My boyfriend and I are really enjoying this place. Staff is very friendly, maintenance is quick, the view from our balcony is beautiful, the neighbors are friendly/respectful and our apartment is perfect for us. In the summer we also used the pool a couple times and we had a great experience with that as well. You definitely get what you pay for. All around a great place to live!
Recently I locked my purse in my car. The office staff at northport assisted me where later I was gaining access to my car and purse. The office staff allowed me to make calls which eventually got me into my car. They even offered to walk with me to my car.Very impressed with their treatment of me!
Friendly staff, property well maintained, when you submit a maintenance request it is fulfilled in a timely manner. Overall service here has been very good and satisfying. My husband’s 🚘 got stucked in the snow today so he called the office for help. The office staff are very courteous, responsive and efficient , within hardly 5-10mins two maintenance guys (Andy) and another one forgot the name 🙄 were here to help him.The maintenance staff has always been very helpful. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Brrrrrrr! First Big Michigan Snow!I went outside to play and shovel. Met 2 really great gals who were doing much the same, happily shoveling walkways and sidewalks; how neighborly I thought. While they were helping me shovel Dads handicap parking space, I found out that these two gals were Crystal and Courtney, who work for Northport! I never realized these two ladies shovel the walks all the time ... and were having such a great time doing it! Smiling and chatting with everyone .... its really a great thing to see! Kudos Crystal and Courtney! Great show of community and leadership! It really is a nice little community to reside in. My Dad loves it!
I have lived here for a year now,Let me tell you they have bug, bugs, bugs. You can’t even enjoy the apartment because every time you look around there a silver fish sitting on the wall. I previous moved from one unit that had them so bad,Now the one I’m in is worse. I complained to the office for a year and they still haven’t fixed the problem. Also, whenever you move out best believe your getting a 700 bill for carpet replacement, even though the carpet isn’t damaged.Northport apartment please just put in your policy, that your residents won’t get their deposits back. The office manager don’t care about anything says she going to call you back and never does then when you address her about a issues she plays dumb. EVERYONE JUST GET A HOUSE. These apartments only take advantage of Residences, they just want the money.
UPDATE 2/4/22:I was somewhat satisfied throughout my years of living here. Had some issues here and there, for the most part it was alright. —when your lease ends, make sure you have them write you out a list of EVERYTHING they need from you. I mean every detail!!! Northport will add on however much $$$$$$ and demand it be paid- no discussion… This company doesn’t care about anything but $$$. Go figure. Save some $$$ and move in somewhere else!! After my years of experience with Northport- I rate this apartment complex a 4/10…If the office answers the phone, it sounds like it’s their first day on the job. Krystal/other managers apparently stop responding once you move out???Krystal in the office is super awesome! If you ever have any questions or issues I HIGHLY recommend speaking with her! 😀😀
This is my very first apartment and I have filled out other applications that weren’t as quick and easy as Northport’s process. I was very pleased with the application process, quick process of getting approved and easy lay out on what’s needed/ expected. Melissa was truly and still is a a great help throughout this stressful time. She is very patient and helpful via email and phone call. I am excited to move in this summer!UPDATE: I’ve lived here since July of 2020. I knocked off two stars because we had about 4-5 flooding problems all of which was addressed quickly but we specifically had a leak in the bedroom, in the wall and in the bathroom that lead into the hallway. They had to tear down the wall in the bedroom and once it was all fixed the paint job was a hot mess. There’s permanent stains, damage and potential mold in two spots in the carpet in the hallway. Adding on to this, I guess the unit above ours flooded (I don’t know when) and it left our bedroom closet wall damaged which again looks like mold. I made maintenance aware and he sprayed painted the damage and the potential mold with white spray painted which looks a hot mess. When I made the maintenance request for them to address the closet damage, I also included that the lining around the bathtub was disappearing, the maintenance guy told us he would let his manager know and it hasn’t been addressed since and it’s been about 2 months. In addition, we have received two FALSE lease violations from assumptions from whoever.Other than those concerns, the office staff is nice, attentive and the apartment view and location is wonderful.
