Olive Garden Italian Restaurant in other cities:
Food was good. Waitress....not so much! Didnt refill drinks. Didnt bring us more breadsticks. Didnt give us mints when we paid our bill. I left tip on the table but my family insisted I not leave the amount I was intending to leave because she was not attentive at all. Food can be great and it doesnt make you want to come back if service is lacking.
My God, guys, hire another (or a faster) bar tender. Put in another PRS station or 2.You could literally double your drink sales very easily. Also the restaurant was at 70% capacity with a 50 minute wait. Hire more people. Increase your wages and benefits if you cant find people to work.Leaving a lot of money on the table, and providing a mediocre experience. Step it up.
The food was amazing the waiter named Antonio was absolutely horrible he never brought our drinks, and never ask if we needed anything we had to ask multiple times for things we needed it was horrible he was not a good waiter at all and he also tried to overcharge us $10.50 so glad I double checked my bill! It was horrible. We were a group of five and we were out celebrating a upcoming wedding and we all said it was the worst experience we had ever had!
The food here was not good. It smelled, and the chicken had a weird texture. The children’s fries could also have been salt shakers themselves because one touch and you had a whole portion of salt on your hand. The breadsticks were good on the outside, but one of them had a hair somewhere on it that was a reddish color and took my appetite away. Finally, the customer service was..eh. The people themselves were nice, but they could not get the order! We spent 3 extra dollars on something they did wrong, they mistaked our sprite for a lemonade, and they would always forget napkins 😅 (it was odd because there were two people taking our order, not one.
Im sure they are short of help. We waited 20 minutes and askes two different people before we got water. There was a huge long piece of hair like at least 18 inches long in my salad. No exaggeration. The soup was cold, They served our salad without plates. WOW!! I will never come back to this location in Sterling Hts. What a disappointment. I would recommend going to a different Olive garden location
Last week I called at 10:30 to make a carry out, told they were no longer taking orders. I complained, was contacted and given a gift card! That’s great..seriously. I just tried to call and order at 10:25, was told no longer taking orders and to go through the app, which I did but then it wouldn’t let me order for tonite. It’s only 10:31 as I am writing this. What is the purpose of making things rite with the customer if you don’t educate the people at the store? It’s 6-10-22
My son loved his mac&cheese! I liked my drink, I ordered spick strawberry lemonade, the salad and breadsticks were ok! Very nice lady how waited on us! Very friendly and caring! However, We ordered mignon! And I’m sure the filet we got was NOT a mignon! Especially my husband’s because it was thin and flat and dry and mine was just a thicker filet but it was Not a filet mignon! The pasta wasn’t cooked very well and tasteless! I might go back, but order something else!
Its expensive, but decent food and okay service unless youre trying to hit a world record with the soup and breadsticks, as they dont bring refills around fast enough for my liking. Today our waitress happened to do a great job with it though3/5, typically reliable service, food is good enough, but not anywhere approaching what Id call a good valueNotes: I dont only consider cheap things a value, expensive things can provide value too if they can bring the flavor
While the food was good, they are obviously hurting for help and the long wait time with a practically empty restaurant is a direct consequence. Other then that, which they cannot be fully blamed for, the food quality was good, and the service did well. I hope things get better for them soon. I would return here again, just hope they can get the staff they need to get fully back up and running.
We always dine at this location. There services and staff are always amazong and beyond. This time we went with our two toddlers. We sat down and had our server come and my husband referred to the waiter “ yes brother” and he commented back with my name is Lee ! I told my husband it was his fault because we need to show respect proper way of addressing them if we dont know names. Such as Mr/Ms./Sir. Then as we got our soup and salad. They brought in the entrees. I told our waiter if we can have a refill on our salad/soup and he was just overwhelmed. I will get to it i have two tables to take care of and continued about his duties. And like I shouldn’t rush him. But the funny thing he didn’t even get us the water we had asked for. Secondly, our toddlers get to go cups with lids always and I hundred percent request half of cup fill. As he was complaining hes being overwhelmed with so many tables to take. I looked and i said to him we didnt even get our water ! Like you seriously over here telling me to not remind you or ask for a refill ! But yet you forgot the simplest thing our waters! And how we take it. However i went aside and asked to leave to pay to another waiter. Manager came didnt let us pay. The manager was very nice and friendly. I didnt want to go that way where they pay for my bill no intentions to do that but really bothered by his comments and how he said he has other tables. This is something you know how to take care of if you cant keep up it shouldn’t be something you consider to do. I always appreciate my waiters and there hard work but i never want to hear the words such as “ wait i have to take other tables before your refills “ know how you can serve your table. But then when the manager paid i had told her to give him $20 tip because i know how hard and stressful waitering is. And i hope he reads this and knows that we tipped him
The whole staff was very very nice and our server, ken, was just the sweetest. the food was also very good. i would’ve given it a five star however when me and my boyfriend got home we started to feel horrible stomach pain. his only lasted for about thirty mins until he relieved himself in the bathroom but mine lasted for about four hours, including hot flashes and nausea, until i was able to go to the bathroom.
I absolutely love coming here to eat. The food and the service is always super amazing and the staff are very friendly. Also their deals are amazing; like the buy one take one home deal! Youll never leave this place still feeling hungry. You get a choice of soup or salad before your entrée along with bread. Their bread has gotten better too.
