If I was able to leave a review without a star at all, I would. I took in 2 large bins of clothing along with many shoes/boots. All of my clothing was name brand, purchased within the past 8-12 months, many items still tagged and free from any stains. I received a text message that my items were ready within 20-25 minutes. They accepted nothing! I was in complete shock to say the least. But I respectfully thanked them and left the store. Upon looking thru my things I then realized that under the 4 or 5 items thrown on top, absolutely no other clothing was touched. All still perfectly folded the exact way I placed them. I called the store to ask if they fold things upon returning them and was told that they don’t. So I proceeded to speak to the manager and she informed me that they only look at the first 20 or so items on the top (per corporate policy) & if they feel that there’s nothing in those particular items they are in need of or interested in then they look no further. I made it abundantly clear that even their “corporate rule” was indeed NOT followed! And if they had took the time to look thru my items they would have seen the numerous, if not all, of the clothing their store could have benefited from. I have heard in the past that this location was one to avoid, and I now know for myself, that is true! I will encourage everyone I know to never bother taking their time to walk thru the doors at the Allen Park location!
Im very disappointed in how this store runs everything. They are very unprofessional, not thorough and they say they take name brand stuff but actually dont. Tried to take some clothes that I didnt need today that were in great condition and name brand. The lady that was supposed to look at everything and properly go through everything, didnt. She dumped the bags and put them back in the bag...she told me that the reason why she didnt take anything because they werent in style I had alot of pink from Victoria secret and other name brands. If you ask me that was a poor excuse and the ladys name was Alexis for anyone else thats went through the same problem with this location.
Took brand new shoes there would accept Adidas cause it’s not a brand new pair of Jordan’s
I cannot express how much I love this Platos Closet location. Ive been going here for years now (maybe even since they first opened) and have seen nothing but improvements over the years. They stay up with the trends and the place always is organized and clean. I never walk out of the store emptyhanded. Ive only sold stuff there maybe once or twice so I cant really comment on that process but as a buyer Id say 10/10 recommend .
So I come in this morning and bring shoes and a basket of clothes. They bought my shoes but turn me away on the clothes so they smell like smoke to wash them and bring them back. So I do that and when I get here after a 45 minute drive one way the girl tells me that you can only sell one time a day. So why wouldnt you send me back with the shoes and tell me to bring it all back I was not informed that they only did one time a day. So I get turned away needing the money and all she can say is oops sorry Ill never come back here again
I will never and i mean NEVER come here again honestly. They try low calling me everytime i being clothes here and if they aren’t lowballing me then they tell me that the clothes need be cleaned or something. The clothes are fresh out the washer and dryer every time i bring them here and you can smell the fresh smell on them. If you wanted o actually make money taking clothes back to Platos. Go to Madison Heights or canton They offered me $70 for something this one offered me $20 for
I absolutely love going in and giving my old clothes. They have super cute clothes there too. I think the restrictions on the things they take are a little too much but I do love going in to sell and buy!
Wish there was a option for no stars. Honestly I probably will not go back to this location ever again. I bought over $300 worth of stuff and needed to exchange a few things out but the manager was not being very helpful at all because it was passed the 7 days I would think a even exchange would have been okay she sounded very rude on the phone wasnt helpful at all. Highly recommend not going to this location. 👌 (*she told me I could come in with the items and try to sell them)* everything has tags still attached and I have a receipt but yet wants me to waste my time driving to try to sell the items to get barely any of my money back.
Called and spoke to someone about selling a couple days ago, she told me the last time they accept selling customers is 8:30. I go today with a 50 gallon storage bin filled with a variety of clothing which I called about before hand and confirmed the specific types of items they’re looking for. I walk in at 8:10pm and a girl named “alexis” tells me that they don’t accept anyone after 8pm. I told her I spoke to someone the day prior and they told me 8:30pm and she started asking who I spoke to as if I went out of my way to remember a name. She tells me I’m not allowed to leave the store until she’s done with my bin because I came after 8pm when they close at 9pm. She finally starts going through my clothes at 8:28pm and finishes at 8:38pm. She literally went through over 150 pieces of clothing within 10 minutes barely looking at them, literally. And at the end she only chose about 5 pieces of clothing, all of which didn’t even match the styles and types they were looking for at the moment as mentioned on the phone to me while alllll the other ones were exactly what I was told they are looking for. A customer checking out at the register was watching alexis go through my huge bin of clothes in a matter of 10 minutes and as this customer was walking out, passes by me and tells me “I don’t know why she didn’t choose any of your stuff, you had a lot of really good things”. And during the entire 40 min the 3 girls working, Alexis included, barely cracked a smile while the African American girl employee gave me a blank annoyed stare about twice. Like I understand they want to leave work but this isn’t the way to treat customers. I would’ve rather been told they can’t look through my bin instead of getting a rushed halfassed job. 1 out of 5 things she chose was a windsor tank top jumper one piece that is brand new with the tag on it for $42. She offered me $4. I took that one out and accepted the $9 I received for the 4 items she kept. Absolutely ridiculous.
I brought in clothes to sell for the first time a couple of days ago. They didn’t take anything, but Alexis was very thorough in why they couldn’t take any of my clothes and made sure i had what they call a style card to help me out next time. It was very appreciated she spent so much time with me helping me understand. I will definitely be back up there to shop AND sell. Very friendly environment. All the staff was very accommodating.