HOSPITABLE STAFF, CLEAN APTS & GROUNDS, SAFE & QUIET!!!***** 10 STARS *****I had to make an emergency move, so two of my good friends recommended Northport Apts. Macomb. I called and was greeted by Melissa. What an AMAZING & COMPASSIONATE, Woman!!!I was frantic and Melissa was so patient, understanding & an amazing listener. She made sure that she would help me in anyway, possible. I cant thank Melissa enough. Melissa took amazing care of me & had my apartment ready ASAP. Melissa made the entire process seamless & easy & for that, I am beyond grateful!!!Madison, Lexi & the entire staff are amongst the friendliest & pose the utmost professionalism when handling residents. The ladies are accommodating and give you the reassurance to reach out, if I need anything. I called requesting a carport (right after they closed). The ladies said theyd wait for me, to come in & sign papers, so I could have it that night, Talk about stellar customer service!!!.My heat wasnt working, the morning after Christmas (Saturday, 6:00 a.m.). So, I called Maintenance - emergency line, assuming I wouldnt hear back for at least not for a few hours. I called and left a voicemail & as, I was leaving a voicemail, Andy (Maintenance was calling on my other line. Andy announced himself and asked what my emergency was, I explained that my heat wasnt kicking on. Could not believe it, Andy was here within minutes. Came back and fixed a part on my furnace, all within 1 hour. a call within moments and fixed my issue within minutes! The layout here is gorgeous and the pool is super clean. The people here are so friendly. I never thought I would even be writing a review about an Apartment Complex, however, I had too. This is definitely a Beautiful place to live. You feel like youre living at a resort its so Beautiful!!!Hope this helps, for someone thats on the fence with where they should live, Look no further than Northport Apartments, Macomb.Thank you
I’ve lived at northport for a little over a year and a half now and I can honestly say I’ve really enjoyed living here, we have great neighbors and our maintenance guy Andy is the most responsive building maintenance I’ve ever seen, a full day doesn’t pass without a response to anything we need fixed.
This place is amazing! Apartments are pretty decent for the area! I just moved in and had some work orders that needed to be done per my green sheet. They were taken care of correct and in a timely manner. My only issue is the internet situation and front office attitude after my move in (Lexus). Someone previously had there account still linked to the unit and it has taken days to get this resolved. The place is pretty quiet and have great curb appeal!I called the front office and Lexus answered. She wasn’t helpful at all and I notice after our last conversation she is not a great communicator. I don’t like her attitude! I understand the fact that she may not have not been aware of the situation, but she didn’t even bother to assist in anyway. It was almost as if I was bothering her! The reviews below are correct! From now on, my goal is to email and communicate with Madison. Madison you ROCK!! She has such an amazing attitude and she is very kind! She will go out of her way to help you during your move in!I will update more after I have settled in!Hello everyone I am here to update you. I have been here for about 7 months. This place is amazing . I have update my review to 5 stars. The place is quiet and very clean. I basically never have to call maintenance. They really do keep this place up. I would defiantly live here if you are looking for an apartment. The only draw back is that you can hear your neighbors door when they are leaving in and out. Other than that, it’s amazing. I am considering doing another 12 months here. The communication in the beginning was not great, but this is truly an amazing place. Probably one of the best apartments I have ever stayed in.
Me and my mom moved here from our longtime home in November. We werent sure how it was going to be considering we had never lived in an apartment before and most of the apartments we were researching had bad reviews. However, we were pleasantly surprised. Our apartment was very clean when we moved in. Maintenance requests are easy to complete and they get fulfilled immediately if its an emergency and fairly quickly otherwise. Everyone at the front desk is really friendly and answers all of our questions. The apartment also has public amenities like the pool and fitness center and we have a beautiful view of the pond from our apartment balcony. We really love our apartment, and it feels like home to us!
In the summer time, flies would always get in and first thing management would do is blame us. Even when just moving in. Mold seemed to be an issue in our apartment but they would not acknowledge the problem, even after we hired an outside agency to check it. My dog was having issues because of it and since moving into my house she is like a new dog. Whomever they paid to do the carpets, they need their money back from them. For the price there are far better places around the area with more space and less headaches.
Absolutely love living at Northport! My apartment is really nice with cathedral ceilings , great natural lighting, big room and walk in closet! We also love how beautiful and quiet the community is! We have an amazing view of the pond and we always enjoy how friendly the staff and maintenance team are. So glad we are in a community of friendly and caring people.
First off, THEY CLOSED BEFORE 6PM. Locked and didn’t let anyone in before their closing time. Next, they changed the key to their gym and never told anyone. So, when I try and use my current key after it’s been closed for about a year, I can’t. Was able to talk to the employees as they were leaving and normally they would let you in the back door for the gym. Not this time. Told me off because I didn’t update my key that was never mentioned to me. Worthless. Great brand representation.
Love living her . Office staff is extremely helpful especially Brittany and Melanie. Neighbors are quiet, stairways lit for safety. They keep things neat and clean and any issue I had was resolved almost immediately with a follow up call the next day. Will miss living here.
I really enjoy living at Northport. My apartment is a great size for the cost of rent, and maintenance always responds to my requests very quickly. Neighbors are quiet and keep to themselves. Management does a great job keeping up the property making improvements when needed, and preventive maintenance is always done on a consistent schedule. While the pond provides a nice backdrop for my balcony, the geese/ducks get veryyyyy noisy. Dont sleep with your windows open unless you want an early morning wake-up call. =) Overall, I would recommend this community to any of my contacts.