I swear The Olive Garden is hit or miss. I personally have been dining there too much considering the amount of bad experiences I had, especially at the lakeside sterling height restaurant. This time we spent about 80 dollars with tip and could not get enough breadsticks. It is like they were rationing breadsticks. I asked the waitress for more and of course they were in the oven. Fifteen minutes later she asked if wanted dessert.....no breadsticks. She did after the dessert give us three breadsticks to go. Thanks! That is exactly what I wanted, breadsticks after the entree and dessert. I have to stop eating at the Olive Garden.
You never leave an Olive Garden hungry! Started the meal with bread and marinara sauce. The bread sticks are always so warm and fluffy. The sauce is just tangy enough to satisfy. I could have stopped with the bread and salad but headed in for a main dish. Ended up with a carry out bag and lunch for tomorrow. This location is clean, prompt staff, and all the food is on point. Highly recommend.
I usually love Olive Garden. But the quality was definitely less today. The bread sticks were... Like some cheap freezer kind and more dense and covered in a yellow (margarine) sauce. I dont ever remember seeing that on my bread sticks before. Just things that make ya go HMMMMMMM. I had a lasagna noodle in my angel hair shrimp scampi. And it took forever but there were a Ton of employees hanging around!!!
I’m sure I’m not the first to say how can a place make such good breadsticks and a salad, and miss the main course? I’ve not been there in years. Wife and daughter enjoy eating there, but the lasagna I had was pretty bland except for the over spiced sausage. I was not a fan of the taste, but that is my opinion, not yours.
I was sat and several servers passed me. After 10 minutes I ordered an appetizer via the kiosk. Would have ordered a drink but couldnt get soda. After 15 minutes my server came by and said he would be back for my order. By the time he stopped my appetizer was being dropped off. Gave him my order, waited another 5 minutes for my drink. Food was not good either. Toasted ravioli was hard to cut. When I got my tour of Italy the fettuccine noodles were undercooked. Just had them get me a to go box and left. I had wanted some Italian donuts but felt 40$ was enough to waste on bad food here.
This location has gone downhill in the past year. Our waitress was not attentive barely checked on us during our visit. We were left having to ask other servers to bring us pop or soup refills. When we talked to the manager she didnt seem surprised and had the excuse that she may have had personal things going on or having a bad day and did not seem to really care. It honestly sounded like it was a normal occurrence. We ended up tipping the waitress that we had to keep asking for help from, she was the best part of that that restaurant. We will not be back unfortunately.
Food was good but not what I expected. I was expecting more meatballs and just not a bread bowl of pizza sauce and cheese. It would be better if they added bigger meatballs and less pizza sauce. I will always love there soup! One thing that took me by surprise was a weird odor when you come in through the front door. Dont know what that was about, maybe it was a one time thing!
My wife and I went here for dinner on Friday and it was nice. When we were done and walking out of the restaurant. I guess the manager was in a blue shirt and my wife was using her walker due to her having hip surgery. As we were proceeding out the door the manager in the blue shirt was standing at the counter on the right hand side talking and my wife and I said excuse us. The manager did not move we said it again and he turned around with the most disgusting look on his face like we were wrong. And we walked out the door he was still looking at us with absolute disgust.
Great food, great service, my man Max was quick and to the point, got my drink to me quick. Usually it takes a second for the waiter/waitress to remember I had a drink coming from the bar. He wasnt in my face too often asking if everything was okay, but did make sure we were satisfied. As much as I appreciate others, Id rather enjoy my date and my food so I appreciate when its not TOO much.
Bad server, bad food, bad everything. sat down and had a spider right next to on the wall. messed up and brought the wrong drink out and the wrong soup. food was plated messy and forgot my shrimp in the chicken and SHRIMP carbonara. been 4 hours since i ate and all 4 of us have had horrific torturous cases of diarrhea painting the toilet bowl brown every trip to the got dayum toilet. absolutely nasty and gross.
Sloooow service, average food, high prices. For the money there are more upscale restaurants available.Well, its been 5 years, and its hard to believe, but I have to reduce this olive garden from 2 stars to 1. Absolutely awful. Due to medical reasons, this was the first family meal out in many months, and unfortunately we picked the Olive Garden. I could list all the specifics of the many problems, but they dont really matter as much. What matters is the kitchen cant get it right on the second or third (! THIRD) attempt, and the manager does not care enough to stop by a table that has had to send multiple items back to the kitchen. The back of the house has terrible standards, and the front of the house has no management ability. Make a better choice than we did and skip this location next time. Booo and shame on this staff for such a lousy experience.
I came here at about 9:45 PM on a saturday night to take my boyfriend out to dinner for his birthday- they closed at 11, so plenty of time to have a quick meal and get out. When I came in, there was only two people waiting in the lobby for a table, and the parking lot barely had any cars in it - the restaurant was very clearly not busy and almost empty. Before i could even say anything to the host, the manager informed me that their wait time was exceeding their hours of operation and so they couldn’t give me a table, period. I was appalled. i’m not joking when I say there was two other people waiting for a table. and their wait time is over an hour? Yeah I don’t buy that. The manager very clearly lied in order to not seat us. We walked across the parking lot to the Red Lobster next door, and had a fantastic meal with an amazing server and we were out well before closing time. Don’t come to this Olive Garden within two hours of closing if you want to be seated, because apparently the female manager personally decides the hours of operation depending on her mood.
