Awesome freshwater fish selection. Always a great sale going on. Got these for $1 each. Nice clean store with staff always around to help with your questions or concerns.

Great staff very helpful. Store was clean and well stocked, my only issue is they dont have a good selection for extra large dogs. For perspective we have a 9 month old cane corso who went in to her first heat and they did not have a big enough diaper for her ( we had to improvise) LOL
Workers just standing at the counter bent over on their phones you have to ask them if they can check out for you. They can’t even finish handing you your receipt without turning around to finish their conversation. And not to mention the rude service.

Very personable staff but their puppy wash area isnt arent always clean or stocked well (took away a star because of this reason). The deals are average but seemingly a good place for pets to come. The delivery is really good as well.
If your going to work retail you should be friendly. The cashier was basically a mute. If was so bad it was offensive

My absolute favorite pet store. My 8 y/o baby is thoroughly enjoying her new flavored rawhide. They have way more pet toys than the other 2 chains and a slew of products proudly made in the USA. They always have a team member ready to take your bagged food to your car which is such a great courtesy.
This store is always clean, organized and the employees are helpful. It has the customer service expected from high end stores but yet that small hometown feel thats so appreciated. I am in and out quickly and the variety is great. Thank for doing it right!
Best pet supplies plus I’ve been to, and I used to work for one almost 20 years ago. Friendly and knowledgeable staff, and even the customers are pleasant to each other. Also mindful of other pets. No one, not even the staff attempts to pet the dogs without consent. Damn good store.

Well stocked with cat food. Only one cashier so checking out wasn’t as fast as the sign on the wall mentioned. Store is large. Ample parking including 2 spots for pick up. Ordering online is easy and they have pick up or delivery. They have a free bath area for pets.

This place sucks completely. I came in at 8:37 to give my dog a bath. I have a self serve discount card. But I was turned away because they said they close their dog wash at 8:30. 7 minutes? Really? So If there’s anywhere else I can go I’m definitely never coming back here again. *And it’s my dogs birthday. I’m furious. The customer service is just trash. No accommodation for being a loyal customer. Obviously I have a punch card because I visit frequently. But that isn’t valued. So I’ll take my bucks elsewhere. That’s sad though because I really liked the place.
One of the workers called me a good girl and like 🧍🧎♀️🐈 I was down bad ngl😩 but now I can’t stop barking for attention and it’s a problem.
Always great help! I love coming in here! After just adopting a new cat, I had (don’t remember his name) either Donovan or Dominic help me pick out everything I needed! He made sure that I knew what each product was for and if I had any questions. After checking out, he came up and even offered to take the cat litter to my car! All of the staff is great here! I’ll definitely come back!
Pet care is outstanding for shots at a lower price then a traditional Vet
So I love this place for my dog. Staff is cool and don’t mind answering questions. They keep their word with same day delivery so my puppy was happy to see his food. Plus they added in a thank you card and couple snacks for my puppy. I thought that was so cute. That made my day.

I have gone here for many years and spent Alot of money. I placed a order and within 1-2 hrs i received a coupon for a free 5.00 toy, coupon expired the next day. So i called the store and since i had literally just placed a order i figured they would just add the coupon. NOPE. They wouldnt couldnt didnt. So in order for me to get this 5.00 toy for free i had to place another order by the next day. Thats bull. I wont b going back

We just got a new puppy and the staff there were very friendly. Every time we visit (which is 3 times a month minimum) we always feel welcome. We own 2 dogs, 1 cat and a gecko. All their supplies, outfits, etc come from here. Whether we are buying a few crickets or an entire basket of supplies they treat us the same.

I love the delivery service. I received a lot of extras in my bag and I only ordered dog food! When there is a problem with an item I order, they contact me immediately. You cant beat their prices or their deals.

It comes highly recommended.On another note, definitely recommend the dog bath. They supply the aprons, towels, soap and the scrub brush to clean your pet. All for an very economical price.
Love shopping at their store in Columbus for my heeler and cats!!! Staff are always super friendly and helpful. Staff at corporate are less than helpful and less than friendly. Recently had a very poor experience with a Matt Devitt.
The place was clean, not busy and they were very helpful. I was looking for a small carrying crate for my wifes cat. They had a lot of crates in stock, just not what I was looking for. I was trying to find something that would be easier for my wife to get the cat in-and-out of. These hard plastic and steel crates are just to awkward to use. Ill keep looking.