We lived in Northport for 18 months. We could not have been happier - Northport is a great place to live! The only reason we are moving is to be closer to work, and we are very sad to leave. In our time there we have had NO noise complaints and everything was very quiet (except for Hall Rd. but we knew that would be noisy!). It seems like every time we drive in & out there are people working on the grounds (cutting the grass, painting, etc.). The staff is great and attentive. They fix things pretty quickly and do a follow up call to make sure everything is working right. You cant beat the sunsets over the water. The pool & fitness center are awesome, better than any other place we looked. The price to rent is also great - water and gas are included so you only pay electric. All in all, I would highly recommend Northport if its a place youre considering to live. We are so thankful for how the staff has taken care of us in the last 18 months and we hope everyone else loves it just as much as we do!
Lived here for a year. Best you are gonna get for the price. Its a fairly nice community. It is usually quiet. Sometimes you can get a hold of staff and maintenance quickly, other times you cant. The appointments for maintenance arent actual appointments, its just certain days open to close time range, no real appointment, not even narrowed down to a few hours. Have an on going issue with a very wobbly toilet, and just gave up since, no one wants to fix it to last or fix it the right way. Dog feces all over the grassy areas. Cigarette butts all over our area, and have seen several people walking their dogs off the leash. Washer and dryers are basic and not that great. Dishwasher makes a ton of noise, while running. Windows do not lock properly or close properly, they didnt really seem to care. Decent size rooms and bathrooms. Freshly painted and carpet when moved in. Nice pond to walk around. Nice pool and workout area. Staff and maintenance people are always pleasant, and calm.
We have been staying at Northport Apartments for half a year now and we adore these apartments. The complex is quiet, neighbors are friendly, and the buildings themselves are in great standing. We have always been responded to quickly from the office staff and maintanence. No complaints here, whatsoever. This complex will be a forever home for many!
I am a resident of Northport Apartments and I LOVE IT. The place is so nice and (I hope I dont jinx it ) quiet. I have been here for 7 years and only heard one fight. The office has great people working there and the maintenance people are so helpful. But beware they do raise the rent every year.
I’d like to start by saying that I am retired active duty and have 28yrs of federal service. With that being said I have lived and rented at numerous locations throughout the country and abroad. Northport Apartments is by far the best place I have ever rented from. The management, front office, maintenance department, and groundskeeper all act and serve with true professionalism and the tenant is always respected. I have lived at Northport for over 5yrs and have no complaints.
Northport Apartment Staff-This review is more a suggestion...You should consider changing the way you respond to negative reviews. Many of your responses come off rude, petty and overall unprofessional. Im not trying to be disrespectful, just sharing an observation. Im a homeowner but I have family members that are moving into your community which is why I was reading through the reviews. I frankly wouldnt be interested in renting your property based on some of the communication I read through from your staff. You have a lot of great reviews which is good but peoples true colors show when things get tough and to me, youre showing your true colors. Not a good look.
I love my apartment. I rarely can hear any noise through the walls, big windows with lots of natural light, no problems with any of the appliances/standard stuff. In my own experience, the staff is incredible- the front desk workers are welcoming and friendly, the maintenance workers are professional and show up quickly and have been able to fix the small problems that have come up. They were nice even when I called over stupid stuff that anyone could fix. There is a good sense of community with the events (Christmas decoration competitions, trunk or treats, etc) and the amount of people we meet at the pool. It’s a good area to go for a walk around the ponds as well.As an added bonus, I love the people who deliver packages here, even if they aren’t affiliated with Northport.Overall, I love it here.
The community as a whole is very nice. However, the building structures are horrible! You can hear virtually everything from your neighbors! God forbid you have kids or big fur babies above you. The heat and water are included in the rent and the pond view is serene. Most staff in the office have been nice. However, no one takes noise complaints seriously here. You are better off talking to your neighbors yourself or calling the police. If you have ptsd, migraines, nerve conditions, or are elderly I strongly encourage you to seek a more structurally sound complex. Living near a race track would be quieter than living in these apartments.
The team at Northport is great. Routine maintenance issues are done well, always with plenty of notice. Emergency work is done promptly. They are very respectful of your apartment, you wouldnt even know they were there except your problem has been fixed. Thanks for all your hard work.
I’ve been living here for 5 years,I’ve never had ANY issues or problems with neighbors or anyone for that matter. Everyone here is kind the staff and the neighbors. Any issues I have inside the apartment they are always quick to fix. Water and heat included in rent. Washer and dryer in apartment what more can you ask for in an apartment? Definitely would recommend them to anyone!
