Ollies Bargain Outlet in other cities:
Awesome store for the frugal shopper like myself.TONS of savings, sales & mark-downs in general. I got a ton of spices (large shakers) for my kitchen at 99¢ each, as well as snacks for the kids also at 99-1.99. My wife got her shampoo/conditioner that she normally gets at Walmart for a dollar less here, but twice the size. A bunch of savings on laundry and kitchen items over Walmart as well. (Pods, cleaners, soap, etc..)My favorite section, was their rugs. The rugs I needed for my living room & dining area, would have cost me near 500 at another store, but they were less than 300 here! And, with a much greater selection & variety.EXTRA - There is also a huge display of Yankee candles for $7 each, they have clothes, kids & toys section, They have a great book selection for both kids & adults.
Theres a LOT of Very Nicemerchandise here and a lot of cheaply made as well. Definitely keep your receipts. Most of the employees are friendly and knowledgeable. The only reason I took off one star is because you cant just go in,grab one or two things and go, Because of the sheer quantity of merchandise, you really need some time to give Ollies the appreciation it d deserves. 👍😄
The place was very cool got to see a couple things and they help me out with some stuff and in my opinion they all are good workers theyre all pretty chill thats what I like I like going into a vape store and being able to have good vibes you know I saw these rolling trays and I was like damn those are pretty cool
Good place to find bargains but the 28th st store is always a mess so only go if their flyer has something Im looking for .Do make sure and sign up for an Ollies perks card for additional savings .As of July 3 , 2022 the are still carrying a nice variety of K cup coffee in different blends and the price cant be beaten even at Sams Club or Costco
Had a good selection. But when we got to register there was two cashiers. One handling a difficult customer. The other running over there acting like the customer was trying to cheat the store. She kept going back over and ignoring the customers she had. Spent at least 10 to 15 minutes while everyone else had to wait in line. Was very aggravating to everyone a few just left.
We had been looking forward to going to lollies since they came to Grand Rapids. I had went to one out of state & loved it. The disappointment from this location was huge. Not only do the store workers have mouthy disrespectful attitudes but the manager could have cared less. The things that obviously not people friendly worker said she should have been fired & walked out on the spot. I will not return to this location & have been in touch with corporate & until they clean up their act & their workers mouths they will not have my business & that means my family...friends & whoever will listen because if my grandkids would have been with me the outcome would have been drastically different. Not a place to take children.
Wife loves visiting Ollies for hair Dye and other hair needs. Always find good deals on cookware and such items. Store seems to have a little of everything and changes with the variety of shipments and various buy outs have different things. Always worth a look when out that way.
If you consider wandering around super cheaply priced stuff - from food to rugs - a fun way to spend some time, Ollies is for you. Kind of a Michigan version of building nineteen for you transplanted New Englanders. Nice people and really some very useful stuff at great prices. And nice people!
This store has EVERYTHING!!! Prices are ridiculously Cheap its Like a Big Lots on steroids 😂 Glad it was almost closing time when I decided to check them out cause I would of been in there for hours and spending to much money!! Deff check them out in Rogers Plaza Mall ya wont regret it
My daughter and I shopped here last week. 2 of the cashiers were having a loud disruptive argument. They were rude and angry and involved customers in their dispute. This went on for at least 10 minutes as they shouted at one another across the store. We chose a 3rd cashier, but as soon as we began unloading items, she began a bitter diatribe about her scheduled breaks, and how the other employees got more breaks than she did.Not one employee behaved in a professional manner- or even in socially correct behavior. It was a shocking display of rudeness and childish activity- more so because this was going on IN THE WORKPLACE.Will not shop there again.
The place was great and they had a lot of items choose from. The one reason that I didnt give 5 stars was because the ice cream machine was broken and the busser did not come and take plates off of our table until we were completely done and she brought the bill. Also the floor was pretty horrible. If you can get past that the food was great it was really hot and all the vegetables and everything were fresh.
Too disorganized for me, you can get most things they sell here comparably or better priced on Amazon, Home Goods Target, Big Lots etc. when they have a sale. I did notice a huge rug selection though.I got an ad in the mail and thought Id have a quick scour through, but it was way too much work to find anything good and a bit junky.
I walked in and wanted to buy everything in the store! Prices didnt seem to be a great bargin on many things but there were some deals. Store was neat even with the amount of product on the floor. Staff was courteous and helpful. Hard to know where anything is from a product location standpoint due to the bast array of items.
Love this place. I could spend all day here looking at the stuff they have. Some seasonal things, like Halloween stuff that the stores cant sell, because its not Halloween anymore, they also have household things, like carpet and laminate flooring. Cheaper then what you will find other stores. Not huge discounts, but definitely discounted. I came from Battle creek, where the first store was, now that there is one in GR, Im supper excited!
There are never any shopping carts available when you come here. The store is always a mess and I would seriously deem it a fire hazard. Their management sucks at scheduling people and will have one register open on Saturday’s. It’s common sense managing staffing during peak times. The prices are good on things but it isn’t worth it to wait 30 minutes in line to check out and then receive attitude once you’re at the check out.
Flea market atmosphere, but clean, even if it is a bit cluttered. Prices seem to be a good deal on most items. Of particular note are the huge books (especially childrens books), board games, and... For some reason, rugs (everything from little throw rugs up to I saw 24 foot remnant rolls). There is a good amount of name brand items. Its worth a look!
Great store with a lot of options for everyday house cleaning, decorating, toiletries, auto, etc. Cashiers are understaffed and lines can be long. There is Always the unmotivated people hanging out front of the store but they never bother me or bother to apply for a job. So overall, solid store for a range of stuff!
