I love it when my Mom takes me to Premier Pet Supply. I get lots of pets and treats. The helpful people there showed my Mom raw food that I cant refuse to eat (like everything else she tried). They have a large assortment of toys, and clothes and stuff for our big fat ct too. We got a nice, soft halter and Ill be going there for my next bath in their swanky do wash room real soon. See ya in the raw food isle.

Always helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly staff. Avid pet lovers across the range of common to exotic. Above average in range of stocked items, though that does lead to fewer or each thing. I will always recommend this for general exotic and fish set up, larger selections for cats, dogs, and small mammals. If you need something specific, they are willing to get it and call you when it arrives.
I came into the store today looking for something to help my dog because his tongue was dry. While we were wandering the aisles a worker asked if we needed help. When we said what we needed he said he wasn’t sure but would ask his boss. Everyone was really helpful and we were able to find a new food to try. They said that it was expensive but when we compared the price per pound it was actually less than what we were spending for a lower quality food. They also let me use a coupon and gave some free treat samples. My dog loves the food! We will definitely be returning.

Best pet supplies store Ive ever been to. A large variety of high quality products and their staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. I was in the store this weekend for my 2nd visit. Melissa was the associate that helped me. She could tell I was so helpful in supporting me , as I got some bad news regarding my puppies health. She told me about all the different supplements and products available that were offered to help. She also just listened which meant more than anything at all! I’ll continue to give my business to PPS because of this fantastic customer service.
First time shopper and was SUPER impressed! I went in and was greeted by the friendliest employees, got to pet the cutest chubby cat names Cronos, and even got helped by the owner Steve! They were really helpful and nice! The store is nice clean and smells great, also it’s so big and has so many goodies to pick from. I will definitely be coming back for all of my pet needs! 10/10 recommend coming here for pet supplies!
Reviewing as a cat owner, so I dont normally check out other sections. Everything seems on point, when getting treats and toys for family & friends dog & rabbits. This place has a wide variety of cat foods wet, dry, and fresh. They have awesome sales, so sign up for the free members card, no e-mail or text spam. Very friendly and helpful staff. They are willing to order larger bags of food of brands I buy. It seems like if I asked they would try to bring in something they dont normally stock. Great place!

Staff is knowledgeable and genuinely love animals. They probably get tired of my kid asking to feed the fish & turtles every visit, but they never let it show! I love all Premier does to support local rescues. Their dog bathing facilities are always clean and I love their Peticured partnership so I can get my dogs clean and a nail trim in the same trip!
I went in today to purchase my cats food, they didn’t have any with the exact name as my prior purchase but had the same brand different wording and packaging. I asked if the “new” one was the same as the old, and was told “I don’t know” so I asked if there was anyone there that did know and was told “probably not, you can look it up on the internet”. My cats are sensitive to their soft food so I really needed to know this information. In frustration I did make the purchase anyway, used my $10.00 rewards and will never be back!!! Worse case scenario I donate the packets to a shelter, if my cats don’t like the food. It’s really to bad, they use to have great customer service and trained employees
I have to give props to Kelly who works there. She is so helpful and knowledgeable. After hours of searching for a food for my dog who has several allergies, she answered the phone and spent some time with me searching and I was so thankful to have talked to her. Picked up the food today!
We have A LOT of pets, from reptiles, cats, to fish and snails lol-Premier always has everything we need at a reasonable price! My daughter loves the shop cat and turtles when you walk in, and they have the best price on dubia roaches that weve seen at any pet store. & all the dubias are alive when you buy them-bonus! This is the main place I buy all my pet’s supplies. The prices are comparable to other stores/sites and everyone at the store is always friendly and willing to help. They have even carried heavy items out to my car for me. Also, I love that they offer coupons. Only negative I have to say is the reward program. I think they could make it better than what it currently is. Otherwise, I love this store and will continue shopping here!