NEVER going there again. 30 minute wait to wash my 1 dog while lady has 2 dogs in there. 30 minute time limit PER website and this lady STILL soaping up the 1st dog. Utter bs my dogs will NEVER go there again and neither will anyone I know. Staff was rude and I am calling corporate office right now too.
In response to the owner: The only thing that held it back from getting a 5star were the crickets, we wanted to get 150 small crickets, but the sizes that we received ranged from small to large. The employee pulled them all from the same side of the glass. What got you the 4stars was the employees themselves, they were super friendly and happy, and very helpful!!!

I should have given 5 stars and have edited my initial post. At first I thought the price for Frontline Plus for Cats was high, but I have checked online. Pet Supplies Plus prices are almost exactly the same as PetsMart, Amazon, and Chewy.com, I believe. My mistake. Sorry.Thanks for great customer service. I didnt have to wait even 30 seconds for the PetSupplies Plus team member to assist me in opening the cabinet to choose the Frontline medicine. He was there with the key when I turned around to go find someone. Awesome service.
I have been shopping at this store for years. First I had dogs, fish, rabbits, and canaries. Now I have just two cats. I even adopted a cat from their in-store adoption area. The prices are competitive with the bigger stores but this is the place to go for excellent service. The workers are welcoming and helpful. If you have anything heavy there is always someone right there to take it to your car.
This place is my brick and mortar pet supply jam! Decently enough stocked for exotics and exceptionally stocked for dogs and cats. The staff are reasonably friendly. The prices are very competitive. They also have on site vet clinics, adoptions, and self service dog washing stations (well maintained).

This is our one and only pet store. They always have what we need and everyday low prices. This location is always clean and neat and the staff is helpful and always very friendly. I have been shopping here for more than 4 years and have never had an issue, always good service. There is a new pet area with kittens available to adopt and they have many special pet adoption events on the weekends.

Bright, open aisles, and good supply of products. Pleasant room for you and your dog. Staff are happy to help you find food and other products for animals. They are happy to see your dog and often give them a treat if it is ok with you. They answer questions and the store is bright and friendly.
The store associates are as helpful as they can be, but after my recent experience its obvious that no one trains them properly. I know that PSP have one gender rodents. I know for a fact (because Ive wanted one for so long) that the hamsters are always boys. Well, my boy had 6 babies and now I have to figure out what to do when they mature. I asked (I guess) the store manager if I could bring them back and he told me they had an overflow in the back room where the younger ones are held. I dont recommend any to buy an animal from anyone but an expert. And I think PSP should stick to pet needs (they couldnt give me any info on her diet as a new mom either).
A chain pet supply, yet feels like a small, old-fashioned, hometown store because of the very helpful employees. The store has everything we are looking for, and after purchase, they will load heavy bags of pet food into your car. Great service!

I really dont care so much for the Guinea pig hay and its more expensive here compared to petco or pet smart prices. They dont have orchard hay which guinea pigs much prefer and you cna get that for 10.50 at petsmart
Stopped in while having tires installed down the street. It was clean, the employees were friendly and most things seemed reasonably priced. Its not in my neighborhood but I would go back if I needed something I couldnt find near me.
Helpful staff, good deals, and lots of options for my fur babies. They have a good variety of brands that other pet stores do not carry.
The staff is very nice and helpful and I love the remodel, so bright and clean. However, sometimes when I go there Country music is playing rather loudly and I find myself rushing to just get out of there and away from that obnoxious sound. A couple of times I have walked out without some of the things I needed because of the music. As a former business owner I feel that a neutral music played more softly is more conducive to shopping.

They always have my dogs food in stock, the staff is very friendly and helpful. When I go by myself they usually load the food up for me.4 stars instead of 5 cuz the check out area can be confusing when the store is busy and I always seem to get cut in front of cuz Im short and no one can see me around all of the displays they in that area.

