Pods delayed my delivery by two weeks and blamed me, when their system lost my form’s repeatedly. They will do nothing to make your experience easier, I was lied to multiple times about my pod being expedited. Go through a different moving company, this one is not worth the hassle.

Comment: I had a move scheduled for a Saturday drop off and the day before at the end of the day I received an email saying that my move had been canceled. I immediately called them to see what the issue was and what could be done about it. I was told that this thing happens and that they can usually rectify it and deliver next day. Unfortunately when I called in the morning they told me that Im SOL and theres nothing that could be done despite being told previously that it can be fixed. The biggest problem with them is their lack of any form of communication skills they will only notify you of issues by email and even then by the time you see that there is an issue its to late to fix it, when a call could have the issue fixed in 5 minutes tops

Comment: I placed an order on July 7. I was told my POD would be delivered to my home August 5. I arranged my whole life based on this date. I was told I would get an email the day before a drop off at my originating home. I never received an email. I had to keep checking my account. After the POD was picked up, I received an email telling me to schedule a drop off date at the new home. WHAT? That date was already given to me! I click on the calendar and the next available date is August 17!!! WHAT!??That is 10 days LONGER than I was told! I call the company, I am given a ticket # for the request for the delivery date and told I would receive an email within 72 hours. EMAIL NEVER CAME! I CALL AGAIN! I am now told the same story the last guy told me 4 days ago! NO ONE in the company is making phone calls within the company to solve the problem! Meanwhile I am out of a job and sitting in an empty house with NOTHING since EVERYTHING I own is sitting in this POD that NO ONE can tell me when it is arriving at my house!I see class action lawsuit!

Comment: Highly disappointed. We used PODs to move and have had a terrible experience.They lost our container for a month! If it wasn’t for us tracking it down it would probably still be lost. They made little effort to help us and we’re never responsive. We’ve spent over 10 hours on hold. The day they were suppose to deliver the container it never showed up. We had to call and find out PODS was charging us for the added time (extra month when lost) and until the additional $2,500 is paid they won’t deliver the container. This is UNETHICAL. We’re going on two months with this nonsense.

Comment: This is the worst experience we have ever had with any company. The communication on pricing was non existent. They told us there was a payment plan, but then took the whole amount out of our account at once. We called to clarify and talked to 4 different people and they all told us different things/prices. One even confirmed that we only had a certain amount left (so we made the payment) and then later another charge came out of our account! We then asked for a manager or someone else to talk to and they said they would have someone call us back… no call back which was no surprise to us. Just to clarify, we are okay with paying for the service… what is not okay is the 4 different prices they told us for the total (not including the original price we were told.) Absolutely ridiculous. Then to make matters worse they have delayed our delivery date. Everyone we talked to was very nice and professional, but something is clearly wrong.

Comment: I was very pleased with my experience. This is the second time I used PODS. This time it was necessary to store my belongings for a while due to my home renovation. I was going to use a professional mover but had difficulty finding someone who would store my belongings. I hired professional loaders and unloaders and all I had to do was pack the boxes. The drivers were very attentive to placing my PODS (I had 2) and only wish I had known I could have had 2nd POD delivered when 1st one was picked up. When the driver mentioned it and I called to arrange it, all slots were full. (This would have shortened my move by 1 day). Other than that I highly recommend PODS. But if you have specific days you need PODS picked up ir delivered cll way in advance. They book up fast.

Comment: Ive used PODS previously before and had great interaction. That past experience led me to recommend them to others as well as use them again. Customer service has been extremally poor when asking for weight tickets after being very explicit about needing them due to the fact is that is how I would be reimbursed. They did not provide me with weight tickets as needed and have been unresponsive to remedy the situation. If looking to move and needed additional documentation I would suggest using another service.****************************************************UPDATE: After this post they responded to email them. I did that day. They asked for my account pin and I responded same day. It has been 4 weeks since hearing anything from them. Additionally, I had submitted a claim with them as well about 5 weeks ago for the same issue. They will say 48 to 72 hours you will receive an update, but that has yet to happen. If you are military and executing PPM, I highly recommend using another company.

There are 4 drivers that are fantastic. I already mentioned one below, Yolanda is another who kept me in the loop and wanted to help. Trey worked hard to help us as well, there is another guy and I cant remember his name but each connected with us and took care of us like family. Thank you all!I write this review because of our interaction with our driver AJ who delivered and picked up our containers. AJ is professional and kind and had the ability to make us feel like we were in good hands. He exudes joy, has a winning smile and is just full of light. You can tell he takes pride in his work. His expertise at placing and moving the containers is matchless. He is good at what he does. When we get into our new place, I plan on requesting him for delivery.

Comment: The most difficult part of the experience with PODS was the communication during delayed transit. We delayed our future plans by 3 weeks due to PODS poor communication regarding the delay as a result of bad weather during transit. Calling someone to assist was not helpful, they could not do anything. PODS rescheduled my delivery on their own timeline without my knowledge, though I could change the schedule online. Additionally, when I had to add another pod the company had to create a second order stating that since my POD had been delivered to my first address to be packed it could not be part of my original order it had to be a separate order, which cost more money than if it was just added to my order. When speaking to agents the second order delayed communication as they had to log out of one order and log into another and their computer systems are slow.I only had one item break in transit and the website is VERY confusing as to how to file a claim.Overall PODS was cheaper than all other agencies, their drivers were amazing, but the communication when schedules are delayed and the inability to add on to an order means I will not use PODS again in the future.