I was looking for a cat carrier that folded for storage. When I called, I was told they had some. They did but those were really meant for small dogs. Many choices, but little small for my new cat. I did find one that will work. I also found a cat tent that shaped like a fish. Good service as always.
This was my first time coming here. I was greeted as soon as I walked in. Everyone is very nice. I was impressed by all the products they sell. They dont sell the food I was giving to my dogs. An employee helped me and I was impressed by the Knowledge they have about there products. Im switching my dogs food to something better. The staff is always friendly and helpful. Never had a bad experience. They have an awesome return policy and a really nice rewards program. Yes they might be a bit pricey on some select items, but they always seem to have what I need and again the return policy extends to foods for that rare picky eater you have. 😉... 👍👏

Was visiting town from Pittsburgh this weekend to see family, Im a big fish guy so my family kept telling me I had to go see this store. I was very glad I did. They had one of the nicest fish selections Ive ever seen at a pet store that didnt specialize in specifically fish. Their tanks were clean and well stocked and their fish were super healthy. They also had a nice selection of reptiles and rodents. The rest of the store is filled with just about every animal product you could imagine. Their staff is also super friendly and helpful.
Great selection, competitive prices & great deals. Only negative is the difficulty of finding the larger dog food bags. Some are in higher shelves without access, some are just not in stock and would have to be ordered. Overall a great pet supply store

My absolute fave pet store. They staff there is super helpful, and when we were in the process of trying to find a food that wouldnt upset our dogs very delicate digestive system they were such a help! Someone walked us through all the foods theyd recommend for her particular breed and problems and shes been doing a lot better since!Also the store is really cute and always very clean! I love bringing my dogs here with me and they always have fun exploring the aisles! I also buy bird seed and food for wildlife in my neighborhood here and they have a great selection of wild bird food and suet and feeders! And also food for squirrels!

Wide variety of pet supplies, and a very friendly and helpful staff. Prices are a little higher than my other store, but definitely worth checking out as they have things my other store doesnt carry. They can also order stuff for you if they dont have it.
Love this place! Did the do it yourself dog wash and it was not as horrible as I imagined. For once I actually thought their might be people out there that enjoyed bathing dogs. Their set up is pretty great and they everything you need. Come to think of it I feel that way about the entire store!
I love these guys I had a dog who got really sick and ended up passing away, but they ordered all the special food and stuff that I needed and gave me refunds and everything I couldnt use because she passed. Really great.

We just moved to this area, and with 2 cats and 2 dogs, we frequent pet supply stores often! This is a beautiful, clean, well stocked store. Every single person working there has been kind and helpful. We have gone several times since discovering it. Last, but certainly most importantly they have the coolest, cutest, most laid back resident cat. He alone is worth the 5 stars!! He even has a nametag!!
Came in with my brand new dog for the customer appreciation sale. It was a weekday morning so not too busy. There are lots of choices for toys and treats and the employees were super helpful and friendly to me and my dog.

Wonderful store. Always clean, excellent selection, friendly employees. They have stations to give your dog a professional bath. If youre a cat lover, ask for Fonzie, the most important employee. Cant go wrong to go here.
5+ stars! Steve and his team are awesome! From a customer perspective they always put their customers first, and will always deliver a product with great service and competitive prices. The staff is very friendly and I feel like family when I walk in, as they always ask about our pet and family to see how things are going. We needed Solid Gold Sunday Sunrise dog food, and they specifically ordered more inventory to have on hand in the store. Im glad they have a location in Livonia close to home, and I wont be shopping anywhere else.

Our favorite pet store. Everyone here is so friendly and helpful and our dog loves the attention he gets. His massive size have us keeping track of all the treats he snags as he seems to think it is a personal smorgasbord of treats to try! Fortunately everyone knows we will pay for what he grabs and they laugh about it. The self wash rooms are also great. Nicely stocked and the sinks fit our 150 pound St Bernard easily. We love this store and it’s staff!

