I have been dealing with Parsons Heating and Cooling for the last 15 years. They are very nice people there. When my furnace went out in january, I called them. They were out within a few hours. I needed a new furnace. They installed the furnace the same day and I had my heat back on. I have recommended them to many of my family members.
Called Parsons at 835 am was lucky enough to have service guys by 9:35 am, new capcitor replaced on an expected 90° day..WOW my dog is very happy too.Thank You for the quick great service to Jessica, Keith & his coworker!!!
We needed to have our humidifier looked at as it hasnt been working for a while. We thought perhaps we needed a new as it is old or maybe it could be repaired. We were prepared for the worse. The guy who came and I apologize for forgetting his name noticed a lose wire. He fixed it and said hed only charge us the service fee of $75.00. We paid him $100.00 and were very pleased. We would suggest Parsons to anyone and would use them again.
I had three estimates done for a new air conditioner unit to be put in and Parsons is by far the fairest price. They were extremely efficient, professional, clean, and friendly. I would recommend this company to anyone who is looking for fair prices and high quality work!! Thank you Parsons!!
I had Parsons out at my house on Monday afternoon and by the next day at 1:30pm I had heat again from a whole new install. This is the second time we’ve used this company. Keith came out same day, diagnosed the problem right away and fixed it with doing some “extras” also. Our furnace was leaking water all over, he found the clogged pipe and cleared it out. He even put in a pipe and got us a funnel to keep it clean with bleach so we can maintain it to avoid it happening again. My uncle has used this company for years and recommend them. Great service. Will definitely use in the future
Edit: Jessica who normally answers the phones apologized for the inconvenience and made sure people came out. The techs that came out were friendly and helpful. Unfortunately they were unable to complete the work but they were honest about it and did not charge me for an estimate. Giving 2 stars because of the rude person on the phone earlier.Extremely rude and unprofessional. I was told I had the first appointment of the morning for an estimate. I called them 30 minutes after they were supposed to show up and they said I wasn’t scheduled until 2 that day. I took the morning off of work for this estimate and when I told them it was unacceptable I was rudely hung up on and they will not return my calls. Do not waste your time with this unprofessional company.
Keith and Nick came out on October 24, 2018, after I called Parsons just the day before. I was in a bind after having flown in from AZ to work on a 60-year-old house I am selling after our mom passed last December. I was flying out the next day but needed the heat exchanger inspected for the City of DH.Keith and Nick arrived on time and were exceptional in their knowledge. They allowed me to watch them work. Any questions I asked were answered thoughtfully and intelligently. I appreciate it when I hire someone for a job and they not only complete it, they go above and beyond the scope of the work to instruct me. Due to their patience and consideration I will be able to pass on some helpful information to the new homeowner because Keith diagnosed the problem of why the system’s humidifier didn’t work.If you want a job done thoroughly, and you enjoy being treated with respect as a customer, Parsons Heating, Cooling & Electrical should be your No. 1 choice.

Returning home from work to a freezing house is never a good way to end the day! When this happened last week, I made a call to Parson Heating & Cooling and they sent someone over that night (it was after hours).Unfortunately, the repair would have been far too much money to throw at a very old furnace (over 25 years old). So, after discussing my options with the owner, I decided to go with a new high efficiency furnace. It was installed the next day and even qualified for a $250.00 rebate from DTE. With some information I supplied, the office staff took care of the DTE paperwork and had it submitted within days!!Overall, I have been very pleased with the entire experience. I will be calling them again as soon as my A/C calls it quits!!I would recommend Parson Heating & Cooling to all!!

I have to say they arrived when they said they would. Very clean. Made sure my furnace was running and I was happy before they left. These guys are the GREAT! Our wall furnace went out and everyone I called acted like I was bothering them. I call Persons and they here helpful, pleasant to talk to and came out Super Bowl Sunday! Who else would do that? On top of that, they had what it took to fix my 50+ yr old unit. Not only is this who Im calling everytime, but its who Im going to recommend to my friends and family! First and foremost the customer service is very lacking. Ive missed countless appointments with Parsons because they will briefly knock and then leave. They do not call, wait, or even knock a second time which means if you are in the bathroom or changing a diaper you are screwed. They give you 5 hour appointment windows but neither call when they are on their way or when they actually arrive. And rescheduling is sometimes weeks out! The woman who answers the phone, Mary, is very short with you when you make any complaints or ask for the techs to come back after they left 5 minutes ago!That all being said they are simply not good contractors. I rent my condo and for the past 3 years this is the company my landlord chooses to use for heating and cooling services. The second-floor in my home had never been cooled or heated properly. My DTE bills were always skyhigh. I believe the thermostat was constantly pushing out cool air because the house would never reach the appropriate temperature. The first floor would be freezing and the second floor would be unbearably hot causing my kids to sleep downstairs in the summers. FINALLY my boyfriend couldnt take it anymore and called a different company to come out and check everything. After being in my basement for 10 minutes the contractor said there were multiple leaks and the coolant was low. After a 30 minute fix everything in my house worked correctly. After 3 YEARS of quarterly visits from Parsons and them saying everything was fine just change the filters more often. So yeah, 1 star. I wish I could give them zero.
Parsons was awesome. tech nick d came after hours and helped fix our air. he could only do a quick fix to get us going, but came back the next morning to ensure he completed the job. absolutely professional and all around fantastic. didnt expect the great level of service that was provided. thank you parsons and nick