I wanted to try to sell quite a few of my brand name clothes that I never wore out besides maybe once or twice tops for the first time — and what they wanted were 2 of my brand new ADIDAS, which I had paid 45 to 60 dollars for each really recently, for 8 bucks and some loose change. They were very set on that price even though they had told me at beginning they would be doing 50% to 70% off the original price which was a lie. I would not recommend selling your clothes here even if your life depended on it as they will scam you.
I was recently shopping here for a birthday outfit, the store was clean, and I found a lot of clothes for my size. I was helped by one of the staff members, her name was Ashley she was super friendly and helpful like seriously i could hang out with this girl she was so awesome! But anyways the prices were the only thing, some items I could get brand new for the roughly the same price. I know a lot of people write reviews when bad things happen but this really was a positive experience. Over all great store and keep Ashley! She was great and probably deserves a raise
Nice clothes, cool staff. Selling wasn’t easy the first time or two but i think I’m finally getting the hang of it thanks to the help of the staff here. I’m not shy with asking questions on why they can’t buy some of my stuff and they’re always very helpful with their answers. Love being able to get quick cash so easily.
Thoroughly impressed with this location. Always smells nice and the workers are friendly. Sold for the first time the other day and although they only took one item, the young girl was very thorough in explaining why they didnt take some items. I will definitely be returning now that i have there style card and can visually see what it is they look for.
Love this place! Always have such a great experience. Employees are always in such a great mood and love making sure the customer is happy. I’ve only sold a few times but I’m always happy when i do. They’re very thorough when they explain why items are coming back and why a certain item is priced a certain way. I don’t blame you if you get upset about some things being priced low, but if you’re like me, a little extra cash is worth it!
Place has a good choice of gently used designer clothing at a good price. It wasnt busy although I do wish they would change the dressing room because they are right out in the store part and theres not enough of them. But still a 5 star because the employees were friendly and they greet and ask if you need assistance which is a plus!
It was ok very picky on what they take. No VS , American Eagle, or evev dress were taken. They want items less than a year, so do not believe the web site on the items they take.
A girl named Alexis happened to be very rude as soon as I walked in the store to sell my clothes, she seemingly had a really bad attitude and was completely rude. I dropped my clothes off to sell and she was finished looking through 3 bins filled with new clothes in a matter of 10 minutes. I used to work at Platos Closet and this is exactly how we were taught not to treat customers.
Great store, had such an amazing time shopping. So much to look through, lots of great deals. I started stocking up on my summer stuff, plus a few cute outfits for my spring break that is coming up! Def coming back!
This was my first time selling my clothes here and I was immediately greeted by the staff when I walked in. They gave me instructions and told me to shop around while they went through my stuff. (There was a wait because its first come first serve)They have a lot of cute name brand clothes for really good prices. When they were done they offered me cash or told me I could trade for the items I had found while I was shopping. They explained they could not take all of my clothes that I had brought in because they were not as trendy as what they were looking for...and then explained what items they were looking for and what sells best for their location.I was not offended that they did not take all of my clothes and I gladly accepted the cash. At the end of the day, they are a business that prides themselves on buying clothes that sell BEST for THIER location. I will be coming back because they had great customer service and explained everything very well!
My first experience shopping there was great, obviously because I was spending my money there. So I decided to bring a small box of clothes in to get money for. I brought it in at 4:45, the girl who took my clothes said it would only take 45 min till they would go through my clothes. They FINALLY CALLED ME AT 8:16 and said to pick up my clothes at 8:00 preferably but 9:00 pm would work to. IT WAS PAST 8 when they called. How do they expect someone to get there in short notice before they close? It’s their way of basically robbing me for my clothes and made me sign a contract to say it would become “charity.” Grateful this happened. Now I know the truth behind this deceiving store. Also whoever the manger was, you were very rude over the phone. When I was confused and asking questions, you were short toned and annoyed with me. I will tell everyone I know In this area to NOT SUPPORT this store.
I had never been to a Plato’s Closet before I visited this one but I must say the customer service was AWESOME. I would greeted and helped immediately and I was able to leave with an outfit perfect for me, plus the style at this story is better than stores like Rue21. I definitely recommend this location to all my friends
I have nothing but GREAT things to say about this location! I recently cleaned my storage out full of clothes and brought in 4 large laundry bags for them to go through. I was nervous about that being too many, but they reassured me that it was not too much and got it done so fast, less than an hour all the while handling their customers and going through other customers clothes. When i picked up my clothes, they were sure to thoroughly explain why this location wasn’t taking certain clothing and helped me take the rest to of the clothing to the car. Special thanks to Makayla, Erin, and Fatou for being so efficient and handling me with great customer service! Definitely would recommend this location to my friends and family
I loved the energy of this store. The workers here at very attentive and aware. Each and every one of the employees here and absolutely amazing. Every time I visit this Platos I always feel like Im spending my hard earned money exactly where it should be spent. I wouldnt have it any other way. Great job team Allen Park Platos, you guys rock!
Theres a couple girls working there that were very friendly. While I waited for my clothes to be done they made sure to include me in a conversation about haunted houses. It made my experience so much better because they didn’t make it seem like there was a divide between customers and workers like most places. Wish I could’ve stayed and chatted more!

