The technician who showed up was nice. However I called them Monday morning, they gave me an appointment for the same day with a two hour period, and at the end of the two hour they called and said they don’t have a technician. They advertise same-day appointments if you call before noon, which is false advertising, as in the example above. They gave me another appointment for two days later.
Experience is Ok..Showed up initial Inspection. We have had Flying Ants. Told they are Carpenter Ants!came back on Schedule first Application, Hopefully it will work.My only Issue Is He required First Payment before He started service. We are Homeowners , Here for 27 years.. . he stated some People Run..Typically we pay after we are Happy & Job Complete!! stated Customer Policy..let’s See how it all works!!TT
Nice enough people, but the service is barely an upgrade from buying your own stuff and spraying yourself. Numerous NUMEROUS times I asked for them to view either the attic or crawl space due to recurring issues despite service, and they forgot their suit, forgot this or that equipment. Very cookie cutter approach to pest issues. Now they hound me for their measly quarterly payment because we cancelled like a day past the cut off. Theyll get paid, but I just had to warn people.. its like hiring a Walmart, asking for custom service..you wont get it.
The gentleman came out. He was professional. I showed him where the bees were flying in and out of my deck. He explained what he was going to do. Once he was finished, he told me that I would need a second treatment and the reason why. We processed the payment on-site. We set up for the second treatment the following week. It took about 20 minutes for everything. I was pleased and thought the guy who came out was professional and efficient.
I had first contacted Orkin for a wasp nest in our attic. They were incredible to work with. Polite, knowledgeable, good cost and gave a window where more applications were free if needed. A month later I ended up with a yellow jacket nest. Same great care. Both issues completely fixed and almost a year later we still have no issue. I have been so impressed that I now have them service my home monthly. Our specialist Bill is fantastic. Super friendly and jovial. Hes been very helpful each month with any issues we see and I cant see myself ever not being an Orkin customer.
Brandon was exactly what (in my opinion) a service professional should be - kind, communicative, professional, thorough, and courteous. I was hoping for just plain nice, and he exceeded my expectations. He was a little late and let me know he would be (I didn’t care), and I’m guessing that it’s because he gets requested often and his schedule was busy. I haven’t needed any type of tiny critter control for two decades, but when I called, they were able to meet my needs, both in time and cost. I appreciate it. Thank you Orkin. And thank you Brandon. They are lucky to have you.
Today I happen to be home from work early and an Orkin service man by the name of Bill from the Auburn Hills Branch came by to perform mosquito control-He was so friendly personable and concerned about the quality of our outdoor life since applications have been taken place. He really probed with questions to make sure that in today’s application he was getting problematic areas, he listened carefully and reassured that those areas would be addressed. I appreciate workers like Bill who are not afraid of interacting with homeowners getting to know them and diligently making sure that he provided top-notch service. I wish Bill was our all time serviceman-really appreciate Orkin and their staff greatly.
Orkin came in and removed all of the old insulation from our house and replaced it with new insulation. They also sealed up any areas outside of the house that animals could enter in. The team was very good. They kept me informed and answered any questions that I had. They did an excellent job!
Orkin offered a good deal and a quick response time that they followed through on. The service technician was professional and friendly. They gave me easy instructions for preparation and aftercare to maximize effectiveness of their treatment. They did guarantee the service for 30 days. I am very pleased.
Tech failed to show for the first scheduled appointment. Office was closed, spoke to someone in India who was no help. Spoke to someone in the US in the morning, who explained what happened, and said that a tech would be out between 2 and 6, and gave us a discount. He even said he would contact the tech to be sure he knew. Tech called around ten to six, and arrived around 6:20. Once here, he was terrific. He was friendly, professional, knowledgeable and efficient. It was frustrating to have to wait so long to finally get someone here, but Im happy that he did get the job done. I give Orkin administration, dispatch, phone service 2 stars, but the tech gets 5.
Pavel is the greatest technician. He was so thorough in trying to find the origin of my mini beetle infestation. He will return in a few weeks to see if he was successful in treating the affected areas. He even loved on my Golden Retriever, which made me & my dog very happy!
I was disappointed to find out that my original Orkin Rep (JP) was no longer with the company. He was excellent! He explained the process well, answered my questions and was always on time.My new rep DJ had patience with me as I vented about no longer having JP. DJ listen intently as I explained my new problem - moths. He checked the areas where I was having a problem and placed traps. He placed a treatment along the outside of my home. I look forward to his follow up visit in a week to check on my moth issue. I feel confident that DJ will give me excellent service.
When I called to inquire of service, the rep was very personable and friendly. Appointment was set the next morning. The tech arrived promptly and was very courteous, respectful and clear on what was needed (carpenter bees and wasps). I was advised that he would also be following up in the next week or so. Service is on par.
The service representative who came out was very professional and courteous. It started raining soon after he arrived, so Ill need to wait to see.how effective the treatment was. He said theyll most likely need to return for a second treatment because of the rain and because my bee problem was in the wall of my house.
We have been very happy with the service that Orkin provides. The mosquito spray in the summer has made it so we able to use our patio all day. Whenever Ive had a problem pop up they have always been very responsive in coming out quickly and taking care of it. Also, giving advice on what we can do landscaping around the house to cut down on field mice and other pest. Very happy customer.
Inspection went well found the source of the problem and was able to identify other sources to help keep home protected, same day treatment, friendly. I give my inspector at 10 star rating because he made me feel at ease for the first time in my new unit I needed that.
Horrible service, horrible customer service. The exterminator’s at this place hate their jobs and take their frustrations out on customers trying to patronize this company. The guy they sent out to my home came with no intentions to do anything and made any and every excuse not to do what was needed. Please dont waste your time with this company. Their service is horrible