Ive been living at Northport for several years now, its really nice, quiet and I love the pond...the pool is nice too. I dont visit the gym area much here since I go to an actual gym. The rent has gone up regularly though, but I dont know how much it has gone up in other apartment complexes in the neighborhood.Maintenance is also prompt. Ive had a couple of minor issues but Krystal (the manager) has been excellent at handling them, including once when I was out of the country and needed arrangements to renew my contract. Krystal has been very friendly and professional and always timely in her responses!
I can say my experience at Northport Apartments has been a positive one. The office staff is very knowledgeable and helpful. A maintenance man came and fixed my dryer within a timely manner and the office staff even called me back to follow up to make sure it was still working. Including all the apartments I have lived in Northport is by far the best.
DO NOT RENT HERE.The office staff is incompetent. They will tell you one thing and when you go to address that situation they will say that you were given miss information. They say they are animal friendly but will make having a pet very difficult. There will be a LOT of hidden fees when it comes time to move out. They seem to also be aware of their poor online ratings as everytime you go into the office they give you handouts asking for positive reviews as well as asking for them via their facebook page. Be prepared to have your water shut off at least twice a month for a whole day because of matience repairs but when you request your own repairs it takes forever to get fixed. Would not rent from them ever again.
Worst apartment living I have ever experienced. Office staff was rude and never available when you could reach them, maintenance enters your apartment without your knowledge after you specifically state you want to be called and be present for repairs and they are not aloud to enter without someone being home. Parking is almost no existent. Dont even get me started on the spiders. We couldnt take it anymore with the high rent costs and terrible experiences we broke our lease early and moved on.
I just moved into Northport apartment. When I moved into the apartment it was know ready near ready to move in! Dishwasher broke, kitchen sick broke, closet rack fell, floor peeling throughout the kitchen. If I had a baby it would be know where near safe. Patio not finished in the back, did not take time to repaint, there’s still tape and walls are cracked, wood work is chipped and had residue. Maintenance is very slow. If you are looking for an apartments/ something similar go to the harbors they are sister companies. They appreciate and take care of their tenants.
The location and buildings are beautiful. The inside of the apartments look great. Front desk staff are very professional. However, the manager Krystal really needs to train her staff a lot better. The staff did not know that a guarantor and a co-signer are essentially the same thing. That it is not too much of an issue for me because the staff can easily be trained if not for the laziness of the office manager who had one of her staff call me directly after I had left her a message and want to speak with her directly. Krystal (or whoever the manager is) If I leave a voicemail and want to speak with you....I want to speak with you not someone else. You are a MANAGER! Do not be lazy and have one of your peons you did not train correctly contact me!The main issue I have with Northport is its weird....and i mean very weird approval process. I have dealt with Edward Rose and Sons (property company owners of Northport) once before at a different apartment complex they own and have never had to deal with a screening company from out of state to process the application. Shockingly, and very oddly Northport does not check income! For a $900 apartment this is unexpected. They do however check credit. The application is solely based on credit. The issue I have with this is simple. What if you had just recently just got a job as a Physical Therapy Assistant ( a very high paying job) and had some student loan debt. A person could make $30 an hour and have student loan debt and still not be able to live here. My significant other got a very high paying job in the medical field and still couldnt get approved and she has no criminal history. From what the staff told me you could make minimum wage $9 an hour and get approved here if you have good credit! Which is very contradictory because $9 an hour people generally cannot afford a $900 apartment on their own. A lot of other companies use a lot more common sense. Avoid these people if you have student loan debt and had just graduated from college or medical school....even if you are making $30 to $40 an hour.I find this approval process immoral and unethical. They want to accept the $9 an hour individuals to charge them late fees and make more money from these fees.UPDATE 12/7/2017:So as you can plainly see below the owner or manager responded to this review. In the response below the owner states that they do check income. Why did the lady that showed me the apartment say they do not check income at all! Then when I called again a day later and spoke with a different lady in Northports front desk staff she also said they do not check income??! If infact northport did check income then we wouldve gotten approved. My significant other and I both make very very good money. As you can plainly see by reading this review and the response there seems to be a hick up in training with what the owner wants to what the manager is giving to the staff.UPDATE 12/11/2017:Oddly enough after the previous update the owner deleted his or her comments about this review. Not sure why as I was just irritated with the lack of training the front staff had at the time.
If I could give 0 stars I would. And it looks like Im not alone. I have lived here for about 6 months and it has been nothing but problems since day 1. They are all about temporary fixes, if they ever fix problems at all. Everything I call to have them fix something thats been broken since weve moved in, they dont even answer. Maintenance and office staff give you the run around and bullshit answers to delay then inevitable. I have lived in many part mentioned for much cheaper, and this is by far the most awful living situation Ive ever had. They are really great before you sign the lease. But since then ever appliance had broken, there are holes everywhere, I have to kill at least 1 large spider EVERY DAY. this place is disgusting. I am so heartbroken that I fell for their lies.