This Platos is by far my favorite store. I love how they have a large variety of name brand (many brand new) clothing for amazing prices. I wear plus size and NEVER have an issue finding clothes for myself. Their selection of shoes is abundant especially in larger sizes. The staff is ALWAYS friendly and helpful. They also have instagram only exclusive items. You just comment and they hold the item for 24 hours. If you follow them on IG you can also win gift certificates for up to $100. What keeps me a loyal customer is their dedication to their customers and their satisfaction. Once I needed a dress for a concert and they let me in to shop when they had been closed for an hour. They really know how to make ALL their guest feel like V.I.P. If youre into saving money and looking good while you do it please treat yourself to this beautiful store.
This was my first time ever selling to Plato’s Closet. I had all name brand shirts and jeans from the mall to sell (with a few other items). All of these clothes were in great condition. I guess I never suspected that the age of the clothes mattered. I was told that “We are only accepting name brand clothes that were bought within the last year.”. But ironically the only item they purchased from me was an ugly dress that I regretted purchasing in 2017 from Meijer...lol it was a complete waste of time.
I called the store in the late afternoon to find out what items they were currently buying. They told me items for the fall and winter seasons such as long sleeve shirts, sweaters, light jackets, etc. I bought in a decent amount of long sleeve shirts and sweaters the same day (just over 2 hours after I called the store). They did not accept any of my items because they were overstocked on sweaters and long sleeves. They also told me that none of my items were bohemian enough for them to purchase at the time.
I bring my clothes to sell here often but shop more. The girls always have a smile on their face even though I’m always there right when they open! Ashley and Ahlam are my Friday morning crew. They are wonderful.
I love going to Plato’s Closet in Allen Park. The staff is GREAT there. I get a warm, pleasant, friendly and great customer service from a worker there name Shayla. I love going there when she’s working. She has a beautiful and sweet personality. Shayla is so polite and very helpful. Will come there anytime she’s ther. She is very helpful. GREAT job Shayla. Plato’s Closet should be happy to have a worker like you.
They always have the best retros at low prices. If you restore shoes you can cop a pair for $35 and make em look brand new. I’m in here at least once a week so I don’t miss out on any and I’m sure those ladies get tired of seeing me walk through that door but they always greet me with a smile! A+++!
I come here for cult jeans because they are way cheaper and usually look brand new. Ashley has been helping me for a while now and always lets me know if she saw something in my size that i mite like. Keep up the good work