I used to by my pet products from grocery store until I came to this store about four months ago super helpful and friendly employees all of them are great,I get frequent coupons in my email that save me a lot of money Im here about twice a month or more, wont buy my pet products anywhere else from now on they even take your stuff out to your car and load it for you. I am so disappointed with the customer service I received at the Livonia W 7 Mile Rd store and the Farmington Hills Orchard Lake store! I called both stores and specifically asked if they carried (and had in stock) Fromm Heartland Gold puppy food. Both employees said yes we do. I had both employees go and check because I was coming from 30 minutes away to their store for it. I was put on hold and both employees came back and said yes we have it in stock. So I drove to the Livonia store first and they did NOT have it. The excuse I got was the girl is new. I then drove to the Farmington Hills store (because on the phone they also said they have it). They did NOT either! How hard is it to read the name on the bag of food? Why do you have employees working that do NOT know your product? I barley even got a sorry from the employees at either store. I will NEVER shop at either of these stores nor will I ever recommend shopping at a Pet Supplies store. I can not believe the incompetence of the employees working at these stores. Seriously disappointing. And people wonder why everyone shops online now!
This was my first time at this particular location of Pet Supplies Plus. It was a well-maintained clean store with friendly helpful salespeople. The store was laid out differently than the store that I normally go to so I need a little assistance to find the items that I was looking for and the staff was very helpful.

Beware they dont stand behind there 14 day return policy for feeder fish, or at least when the manager is there.. I explained this to him that Ive never had a problem with returning fish an this is the first Ive heard of this and if you want to be this way thats fine people do read reviews... After he left I asked one of team members, ( he must be a real ahole to work for?) The response no comment... So that said a lot right there...So your not getting my business anymore.. Big f you..

Walked in greeted right away by friendly smiles. Walked past an aisle a young man on a ladder working asks if I need help I say yeah Im looking for a specific food. He said I can help you with that and would you like me to carry to your car and is there anything else you need help with. Its so nice to be greeted with smiles.

I went there with my older brother and my father who was in a wheelchair and we had went there for the first time in a long while, we saw ferrets and I got excited right away, then once I saw how messy and disgusting their cage was I felt so bad instantly, no one was even cleaning it, there was dried feces all on the side of the cage and inside the cage. It makes me sick to my stomach, I have a two year old ferret at home and I would never want him living in a environment like this! There were two ferrets in there they seemed pretty young.
I recently had taken my almost a year old Pitbull to this store. I felt 100% safe to take him there after seeing other pitbulls in the store when I would go to pick up a few things. so I am at the store with my dog and we are literally checking out and a lady comes in with her dog and my dog is sitting next to me this whole time. the lady walks in and she looks at me and my dog and her dog goes to smell my dog and she yanks her dog away and then she goes on to say You better train that dog meanwhile it was her dog who approached my dog. and then she goes on to say You better get that Pitbull away from me and my dog now this lady was literally standing there causing a scene about my well behaved dog. the staff was nice to my dog and everything but that little indecent just rubbed me the wrong way. I always take my dog to the Pet Supplys in Redford because I know I can go in there without anyone judging my dog over his breed. the staff and the costumers treat him like any other dog. I wish we could of experienced that here but I really dont think I would bring my dog back in here.

We had been coming here regularly for a little while now but they recently shut and locked their doors early. I called to speak to a manager and after explaining what happened, he said Alright, and hung up the phone. No apologies or explanation was given. Absolutely avoid this place if possible.

Just updating my already stellar review... I placed an online order to have dog and cat food delivered to my house. The third party company (I know which one, just not going to mention it here), only delivered the dog food which was in a large PSP bag, marked with my name and stated 2 of 2. There was no other bag around. Before I was even able to grab my phone to call PSP Livonia, my phone rang and it was the employee that prepared my order, stating that the delivery service forgot one of my bags and he was about to go to lunch and would drop it off at my house. Whhaaaaaaa....????? Who does that?!?! Pets Supplies Plus in Livonia apparently does! I cant recommend them enough, if I could give them more stars, I would! The cat food bag also arrived carefully packaged in a large PSP bag. When I opened it up, there was a thank you card, a bone toy for my pup, a sample bag of food, and a mini lint brush. Just wow! I started ordering online since the start of COVID and every order has arrived when they said it would and carefully packaged. Thank you PSP Livonia, you have a customer for life!

