Comment: I have worked in the Auto Industry for many years, and it can be a tough business to navigate as a consumer. Most people dont even like the thought of buying a vehicle because at some point in their lives, they have come upon less than honest salespeople, sales managers, and finance managers. My stepson had this experience just recently at Nissan of Torrance.The problem is that this young man is on the Spectrum and got caught up with several less than honest people and ended up signing his life away on a car that is nowhere near worth what they sold it to him for, as well as ending up with payments he now cannot afford. YES, he signed the paperwork, although none of it was explained to him in a language he could understand. There is no debating that he signed the paperwork.Being in the business, I attempted to call and speak to PHONG ARBOGAST, who was the finance manager for the deal. This man was one of the rudest people I have ever spoken to. I explained who I was and what I thought should be done to help my stepson out with this issue, and he passed the buck saying it was all the salesman and sales managers doing. He then refused to talk to me any further and handed the phone over to my stepson, who was there in his office at the time. (I was on the phone as I live in another state.)Needless to say, nothing was resolved, as each person just passed the buck to someone else.PHONG ARBOGAST made me disgusted by the very business that I work in. I have advised my stepson NOT to return to this dealership for ANY reason. There are plenty of other Nissan dealers where he can have his service work done.

Comment: Not a great experience if you’re looking to buy a used car that’s listed on a different website. I confirmed my appointment with Sonny at 7pm with the Nissan virtual assistant for a specific used car they had available. I sent an email specifically asking if they still had this car in stock. I got a confirmation for an appointment to test drive it. I drove from Norwalk to Torrance after work for this appointment. Only to be told the car has already been sold and the salesman I was supposed to meet with was nowhere to be found. The salesmen who greeted us were fast to resolve the issue and not keep us waiting which was considerate. But I don’t believe i’ll be inclined to do business with them again.

Comment: Last October 2023, my daughter bought a 2020 Kicks, Certified Pre-Owned. The vehicle had numerous issues during the first 4 months she owned it. The most serious occurred a short distance after exiting a freeway in LA; shes driving down the road and the vehicle just stopped in the middle of traffic. This was the last straw before getting Nissan Corporate involved. Nissan of Torrance didnt want to do anything. No problems that occurred with this car were covered by the CPO warranty. They gave her the run-around about everything. INHO, theres no way this car should have been sold as Certified; and Nissan Corporate, after performing a service history on this car, agreed. They have agreed to re-purchase the car from my daughter. Unfortunately, it doesnt end there. We paid cash, yet we still dont have a valid registration for the car. Why? Because theres an issue with the title which the dealership has never explained. We’re definitely not done yet.

Comment: Intiually took the vehicle in for oil change, filter change and tire rotation . Manny your technician offered to get 2 others services done . Which were coolant flush and transmission flush . Once they completed that my car was returned . They failed to lock in my cap where they refilled the coolant which resulting in a spill all over my hood and I noticed my tires were not rotated . They were all at different levels .i called the dealership to notify them which I had to call like 4 times to get a hold of Manny I was very upset . Took it back in at 2:10pm to get my cap put on and get my hood clean from all the coolant spill on my hood and once again no tire rotation. Tires all the same . At this point I was not going back, for what the technicians failed to complete the work the second time . Now my time and gas was just waisted . 4 days after my “TIRE ROTATION “ should have been done now I have to take my car to a tire shop because my tire sensor came on and all this could of been avoided that day . If the Technician would of rotated my tires, leveled them perhaps if I needed a new tire I’m sure I would have been notified to purchase it then and there at the dealership.Now I was charged for the tire rotation because it’s part of a service with the oil change and it wasn’t done .

His customer service is impeccable, down to even making sure I have water . He also shared his banana with me and I was starving that morning haha! He assures me of every price for each service required. He makes sure I check my emails to see if I have any discounts available. He also makes sure they the parts department doesnt work on anything until I approve it . They caused me to go late on my FIRST payment because they didnt know or couldnt tell me who on earth I was financing the car with. Believe me i went back and fourth with them for a week and they kept telling me Golden1 which was never the case and it ended up being Nissan the whole time. Poor experience and incompetence. Everything else was great and I was happy with the vehicle I got and the dealer who helped me was knowledgeable, friendly, and inviting.

