Comment: I have been a client of Penske for about 2.5 years now with 2 box trucks on a lease.We have had multiple issues working with Penske. Starting with the fact that nothing that was told to us as benefits of working with Penske and having a lease with them was true. We had very few situations that they were able to provide what they promised 95%+ of the time they couldnt back their promises or anything they have in writing.On top of it, we have had extremely high charges to our account month after month for miles we didnt do. They would add about 14,000 miles to the invoices and charge us for it on months when the truck didnt even do 800 miles. These are big charges and they werent the ones to fix it.We had to catch it and chase them for it each time. It took months to get the problem solved. In the meantime we were being charged ridiculous amounts non-stop. No compensation was provided.One of the new trucks they provided to us had a technical issue and we had to drop it off to them, at which point we decided to terminate the lease agreement and they agreed. Instead of terminating this on the agreed upon time they set the termination date weeks later. They charged us for the additional weeks we didnt even have the truck.We also have to pay insurance coverage for that period because they cant provide documents to show the stop of use as of the date that it was dropped off to them.Now that we agreed to just take the hit on everything they caused it was time for them to give us the deposit of $5,000 that we put down for the lease which they originally said will be returned to us upon termination of the lease agreement as long as no balance is due for the lease per truck.Guess what? now we need to fight for our deposit as well.I regret ever using Penske and would suggest to everyone trying to operate their business to find other alternatives. Penske was supposed to give us peace of mind, instead it is costing us way more than we every thought it will and there are absolutely no benefits that comes with it, in fact it is A LOT MORE WORK that you just added to your plate.Good luck.

Comment: When the San Mateo affiliate location failed me, Joel at this official Penske location came to the rescue! I had a fairly disappointing experience at the other location, but thankfully Joel was there to help fill the gap for us and with great customer service to boot. We were able to get our furniture pads from here very quickly, in and out and would have opted to rent from here if we had known how much better the customer service would be!

Comment: Wish I could put 0 stars first off the rental they gave me turned out having a bad left front tire so bad it had cords showing then over a month later they charged my credit card a $43.00 fee for a &7.00 bridge toll which the lady said she would let me know when they get the invoice so I could pay it I even told her I had a fast trax that Id put the plate number on it and yet she still said it was ok and now they wont fix the mix up I will truly never use this company again

Comment: LOOK CLOSELY AT YOUR RECEIPT! We borrowed a dolly and forgot to return it when returning our truck. We called in about returning it a day late and were told that this was fine. When we returned the dolly, we checked the receipt to see if there was an extra fee. They had overcharged us $125 (as though we were late with the truck) in addition to a $25 dolly fee.When we asked about the $125, they quickly and politely removed it, but the fact that they were so nonchalant about it makes me think that this is common practice. If we hadnt been checking about the dolly charge, we easily could have missed this ploy completely.

Comment: Just rented a box truck here to move my stuff and I have to say Im extremely satisfied with renting it here. It was super easy to reserve it, pick it up, and return it. The employees that work here were also very friendly and helpful.Best of all, the price was very affordable for the size of the truck I got. The truck even had a hydraulic lift gate. I would not hesitate to rent from them again or recommend them to anyone who needs to rent a moving truck.

I started making calls, Oscar at Penske was polite AND helpful. Not at all like several customer service reps (ironic title) I spoke to prior to calling Penske. He actually worked with me to find a truck and completely saved our day. Thank you to Oscar and the staff at this location.

Comment: BEYOND UPSET WITH THIS PLACE! Would leave 0 stars if possible. Completely screwed us over thousands of dollars! We were renting one of their trucks to move important large pieces of material, when we arrived to get the RESERVED truck, they said they had none left! Did absolutely nothing at all to help remedy the situation either. Go elsewhere if you would like the business to honor your reservation.

Comment: Horrible service, I called before hand to let them know I was picking up a truck, that was paid for, upon arrival, they said that the truck was not ready and needed maintenance done, which they said would take only an hour, after an hour I asked for the status, and they said more problems where found, which would take an additional 1 hr and a 1/2, they did this 3 different today, penske is closing now, and Im just hanging out in the lobby while the mechanics are on lunch break, they dont leave until 10 at night, so Im just sitting here like an idoit
