Comment: Tried to say we needed a full a/c replacement, literally just replaced half the components before bringing it in, so nice try there. Will try to take advantage of you and sell you their most expensive tire. Will try to take advantage of you if youre a woman, or femme presenting. Definitely home to that one mechanic every one warns you about. They wanted $3k plus for something Firestone quoted $1,100 for...Ive heard of swindler mechanics, but this is my first time encountering one concerning enough to review. Especially considering how high the ratings are for this shop. Save your time and wallet.

Comment: I went in for an oil change. Unfortunately found two valve gasket leaks and bad Rack and Pinion. All said and done, they identified the issues and had my baby fixed up in about 4 hours. Comment: I can always trust Pep Boys in Anaheim Hills to be honest and never try to upsell me on any sort of service. The dealer told me that my Acura needed new brakes so I took my car to Pep Boys for a second opinion. I was told I had 60% in the front and 40% in the back… They evaluated my brakes for free and I was in and out of there in no time. My tech Abraham Vega answered all of my questions patiently and explained when I should have my brakes checked again. He was professional, kind, and didn’t try to push me into anything that I did not need.

He found a huge screw in my back right tire and put the donut tire on, so I could make it to my class that night and the next day, go to the tire company in HB, where I purchased my tires recently. Sean explained my tire wear and gave me an est for replacement in approx six more months. He reset my vehicles computer and politely sent me on my way. Sean was exceptionally curtest and very knowledgable about my Range Rover. I will use Pep Boys, and especially Sean, for my non dealer related service and repairs.

Comment: I had 2 control arms replaced at the Fullerton location, they were put back incorrectly causing the alignment to go crazy over time. They had a hard time fixing it at that store when I brought it back, but after just a few days at the Anaheim hills location they took care of me and made sure to handle any warranty issues so I didn’t come out of pocket for any of it. They were super professional and made sure to update me plenty of times along the way. This location is where I’ll bring all of my cars moving forward.

Comment: Great service & friendly people! Long story short, hit a metal ladder on the fwy and my tire blew out. Called spoke to Raul. I wanted to replace all 4 tires on the same day. I have a long fwy drive home. I didn’t want to use the spare tire any longer than I had to. He had 2 in stock & they went to a sister store and got 2 more. They replaced the tires and did other needed services. I was able to pick my car up as soon as I got off of work. Raul kept me posted during the whole process. I will definitely be using them again for future services.

Got my car towed to PepBoys and Gilbert who serviced me was amazing. Right off the bat, professionalism and attitude was great. Super friendly. Gilbert even gave me options on the alternator and gave me suggestions. He also said it would be done at around 4pm. Not everyone can literally pin-point the done time. Gilbert gave me a call at 3:55pm the car was ready. Went down, did the payment and left. He also mentioned my battery didnt need to be changed. I appreciate the honesty. Comment: After the repair, we drove off and the same warning indicator came on. We returned and the service advisor and the technician indicated it was the cleaning agent in the fuel lines. I confirmed with that the car was safe to drive. 2-hours later the car stopped moving on a very busy freeway (91), The car was leaking gas. After waiting 2-hours for a tow truck on the shoulder of the freeway, we had the car towed at my expense back to Pep Boys at 10:00 PM. I arrived at 7:50 AM and waited at the door to speak with the service advisor. Although the service advisor recognized me, he waited to exactly 8:00 AM to let me in. I explained that the car stalled on the freeway and gas was leaking. The service advisor stated that they would immediately look at the car. Around 1:00 PM I was notified by the technician that the car was ready and that the fuel line was not properly attached, and the car was now fine. I inquired if the car was safe to drive, or did the fuel line needed to be replaced.. the technician stated if I wanted to be positive that I should replace the line. I asked why this issue was not brought to my attention earlier, the technician stated that it was not an issue before. I inquired why is it an issue now, and he stated its not, but if I want to be 100% sure, to replace the line. When I returned to pick up the car, the technician admitted that he did not connect the fuel line. This is completely unacceptable. This is a flammable substance, and it’s my son’s car. Getting stranded on a very busy freeway at night put my sons life at risk for something that would seem very obvious to check.

They tell me I desperately need back brakes and a new battery. They said theyre surprised my car still turns on my battery is so low. Well I didnt have time to fix it there and would fix it at a later time. Since Pep Boys was close to my work I figured I would take it here before our road trip. Ricardo was awesome and they did a full brake inspection and tested the battery. Come to fund out I didnt even need back brakes or a battery yet. The technician blamed the wheel alignment system of being old and caused the settings to drift once set. Im assuming they hope that nobody reads the wheel alignment printout.Scheduling an appointment is not reliable. There was still a couple of people ahead of me and it took almost 2 hours to complete my service.

