Comment: Provest associates always respond in a timely manner. If there is anything wrong with your place and you submit a maintenance request, it is taken care of within a few days. Ive had to call the office a few times and everyone there knows how to assist you. There isnt any passing the phone calls on to another person or waiting to hear back from someone else. I have really enjoyed renting from Provest. I rent in the city of Victorville.Thanks for all you do.

Comment: We have rented for ten years through Provest for a private owner...we feel mostly positive, however the increased amount of computer generated blah blah is starting to become not related to us, and annoying. We have, for ten years gone beyond in keeping up not just the house and surrounding ten feet, but the neighbor and his brother who owned the several acres next door, and the unknown owner acres surrounding our home because one it was fire unsafe, and it was also not fun to come home to live in the middle of almost ten acres of not kept up property. Two of the lots are now sold, and they are taking care of cleaning and cleaning . The onslaught of the number of homes up the street that have put in green screen and made the desert look horrible is something real estate companies have the power to discuss with the county and eliminate. AND the little four wheel vehicles, we do not mind the neighbor kids, but many appear to be renting them from a company that does not seem to give them any idea but to go out and ruin the desert, hit peoples pets and vehicles and again, while the police and CHP have added motor cycle teams to address the issue, real estate companies have the lawyers and power to get the county to address the unsafe use of our streets and illegal trespassing by the people. For ten years big four wheel and off road clubs have had events, helped clean and clear the desert. This new influx is not just upsetting, the riders themselves are being injured or killed which is NOT conducive to a calm life out here. I hope the real estate companies will join together and address these issues....along with the reality that the people who live here came because it is supposed to be a valley wide State conservation area....we have had Fish and Wildlife speakers at several town hall meetings in Victorville, Hesperia and the Phelan Oak Hills area.....the danger of forest fire is also of great concern with these illegal off road vehicles. We have had only one large forest fire since we moved here, but it was fast moving, and we were told, by CHP up the street that if the wind changed up to ten miles could be burned in a few minutes, so evacuate and make sure our animals were out, we helped the neighbors move their stock and pets as we had volunteered in city safety and crisis groups. It is hard enough with real forest fires, but when it is irresponsible sports people risking us all losing our homes, something needs to be done. Again, the real estate groups and their lawyers have the power to bring these issues up with the county and make it safer up here. Thank you for the fast repair to the water system......it was great! We love the plumber and his son!

Sometimes I dont here from them for months and I forget I have tenants they take care of everything no drama no running in behind tenants nothing. They do there annual inspections and they dont try to trick you into using there repair services like some other property managements do. They are honest and fair .Ive been using them for 3 years now .I just wish I could use them with my other properties as well. Unfortunately its not within there radius. Love love love them any way. The person conducting a review of our application was out sick for multiple days so we were pretty much left with radio silence for a while. What kind of property manager doesnt have backup support to ensure things keep moving?Once we did receive contact from the application processor we got word that someone who applied before us backed out of the home we were interested in, and that they are continuing to process our application. Less than 24 hours after that response we got word that they now had an applicant approved before us and that theyd no longer move forward with our application...Kinda seems unorganized, but ok.From a homeowners point of view:Im a multi-year homeowner who just recently moved into the area for my wifes work relocation. We have a property manager currently maintaining our residence in our home state. The difference of quality between these guys and the property managers I have maintaining our home is night and day. Theyre slow, provide very little hospitality in terms of communication to prospective tenants, and seem to be just checking off boxes and moving through the motions.Our property manager made an effort to speak with applicants in person or over the phone to gain insights from prospective tenants, and truly wanted to get the best candidate into the home AS FAST AS POSSIBLE. With Provest, it appears very much like a just fill out forms and wait for an email type approach.My wife and I are in the 95th percentile of income earners for this area of California. We constantly have between a 750-800 credit score. Own properties in the same value level of the house we were interested in. I highly doubt the person theyre filling the house with objectively is a more qualified tenant.Overall:If youre a renter, good luck dealing with the headache of applying with these guys. If youre a homeowner, id look elsewhere to ensure you actually have competent people maintaining your home.