Best OG location in Michigan? It’s possible, at least the best location in Oakland and Macomb counties. For some reason there is still a distinct smell of dirty towels coming from the kitchen/bar area, but as long as you don’t sit close by you can enjoy your meal. OG has many of my favorite meals and combined with the unlimited soups, salads, and breadsticks it’s tough to beat OG on price, quantity, and quality. Just need to raise the customer service game by servers and I could up the rating to a 5 star! Love the decor, music (where do you find these versions of the songs?), and wine list. Looking forward to never ending pasta bowllllll!!!!
The food was great and so was the wait staff. The only issue me and my girlfriend had is we felt very rushed which Im sure was coming down from management. We are not slow eaters. Before I even took a bite of my salad they had the entree and they were already trying to give us dessert before we even had a bite of dinner. There was a line and with limited seating I get there trying to make money so I didnt dock them too much on it. Overall still a good experience
Service is decent with friendly staff. However, they removed my favorite dish off the menu: stuffed chicken Marsala. There is a regular chicken Marsala but it is not the same. Pretty expensive dishes for mostly lower quality food. Salad and breadsticks are the only thing that makes up for this. Kiosks never work right and will delay your dining experience. I only go there as a last resort and because my daughter likes it.
Very unimpressed by the service. Our waitress just plops the silverware on the bare table. Even asked for it to be wiped she didn’t. Then brings our food asked us if we needed anything before we could even respond she says ok great and walks away. They don’t pay attention. It’s like having teen girls as your waitress. Didn’t ask us if we needed anything else before just grabbing our bill: it’s like she couldn’t wait to get us out of there. They need a more mature and person friendly staff.
2 stars for amazing wait staff but the food quality at this location is disgusting. the bteadsticks come out hard, you ask for more they come out harder. the Alfredo and soup taste watered down. drinks were watered down as well. waste of money and time we wont be returning.
I love the pasta, I love the bread sticks, I love the salad, I love the salad dressing, I just dont like the ever rising prices. Give me less food and drop the prices accordingly and Ill make sure to visit more often. Now its special occasions only. Two or three times a year instead of three times a month. Unfortunately, as theres always a long line, many other people dont mind the prices.Edit: May 15, 2022 bad experience: waiter not listening, ordered a salad with a side of chicken. Two soups and two salads later still no chicken. Asked for it several times. The chicken finally came out after I was done eating. Drinks never got refilled. Asked for take out containers for soups, salad, and breadsticks and got only one for a soup. Asked again, got all but the bread stick bag. Had to ask again. Waiter not very attentive at all. Dirty napkin on window ledge, someone elses food under table. Unkempt. Maybe I will try them again next year...
Wow what a great time the4 of us had last week Friday. Our oldest sister Ilene 84 just lost her husband a couple of months ago. Myself n wife invited her whiles she was from Houghlton lake visiting to dinner. We had such a great time. Our food came after our cheese rolls just at the right time. Our waitress was so very understanding our request. I cant say enough times thank you for our great meal n our your service.
Food was great. Server was great. Love the chicken gnocci soup.Only took about 10 minutes to get used to the wet dog / urine smell. Couldnt figure it out. Almost left. May have cleaned the carpets and they werent dry yet? Reminded me of the days youd go to the bar.on asuper hot night and u could smell the old beer in the floor?
Food is always good, new Chicken Marsala was very tasty. They did a great job of spacing people well since we still have to distance here. Server was struggling with being attentive. This seems to be true in a couple other places. Wonder if she is new. Still, took too much to get her attention. It wasnt even a busy time when we went.
The wait was 25 minutes and we were the only ones waiting for a table. When a table was ready, they put us in a space that had 6 booths and 5 were already filled. Felt stuffy being congregated in one area and there was no 6 foot rule being established...Our waitress was attentive but forgetful. She made up for the mistakes by offering extras to go. Like additional breadsticks and drinks.
Update: Place seems to have improved significantly recently.Previous review: Hate this location. Dont bother ordering carry out in advance. Youre going to stand inside for at least 20 minutes waiting for someone to walk back and get your order. Bad restaurant in a good location. Do yourself a favor and just drive out to the one by Great Lakes Crossing.
We went here on August 1st for our Sons 9th birthday because he just loves Olive Garden. He waited 2mos for this Day just for us to be turned away. We had a party of 12, and we were told an hr and a half wait. There were plenty of empty tables that could have been pushed together that we did see. We were told by the staff even if they did push tables together wed still have an hr wait? I just didnt understand that Logic. The restaurant was not that crowded At All. We saw we were not wanted there, so we ended up going next door to Red Lobster and were seated within 10mins, and provided superb service. We will never go to this location ever again. Thanks, but No Thanks.
This location is by far the Best one Ive been to in a Long time. The Roseville and Warren (Van Dyke) locations I almost Always have to ask for something taken of my bill or a new dish or both. The chicken on the Chicken Alfredo was freshly cooked and Not burnt on one-side like it usually it. It was a Great experience. And our waitress was Spot-on with Everything!!! HIGHLY recommend this location!!!
