Patel Brothers in other cities:
Im a frequent shopper here, have been for decades. Product and everything wise its good. Only thing which is on my mind lately is they had no sale for Diwali or Holi (they did have it every year) this year while they did manage to have one for Ramzan.. I found that bit strange and Im not sure what to make of that. I know that its not because of covid because all those holidays fell under covid time. All other Indian stores had sale for Diwali, Holi and Ramzan, no discrimination there. I might stop shopping there just on principle reasons.
Patel Brothers is a grocery store where I can find a large selection of spices to give my dishes a unique taste. The produce section is fresh and clean, everytime I go there I buy baby bananas for myself and some more to give away. The selection of indian sweets make an excellent choice of home warming gifts, they are unique and not expensive. The personal hygiene products are also worth to try. They are always restocking shelves for our convenience.I recommend visiting this place, you wont be disappointed.
If you are looking india orp pakistani groceries, this is perfect place. We bought our desi groceries from this place all the time. Very Clean place with very humble n nice Customer services. People working here, always smily, eager to help and arrange the stuff all the time.Every item is on its place. Easy to find and shop.Only thing, i feel in many items yheir price is little higher with their competitors.
This place is definitely like an Indian grocer heaven 😊 place has everything you could ever rlly look for when it comes to Indian cooking, and much more. The owner is very kind and treats everyone who walks thru the door like family. And I have to say, the thattai they sell is INCREDIBLE 😉
I usually like this place.. but the owner there is very rude.. he doesnt know how to talk with customers.. I was really hurt the way he spoke with me.. whatever products they keep matters very low when they dont know how to treat the other human being.. you dont have the right to hurt others Mr patels.. this is the basic thing to follow as a human being..
Great Indian grocer with almost everything Indian though the store itself can be a bit cramped. The staff are helpful in finding stuff but with just one checkout line, it could take a bit if its crowded. Theres a lot of parking so that shouldnt be an issue. Credit cards are accepted. A lot of Indian name brands are not sold here and thats a minus
Very bad quality of vegetables. I wouldn’t suggest going to see this place unless it’s close by and must ingredient to go.I suggest it’s ok to get packed items but definitely fruits and vegetables are always the worst.Coconuts are always spoilt. This is not once or twice. More than 10 times. I still go because it’s 5 mins closer and only to get other stuff.I lose interest in buying the rest by looking at their quality of fresh food.
Very nice. The people are very helpful and anything you cant find, they will help you locate. Theyre good with prices and I believe they are pretty fair with anyone who has a budget to stick with. I love that theyre centered at the main core of the whole diet. You get real healing food at a fair price with courtesy.
This place has a message selection of Indian foods frozen refrigerated and regular.Dont waste your time going to a regular grocery store if you need any kind of spices Patel Brothers has a largest selection for a fraction of the price. The same counts for curry paste pickles chutneys and rice.Friendly helpful staff and I really enjoy going here.
They have large options for Frozen foods, sweets and Rotis. Also varieties of masalas, pulses in a affordable price. We can find most of the Indian grocery items in the store.Vegetables/ Fruits are expensive as other Indian storesThis the only Indian stores located in Dearborn/ Dearborn heights area.
Good place for Indian grocery. Keeps up to the Patel brand name. Products from all over India are available along with vegetables. If you go late evening or Sunday the vegetables may not be fresh. Had issue of double billing couple of times. Better check the receipt before you leave. Store is helpful for folks living around canton area.
First off I love the Asian products in this store, every time I go to Patels I shop a whole month’s worth of supplies easily bringing my total to about $200. This location is the closest distance from me, so I usually only go to this store. The customer service is very poor but I have no other option. Whenever I go grocery shopping the ladies working there always have the worst attitude. I am not sure if they understood English, but they just kept nodding when I asked something. I know I buy a lot of things but it’s their job to bag grocery and provide good customer service despite how much I buy. She bagged my apples so terribly that they fell out and rolled out on the floor. I asked for a bag and SHE JUST THREW IT AT MY face. I wouldnt even give them 1 star if there was an option for 0 stars. From now on I will go to a different location.
I found what I needed but am I welcomed there? The Asian diet is very healthy and some things needed to prevent or fight cancer only this store carries in this area. But as a black woman I felt totally unwelcomed. I was slightly intemidated. I want to shop here more, should I? The cashier was very helpful however.
Its not that big as that of Orchard lake Rd. Most of the stuffs are there but lacks variety. If you are lucky you will get fresh vegetables ..I think that mostly on Thursdays. But there is not that many options on the Ford road so its kind of monopoly in a 10 mile zone.
Unless you absolutely need something that the Indians sell, and no other store is open to spend your money in, I will not patronize this establishment again. Staff was rude to me and my friend, even condescending when we were inquiring about certain items. Be careful where you spend your hard earned dollars, as some businesses only care about the money and not properly training their staff on how to deal with diverse clientele!

2022-07-11Pro tip. If youre ever looking for saffron threads they are sold here for 5.99 a gram vs 20 for .4 or .5 grams at your standard grocery stores. I need some for a paella I was making. Also a very neat store to check out.

2022-01-11You can find all sorts of South Asian grocery items here. So far, they have one of the highest inventory turn over so youll find items rather fresh here. Prices may be slightly higher than other similar stores but worth it if you want variety.
