!
Nice people. Waitress was very sweet and attentive. Mir, the cook was friendly and warm, and resolved a payment problem. I ordered the chicken pesto panini. The sandwich had nice, tasty bread but was not grilled.....so not a true panini. There was a butterflied chicken breast of good size. The chicken was tough....rubbery....but cooked good. The menu indicated pesto. I didnt see any pesto. There was a little cup of mayonnaise that had an ever-so-slight tint of green with a mayonnaise taste. Maybe there was a dab of pesto in it. The tomatoes on the sandwich were pink. On the side, was a very large portion of fries. They tasted good. I would much rather have had half the fries, actual pesto, and higher quality chicken.
Caution to all!!! Only come here if you hate your life and hate money even more! Came here on Aug 4th... waited 2 hours for food! Saw 6 tables get up and leave because of the terrible service. The servers were not the best to be honest, but the kitchens output was horrendous! This chain should be ashamed of themselves, I know its a new location, but they needed to get this place ready before opening. The overall experience was almost laughable, but the worst part is we had a FULL CHARGE for the meal, no discount or apology from the manager, nothing... Ill never visit this place again, nor would I recommend the restaurant to others. In fact the food was almost as bad as the service.
My husband and i had dinner at this restaurant today, and we regret it. The place looks nice, and the hostess/waitress was very nice. But unfortunately their food was not good at all, no italian food should taste like that. We ordered the calamari as an apetizer, and it was imitation fried flavorless calamary. I ordered the chicken parmesan that comes with pasta, but it was cold, and was not good at all. My husband ordered the pork chops, and it was also cold, and flavorless. The side pasta that came with both dishes were the same cold pasta with meat sauce. Not good at all. Its ashame cause is a good location, and a nice looking place.
If I could give this restraunt 100 stars I would in a heartbeat! My fiance and I came here for dinner and we are overly satisfied. First things first our waitress Rose was the best waitress I have ever had in my life (not just saying that) she made us feel at home and was very knowledgeable and helpful with the menu. She was checking on us and always made sure we were happy. I would come back to this restraunt just to see her again! The food was delicious we started with the stuffed portobellos ... Omg they were delicious, so full of flavor and cooked perfectly. My fiance also got the ministroni soup and he enjoyed it ! Then came the main course , I got the chefs pasta (I would recommend this to anyone) it was delicious and they cooked the veggies and noodles to perfection. My fiance got the chicken cremosi, he got big pieces of chicken and plenty of pasta with it. The flavor of everything was spot on and I will be getting that dish next time! The best part was the bill at the end, I couldnt believe how affordable our delicious meal was. We will definitely be making this our new spot for date night ! Thank you !
This is a great story of redemption from the first visit. Roughly around a year ago, we decided to try Ninos since it was close to home and had just opened up. Needless to say, the cold food, the hour wait and the lack of decent service made this place a hard pass for any future visits.TLDR: There have been a TON of changes since the last time we were here, while the decor hasnt changed, everything else has for the better. If you were disappointed before - give them a second shot, they seem to be on the right path of improving things tremendously.Fast forward to March 20, 2019 - we were having a family celebration and decided to give this place a try again. We had a large party of 18 with quite varying tastes and preferences, from 9 to 82 years old - and a ton in between. Our server, Rose, greeted us warmly and was quick to respond to any of our questions. To be honest, she really had her hands full with our party and she kept up beautifully. Drinks were regularly refilled and treated us like loved family members of her own. Amber was assisting her and was keeping up with the demand quite well.We ranged quite the selection from their menu (by the way, added a lot more since the last time we were there) - to start the review, the Appetizers, wow - what a change. The Bruschetta was perfect, good vinaigrette, healthy portion size and fresh. The Full Boats is actually Potato Skins with bacon (and lots of it) and cheese were cooked perfectly, served with a side of sour cream. For the entrees, my wife ordered the Kitchen Sink, I had the Fettuccine Alfredo with chicken, and other members of the party ordered a Pepperoni Pizza, several Lasagnas, Chicken Parmigiana, a plate of Ribs, and some custom pasta orders. Needless to say, our raucous party almost instantly went silent as the food was served and stayed relatively quiet most of the time.If you are still reading this from here... I am happy to report that Ninos has turned the corner for my family and I. We will start going here again regularly as this change is welcome and their past reputation is hardly deserved considering the food, portions, servers and quality of the food is a considerable step up in the right direction.Im even looking forward to making Friday nights, pizza night again, and I know who to go to for this now. The crust, sauce and cheese portions were dead on for my East Coast pizza preference, and Im looking forward to this Friday night.
