Comment: TLDR; IF YOU ARE GOING TO USE THIS LOCATION FOR BUDGET RENTALS PLEASE BE WARY!!!!!I feel like I need to start off by saying that I dont like leaving negative reviews because they can do real damage in terms of business, but Ive never had such a bad experience. I refrained from leaving this review for an entire month because I didnt want to write something out of anger. That being said I am generally level-headed about mishaps because I understand that things happen.This review is specific to the incident I had regarding moving equipment and a rental truck. I havent used the storage units here, so I cant speak on that.I am glad that some people have had a good experience with their rental trucks and moving equipment. I can see how renting a truck from here would be OK for smaller moves. The only truly positive thing I can say is that the customer service reps from Budget have been cordial.Without getting into too much personal detail; we had a hard time with the rental truck, moving equipment, roadside assistance, and the on site employee.Reading the reviews I have seen others who had similar experiences.Theres a lot to be said about the older woman we dealt with at this location. Her unprofessionalism was the driving factor for this review. She took a stressful situation from irritating to INFURIATING. She had a lot to say outside of being apologetic about major inconveniences that caused us a day of travel time. I understand that some of those things were beyond her control, but there was simply no need for her commentary-especially considering that we were not directing our frustrations at her initially. She later backpedaled and apologized after I had to remove myself from the building to keep composure. The things she felt the need to say before that had me flabbergasted. We ended up getting a refund, which Im grateful for. However, you cant be reimbursed for lost time or unneeded stress.That was just the tip of the iceberg; we had a HORRENDOUS experience which I can go on and on about. Instead I will just leave you with a few things to consider and look out for instead.-DOUBLE CHECK THE EQUIPMENT EVEN THOUGH WHOEVER IS UP FRONT SAID THEY DID. Check to see if the truck is dirty so you dont have to be surprised when you get home and have to clean it out yourself. Check to make sure the blinkers and brake lights work before going too far. If youre using a tow dolly be sure to check the condition of that too. Make sure the lights on it work and that the safety harnesses and lock pins are in good working condition. If you feel that any of the equipment is unsafe or unfit for the road dont let them tell you otherwise-dont jeopardize your safety, the safety of others, and the safety of your property!-Drive the truck around for a bit before actually heading home to load it up because there might be a check engine light that pops up-we drove the rental truck from the location to our apartment and then back (to return the tow dolly) which was less than 40 miles when it popped up on the dash.-If a check engine light comes up it might be easier to drive back to the location and ask them for a different truck if possible. Do the same inspection you did with the first truck. I dont know if this was the case with others but roadside assistance was extremely incompetent and had us waiting for hours, drove to the wrong location, and then left us waiting with no further communication.-FROM WHAT IVE READ IN OTHER REVIEWS YOU DONT HAVE TO BUY THE INSURANCE.-If anyone up front gives you a hard time just be adamant that you are unsatisfied with the equipment/truck. Hopefully they will be accommodating, but from our experience and from reading other reviews that will probably not be the case.-When it comes down to it you are probably better off getting a refund and going with a different rental truck company.Moving is very stressful and I know that its enticing to save a little bit of money, just be wary. I hope you all have a good experience and be safe out there!

Comment: I would not even give them a star one but had to so that i could leave a review.If i was you i would never do business with them!They take money out of your account before the due date. Like 2 weeks before.They had taken money out of my youngest sons account saying i had Authorized it which was a lie! In the first place i am not on my sons account nor would i even try and do something like that with out him knowing. That would be totally against the law. Not just that me & my oldest son got the stuff out before the due date cuz my youngest son is in the hospital and we are not allowed to see him. He asked me to get the money back today cuz he lives with my oldest daughter & son in-law & my 8yr granddaughter. They have to pay their rent today so he needs his half of the rent or they all are going to be kicked out today. There was another time which were they had given me his money back cuz he seriously needed it but worked the hrs that they Pelandale storage was open and by the time he got off they were closed cuz he also had to commute. This time they refused to refund my sons money which he needed desperately! Right now my Arrogant daughter & son in-law have to put their belongings in different peoples houses cuz they have no choice but to live in their car with my 8yr granddaughter cuz they have no were else to go. It breaks my heart cuz i cant even let them live with me cuz our landlord will not allow it even when i begged him! Just like i begged the guy that was working the day i tried to get my sons money back