I’m familiar with Edward Rose properties because I’ve lived at one before & I have to say Northport Apartments exceeds my expectations. The apartment is spacious & maintenance always responds quickly to any of my issues. All the staff are very friendly. I would recommend this place to anyone.
Awful. Lived at northport for 5 years. Bugs constantly get in the place. Every year at least twice they screw up the plumbing and the sewage comes up from the drains in the kitchen and it smells like garbage. Walls are paper thin and you can hear the upstairs neighbors stomping around. They do not come in a timely manner to fix anything unless you get angry and complain. Prices rose from 675 to 710 in two years and when I asked why the reply I got was because thats where the market is at. Edward rose and sons is a joke, they have no problem taking your money every month but when you have a problem they dont help you at all. Especially when they are at fault. They start construction in apartments next to you and above you and dont give any warnings. You then have to listen to the sounds of hammering for weeks on end. This will be my last year here. I wouldnt recommend this place to anyone. Over priced, loud, and they offer no help.
In the year we lived there we had nothing but issues. In the interest of trying to save time, let me list them :-The neighbors below us would constantly shake our apartment and make ungodly noise. Management did nothing. They would send out maintenence (out of the many times we called, they arrived once) so they could verify the noise. We were told to just call the cops. Nothing happened.-Their stellar maintenance team missed replacing our filters for six months, despite multiple fliers saying they would come out on x date.-Oh and when they DID replace the filters, we were given no notice. When reporting this to the office manager Krystal, she was unconcerned that we were accusing her complex of doing something illegal and said it would have been done anyways. Oh, and she KNEW her maintenance team sent out fliers (they didnt) because she printed out x copies and her team came back with no extras.-To further add to the wonderful work of maintenence, we had set up three appointments to fix our screen. On the first, I verified with the office that they had our appointment and we would be seen that day. I was guaranteed theyd be there by 5. They never arrived. Subsequent appointments played out the same way. By the time someone could actually do something it was too cold to have the screen open anyways.-Snow service was HORRENDOUS. I understand that it may take a while to get plows, but the office decided to just plow our cars in against 3 feet of snow and leave them like that for two days before any decent job was done. My boyfriend and neighbors ended up having to dig out our cars so we didnt have to miss multiple days of work.-Apparently theres a lot of theft going on around North Port, which they were nice enough to alert us to FOUR MONTHS after it began.Im sure theres more, but the headache and lack of professionalism was the absolute worst. Thanks to Northport, I decided to buy a condo rather than deal with anybody in charge of that place. I definitely would NOT recommend and will tell anyone who will listen why.The actual apartments were nice though.
Wow. WOW. WOW!!! What a great place to live! The staff is friendly and helpful. The apartments are spacious and well updated. My husband and I couldnt be happier. We have awesome neighbors and new friends. The only reason for less than 5 stars is the lack of good public transit...but then that is most of Macomb County. Thank God for Lyft and Partridge Creek Mall!
Moved in about a month ago. Only complaint is in the evening, sunlight comes in through the arched window above the doorwall and the temp is going up to 85*. It is only March and Im worried about how warm it will get in the summer months. Is there any way to have blinds installed in that window to help control the temp and keep energy cost down?
As a military wife with small children, moving is not only a common occurence, it can be a stressful one. My husband was stationed in Washington State and I was given less than a month to find new housing for our family of 4. This included a toddler and a preschooler. From my initial contact over the phone, to my whirlwind 2 day visit to Michigan, I found our new home. The staff not only promoted the amenities of the complex, they directed me to local shopping, schools and nearby churches. A blessed new home and a blessing of new friends.
I just moved into Northport Apartments and so far I’ve had a pleasant experience. Met some neighbors and they are friendly and easy to get along with. I’ve had plenty of help from the management and that is much appreciated when looking for an apartment to rent. Thanks for all your help!
Not exactly sure why I cant ever get ahold of maintenance. Its extremely frustrating to live in an apartment where everything keeps breaking. I lived in here for three months and already had countless issues that are not getting fixed. This place is a bate and chase apartment. Everything seems great until you actually move in and everything doesnt work and you have one aggravation after the next. Word of advice save your money and be homeless, living here is a joke.
This has to be the nastiest batch of Apartments I have ever seen. Ran down. Bugs everywhere. With bearly any communication to the renters, if it wasnt for the awesome lady that was extremely helpful at the desk, I believe her name was Lilly - then I wouldnt have stayed here as long as I did, she was always absolutely fantastic and always made sure to make us feel right at home, even with all the issue we had.