Great service... People were so nice and the food was hot and fresh. If youre looking for a good pasta get the gnocchi michelangelo or/and lobster ravioli, they were amazing and came out fast! My wife and I usually go eat out every weekend and the atmosphere in this place was a pleasant surprise. Totally recommend! Good job Nino!
Hearty authentic Minestra soup and bolognese sauce, both delicious. So full missed out on some amazing looking desserts. They have spulmoni too!Service is outstanding and personable. Enjoyed chatting with one of the owners. Yes! They are Italian and speak Italian too!
Staff was very friendly and attentive. I was told by an outside source that the thin crust pizza was like NY style, and being from NY, my expectations going in were a little high. It was not NY style pizza. However, I will say that the pizza wasnt bad for what it is.Their cannolis, though! These were the best cannolis Ive had in a long time! Their prices were reasonable, and they offer more than just pizza. I would say that Ninos is worth a try, if not just for some cannolis.
I worked their and had a horrible experience working bad servive from kitchen horrible tips and didnt get me my full check. They dont give check stubs but give cash. The food in the back isnt dated and its nothing special. Bad business I wouldnt eat there. They prepare it fresh but who knows how long they had it prepped. We are contacting the wage department because I guess others have been screwed. This guy is a con artist. I worked 30 hours and got 56 bucks. Thanks Crystal
The service is so awful at this establishment that I am going out of my way to review them while sitting at the table. Upon walking in, no hostess was there to greet us and after about 5 minutes someone sat us and promised us a server and cutlery. Fast forward to twenty minutes later and we still had no drinks or cutlery. When finally asked if we wanted drinks we ordered them and waited five minutes for them. We have not received our soups or bread which is supposed to be a starter. We have spoken to a server one time in our now half hour we have spent here. I am only leaving one star because I cant leave zero. I have yet to even consume any food and Im submitting my review because my experience has already been so awful. I will not be returning. Also, to add...we came in around 4:30 pm on a Sunday and we only have two people in our party. There seems to be many servers but only a few customers. Awful. Do not come here.
Good menu and execellent food, great staff and clean dining area. Resturant can be easily missed due to being set back so far from road but that really isnt their fault (second owners). One star off for what seems like a slightly over priced menu. However, the food was excellent and your opinion on pricing may differ. My family didnt leave dissapointed and will likely return for another dinner in the future!
Wait staff was good. Chicken parm was the worst Ive ever had was like eating rubber. Seems like all food came from the microwave. Only thing good was the salad that came with the meal.sent it back and got chicken alfredo and that was ok at best. Now Im sitting here doing a review with a upset stomach. I will never be back. Also sounds like a party going on in the kitchen. Also food has no flavor very bland. This place wont be open much longer. Should of known when we pulled in the parking lot on a Sunday and the lot was empty. Horrible food
Had the Alfredo angel hair pasta, added mushroom, peas, broccoli, and chicken! Huge size took half home~ my mother had a pizza (thin crust) each topping after 3 is only .50 cebts. Pizza is 8slices good size took 4slices home~ My father got spaghetti and meatballs, he also took half of it home.We shared a brownie tower good size for 3 people!
Not great, not even so so, just plain disappointing. Food was not good and seemed like they plated whatever they had left to make a half meal to serve. Staff seemed confused by simple requests, like asking for another drink. Overall they seem understaffed and it was a poor experience. Too many other options right by there to try this place again.
Not great. two out of the four meals were good, chicken parm and chicken alfredo were good eggplant parm with so-so. chicken marsala not real tasty, chicken need to be flattened not chunks. Customers should have been seated a little closer together so the servers could be more atentative.
Almost walked out. Had waited 20 minutes and no one had been to our table yet to even offer drinks. My husband and I got up to leave and manager intercepted apologizing and did bring us water and our drink order. Hindsight we should have left but decided to sit back down. Big mistake. One hour later and still no food. We could hear customers all around us complaining and numerous walking out. I had ordered a rigatoni dish and my husband fettuccine alfredo. One and a half hours later the food finally came. Manager brought it apologizing once again saying there was a problem with the order printer so the kitchen was screwed up. She did comp our meal. My rigatoni dish was very good but my husband thought the fettuccine was greasy. We will never go back. What a shame.