Comment: I just want to apologize to Jenise & to the Palmdale Self Storage company. I left a terrible review that was totally unfair and regret leaving it. What i did was wrong! I was taking my frustrate out o Jenise & the Pelandale Self Storage Company a said nothing about the storage unit that my son had rented for my youngest daughter & me. I am deeply sorry! Im bipolar & i lash out at the slightest things that i am unable not to control.So to Jenise & the company Im deeply sorry for leaving such a horrible review!The people at Pelandale Self Storage was always good to my son & me.I want to make things right!The unit was always very clean & when my oldest son & me took out all of our belongings there was not any mice leaving in any of the boxs like there was from another storage place that i had rented a few yrs back! My & me was very surprised of this cuz we did expect there would be! But there was absolutely none!So i want to thank them for taking such great care of our until & for being always polite to My youngest son & me!I hope that all of you will have a wonderful Thanksgiving & a Blessed Christmas!

Comment: Ive been renting for almost a year. Very clean and no bugs (thank goodness I hate bugs lol) staff is friendly and helpful when I asked for copies of all the paperwork. Only frustrating thing is that my storage rent keeps increasing. Its gone up twice in the last 4 months. I understand that they have to make money as well but if it keeps increasing I might not be able to afford it anymore. ☹️

Comment: Arrived and waited and waited 45 mins. Helped other people first that came on after me. Couldnt get storage unit door up. Manager states do what you got to do to get it opened. After repairing roller for them then put a small bend in roll up door with the tool the manager gave me then they wanted to keep my deposit. I took photos incase something like this happened. Got my deposit back after 1 hour of BSWill never do business with them again. As a reply to you message I didnt have any trash. All there was in that locker was a couch loveseat and a 5 ft tall gun safe that weighed over 400 lbs. Loaded. .No garbage. And If you review the footage on your cameras you will see the man that pulled up behind and waited for me to move the truck it was his garbage. 3 items in that unit and I took all 3 ..

Comment: I rented a 26 budget truck online and when we went to get it we had a very nice experience with the manager Jeanice. She was very pleasant and easy to talk with to figure out what we needed as we were driving from California to Iowa. Not only did she ask all the right questions about what we needed as far as insurance and other important questions she even gave us a free truck rental day, which helped greatly.Thank you Jeanice for all your help. We made it to Iowa last Wednesday safe and sound and the return of the truck went as expected with no problems.

Comment: They just raised our rate $65.00 during our second month. I would advise you to stay away from here! Very disappointed. They Park their rental trucks at the entrance to the exit.. Therefore when people are using their storage in that area no one can exit.. When the manager was asked about moving the trucks they said no! Understand this.. They do not care about their customers period!

Comment: Imagine storing ALL your belongs while you take the trip of lifetime for several months. You set up automatic credit card billing and give clear instructions to contact you only by email. Then you come home to find they auctioned everything you own in the world because THEY changed their billing system, THEY hadnt stored your credit card info to put into the new system, they DIDNT email you as instructed, and they DIDNT reply when you emailed them.That is what Pelandale Storage did to me. Lawsuit pending. My lifetime possessions are gone forever. They lied to me on multiple occasions, they were negligent and inept, and they are just awful, awful human beings. They deserve negative 5 stars.

Comment: Made a payment to these guys for my daughter back in November go figure they stored the card number and charged it after move out. watch them and what card you give them. Again first Transaction was Authorized (November) and then they charge my Card again in March after move out. VERY DISHONEST Practice.Manager Very Rude when Attempted to talk to her! (Janice)* SHE CLAIMED TO HAVE PERMISSION TO CHARGE THE CARD, must have been a psycic connection he hadnt talked to her since last month. Gotta love those who do business with a forked toung.
