Comment: I have rented two units for 234.5 to store my furniture while I was in an assignment for 1 full year. 5 months later they increased my rent from 234.5 to $299 a month, I called and complaint and they agreed to lower it to 266. I had no choice but to accept, I can’t move my stuff.Again, two months later they have increased my rent to 358. They are thieves and they know you can’t move out easily since you are out of town.There is no regulations that can govern these people. Just be carful with all storage companies and specially Prine storage.They know they have your personal stuff and they are so dear for you.Be careful

This was my oringnal review: I am a 73 year old senior citiizen, disabled veteran, my wife and I were shopping for affordable storage units, we were down sizing. We were given a price by Tess and we told her we could not afford $600 a month, Tess agreed to $350 a month, this was close to our budget. We signed a contract for that amount. A month later, after we had moved our belongings in, they raised the rent back to $600. This was a classic bait and switch, once we moved in she trapped us. We were now forced to remove our belongings to another facility. Beware senior citizens and veterans of this con artist taking advantage of older folks and veterans, stay away from this fraud.

Comment: I had all my expensive belongings stolen. My laptop, my Retro Jordans, my clothing, my guitars. My Nintendo switch. My keyboard. All my music cables and my hard drive. They refused to let me or the police officer see the footage. There was a red lock. The ones they company used on vacant locks inside my unit when they showed me how it looked.The company is no help. I lost over 4k worth of equipment.Not to mentione all my sentimental valued belongings.Do not rent here. They are theives.

Its been almost 2 months and I have yet to get any answers as to why some criminal was able to robb my unit and nobody knows who did this. I filed police report and there was no compliance from Prime Storage with the police department. I have made numerous calls, visits, and reports regarding answers and how I am going to be reimbursed for the loss of my property. I deserve answers. I entrusted my property was safe with Prime Storage and it was not. I have gone through a great deal of stress and trauma from this and I need answers. The way your company has handled this terrible incident that was done to me is very unacceptable.

Comment: Manager is rude and condescendingBasically I was offered a quote for 84 dollars with a first month free for a unit by an associate, I guess the people at that location weren’t available so someone whose name is Dave or so he said that was her his name offered me that unit at that price. However, when I got an email with the quote, the price was reflecting the discount that this Dave person had given me who by the way was a very incredibly nice person and so I decided to call the location in Homes that the actual manager of that specific location would answer which she did. I wanted to ask about why the quote was different than what I was told and as soon as she answered, she interrupted me by saying “let me finish first and then you can ask your question”. She was on speaker and my husband overheard and we both agreed that that was incredibly rude. She moved on to ask me about the policy number on the insurance that I had for that unit and wouldn’t stop harassing until I gave her that number, she talked over me before I asked any questions(mind you this was before I even signed the contract to rent this unit). Eventually she allowed me to speak and she said “now what’s your question” to which I proceeded to say I was offered a quote by a person I talked on the phone whose name was Dave. He offered me a discount for $84 a month but it’s not reflecting on my contract. To which she responded in the ugliest, most disrespectful way and in an incredible condescending manner “well I don’t know who Dave is, you need to call and figure out who this “Dave” is and ask him”. At that point I was very tired of being disrespected and so I said “can you cancel everything” she said “okay, bye”.I posted a vague review on Google maps to which she called back around 2 hours after and I handed the phone to my husband (I was going through a lot at the time and I didn’t want to be disrespected any further) and so she proceed (with a completely different tone) to say how she can definitely give me that discount, and apologized (because her manager was there) and my husband explained how it things were communicated in an incredibly rude manner.I ended up renting with Extra Space whereI was treated kindly.

Comment: Recently, I had to switch to another unit and Katherine, from 2385 Main Street, was very attentive and kind when listening to all of our pressing needs and effectively answered all of them. She too provides excellent customer service; plus, shes very outgoing and polite. In the end, we hope that this company values her hard work because by having people like her in the offices, it makes it easier for us to return and/or recommend this service to our friends and family members. And the other thing that I would like to congratulate this company for doing is having workers who can speak Spanish, like Katherine herself. This helps spanish-speaking people feel more at ease when visiting the offices for the very first time.

My mother in law (79 yrs old) is currently renting an RV spot at $189 a month. 10 months ago they raised it to $228, which she has been paying for… when we found out we called to find out why it was so high? We never got a reply from them. What we got was a refund for $40 and they move the price back to $189 with a 10% discount for seniors. They did this without contacting us or explaining why they did this. We got all current information when we called back to follow up with the calling service they have. Apparently they left notes on my mother in law’s file. We are still waiting for the call back from a supervisor… to be continued?

Comment: WORSE PLACE EVER if you value your items!PLEASE READ!!!!!We Stored our 2022 trailer March 1-31-2022We thought it was in a secure place based on the person we talked to at check in. She said they Have cameras; place is all fenced in; it has password secure gate; and no one can come in or out after 6pm.When came to get our geo pro 2022 camper trailer, both of our brand new BATTERIES were STOLEN!!!! It took us 4 calls in 2 days before we heard from them. The response to us was - we usually have 14 staff members but we only have 4 and we are a storage facility only, items stored here are at your own RISK!!! Did you read the fine print!!!We still had to pay for our month stay and did not get any reimbursement for new batteries!! (FYI we could not hook up our trailer to car since hutch was battery operated !!! )They were not apologetic on phone. Offered to let our trailer stay free there til we could get new batteries but that was not helpful since it was their fault we were still there. We had no place for us to stay and by the time we heard from them, we had already paid for 2 extra nights at hotel and paid for campsite we reserved but could not use as we were to head home out of state!!!!!!So if you value your stuff DONT STORE THEMAT STOR’EM !!!!!!!!

Comment: We pay to park our truck in their parking area for security. What a joke! Our truck was broken into over a weekend and thousands of dollars of tools were stolen. An easy hop over the wall. Does StoreEm care? Nope. The comment was, oh yeah. We have been having a problem with people hoping that wall. So you knew about it but didnt warn us, didnt set up extra precautions, cameras?!! 😡🤬 No just left us as sitting ducks the same month the rent on the parking spot was increased. The rent is over twice what Sentry Storage cost, no wonder there is a year long wait list there.Not that price is the big issue but the lack of security and disregard for a problem that they knew was an issue, no one should use this place. BEWARE!

Comment: The staff at SD Storage is EXCELLENT, Christian rates a VERY GOOD . I have used other storage facilities and never gotten the customer service provided by others. Christian does his very best. I have often recommended SD Storage to other people. I will continue to do so. From the top all the way down; Feather and her crew do an outstanding job. I sometimes dont find Christian in the office as he is outside attending to the needs of the clients and maintainence issues. He is usually easy to locate, except when he is at the bank. At those times, a short wait is usual and understandable.