I just went there today with 5 filled up bags of clothes and they took none of them, it seemed like they didnt even bother to look through any of the bags, their store has tattered clothing and out dated styles and yet they want new clothing? Most of the clothes that I had were high end brands such as Guess and Armani and more. I highly suggest that you shouldnt come to this store and if there was a zero review rating I would have chose it.
They have a great selection of clothes!! Found a nice dress last minute to wear to a baby shower and it was brand new with tags still and also an employee helped me find a nice pair of heels to go with it :)

I visited this store this morning for the first time and had two wonderful ladies help me out. Alam and alexis were very sweet and helped me pick out items for my grandsons birthday. I know he is going to love the Nike jacket I bought from their. Thanks again ladies
Horrible experience. I called twice before I went to the store. I wanted to make sure i was bringing things that were currently accepting. Everything i had taken with me were like new and on their we love these brands list. Everything was freshly washed and neatly organized and folded. I had a vareity of items. This was my first time sellinv at the location. From my phone calls i was expecting a great experience. That unfortunately was not the case. My bags were barely even looked through. The ladies working were not helpful or polite. While I was waiting for them to look thru my items I was shopping and came across a pair of pants with a giant fresh booger on it. It was discusting. I took it to the counter and told the girls and they were extremely rude and just put it aside to be put back it on the floor. When they discussed my items with me they offered me just $13 for 5 items including a never used Victorias secret hoodie and a pair of Armani jeans. I took my stuff and left and will never go back. Very disappointed with the experience all around.
As an older gentleman it’s not easy keeping up with the latest styles without looking “out of place”. Ashley helped me immensely finding some clothes that were trendy but also fit my age. She was awesome!
This was my first time to this location. I have been to a few others and this is by far my favorite! I had the best experience. Evi, the manager is extremely kind and went way out of her way to be accommodating!! She makes you feel so comfortable!! She totally rocks!! The other staff are also very friendly. I can’t wait to go back!
Great place to shop, they have the friendliest staff ever compared to all day the others I’ve been too. Very neat and organized, up to date on their latest trend as well! Definitely worth the 5 stars
Staff was not friendly whatsoever but not rude either. No warm welcome from this crew. Store was organized and they went through my bag quickly but bought very little. (My clothes were stain free, steamed, recent 2016 and newer, and current styles: off the shoulder tops, ruffle sleeves, midi skirt, etc.) I brought in brands like Express, J Crew, and Guess. I assume from their selection that they’re interested in mostly lower end and teen brands Rue 21, Forever 21, Victoria Secret Pink, Target, Danskin, etc. I noticed that many items on the racks were in subpar condition. Many sweaters and tops were pilled, and looked as though they may have shrunk in the dryer. On top of that the smell was slightly off-putting in the store. I’m not quick to leave a negative review but this place really left me feeling disappointed. Clearly they cater to a younger teenage clientele and not to a young professional set.Make the drive to the Canton or the Ann Arbor stores and you’ll find more brands like Anthropolgie, Express, Vineyard Vines, Nordstrom labels, etc.
I was in the store and witness two young ladies dealing with a more difficult customer, they handled the situation so well and remained calm in a situation anyone wouldve been stressed in. still continued to give amazing service to those next in line and didnt seem to miss a beat.
Just went there this evening with a bag of mall quality clothing like they sell there and was told that I needed to bring freshly laundered clothes, which they were, the bag was still warm from the clothes being in the dryer and they only take certain clothing but the stuff on the racks was exactly what I brought in, well if the girl would have actually looked instead of untieing the bag and then retieing it back up and putting it on the shelf she would have seen that, if she didnt want to do her job then she succeed. Total waste of time, I wont shop there anymore. Completely rude employees also. No stars here!
I came in the other day for the first time and they made a big impression on me. The girls up front were shooting some nerf ball guns at eachother, at first i was really confused and then the one employee asked if i wanted to shoot the other girl and i was all for it! Definitely a comfortable and sweet environment, they make the customers feel welcomed.