One the worst experiences ever. Once i informed them that i was moving out, they started coming up with different charges, including some fees that were previously waved 5 years ago. September 2016 i signed a 6 month lease only to find out it didnt go through 3 months later. I was being back charged a month to month fee for each month i was living there till i left. They retain my security deposit , around $500, because they had to paint twice and there were some scratches on the counter top ( i didnt know i was not supposed to use them) Two months after i left the place they keep calling me to ask for money, threatening me they will sent me to collection. I lived there for 7 years, they just remembered i own them $120,after 5 years...... it doesnt add up.
I just came home from the hospital, unable to walk and go down my stairs. It was greatly appreciated that Melanie was nice enough to come over to help me with my payments since I was having issues and couldnt leave my apartment. I would recommend to anyone to live at Northport Apartments!
Scam. Fraudulent. My military active duty deployed son and his wife applied. They were real fast to take their $100 app fee. Even quicker to deny on basis of Did not meet their minimum credit requirement So the four trips to view place, ask what requirements were was a total waste of time. Apparently because 21 yr old have not had credit long enough they denied. Steal their money though. Shady and unproffessional. Train your inept office representatives how to fully answer the question when asked What are your requirements. Very dissapointed. Had we been told what minimum requirements would not have handed over $100 app fee. You basically scammed them out of the money.5/23. Response to contact office to discuss is a joke. They tried to reach someone for two weeks. You take the kids money but cant return a call. They did not do any checks beyond running a thirty second online credit check. Found nothing that we did not disclose to them through the credit karma free check the kids already ran and had with them. The letter finally emailed stated they did not have a long enough credit history. Your facility is a total scam. You make your money weaseling kids out of their hard earned money knowing full well you have no intention of renting to them. When they come in to apply and ask all the right questions and you fail to inform them of your strict policy and requirements that is on you. You should be ashamed treating anyone that way, especially someone willing to risk there life in the military for your freedom.Poorest quality of customer service ever. The apartments they eventually found not only approved without problem but had much better facilities, honor our military, and better location. Your business is disgusting and uses the overpriced $100 application process as a way to scam people out of their money.
Just wanted H.R to know after a week of having a water leak the staff at Northport fixed the problem. Krystal, Mike, and the girls in the front office were great. It is because of these people that my wife and I will renew our lease. Krystal and Mike are special people. Thank you all.
When I moved in it was just going to be temporary while my son finished school,(1year)Been living here over six years now, its a great place to call home, close to everything, and yet only couple miles from country side, The office staff has always been very polite, and will go above and beyond to make you feel at home.and also take very well care of any special needs you may need.being disabled myself, I am in no hurry to move, or do I plan on it anytime soon. Hats off and thumbs up to Norhport.
Pretty nice apartments, until the bugs move in. In the older apartments, it was spiders, in the new, pill bugs everywhere! Fortunately, since we moved into the newer ones, the only real maintenence we needed was an easy fridge fix that was attended to quickly. However, that is the only speedy help we have recieved. Getting a leaky pipe in the old one fixed was a NIGHTMARE. it took months and the mold that grew while we waited was awful! We also requested to have our shower drain snaked, never heard back from maintenance. But since that was simple enough my fiance did it himself, but really, for 800 bucks a month, he shouldnt have had to! We wanted to add a carport for the winter, which we did, but it ended up being too far of a walk to bother. I understand the first come, first served thing, so thats fine, but when we called to request it be removed (since its 20 bucks more!) we were not contacted for WEEKS after the request. And Im sure the only reason I did hear was because I happened to call (fir the 3rdtime) at the right time. I was then told that, EVEN THOUGH WE WERE ASSURED THAT WE COULD REMOVE IT IF WE WANTED TO, that we could not remove it until our lease is up, in 5 MONTHS, guess we can kiss that 120 bucks goodbye. If I had known that, I never would have added the damn thing. So if you want a place that it well managed and consistent, Id look elsewhere.
Yes, the yard that holds all of the construction equipment is directly across from Northport, so we hear the back up alarm on the equipment and trucks pulling in and out of the area all night. Oh well, such is life! Thats why we have fans, right? At least that covered up the traffic noise a little prior to the construction yard and construction. Thank you so much for your reply! I will absolutely reach out if I need another appliance repaired again, etc. This is just a review otherwise I would have called the office directly. Have a great weekend!
Horrible experience, I should have been smarter than to allow myself to become victimized from. Lease ended at midnight, office was closed. Moved out ON TIM, turned in key following morning right at office opening. RESULT: charged another months rent. Please spare all your ridiculous response & excuses. The is no response & are no excuses. Unquestionably...UNCONSCIONABLE. From day 1, I felt this place was looking for ways to generate money they were not entitled to. Staff is sarcastic & quick to make up mind bending excuses, regardless of their absolute ridiculousness.