Service is courteous and thorough. I am reminded of appointments by text and email in advance...and just as easy to reschedule if needed. I have been happy with the service and have noticed a decline in problematic areas.Added August 2021: Called to have a small hornet’s nest removed from my mailbox…no charge, it’s part of the service. Took care of spraying and removing the nest within minutes!
This Winter, my parents were subject to some uninvited guests. A couple of squirrels gained access to the space between the ceiling and the second floor. I called Brian R. At the Auburn Hills location, and he met me there in 2 hours for an inspection. Brian was very courteous, and explained exactly what was happening, how it happened, and options to remedy the situation. I gave him the ok, and not even two days later, the squirrels are hitting the road, and humanely. I will recommend Brian and his crew to anyone that is in need of pest control.
Chris was friendly and very knowledgeable. He answered all of our questions and made sure we understood all of our options. He was very patient as we worked together to decide on our best option for treatment and then got us scheduled for the treatment as quickly as possible.
Horrible customer service. I hired them for a mice issue at one of my rental properties and the inspector did a no call no show on the first inspection, then after the inspector came and gave me a quote I agreed and we set up the service to start with first treatment the following Monday the man (Brian) again did not show up. I had to make several phone calls to the corporate office to finally get service started. It took 5 weeks from my first call to get the first treatment done.
The Orkin professional that comes to our home is always courteous of our time. He give us a heads up when he will arrive and when he gets there he’s very polite and he ask questions. Once he has completed his task he gives us feed back, and ask do we have any other concerns. Honestly he is the Best we’ve had in decades. True Professional.
At first I wasn’t happy when they missed my appointment window but they arrived shortly after. They explained how busy they are then got to work. The tech listened and provided a solution. Technicians are always on time and very knowledgeable and professional. We had a horrible gnat problem after having our septic pipes replaced last summer. After trying multiple failed attempts of trying to resolve this on our own, we finally called Orkin and within days started seeing a difference. We have continued to use Orkin monthly and this spring/summer have noticed a drastic improvement in the absence in spiders and ants as well.
Glad to see Orkin uses technology to keep customers informed. I received an email saying the tech will be here shortly, another right before he arrived, and another that included the evaluation after he left. Also got a survey via text.The tech was professional, knowledgeable and thorough. We sign-up for their every-other-month preventative service, which includes a return if we ever see bugs in between treatments.Thoroughly pleased so far. Theyve been in business 118 years so they must be doing something right!
I have had the same professional handling my home for years. He is dedicated, knowledgeable and extremely reliable. We trust and rely on his recommendations.. Even though we have moved, Orkin enabled us to continue with the same service rep. Have very few bug problems at our home. Great company!
I explained the problem that I was having. Then the technician explained everything he was going to do and how. He went over payment plans and which one would be the best for my particular situation. Papers were signed. He went to work. He was extremely polite and very friendly. Answered any question that I had. I was extremely impressed with the service. I have friends that have used Orkin and they all have been very satisfied with the service.
We have been using Orkin for quite some time after several failed attempts by other pest providers. Our service technician Ed is so helpful and thorough. He always checks in to ensure we arent experiencing any of our previous pest problems and will come out at any time to assist if we have a new issue.
Our tech was amazing. He was punctual, very friendly. Clean. Efficient. Polite. Josh called within the window time given and said he was on his way. He arrived within minutes. He introduced himself. He did not offer to shake my hand, which I am currently thankful for, due to Covid 19. He explained his steps and went about his work in a quick and efficient manner. I could go on about how happy we are with Joshs visit, but Id probably go on way too long. Josh is great at his job, and should be commended for his work. Before he left, Josh explained what he did and urged us to call him if the issue returned. Props to Josh on a job well done.
I had a great experience with Orkin, my Technition Matthew B was great!! Professional Courteous Knowledgeable and very Pleasant and friendly. They came out the very next day after calling explained everything on the call as well reiterated the SAME information by technician. I’m Happy and Very satisfied with the service I received and would recommend them!!!
Orkin was not supposed to be here until 2 o’clock this afternoon and our wonderful professional guy, Josh, showed up at 11:00 AM we were so happy! We had a big yellow jacket problem he spent an hour here in the hot heat taking care of everything and teaching us about yellow jackets and what will happen or not happen! What a great value for such an awesome professional and the job he did! Josh is incredibly awesome!
Scheduled two appointments two days in a row for a consultation about possible wasps in our attic. Company no-showed the first day. I called again the next morning and was given an apology and another two hour time block with a promise that they would come. I waited for them again, and again they did not show. This was an incredibly frustrating waste of my time.
We planned on having pest control service for a while when we moved into our new to us house in 2018. It’s almost 30 years old, wasn’t well maintained, previous owners had pets and the property backs up to woods. At our inspection we found out that our attic had been the home for bats and mice for a looooong time. There was a chance that bat bugs were present so we decided to have all insulation remediated and everything closed up before moving in. Orkin discovered the mess initially and though we got several quotes we went with them to do the job. They were great at communicating, prompt, clean, professional, and super helpful. All of them. We’ve had several of their employees here for the insulation project and after for follow up. I have no complaints whatsoever. We’ve recently discovered new bat droppings under one of the previous entry points and they came within a couple of days to check the entire attic. No issues fortunately!Now, was that whole ordeal cheap? No. Definitely not. But the service and follow up we’ve been receiving has been perfect so it was definitely worth it (for peace of mind - in my opinion).