It started from the phone call, i asked a few questions and she hung on me because she was tired of answering. I show up with some clean things... Good brands they sale. They took none of it, but in the shelves and racks dirty worn clothes. I seen some of the dirtiest shoes in there...but my stuff was worn? I had clothes with tags on them, i dont even shop here because of the bas customer service. But, now realizing im no longer selling with them either. Its been times i take the stuff to another store and no problems... This location is trash.
This Store was super clean and fully stocked the sales associates were allVery nice and well groomed and stylish!!! So impressed how clean the store was and how much nice quality there is!!! Keep it up

Where else can you get a brand new pair of Levis for 14 bucks they have nice nice gently used clothes in Mill ends I think the price is right
If you’re a shopaholic like i am this is definitely worth it to shop here. Everything is so cheap and if you want it even cheaper just trade in clothes you don’t wear anymore!!! The ladies here are awesome too!!

I went to the Plato’s Closet in Allen Park and it was such a great experience. I had my three year old with me and one of the staff members, I believe her name was Ashley, was extremely helpful with helping me find what I needed before my child got too antsy and she was incredibly nice to us. 10/10 recommend. If I was single I’d get her digits.
Really, really, horrible customer service. I work in a job that is similar (medical marijuana dispensary) and being in a literal leg cast, these girls told me I had to stay in the store while they went through my buy. no offer of a chair or anything. I took my buy and left. I will be going to another location. every time I leave here I am upset.