This place is awesome. I went on Sunday afternoon and yes it was messy but I dont blame that on the employees. I blame that on the shoppers who take things off the shelves to look and then never put them back properly. There were great deals everywhere. Some things were better deals than others but you cant expect them to mark everything down 70%. Youre definitely not paying full price and they are still great quality because they are what you would have bought full price originally. They are just from stores that went bankrupt. The aisles are narrow so maneuvering can be tricky but thats to be expected when theres tons of items. I hope to go back soon without my children to Christmas shop!
The most surprising thing about this store is that it is much bigger on the inside than it appears from the outside. There are some very good deals to be had, but most are simply a little less than most other places. The variety is also surprising--automotive, health and beauty aids, floor coverings, small kitchen appliances, toys, and books among other things. All the emphasis on Ollie everywhere makes me feel a little like Im in someone elses personal space--a little weird. But quirky has its own charm.
Visited there for the first time on 08-29-2018. This is the kind of store one would have to visit often as items are bound to be turned over fairly quickly here. The store could have been organized differently to be more efficient and logical, but I am finding this with other stores as well, so I should offer that I am willing to consult. That being said, one will not find any high-end nor will one find any luxury items/brands at Ollies. It is mainly for bargain seekers and some bargains can be had if one checks every aisle. Being that it took me over 30-minutes to get there from my location, it is unlikely that I will shop there frequently.
Prices are fine and low but the staff are slow, and I usually dont write bad reviews, but we had at least 15 people in line and only one lane open. I bought one thing at it took me a half an hour just to pay. Only go during the day when there is no one there and if you have plenty of time.
This place has something for everyone...great place to go when you want to start a kid out for college...prices are very good. Lots of things to choose from. They do need to hire more help though..to keep the store neat and items put back. A bit cluttered to push a cart around.
Ive been to several Ollies and they never disappoint. I was able to get a Craftsman 165 piece tool set for 40% less than Lowes or Ace prices (Muskegon location, which is very nice and well kept)! also got Kobalt large wrenches, Husky and OEM brand tools, and Reese towing equipment, a ton of name brand Diesel fuel additive products, and name-brand snack foods for the kids. The entire back wall was Varathane and name brand stains and finishes at a fraction of the big-box store prices. Overall, Ive loved Ollies and the prices for a while.Selection varies by store, so shop around and save some big bucks. Plus they have a killer rewards program! I was able to get a Shark Duo factory refurbished with a 90 day warranty and with a 30% off coupon, bringing it down to 1/3 of the cost new! Plus they often do 10, 15, 20, and 30% off coupons for entire purchases or individual items! A bargain lovers dream!
Just moved in to this area. Some cashier is awesome, some is bad. Just had a bad experience when I checked out and asked the cashier about why I did not receive the 15% off coupon after I created my profile. Her attitude is rude and keep saying I already told you the answer instead of helping me find out why. I don’t think I am shopping there again.
A warehouse like store selling, discontinued, overstock, refurbished, or returned items at a discount. They have some staples that you can always count on them having in stock such as cleaning supplies, paper products, and rugs (yes rugs), otherwise the fun is in what you may find. Many lawn products, toys, hardware, small appliances, and furniture usually in stock.
It was my first time there, it was ok reminds me of TJMaxx or something another place where u need time to search through things. Prices were not that low. If you know how to shop and price things and you shop locally you know theres better pricing elsewhere on a lot of there goods. But, I did find a couple of small deals on some items that I purchased.
Store has been open maybe 2 months. It’s a disaster. Hard to shop becuase it’s likely hasnt been recovered properly in those 2 months. Shipment is all over the floor in the aisles and in the way. Prices are fair, some deals, some not. If you don’t mind shopping where other sloppy careless people shop for deals this is your place. I’d rather drive to a different location in muskegon to shop. It was at least shoppable.Management needs to step in and re elevuate people on staff daily and maybe just have them focus on getting that store clean. It looked like a tornado hit it.
Big wholesale store! Lots to choose from. They have a huge toy section for Christmas I’m planning on hitting . Overall the staff was friendly, the store was a little Cluttered but you’ll find that in these big wholesale stores. They usually have more products then shelf space for everything
Sunday Sunday Sunday are three days in a row, but with that being said, Ollies Bargain Outlet is the place to go! Theyve got bargain dishes and bargain soap bargain carpets bargain books bargain housewares bargain lawn equipment bargain so much bargain stuff that I cant keep listing bargain things. Just go check them out! Believe me, Ollies Bargain Outlett, all day long, forever and ever, Ollies Bargain Outlet! Bargain!
I like it, my wife LOVES it. She always finds something to buy, and it always saves me money compared to the prices of other stores. Now, dont go expecting Gucci beach towels and Lil Yachty (whos a has-been, 15- minuter anyways. ) Candle way melters! What youll get here is semi-solid brands at wholesale prices, since they buy the over produced items from factories directly, without going through a wholesale supplier , like most companies have most stores do. Despite that , Ollies is a good store to save some cheddah. STILL, the women that work there are slow, I can never find pop that I, NOT MY WIFE (LOL) , wants, and the girls could care less about up-selling, pop pop, says the armadillo.
Ollies in different states have different things for sale, some regions will have an item that Ollies in other regions dont have.. as a professional driver I can visit Ollies all over the east half of the country and bring back unique items to Michigan. its really wonderful to have an Ollies in Grand Rapids Michigan . Ive been shopping Ollies for several years in other states and now we have our own.. yay
Certainly not impressed with the store its a lot of odds and ends some things you can find for a Lexus price if you get a coupon and they have a sale on something you might do well Im back used large area rugs otherwise its just a store full of odds and ends the prices are not that low

