Olgas Kitchen in other cities:
This Olgas is very clean and the manager Cristina is amazing. I ordered curbside and there was only one person working I could see and this manager brought my food out the second I pulled up I asked to use the restroom and when I came inside just hearing her interact with the other customers was stunning. I run a small family restaurant and I asked her if she was looking for employment. Im telling you this location is pretty lucky to have someone like this. Within the 10 minutes I was here total she had taken care of me RAN to hold the door for someone with a walker fixed an issue for another person bussed and cleaned a table for another one and all while just smiling through that mask. I mean I even brought up the older gentleman cook in the back didnt have his mask on all the way and she didnt even get annoyed she seemed legitimately concerned she went back fixed that! The one server I saw I could see was very happy even though she was ALONE WORKING AN ENTIRE LOBBY OF CUSTOMERS. Because this manager had her back. I was seriously impressed and will be back to try and steal her away from you guys!
We have always been a fan of Olgas, but dont go here. Obvious food on floor from nite before, manager not managing her younger staff. We ordered soup and fries and waited a solid 30 minutes. I didnt even want to eat my soup that never came. I did tip the poor waitress, its not her fault the middle-aged manager allowing teenage behavior from her employees. What a joke!
I’m a regular here at Olgas (student at OU) and when I went today around 7:45 they were super packed & I overheard my waitress Tena screaming and using excessive profanity at another waitress. I’ve never seen anything like this at any establishment I’ve ever been to, let alone from a woman who appeared to be in her 60s. I’ve literally never witnessed anything like this in my entire life. Very unprofessional and inappropriate; especially in front of customers. This greatly concerned me because now I’m wondering what standards you uphold your employees too. Heavily reconsidering my regular visits if this is what I’ll have to witness.
I came here for lunch, I personally think these restaurants are overrated. I ordered a chicken shawarma and there was no garlic? Not sure whos idea it is not to include the garlic but I wouldnt call it a shawarma. The chicken tasted good and the bread was good but the portion was very small. I had about 4 chunks of chicken on mine and it just wasnt a lot of food for the price. My girlfriend got the steak and cheese and she got 4 pieces of steak. She wasnt able to eat it because the chunks of steak werent really cut up like you would expect on a steak and cheese. In general the food tasted alright but we dont plan on being back because of the value for what you get.
Such exemplary customer service! After a mix up with orders I was told to keep the order I was accidentally given and was made an entirely fresh new replacement order plus given a complimentary menu item for the inconvenience all while being treated with a respectful pleasant experience.. This is exactly how other businesses should model their process after when making things right. Many thanks to Christina Ill be back more often!
Stopped for food on the way to a show. Haven’t been in years, was not disappointed. Yummy choices, zucchini fries were the bomb. Desserts to go and everything. The real highlight was our server John with the good hair! He was humorous and on top of it all. Highly recommend coming just for him to service you.
Worst experience I ever had! My first and last time eating here. I ordered a large curbside order, and when I came to pick it up at the time they told me itd be ready, I waited in my car for almost thirty extra minutes. When they finally brought my food out, the girl Supervisor didnt even apologize & just handed me the bag and walked back inside. To make matters worse when I got home, half my order was made incorrectly. When I drove back to restaurant in rush hour to tell them about the mistakes in my order, the young man behind the counter who was preoccupied playing on his phone tried to argue & blame me for not ordering correctly when I was very clear with my order over the phone! After I waited another twenty or so minutes for them to fix my order, when I got home to finally eat dinner, the food was very bland and try. BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE & POOR FOOD QUALITY!
My mom and I go here all the time but I don’t think we will be returning to this specific Olga’s.Last time we went I found a hair in my salad and had to ask the server to take it off the bill because he tried to make us still pay for it after I sent it back after 2 bites. Tonight we visited after a month or so and my mom ordered a salad with no onion. Food came out and it look pretty decent but as the server sat the salad down he saw an onion in it and proceeded to use his bare hands to take the piece out of the salad. Poor guy was so embarrassed and we knew he felt bad and didn’t mean to do it but if that’s your natural reaction to touch guests food with your bare hands you should probably not be working in the food industry. Everyone was hanging out talking in the back the entire time. For all the times stuff has happened we never once talked to a manager no one came out to ask how things were, honestly we have never seen a manager even on the floor the countless times we have been in there. Definitely needs some better hiring and more authority with the staff. Service is poor, food is mediocre compared to how it used to be. Would not recommend to go to this specific Olga’s.