Juan and James were so comforting and helped relieve my stress. We knew we’d probably be at max with our 16ft Pod and would need a 7ft added to our order that day. Juan made a call to his boss to see if this was possible. Juan then came over to let me know his boss approved our request and they will do all they can to make this move better for me. 5 Star service as always and why my husband and I use Pods for every move. During this time I was charged out of my bank the cost of the moves and fighting with PODS to get my money back as 1 move totally cancelled, the 2nd move was changed and the 3rd was completed. They have over $12000.00 of my money and it is a nightmare!!!The most frustrating is that one department cannot help and transfer you to another which cant help and we get rude associates.Based on this experience I would not recommend PODS to anyone that is trying to move with changes! Comment: The pod I rented was perfect for what I needed. The delivery and the driver (s) were very good. The bad news is this company is difficult to get a hold of by phone and you can expect to be put on hold for half an hour or longer just to talk to them. Their online chat option is useless. You will have to wait up to three hours to have a chat with a rep. I didn’t wait that long before I disconnected. They were unable to come close to meeting the date of pick up for the pod, even though I was told that would not be a problem when I booked it. As a result our driveway was blocked for an additional 11 days just waiting for pick up. Apparently this company is understaffed and Is unable to handle customer needs and efficient manner. Very disappointing.

I then had to take all of my items out of my 16 storage container and load it into a not broken one by myself at the warehouse just to be able to ship my things to my new address. They sent me a notification saying my pod was delivered. My pod simply wasnt delivered, and after calling, we discovered that they had actually misplaced my pod. As a logistics company, this is horrible. I would strongly advise against using this company. I recommend exhausting all resources to use a different company when able. Awful service, awful experience.

Comment: PODS was recommended to us for our cross-country move; San Diego, California to Destin, Florida and we couldnt have been more satisfied. They give you an accurate up-front price, accurate and adequate sizes of the containers based on your needs as well as the exact pick up and delivery times on both ends. A cross-country move is so very stressful and PODS alleviated an enormous part of that stress in knowing that all of our belongings were together, locked in 2 separate PODS to which only we had they keys and that it was safe. Weve moved many times in our lives and there has always been at least one broken or lost item ... until this time. One might think PODS is more expensive than other option but when you consider not having to replace or fix anything, having your belongings picked up and delivered on YOUR schedule, not to mention the price that they give you is the price it will ultimately be with no surprise add-ons or unexpected fees. If youre Military, there is discount which we appreciated. Were in our new home now with all of our belongings, safe and sound and so grateful to PODS for making it, actually, easy.

Comment: My experience with PODS was 100% positive. I arranged for the delivery of my POD 1.5 months before my move. This gave me plenty of time to carefully pack and store my own items the way I wanted. For the low cost of the monthly rental, I saved SO much over having full-service movers do the job. Because I had the POD, I was able to stage my home to show at its full potential with no clutter. Once sold, I was able to continue packing and arranging my POD according to the helpful YouTube videos they provided. My cross-country delivery was flawless. Every aspect of this experience was conducted by professional and helpful agents and there wasnt a single missed appointment. I fully recommend this service to anybody moving anywhere.

Comment: It should have been made clear that pods will not deliver to a city address with on street parking before I made the commitment to using this service. I had been quoted for a delivery of the pod to my original address, storage in their facility, and delivery to my new address. Four days before they were supposed to deliver to my new address I was told they could not longer deliver because it was on street parking. That being said, I do not think that I should have been charged the amount that was quoted as there was not a second delivery. I had to rent a moving truck and do the final haul myself, instead of the last delivery that I had scheduled. I was also told that my pod would be in the parking lot of the PODS facility when I arrived that morning but when I got there it was not there. I asked the man at the front office where my pod was and he instructed me to go behind the building to ask someone over there. So I walked behind the building where there were tons of forklifts driving around, I had to wait a long time before I could wave someone down. Finally after getting someones attention, they told me I wasnt supposed to be there as it was unsafe (I shared these sentiments) and I let them know the front desk man told me I had to. He was upset but promptly apologized and got my pod. It was anything but an easy process with pods. They also pushed my delivery back a few days (can be expected).

Comment: They refuse to prorate monthly storage fees. If you have your container redelivered on the first of the month, they will charge you the storage fee for that entire month. So they are going to charge me a few hundred dollars to rent a container that I already returned to them, that is theft in my eyes. Had a positive experience up until this point, but that is so ridiculous it ruins the entire thing. Won’t be using PODs next time.

Comment: Absolutely the worst experience I have ever had. PODS came a week later than expected and when they were unable to drop both off in the driveway I was told that if I empty the first one, that when they deliver the second POD they would swap them out...complete lie. Second POD shows up and even the driver cant understand why he would drop off a full POD when there is an empty one there.After over 2 hours on the phone they charged me $100 same day cancellation of the full POD, returned it to the storage facility and left the empty POD in my driveway until a later date. Common sense says to charge me the $100 (maybe) and return the empty container as a posed to having a customer watch their belongings leave after waiting an extra week to be able to move in to our house.I would not only never recommend this company to anyone, but I will be strongly discouraging anyone that I hear thinking of using them to not waste their time.