Extremely helpful staff, had a great selling experience here. First time, had no idea what to expect. Even though they did not take a thing.. the employee explained it very well in detail also offered me a card to help the next time I bring my items in. I would definitely be coming back soon
I have been to many Platos closets and this one by far is the most organized and cleanest. Even the bathroom is nicer than mine at home lol. I will definitely be bringing in clothes to sell soon!!!
They dont really take their time with your clothes. I brought brands they say they sell: never worn Calvin Klein heels , American Eagle shirts and dresses, athletic wear, and other brands purchased at high end boutiques. I find it funny how they over look well kept clothes but buy (and sell) target brand clothes and shoes, old worn in vans, and just some plain nasty old t-shirts. I understand they are a consignment store but they should have buyers who have a better eye for fashion.Wouldnt recommend if you are planning to sell your clothes. To be honest youre better off selling online.
I really like this store, their customer service is definitely better than the other locations I’ve been to. I love how they go the extra mile and definitely make the customer feel important and welcomed :)
I brought in 3 pairs of jeans from 2017 and 2018 and 2 purses from the last 5 years and the store told me they only accept clothing and accessories within the past year to stay on trend but that makes no sense at all considering trends are made daily and old trends are brought back daily. Bell bottoms from the 90s are coming back but you wont accept my 2 year old American Eagle skinny jeans in perfect condition? Skinny jeans are staples regardless of the current trends. I wouldnt recommend wasting your time to re-sell anything at this store with that in mind.
Wasted my time trying to sell some of my extra clothes. Rejected all of my Wrangler jeans in near perfect condition because theyre not trendy enough. I spent 30 minutes browsing through their merchandise and definitely didnt see anything spectacular. Youll find better quality and much lower prices at Value World.
I went here a few days ago. The sales associate barely looked at the items in the bags I brought in or their brands.... She took them in bunches, took one swift glance and dropped them back... I had summer clothes exactly like what they had on their pamphlet... They finally bought a pair of jeans - not summer style at all...
This place is terrible!!!! They dont look through the things thoroughly to buy before returning them back to the customer. I absolutely would not recommend this Platos. Please go to anyone of the location besides this one.
I went there and had a very good experience.the young lady was real nice and pollite.She even offered to take my bags to the car.
Well I traveled some distance to this store just to have all of my clothing given back to me. They have a timeline thats used to list off the clothing they accept and I know atleast two of my items were on the list. Im pretty upset but I guess I have to deal with it. Make sure to call and ask what clothing items theyre accepting before you waste your gas!
I feel this Plato’s is the most organized and clean, the employees are super helpful and when selling they actually thoroughly explain why things are coming back and they offer their style card so you know what styles to bring in! Definitely will be selling again
Love this platos they always have nice things the staff is very friendly, I even purchased something realized I didnt need it and they returned it for the same price same day :) Mens clothes are limited but still good to check I seem to get lucky when I shop for my sons! Idk about selling since I havent done that but Im assuming they do good from what I bought.
I go to Plato’s across the state to sell clothes and this one stands out for both bad and good reasons:Pros:- They did an excellent job explaining why they were sending home what they did. They gave good examples of what they were looking for in each subcategory so that I know what to bring in next time. Most Plato’s suck at this, but I was pleasently superised as they explained my buy.Cons:- The buyer uncerimoniously shoved the passes of my once-well-folded clothes into my bag. I spent time steaming the clothes so that they would be in a good condition when I brought them in. Now they are wrinked again and the buyer showed no care for the pass items. Not happy.- They wouldn’t let me sell unless I gave them my driver’s license number. That was new to me as I have been asked in prevoius stores but never forced to give it in order to sell. When I asked why they need this in addition to my name and address already comfirmed on my drivers license, they said “for legal reasons” and that was that. Legal reasons? That’s just not true and I don’t appreciate the dishonesty. I simple answer like “it’s just store policy” would have left a better taste in my mouth.- Apparently if when they are overstocked in a subcategorty they will simply not take any more of the item. No matter the style or condition. This time it was tanks. Even though the tanks I brought exactly matched the description of what they said they were looking for in short sleeves (i.e., statement tops, tie-ups, distressing, etc.) they passed on all of them. That’s fine if that’s you’re buying model but it just seems like you will be turning away a lot of great pieces and keeping your not-so-great pieces you bought when you were lower in inventory and are now back-stocked. That’s just my two cents.
Let me start off by saying this was a complete waste of time! And the workers there were so unfriendly, and by that I mean no greeting and no smile! I have been here twice, my second time today, and I only went here because I wanted to sell some good quality clothing. I had a variety of named brand clothing that came from JCPenny, Kohls, Fovever 21, and Delias, that I just didnt want. Also some nice wedges that were a.n.a brand! Out of my six heavy bags, they only took THREE shirts!!! I was so disappointed, and I also felt like I was discriminated against because there was other people of color trying to donate some of their good quality clothing, and they refused their clothes too. I noticed there was only white women working there, so to me, they are very Particular in who and what they want to buy from and hire. While I was waiting for them to get done looking through my clothes, I was also looking at some of there clothing, and let me tell you, those clothes were NOT as in decent condition as my clothes were in! I seen leggings that used to be black and by that I mean so faded out! and their shoes were in poor shape and smelled! This experience did teach me a lesson, and that is, IF I EVER I want to donate my clothes (hardly worn) I should have a yard sale or donate it somewhere else for no price at ALL!
