I initially spoke with the Service Manager, Wilson that said he would send photos and get back to me. Multiple attempts were made to obtain vehicle photos and to speak with someone and Wilson never returned calls or emails. Terrible customer service.

One of those visits my vehicle was at the dealership for a week and was not worked on due to the service writer inputting the wrong customer information on the paperwork. The service writer provided me with another customer’s work order/ personal information. They were supposed to pick up my vehicle last week and did not due to “the service manager having to give the loaner vehicle reserved for me to another customer, because he had to” according to the service writer. The communication is poor and I have to reach out to them to follow up. This place has the worst service I have ever experienced.

Comment: I serviced my 2024 GMC Denali for a couple of recall(s) and it’s first oil change.Work spaces were not clean or organized.Customer lounge was dirty and dusty. Quality Customer service was not a present among any representatives.I was lied to about my truck ready for pick up and had to wait an additional hour to receive it. When I received it, both door handles had oil and greasy finger prints on them.No courtesy car wash.No parking at this location for customers.Literally parking lot was jammed packed with vehicles for sale.Overall, I will not be returning to this location for any service. It was evident that many representatives did not want to be there, and made me feel like I was inconveniencing them.You would think that after spending over $100,000 on a GMC vehicle that the service and quality would be on point and customers service would be incredible, instead I felt like I was back in a shady local car dealership. I expect more from any GMC dealership.

Comment: As an active duty service member recently returning from deployment, I entrusted my 2017 Chevy Tahoe to Premier Carlsbad GMC for a transmission reflash, expecting professional and reliable service. Unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory.Firstly, the lack of communication was glaring. Upon picking up my vehicle, I was not informed about any issues found during the service. This negligence could have had serious implications if I had driven off without knowing about potential problems. Furthermore, the exhaust, which had no issues upon turn-in, was found to be problematic after their service.Moreover, it became evident that there is a disconnect between the staff and the lead mechanic. Important details and updates were not communicated, leading to confusion and frustration on my part. Despite requesting a full diagnostic when I dropped off my vehicle, they only conducted a point inspection. The basic expectation of receiving the service I requested was not met, reflecting poorly on the shops attention to customer needs and thoroughness.Additionally, Premier Carlsbad GMC did not provide the inspection paperwork until I specifically requested it. This lack of proactive communication and transparency is unacceptable, especially for customers who rely on their vehicle’s optimal performance.Overall, my experience with Premier Carlsbad GMC was disappointing. The lack of effective communication, failure to provide requested services, and overall negligence have led me to lose confidence in their capabilities. As a returning service member, I expected better. I do not recommend this shop for vehicle services based on my recent experience.

Comment: I came in for an oil change and GMC system upgrade. Service was unable to do the upgrade as they said the system was down. But had no idea when the system would be up and thus unable to schedule. The oil change was messy and tech left a big grease stain on the front of my truck. Also they did not clean around the filter once installed. I drove directly home and now have a small oil stain in my driveway. Finally, I keep the interior of my truck extremely clean. Even with the paper floor mat and plastic seat cover, your crew managed to get mud all over the interior. I can’t believe your service area is not fully paved. Needless to say, I was not impressed with my first service.

Comment: I did not have a good experience with the purchase of a used 2015 Tesla Model S at Premier GMC Buick of Carlsbad in May 2023. First they advertised the car as a Model S75 for $34,000 which was a reasonable price. But when I actually saw the car it was a Model S70 which is a less valuable car, but they refused to negotiate on price. I was okay with paying the extra because they advertised that the car came with a six month warranty and had an exhaustive safety checklist run on the car by their mechanics to ensure it was in perfect operating order. When I picked up the car on May 22, 2023, the trouble started right away when I tried to get the built in navigation system to work. As it turned out, it was an issue with the Main Control Unit which was going to be up to $2,500 to repair. After numerous calls to the dealership, I was told that issue was not covered by their six-month warranty. They would not take the car back at that point. Nor would they address a suspension issue that soon became appparent (and within six months after purchase). I was forced to fix that on my own too, as it was a safety issue. Finally, the windshield washer pump was inoperative (another safety issue), even though it was checked off on their checklist and thanks to the suspension issue, the tires were worn out of limits even though their checklist indicated that over 50% of the tire life was left. As a result of all of the above, I can not recommend buying anything from this dealership!