I wanted to like this place, I really did. But Im less than 3 months staying here & Im already looking at other places to go to when my lease is up. Im beyond tired of the disrespect from Jacob, Sarah, and Melanie. The issues Ive been having: birds nest over my carport (I never asked them to kill a bird, I just asked them to remove the nest. But once I found out there were eggs in there, Im dealing with it *jacob got loud and a attitude with me for asking why they couldnt move it. As if I was supposed to know eggs were in there... why dont you let me know that in the beginning? Of course I wouldnt want you to harm any animal. All he said was we are not going to kill the bird over and over..), weird person watching me, etc. that Ive brought to their attention, has been pretty much ignored by them, in my opinion. Ive been in customer service a very long time & it takes one smooth im sorry about that to smooth an angry person. If the customer service sucks, to me the whole place sucks. I wont shop in a store and give my hard earned money, to a place that doesnt treat me right.Ive gotten attitude more than once with Jacob, my co worker has too.. thats why she decided to go somewhere else to live. I should have done the same thing. He talks to you as if youre nothing, and he could careless. He rushes you while you talk and brushes over your issues as if its nothing.Ive contacted the regional manager a couple of times (by the way, he doesnt care either. Not empathetic at all.. just says mmm k, Ill talk to them no, Im sorry this is happening to you, nothing) because talking to Krystal about her staff in the front clearly isnt working. She probably feels because he and the rest of them dont get complaints, that what I have to say to her could never happened.. because she never heard it before. Nope, if someone under me received a complaint, Im talking to them about it, no matter if theyve gotten 100 compliments. Someone still complained countless times for a reason. If youve read this far. Id tell you to look elsewhere. Im new to the state, so I didnt know any better. So if youre here, look elsewhere ASAP.Customer service is beyond horrible, and it doesnt seem to get better.Wish I could give less than one star. Its sad, yal dont even have 3 stars. Should have noticed that when I moved here.... if you want to feel like you matter and youre not just a tenant, go elsewhere. They are really nice up front, but once you sign they could give two rats behinds about you & your issues with the Apartments. Beware.
I wish I could give only 1/2 a star and even that would be for the location of the community.Firstly, be aware that you are not going to get back any security deposit money back or lets say 20% max if youre lucky. The onsite management will ask you to contact the head office as you can see in the response to one of the reviews below. The head office will throw all blame on you.Heres the game they play - when you do the move-in inspection and notify them of very minor spots on wall or counter tops that any professional can clean easily, the onsite management will say its normal as there will be some wear and tear with use. When you move out, you will be hold accountable and they will take away your security deposit money. I even have pics available to prove my point and the pics are in an email from them.Simple suggestion : Find any other place.
You will always sleep with one eye open here or wake up wondering if the wheels are still on your car. Need to invest in some security cameras. Not to mention the hot water never works and when you call the office they give you the run around. Not to worry they will have endless excuses about why its broke not what they are doing the fix it. When you express anger about the way your being treated not to worry they will be sure to hang up on you.
The natural aroma of the beets drift into the bedrooms and makes you dream of simpler times. The dawn goose walk will tug at your heart strings. Table making never seemed so possible. You will NEVER want to leave your room. The architecture reminds one of a quaint Tuscan beet farm.
06/30/16, 5:30PNorthport is a relatively acceptable place to reside.I have reduced my rating from July 2015, 4-5 stars to 2 stars. This is due to my experiences with Edward Rose & Sons (ERS) direcly. Here are two things that made my living displeasing:1) If you do not receive physical mail or documented notifications from Northport/ERS, it is NOT the responsibility of Northport/ERS. The mail system they use (USPS) is the least desirable; with both delivery and communication. So make sure you dont forget a payment because a their internal requirement to provide you with a documented notification may not make it to you and you will receive court-based forms hand-delivered by an ERS employee. Ironic huh?2) As of current, ERS has changed their online management system. If youre a relatively modernized person and prefer to pay your bills online, expect an additional fee for paying through their new service. In simple terms, you have to pay a fee to pay your rent. Im sure there is some documentation that makes this entirely acceptable on ERS end. Kind of like that classic/shady move where the used car salesman tells you to sign a thousand page document and you happen to sign something that is bound to hurt you in the long run.The employees seem to do the best they can to help. I will give them that. After multiple encounters, it would seem that ERS has the better of the employees in the lower positions. The one higher-level employee I dealt with would receive does not deserve a rating and may require some counseling/retraining. If any ERS owners/executive/board level members would like to reach me, I would be more than willing to discuss this individuals performance.
Very unhappy living here, if I could get out of my lease I would. Not affordable, staff never answers the phone, maintence takes forever, and their is never any parking available and we have to carry our baby from the other parking lot as well and diaper bag and whatever else we need.