I went to sell some of my old clothes and shoes that I no longer wore, which I brought a lot. About 5 bags full. & When I arrived they told me itd take about 45 minutes - a Hour. So I waited and came back and they still werent finished going through them so they said another half hour to 45 minutes. So I waited again and came back, JUST for them to tell me they couldnt take any of my clothes (which was a lot to choose from, wide variety of shirts, jeans, leggings, sweats, and also shoes, high heels, jordans, sandals, etc.) I was beyond irritated because I called ahead and asked if they bought used clothes and they said yes and their reasoning for not taking any of my stuff was because it looked worn and some had dog hair on them? Which I dont even have a dog, I was beyond mad for wasting my entire day trying to help myself and the store out. I needed a little extra cash so I thought why no, and do that but nope, I wouldnt recommend this place to anyone. All of their clothes on the floor look used anyways so I didnt understand why they couldnt take any of my stuff!?! Has this happend to any other customers? #RantOver
The money they try to offer you for your clothes is hilarious, took expensive clothes that were only worn once and they offered me not even 10% of what it cost me. Sell on ebay and youll make much more money. The selection there is nice though and its a pretty clean store.
I went into Plato’s closet In Allen Park MI for the first time the other day to donate my daughters clothes not knowing it was an adult store so I start browsing around looking at different items and every time I look up there was a Caucasian lady by the name of LUCY that kept following me everywhere I went, and once we made eye contact she just smiled at me. Long story short my 2yr old daughter put some lipstick in her coat pocket which I took out immediately and put it right back. Soon as I was ready to make a purchase the same lady that was following me around the store asked if this is all I’m purchasing for today, I answered yes then she yelled out, “Now what about that makeup I saw you put in your pocket are you getting that as well” I told her I didn’t have anything in my pockets I even checked my daughters pockets again in front of everyone and nothing was there so I ask her did you see me put makeup in my pocket she answered “yes I did” Once I asked to speak with a manager that’s when she told me that the manager was the one that actually saw me do it and the manager left for the day so I asked to speak to someone else which actually ended up being that manager that said she saw me do it. Once the manger ERIN came to talk to me that’s when she said she saw my 2 yr old put the makeup in her pocket she said they had a discussion on how to set me up so they decided to wait until I got in line to confront me in front of everyone that was in line behind me I told them that if they seen my daughter put anything in her pocket they should have said something to me so I can handle it right away instead of falsely accusing me and my daughter for stealing In front of people so they apologize to me and offered a store credit for me to use at a later date. I was Embarrassed, humiliated, and tears of anger was rolling down my face. I declined the offer, returned my items and I will never shop there again.😡 oh and when I asked for their corporate number the manager named ERIN TOLD ME THAT THEY DONT HAVE ONE AND GAVE ME A FAKE COMCAST EMAIL ADDRESS TO FILE MY COMPLAINT so I had to find their corporate number thru google smh..... ERIN AND LUCY Both Lied To me 😪
Staff is super rude. They have a 25 item limit but does not have it posted anywhere on their website or social media or so they disclose it when you call ahead so you waste your time driving out there. Staff will also rudely tell you that even if you have 26 items they won’t even bother looking at your items. This is exactly what staff told me. I will never sale or buy here again.
Great staff, answered all my questions. Even though i did not bring in items today, just explaining how they take items in, what they look for and what they are not looking for. Very clean store, well maintained!
Was shopping with my daughter the other day who was being a bit of a hand full and the young ladies working actually sat with her and let her color so i could get some shopping done. An experience i have never had, and certainly won’t forget.
I carried in a lot of classy expensive clothes and I said to the clerk I have more in the Car and she said bring them in I was exhausted carrying the stuff in. Then this Snotty nosed brat said we cant take any of this stuff its not in style so she shows me a pic of the stuff they take and I look around at racks full of cheap out of date clothes that even the Salvation Army would turn their nose up at. I said these clothes are cheap and ugly thats why you cant move them they belong in the trash, then she hinted about what the young set likes but thats not what was in the store. It was all cheap rubbish. Stay away from this dump if you care about looking cool run from this place. The only thing she took was a pair of slip on cheap shoes Ive been trying to get rid of for 2 years. I think she ran into the back and put them aside for herself. She wasnt fooling anyone. Stay AWAY from this dump. I found another place with some taste
I came here yesterday to sell and there were four workers on the floor one girl told me a 15 minute so I was cool with that and then a few mins after two girls went to the back somewhere and never came back so my stuff didnt take fifteen minutes it took more because it got a lil busy and there was only two girls that was out there cashing people out Im not mad at the two girls that were cashing but the other two where did yall go? While they were cashing one of yall couldve been looking through my items.. 😒 This place is unorganized
First time ever shopping at any Plato’s Closet store and I must say my experience here was great, such a warm and welcoming environment the girls that work here were so nice and very attentive :)
Love the energy I felt when I walked in this place. Needed a nice hoodie for the season easily found at a nice price. A ahlam lady helped me find my size, Ill be coming back soon.
Ripped, dirty and over priced shoes, lularoe leggings for $22 when all the other platos closets in the area have them for $5-10. So many items marked not for sale, and the staff was rude. Wont be shopping here again.
Always find amazing items here, especially the shoes! The workers are all very friendly, one named Marisa is always very helpful every time I stop in.
I love their Instagram page and that you can hold items on there. I always love seeing the pink stuff they have before they put it out! And the outfits are really cute too.

