We’ve been having a tough time finding a groomer that isn’t completely booked for weeks to months out so we decided to try PetSmart. I was able to get my puppy an appointment quickly. Cheyenne from PetSmart Benton Harbor was great at grooming and handling our puppy! We decided we will continue going to Cheyenne in the future! The prices are great too.
My experiences at this PetSmart have been nothing but FANTASTIC.. EVERY TIME!!! The staff and management (my forever family) are so knowledgeable, caring and friendly. They are always there for YOU and....your babies!!I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this store for ALL of your pets needs!!A +++++++
Petsmart has the best grooming around! I tried a high end boutique groomer and they got water in my pup’s ears and his skin was dry after. Petsmart has been a great experience every time! I take my doodle pup a lot, every 2 weeks for bath/nails and 6 weeks for haircut. All of the stylists know him and make him feel at ease. We get comments on the street about how nice he looks and people are surprised I take him to Petsmart! I know it’s a chain but they get really good staff, train them well and are able to give them better benefits than a boutique groomer can. Please remember to tip your stylist just as you would for your own haircut! (Bring cash as you can’t add tip on your credit card)
Only 2nd time in store, but each time was the same. Employees were extremely helpful, friendly, and efficient. Store was neat & clean each time, making my experience even more pleasant. Prices were also competitive, not to mention a good supply of choices (where other stores offer a limited choice of options).I can honestly and without hesitation recommend shopping here for your pet needs & supplies.
Took my dogs to get them groomed. When I picked them up one of their paws was bleeding from having his nails cut. The other was bleeding from the tail from getting cut. All because the young lady had an attitude about thier shot record she did not have on file. She told me I had fifteen minutes to provide her with thier shot record or I would not be getting them groomed.So I called my wife she sent me pictures of thier shot records. Thanks for taking your anger out on my pets. We will not be back.
DONT TAKE YOUR DOG TO PETSMART. THEY CUT MY POMERANIANS HAIR DOWN TO THE CORE WHICH YOU ARE NOT TO DO. HIGH CHANCE HIS HAIR WILL NOT REGROW.ITS BEEN 2 MOTHS AND I STILL SEE HIS SKIN AND ITS WINTER. IVE MEDS I HAVE TO GIVE HIM NOW,VET BILLS AND HE ALWAYS HAS TO WEAR A COAT,HE IS 5 LBS.THEY DONT KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING. IM IN THE PROCESS OF REINBURSSMENT FROM THEM OR COURT IF NO COROPERANTION. SPEND MORE MONEY GO SOMEONWHERE ELSE YOUR DOGS WORTH IT!!!
I went their originally looking for a mystery snail they were out no problem so I asked Alyssa if they had bristle nose plecos she told me they were out and I mentioned I wanted a smaller pleco she tried telling me that they grow up to 2 feet cuz somebody returned one and it was huge. I could be wrong maybe things have changed but I was told they dont take back fish especially an extremely large one. Im looking at the fish and I notice where the bristle nose plecos are at they have 2 in the tank maybe even more then Im looking at the care sheet and it says they grow up to 6 inches, of course she had to let me know that was wrong they grow up to 2 feet. She just had a know it all attitude and arguementive about everything I asked or said. I dont know everything about fish but Im not new to keeping fish either.
If you bring your precious dog to Petsmart in Benton Harbor, MI and happen to get the groomer (Sydney) you will definitely be sorry. Not only does she have a horrible attitude but she truly doesn’t care how she treats you. Can’t imagine how she treated my dog when I left him in her care. I will never return nor will I ever recommend bringing your pet there.
I was greeted by a man at the register when I walked in. I showed him that I had a coupon for a free bag of dog food on my phone. He explained I had to order on line and then pick it up here, not wanting to keep him from the register, I went down another aisle to attempt this ( my daughter usually does this).It was not more than a minute when that man brought another employee who did my online order for me, then proceeded to help me pick out the correct Canidea dog food for my pet. He assisted me with my other purchases.From the moment of my entry to my exit, I was treated with not only professionalism but also kindness and a feeling that I was more than just a number but a real live person.The first man was so observant in seeing my delima and quickly solving it. All of the staff here at Pet Smart went beyond their job in their assistance. I highly recommend this store.
Didn’t know whether to laugh or cry after picking up my puppy from his grooming appointment. What I thought would be a light trim around his face, turned into a full cut which left my puppy looking very odd and unrecognizable. All of his fluffy hair GONE. No one even called me to ask if this was okay. Now, I have to wait until his hair grows back. Groomers were nice, but never again.I will be finding grooming services elsewhere.
Groomer abused my puppy when trying to brush her,I was out side of grooming area and heard my puppy yelping. Now I can’t even get a brush close to her. Plus the cut was the worse I have ever seen. The cut was shorter in spots. And she was still in the sling after her being the for already 31:2 hours.Will never go back there.
I take 3 little dogs in here for nail trims and paw shape-ups because they wont let me touch their feet. These ladies are so good with them. I have one who is very dramatic and they handle her gently and just firmly enough to maintain control never getting annoyed. Im a nervous wreck with her cries but they are calm and collected.
Staff has nothing better to do than to follow you around in the store. Needed a new collar and brought my son in to see the snakes....was asked every 2minutes by the manager if I was ok, he always kept us in sight...never have I been treated a such.Plus, manager kept taking off his mask.
Stopped in yesterday to look for a new collar and a harness for my pup, Bear. They had LOTS of options, and everything was very organized and easy to find and shop! Employees were friendly, answered my questions, and offered to help me find anything. Will definitely be returning for any of Bears necessities! (PLUS I got to meet a dog breed I have never met before!)
Sat outside waiting for curbside ( I injured my ankle) for 35 minutes when I wobbled in the store there were 4 associates standing around talking, no customers nowhere. Then because I mention waiting 35 minutes one of the cashiers through my bag of 23 cans of cat food in my cart. Yes you only get one star!
This is a clean and well maintained store, and their staff is friendly and well informed about the products.We just got two more small koi fish for our pond, the young lady that helped us was fun and personable. The gentleman that cashed us out asked us about our pond and chatted with us while still getting his job done accurately and quickly.
Good selection of product, and a GREAT STORE LAYOUT by the company, but you really gotta stop using a stethoscope to hire people, everyone runs from you, the only person that doesnt is the cashier, only because they cannot, but give you an attitude like they would rather. Customer service traing and some accountability would go a long way here, because your people are making a lot of customers for chewy id rather not deal with a person at all vs dealing with the ugh factor these people have if you need assistance. The cost of a brick and mortar business is service...remember that, online is cheaper, but people pay more for service, there is no service here, unless you demand it. People make your business successful, sad to see this business being held back.
My young son got a juvenile bearded dragon (from a different source) who has some neurological problems. Yes, weve seen a vet.The staff at OUR PetSmart has been wonderful in caring for the beardie. Two of the young ladies have reptiles themselves and have been super supportive of my son caring for a pet with some extra needs. Between my sons love and the advice and encouragement he is getting from these young ladies, Im confident this little beardie will have the best life it can.
We order food for pickup and were given a time when it would be ready. We went there way before that time and found out her food was ready. It seems to me that their system is a little off and could be fixed. have my food was done and ready early would have been nice to be contacted so I can pick it up.
Very outstanding the way it was handled and controlled was amazing the waitresses and waiters were absolutely on popular game the bartenders were also and I want to give a big shout out to Sarah thank you so much for all of your things that you done for my husbands party the menu was outstanding I would break amend this restaurant to anybody that would be having a party thank you so much
Sour experience. Ive frequently have had both my dogs groomed here for years. Upon arrival today, the young female technician asked for updated rabies documents which I had. She said there was a problem, there wasnt an expiration date on the rabies vaccination. I pointed out the administered date was there, the strength of the booster was there,3 years. She says, But theres no expiration date.-Im sorry but it was obvious she couldnt figure it out. 10 minutes into my appointment, she still doesnt see it as it wasnt in the regular format, I tried to explain the documents information she needed was there at which time she refused to take my dogs because of my attitude, I then said I wouldnt leave my animals with her because of her refusal.Petsmart needs to hire people who are mature and who can think out of the box when things are not always just the way they expect it to be. A young manager showed up, he didnt have the time to respond as I was on my way out.
One of the groomers always looks like she drags herself out of bed. This is the 2nd time she did sloppy nail clippings on my dog. The last time, I specifically asked for nail clippings only. She did pawticure instead which is $10 more than the regular nail clippings treatments hes been getting. This time she cut too short, and he bled. Ill be taking my dog somewhere else from now on.
I will not bring my dog here again. He was completely traumatized after his experience. I’ve gone to Petsmart in Benton Harbor for months but I recently moved and Michigan City was closer. BIG mistake. He has had nothing but good reviews from any other groomer but this time they told me he was a “bad boy” because he was squirming. Of course he’s going to squirm when he’s not in good hands. Please if you love your fur baby do not take them here!

