If I could give you guys a 0 star I would. The WORST renting experience Ive ever had they will sneak charges in and then tell the tenant theyre responsible for paying said fee. My washer failed my furnace failed. My fridge failed. The vent fan in the bathroom failed.... but I refused to call there management and be treated with such disrespect 24/7 the only time these people are kind is when youre looking to rent a property or making a payment. They literally had me pay for there dumb maintenance tech to pull a sock from my washer and claimed that was worth 250.00 what I joke I work in HVAC and this company is a scam. They charged over 150 to hang a rod with draped in the basement as a door due to codes... DO NOT RENT RUN AS FAST AS YOU CAN
This company is terrible!!! Been in one of there properties since June and I have a 3,000 dollar water bill. My toilet had been leaking. We paid 400 on the bill and asked how much was the upcoming bill and the water company told us 950.00 dollars. We then called the company, and the young lady on the phone was veey rude, and the company never returned call. Until we knew we had to replace it or the bill would keep climbing. Because the owner of the house rides by and watches us on a daily, he saw the toilet in front of the house, wasnt even 24 hrs that we got a call from the company saying what the owner was about to do but didnt have intentions on replacing a toilet. So we dont get our money back for the toilet that needed to be replaced. This toilet was pink and didnt even have shut off valves and the only way to cut it off is to turn all the water off. The company sent someone out in July and they did nothing. The owner came by in which we are specifically supposed to go thru the company, he did nothinguHe also told me his grandmother has been shaking the handle for 30 years! Weve been trying to get this handled since July. Oh and did I mention we pay 1,000 dollars for rent and havent been late paying it. Worse experience of our lives!!!
Terrible all around, I could complain about a million different things but my guess is the actual owners never get to see the complaints. Shady company that does not explain all the details of the lease with you. Like the $100 and $75 service call fees when something breaks in your unit. I am a property manager and my company is way, way, better!!
Absolutely the WORST company to work with EVER. THEY WITHHELD MY SECURITY DEPOSIT! Kept LYING that it was sent out....flat out REFUSED to send me ANY sort of proof that it was sent. ALYSSA (who answers phones) LITERALLY SWORE AT ME...and HUNG UP ON ME over 20 times....and then flat out refused to send me any sort of proof that my security deposit was sent out. ...but thats just my security deposit. lets talk about my renting experience. my windows are probably the original windows that the house came with. the draft is so bad in the winter, its as if you left the front door open. my windows were literally falling apart... but were PAINTED back on to the house...i could only open 2 or 3 of them total....all of the rest of them were painted shut. my patio was falling apart after 3 months of living there....75% of all my electrical outlets didnt work because an idiot must have wired the house....MY WHIRLPOOL TUB - a selling point - BROKE AFTER 2 months of living there...and NORTH BLOOMFIELD refused to fix it!! they sent a repair man who cut a giant whole in my ceiling and then told me it was unfixable. great. my shower was leaking...to the point that after i moved out, when the water wasnt even being used, my water bill was STILL over $150!....but they also flat out refused to fix that too!!!! PLEASE READ THIS AND TAKE MY ADVICE NOTTTTTTTT TO RENT FROM THIS COMPANY AND NOT TO HIRE THEM TO MANAGE YOUR PROPERTY!!!!!!
Worked with North Bloomfield properties years ago when they handled six rentals and they were great! As a landlord Indie keep up the property but that was always done in a timely manner and thru Al. I am glad to hear about his success and find the negative reviews hard to believe. Thanks to Bloomfield for my past success!I
Scam scam scam they tried to raise our rent with out the landlord consent they tried to throw my family and I in the streets if we did not pay 500 more a month when I called landlord and explained they had no idea please stay away from this company please look somewhere else ERIC THE PROPERTY MANAGER IS A SCAM HE IS A THEIF PLEASE DOMT MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE I MADE PLEASE DONT
This is such a poorly ran company. Nena is clearly incapable of doing her job. On top of Lance texting me threatening me if I dont remove my negative feed back, he will have my lease terminated. All over their incapabilitys to do their job and give me the association information and stop charging me for bills that arent mine. They harass you and threaten you with no legal grounds to stand on. Good try.
Just please take my word for it and NEVER COME HERE! they can keep my application fee if that means I dont have a future of dealing with the rudest most unprofessional company EVER! They have no understanding as to how to talk to customers! Be careful with how you word things cause the moment they take it the wrong way they start talking rude and getting defensive and dont look at you as a person...just business!! Curtis will put on a front on the phone!
I have rented from North Bloomfield properties for the last seven years they’ve been fantastic when it comes to maintenance and any other questions I have pertaining to my house. If you are looking to rent a house, North Bloomfield properties can put you in the perfect one
I spoke with a guy named Steve.s he said they would sign a paper so we can get help with the security deposit, and today told us they wont sign papers. they told us they wanted 2000 dollars for security deposit , first months rent , and cleaning fee. told me to email info@north bloomfeild properties. CAN ANY ONE GIVE ME ANSWERS TO THIS ISSUE. WITH THIS AND IS THIS PLACE A SCAM
I recently tried to rent a property with them , They wouldnt even let us see the property without running our name.The Application department is terrible and LAZY they kept saying you get approved for up to a 1000$ rental property like the house was a credit card lol TERRIBLE COMPANY glad I didnt get the place because now i could just imagine what i would actually had to have dealt with.