The foods sub par. I dont know if it was because it was the holiday but I had eggplant it was burnt and the pasta was cold and it tasted like it was straight out the can. I may try it again on a busy day. But I would not recommend this place if your looking for good food. Decent prices.
My husband and I recently moved to the area and have been grabbing pizzas from here!! Therere actually great and for an awesome price!!! Beats Costco, passport pizza ect!!! Service is wonderful, totally worth going for a nice dinner. Glad to give my business to the company.
Excellent service from our lovely Italian server, Annavita. She made us feel very welcome and patiently helped us explore the menu. Shrimp appetizer was delish and our mains seafood pasta and lobster ravioli were great, too. The portions were very generous - needed take home containers. We were too full for dessert, but will return to try the Tiramisu, made by Annavita, herself. Highly recommend this nice Italian spot.
I am Italian and love Italian Food. When Ninos opened up on Baldwin, I was excited to give it a try.The waitress was pleasant and the service was reasonable. The ambience was weak and seemed more like a Big Boy or something like that. The food was the weakest segment of the visit. It was inexpensive cuts and the bread basket was stale.Unfortunately, unless they make some changes and get a new chef and grocery list, I will not be returning.
Probably the worst restaurant experience of my entire life. Ordered lasagna and shrimp scampi. Got both after a long delay. The lasagna would have had a hard time comparing to a can of ravioli. The sauce was atrocious. Basically inedible. For shrimp scampi, the shrimp was coconut battered pieces of mush. The noodles used were unlike any Ive ever seen in this dish. Also used marinara sauce, which had the same flavor as the sauce on the lasagna. Disgusting. Also never even got served the bread sticks. This bad experience goes on and on, but Im sure you have the idea by now.
Great Pizza! Best Prices Around!!Finally a reasonably priced restaurant amongst an over priced dining area (hotels, theatre and mall driving up prices)Really affordable place for mall-goers to take their families out to eat--They made our experience quite pleasant! Also an inexpensive local gem for those traveling to the area business who prefer to ditch the chain restaurants for some indigenous eats!
We had the spaghetti with rocks and Pollo Romano. Both were delicious and cooked to perfection . Our server Anavita, was helpful and offered some great suggestions from the menu. Prices were very reasonable and there was enough food to take some home. We dont usually order dessert but decided to try the cannoli and tiramisu. We will definitely return. This place is a must to visit!!
Wonderful!! Quiet, no music/TVs blaring at you. Calming, Pretty Interiors. Three big Stuffed portobello mushrooms were fabulous. Thick juicy rib-eye steak with mushrooms and onions prepared perfectly, lots of broccoli and potatoes on the side. Delicious homemade tiramisu for dessert only $5. Cant wait to go back!!
As I sit on the toilet Im thinking how I shouldnt have given any of my food a chance past the poor presentation. Poor quality food all around but our waitress was nice which gained them one star. I tipped the waitress heavily because I felt so bad that she had to represent such an embarrassment to the restaurant industry.
Im not sure what the negative reviews are about. Ninos has quickly become my favorite place to get pizza within the area. Every other entree has been fantastic (I recommend the lasagna!) and I thoroughly enjoy the home cooked meal feeling. The atmosphere is cozy and pleasant, and the waitstaff has always been incredibly friendly and accomadating. If you read this, give Ninos a chance!
We had the chance to take kids for a quick meal after the mall. Staff was very friendly. It appears to be a family owned business and needs full community suport as small businesses now a days need full comunity support. We ordered pizza and quality was excellent. Staff was very helpful and gracious. I tried fettuccini Barolo and it was excellent, a must try. Calamari appetizer was very good. Highly recommend. Look for Brie . She is fantastic. It needs a lot of local community support for a small family owned business. Come on auburn hills.
Ninos is a secret gem of a Italian restaurant. I went with a six person party. Of the six dishes ordered 1 was meh, 3 were good but not the best theyve eaten and 2 were Damn Amazing. The Rigatoni Alla Vodka and the Penne Madrid were fantastic! The service was great and the staff were friendly. If I had a honest complaint at all, it would be the menu could use some updating and a face lift. I plan to revisit this establishment. Thanks Ninos!