I reached young lady, by the name of Gabriella, who was very pleasant with answering the phone. For the first time I explained to her about my experience at the previous dealership, and what it was, I was trying to get answers, for she asked me some questions I answered them. She was able to set me up an appointment, told me that I would speak with the guy named Mark And that he would definitely assist me and they would try to get me in and out as soon as possible when I arrived at the dealership to get my car serviced a gentleman walked up to the car. I let him know that I had an appointment gave him the time and he told me no worries he would make sure that he assisted me properly. The young man’s name was Jimmy, some of the best customer service that I have received at a dealership since I moved, even though this dealership is not local to me I will drive every time it’s time for me to get my car serviced to this dealership because of the customer service I received not only with Gabriella and Jimmy but the overall staff there very friendly, very helpful. On top of that, theyll force you to buy stupid accessories and add-ons that amount to $2400, which I found hilarious. These guys just allure you with seemingly lower prices on their website, but will give you a quote with significantly overpriced OTD price for the used ones. I dont do business with this kind of dealerships.

Comment: Wow. I worked with Clayton and Christian, and have not had a better experience buying a car in my life. I have bought about 15 cars, and this experience was out of this world. Clayton the sales manager is personable and transparent. He is patient, understanding, and helpful. Christian is a joy to work with and is a good mix of knowledgeable and kind. The finance department at the dealership constantly loses track of paperwork and processes, and will not call back or email back despite endless, cordial attempts at resolution. Twice I’ve had routine processes go completely awry - with no explanation or responsibility taken by the dealership. Save yourself the pain, suffering, and need for possible legal action by shopping elsewhere. These people will not take care of you. Completely disorganized and unprofessional. I’m getting charged for cars I no longer own again and again. It’s just maddening, financially damaging and careless.*Editing the review to note that I will be reporting my experience to the Better Business Bureau, as I am reaching week 10 with no resolution from the dealership to refund the $3500 owed to my lender. As long as they dont pay my lender I still get charged for a vehicle on a monthly basis, which was totaled in a hit and run incident. (Nissan, thank you for asking if I was injured? No one did). The customer service manager has not reached out personally to me to try and make the experience any better. All she has done is deflect responsibility in the post below. I have no faith that the dealership will pay what is owed to the lender in a timely fashion. When I finally received a call from the head of finance he did not have any of the relevant details for my account, it was only after posting a negative review, and I had to supply all the information again to him directly. He said hes splitting time between two offices and unable to get the refund check signed (not my problem). Do not sell cars if you cannot handle the back end of the business. Wise customers should stay away from this dealership and save yourself the exhaustion.

When I arrived, the service person quickly inspected my car and told me a lot of the fluids were not replaced in the past that should have been replaced. Because of that, she said she was charging me more now because it would cost more now since it wasn’t done in the past. Her quote for the services was over $600! She didn’t tell me about all the coupons that were on the dealerships website. And she was telling me about services that would be needed in 1-2 hours, even after I told her I was turning in my lease in a few months. She also told me the service would take 2 hours max.I went on your dealership website and found coupons for the services I needed. The service took over 3.5 hours instead of the promised 2 hours. So for this certified pre own 2021 Sentra which was bought in July, you have replaced the battery and the alternator. You are also correct in that a loaner vehicle was provided after I was first told no you didnt have any and had to be very persistent to get it. At this point I dont care if its the service or the sales department, all of you represent Nissan of Torrance, the 2 yr old car that was purchased less than 3 months ago should not have had these problems which has resulted in now numerous inconveniences not only for me but others. I will do whatever is needed so that perhaps your service team will do a better job so this doesnt happen to others and I really hope this is the last problem with this car.

Comment: Don’t go to this dealership!!! Worst experience with Nissan. They made me wait 30 mins after my appointment to be helped. Then they said they would need 2 hours to complete the service. Three hours later I called them because I didn’t hear from anyone. They said the brakes need to be replaced and that would take another hour and a half if I agree to change them. So I said go for it. I waited 3 hours instead of the hour and a half and no one called!! So I called and someone kept hanging up on me after talking to her first time and showing her that I was angry from waiting all this. The person who helped me from the beginning and her name was Alisa, she only do texts. She doesn’t bother to call or to answer your calls. She texted me some parts needed to be ordered and that was the reason for the delay. I don’t know how am I supposed to believe that! If they need to be ordered what were doing with the car all this time!! Finally I texted her that I’m coming to pick up my car and I don’t want them to replace anything!! I picked up my car and guess what! Alignment wasn’t done properly and car is going off lane when you push on gas and I have to take it to a different dealership now! They had the car for 7 hours and all they did was sh**.

The receipt lists labor costs as the primary charge, I dont understand how there ended up over double what was quoted.2. This store needs a Lyft pickup area assigned. I appreciate that they order/pay for a Lyft to get home but the driver gps was sent to a different parking lot and he couldnt find me at the store even though I was waiting outside. There is no cell service at the building and so we almost missed each other since I couldnt recieve messages.3. The dropoff process was very smooth and easy. The waiting room is nice, and I liked having a direct textline with an associate. They do hire you a rideshare if you dont prefer to wait at the store.