I went with some friends to the Eastpointe.location about a month or so ago, service was so incredibly horrible, bc we waited an hour to order, and then walked out. Mgr was rude and un helpul, so I called Corp, the sent a $50 gift card, so Sunday, July 18, we went to the Lakeside location. What a difference. Service was outstanding, quick. Waitress name was Tiffany. She was extremely nice, helpful and efficient. Id go back there in a heartbeat.
Love this Olive Garden. We have gotten Carrie twice now ( we go sorta often) and I will ask for her every time from now on! She’s spunky, attentive, and a great to talk with.Well I can’t leave a second review so I’m here again, tonight we had waiter Dan, Dan the man. He was super quick, and on spot. Thank you Dan for taking care of us…!
Im never coming back to this Olive Garden again. I was just there yesterday 3/5/21 with one of my best friends and I ordered the Minestrone Soup with Shrimp Alfredo and my friend ordered Chicken Parmigiana. The food was delicious, and the service was nice and friendly, and the atmosphere was nice, but overnight I came down with food poisoning which kept me up all night with nausea, diarreha, and stomach cramps which caused me to cancel my up north trip once again for the 3rd time in a 5 month span. My friend never got sick luckily but I did which is why Ill never come back just to be safe than sorry and Im suggesting my friend to do the same. I highly recommend that you to stay away from this specific Olive Garden and take the extra precautions and miles and go to a different one.
My server tiffany was terrible. she did not come to our table after my friend and i received our food. We had the never ending soup, salad, and breadsticks and let me tell you tiffany apparently did not know the meaning of never ending. I ended up having to call her on our tablet and she looked at me like i was bothering her even though she literally works here. Will not be dining here again. AND we did not get any mints.
We had a family group of 9 and they were able to put us in a small separate room with a large round table which was great. Our waiters name was Jeffrey, from Costa Rica, but I am sure I am spelling it incorrectly. He was super! My only complaint was some misinformation about the wait time and reservations.
I did not care for the customer service when I went to pick up my food. The worker continued to walk past me while I was at the To Go register. He was more interested in seating people rather than ask if I needed assistance or have the common courtesy to say ‘someone will be with you soon’. Customer service skills need to be taught more often.
There was this one waiter, had cherry eating and a mickey mouse watch and red hair, she was my favorite waiter ever! She was so nice and I really liked her sense of style. I forgot her name but if we go to this Olive garden I suggest that you request for her. The food was also amazing and I highly recommend!
During the pandemic.. Went here with my 80 year old mother. They made her carry the silverware to our table. We laughed it off and she was a good sport about it.But why in Gods name is the wait staff not carrying clean silverware to the table? They take the dirty ones away.Common sense isnt so common I take it. Thats messed up.Aside from that. Great food! 3 stars for making an elderly woman carry clean cutlery sans an explanation.
This location is pretty consistent as it relates to quality of food and service. It is a chain but it is still one of my favorite restaurants. I have been to some pretty elaborate Italian restaurants and honestly Olive Garden’s food is better. Olive Garden also has a pretty decent drink menu including alcoholic as caffenated beverages. The ambiance is decent, but I believe it may be due for some remodeling in the near future.
Left Buca Di Beppo on the fly to go here. Called ahead, but with limited seating I was alerted that you must be on site to reserve a table.I was able to get there pretty quick...and I was able to be seated almost immediately. They have a great policy about waiting for your table in your car due to the pandemic. They take down your mobile number and text you as soon as your table is ready. I got lucky and didnt have to return to my car.Our server Demi was fantastic. Our food came out rapidly and the sangria she recommended was fantastic. You definitely get your moneys worth for a pitcher of sangria vs. ordering by the drink. I will definitely return. Quality service, and portions that match what you pay for. 👏🏾👏🏾
My husband and I stopped going to Olive Garden in the past, the food was not as good as it used to be. But, earlier this year, my children and I went to Olive Garden for lunch and it was wonderful. Last week, my husband and I went for date night and again the food was great!
You know Ive heard some complain that OG is a chain restaurant, but for 25 or.more year I have continually gotten fabulous experiences at Olive Garden. I could eat salad and breadsticks as my main meal.every day. But why miss out on all of the other great food. Lately I have had to be more heart conscious, so I had to Taylor my choices towards grilled seafood choices and broccoli. The servers at this location are always very polite and attentive. My wife & I will be back again & again. 5 stars.
The cook is killing this review for all of you.... we pay $18 for each pasta entree, and the cook can’t even cook our noodles properly (they were sticking together). Not to mention, every time we go I have to ask for extra sauce because the cook doesn’t put enough sauce on there. Why do we have to remember to tell you to do your job?! We paid a lot of money to eat there, but not anymore. I’ll go somewhere else or make my own pasta that’s not overly priced and under delivered.
Casual atmosphere, yet a touch of class. Great service. Great food. Entrees are priced a little on the high end, but the available specials make up for it. We each ordered the Diner Duo special, which is slightly smaller than the regular entrees; It was more than enough and we all ended up taking leftovers home. Five stars all around!
Great service!! Our waitress was so kind!! Kept saying what can I get you beautiful? And heres your food gorgeous and there was a mix up in the kitchen and she told us so kindly and offered not 1 but 2 free desserts for the trouble (even though it was none) she interacted with my 1 year old princess and made our trip very good and welcoming! Need more people like her, she needs a raise!