There was a slight breakdown as I had scheduled my appointment through my onboard GMC App from within my truck, but the service advisor was not able to find it. He did not let that stop him, he continued to help me and made me feel welcomed as a customer.

Comment: Made me wait for an hour and a half for oil change and told me they could not find the wheel lock in the console or the glove box. When I checked in the vehicle service person, DAN said I did not have locks on it. I really didn’t know. When I got my truck back, I looked for myself in the consul and the lock kit was there. I went into the front and told somebody how disappointed I was. When I got home, I noticed there was some grease film on the front of my truck from the Tech so I popped the hood to take a look and there was rodent debris all over the radiator shroud. A lot of it there was mice or rat poop on top of the manifold. They didn’t tell me! They didn’t write anything in the notes on the paperwork! 80k for that truck. First 5000 miles take it in for service so disappointed. They said they looked but I don’t think they did hell there was rodent debris and mice or rat feces all over the engine compartment, and they didn’t tell me! They don’t care! So when I was in the front talking to someone, I don’t know who he was, the GM was in his office and saw that I was upset and I did drop an F bomb and he kicked me out. There was no one in the show room no customers it was early in the morning and he yelled through the glass at me to get out. He didn’t want to hear what I had to say or what I was upset about .

Chase Kirkpatrick in the Sales & Leasing Department is equally impressive.My job performed on the Yukon Denali was executed in a most timely and effective manner, AND this was a freebee factory recall job. They all did a first rate job, FOR FREE OMG!The FREEBEE customer coffee, tea and hot chocolate machine is the coolest one I have ever seen too. Their lounge area in the showroom is really spacious, quiet and comfortable.The sales lot has many really nice clean vehicles, new and used both, and all offered at competitive fair prices in my not so humble opinion.Nobody tried to rudely hustle me, as previously experienced many times over the years at other dealerships, and I am a very old dude now. I spoke with several of their other personnel as well, and not a jerk could be found. Unbelievable but true!If ever I buy another GM product it will be from Chase Kirkpatrick in Premiers Sales Department. The salesperson said that the add-ons could be taken care of. I restated that I would not pay for ANY dealer add-ons. He said, I can take of it. I drove an hour to the location. After an hour and a half of going back and forth on the price 50% of the add-ons were still there ($1300 over the posted price on-line). I asked why the add-ons were still in the price. The salesperson stated they needed to be there. I asked for my key (on a potential trade that they low-balled $8K under two other dealerships). Beware of misleading pricing and deceptive valuation of trades.

Before we even started walking to the car he asked us how much we wanted to spend on the car. We told him we probably wanted to try leasing and he immediately said buying was better. He kept asking us financials and told us if we wanted to lease a truck we would have to put $30000 down. This guy just kept on going on and on about money. Probably assumed we don’t have any. Long story short, he did even open the door to let us look at the truck. We ended up leaving within 5 min. I hope he knows we’re going to the next dealership because we’re trying to get a car asap before our baby is born. His loss, or I guess the dealerships loss.He also informed us he has only been working there for three weeks. This man couldn’t sell me gas at a gas station if he tried.

Comment: I came to the dealer left my truck to some maintenance, when I get back to pickup the windshield was broken, I called Jay (service assistant) right the way and let him know, was Friday so he told me to call him again on Monday that he needs to talk to the manager, called talked to the manager he told me that he need to check (all good so far) than I return to change some parts that broke on my truck and asked them to replace the windshield, guess what? Yes they didn’t and even worse Jay wasn’t there to delivery the car to me, no one talk to me about it, called in, guess what? Manager is out of state training. It will cost me only $100.00 (tru my insurance) it’s not about the money, is about respect, felt so disrespected, that I’ll never going to put my truck back there.

Comment: The sales person, Zac, provided false information on one of the selling points for the vehicle we purchased. We purchased a 2023 GMC Yukon and we were told it was a flex fuel vehicle. We asked a week prior to our visit to GMC, we asked the day we went to look at the vehicle and we asked while we were taking it for a drive. It wasn’t until we made the purchase and took the vehicle home that we began reading the car manual. It was very clear that the vehicle was not a flex fuel. We called the sales person back and reiterated our question about it being flex fuel and he still said that it was. After letting him know what was on the car manual he then did his research. He made a sale by providing false information. Had we gone by his word and put flex fuel into our brand new car, we would have destroyed a brand new vehicle. No one at GMC was able to provide options or remedy the situation we were in. At this point, the trust between GMC and us was ruined. What else did this salesperson lie about to get the sale? It took 2 days and we had no word from GMC until we called again. George, the general manager, tried to provide a solution but it has been a week and we haven’t heard anything back from GM. This was our first time purchasing a new car and it was a very sour experience.