Ordered 2 separate orders of donuts and they were put together in a large container without my knowledge. I got home and thought I was missing an order of them so I called the store, was put on hold, and hung up on. I called back to which I spoke to a very rude store manager about the problem. She explained she they ran out of the small boxes which is fine. However, you cannot do something to my order like putting them both in one container and not tell the customer because of course i’m going to assume i’m missing an order. I also should’ve been notified when I picked the order up and asked if i still wanted them separate but in large containers or if it was okay for them to be put together. I will not be ordering from here anytime soon thats forsure.
This is my FAVORITE Olga’s! As someone who is a bit particular about her food, the specifications I request with what I order are always followed appropriately. The service is always super friendly, and the management is amazing. The general manager there, Michael, is always so helpful! I’ve seen him help around on multiple visits- making efforts to help his staff while still checking on guests. How awesome!! I love coming to an atmosphere that is equally friendly as it is delicious. There are also certain days I don’t feel like getting out in public but still have the craving. Can’t stress enough how much I also love their curb side to go!! And with the weather in Michigan, who wants to get out of their car?! It’s such a brilliant service. My family and I love Olga’s and we’re never disappointed. All of these factors keep me coming back for more!!! (:
Very disappointed. I placed an order for curbside pickup. Pick up time was 18 minutes. Waited close to an additional ten minutes before going inside to pick up the order. Waitress at the register barely acknowledged me as I walked in. If she was not about to help, she made no effort to find help. Finally got my food to find the meals cold. I live five minutes away, the food should still be fresh. Two Olga sandwiches and an order of fries were ordered. Everything was cold. The fries werent even a full side portion, more like the size of a small order of McDonalds fries. Fries were also cold and soggy. I didnt feel it was worth going back as customer service did not seem to be a priority.
Ordered the other night. Curbside of course. Food was horrible. Ordered the original Olga fries and snackers. Original had a pile of onions, one tomato mound of greasy tasting lamb meat. Really disappointed in the efforts of restaurants knowing we all have to order to go. You would think the restaurants might take a little extra care. Knowing we all are really trying to support our community.I love olgas since my childhood. I’ll be back. Just it’s my money waisted again
Tried to have lunch shortly after they opened. Only two other groups in there, and after 30 minutes after ordering and not seeing our waitress, and other groups ordering and getting their food even though they showed up after us, we left. Horrible. Dont bother going here.
We had an awful experience here. We came towards the end of the lunch rush, but the lack of service was unacceptable. It took a neighboring table complaining to a manager (who appeared clueless) to get a server to our area. At that point we had been sitting at our table for over 10 minutes without a greeting from anyone and the neighboring table had been waiting for nearly 20 minutes. Eventually, we did get a server. She was kind, but not attentive and did not pay attention to details. She missed an item we ordered completely and other small things. She never checked to see how our food was. I had to get my own to-go container, high chair, request the bill, and we never got refills on our beverages. We chose Olgas because it is a fast-casual restaurant that is normally perfect for our toddler and infant that we had with us. This was a frustrating experience that lasted over an hour and a half, far longer than a Olgas experience normally is.
Starting off food was decent. The hostess took us to a dirty table and thought it was clean, she made me wait to clean it since it was a complete mess. Ordered food and drinks at the same time and the drinks came out minutes before the food. Food came and only saw our waitress once after it came out. Asked her for the bill, 20 minutes before I decided to walk to the front and ask to pay my bill. Did not see our waitress once in that 20 minute time, but saw the manager walking around multiple times doing nothing . As we stated we have been waiting for our bills so we could leave , she barks back saying oh the staff is so busy. There were over 10 tables empty. No one waiting. If you guys were so busy the manager needed to be helping out, working as a team and helping out. Very unprofessional and extremely rude to be told that they are super busy, 20 minutes with our credit cards in our hands, no plates , empty drinks at our table, someone, especially the manager walking around should have noticed, and stepped in on helping out.UPDATE:I emailed you and got a response on July first. I responded the next day and still have not heard back from anyone. 8 DAYS AND NO ONE RESPONDS TO MY EMAILS.
My wife and I go here a lot. We love the food and price. We almost always get the Olga plus meal. What we dont love: The plates are too small. Not the portions. The plates. Especially the salad with the plus meal. The bowl is so small that half of it falls on the table. Its difficult to enjoy. We have to ask for extra plates and dump the salad on the plate. On the plus meal the fries fall off while trying to eat the sandwich. Annoying. My advice, new bigger plates.