It was awful 😢. We had a party of 7 and couldnt all sit together. Understand the law says no more than 6 at a table, but damn you sit us on the other side of the restaurant. We lost the desire to eat and ordered our food to go. My grandson which is 7 was upset that his family couldnt sit together. The waitress promised him a dessert... still waiting on that one. Wasnt handled well 😕
Service was great. Ordered online on 12/24/2020. The Chicken Gnocci soup was banging, I can order another helping of that. I had worked up an appetite for the Classic Lasagna, and was a little disappointed. It was like slimy cheese noodle soup. If I had the energy that day, I would have made my own. At least you could see my layers. The salad and breadsticks were also good.
-2 ...not even 1 star.Attempted to have Olive Garden (Lakeside) for dinner. Worst experience I have had anywhere…anytime. They were NO WHERE near prepared for Mothers Day Carry Out.This horrible ordeal started at 5:15pm when we attempted to call and order…no luck always busy. Never ordered anything online….but family wanted me to have Olive Garden(one of my favorites) for Mother’s day. Took 25 minutes to process order and pay on line (5:20-5:45pm). We picked a later time assuming they would be busy. Picked 6:40pm as the pick up time and arrived at 6:25pm. Found 2 lines of traffic wrapped around Lakeside. No one from Olive Garden directing any traffic or giving instructions. Husband tried calling over 120 times in the FIRST hour we were in line. If we could have cancelled…we would….but couldn’t reach anyone. Guess they took it off the hook….didn’t want to hear from IRATE customers. At 7:45pm, hubby walked (in the rain) to the door and asked status….they told him they were running about 1.5 hours late ( ok so assume we would see something at around 8:15pm—knew better, but accepted.. he suggested they communicate to the hundreds of people waiting). At 8:30pm, finally pulled into the edge of the parking lot. 8:40pm pulled up to an Olive Garden employee who was assigning parking(pick up) spots. Finally pulled into a parking spot at 8:45pm. Watched other cars come and go that arrived long after us. 9:30pm got out to catch someone and ask status. Was told they were 3 HOURS behind. Our order finally got to our car at 9:45pm…. There were only 12-15 cars left in the parking lot…so those people must have ordered after me (5:45pm and before they closed 9:00pm). I can hardly believe that.By the time we arrived at home (10:15pm), no longer hungry. Hubby made me eat salad which was less than desirable….(BIG - huge chunks of lettuce with A slice of tomato and an olive).Over spent on food…that probably will get tossed…..Not worth the hassle. What a sad disappointment
Server, Jessica B. was outstanding! The food was delicious, and she was bringing refills on the never ending pasta before asked. I had a fantastic dining experience. It was nice to have a server knowledgeable about the dishes and drinks, smile and joke around, and be right about each of her recommendations. Five stars for service. 5 stars for food.
The service is great here. They really make an effort to accommodate your needs. Staff are very friendly. While this is not great Italian food, it is good food. The quantities are good. They also have some wonderful deals: Endless soup and salad is a great bargain; $5 pasta to go if you pay for a entree; and the endless pasta bowl.Even with the regular food on the menu I always have enough to eat and take home.
Dinner was AMAZINGLY DELICIOUS!!!! Emily was our waitress and she was Awesome!!👍🏼There were 5 of us, all women, we all made changes to our orders to accommodate food allergies. Emily was patient, sweet, pleasant accommodating, professional and super nice!! She read back all of our dinner orders like a BOSS!! All of the food came out fresh, perfect & hot!! She checked on us constantly, put all leftovers in a carryout and made sure myself and my sister got free desert for our birthday!! We went to the Olive Garden on Lakeside circle in Sterling Heights Michigan. When you go, ask for EMILY!!! You will not be disappointed.
During the Covid 19 pandemic you must order on line. Wait for your pickup time arrive and park until its delivered to your vehicle. Wait time is not bad. Everything is packed to take home. The food is piping hot down to the rolls and seasonably seasoned to taste. Too bad theyre not opened. I would be there up front. I Miss it not being open for dine in. Please TIP your servers they do a great job.
The temperature in presentationAmazing. BUT WHEN I ASKED A QUESTION.. May i have Silverware? May i have a water refilled (for my empty glass thats been sitting on the table for 6mins) May I have some Togos to package the Dessert i just ordered on the Ziosk? Know Idk if its illegal maybe just Unethical And unsanitary UNSANITARY..smh.. But to say your going to Remake and order..but just. Heat it and put it in a TOGO..NOT COOL OLIVE GARDEN. I know Because a chicken carbonara does not come with three pieces My Snapchat is public. You can see its the SAME ONE. i k kinda figured something was suspicious when he only tookm that entry and left the other diahes on the table. Maybe restaurants do thos all the time idk what goes on behind the doors..but THIS TIME IT WAS CAUGHT ON TAPE. Ohh and the server..stood over me..not to help with the
So, I told my wife and four kids let’s go support our local restaurants and we chose to go to Olive Garden on Hall Rd. My wife called them and tried to make a reservation, and they told her “We don’t take reservations, first come first serve”. So, we went there, tried to get a table, and the host said “Right now, there’s an hour and a half wait time”. Why didn’t you say that when my wife called you so we didn’t have to waste our time and come to your restaurant? What kind of policy is this that you don’t take reservations and let your customers who are trying to support you come to you and then you tell them to wait for an hour and a half? Or is it because you saw four kids and only two adults and you thought that you won’t make as much profit as four adults would spend, so you just tried to make me leave? By the way, this is the second time that this happened to us in the last three weeks. No more Olive Garden. Not even if you’re the only one. I wish I can rate less than one star
Edit. Removed/Updated my previous rating to current. After speaking with an Olive Garden representative, its clear this was a one time mistake and things have been smoothed over. I appreciate and applaud customer service for handling this so quickly and easily, earning two more regular customers back! Looking forwards to returning and enjoying the time Ill spend there.
