Comment: Public Storage is absolute hell of the storage world. Their business model is to lure you in with a decent introductory price then as you settle in and fill your unit and it becomes inconvenient to leave, they raise the price $100/mo. after roughly 6 months. 8 months or so later, they raise it roughly another $100/mo. Ive gone from originally $140/mo. to now $340. This is not an individual to me experience, they do this at all facilities, as evidenced by this happening at a completely different unit I own in a totally different location as well. Like clockwork, at the exact same intervals, they entitle themselves to more of your money in hopes that youll just pay it since who wants to empty a storage you spent a year filling?Absolutely bogus company, just like their reviews, which they CLEARLY beg for to inflate their rating and dilute the truth. This company is extraordinarily disingenuous and is a total rip off. This particular facility also has atrocious access hours.

Whenever you need to get a cart there is never anyone in the office...so you have to wait...up to an hour for anyone to arrive. Its very poor service.And finally note that the terms are TERRIBLE. if you try to exit and you are 1 day into the next month you are charge a FULL month. There is ZERO prorata amount back - Shop around and you will find MUCH better deals and service. Do not use this location.

Comment: My wife and I had to store about a 2-bedroom apartments worth of stuff, so we went on the hunt for a storage location. The Public Storage on Capitol Expwy popped up as one of the closer locations, and had very good reviews everywhere we looked. When we went to go check out this location and other places, this was our first stop and our last. The facility is great!! Mike and Nahid are super friendly and keep this place in great shape! We couldnt be happier with our storage unit. We paid a fair price for it and all with no hassle.It is now a week later and all of our stuff is moved in. Were in an indoor space, and out of all of the days weve been there (which have been the hottest weve had in the area for the past few weeks), the temperature inside was surprisingly cool. This was a big surprise to us and really sealed the deal on this location.If you need some storage space, come check this one out, Mike and Nahid will help you get what you need! We cant thank them enough!

Eli, the manager I mostly dealt with, is super friendly and basically knows who is coming and going on the property which makes it even more secure, of course not being intrusive to tenants. The only con is regarding the PS in general that the space they advertise is not really the size you get, so measure it before renting to know the size and avoid running into problems later, of course they do talk about this limitation in some note somewhere, but who reads all those small footnotes. As for access hours it is limited due to COVID at the moment, however I hope this would change sometime in the future. Overall a great place and convenient to access, deserves the 5 stars.

I was confused about the whole thing. The women in the office answered all my questions about promos and the right size storage I would need. Got me to the perfect storage at a great price. I even got all the supplies I needed. I have to say I wasnt expecting for it to be the highlight of my day, but she walked my through it with a smile on her face that was contagious. I actually had fun. The facility is very clean and well maintained. So when youre looking for that extra storage, I recommend to go to the Public Storage on Capitol Expressway and talk with MICHELLE! God, I hope shes gone... havent seen her lately, not that I ever did before except for the one time.Ive been with PS for over a decade and I rarely interact with the office, but had to when I went to purchase a bundle of boxes on 4/12/19, Sandra V. helped me with the transaction. Sandra a very professional, friendly, and personable. She advised me that there was a change in the management and I can definitely notice the difference. Im just hoping and praying that this lasts!The ground are clean, but sometimes the last building will need some sweeping now and again. I havent had to hunt down any dollies in my last 3 visits last week which is a BIG plus. The indoor facilities seem very secure and I trust my belongings here.

They insist theyre not liable, but when they claim they have security (gate codes, elevator codes, security cameras at both locations, motion sensors, etc.) how can this go unnoticed for so long and no one be caught? To make matters worse, they reduced the hours you can access your unit using a misleading claim of technical difficulties. Further insult to injury just this morning they notified me theyre increasing my rent after just a few months. Comment: Nevermind!!! I was asked to give this place a 5 star rating when I rented my unit 6 HOURS AGO!!!! Which I did. I was also told the hours for the access gates were until 9pm, so I had plenty of time to start loading my unit. When I arrived at 5:58pm, I was told the gates were closing at 6pm and I was not allowed in. So on my FIRST DAY RENTING THE UNIT and with a truck FULL OF STORAGE ITEMS, I was not allowed to get into the unit that I had rented just 6 hours earlier. This is all after I had to surprisingly pay $45 worth of “administrative fees” and forced to buy a lock from them because we are only allowed to use locks they provide. So SURPISE!!! You can’t unload your items, even on your first day, and you have to pay a bunch of hidden fees. I just vacated a unit with another company to go here thinking it would be great to be closer to home and save some $$$. If this is what you’re trying to do, don’t bother. Grass isn’t always greener on the other side I guess.

Comment: Originally, I stopped by PS-Capitol to rent a small unit, upon returning with my husband and all of our stuff, we needed to close-out the smaller unit and rent a much larger unit, Mike was amazing. He was so helpful, he didnt mind the extra paperwork necesary to close the previous contract and to re-do the contract for the newer unit. I will always remember his professionalism and continue renting our unit as long as we need it!

Comment: I dont often write reviews and mostly as an engineer here in silicon valley I am consistently let-down by services where people or businesses are NOT putting their hearts into their work; HOWEVER, I must talk about the manager or employee Mike over at the Capital location. Mike is extremely proactive! He calls me when my payment is due and warns me about getting a late payment!!! who does that???? seriously... I ask again: who is concerned about their customers to the point where they reach-out and proactively remind people about such things???? This is an amazing service!!! Despite this company continuing to raise the rent and never having carts to help people move items in and out of storage...I will stay with this location of Public Storage ONLY because of Mike!If I stop in the office Mike goes out of his way to help me even with the smallest of requests.

Comment: Ive had a great experience with Public Storage on Capitol and Pearl. Mike has been such a great help, and is always in such a good mood. Ive had moved from one unit to another and he is always trying to get me the best prices that Public Storage has to offer. =) GOOD DEALS!!!!!!I can also say because of his helpful ways and great customer service.I dont think I will choose any other Storage place, Id stick with Public Storage.I definitely recommend any one who is need of extra storage space to come with Public Storage.

Comment: Ive had a unit for over 2 yrs. I would recommend this place to everyone that needs storage because its kept very clean, the staff is very friendly and professional, and the hours of operation are better than many other places.The manager Mike is a very nice gentleman, always willing to help, and so is the rest of the staff. You can tell there´s good communication among them because you ask for something and the next day, whoever is there, knows about your request and is ready to take care of it.Some units have light and some dont so make sure you choose the one you need.