Comment: Came in for a tire repair and the manager, the short old guy I think his name was Sean, took one look at my tire without using a gauge and told me that it has to be replaced. Took it to Anaheim hill tire center and they were able to patch it for $35. Before this happened Pep boys said that the wait was going to be an hour and a half minimum yet 3/4 of the employees were sitting in the back on their phones. Go down the street to Anaheim hills tires they were super fast and very nice they helped me out with zero issues said there is still 20% life on it. Save your money and go to a shop that doesn’t have to maximize profits.

Initially, when we bought a set of new tires, we noticed that 2 of the 4 tires had a DOT over 3 years old. We voiced our concerns and Raul at PepBoys in Anaheim Hills took great care in making sure that the issue was taken care of promptly and to our ultimate satisfaction. In fact, when we dropped off our vehicle to have 2 of the tires swapped out, the issue was resolved so quickly that by the time we got home the service was complete. Comment: So I keep trying to give this place a try, usually because of their hours, they take walk-ins, though I usually make an appointment. I have had oil leak after an oil change, and now... I had all four tires changed with an alignment. There was also some type of check up on the vehicle. We drove home 2 miles to find out the rt brake line had been cut, fluid was all over and I had no breaks. My son was the driver he didnt notice the pile of fluid and trail of fluid all over the garage and driveway, we immediately got it back to Pep Boys, it was repaired at my cost, but I do not believe in coincidences, the old hose itself looks brand new. I have it in hand. There is a clean slice in the line. Their competency makes me nervous. I gave 2 stars because the guys are nice and the prices are fair. I want to add THANKFULLY no one was hurt by the lack of breaks.

Comment: I got a flat tired and had to use a fix-a-flat to drive it to the nearest Pep Boys. After waiting about 4-5 hours they patched it. They did not balance the tire saying it costs extra, which they informed me only after I picked up the car. Car shook a bit in certain speeds. Then I started getting random Tire Pressure Monitor System error warnings when driving 45+ minutes. After a few months, I got standard maintenance at the dealership including tire rotation. The dealer Service Dept showed me that the tire was not patched properly, didnt not clean out the liquid, and Pep Boys had cutout a chunk of foam inside the tire (see photo). And now the TPMS sensor is damaged after driving 3 months with the liquid in the tire. The tire can not be balanced correctly because of the improper work by this Pep Boys location. Now I need to purchase a new tire, new sensor, and waste another day dealing with this. I wanted to support my local businesses but I absolutely not be going back there with my 4 other vehicles. I do not trust or recommend this location.

Comment: 1st visit: Great customer service from Sean. Thank you guys!Second visit:Went back to change tires and brakes on my other car and Raul notified me that I did not need brakes after doing the vehicle inspection. He was very helpful and got me out of there really fast. Highly recommended!

Comment: I came in Saturday morning at 10 am with an appointment booked. Fortunately they had the tire in stock that I needed. They informed me they were a little behind and would get to my car as soon as they could. I asked for them to check out the TPMS sensors to make sure they were working because I have had a light on for awhile and figured that a battery might be dead. They said thats all part of the process and would be checked out. Once they pulled the tires off one of the technicians walked up to me and said the rear brakes need to be replaced and the rotors turned. (I have had no symptoms of pulsing in the brakes so I knew my rotors were okay.) I declined and they finished up the job. I was never told if my TPMS sensors are working and I still have a light on. Today I pulled the rear tires off only to find the lug nuts tightened well above the 85 ft/lbs (closer to 135 ft/lbs) and my brakes were in good condition. Rotors were not worn, no grooves and the brake pads had a good amount of material left. To top it off they did not replace the valve stem covers. Overall tire install was fine but thats it. Be carful and dont trust what they say and get a second opinion. I attached photos of the rotors and pads to review.Update*** I posted this same think in their in house review portal that gets posted to their website. It was denied.

Comment: Not much of a selection in the oil filter dept. Wal-Mart has a better selection. Thats pretty sad considering I was looking for a 2001 Chevy truck. Most common filter out there. Settled on a Purolator. It says masks are required, but I saw one cashier wearing one and the other didnt have one on. This location has always been poorly run anyway since I moved here 24 years ago in Anaheim hills.

Comment: Its amazing how its empty and yet Im waiting to have my car serviced? Theyre all very nice here but Id recommend to not have the new mechanics work on your car. Bad experience.