I ordered online and system stated food would be ready at 8:13 pm. There were several cars waiting. At 8:30 pm I was the only car waiting for vehicle delivery and decided to go inside. I went to the To Go counter and my food was sitting on the counter and 4-5 waitstaff were just standing and socializing. I had an elderly relative waiting at home and was a little irritated. My food was just handed to me and they continued to do nothing. It really bothered me because I added a tip for nothing! The additional request I made for the salad was incorrect. There was just lettuce (no tomato as requested), dressing, and nothing else! The soup was watered down and too spicy to even finish it.
Took over an hour for the food to arrive. When it arrived it was cold and one dish was completely wrong. This place has gone way downhill. It used to be a great place to eat but not anymore. To further the bad experience, the restrooms are a mess with paper all over the floor and counters. We weren’t the only ones that had a bad experience. Another customer ordered a dish and the meatballs were hard and dry and the pasta over cooked. We know this because he was polite but not quiet about the quality of his food. They did comp is well for the inconvenience.
I dont go to this Olive Garden often because Ive been disappointed in the past but we were celebrating my mom in-law and our server Chantel made the night even more special for her! She was super sweet and gave us some really awesome menu suggestions! I dont want any other server, shes the best!
Can we talk about the service first, because honestly that is a huge thing! Carrie my girl! She was amazing! She took the time to show us the $5 drinks, the endless pasta bowl, and listened to my 6 year old give her strange order. She was absolutely lovely. I made it a point to tell the assistant manager and head manager. I know that they mostly hear complaints. She deserves five stars alone. Now the food..AMAZING! My drinks were awesome. Watermelon martini and a spiked lemonade. Great! Appetizers were hot and fresh. We all got something different. We ( the 2 adults ) got the never ending pasta. It was so good! My daughter loved her food as well. This place is always clean. Staff always sweet and friendly. I can not say 1 bad about this location! I would recommend this place 100 timesover!
We went to this Olive Garden for dinner with family the other night. Our waitress Gabby was excellent! She made sure that our drinks were always full, that we had more than enough breadsticks and salad and that our food was to our liking. The food was also excellent. A huge difference at this Olive Garden compared to the one in Saginaw.
The food came out too fast. I didnt finish one course before the next came. I had soup, appetizer and main course sitting in front of me all within minutes. Great if youre in an extreme hurry but not when youre trying to enjoy a dinner out without the kids. I almost enjoyed a perfect long island but its hard enjoy when food is flying at you.
Had the best experience Ive ever had tonight... Our server was Miranda. It was her first weekend and I never would have guessed it... She did a phenomenal job. Food came out hot and delicious!!! I would recommend Miranda as a server to anyone who wants an amazing dining experience
So I have been going to Olive Garden forever... but the service I received today from a young waitress named Brittany was so amazing that I had to write a review with 5 stars. I go out to eat more than most, from chain restaurants to high end Michelin Star restaurants and Brittanys service was one of the very best. She didnt bombard us with fake niceness and chatter, but was genuine, attentive, and made sure that the experience was amazing! If you dine here, ask to be sat in Brittanys section!
We had my parents 30th anniversary party here. We had about 30 people, and everything was great! The staff was pleasant, prompt, and they did an amazing job getting everyones food at the same time! They were attentive, helpful, and everyone in my party had a great time. Great experience!
I have been a customer of Olive Garden for over 30 years. I really enjoy the soup and salad lunch special. It is truly a win-win. Great atmosphere, good service, and reasonable prices. As far as dinner menu, it’s just ‘Filler Food’ if you compare it to good Italian restaurants. The only item on the dinner on the menu I thought was great was the Steak medallions with Gorgonzola Alfredo, truly excellent. It was replaced after years with Braised beef with Gorgonzola Alfredo. The meat is over-cooked pieces of inexpensive roast beef with a drizzle of a balsamic sauce. Just awful. The accountants are creating the recipes. I am sticking with the soup and salads.
Everything was good today at this restaurant. The soup and salad were perfect. The soup was very hot in the salad was served in chilled bowls. I had some spaghetti with meat sauce ss part of the lunch menu and I will say the portion was quite small. It looked like a side dish. But it was good. Our waitress was fantastic. This is a good Olive garden.
I never go to google to leave a review, however I want to make sure this employee gets recognized. During my visit to Lakeside Olive Garden last night, our server Kenny did phenomenal. As soon as he greeted us, my husband and I could feel his warm and happy energy radiating off of him. He also anticipated our every need, always refilling our drinks and giving genuinely great service. Another reason I want Kenny to be recognized is for his patience, during our visit, a table of old people nearby us was giving Kenny a very hard time. He was handling it very kindly and apologetic, even tho the old man was just looking for reasons to complain. The old couple stood up and the man was yelling rude things to Kenny, I believe a manager eventually got involved and the old couple left. But Kenny handled situation well, and you could tell he was upset with the harsh words the old man said, but Kenny did not let it effect his attitude and we still recieved great service. We told the girls up front how much we enjoyed our waiter Kenny, but now I am hoping any managers can hear it. Keep up the great work Kenny and Lakeside Olive Garden!!