It was such a nightmare to schedule the installation because staff were unfamiliar with the items on the due bill, despite talking with several people on different occasions. Once the step sides were installed, we realized they were not the ones that we were expecting. Apparently, the automatic ones that fold down only come on the truck from the factory so we got these hideous step sides. We should have purchased the truck from North County GMC instead. I was first introduced to the general manager Eddie, who was super friendly and attentive, right to the point of what I was looking for which as you know is better for the customer to cut the sales time in half. He then introduced me to Danny Chavez. He was nothing short of pleasant and extremely sweet. They didn’t try to sell me on the most expensive car. Comment: DO NOT GO HERE. If I could rate it negative stars I would. Absolutely the worst experience I have ever had. 6 months after I purchased a truck from them it is still breaking down. I have brought it to them twice, they said they fixed it, twice. My family and I were stranded in Oklahoma for days because of a major issue they never fixed. Despite them telling me that they fixed it both times. I will actively steer people away from them. I am a veteran small business owner and this truck was part of my main source of income. Nobody asked if I needed water or coffee etc.There are two staff people there, one in the service lounge, and one in the sales lounge. Neither could tell me the status of my vehicle. In fact i was told that was not their job. No additional help offered. Simply playing on their phones. They are worthless in my opinion. Why not terminate them and give a raise to your service staff? The thing that upsets me the most and the reason I gave such a low rating is that I was told the car had heated seats and that it wouldnt take long to get them as they were on order. I have mentioned it several times but no one at your dealership will find out what is going on with the order. With a cold winter here and my arthritis in my back I really count on those seats. I wouldnt have gotten that car if I had known that no one in your dealership cares about taking care of issues. If someone doesnt give me an update on when those seats will be available I will seek legal counsel to find out what can be done to cure the situation and I can assure you if I do I will let everyone I know just what kind of service you provide.

Comment: I was very disappointed with my experience at Premier GMC Carlsbad. I brought in our 2020 GMC Yukon XL Denali with 35,900 miles to address several defects that I thought would be covered under the 36,000 mile warranty. Jay Lind informed me that the warranty had expired a few days prior and only power train would be covered. (Note that I had called in to schedule the appointment several days earlier and was not informed of the pending expiration). No options or concessions were offered and I was charged full price for repairs of $1000+ (minus a coupon I brought in). I spoke with several dealers including the dealer I bought the vehicle from (used in Nov 2021) and all of them claimed that they would offer some leniency as part of good customer service and satisfaction for the good of the long term business relationship. Ultimately I was in the wrong, but due to the way this experience was handled I will not be giving any further business to Premier.

I’m happy with the quality of service in that regard.My only complaint is that their system doesn’t know if you have an extended warranty. Comment: I have had all service done here on my vehicle since it was new in 2019. Always had good service - until the last visit. Went in for a regular oil change and arrived with a low tire - so they took a look at the tire - told me I had a nail and that it was straight-forward and easily patched and repaired so they did that. They made a point of telling me this information. Next day tire was flat. Long story short, I took the tire to the tire store where I bought the tire (10,000 miles ago) and they immediately ascertained that the repair was done incorrectly and rendered the tire unrepairable. The dealership now said - well the nail went in crooked and so the patch didnt take.....when confronted with the fact they told me the opposite when the fixed it - they said yes we must not have repaired it correctly. They offered to refund me $35 and sell me a new tire at cost - but they couldnt source the same tire so it will have to be a different tire. The tire store where I bought the tire had me a new tire (same tire) the next day and I had it replaced - costing me $285.00. Premier admitted to me they botched the repair and ruined the tire - and for $285.00 ran a regular customer out the door - and threw some arrogance and rude behavior in on top of it. I keep my vehicles an average of 12 years and usually they have 200,000 miles on them when I am through. Thats a lot of oil changes, a lot of routine maintenance and a lot of unforeseen repairs we all encounter - all of which I would have had done at this dealership. Now I have a check for $35.00 they sent me and a really, really bad feeling about the folks at Premier Buick GMC in Carlsbad. Im not worth $285.00 to them - and my future business means nothing to them. Bad customer service, and bad business practice. I have thus far explained in person this incident to 13 of my friends and business associates. I imagine that number will climb into the hundreds. Google notified me just last week that my reviews on their platform have been seen by over 10,000 people - and all but one or two of them were glowing, positive reviews - including for this dealership. Stay away from Premier Buick GMC in Carlsbad - they arent very good at math or fixing tires. Anyone know of a good GMC dealership I can take all my business? The man of the hour over there is service manager, George Serrano - somebody needs to give him a calculator and tell him about the relationship between customer service, repeat business and business he will never see......

