I rent one of the temperature controlled units. I have had a storage unit here for many years and the current management is much better than the previous.

Comment: I called the service number and I made a reservation. The operator said that I get the first month free. When I went there and told the lady that I have a reservation, she end up charging me. Dont get me wrong, she was really nice. We had a nice conversation and laughed. Other than that I am happy with the monthly bill. Their prices are way better than their competitors. I ended my membership. The boss lady wasnt there. I gave my last payment to the other lady. Im still being called on.

I completed everything, signed all documents, provided my ID, my card was charged. But I didnt get a gate code. They said Sorry, we cannot give you a code. You can come back tomorrow. I have to cancel. Very disappointed.

Comment: I had a great experience with North Main Storage they were all very nice and friend and got courtesy calls so I wouldnt be late and have to pay over charges. They were just very helpful and very nice about everything and I locked my gate open a few times and they would put a lock on it just to make sure nothing would be stolen. Call me up and let me know and then unlock it when I got there which I thought was really great if I ever have to have storage again I am most definitely gonna go to North Main storage price was good. I had a huge locker indoors. Easy to get to just a real great experienceWhenever the staff is an excellent group of people, then you know youre in good hands with the rest of the place

Comment: DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE CROOKS!!!! This companies employees robbed me, and stole my unit by not sending me a bill and deceiving/lying to me about my bill due date. I called to get my balance and due date. They told me I would be okay to pay the following monday and there was no auction date Then when I went to pay my storage on Monday like they instructed me to, I then learned they sold my unit at auction thr Friday before that Monday. They straight up robbed me for all of my Grandmas possessions and my sons possesions. My Grandma had just recently passed, and the North Main grounds keeper at the time had an uneasy interest in the contents of my storage. I was lied to and robbed. Never would I allow anyone I know to do business with these crooks. Nobody wanted to resolve my issue. I was never contacted back after complaining, and the lady Diana at the front desk was extremely rude. It took a lot for me not to do anything in regards to retribution. Every chance I get I will let people know about these faulty crooks. DO NOT give them your business!!!!

From moving in and out of California and back the service never changed just got better. I had a storage unit there for 10 months. I always paid them. Comment: They dont take cash.......... sorry let me rephrase. Its a storage place. They dont do anything but units. All different dimensions. They have a unique security feature for hallway units. Here Ill give you an example. There are three doors to each hallway, 6 really. 3 on either side of each building. But bring a door stop. But for my example I will give the 3 doors on one side each a letter to explain. The letters are L.. O.. L.. . O is the unlocked door?? That gets you in the hallway. Now of course if your unit is closer to either of the L ends, you will have to prop them open with something. Otherwise you will be walking back to O every time you want to get back to an L. Overall a decent place with a secure code gate, restrooms, and frien....... buisness oriented staff. If you need to pay your bill however, money order, bank or credit card. NO CASH.

Comment: I was inside one the building my unit is in, waiting for the elevator to come down in the partially lit building. I faintly hear a womans voice playfully say, Ive been looking for youuuuuu! I call out but bo one answers. I figure I must be tripping. Then I hear the same voice tell me in a menacing, raspy voice, I found you! I shuffle towards the elevator and bolt in as soon as it opens. I step out at the second floor which is fully lit and has louder speakers that are playing music. Apprently the buildings have speakers that play music and the same artist was singing some pop song. I never laughed so hard at myself. 10/10 experience and 10/10 customer service. These people are really on top of taking care of you and make me feel valued.

Comment: I tried to purchase a replacement lock today since my key was kept with TSA when they took my pepper spray on a flight. I was told that I had to pay $25 cash to cut the lock when the signs say NO CASH. I was being told the new lock was card only since they don’t accept cash. The customer service woman couldn’t explain why I would be forced to pay two different transactions and wouldn’t let me complete a card payment. She wanted me to go down the street to get exact change and complained that she had to close before 5pm when the signs say they business closes at 6pm. I ended up leaving since she was being difficult and couldn’t justify the separate transactions.