2022-04-20I normally would give 5 stars as its a fave shopping experience for me and my dog. The entire store was near and clean. The girl was super nice and the man knew where everything was. I wanted to buy my girl a couple of new shirts or dresses to add to her wardrobe, but sadly, what little was in her size had the neckline stretched taut across a firm piece of cardboard. This caused the shirt to not fit around the neck as it was then as large as her abdomen. Please hang your shirts and dresses so the necks dont stretch to where they dont fit.

2022-06-28Typical box store ... inflated prices, no customer service beyond the single cashier that I saw, usually a place that makes me thankful for Amazon. But, theres times you need a product and cant wait a day (or several) for it.

2021-12-12I love taking my 16 year old Biscuit boy to petsmart grooming! They always do an AMAZING JOB with him despite his arthritis and anxiety. The store is so clean and their customer service is off the charts :)

2022-04-14We took one of are Pomeranians there for a trim and they cut him so short that you could actually see hes skin. If they dont have the knowledge to understand that you dont cut into the second coat on that breed,then they shouldnt be able to be a dog groomer. It has been over a year and his hair still hasnt grown back.

2022-02-20There are so many good things I can say about petsmart. The first thing is that they work with the local pet adoption agency which is amazing and they take donations for food to help them as well. They are the ONLY store in the area that carries the cat litter i like and the food for one of my cats. However, when it comes to my other cat food I usually pay a few cents more than other places. Its not worth removing a star for a penny or 2 per can, its just frustrating. The service the employees give customers is amazing, the store supports the community, and no other store lets your pets come in with you like petsmart does.

2022-04-24The cashiers at the checkout are usually always nice and friendly. The fish dept. Is in need of some help. I went to get a fish and the lady that was working in the fish area didnt great us didnt even acknowledge us she completely disappeared. The fish tanks also really need to b cleaned there is algae all over the front of the tanks its starting to look like when walmart used to have fish how they would keep their fish tanks.