Went to Olgas on my way home from work, and ordered an original Olga and snackers. The entire restaurant was empty except one table. I watched as several people came in after me to place orders, and left before me. I waited longer than Ive waited in any restaurant ever, with no explanation. Poor customer service!
I LOVE this Olgas! The manager there, Michael Dash, is so wonderful! He works so hard and Im always thankful to see him every time I go to this location. I have been coming here for years, and am never disappointed. He is so friendly and I always see him going above and beyond to help his employees and to make sure everything is going smoothly. The food is delicious, and Im always thrilled with my experience when I come here!
Had an incident with a takeout order being completely wrong. Was initially frustrated, before I could call and complain the manager called me! She apologized, comped my meal and even tossed me a free dessert for my troubles. Way to turn an unhappy customer into a repeat customer.
Today my husband and I went there with our 18 month old. Our food was really good. I ordered the endless broccoli soup, salad and snackers, I couldn’t finish what I was given but very pleased. Our server was nice but everyone didn’t seem very happy to be working. It wasn’t an inviting atmosphere.
My daughter and I are frequent visitors to this location. Most of our experiences have been good, however, the last couple visits were not and after this evening, we will not dine there again. First, there was a large hair in my daughters salad and then, even worse than hair in the food, an employee came out of the kitchen and belched in the dining area in the ear of another employee. This was absolutely inappropriate and it was the second time this happened while we were in this restaurant. We also had this experience a few weeks ago and I complained to our waitress at that time. Tonight, I asked for a manager and while he apologized, we were still handed a bill for our entire meal and he just didn’t seem overly concerned about our issues. Disappointed because the food here is usually very good but I can’t get past the obvious other issues at this location.
My first visit at this location was on Monday. The staff was attentive, friendly and professional from the minute we walked in until the second we left. It was my moms first time at an Olga’s. The waitress was so great helping her with the menu. The food was BEYOND fresh! This is now my favorite Olga’s location!
First time at this location even though Ive lived super close for a few years. Im kicking myself that I didnt go sooner. Although I was alone, I didnt feel alone. Every single person who greeted me was incredibly kind, personable, and we held real conversations. Its so hard to meet attentive & caring people in the service industry today. Olgas should be extremely proud of this location. My server Erin was one of the best Ive ever encountered. Such a kind soul & she truly blessed me today. Ashley, my hostess was equally amazing. I cant wait to go back next weekend.
Normally I wouldnt be petty about restaurant reviews, but I felt mildly irritated by this. Im not from the area and Olgas seemed to be the best choice available. The host was great, very kind and polite. The waitress was some what pleasant. My boyfriend and I ordered separate endless snackers with soup and salad and our order was sent out. The waitress came back with one tray of snackers and one bowl of salad. Slightly confused I waited patiently to see when my food order was coming, but it never did until I got the attention from the waitress. I asked confused if another tray of snackers was coming out and she kind of gave me this weird look but grabbed some for me. The soups took about 15 minutes for them to come out, which was fine. When the bill came of course it was 2 separate orders and that wasnt the problem. The problem is charging for two meals when the waitress brought out one meal and acted like I was being petty and rude for asking for my food. Ive been to an Olgas a few times before and Ive never had a waitress not bring out my food. This review is just an fyi to the people working there that when your customers order two separate meals, it means they are separate from each other. If we wanted to split the meal then we would have said so, please dont assume.
My family has been dining at Olgas since the 1970s. My mother went to high school with Olga at Hazel Park High. It was always one of our favorite places but we will not be returning. We came to the Auburn Hills location on a Tuesday night. There were only 8 tables of customers and quite a lot of staff. It took them 10 minutes for someone to seat us. We sat there for another 15 minutes before anyone even acknowledged us. It was a waitress who had another section but she said she would tell our server and she brought us drinks. After another 15 minutes my husband finally approached the manager and explained how we had been sitting there for at least 30 minutes and had not been asked for our order. She said she was sorry but they had a new system for the wait staff and it was a little confusing. She turned her back on my husband and went into the kitchen. Finally a wait person came over and took our order. He kept coming by and telling us that our food would be coming up soon. By now another 25 minutes had passed. People who came in quite awhile after we did had gotten their food. We finally got up and told the manager that we had been there for over an hour with nothing but 2 diet cokes. She looked at us and said sorry but offered nothing else. She treated us as if we were a bother to her. It is sad to see what has happened to a once great Michigan chain. I noticed that a lot of other reviewers had the same type of experience that we did.
They could have used two people on the to go orders. Had to wait ten minutes to have my order taken. Young man got one of the orders before mine wrong as well as forgetting two items from my order. The young was pleasant through it all. I just think more help was needed.