You stand in the midst of the cutest Sweetsie-Pooh animals..OMG I bought a Beta his name is Dolphin his aquarium...is decorated fabulously...he is beautiful blue and purple...7Mile and Middlebelt folks Petco GREATTT STAFF...its the ONE why go any place else...old fashion shopping..with personal attention and much needed information regarding your pet...I LOVE IT!!!!!!!
Typical pet store. Prices comparable to others of the same ilk. They generally have what you need for a wide variety of pets, including tropical fish. Nothing really negative, but nothing that really stands out.
So my family is out of town and I needed to pick up super worms for my brothers lizard.. googled the time for which this PSP opened and it stated 8 am so I drove 30 minutes out of my way to come to this location and they are closed.. needless to say CORRECT YOUR HOURS!!

Needs better management employees dont seem happy there and instead of helping customers most the time they are socializing, and dont even know how to properly bag crickets and fish the feeder tank was horrible evertime I came in. God forbid you had a rude high school employee at register when trying to get in and out and you interupted her socializing to get her to do her job she than is rude and disrespectful to you. And talk to the manager hes the same way just inconsistency and inconsiderate towards customers unwilling to do better. Than there are those who should be promoted with great service apologizing on behalf of their rude horrible manager who should be fired or replaced he makes the work ethics awful by just seeinf how many employees act and towards customers it rubs off onto them. But as I said maybe only three employees and thats it who should be given better pay for good customer service and work ethics the three I can point out should take over and the manager there now should be knocked down to a regular employee learn value of customer service and re educated on communication and treatment towards employees. Theres an awful rude narcissistic blond girl who I can tell rather be socializing hates being there and just wants to cash you out fast with no respect and snappy like she has better things to do aka socialize about getting off work yet she and the older gentleman are still there. Its people like them thatvloose customers make it a horrible experience and destroy the work ethics /communication and store principles by their attitude and behavior. Oh and you kill crickets when you blow into the bagvjust bag just to hurry up the crickets die from that and shameful that this side step of not doing something right because employee wants to do other stuff is unacceptable. Thats not how you do it, poor training do it right or not at all. I was a Pet Care Assistant that did assistant manager jobs for a pet store for 5 1/2 year and a pet care sitter for all species since 2002 and from what I see theres a major change needed at this store indefinite. The one though on Coolie lake where I lived prior they were 100000% better in work ethic, responsibilities, cared and new what they were doing went extra mile for customers which kept customers coming back and a fabulous management. However this 7mile store could learn many things from them.
This place always has what I need. Even though the workers are young I always get the help I need. I buy supplies, and food for my cat here. But I should give them only once star because they would not hire my cat.

We drove 45 minutes to get a ferret and some of the staff was rude when we were asking about adopting and then we called up there since we never got there health certificate from the pet store so now we have to go back tomorrow and pick it back up.

This place is unkempt. I noticed a tick in one of there dog treat bins and told the employees at the register and told the manager and they didnt care.

Sometimes they will have a line up at the register and when they open up the next line they dont ask for next person in line to come over. Its annoying. The store is clean and staff is pretty helpful and friendly.

2022-01-27Not a good experience. I came in a few days ago for some crickets and dog food, and left an unhappy customer who will never come back. I first went to crickets and asked the cashier to call someone over, but she seemed too busy on her cell phone to help me out. I sat there for a few minutes and no one came over, so I asked again, which she finally came over. The guy finally came over and gave me my crickets, but the amount seemed off, but at that point I just wanted to get out of there. I had to get my dog food next, but I have back problems and asked the same guy with the crickets to help me with the dog food, he said he would meet me in the aisle, but he never showed up. I walked around the store trying to find him, but I found him stocking a shelf, not helping anyone. It would have been different if he got pulled away by a customer, but it seemed like he just went back to what he was doing prior. I asked him again, to which he sighed and helped me, but it seemed like he wanted nothing to do with helping me. At this point I felt like a burden there and just wanted to leave. I went up to the register and the same girl was there, and no hello or anything, she just started scanning and said nothing. Since I have back back problems, I like this store because they offer to take your dog food/heavy items out to your car, but obviously they stopped that service, because no one came up to help me. I even asked for someone to help me, which the cashier said someone was on their way, but never showed up. Eventually I just loaded my things into a cart and left. I liked shopping here, but the service has seemed to go downhill over the past few times Ive shopped here. It looks like I have to find a new store to shop at.

2022-06-24Very hands on. I had an issue with an online order. They called me and gave mea couple of options. Everything was delivered to the store the next day and I was able to pick it up prior to leaving for vacation. Great service that was above and beyond! Thank you PSP!