It took forever to get our food on a Tuesday with hardly anyone in the place. Anytime we asked our waitress something she answerd I dont know we had to ask other employees. They dont have wings as the menu states. Theyre CHICKEN LEGS!!!! We were never asked if we wanted refills on our drinks.. we were there for 2 hours and the kids got their CHEESE pizza after everyone was literally done eating. Im giving it one star because the pizza is good if you GET IT TO GO!!! so disappointed..
Unfortunately really really disappointing. Dont come here if you are looking for authentic Italian food :-(We had big hopes in this place since we live in the apartment complex right behind Ninos. We went there on the second or third day after they opened. I understand that not everything can be perfect in the first few days after an opening but everything just felt like done half-hearted.The ambient was nice and we got seated right away. It was a little weird that there was no music playing. We ordered Lasagna and Lemon Chicken with Broccoli. The waitress was super nice and brought out some bread and a salad before we got our dinner.Unfortunately they served us STALE old baguette, it tasted like from Meijer down the street. Why just not taking some thing pizza dough seasoned with some olive oil and herbs? (That would be the authentic Italian way....) So easy to do and waaaaaaay better than baguette. (Which is also not Italian)We then waited around 30 more minutes for our food. When we finally got it we were disappointed: My lasagna was obviously pre-baked in a big pan, they just put one piece on a plate, put some extra pre-made sauce on top and warmed up for like 30 seconds (it couldnt have been much longer, since my food was COLD and the cheese on top was not even melted). My boyfriend ordered a side of broccoli with his chicken, instead he got mushy farfalle pasta drenched in pre-made tomato sauce as his side.Even though the food was cold and not good at all we didnt complain. We just wanted to pay our bill and leave. We waited and waited until suddenly the manager (? a blonde lady with glasses) came up to our table and said We heard your complaint that your food was cold and not good so we voided your check! We were a little confused and told them that we didnt mention anything to anyone, but they said it still would be free.Well in the end our meal was free but unfortunately we will not come back. If you are looking for an authentic Italian meal, please dont go there.Really really sad because the location and the ambient of the restaurant is great, but unfortunately it seems like the people who own this place didnt think it all the way through. :(
Very new place! Comfortable, and pleasant. The food: YUM!I had the ribeye with pasta side. The steak was cooked perfectly, and the pasta was excellent! They make each serving of sauce fresh to order.Desserts: tiramisu, was great!Server: Anna vita, ask for her! Very helpful (and she makes the tiramisu).I ( Dennis) had the ribs and broccoli with the lentil soup. The soup was flavored wonderfully. The ribs were fall off the bone tender and the broccoli was steamed but still crunchy. And I hate tiramisu. I cant stand how over coffee flavor. This was not. Just enough to give you the flavor but not over. I loved it.
Was brought here by family and thus had no choice but to suffer through this miserable dining experience. Despite being the only people in the restaurant we had to wait upwards of an hour for three pizzas piled with soggy canned ingredients and boatloads of government surplus quality cheese and grease. I suspect they hadnt bothered to turn the oven on until we arrived! If you like affordable middle-school cafeteria quality food, a lack of music, and iced tea that tastes like plastic then Ninos is for you!
I absolutely love this place. Ninos Italian grill is the best place you can possibly go to in the world!!!! I gave this a 5 star rating because they deserve it. The soup was delicious, the chicken was delightly seasoned, and dont even get me started on the pasta! The pasta had great sauces, the pizza was the greatest! I lived my life there, if I were you and were hungry, I would go to ninos Italian grill and eat your life!!!
