Its a store. Not bad. Just keep in mind they are short staffed like everyone else. Be kind.
They always have the widest selection of everything , a nice deli, friendly people. I always come home with more than I went out for. They mark down their day old stuff big time, great deals. Store brands are good and frequently on sale. Some stores have more stuff but Oleson’s has the right stuff.
Been here many times. The regular employees are great people. The boss is a bit nutty. Prices are pretty high because its right in town. The back of the store is very clean. They have good produce and meats. Huge selection of wine and beer. Parking can be a issue in the summer. If you can afford it, this is a great food oriented grocery store.

Good selection decent prices
I went there in the morning to get some of their Bakery good and I had cream cheese or it was supposed to be, I took one bite and fed the rest to animals! Seagulls eat everything
It is good produce, fruit, shelves always stocked, homemade,breads, muffins, cookies. Clean store...only the the store is ALWAYS COLD.....you have to wear a jacket...spring, summer and fall! No matter what part of,the store you are in. Can they turn the temp up bit? Thanks.
Great store great meats but prices are considerably higher than most stores. They used to have great donuts but they’ve changed bakers and the new donuts are terrible.
Great little local grocery store in Charlevoix. I visit every year and I like to stay somewhere where I can buy groceries and do my own cooking and this place is the perfect place to pick up supplies. A well-stocked and friendly local spot. The parking can be a bit dicey and tight, but other than that, its great!
The cashier, Carol, took the time to walk me to the isle where the large bag of Dots pretzels were since I was purchasing 2 medium bags. She said that was the least she could do to respect her customers. THANK YOU! She did not have to, but she chose to show a bit of kindness during this crazed pandemic time. That meant a lot to me and I have been sharing this story everywhere I can.

All the cashiers are very helpful and pleasant. Walking distance to where Im staying. For the most part, reasonable prices. Great job!
I like it a lot. Only thing not five star was the free coffee was warm.But complaining about something free is minor. I love their local coffee and cookies.
The cashiers dont smile at all at least everytime im in there. They are unfriendly. I probably go here ever couple of days, i probably wont be back. Usually after you help someone in this kind of business you say have a good day or something along those lines. Cashiers are the first and last people customers see so put a smile on your face and greet the people who come in.
Your employees are the most distrespectful people I have encountered at a grocery store in some time! Arriving at 7 pm to get a few things and the doors are being shut in my face and when I asked when the time changed for closing from 10 and now 7 she rudely yelled at me Just now.... I will never go back to your store in my life and I will make sure the word gets out about your employees also! There was a about 7 others besides myself at the door as well! Rude rude rude people that are working in this store!
The store features a very good meat and cheese selection as well as spirits, beer and wine. It is nice to have a full service grocery store downtown.

Olesons is a terrific place to shop and they provide a lot for the community. There are many items that we choose to only buy from Olesons because of the quality and price.
Best deli and awesome staff. On my way in I dropped my money and only realized it when I went to pay. A staff member had picked it up and gave it back to me and saved the day.
Up North store where you find local tart cherries Frozen 2 lb bags excellent for pies they also have Frozen sweet cherries local too great find
Nice folks, small, so selection is limited. I hope they will build a big store like the one in Petoskey on the North side of Charlevoix one of these days.
Despite the fact that a sign out front said that masks were required inside, I’d say about half of the other customers in there were not wearing any. Not a peep from the employees about it. Not safe feeling there.

2022-06-11They would not give me hot food that was not ordered but on the shelf ready to go does mean my bridge card covers it. Your terrible people. Do your research in Michigan you can get ready to go hot meals. Never will I be back and most times I spend cash. They can never hire anyone with any intelligence. The Olson boys are horrible people

2022-07-12Maria had terrible. We went to return an EXPIRED taco kit from april and the meat smelt rancid and she asked us to bring back the containers so we did. She then told us we need to bring EVERYTHING back even though the meat and tortilla shells were expired and smelled terrible so we threw them away then she yelled at us and shushed us. Horrible service and Im never going back there again.

2021-08-04We found everything we needed at the store. It was great and had a great selection. Unfortunately, while I was standing in line, a Karen was bothering my friend and I while we were in line. She forced me to move in line like two seconds after the people in front of me moved one millimeter toward the door. I was not paying attention and she yelled at me. My ears still hurt. She yelled at me again because I did not put my items on the conveyor belt quick enough. Later, we found Karen walking around Downtown Charlevoix with her toilet paper. It was very funny.We were here on August 3rd at around 3:30pm. Please check your tapes to find this Karen.