Love this place everyone goes out of their way to make sure your experience was a good one. I love the fact that if they dont have what you need they will order it for you and call you when it comes in usually in a couple of days. The manager ordered a special cat litter that I needed for my cat that is made of pine and the price was about the same as other Brand name pet stores. I have made this my main pet supply store . Normally happy to shop local. Will not be returning to this pet store. I have tried to buy feeder fish 4 times and every time they are sold out. Last time I purchased wax worms online and had almost 100% arrive alive. For this price I will be going to Amazon again not paying this kind of markup. I go through alot of wax worms and this place just rakes me over the coals for them. Hope your one time markup value is worth losing a customer. Pet supplies plus up the road always has feeder fish so Ill take that business to them.

Great product offerings here. Steve and the entire staff are extremely helpful and knowledgeable. We havent used the dog washing station yet but it looks great. I also like how Premier supports local rescues and hosts weekend adoption events.Side note: They sell the cutest handmade (local crafter) crocheted dog sweaters. Ive purchased several.

There are tons of different foods to select from, from economical brands to expensive special formulas for the pets that need restricted diets. Tons of toys and treats too! The prices are pretty great and so is the staff! Theyre super friendly. Its clear they care about their animals and yours! They arent pushy but are ready to help answer any questions you might have! Super clean store with plenty of parking!!

I recently stopped into the Livonia store and spoke to Brad...We discussed the fact that I just bought a puppy and talked about seeming it off the breeders food to a new food. We discussed health of the dog, ingredients, price etc etc. He pulled several bags off of shelves, was knowledgeable about recalls, history, discounts, ingredients etc. He took the time to answer any question I had, no matter how crazy the question. The patience was amazing, what a wonderful experience. I dont think I will shop anywhere else. Not pushy or over selling...:-)
I love this pet store. Since I found them I havent bought my pet supplies anywhere else, there is always staff available, theyre always helpful and friendly. I live across the street from Pet Supplies Plus, I never go there, Premier accepts competitor coupons, but even if they didnt they almost always have a coupon out for food in the free paper. They have a huge selection of foods, litters and everything else. They carry a lot of healthy and green products I havent seen in other pet stores as well as bigger, name brands. They helped me find a great new cat litter that was half the price of what I had been getting. When I have had to come in with my 1 year old to buy dog food, they always carry out for me. Even when Ive come in by myself they always offer, which is appreciated. A+ for experience.
Terrific store with lots of stock for a large variety of animals. The customer service is tremendous; helpful, but not pushy. The store also has a very cool indoor water feature stocked with beautiful goldfish and a large turtle. Nice!

I am a truck driver and I had a delivery here. Was very pleased with the staff and store here after I got unloaded I did a little shopping as well. This is my favorite pet store, sadly I live to far away to visit it often but will be coming back again. The owner Steve is a very nice guy seems to treat his employees very well. Everyone got along and worked well as a team. I hope they go far. They also treat truck drivers well

What a wonderful place!! This beautiful store is my new go to place for all my pets needs. They carry your usual brands and so many high quality options as well. Its a one stop shop and I learned that even if they dont have what youre looking for, they will find a way to get it for you or give recommendations. I was so impressed by the customer service provided by all of the employees. One gentlemen made a trip to their other store to get a product I desperately needed. I had it my hand in under 24 hrs. Support your local store and give your animals the products they deserve, at a fair price.

I just discovered this wonderful place today, and could not be more pleased with my experience. I walked in looking for the canned food my dogs usually eat, and walked out with 5 new high quality selections for my dogs to try. They have all types of rare varieties Ive never seen in other pet supplies stores, and now i know what my healthy options really are. If all of their associates are as well informed and accommodating as Kan, theyll continue to expand with grace. Cant wait to go back, and I rarely say that about a pet store.