Platos is a very neat environment with great and helpful services. I remember one in particular employee, I think her name was Makaila. Who helped me decide on the perfect outfit. I am definitely going back!

This place is TERRIBLEEEEEEE. i got me a nice good, perfect, VERSACEEEEEE jacket and i tried turning it in. waited 20 minutes and theyre like this is a very good brand, in perfect condition, so were going to offer you 10 dollars UHMMMMMMMMMMMM. i took my jacket and left. and then they ripped a part of my jacket. sad.
My visit to this door was great, I brought my clothes in for consignment, I filled out my info at the kiosk I shop why they went over my clothing and it was as simple as that no fuss no muss I would recommend going to the store anytime
This platos closet is the best out of all the ones ive visited in the past. The staff is so amazing ! Ive sold their a few times, and they are great at explaining their process, unlike the other locations ive visited. The overall store is just warm and welcoming
I love platos closet!! I just recently discovered it and I have gone back so many times its not even funny. They laugh every time Im in because of how often Ive been there. Their service is beyond amazing and I, since then, have gone to another platos and it didnt even COME CLOSE to the service and quality of their clothes... I have spent so much money BUT gotten so much stuff! I would definitely reccommend this store for all your shopping needs!! :)

This store is terrible! complete waste of time. I brought in a huge bag of nice mens clothing and they rushed me out of the store in five minutes. the same two girls have done this when I bring in clothing. over the past year you can tell that business has gone down for them.

If your trying to actually make a lil money off your clothes that dont fit anymore.. dont take them here. They offer like 1 dollar an item.. then sell it for 8 to 10. Better off trying poshmark or fb marketplace or even craigslist.

One of my friends was accuse of stealing and confronted her in front of everyone. Lucy and Erin said they saw her 2yr old put makeup in her pocket without her knowing. They should have let her know what her two year old did instead of accussing her of stealing. Bad Bad customer service and yes you were reported.

This platos closet is the best one in Michigan. The staff is always helpful and freindly. You can always find fashionable trends and just all around cute clothing at an amazing price. Compared to platos closet in ann arbor, or canton, this one is well maintained and ive had the best service at this one. I will always go back!

Platos Closet Allen Park is an excellent resource for the area, I find that it is a friendly atmosphere and there are a lot of quality gently used items to choose from at reasonable prices. They are a great alternative to donating you used clothing or to having a yard sale to get rid of your current unwanted items.

My hands was full I sat my item down on the desk a customer walk in grab my item & said it was hers after I spent over a hours shopping in the store. The staff was no help . 2022-05-23Brought high end designer clothes in- I would not recommend. For $200 pair of boots, still in box and in excellent condition they offered $10. No thank you. Im better off selling online.

I brought in clothes that were brand new and in good condition and they say just because it’s more than a year old they won’t take it? are you kidding me? Some were not even a year old. Why are they so picky. Everything I brought was in good condition and no stains. Never going there again I waisted my time there.

2022-04-02I just had to leave a review . First things first they have improved their store so well it’s soMuch space I felt overwhelmed but in a good way. I end up spending 145 in there and went for just some pants that tells you already what you need to know. They had great customer service and great finds. I will bring my clothes up to see how good the buy is but from a customer shopping stand point I give it 5 stars.

2022-06-21Brought a few bags of used clothes with a few new, never worn items and a box of shoes to sell. They told us this stuff is supposed to be in baskets even though I went in the website beforehand and it said nothing about that, but they accepted it for review anyways and they told us it would take about a half hour, and that they would send us a text when it was all ready. We never got a text so we ended up waiting longer than we had to and they told us they weren’t accepting any of it, I could clearly see all of our clothes there unopened. There were a few items in there I guarantee they would want… clearly the staff was just too lazy to actually do their job. I almost never blame the workers since 90% of the time they’re just doing their job but I cannot think of a reason for this incident not being the fault of the staff on-site.