I had a company out to repair my air condition and was told not repairable have to buy new..My neighbor told me to call Parsons Htg. for another opinion and they came out same day and had it up and running for around $200... Seems to be better than ever I highly recommend Parsons to anyone looking for a honest company!
First experience with them was wonderful 4 years ago. The last year has been problematic to say the least. They missed appointments (and I had to call to find out they werent coming both times), and when they did come they managed to screw up the settings of our unit. Had them out after the initial yearly maintenance and they blamed the thermostat, tightened screws and left. Called again because unit was still short cycling and have yet to received a return phone call. Had another business come out and solve the problem. Wasted $134 on our yearly maintenance, seeing as it made things worse not better.
I had problems with my furnace when I first went to start it up this year. I called parsons very friendly and actually arrived early for the appointment, the problem was fixed very quickly and I havent had any problems. I wouldnt trust my heating and cooling needs with anyone other than parsons.
During last week snow storm my heat went out called numerous company’s. Parsons being one of them. They came out after hours fixed my heat for my family. Thanks you for the help parsons you have a customer for life and welll definitely recommend.
Had A Parsons Tech, Dave L., come to the house to fix my AC, he was fast, knowledgable and pricing was good. I would recommend them to anyone in need of heating and cooling.

I needed a new furnace for my home. Who you call makes all the difference. Parsons techs came to my house and were so friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. They answered all my questions and made sure I actually understood the answers! Parsons did not try to upsell me, or talk me into things I didnt need or nickel and dime me on little things.... & That is very important to me! I live in a ranch style house on a slab. My old furnace was so loud throughout my home (as it is closeted in the hallway) and constantly running. Now that the new furnace is in it has already started paying for itself in so many ways. The bill for starters. But the noise level..... I can finally be at peace! We are not hollering over the furnace, the tv, radio, computer, etc dont have to be on as loud. It really has made a huge difference! Thank you so much Parsons!!!!!!

I had them do some repair work on my furnace and duct work. Very fast and affordable with good customer service. Even took care of me after hours with a good price.
I would never call this place again I had to order my own part myself for a hot water tank online not sure of what I was doing ended up charging me an extra 50 bucks above what I was quoted . I called the office and told them they charged us extra $50 he said he would refund me two weeks ago Ive never seen the refund if I could give him a minus 10 Stars I would.

I can not be more disappointed with the boss Keith Then I am right now, I called parsons out in the summer to fix my ac he shut down my furnace checked it out and said it needed new wires so I just left it alone and sweated out the summer however now I go to turn on my furnace and it wine come on. I called parsons and Keith said I have to pay for him to come out and turn on what he shut off in the summer. Why didnt he leave it the way it was when he showed up here. ..this is his way of getting more money. I even asked him to just tell me what to do and ill turn it back on. .but here I am sitting in my living room with my puppies and my daughter and its 45 degrees in here. Fix what you did parsons heating and cooling.
They tried to charge is 1025.00 to install a hot water heater. w got the job done for 700.00. IN my opinion, they saw that my aunt was elderly (95 years old) and tried to screw her out of her money.

2022-01-27I highly recommend Parsons Heating and Cooling and have used them for many years. They are very responsive and knowledgeable. They are professional but also treat you like family. They check to make sure everything is working properly before leaving. The never to try to throw in extras that you dont need. Their prices are very reasonable and they are a trustworthy company.

2021-01-08Just wanted to take a moment to share the fantastic experience with Parsons H&C. My furnace stopped working today and I was in need of help immediately! I called Parsons and spoke with Debbie. Less then two hours later Parsons was at my door to help! They were prompt, professional, and took the time to answer my questions. Id strongly recommend Parsons to anyone who needs speedy and superior assistance. Additionally, this is my second time using Parsons (they installed my AC unit last year) and I wouldnt hesitate to use them again!

2020-09-25I called this company to schedule a quote for a new furnace. The secretary I spoke with was very professional and this company had been recommended to me so I looked forward to my appointment. Fast forward to the day of and a different secretary called, also very professional, to confirm my appointment- great! Now it’s 2 hours later and I just got a phone call from this company completely cancelling my appointment because my address is “outside of their service area”.My home is in Detroit and 12 miles away from this business. Nobody told me I was outside of the service area when I set up the appointment, and again did not tell me when my appointment had been CONFIRMED the day of. Now I’m out of a days worth of work because I had to take the day off and I still don’t have a quote for a new furnace.If you live in Detroit, please do not use this business, they very clearly do not want Detroit money.

2020-06-20Keith was such a breath of fresh air! I called at 9am saying my HVAC was leaking and he was so helpful explaining to turn off the unit A/C unit and turn the fan on until he could arrive between 1-3pm. Not only did he arrive way ahead of schedule, he was finished before 1pm! I was expecting to be sold on a new unit or have the repairs cost an arm and a leg, but he was able to fix my existing unit and gave me a very fair price. I will definitely be calling Parsons for all of my future HVAC needs! They are timely, reliable, friendly, fair - THE BEST! Thank you for a wonderful experience.