Comment: My review is based on the Sevice Department only....I went in to get a standar oil change service because Nissan has a unbeatable mid week price for synthetic oil and a oil filtet swap for $39.99 compared to other mom and pops charging me over a $100 dollar for a 2022 nissan versa.The downside is that even with an appointment set up you are expected to sit there for like 3 hours!!! That is a problem that needs to be fixed.. I reached out to one the service agents and well after 2 hours the agent said they are bringing my car into the shop 😡Pros: Good Price in Service. Manager is very profesional.Cons: Time management, service delays even when fully staffed department is available. Lack of Scheduling on appointments and control of flow of people getting service.At the end of the day thats my professional and personal perspective, its under your discretion when doing business with the Service department.

Then had an attitude when we no longer wanted to try and wanted to leave. Comment: I took in my vehicle for a check up on an engine light. The vehicle has less than 5k miles on it. I got a call that they didn’t find anything but an error message, but no real problem was identified. When I showed up to pick up my car. There was 1 associate assisting the clients. Two others were on the computer. Waited 10-15 mins until I asked if someone was going to help the rest of us. One of the associates avoided looking at me and attempted to walk away until I said who is helping the other associate with the rest of the clients. I showed up during my lunch so my time was limited. The associate walked into an office and then he came out and another one came and asked who needed help. The other associate went ahead to assist me tells me to wait outside for my car. He took another 10-15 mins to come out with my car and ended up at the other entrance and just tells me my car was all the way inside. It was such a horrible experience. If I would have never asked who was going to assist us. We would probably still be waiting there, but when I showed up to view cars everyone was quick at trying to help me. Now that I have a car there is no sense of urgency or a process for a smooth transaction. It’s chaos, no order when dropping off the car, no line to help clients and no order to get the car back.

Saul was hands down the best, he made us feel right at home. He was very friendly and generous and related to us on a personal level. Comment: I would heavily advise that you avoid this location. Besides the usual upcharging, they messed up my car (which led to literally $1000+ of repairs that we did trying to figure out what the problem was), admitted to the mistake, but made no real attempt to rectify the issue, simply saying tough luck, heres a free oil change.I originally went in late October to get an oil change and another key for our car (our spare had broken). I did not know during that visit that if you get another key, you need to have all keys present when they re-program the car; if I had known that, I would have avoided the key issue altogether.Well, the next day, the car wouldnt turn over (found out later that the old key vs the new key was the real issue). We initially thought it was a battery, but AAA checked the battery and said it was in good health. He recommended that it might be the starter. When I called Nissan of Torrance back, they said it would be anywhere between $800-1300 for a starter, depending on what the issue was. Not wanting to take it back to the place which seemed to have caused the problem (which it actually did), we took it to a different location and got a new starter for $550. It would work fine, but the next day, again stopped working. We then took it to a different shop and they recommended the spark plugs, which was about another $600. When we picked up the car, they mentioned that the car computer seemed to have been improperly reprogrammed, and thats when we realized that the key was the real issue.When I called Nissan of Torrance, they apologized, saying the guy is new and he didnt know, and hes been punished. Im not looking for people to be punished, but at this point, weve put in over $1000 of unnecessary repairs because of their mistake. Instead of offering some solution, the service manager literally chided me, saying you should have brought it back in!. Yeah, Im going to bring it back to the same location where the problems started, AND for an additional estimated $800-1300. What a joke.He offered me an oil change or some other BS service, but at this point, I wouldnt trust Nissan of Torrance with microwaving a bag of popcorn. I dont know, to me, if your shop makes a mistake, you should offer to rectify the problem and offer real compensation, but hey, what do I know about customer service? smh.Oh, and I sent my concerns along to the general manager of the dealership with no response. *shrug* Just avoid this location unless you want to light money on fire and be blamed for their mistakes.

