Comment: Our 2023 new Kenworth T880 D-rated in Stockton, California about 70 miles from our home base. This left us with no choice but to drop it off at the dealer in French Camp, after they informed us it would be a week before they could diagnose (we needed that truck back asap) we called Zach at Pape Kenworth San Leandro. He had us get the truck to his shop immediately. Zach was able to get diagnosis for us same day and was able to get the def sensor replaced by the next morning. Zach kept us in the loop the whole time and we were able to get our truck back on the road, within 24 hrs of it being there. This industry needs more guys like Zach.

Comment: Phoned & checked to see if they had the parts I needed (& they did!) I was approx 3 hrs away. When I got there it took 40 min to get the parts, thats crazy!!! 2 service/mechanic people just standing & talking for most of the 40 min. It was not busy in there.

I drove 70 miles, when I got to place they refused to change oil saying that they dont have filet, then that technician is not available. Waste of time, horrible customer service. Please do yourself a favor and dont come to this horrible place.

Comment: We brought our truck there with something wrong with steering. And they sent us away as if nothing wrong. Saying we needed new tires. We went to tire place. First thing the guy said for a tire to wear that way something wrong with wheel bearings or shocks. We call back to why wsnt fixed and said they didnt have the wheel bearing in stock.So instead of being honest they sent us away with our company thinking we crazy. Why not be honest and say part not there want to wait or get fixed later.

When I arrived, they told me I got bad information (even though I had a reference number given to me by the person on the phone) and they charged me $40 more for the parts. If I wouldve known that would be the case, I wouldve gotten the parts elsewhere. Very dishonest to do to someone.

Comment: Im currently driving a newer KWt680, the fellow at the shop counter where I could drop my trailer most hassle free location, then put an OBD on my truck. Took me to talk with supervisor And in about 3 hours (theyre quite busy) got me in a bay, and pointed me to the truckers lounge. Each time I bugged them about progress I was met with an accurate update as well as a forecast to when they would be finished Another 3-4hrs later, handed me back the keys and said its under warranty.. they did good by me 😊

Comment: Just a little ridiculous to pay $1000 fro a dn wheel seal to be replaced. Truck was in the shop for over 5hrs for a maximum 2.5 hr job. Plus the only spot to drop a trailer is on a pretty busy street where you risk a parking ticket. And when I question them about the repair bill they said welcome to California. A good way to get a bad rep but apparently they dont care about steady business and or repeat business.

Comment: Customer service here is top notch. i had some issues with one our our fleet trucks and had been back for more diagnostic evaluations several times, and they have stepped up to service their customer. As a lot of us owners know, the product we have to deal with in this business is sometimes sub-par, thats why warranty is so important. But knowing you have shops like Nor-Cal Kenworth to go to, it becomes more comforting to know they understand your issues. highly recommend this shop and their staff.

Comment: 6 hours in the shop, $793.99 total, $537 in labor, to replace a air brake chamber. I just had the opposite side replaced for $215.26 at a petro. Why the price difference? The mechanic had the experience to do the job. I understand that some times mechanics make mistakes that make the job take longer. It is common practice in the industry to charge a reasonable labor rate because the problem was not the truck, it was the mechanic. This is my second norcal dealership experience like this, the other was in Sacramento and cost me $1400.I would advise going anywhere else besides any norcal kenworth dealership. Because I am a norcal local, I have decided that I will not purchase a brand new kenworth like I was planning, because I know for a fact that I would not be able to rely on this chain of service bays to keep me on the road in a profitable direction. It is highly disappointing that an owner operator cannot have a trusting professional relationship with his local dealer.Goodbye, Kenworth. You have lost a customer for life.

Comment: OTR driver needed engine work. Of course theres a little bit of a wait to get your truck in the shop. Duh!The service staff has been nothing but exemplary, very helpful, very professional, very knowledgeable.The work on my truck was great. Kudos to the mechanics!While I waited, I watched TV in their driver lounge. Clean, nice leather seating, some magazines, soda machine. No coffee? What is the deal with that? Thats a fail. Seriously.Wish they had trailer parking. I had to leave my trailer out on the street and got a parking ticket. There is a crane company that takes up most of the parking with all of their trailers so there isnt much available. Who knows why they dont park in their own yard?

Comment: I came to this location to buy some parts for one of the jobs I was working on this week. I called them to see if they have the parts in stock. I was very happy to find that they did. When I arrived I found a parking spot though there wasnt a whole lot of extra parking spot in the parts section. There was nobody in line so I got helped immediately which was refreshingly nice. Sometimes I go in there and theres a long line but theres no Rhyme or Reason to win the line is long or short. Just the luck of the draw I guess. I had a quote number so they had my part available as promised. I was in and out of there in 10 minutes. I will definitely take my business back to these guys again

This location is Not far from food and convenience store. If you have to drop your trailer on the road, DONT DROP IT IN FRONT OF PENSKE ON THE SAME STREET! I THINK THEY CALLED AND COMPLAINED SO I GOT A TICKET, instead keep it as close to KW as possible