By far the Best Pet Store around!!!!! With everything going on these days, they are the best! I called to see if they could deliver dog food to my Mom whose is in her 80s and was given strict orders not to go out. She was very worried that she did not have enough dog food. They came through like a champ! They delivered the dog food, my Mom did not have to go out and she has one less thing to worry about! Tom the manager was awesome and so was the lady that answered the phone and the delivery man who called after he dropped it off. I thank you all so much and bless you all. Stay safe.
I have always shopped at another pet store, which I will not mention by name, but when I recently had an emergency and needed something for my dog to help stop diarrhea they were of little help. I left their store and went just a few miles further to Premier Pet Supply where I was helped as soon as I walked in the door. Everyone I dealt with was extremely friendly and knowledgeable, I left with what I needed and will be switching pet stores. Premier Pet Supply is now my new pet store for all my dogs needs.
Was extremely satisfied with the do it yourself dog wash! Clean and well stocked. Big stainless tubs that are easy for dogs to get up into and are equipped with strong sprayers. Soaps are a bit watered down but for this great price I will bring one or buy a bottle and it would still be an excellent value. There are a number of brushes and scrubbers, cotton balls and ear cleaner. 2 Fresh towels supplied and a small yet crazy strong dryer! On top of all that the staff was helpful, pleasant and beyond willing to satisfy their customers! Will definately be a return customer.
I love Premier Pet Supply in Livonia. I thought I would check it out when they opened and have been shopping there since. The staff are extremely friendly and knowledgeable. I can always find what I need. Its a great family atmosphere and I feel like family when Im there. Great great place! Highly recommend!
I love this place! I didnt see my brand of dog food on the shelf in a larger bag. I ask staff and was guided to where their promotional end cap was and buy 2 get a free toy. I went back to where the other brand I buy was and again ask the same staff member if they had this anywhere else in the store. He went to look and brought me what I needed. He was very knowledgeable in the location of the products sold and about the quality of food I purchased. Most employees would have been annoyed with my neediness but this gentleman was very nice and willing to help me!
This place is awesome, very tentative to my concern, they have an nutrition person that is very knowledgeable about your loveable pets, I have been to three locations, Troy Michigan, Livonia Michigan, and my main store Southfield Michigan, the staff is great always asking if you need help the place is very clean all of the locations, its over all a very clean and welcoming place to shop!

Recently Houdini (my cat) was diagnosed as diabetic, and I’ve spent hours researching the best food for him. From what I’ve read about cat, and what I know about nutrition, I knew the prescription cat food was not a whole lot better for him and he seemed to hate it. Today, bound and determined to find a food that he would like and that was good for him, I went into Premier Pet Supply with the intention of sitting on the floor and reading all the cans of cat food then calling the manufacturer for carbohydrate counts because that’s what you have to do at the large chain to get any information. After a few people offering to help me and me declining, I finally told the employees what I was looking for. One told me that she knew who was an expert on this and handed me off to her coworker. The next was so knowledgeable about the topic, I was shocked. She explained the ingredients, what makes a complete diet. Both employees we incredibly friendly, knowledgeable about the products and when they weren’t 100% sure, they found someone who was sure. When I got home and opened the container to look at the food, Houdini came running. It wasn’t dinner time yet but when I fed him, it was like he never ate in his life. I’ll never go to another pet store again, this store and it’s staff was impressive.
Our favorite pet store. The prices are a little high, but they are quality pet items. We love coming here even if its just to check out the animals and the koi pond they have. Staff is highly knowledgeable on all animal care (reptiles included). The staff is so friendly and greet us like family every time we come! Great services such as self groom, nail trimming, training for your dogs. Etc. We actually purchased our sons snake and bearded dragon from here and are very pleased that they have the food too so we dont have to pay high dollar prices elsewhere for their weird food...lol. I had previously given Premier Pet Supply a 5 star rating but I wanted to come back today to really give a shout out to the store and Steve the owner. These are challenging times for us all, and to make a long story short, the last bag of dog food the batch seemed to be off and my dogs allergies started flaring up soon after opening the next bag of food. I called the store and got a new bag of food ordered. Since her allergies were starting to flair up I wanted to get her off the batch of food ASAP. Steve went out of his way to deliver the new bag of food the SAME day I ordered it, and not only that, but he picked up the old bag and returned it for me too! THIS is what you call true customer service and why I will NEVER ever shop at any other pet store. Premier Pet in Livonia is the ONLY place to do your pet shopping. Best pet store in the world. My sister has been a patron of Premier Pet Supply for years now, and she always spoke very highly of them and their staff. I adopted a new kitten (from Saving Kittens & Cats in Michigan!) and now live in the area so I decided to give PPS a try... I cannot express how impressed I am by their store and staff! They have a HUGE (and beautiful!) storefront with literally EVERYTHING you & your pet could wish for! The location is wonderful too, and is easy to get to from anywhere in Metro Detroit! And their staff is so friendly and helpful! During my experience, I was asked 3 or 4 times if I needed any help (and NOT in an annoying way, but a genuine they want to help you way). I hadnt needed any help until the end of my shopping trip where Melissa helped me with food choice. She took her time with me and really took the time to explain things and answer all my questions. I mean, I actually learned a thing or two, and Ive had cats my entire life! I also was rung up by a gentleman named Kaniel who was super helpful and pleasant as well. Im so happy I found this place! I know where I will be giving all my business to for all my pet needs! :)