2022-04-12Ollies is one of those stores you hope sticks around for many years to come. There are some basics that you can almost always count on being there and being cheaper than everywhere else, as well as new items stocked weekly. You never know what you might find when you visit, so its always nice wise to check the full store out (dont worry, it isnt that big) and see if there is anything that catches your eye. It is a great place to find a quick toy gift for a kiddo or a book to read. Cool selection of random comics and graphic novels. I personally have added many new ones to my shelf from here.Check them out if you havent already. Join the discount program if you want (Ollies Army I think its called). Hope this helped.

2020-09-06Friendly folks! Theyve got a very eclectic selection of stuff that turns over regularly. All of it is well priced. Theyve got a card you can get to really save a ton of money. Every staff member I ran into was all smiles and happy to help. The only negative is that its a little disheveled, but that doesnt bother me at all. The savings and selection are well worth it.

2022-02-08Ollies prices are fantastic. I got there to get snacks for the kids and shampoo and conditioner. I read a lot and I have found several books to complete a collection I had started and you cant beat their prices on books. Their stock is always changing so it is always worth going there. Especially during the holidays.

2019-02-08Ollies is an awesome discount store. Overstock, etc. The best bargains are the books! A great place for graphic novels, teen novels, etc. Amazing prices. They carry just about everything. Stuff is discounted anywhere from 10% to 80% off retail. Worth taking some time to explore. The store is a bit cramped and in disarray, but thats to be expected at this kind of store.

2022-03-13I’ve been to OIlie stores in other states Florida and Pennsylvania. This store doesn’t come close to those stores. It’s just filthy it’s disgusting. I was so excited GR had got a store but not anymore. I might not ever go back it was so bad. It’s giving the other Ollie’s a bad name.