Comment: My Husband and I moved from Idaho in Feb to California. We researched a good storage option, and decided on North Main Street Storage and booked a package through THEIR website. Well when we got there from our 2 day drive from Idaho with all of our things, we show up to the storage unit only to be harassed by the manager (Diana, her name is everywhere. I couldnt forget it if I tried) telling us that the special we had email proof that we received doesnt exist and she tried to bully us into paying the full $190 a month for the unit-- which I of course refused and told her she would honor the $80 deal we received. She agreed to do that for 4 months and would put notes into the system so we didnt get charged the full amount. So we moved into our unit.The following month I called in 4 days before rent was due to pay-- she couldnt find her notes and was insisting I needed to pay the $190 rent. I refused and told her to keep looking. Diana eventually remembered our interaction the month prior so she allowed us to pay the prorated rent and assured me that she would make sure to have notes on our account this time. Then 2 weeks later while in Texas visiting family I get a call from my mother telling me that we got a letter from our storage place and asked if she should open it, I agreed. The letter was a threat for not paying full rent telling us they were going to lock us out of our unit if it wasnt paid within a few days. I was livid and called North Main Storage only to get Diana. She tried to convince me I was wrong AGAIN. Then after 20 mins on the phone found her notes and assured me we wouldnt be kicked out of our unit.The following month we were still in Texas (thanks Covid), so I called to pay our rent again. Only to do the exact same thing as the previous month-- down to the threatening letter to remove us from the unit for partial rent.The 4th and final month we were in our unit, I asked my husband to call and deal with Diana because I was DONE. Of course he calls and gets wonderful, easy going and competent Kenny (couldnt say better things about this guy, he was awesome.) So within 2 mins Kenny found Dianas note about our account and my husband paid for our final month-- no issues.Then during the 4th and final month my husband and I flew into CA after covid restrictions were lifted to clean out our unit and move our belongings. The first 2 days we were clean it out we had wonderful Kenny, so we werent harassed. Then on the 3rd day we showed up at 9:10 to our unit (it was supposed to be unlocked by 9am btw) and the units are still locked. My husband left me to try to find Kenny to ask him to let us into the building to clean out our unit, but found and unlocked door on the other side of our building that someone else was using to get into their unit, so he walked through it to open our door so we could access our unit. Well at 9:30 here comes Diana who is accusing us of breaking in... and arguing with my husband as he tries to explain that it was going to 106 degree day so we were hoping to get started early, and since the door on the other side the unit was opened he just walked through. She was so hostile to us. Honestly TERRIBLE customer service. Their units get to like 90 degrees during the day (so much for temp controlled).We would NEVER store with them again. It was a terrible experience because of their site manager. There facility is nice for a storage place, but not nice enough to be harassed and accused of BS all the time. BEWARE.

Comment: 5 years after taking my stuff and closing out my account Im being accused of leaving the unit locked. Why am I being gone after FIVE YEARS LATER? You would think that after a few months of delinquency I would be contacted, but nope. No letters, no phone calls, just a bill thats apparently already been sent to collections demanding that I pay HUNDREDS of dollars. I rented here for LESS than a month back in 2015 while I was waiting to move into my new place and when I left I took the lock that I bought from the facility along with the rest of my things and moved on with my life thinking that was that. Now all of a sudden all these years later Im dealing with this S storm. So rent at your own risk and KEEP YOUR PAPERWORK so if they come after you 5 years from now youll be able to prove that theyre crooks.

Comment: RENTERS BEWARE, DO NOT RENT HERE!!! Rude staff members, prices always rising, and they close their doors 30 minutes before closing. The doors to get into the indoor units are supposed to be open until 7pm. They close early all the time. I show up at 6:25pm - 6:30pm and the doors are locked. I even call them to let them know I’m on my way, please don’t lock up early and they don’t care. I pay $300 a month for my unit and I can’t access my property because they close early. When I signed a contract to rent here the hours clearly state that they’re open until 7pm. I drive here from a different city and have to turn around with carloads of stuff all the time. The staff “Diana and Jennifer“ are incredibly USELESS and RUDE. One time I pulled up and Diana looked at me and said “not you again”. And this is because I expressed to them that they are contractually obliged to keep their doors open during the agreed hours. I’ve tried to contact the owners several times and I get a call back from a staff member. I DO NOT recommend this storage to anyone. I don’t ever leave reviews, but I can’t consciously not warn people about their unethical behavior.

Comment: Clean, secure, and easily accessible. I surrounded my storage with sticky traps and sprayed monthly, as a precaution. Never was there any evidence of bugs or rodents.

Comment: My experience with North Main Storage in Manteca is always pleasant - good customer service, great rates, excellent facility overall. easy location and no-hassle with the contract. as with any rental agreement any where, Id suggest opting for insurance in case of unforesable events such as water damage etc.

Comment: Dont use this storage.. . When moving out my parents and I rented three units. My storage unit was broken into second month I had it. I closed it promptly after but did not pay for the insurance. Three months after that my parents units were also broken into and they lost several valuable items. Now returning to the last unit to clear what we could and make sure there are no more important items in it we found mouse droppings all over the unit. Sadly a few of the employees are nice but it isnt worth the recurring head aches.

Comment: Diana is the most rude customer service person I have ever experienced... Promised a discount over the phone then backed out when in person... Promised their box truck with proof of liability then was extremely rude and said she needed to speak to be insurance agent personally... Nana needs to get with the ages and realize its done online now... Extremely rude, terrible service, very unprofessional... Willing to literally pay more at another storage place to not have to deal with her