This place is great! All the staff are very helpful. I went in recently due to my dog show signs of a food allergy and the vet putting her on a food elimination diet, the staff was able to help me find a high quality new brand of dog food.

Outstanding facility. The staff, you can really tell, love animals. Was surprised to see this location as I was only aware of the Livonia location. Well it is brand new! Grand opening starts Friday. Went there to look at cat trees. Had a very large supply of animal food and specialty items. Was very impressed.
Premier Pet Supply Livonia is by far my favorite place to shop for my dogs needs. Prices are very competitive and they also offer a discount membership program that will reduce prices even more. There is 4 major pet stores within 2 miles of our house but they dont come close to the staff and service provided by Livonia Premier Pet Supply.Its well worth the 30 minute ride.Steve and his staff have a huge selection of pet supplies and could not be any friendlier or helpful. This place is somewhat boujie but they do have a decent variety. You can find some decent deals but you gotta look for them or get lucky and have the employees tell you about whats currently buy x amount get x free. Dont rely on the workers to answer your product questions accurately. Do your own research. Talked to a girl named Kimmie (sp?)about some chemical free flea spray and she said it was the same thing as Frontline. Its obviously not if you read the label but she was insistent that she knew best. It literally says no harsh chemicals on the bottle but I digress. She needs to learn about the products shes trying to sell instead of talking just to talk. The other chick that worked there actually helped me cause shed used it.Also, visited a few days ago and tried to get help from some of the workers and they stood behind the registers gossiping about customers and just stood there ignoring me. Literally a group of four of them huddled behind the counter snickering, pointing and laughing like storytime for toddlers. Other times Ive gone in there and the managers are yelling at employees on the floor. Really unprofessional all around.Long story short, great variety. Everything is priced higher than other places but its a local chain so...depends on where you want to spend your money. Low rating is because the employees dont know anything about their products and didnt have the sense to just read the bottle and admit they were wrong. Also, as someone who works in HR, dont yell at your employees on the floor in front of customers. Just my opinion.
Premier Pet Supply has everything your pet could need. Their sales staff is very knowledgeable and ready to help you if you need it. They have a place you can give your dog a bath. Their prices are comparable or cheaper to other pet stores. High Quality Store.

I have been in to the Livonia store a couple times now. The staff is friendly and greets you at the door. Inside the store is well stocked and clean. Thats not why i continue to shop here though, i shop here because their prices beat petco and pet supplies plus prices. I get the whole earth dog food mainly. I dont typically revue businesses but im a big fan of small business.... specially well ran small businesses.

Premier Pet Supply has alot of options for healthy treats and food. Which is one of the reasons why I shop here. When I brought my corgi here for the first time he picked up a peanut butter bone right off the shelf! He had never done that before, so of course I had to buy it for him and its one of his favorite treats. All the staff are very friendly and the dog washing stations are so cool.

I purchased a leather dog collar and matching leash made in USA that chain pet stores do not carry. I used the self serve dog wash which is in a private room and USA bathing products are provided. Overall this is the best pet store.