We went to another dealer before we stopped by here but we were completely disappointed. It was the best decision to give the Premier a chance! If there are more stars I would give them! I would recommend the Premier at Carlsbad to the military families out there if you are looking for car please go to them! Because when they said “Thank you for your service sir!” They meant it! I felt like I had known the staff for years and felt so comfortable making such a big purchase. Lisa guided me through the sales experience completely virtually and was so prompt and helpful, which solidified a big decision of driving all the way down from The Bay. She left me in great hands with Zach. Eddie was transparent and guided me through the financing process. Zach was so knowledgeable and passionate and took great care of us through each step of the process. Comment: Everybody was excellent and made my experience the best. The dealer Zac was very knowledgeable and took his time from the minute we met to make my family feel comfortable. He explained everything to me about what he knew and made the connection to being more than a salesperson. The sales team with both Eddies and the finance department were also the same when I meet them and moved forward with my decision. I felt very important and they did everything they could to make me feel like my time was valuable.

Comment: Nice sales men. Zach was very kind. When we were getting the sale written up we did not feel that every step was explained to us. Like it was not explained that there was gap insurance added till the contract was written up. Our nephew helped us with the final sales terms because he knew that one safety feature was not worth $900. There was a final mistake on the total which our nephew picked up but not by the sales team. The sales team stayed very late to complete the deal and everything was made satisfactory on the contract to us. We love our new Buick!

Comment: I would personally LOVE to thank Danny and Eddie!!! Both gentlemen were extremely professional and personable. We bought a beautiful 2021 Toyota Tacoma(yes at a Cadillac/GMC dealership). The process was seamless, everything was explained for my understanding and I feel we got a great deal. The difference in dealerships was unbelievable in terms of communication, and overall customer service. Comment: Absolutely stellar customer service. Evan was my first point of contact, his professionalism, convinced me to drive over 80 miles to come and look at the truck I was interested in. Due to a timing glitch he needed to have his partner Zak actually help us when we arrived. From the moment we stepped on the showroom floor we were greeted and treated wonderfully. Evan and Zak had my truck right up front ready for my test drive. Before we drove it Zak went over all of the options on the truck and showed me how everything worked. When we got back and started the negotiations I was very pleasantly pleased that their advertised price was actually the one listed!! No extra surprise accessories that would jack up the price. It went very smoothly in financing as well. I’ve joked before that I would rather have a root canal then buy a new car however that was not the case with this purchase! From arrival to drive off I was out the door in under two hours! Premier Cadillac GMC gets five stars and two thumbs up from me!

Comment: I have had extensive dealings with Hoehn Buick, all I can say is, I wish more dealership were like them. I never told my sales representative this but I have years of sales experience. Brent Terry was our sales rep and he was not pushy, annoying, or anything you would expect from a typical sales rep trying to get a commission. In fact, I had a good time shopping for a vehicle with him. He was incredibly respectful, and a genuinely nice guy. We are looking at another car in a year and you better believe we will buy it from Brent Terry. Second, Jay in service is amazing. Ive brought my vehicle in for service and maintenance, and I always bring it to Jay. He is so nice and goes the extra mile to ensure the customer is taken care of. Megan with finance did a great job getting us taken care of. Most dealerships are rude to you when you choose not to finance with them or purchase their warranties. Megan was the exact opposite! Kevin, the sales manager assisted us with the final portion of our purchase. Notice I remembered all of their names! This is because I was so impressed with Brent Terry, I made sure I got his card to leave him a review. Then, as I was finishing the entire process, I realized the other staff were doing a great job too. There is a reason why Hoehn is one of the highest rated Buick dealerships in the nation! I will absolutely do business with them again. Thanks, Hoehn team!