Worst customer service! Today is Sunday, July 30th at 1:45 PM. I just walked out of this restaurant due to the rude behavior of the 2 Caucasian hostesses/waitresses and male Caucasian person at the bar. Bad service began as I walked in the door with 3 others, total of 4 in my party. We waited at the door behind another couple waiting to be seated for several minutes, while the man at the bar looked on glaring, hoping no one walked to sit in his area. I went to look for the restroom and walked towards where the man stood at the bar, he proceeded to glare at me with an attitude until I told him I was only looking for the restroom. His attitude changed and he was ever so happy to direct me away from his area, he clearly wanted nothing to do with servicing anyone. I went to the restroom, came back and my party along with the couple was Still waiting to be seated. The 2 Caucasian waitresses walked over with an uninviting look and said, how many? We told her and she looked disgusted to have to sit customers. My daughter wanted to play tic tac toe so we took one of the paper kid menues and asked for a couple of crayons, the rude, sour puss employee starred and said yes we have crayons, and continued to just stare and give us a dirty look; I guess we shouldnt haveasked for crayons, maybe she gets a bonus for not giving out crayons! SMH! The Sour puss sat us at a booth where we sat for several minutes, no one greeted us, no one brought us water, so my party and I got up and walked out! This place will Not be open for long with employees like this. I cannot give any recommendations on food, the bad attitude of the employees that greeted me at the door was enough to Never have me return..
Absolutely terrible. Wait staff, unreliable to nonexistent. Zero condements/spices (salt or pepper) on the table. Soup was cold. When meal came out, was never offered bread, extra parmesean anything. When I asked for bread, what they brought out looked like it was left over from another table. 4 thin slices of a store bought French Baggett with 2 butter packets. I ordered a pizza to go, when we asked for boxes to take home our leftovers (god help me but I dont know why) the waitress never asked if we cared for dessert or something else to drink. Brought me my check and no pizza, which she did not charge me for. Felt as bad as the experience was, it probably wasnt worth asking or staying any longer for it. Just needed to get out of there. Was starting to listen to the other patrons around me complain about the service and food. Table next to us sent back their homemade lasgna because it was cold. How on earth do you have cold lasgna let alone homemade lasgna. Wish there was an option for negative stars. Think they should close the doors and start over from scratch.
Wow! The portion sizes were amazing!I had the Chicken Cremosi with a side of penne pasta with palomino sauce. The chicken was pounded thin, like schnitzel. It was soooo good and lemony.I will definitely return, but may split a meal with my bf:)Had to add that while we incredibly full, we were talked into the tiramisu....TO DIE FOR!!!! Best Ive ever had!!
Thought we would try this new place! My husband and I eat out a lot, and never have we had such an awful meal! This is not authentic Italian! I ordered shrimp scampi, I received butterfly deep fried shrimp, with lemon squirted on it, and Penne pasta, with tomato sauce, that looked like it was from a wedding the night before! Not at all Shrimp Scampi!! Im not sure what part of Italy this version would come from, but this is not shrimp scampi! My husband ordered Chicken Parmesan, the chicken was so overcooked it was burnt, and no noodles! We were given sliced baquette for a bread basket, cold and no silverware! The waiter we had was horrible, I asked what kind of noodles come with my meal, he said he has no idea, didnt offer to find out! Then as we are waiting for our food, Im noticing other customers are getting salads, I ask when he came back to our table, should we have gotten salads with our meal, he says yeah I found that out afterward! Didnt offer to bring us salads, or take anything off the bill! It was a $42.00 lesson learned! Do not go to this restaurant, I give him 3 months, maybe less! Very dissapointing, if I could give a minus, I would!
This place was fantastic. Flatbread for an appetizer. Son had the minestrone soup and the chef pasta. Husband had a house salad and fettuccini Alfredo with chicken. The sauce on both was really complementary to both dishes. I had a house salad and the lasagne. It was soo good. This place just opened and we will be back for sure!!
I tried different kind of food and was very Satisfied . Great fettuccine Alfredo & Barolo and the pizza sauce its amazing. Pretty busy place and understanding the stuff was very busy but the hospitality was great . Will definitely come back with my friends and family
Had hesitations to come here because the parking lot was empty at 6:30 pm. On a Wednesday evening. To my surprise, The service and food was very good, restaurant was very clean and I would definitely come back, I just hope I was here on an off night. It would be a shame to see a family establishment not succeed.
My advice to the owner is you better get on site quick and spend every waking hour managing this restaurant. My prediction is this place will be out of business in less than 6 month.Every aspect from drinks to appetizer to meal was the worst experience I have ever had.Disappointing.......
Terrible service. We were seated and had to wait about 15 min just to get water. Then our waiter came and gave us our drinks about 10 min later. We ordered our food and waited about 45 min before we decided to leave. Never got our food! This place isnt going to last til Christmas if they continue this route.

