Comment: This branch of Prime Storage was a lifesaver! I booked at another one and it didn’t work out they were totally unresponsive but the Prime Storage call center told me about this Chula one - which was a better price AND in a much more convenient location.So I hurried there, they were open and still had my unit for my price. It was prompt, the hours are great, and the unit was clean and seems secure. It worked out seamlessly. I’m just so glad I found them. :)

Comment: Do not use Prime Storage, I had a unit and a space for my boat, my boat was broken into and damaged, storage facility provided no help, wouldnt even look at cameras. Our property inside the unit was being damaged by rodents and still offered no compensation, even with the paid insurance. Worst storage place ever!

Comment: Pretty upset at this place I would stay away from this place. Shop around and do your homework. Ive only been here a couple of months and they are already trying to raise the rent. UNBELIEVABLE! I walked in to pay my rent and Cecilia who has an amazing attitude and super helpful was able to calm me down and explain the reasoning. I was still disturb at the fact that in only a few months my rent had to go up. This is why I left my old storage place. I will be seeking a new place soon. Renters beware! To Cecilia, thank you for everything you do, your smile, and friendly welcoming attitude. I know theres alot you deal with but thank you!

Comment: Nothing Prime about this storage. We had our van stolen from inside the storage. Absolutely zero accountability from the storage facility, they have all these cameras for nothing. We asked if they could help us and we had zero help. The whole point in parking our van inside the facility was to prevent theft, and obviously it would have been equally safe if it were parked in the street.

Comment: The sign up process is easy but the prices have gone up drastically over the years with no real upgrades to the units or the property. 7 years ago I was paying 89 for my unit and currently I was paying 124. Also the closing out process is a little tricky, you have to book an appointment because the office is usually empty, and there isn’t really any info on their website so you have to call a rep. Thankfully the rep was able to close my account but it took a couple phone calls. Just be weary.

So I called the number they provide at the door and told them my situation, they took down my information and said they would have someone called back. They called me back around 2pm and said they would have someone at the office from 3-6pm I got here at 4pm and still no one at the office I drove around looking for a rep, drove down to their other location and still nothing, I waited around for 2 hours and no one ever showed up. I was totally lied to as I’ve called numerous times and they say that they’re gonna message someone to call me back. Theirs notes on the floor of their office that other customers have left and no one has come to pick them up. Plus they change prices on you without a notice my bill jumped up $95. Ok definitely taking my business elsewhere

Comment: If you miss your payment, they lock your storage, which is everyone. However, even after you make the payment and call/email/text, they refuse to open your storage because apparently, it’s an inconvenience to unlock it. No one is ever in the office so I don’t understand how they are super quick to lock it and then are never available to unlock it. Oh, and you can never speak to someone who works at that location because they use a third party-so they never have to hear you complain. Worst storage experience, worst customer service. This happened twice and I called approximately 5-6 times. And, don’t blame the third party cuz it’s not them, it’s YOU.*“You don’t need staff to remove the lock, we text you a code” -storage response*No, you don’t send a code. I called, texted. No one could give me this fake code you’re talking about. Payment was made shortly after the due date and I called 1 month prior to going to my unit and it was still locked.Whether you provide a code, my payment was late, or whatever the case; you have the worst customer service. I was never able to reach an associate or manager for assistance. I got the runaround every time. It was frustrating to say the least. You NEED staff to take care of your clients. You’re failing them.

Comment: When I first stored my RV there was no problem. Recently there has been people living in their RV inside the storage. I went to pick up my RV from the storage and there was a box underneath my rv with two bottles of urine. The second time I picked up my RV my RV window was open. I notified customer service and the representative in Chula Vista stated there a storage place to store my rv not to secure my rv. I found another location, with better service and security. People are stilling living in their RV space P6. Honestly this place does not care what happens to your RV.

Comment: Within a week of storing my RV there it was vandalized. Nothing was taken which makes me suspect staff did it because I accidentally crushed some hedges in the back. But I had to spend money repairing and replacing storage doors and locks.. They eventually gave me a better spot, but damage done. I found the on-site staff as well as the corporate staff uncaring, unresponsive and out of the office more often than in the office! And while the place is clean and well maintained, I am glad to be out of there. It took several calls and emails to stop the lease!

Comment: Initially when i spoke to the people who answered for the call center i was not impressed at all with the level of service they provided. However when i showed up to the office in the morning and met Myika my feelings changed. She was the most helpful and positive person you could imagine. She explained everything clearly and showed me around the property. As someone who has worked in customer service all my life i can tell you that she possesses a rare quality that few employees have, She genuinely cares about the people she is helping. My advice to upper management at storem is this. Make sure you do what ever necessary to keep Myika happy! You will not find a better employee easily. People that possess her social skills and professionalism are very rare. Hope this helps.

I been calling multiple times and no one cares to get back they make excuses over covid so no one works there anymore and they r closed every other storage is open and working so they will not be getting my money until they stop stealing my money. Thats unfair for them to collect but nothing being resolved everyone dont rent from these people .

I ended up calling Storem Self Storage around 530pm and Adrian was able to assist me. He gave me the news that I wanted to hear! They had 1 spot left! He said the paperwork wont take long and asked me to come in. I did, paperwork took about 10 mins. Adrian was helpful and very positive in helping me get the spot! Ask for a senior discount if you qualify. If you prepay 6 months they will give you a seventh free. They have small and large units. All units are accessible without an elevator. You can only access your unit between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m. . They also have RV boat car parking.

We were checking the place out convinced that we would only need a small storage unit (5x5 or so) but after a thorough walkthrough from that staff, they laid out how ample each unit is, the height and accessibility, etc.. Anyhow, the staff helped out with all our needs and we walked out getting a storage unit that’s just what we were looking for. Clean, affordable, and great customer service.

He showed us one size storage but I ended up asking to see 2 more of different room size. and oblige with delight. At the end, we were sold. We decided to sign papers right away. This is the right place .Peter made it easy for us to decide. All our questions were answered and we were pleased. He did a good job! Highly commendable. Comment: I dont think anyone especially likes to store a portion of their earthly treasures, but if you have to, this is the place to do it! Everyone, and I do mean everyone, is polite and pleasant and very helpful. The facility is immaculate and easy to get to. Very well run facility!!

Comment: I would like to express how grateful I was today to receive a call from Esperanza to let me know that today was the last day before getting charged a late fee for my payment. Sometimes I get so overwhelmed and I forget. She was a very polite and wonderful person. This is what keeps me staying with SD Storage.
