I truly appreciate what Peckham is doing for the Capital Area. I think that their mission is one to be admired. I cannot thank them enough for giving our disabled citizens a chance to make a good wage in a place that accommodates their needs. I would highly recommend checking their calendar of events. I am consistently impressed with the workshops and speakers that they offer.
Do the bare minimum to help the employees or unless you have been there a while or In a higher position
Unique work place, with great ethical nonprofit clothing factory, where they give people with disabilities or special needs their chance in life to work and participate in the society, provides all what you may think of for their employees. Its beyond what I ever imagined.
I went to a christmas party there last yr. With some friends who work there. The place is AWESOME !!!! My friend really loves working there. Shes been there about 2 yrs. Now.

This place really helps people with disabilities, they are patient, kind and understanding. The staff is truly amazing, they really want to see people get back on thier feet.😁😁😁
What can i say these folks rip off handicap people and claim their sweatshop is a training facility ect. People in that office should be ashamed of that chubby gross lady up front always throwing attitude.
Just cheap selfish people. I worked there for 8 months trying to promote in the company. But they pay you the cheapest they can and give you enough work for 5 people

A great training facility for persons with a variety of handicapping conditions including physical disabilities, chronic mental illness and PTSD. Peckham employees succeed in competitive employment. Peckham is a great business to partner with.

Trucks must enter off of Grand River Ave.! Would have been nice to know ahead of time. Not too shabby though, plenty of space and easy to find.

2021-09-09Very clean and well maintained. Cafeteria has several breakfast and lunch options. Lockers available for all staff members. Building is secure with badge entry at employee entrances. The employees are very diverse, the majority of them are very kind and fun to interact with. Overtime was mandatory at the time of my employment. Compensation is bare minimum for most employees. Not a great experience overall, but with minor wage adjustments could be a nice place to work.

2020-10-08Im giving this a 3 stars just to be nice! Not a bad place to work if you have a disability,and you already have enough of a hard time finding work.However im only able to work Part time,and its not many job opportunities available for a person getting a Social Security income monthly. Very disappointing considering this is suppose to be a Company that works with Disabled,and Autistic people. When i was working here 10 years ago i was doing janitor.I remember my supervisor was encouraging us to make sure we tell our bosses what type of job were looking for. Well you better not do that because they dont have nothing for you you have to reapply and wait lord knows how long.Plus working Janitor for me was not working out soo they fired me.Been trying to get back into Peckham for years but they dont have a Part time job for me

2021-03-26I am actually a employee at this location I really enjoy it they really help with a lot of different issues for example Mental Health, disabilities and even felons can possibly get a job here and they help you with a retirement fund they have personal insurance for vision and dental they helped Supply bus cards on discount they have a eat in dining cafeteria where you can purchase food so it is a great place to work at if you enjoy sewing thats what I do or janitorial work theres a lot of different options and opportunities at this place

2019-02-25I work here. They are a great company, especially if you just want a simple job. Very flexible for people with disabilities. Very accommodating. The only area Id say they could improve on is pay caps, and there are a FEW bad supervisors.

2020-08-24Absolutely awful what they did to my son. They assured us both that if he couldnt do the job he was first assigned they would work with him to find one suited for him. Absolutely just dismissed him. Left him unemployed and struggling to find work.

2018-05-08Great looking facility. Perfect for training and professional meetings. Plenty of restrooms and cafeteria open at lunch. Parking near West Entrance! I was late the first time due to google directions telling me it was on the left, but actually the building is on the right. If you go past it you have to drive through the airport. Not very convenient. You also cant enter the other doors as a visitor. Had to walk quite a way to the West door.