2021-12-05Drove 4 hours down for a lions game (disappointing enough), until we stopped at this restaurant excited for a nice Italian meal. Ordered fried calamari….was the texture of a rubber band slightly breaded in flour. Sent back barely eaten. We ordered the homeade fresh lasagna and my wife ordered rigatoni Marsala with chicken/mushroom. I had 15 layers of noodles (see picture with noodles torn apart) with no trace at all of filling and a bland sauce while her meal was a pile of noodles with a sour tasting sauce and 2 pieces of grey chicken and canned mushrooms. (Not an exaggeration). This was absolutely some of the lowest quality plating and lowest quality food we have ever had in our life. We ordered some takeout as well to take to our hotel which came with some potato soup that reminded us of flavorless tapioca pudding. The waitress was pretty slow but super nice and she comped our main meals because we had them tore apart and disgusted but being I never complain about food no matter the quality because I myself am a chef at a restaurant and know some places just skimp and I deal with it but this was a whole new level so we decided to pay the takeout and calamari. This place has the perfect atmosphere but my god they need someone with a couple brain cells. Go down the road to the gas station and enjoy better quality food. 1 star for the nice waitress. P.S the great reviews are from people that are obviously high.

2022-02-13We tried to find something different to eat for Saturday night before Valentines day dinner. Decided to stop by here to try it out, since we have driven by it a few times and always wanted to try. We entered the restaurant no one was at the front. We waited 20 minutes before anyone even acknowledged we were there. The restaurant was not full you can see plenty of booths and tables open. A waitress just happened to walk by so i asked Do we seat outselves? No one is here she left to get someone and again we waited. Finally someone came up only to say there is a 30 minute wait because the kitchen was backed up. We left and will not be back. Worst service i have experienced in a long time. I would give them a zero if i could.

2022-03-28We had my daughter’s shower. there and they were wonderful! Very nice and accommodating. The waitress went out of her way for us. The food was great. They made homemade Tiramisu and it was delicious. The waitress made it that morning and talked to me about how it was made and how to care of the left over since I, luckily, ordered so much, we took some home. The room was great for the shower and we enjoyed every minute!

2022-03-21I wasnt really impressed. I had the Chicken Parmigiano with a salad and the Salted Carmel martini. The breading on the chicken was a little mushy, I had to pick through the salad to find the good pieces of lettuce, and the drink was not as good as I was hoping. The service was great. Our waitress was very nice and attentive. But as far as the food goes, its just ok.

2021-06-12This is billed as homemade Italian. They may make make everything here, but they do not use fresh ingredients. The minestrone tasted a lot like Veg-All with some tomato. Bruschetta was not toasted or have any hard crust. It was soft white bread. Ive not had soft white bread in southern or northern Italy..not even Sicily. The mushrooms in the Angel hair pasta were canned. This was very interesting. Nothing tasted horrible, but nothing tasted great either. The Parm was boxed, not fresh shredded.

2022-04-08They opened the restaurant early for a special group lunch...Kate (our server) was top notch as was the assortment of traditional Italian cuisine. Nice decor and well kept eatery...will definitely return.

2022-03-31Got takeout and went back to our hotel. OMG that was fabulous food! If you go, try Ninos Trio - three of their entres in one dish, and a large serving so go hungry. Highly recommended and reasonably priced.

2022-06-11If you are used to eating authentic and fresh cooked italian this is NOT the place to go. We ordered the shrimp cremosi for appetizer which is described as roasted garlic, wine lemon cream,, well what we got was frozen butterfly shrimp that was battered so hard it was like cement, covered in a large plop of alfredo sauce. There was ZERO finesse when it came to the plating at all, it was just plopped on top,, zero garnish at all (NOT THAT IT WOULD HAVE SAVED THIS PLATE AT ALL) but if you are courageous enough to serve this garbage at least try to jazz it up! The soup was very HOT (although it was tasteless and reminded me of watered down Campbells because even Campbells is more seasoned than what I received. The bread basket was nice and soft so I really enjoyed the bread and butter dinner. Im not even going to mention the main entrees because Im not trying to bash the store, but wow,, if as much attention was paid to the food as the beautiful parking lot then maybe it would be full.
