I cannot say enough good words regarding Paws and Claws. My husband and I are new to town and our dog was in need of grooming. The ladies there got him in right away, were professional, loving and caring towards Odin, whom suffers anxiety. Odin look so handsome and precious on his breed with the grooming. His coat was ever so soft and smelled so good. I was so proud walking with such a well groomed dog, I highly recommend Paws & Claws.
First time at Paws and Claws and lady was rude off the bat. She made it sound like the vet we take my pet to was fake. Kept complaining about my pet as well.
Service was fantastic and so was the work done! My cat feels like a whole new small lady. I have found my groomers!
Theyre very good with my baby girl. I just let em know about her left paw sensitivities, and they just load her butt up on the table, secure her and muzzle goes on. Very professional. They arent afraid of pits at all

Absolutely love Rachel! Weve been seeing her for years now & wont go to anyone else! She always does a wonderful job on our pups! We have one dog who goes to see her often, she is a sheltie/corgi mix and Rachel does such a wonderful cut on her everytime! Highly recommended!
Place came highly recommended by who I got my Yorkie from. They did a GREAT job! This is before covid hit & after when she could finally get in!!!
Stopped to pick up pouch after his stay.Girls busy with other dogs they were grooming. All attentive to their dogs on their table, but stopped to make eye contact with door entry.Clean waiting area, pleasant surroundings for your pet needing grooming.
Overall I would say Im satisfied with the haircut they did for my long haired cat. I did ask for half of her hair to be trimmed off and they ended up shaving her completely down leaving several bald spots, which is why I gave 3 stars. At least she wont need another cut for a while. Plus its easier to apply her monthly dose of Frontline.
I would never recommend this place to anyone. I called this morning about getting my puppies nail trimmed; and I was told that they could do it. The girl behind the glass was so ungodly rude! Yelling back at the woman behind in the back. My puppy had had her shots, and that was verified. She wanted to come up and ask me multiple times dose she have her shots? Yes!! How many times do I need to say this before the dog can get her nails cut?If someone was able to tell me on the phone they would do it, then I get there and nothing but attitude?I’ll never recommend this place to anyone ever unless you want poor service, and the girl that was working behind the glass cutting a dogs nails constantly telling the dog she’s being rude and sassy and just a poor attitude.

Jamie did a fantastic job on my Standard Poodle! I am fussy and she followed specific instructions and he came out looking stunning. The groomers are professional, friendly, happy and enjoy what they do. They are kind to the dogs and take their time to make them comfortable. I highly recommend

Called with probably a half hour until they closed and they made time for me and my big ole scared pup. Treated him very nicely, did a wonderful job easing his anxiety. Will definitely be a repeat customer.

The employees love dogs & it shows! They take time to bond with each dog that comes in the door. My dog is always exhausted when we pick her up after playing for hours with her doggy friends & she gives us sad puppy dog eyes when its a day she doesnt go. Highly recommend this awesome place!

Being a bully breed people sometimes avoid him due to his size. Not at Paws and Claws. They loved him. He loved his experience there also. We will be bringing him back
So my dog jacks has been going to this place for about a year come to find out if you have a hyper or a dog that likes to bark a lot they will lock him up in a kennel and leave him in it all day I take my dog to the doggy day care so he can be socialized and play with other dogs also they fail to tell you when something happens to your dog 3 weeks ago my dog came home with a Tooth hole in his face and scratches down his nose. I do not believe anybody that works there is qualified to take care of dogs and when I asked for a refund they told me to wait 2 days for my money back. Also today when I came home after he got kicked out he acted scared and peed on the floor he never acts scared of me why would this happen what did they do to my Dog
Somebody recommended this place to me cause I was in need of a groomer for my f1 labradoodle raven, so I took her there. Danielle had done an excellent job!! I wanted what is called a labradoodle cut, they didnt know what that was but I showed them a picture and she done it exactly how I wanted it!! Raven came out smelling great and she even had a bounce in her step like she owned the world. I even have another appointment today and I cant wait to see her when she comes back out! Would definitely recommend this place to anybody!!
I just take by little girl to Paws & Claws for a bath and nail trim. I know they do much more. Even daycare. I know first hand Julia, the owner is an animal lover. All the staff Ive dealt with are wonderful. The new location is in Urbandale where the old laundromat used to be. Youll be happy and so will your pet.
They take good care of our Biscuit. We get him groomed there about every 6-7 weeks. Can recommend.
They are beyond the best pet grooming place Ive been to. My 2 pits were loved and treated like royalty there. I recommend to everyone.
Pets react to a persons attitude and if its clear the employee doesnt want to be there or deal with your dog, the dog will react differently. That being said, being rude to the dog and its owner saying that hes not well trained because he is afraid of having his nails clipped is not a good business strategy. He has never had a problem with any other place clipping his nails, the staff should be experienced enough to deal with any dog, small or big.
We love taking our German Shepherd to paws & claws because they do such a beautiful job on him. All the staff are very attentive to everyones needs and makes sure all the animals get the best care

They got Dave and Smudge in for a nail trim! Ashley is the cat whisperer. Smudge just came out and let her clip his nails. Dave was a little more hesitant. But she handled him well.
My dog was in day care with Anna for a short time, and she just adored her.
I am a repeat customer because of their great service. They remember my dog every time I bring her in and are happy to see her. The prices are also very reasonable!

2022-07-14I have been coming to paws and claws for a while and I would love to give a big shout out to GLENDA for doing such a wonderful job with copper and taking him in when his groomer stopped working for u guys she does a great job takes her time with copper I know copper can be a handful but she gets the job done I can never thank her enough for all she does I truly appreciate GLENDA for all her hard work and time she takes with my baby I tell everyone I talk to about grooming how much I love and appreciate GLENDA keep up the great work

2022-06-12Appointment was at 1:00, didn’t start on my pet until 2:10, then the lady chopped my pet all up and didn’t try because “she wanted to go home”. Won’t be returning, now I have to take my pet to a different groomer to get them fixed up. Paid $75 for a half job. My pet was shaking and in pain. Not to mention, I’m getting told repeatedly how “horrible my pet is.” All because he was scared and wouldn’t stand up.

2022-02-025 stars isn’t enough for these ladies. My cat is not easy, he’s a giant Persian floof, he’s a little cranky, and he’s old and sensitive. I was stressing about keeping him hygienic and happy because grooming him myself was becoming more difficult. But they took such good care of my little dude, he’s so happy and clean and they were so gentle. Great prices, great service, I considered sending a bouquet of flowers I was so grateful. Thanks guys!!