The food was GREAT as always and the server was very attentive. This is Italian food the way its supposed to be. The Chicken Alfredo was absolutely delicious! The salad was very nice and made to order, and the breadsticks were perfect. If you have never been to an Olive Garden you MUST try it!
This time, just about everything was bad. My wife and I were so unhappy about our trip there. No real welcome when we went to the hostess station, just a question about how many in our party. Our waitress was glacial slow and sloppy. Our food was overcooked to severely overcooked. The only good thing was our soup, when we managed to get any. I would not recommend this place around lunch time to anyone!
3 stars because food was good. Server was friendly. I was here tonight with a friend on 8/20/2019 and we had good service all except 1 thing I’m upset about. We got an appetizer which was 7.79, we each got the soup and salad at 11.99 so our bill should of been 31.77 plus tax. I got the bill and it was 41.71 I was not expecting the surprise 7.58 in dipping sauce charges. If that’s what you charge for dipping sauce that’s really crazy but I’m upset because I was not told the sauces were that much extra !!! Had I known we wouldn’t of got them. I wasn’t given the option! Just surprise an extra 7.58 on the bill have a nice day .. you really need to tell people it’s almost 4 bucks for each sauce ! I was not happy about the lack of communication. You assume it’s complimentary or 1 or 2 dollars when the waitress doesn’t mention anything when asking for them... not happy won’t be back .. felt scammed out of money ...
So 1st things first I came on a busy Friday evening so I can cut the staff some slack. The greeters were nice so thats definitely a plus. Had to wait about 15-20 mins which isnt a big deal Im a patient person. On a Friday night during dinner time I knew what to expect. As far as ordering goes I had a waitress who took my order in about 5 mins and for a busy restaurant thats awesome quick service! My waitress was awesome as well she offered me a wine sample (I dont drink but its the thought that counts. The food? Goodness the food was great! I have a love for pasta and this pasta was heavenly! I ordered Alfredo with all the fixings. Which tasted great. Had my steak medium rare and it was a little on the tough side but it still tasted good. All in all for a busy night it was fine dining in as a solo. My waitress saw I didnt like zucchini so she gave me broccoli as a substitute. Great eye!
Great experience. Food was amazing. Our server, Tiffany, treated us like gold. Was super quick on the drink refills, and bread sticks. Main course (chicken & shrimp carbonara) was to die for! Desserts looked amazing too, but I couldnt even finish my entrée. Will gladly do this again if I return to the area.
Food:The food at Olive Garden, definitely has an Italian look and feel, although I still feel like it has an American taste. Overall, good, but wish it tasted more authentic.Service:Was fantastic last time we went, waitress was always on top of everything and was very pleasant.Cost:Seems a little high for 2 entrees and an appetizer at $60, but it was a lot of food, so I made 2 meals out of it. Would rather have a normal portion and pay less though.
Our server needs to be retrained! She was pushing appetizers BEFORE we even were asked about a beverage. I was barely finished with my salad when my dinner came. I had only taken a few bites of my dinner and the server took my bowl of pasta and put in a carryout box!!!!! We were offered dessert right after we received our meals!!!! I have never felt so rushed and unwelcome in a restaurant!!!!!!! If a manager had been available I would have loved to let them know!!!!
Super disappointed. Today is Mother’s Day and we are in quarantine so my expectations are pretty low. I understood when I put in my order this morning that it might be a little crazy at pick up time but I was not expecting to be stuck in a dead stop in front of Pei Way. The only reason we ever moved was because other cars gave up and left. We moved about 10 feet in 20 mins and decided we had to leave as well because our daughter was with us and there was no telling when or if we would even make it to the driveway. I tried to call but the line was busy and I’m sure it was others calling for the same reason. I’m not sure how your online orders work but obviously something went crazy wrong. Again I understand it’s a busy holiday and all but this was super disappointing seeing as my husband never wants to go to your restaurant and I picked it because I love the food and rarely get to go. Please work on your curbside ordering system because holiday or not this should not have been so poorly executed.
I really enjoyed the meal at this location! Daytime staff is superb! Despite the lunch rush, Emily was a wonderful waitress and overall did an excellent job! Food was prompt, cooked thoroughly and the kids enjoyed their meals (especially the little one)! Will definitely return!
We had to wait there for a few minutes to get a table and server was very nice ,our food was good, except my wifes order, chicken was undercooked , she didnt want it, she was offered a free order of her choice, the manger came and apologized, offered her a another order to go or desert, but she didnt want anything, the manger took that order off the bill. great customer service.
This dinner was great! Our family always loves Olive Garden! It has been a while since we were able to go, but the new menu and recipes are wonderful! Our fav, zuppa Toscana was so flavorful! Samantha, our server was excellent! She was attentive and efficient. Very glad we went! Even had leftovers to share with my other son who couldnt come along. Best dinner! It was well worth it!
My mom loves their Fettuccini Alfredo. People are usually really nice here. Larry is a very kind greater. Is nice to be able to get our favorite dishes by take out also. They do skimp on the sauce sometimes and can be a little finicky with coupons, but once things are sorted out then the stuff is good.