2022-06-19Not only did they waste our time and forgot that we had a viewing scheduled to look at a house and the guy just completely forgot. If youre Black dont expect to get any properties for rent because they wont rent to you & and be prepared to have your time wasted as well.

2022-02-01On move in day was dirty and smelled really bad. The paint look like it was done by a child. Tried calling the office they are rude and can not help. The agent never replied! Steer clear of this company! I should’ve known to clear from my encounters with the office and agents nothing was ever handled professionally! Avoid at all cost!

2020-10-31DO NOT RENT FROM THESE SLUMLORDS. I had the misfortune of having them as my landlords for exactly a year. Not only did they fail to repair things in a timely fashion. They billed me for their computer glitches. They also billed me for damage to the house before I moved in and made known. The best part is they mailed this information to my old address this defeating the 7 day law. Despite my wife providing them with the new address when we informed them we were moving. I paid my rent throughout the pandemic on time. But they couldnt repair my rental home on any real time.Do yourself a favor find a different place to live. These people are not worth your frustrations.I would gladly talk to the owners of this organization about this. But as in the past they are gutless and refuse to actually own up to their faults.

2020-10-08I dont want to have to leave a bad review but my experience renting from this company has just been very unethical and toxic. Being from out of state and not knowing my way around the area I had to go through a property management company via web. I knew the property was a fixer upper and thought it had great potential. The agent told me the minor repairs would be taken care of before my move in date. I moved in during the heart of snowy cold winter and the water heater didnt even work. The management company wanted me to wait a full week before they could fix it. Are you kidding? The washer dryer was broken, the gate was smashed in and didnt close and bath tub clogged. I mean yeah, the rent was cheap but it wasnt free. Do your job! The city found out the water heater was replaced without a permit and I was to blame . Then a woman at the property management company had the nerve to call me and yell at me on the phone in a forceful manner telling me to hurry and sign some documents via email or the city wouldnt allow me to rent. I could not believe she had the nerve to yell at me like this situation was my fault. Then when I had the dignity to stand up for myself they wanted to act like I was the crazy one. Im telling you now the people at this company will lie straight to your face and talk behind your back. I had mentioned the previous bad reviews I read about the company to another agent at North Bloomfield and he told me if theyre complaining then they arent good tenants and there is something wrong with them.. Ya, sure its all my fault that I want to complain because It was so dirty when I moved in even though I had to pay a $200 cleaning fee. Ill take responsibility for my poor decision making skills and giving North Bloomfield the benefit of the doubt even after reading the terrible reviews . Not looking forward to what type of shenanigans theyre going to pull when its time to get back my deposit. Im the last person who wants to deal with conflict or drama. Seems like these people could tell and thought they would take advantage. Do not list your properties with this company. They might treat you well to get your business but they arent going out of there way for the property owners or the renters. Dont trust this middle man. Info will get lost in translation. Yeah, there definitely locally owned and operated so if your from out of state do not rent here. They will discriminate. Highly unprofessional.

2020-10-27Rented for 2 years. Solely cared about receiving their rent. Nothing else. We didnt have hot water in the dead of winter for nearly 2 weeks. They sent an eviction letter because we held rent less than a week; cold showers were unbearable any longer. They then, a year later, docked our security deposit a late fee because of this. cash grab.

2020-04-07Staff have all been wonderful.Making payments is super simple!When I first moved in there were a few things that we needed adjusted, and they were taken care of quickly and nicely.Maintenance repairs have been quick, and the people who have done these repairs have been friendly and knowledgeable!We will happily rent through this company until we are ready to buy!Highly recommended!!

2019-05-13I have been renting through North Bloomfield for just over 2 years. They have been fair and honest with me through the whole experience. They have you take pictures upon move-in and give very clear expectations about the property. Any maintenance issues have been handles swiftly and fairly. Will be purchasing a home and moving out within 30 days, will update on that process as well.

2020-02-12This company was super hard to deal with, the lady who had originally showed us the property we saw was Kathy. Things started to go south trying to move forward with this rental property right after this first interaction. 2 of the 3 people who were going to live at this place saw the property and said okay, and the third member wanted to get an idea of the place sense it was listed at $1995 and had yet to see the inside. We spent days trying to get everything set up just for Kathy to tell us she would not show my friend the property unless we all paid $30 and applied to see if we would be approved to rent the place. Fine I understand your business is housed 45min away from this property however why should someone have to pay just to see something your renting when we are interested in it, so we came to the conclusion to just pay the $30 PER PERSON as we assured my friend he would like the place. Some time passed and we got approved to rent the location, so now I’m giving a number to talk with someone other than Kathy about setting up price and other incidentals, and I ask the guy to set up a time for my friend to see the property and they guy asks “anything else you would like to discuss” and I responded with yes the monthly price of the location, after no positive negotiations on price the guy then tells me yeah we’re not going to show you the property unless your willing to agree on their overpriced asking amount, which I responded rudely “so you guys just baited us into paying to see your property just to tell me you then again won’t show us the property unless you agree on our price” I was in the house for no more then 10min with Kathy and I’m not going to agree on a price until I can fully see what I’m paying for. This company was very rude so we are no longer looking to rent and after reading other people’s reviews I agree the BBB should look into this company, as I will be disputing the $30 fee with my credit card company