I like Olga’s once in a while, but their prices are rather high for what you get. A pita wrap, fries and a drink will easily set you back $13 or more. The food is good, but a family of four will leave with a $50+ bill for basically a meal that is mildly better than fast food.
I simply dont get it....prices are high for the small Olga wrap and measly amount of fries you receive in the combo meal. Portion size and quality could drastically improve. When I walked into the establishment, I was not greeted and waited quite awhile before someone acknowledged me. Staff walked by, but said nothing? Both the service and the food provided leave nothing memorable.
Beyond horrible service from the manager on down. The manager sat us along with another table in a section with no server. We waited over 15 minutes before we had to go and get the manager to find us a server. Our food took over 45 minutes to come out and our server who ended up getting pulled to help us failed to properly take our order. While we waited for our food, our server walked past us over a dozen times and never bothered to check on us or see if we needed refills or the status of our order. Total lack of oversight or managerial ability.
The food was good (my peasant soup refill was cold) and service mediocre, unlike any other Olgas Ive been to (always great service). The hostess was mopping and left the mop and bucket across from my table during my visit. Very improper for food handling and unsightly for a customer to see. Everyone, including the manager, seemed to be more concerned with closing for the night, than the patrons.
We did curbside today. So tired from all the days activities that I just didnt want to dine in and be friendly. So, by the time I decided on Olgas we were practically in their parking lot, so we ordered from the car. It was ready in a short 10-15 minutes. The gal came for the payment, brought out food, and we headed home. This was a time where everything was right. All of our order was correct! Its such a pleasant dinner when everything is right ! No complaints today. I will call it a WIN!!
The food was delicious, but the prices are a bit high when compared to other coney islands. The thing about Olgas is this: their bread is incredible. Sweet, yeasty, and just the perfect pair for their unique gyro meat. While youre there go for the Orange Cream Cooler too.
Place is way too slow, me and my friends sat there for 10 minutes and they didnt even take our order or bring us water so we left. The problem is not just for this Olgas but for a lot of Olgas.Edit, I came back and they still were super slow, they had a 50 cent Original Olga deal, in additon to spending an hour trying to order from the app and 30 minutes waiting for the order. They were nice though giving me all my orders for free since they were so busy, they need to hire more people
First time eating there. I ordered a bowl of their red pepper and tomato soup. It was delicious. I also ordered the item of the month, smoked brisket platter. The brisket sandwich was full of fat meat. So it was not that appetizing. The pesto rice was ok and the grilled veggies were on the oily side. Not sure if I will return. If I wanted high fat food I could have gone to a fast food place.
Took me 5 min to get seated. They were “short staffed” but the restaurant was empty and then it took an additional 5 min for my server Jerry to come to my table and take my order. He brought me my bill and now after waiting an additional 5 min (after him walking past my table multiple times) he finally took my bill up. In addition food tasted mediocre compared to other locations. I will not return to this location, next time I’m hungry I’ll just go to buddy’s...
I ❤️❤️❤️ Olga’s Kitchen & go 🤪 for their 🍮🥤🥗🌯🥩🧀🧀🍟🍲 every single time I go there !!!!!!!!!! The food is always amazing 👍 & yummy 😋 & the service is always deserving of an A+ grade 👌👌 !!!!!!!!!!**Most importantly, I enjoy being treated with R-E-S-P-E-C-T & that’s how Olga’s Kitchen has always been 2 me, very “respectful”. That’s why I will stay with Olga’s !!!!!!!!!! 🥰😘
Got sat and waited for waitress to ask if we wanted drinks and take our order for 20 mins. Went to the front and was told she would be right out, waited another 10 mins and walked out. Saw them all on their phones hanging out in the back as we walked out the front door. At buddys pizza now :)
The food is always good but its a little overpriced and they have gotten very stingy with the serving sizes. You order a basket of snackers and its almost as though they counted them out precisely and the baskets never even half full. Very disappointing in that regard.
Horribly managed, poor service. Tables were not cleared, unwilling to clean large table to accommodate our party. Said they were slammed and we had to wait.???? There were 4 other tables and three employees goofing around in the back. Omar was the only saving grace, took great care of our party.