I always enjoy myself whenever I come here. The food is great & they have a great selectionof food and drinks. Seems as though every time I come here, they are super busy though. & Sometimes you can be waiting an hour just to be seated. However, every waitress I have had is EXCELLENT. Food is always prepared & sent out in a timely manner. Ill definitely be coming here again. The Salad alone is AMAZING! & Their breadsticks are just as good!
Horrible food. Had no taste or flavor. Bread sticks had to much salt on them. Poor management. The manager could not handle a complaint from a customer and told them to leave. Did not care about what the customer was telling them and rolled his eyes. Last but not least ended up with food poising. It’s a disgrace to the Italian cooking and heritage.
I love Olive Garden! The staff were so friendly and the waiter made sure we were happy with everything all the way up until we left. I had the create-your-own pasta with cavatappi, pesto, and garden veggies. Everything was DELICIOUS! And Im pretty picky with food. We will definitely be coming back here soon.
We go to Olive Garden and usually have great service. But today it sucked we had the worst service ever. The female wanted to tell us about her day Im not there to hear about her day. All we wanted to do is eat. When it takes 25 min to get soup and salad there something wrong. The manager took 25%of the bill for me but my husband is a Vet. so his was already free.
My family and I used to love coming here before the pandemic. We’ve been trying the car side pickup and the food has been horrible. My chicken Alfredo is always dry. Carbanara is burnt. Zeppollis look and taste awful. Better off just waiting to eat in the dining room.
Look I loved the food and the ladys up front but I had one of the worst servers Ive ever had! Joy was her name and I mean when you spent $15 dollars a plate for food you kind of expect a little respect. So we come in there to have a dinner date and instantly we are met with pushy service that doesnt let us look though the menu. Which is not what bothered me. What bothered me was the way she was nicer to the older 2 tables to our left and how she treated us like burdens because we are a younger crowd. I refuse to leave a good tip for someone like that and I probably should have asked to see a manager and got a different server but Im not the type of person to do that. Next time I will.
THANK YOU JOE! I had my 21st birthday party here. I come every year for my birthday since I was 14! But today was awesome our waiter was so sweet and kind.he was super busy with other party’s and always came back to say happy birthday to me. He always made sure we had everything we needed.very patient. He always made sure we had drinks.

2021-12-11Excellent experience With Ashleigh R as our waitress. She made our experience fun and is my all-time new favorite waitress!!! This girl definitely needs a customer service position within the company. She is a very good asset to Olive Garden!!

2022-05-02To be honest, the 5 star is for the soup (specifically zuppa toscana), salad, and breadsticks. The last few times I went and got the fettuccine Alfredo, I was underwhelmed. But I’ve never been displeased with the S,S, and B deal!

2021-12-14I visited the Olive Garden during lunch and ordered the endless soup, salad and bread sticks meal deal. The endless soup, salad, and bread sticks deal is discounted $2 if ordered between 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.I am a vegetarian and selected the minestrone soup. I ordered the salad with no tomato. The soup contained a combination of beans, vegetables, and pasta shells. The salad was made with iceberg lettuce, red onion, hot peppers, black olives, carrots, Italian dressing, and croutons. The bread sticks are usually soft and hot but were not this time. The meal was filling and delicious.

2021-11-09Pandemic dining sure has changed everywhere. We finally got a seat our 3rd day trying and had a 15 min wait, they have incorporated a text alert for seating order. The text link provided a menu so we knew exactly what we wanted by the time we sat down. The food was excellent and absolutely nothing was lacking. Our server, Jonathon U was such a sweetheart and made sure we had anything we needed in an impressive time and with a smile. They were slammed and understaffed but we had a wonderful experience and to me- that really speaks to the staff excellence.

2021-09-12I havent experienced dine-in for a while consistentently. I unfortunately havent had Olive Garden for an even longer time. A lot of that has to do with the pandemic. My experience at this location was nothing short of phenomenal. It was an appreciated return for sure. I was quoted 30 minutes for my party and I to be seated and we were only there for 10 minutes. I knew good things were on the horizon. Once seated Tiffany was assigned to help us out. She was professional, courteous, and helped make our experience enjoyable. She suggested the lasagna bites appetizer, and as you can see I couldnt get the picture fast enough. They were amazing. Keep up the great job.

2022-02-02I have avoided chains and certain places because it’s usually lacking since the pandemic but wow, did they really surprise me. This location is incredible. Spent 53$ on take out and they included every extra we asked for, order correct, hot, ready at the time it was said and the person who brought it out was so friendly. This is an amazing location with great people whom I appreciate so much. I ordered takeout after a long hard day to make life easier and I was so so so pleasantly surprised. Thank you so much team. I will be taking your survey so your company knows how hard you were working on a Tuesday night!

2021-11-04In the lunch they have better prices but a little smaller portions, but you can have the soup or salad and will be enough food for a good price. Shrimp scampi for 9,99. The food was good, service was good. For the price was very good!

2022-06-18Waitress was slow at getting our food. Forgot the cheese for the salad and seemed like she didnt want to be bothered with coming back to see how everything was and if we needed anything else. I would go back as long as I have a decent Waitress or waiter. Food is great. Only at the Sterling Heights one. Van Dyke is the worst Ive ever had. Dont go there.