The tenants literally put multiple plastic bottles caps and shredded paper into our bathtub drain, as well as took the knobs of the faucets. The swamp cooler lines were cut, animals destroyed the backyard and carpets. The smells left behind are still lingering in the guest room. The property management slapped a bandaid on a fracture. Comment: Im not going to give names as I wish them well, I recently recovered from COVID 19, was trying to get a place as I currently reside with elderly family. The agent seemed nice enough. Im a truck driver and plenty of income. Then the home owner does completely different, so I fail to see the point of having an agent at all. Furthermore, there was no other option offered, nor any further communication, just bad business practice to me. Hopefully the next person that needs help gets it. God is still good to me.

Comment: Melanie was amazing with helping my father get a new place. She emailed him every single day with any things that needed to be rectified, or clarified . She was adamantly working to get him in the place he fell in love with. The turnaround time was about 3-4 days, which was super fast. Comment: Im surprised a company like this can stay open. When I was looking for an apartment I saw many houses and apartments that they posted. I was interested in many and must have called the phone number at least 20 times, and never got anyone to pick up or to call back.So plan b. Go ahead and sign up for the website that their postings told me to. I got to signing up and then I see theres a 1 dollar sign up fee. But its illegal In the state of California to charge anyone any kind of money to look at a house... and thats exactly what was being forced.. I decided no, it wasnt worth it. Theyre most likely scammers.Steer clear of these guys!In response to the owners reply, the fact that I called at least 20 times and couldnt get a hold of anyone and the only way I could view the property since no one would pick up a phone is by paying to sign up for rently shows that you illegally try to force people to sign up for a paid website in order to look at property. That is illegal. Im sure people love rently but the fact that you force it in order to see a property makes it not legal. Now if you had any idea how to run a business you would answer phones or your employees would answer phones. But you dont. We both know you didnt look at any logs because if you did you would see all of my missed calls and voicemails and you would see all the other missed calls from other people who Im sure cant get through to you.Go ahead and look through your logs, find the 20 missed calls from the same number and give me a call.

Comment: So with my husband coming to the railroad yard in Barstow we began the process of getting a home through this agency a week ago.Four days were wasted telling us we had to use an employment verification site that my husband kept explaining wouldn’t work for him only to call the company to find out it’s for the verifier and my husband WAS NOT supposed to be on there.Bare in mind, we sent W-2’s, paycheck stubs showing his income WAYYYY OVER the three times, we sent railroad retirement paperwork that even the mortgage people for our current home didn’t need, to show my husbands EIGHTEEN YEARS with the same company where he’s currently a supervisor but that wasn’t sufficient, we were supposed to use some company not even meant for us to use to verify.I’m not mentioning my five years employment and other income that easily adds to ten times the rent amount and our reference is another property management company that would tell you we always paid on time and got one hundred percent of our deposit back.I had to pull our application. Scary to think it’d take this long if I had an issue with one of their properties I rented from them.I understand wanting quality tenants, we are considering using our property in Reno as a rental but I don’t think you should scare good ones away.***In response to their replyI have four emails I can post here regarding that site I was constantly told we needed to use. I also have the replies from my husband regarding it not working up until he had to call the company and found out it wasn’t for his use!!You are correct, I am amazed at a few companies here that will not get back to you. I left the reviews for anyone in our position that needs help during a job transfer situation. I hope anyone else with Union Pacific sees this.As far as verification on our rental, had you called at any point the agent who gave us the correct number would have guided you just as easily. That shows how hard you tried.If someone comes to you and lays everything out and your agents cause confusion, that’s on you.PS I do see you all having a habit of blaming consumers for bad business experiences. Comment: Scam. They kept asking for additional information, which I understand but certain things are standard for military. They provide a phone number but want you only to go through email. Their process is very frustrating. For a person that has anxiety this is enough to push someone over. The person that sends the request is not the same person that speaks on the phone. You cant speak to the person that is requesting the information. Why would you ask for the last 3 years of rental history and then ask about addresses that are over 10 years old?