No one ever answers the phone at the front desk or the maintenance people and I am constantly having things break on me. They leave you a note saying they are showing up on a certain day to do maintenance but then show up days later. Can not stand the lack of communication from the office. why is it so hard to get ahold of anyone?!?!?!

2022-04-13I have been living at Northport for about 20 months. It is a great place to live. Everything is nearby. Of course, you’ll hear your neighbors sometimes but it’s like that at every apartment place. It doesn’t bother me. The office girls are always nice. The neighbors are nice as well. I have one complaint, the BUGS, but you can call the office and maintenance will spray around the doors and windows. Sometimes one or two bugs will get through. The maintenance could be better. The best amenities are the washer and dryer in the apartment and you only pay the electric bill. Also, the view is nice from your patio and the Smart Rent door locks and thermostat are awesome.

2022-05-13North port is a great place to live. Any maintenance I’ve needed was taken care in a very timely manner. The facilities they offer quite honestly surprised me when I was thinking about moving here. A fitness center, pool, clubhouse and 2 ponds which if you like fishing is allowed here. My neighbors are quiet and friendly. The Ladies in the rental office are always friendly and helpful with any needs you may have.

2022-02-14Love living here. The staff and maintenance team are awesome. Everyone is so friendly and always helpful. They also have so many fun activities in the summer time and have fun contests/drawings all year round. Great sense of community here. When I moved in last May Madison was so helpful in getting everything done for my move in. Highly recommend this complex, you will not be disappointed.

2022-02-14Northport has been great to live at. I moved in two years ago and Melissa helped me through the whole process! Moving during covid was tough but Melissa did her best to make it the best experience. I’ve had no issues living here. It’s a safe and quiet community! Maintenance is always super quick to fix any issues that occur as well.

2022-02-25I’ve lived at Northport for 6 years and it’s been a positive experience for the most part. Love the new smart locks they recently installed! I’d say Mine and my pup Buffy’s favorite part of the community though would be the great grounds keeping guys - Cooper and Sammy plus the reliable maintenance guys Like Andy, Sean, Randy and Greg!

2022-02-04North port apartments was a good experience overall. However their were downfalls to this as you cannot view apartments before signing a lease agreement and no elevators. I had an apartment on the third floor (had no idea I would be on 3rd floor) and it was something else to drag everything up there including groceries. I eventually bought a step cart from Amazon which allows you to successfully bring in multiple bags at a time.

2022-05-13I’ve had an ok experience here but something’s would concern anyone paying good money to live here. The vinyl is literally peel and stick. As a sticker would, it peeled especially with people walking back and forth on it. I was initially told by maintenance that it would be fixed free of charge and they would put an order in for it. Months went on and I put another request in for it just for the apartment to charge me almost 300 dollars for a patch! Then I had my boyfriend call and they lied and said they couldn’t cancel the order even though the appointment was set up for weeks ahead of time. So I called and magically they were able to cancel it. I had to go through LOOPS to fix this even though I was told it would be fixed free of charge. Then I complained about the amount of bugs and how our unit never holds in heat or air. We were told that it was because the apartment has old windows and told US to purchase plastic to put on the window (which is feel is extremely tacky). Keep in mind since the unit is not able to hold in heat nor air, that means I have to keep my heat/air on full blast especially during the summer. This equates to higher expenses on ME which is not alright! Apartment living has definitely solidified me never wanting to rent again!

2022-02-15Lexus at Northport Apartments is phenomenal! I started working with her upon my tour and all throughout the move-in process. She has answered all of my questions and helped when I needed extra assistance with maintenance requests. I’ve lived at Northport for 15 months and don’t have 1 negative thing to say about her!

2021-11-09UPDATE: They charged me for replacement of my carpet & took my deposit. However, the carpet had no stains or tears.. and was professionally cleaned regularly. I lived there for 2 years so there was normal wear. I do have a dog, however the last time i had the carpet professionally cleaned.. they said there were no areas that needed extra treatment & the carpet looked good. There would have been no reason to replace the carpeting. I heard from multiple people that they do this so they can keep your deposit and money. For this reason I am changing my review. I am very disappointed that the management acts this way._________Living at Northport is great! I love that i get my own washer and dryer- it’s so convenient! They are pet friendly! The view of the water is beautiful to look at. For the most part it is a good and quiet community! Plus there are many stores, markets and places to eat nearby!

2022-02-18Had a bit of a rough start when we moved in as the previous tenants took longer than expected to get out the cleaning and maintenance crews did not get a chance to fully address the apartment. Through time, a lot of phone calls to the office and Andy’s hard work things spruced back up ! Enjoy the wildlife that comes to the pond and watching the sunset on the water is always a plus 👍🏻