2022-05-06I didn’t even realize how many more services Orkin offers besides pest control! My brother had Orkin encapsulate his crawl space, and I had them come out for Sill remediation in my basement. Darrian, the inspector who came out to give me a quote, was extremely knowledgeable, and took the time to listen and understand what I needed. He got me on the schedule quick and the guys who came out to complete the work were very fast and professional. I’m extremely happy and it looks a thousand times better, and was very affordable. Highly, highly recommend!

2022-05-06Everybody at Orkin I spoke to was VERY NICE and VERY PROFESSIONAL. The person performing the job(Rashad) was VERY nice maintained his professionalism, and answered all of my questions.I use this company to do preventative ant & bug treatment because they guarantee there service and are willing to come back out to backup there existing treatment or if you have another problem. Ive had nothing but good experiences with this company.

2022-08-04We did several services. Outsider problem did not go away. The mosquito treatments made no change. My husband called and talked to a supervisor twice about not being satisfied with the service and that we would like to cancel out subscription. The most we got out of the supervisor is, you got service so we are still charging you for next month. I dont have a problem paying for service done but there was no sort of apology or willingness to correct the problem. The technician Pavel was very nice. We had no problem with the technician. Disappointing when the person in charge, doesnt care that the customer is having an issue.

2022-06-21They seem professional so far. They were the best company to go with as far as price and how frequently they come out. Compared to other companies I’ve talked to they seemed the most trustworthy. I also like that with Orkin there’s no contract or cancellation fees. Other companies were more expensive and not so transparent about their prices and services. I was told however that they used a specific product for ant removal, to kill the colonies and the man who came said they could no longer use it, which I was not happy about since we are surrounded by ants! The man who came over didn’t really inspect everything like I thought he would so I wasent too thrilled but I did like him. They just came out today so I cannot yet say how effective treatment has been but I’m expecting it to be effective since they are a reputable company. I do like that they will continue to spray until problems have been fixed!

2022-07-30While I very much appreciate the responsiveness and willingness to help, I’ve struggled with a problem relating to servicing and charges. For some reason I am not being communicated with as frequently now, and have been given and charged for services that I don’t believe I requested. I was woken up (my neighbors too I’m sure) by an 8:30am Saturdays mosquito treatment that I didn’t even want it know was scheduled. I’m feeling hounded by the services and to pay money I didn’t originally agree to. Im pretty frustrated.