The only complaint I have is that they dont have enough locations! Please open more again, sell franchises if you have to! The first owners, Olga & her sister Sandy, were good customers of mine in Birmingham. They got me addicted and now I hafta go from the country to the hood to get my Olgas fix!😲
There was no service we had to wait like ten min just to order our food. then we got our food and i got the chicken shawrma and the rap part felt like it was glue. before we got our food my mom ask what was the chicken shawarma taste like and the cashier said that it was prepacked and that the put it in a marinade. if im going to go and eat something at a restaurant i would prefer to have something that is fresh and not prepacked and frozen food. the chicken itself was awful it was like a sponge.
This location really lacks good quality customer service. When I made a to go order, it took forever for someone to come out to my car to give me my food. Then I get upset that I have to get out and go get my order. Even making a to go order inside is a hassle because no one is there to greet you and everyone is running around like they do not see you standing there waiting. How rude! Slow service, terrible manners.
I AM NOT ONE FOR REVIEWS BUT THIS OLGAS IS AN ABSOLUTE JOKE! we waited 20 minutes in an empty restaurant for a server to come ask if we wanted drinks. We proceeded to talk put and saw the ENTIRE staff in their back kitchen on their phones. I would NEVER reccomend this establishment to anyone.
This is the only restaurant that is banned in our family. Service is always terrible, the place is always understaffed and dirty and my kids have been served expired milk. Save yourself the headache and go to one of the many restaurants in the area that actually make an effort.
I used to like this location but now the quality seems dont care - half of the curly fries were like deep fried and crunchy, and the sandwich had no peppers in it, which is usually what I go for. Then I had to wait 10 mins at the counter just to pay my bill.- and there waa no rush even, sad to say
Normally I would give 4 stars but this time I was a little disappointed. The broccoli soup was a bit watery and not creamy like normal and the spinach pie was a little doughy. Also we were put at table with no silverware. And people who came in after us were given there food before we got ours.
Horrible and Horrible and again Horrible service, I had a carryout and waited atleast an hour after I called it in. Then I proceeded to asked the black lady where my order is and she then after another 15 minutes threw the bag at me. Never will i step foot back in this establishment ever no where.

2022-07-11Love the Olga bread, which was invented in Michigan! Broccoli cheddar soup, salad, spinach pie, and Original Olga are all wonderful too! Nice variety on the kids menu. Im surprised theyre not busier, on a Friday night almost all the tables were empty. Feeding a family a sit down meal here is less expensive than McDonalds, menu has more vegetables, and much better service!

2021-08-28Very bad experience, disappointed with both food and service. To start with waitress looked uninterested to serve and she did not even tell us that menu from barcode has more items than menu gave us at the table and when we realized that she responded saying’I already put in your order’. We ordered spinach and feta dip and there was too much seasoning on the chips so chips are too salty and hard to eat. I ordered Olga’s way sandwich, it was tasteless and not enough sauce. Overall very bad experience and I wouldn’t come here again.

2022-06-30Long time since we have gone to Olgas. Food is still great if you stick with the old standards like the Original Olga & white bean chicken chili.Good service in an almost deserted restaurant at 3:30 in the afternoon.Tried the chicken shawarma that was not good. No taste, but cheerfully exchanged.Looks like they gave up their investment in a full smoothie bar, but thats okay.

2022-05-11I have ordered here before and it was great! Two days ago got an order from here and was very disappointed! All I got was two regular Olgas. The bread was burnt, the meat tasted off & there was very little sauce on it.I dont know what to say about the situation.

2022-07-17Drove an hour and half to dine on Olgas. Food is good but place is dirty and staff is uninterested in working or being attentive. Bathroom need a scrub and dinning room a sweep. Advice : dont lean clean! Bring some energy to the customer rather than acting like whatever. Some serving training would be helpful!

2022-05-18Food was tasty and the service was friendly and kind. Lots of really good options on the menu. Only issue was the pita I had was really soggy making eating by hand very difficult.

2022-01-07I ordered by phone and the food was ready in about 5 min. Quick service.I was surprised to pay almost $14 for the order. I told who I believe was the manager and she looked like a deer in headlights. I asked if the prices had gone up and she responded with she doesnt have anything to do with the prices and it was probably due to covid. It would have been appropriate to offer information regarding coupons or special offers. The cashier was much more pleasant and personable. I love Olgas but wont revisit this location as I had also seen the person who I believe to be the mgr in the kitchen for at least 10 minutes without a hair net on a previous occasion. The kitchen door has windows.

2022-01-24Understaffed and a little dirty (they were cleaning the back while we were trying to eat). I got the original Olga and it tasted like every other original Olga I’ve gotten - yummy lamb and yummier bread. Wait staff were nice enough but were also kind of bumming around the front of the store.