I only go for birdseed. As a birder, I only get food which is difficult for house sparrows to eat. There is a pretty good variety of single seed foods as well as mixed seed (but this gets eaten or dumped by sparrows). The staff is always helpful and polite.

We take our dog here to wash her, and we love it! Today our cat got into the dirty garage. Bathing him at home is a disaster. I called Premier and asked if I could bring the cat to wash. At first she said no, Bt then put me on hold to ask. She came back saying yes, come on in! They came to check on us to make sure we were okay, (Im sure they could hear him going crazy) made sure we didnt need anything. So happy with this store, and their customer Service!!

I went there and they didnt have my kittys food. The owner promised hed order it (blue buffalo kitten wet food) and that it would be there by Friday (1 week). So I went back. Still not on the shelf. I prefer to buy local, but I will give you one chance. That did it. I will be getting my food and supplies elsewhere.

The dog wash rooms are great! Our dog, Buddy, (Shepherd hound mix) is fearful but the entire experience couldnt have been better. We will definitely be back. Great pet store. The Michigan made seat buckle collar I wanted was out of stock in a certain color. Staff ordered it for me and called when it was in. Didnt have to pay until I got it.
We took our Siberian Husky in last weekend for the do-it-yourself bath and it was super easy and well worth the price. The staff there are all super friendly and knowledgeable and we will definitely be taking our other dog for a bath as well.

2022-06-02From the time my dog was brought home from the breeder, we have shopped at Premier Pet Supply, mainly in Livonia. But tonight this location lost a customer for good.Months ago I earned the $10 reward that their rewards program offered for spending a certain amount of money. Tonight I visited the store with the intention of using the reward on a bag of food. To my surprise, the worker behind the counter asked if I wanted to use my $5 reward. I asked if she meant $10. She then explained that it used to be $10, but they changed it. So without warning, and after a customer spent the required amount to earn the reward, the store reduced the reward by 50%.Another worker, hearing the exchange, chimed in saying that they knew they were shorting me and other customers on the reward program, but that they would make it up to customers at the end of July when everything in the store was 20% off. Let me get this straight. This store thinks it will make up taking away customers earned reward dollars by asking them to spend more money in the store? No thanks.***UPDATE: The customer service for this location is prompt and superb. The morning after this review, Hania, the stores office manager, called to apologize for the inconvenience and less-than-ideal handling of the situation. She remedied the situation to my satisfaction. My dog and I look forward to returning to PPS.(Star rating updated to reflect customer service in remedying the situation and overall experience with PPS).

2022-03-31I have a new pup named Avery who absolutely LOVES going to Premier Pet Supply!!! We have been there over ten times in the past two months and every single time Avery receives the best care and professional help with her every need. We have bought everything from her healthy and nutritious food/treats to numerous fun and safe toys and most importantly her tag/leashe and harness. Every employee has been caring and helpful and I believe that Johnny may be Averys favorite friend there. I highly recommend this pet store.

I understand they may need to be disaplined because of not doing so but u should never scold employees in front of the public eye I am a manager at a store and this to me was very disrespectful In so many ways

2019-03-19I used the self dog wash today. I have been to several different businesses that have self washes and this was by far the most simple one for my senior dog to get in. They offer shampoos, towels, and a dryer for you to use. Price wasn’t too bad, though I have been to places where it is cheaper. The only complaint that I have is the time limit. I’m a groomer, so it was no problem for me to get my dog done in and out within 25mins, but I can see that being a problem with people that have dogs with longer, thicker coats who are also not used to bathing dogs on a regular basis. I do understand it though because they only have 2 tubs. So maybe call ahead to make sure it’s not busy? My only hope is that they aren’t too stickler about that for those people that have longer coated dogs. You shouldn’t set a time limit on drying time, especially in winter/colder months. If it’s first come first serve everyone should have to wait and be respectful of people trying to finish their dogs, but like I said I get it to an extent because they only have 2 tubs. It was also nice that they are private little rooms. Overall I had a good experience. Nice staff, clean store. They also seem to support local businesses, and they have the cutest collars! Will probably be back in the future.