Granted this is not a vehicle you buy for gas mileage, but for comfort and luxury, and a great vehicle for a road trip - this one is fantastic. The team at Nissan of Torrance went ABOVE AND BEYOND to provide excellent service and a deal I could not resist (thanks to Sales Manager Esteban Montorro)! Also, John Stewart (Sales Consultant) went out of his way to provide a high level of service, even driving to our home (nearby) to pick me up and then back again to get some signatures from my wife (we only have one car at this time) - all this while staying late until I finally drove the car off the lot. There was zero pressure to do this deal, but enough great service and thoughtful deal-making to make it an easy decision. Comment: I visited Nissan of Torrance because I wanted to get my brakes serviced and Chris and the tech were nice enough to work out a deal for me which I appreciate. However, I was disappointed when I got my car back and saw that my wheels had been scratched around where the lug nuts are. I understand that the Rays wheels are easy to scratch on the 370z, but I assumed some extra care would be taken. I contacted Chris who was my service advisor and he told me he would have the tech who worked on my car contact me. Over a day goes by and I am still waiting to be contacted. To get my wheels repaired will probably be a costly one and I will be going to another shop in the future. I care a lot about my car as a car enthusiast, but I guess its a failure on my part that I didn’t remind the tech to be careful.UPDATEI would like to first thank Elizabeths superb customer service for reaching out to me and making things right. She was excellent in following up and walked me through the course of action that Nissan wanted to take, which resulted in repainting all four wheels. The paint shop that Nissan decided to go with did manage to put a couple dents in my brand new front bumper which is a bit disappointing, but I understand this is not the fault of Nissan. Comment: After having my car for almost 10 years it was time for a new vehicle. I ended up with a 2020 Nissan Maxima and couldnt be more happy with my new car! This dealership definitely feels like a family environment; one in which the customers satisfaction is most important.As soon as I walked in I was greeted and had a fantastic experience with my salesman, Howard. He was friendly, patient, and showed me lots of options. I test drove many cars until I finally selected the Maxima. In addition to Howard, Miguel, The General Service Manager, made sure I was happy and taken care of. He checked in on me and made me feel taken care of. I came in a bit late in the day and when it got to be past dinnertime I was treated to dinner while I wrapped up the paperwork. I am very appreciative of all the help and guidance I was given while I got a new car. Liz was awesome and made sure my customer experience was top notch. She called me after my transaction and made sure I was happy and assured me I could contact her should a problem arise. I would definitely recommend this dealership to all of my friends and family! Thank you for a positive experience!

Comment: If youre looking for a new or used vehicle, look no further. Ask for the Mighty Trio and they will move mountains for you. Starting with Veronica Hernandez (sales consultant). Veronica thrives is making you -the customer-happy. Incredibly polite and courteous. Pure professional. Now we move to Christian Casco...the one that will not accept NO for an answer. If you enjoy a good tango dance, he is that partner to seek. Christian approved me for the vehicle I wanted and at the price that was affordable for me, during these trying times. Christian even gave me a glove so we could shake hands! Everyone at Nissan of Torrance is fully aware of this pandemic and wear masks to protect their customers. I am very grateful for the experience and the outcome. Lastly, is Andy Vo (finance manager). With years of experience under his belt, he was able to provide me with an astonishing vehicle warranty. Andy provided peace of mind for myself because he understood my financial situation. Go to Nissan of Torrance!

Comment: Its the worst ever we had to wait more than 2 hours just to get the oil changedThen when we got back the car wasnt touchedEven though they have said that we gotta wait 1 hour but it took them three hoursAint no body working inside all the employees are standing or playing with their phonesJust the car wash men were working.I guess they all need a new management

Comment: I was recently in for service and let me tell you that the service I received from the moment I drove in to the time I checked out was nothing less than EXCELLENT! Claudio my service Advisor greeted me at my vehicle, and was wearing a mask and gloves which immediately made me feel safe and comfortable. He was very informative and thoroughly explained the work being recommended, I declined a few of the recommended services, and not once did I feel pressured into having all the work done immediately. Some of the work that I did have to perform as I was past due was done at a discounted price thanks to Jonathan Ong, Claudios Manager. With no hesitation he helped out and really made all the difference, especially during these hard times. The day after my service visit I received a call from Liz their Customer Relations Manager, to make sure that I was satisfied with my visit, that truly speaks volume about the quality of customer service they strive to provide. Overall the staff was very friendly and welcoming, I felt right at home. I am not one to go online and review, but I really believe that Nissan of Torrance deserves the praise and recognition. Thank you all for your excellent work and customer service. You now have a loyal customer!

Comment: I had a great experience at Nissan of Torrance on Jan. 10: went in to get air in my tires and came out with a lease on a new 2019 Leaf! I appreciated the easy side street access to the dealership, quick attention and no charge from the service department, and pleasant demeanor of the sales rep (Neysan Sassani) who talked to me about the new Leaf while I waited. Since my lease was expiring soon and Id had an excellent experience with my 2017 Leaf, I didnt take much persuading. They found a car with the specs I wanted and retrieved it from Costa Mesa while we did the paperwork. The new car was delivered to my home and old car was picked up that evening.One thing I did not do was comparison-shop for lease deals. Normally I would use AAAs buying service to get the best price, but I wasnt sure if that applied to leasing or to EVs (it does), and this all happened so fast that I didnt do my research. The convenience was terrific, but next time I will slow it down a bit for more peace of mind.Meanwhile I am happily driving my beautiful new Leaf from Torrance Nissan!
