Comment: DON’T BE FOOLED!!! They’ll jack up your rates right after you’ve moved in. Mine went up by 33% only 5 months later.Then kept going up every 3-4 months. I tried to offset this by downsizing to a smaller unit. After downsizing 3 times, I was still paying nearly as much as when I first signed up. Turns out this is their business model…raising rates because it’s too inconvenient for you to move elsewhere.Absolutely predatory business practices. And guess what, clowns…I’ve finally closed my unit and moved away entirely after 2 years. Giving my stuff away for free saved me more money than paying over-priced storage fees.I will continue to tell everybody and post about your awful business practices on my popular blog. Congrats for capitalism! 😎

Comment: I have been a tenant at this facility for over 10 years... the staff have always been excellent to deal with... they care and are responsive to all requests. I appreciate all the first class support that Steven and Rosemarie have provided. But after all these years of paying and watching the rates rise and increase to ridiculous amounts, I asked the team to reach out to their district manager to see if they could come up with a reasonable rate for me.... one that is equal to the current market value of the same exact unit. I found the same unit that I was being asked to pay over $900 for advertised on their website for $425 in the same facility. If I have been your tenant paying you for 10 years, should I have to pay double the going rate for the same unit? Does that make any sense? The staff reached out on my behalf multiple times to request an account review and adjustment, and for over a month I had zero response. So I decided to reach out directly in the hope that a valued loyal customer like me would be treated fairly and be made to feel taken care of. In my own business, I cannot ignore my clients requests and make them feel as if I will not accommodate them at all. The least someone can do is provide the courtesy of a reply and offer some sort of a reasonable compromise. Unfortunately, I never received a single response or offer for a small reduction. Thats not how you are supposed to run a business. There are plenty of other nearby facility options available out there... so if you dont care I can just simply go elsewhere... such a shame that something that is really so easy to logically resolve would be handled in this way.

Comment: I wanted to inform you that the manager at 1856 Riverside Hwy, Lawrenceville, GA is a liar and dishonest and a thief. I drove 4 hours there to clean out my unit to be told that the gate was broken and also that somebody broke into the building, and broke into my unit and stole everything. I called the police and there was no report of such things. The lady simply made this story up and cleaned out my unit. I also think this is illegal. I just wanted you to know I will never do business here again and you should look into the employees at this location.

I am a black women and my husband is a white male. Our last names are the same and we are literally wearing our rings. Teresa asks are we a couple? When I respond “We are married.” She states she didn’t want to assume. How foolish? No apology, she just moves on.To top it off, Teresa has called my phone at least 4 times before we met in person and she never told us the ENTIRE time we were dealing with her that she was Teresa the person we have been speaking to. My husband had to ask her for her name when we were LEAVING. Unprofessional!As far as the unit and the building we would give it 4 stars based on what we’ve seen. However Teresa put a bad taste in our mouth and lacks accountability when it is clear you have made the people who you are doing business with uncomfortable.First time with Public Storage and it is not at all a great start. It’s very clear that it’s only about getting our money. They won’t get it for long with employees like this.

The staff sits around talking like they are at a hipster coffee shop and they are over confident talking to you like they are rich and you are poor.And, they harass you. They constantly call you, email you, text you…it’s the worst storage company around.Lastly…these people do nothing but threaten you. Before your due date, on your due date, even 1 second after your due date. They keep wanting they will sell your property and i guess they get commission because it’s all they talk about.We took our business elsewhere and hope not never see the staff that work there or this company ever again.

Easy to follow directions, convenient access to the rented space, and helpful, friendly staff. The move-out process also went off without a hitch. I cleaned out the storage space, checked in briefly with the front desk, and was on my way. A few hours later, I received a notice via email about my move-out. The lady at the desk was most helpful; I believe it was Theresa (so sorry, if I am misspelling that).

Comment: Greetings,The purpose of this statement is to report a theft at the Public Storage Germantown, MD. Location at 12423 Middlebrook Road, Germantown, MD. Throughout the week of July 20th-26 I was in daily communication via e-mail with Mr. Jeffrey Clark who informed me that the Senior District Manager Josh Clark was going to have someone on Saturday, July 30th, 2022, due to the facility being a virtual storage with no real person on site. Despite the reassurances from both Mr. Jeffrey & Josh Clark nobody showed up at 9:30am and even though I stayed until 10:00 am to no avail I never received my items. Therefore, due to the theft I have hired a lawyer and we are looking into all available legal remedies to include launching an investigation with the Department of Justice Civil Rights Division. It is only my hope that other individuals have not have their items stolen either which in the case they have experienced similar treatment as myself a potential class action lawsuit will be filed against Public Storage.Regards,R.

Comment: Sadly, the service is getting worse each time we go - and they nickel and dime you on the side. While I totally agree that they have office ours - they used to give access 24/7. Now, outside their office hours, you will not even have access to bathrooms or trolleys.Then, when renting storage, you had to buy their locks - they must have their Public Storage stickers on them. I showed my identical locks: not good enough.Now: the very same stickers are not good enough. You had to buy a new lock.Not only does one no longer gets 1stmonth off as advertised - as a returning customer, but you also have to pay a signing fee - and the new locks. And insurance, of course. Their insurance. Ours was not good enough. I need to buy insurance that we are covered when THEY have a problem. Wow.

A lot of lessons learned has led to a much better system.- Climate controlled units are available- You can use the PS App on your phone to control access- They have newer, safer locks available along with other storage and packing materials.It has never been easier to store your stuff and access it when needed.Both Nick and Ilya are really awesome and set the standard for personalized customer service. They made the whole reservation and contract process a breeze, from the welcome text to a thorough walkthrough of the facility, and instructions and tips for how and when to access your unit.I was really dreading storing my important clutter in a storage facility again. Ive had bad experiences in the past. This place is only six years old - one of the newest in the area, and its freeway close. Im so LUCKY and HAPPY that I found this place.

Comment: Nick helped me open my storage unit. Im moving from IL and this is literally the only thing about the move that has gone 100% smoothly. Getting started was easy. I was having a mini-freak out about because I was moving in an RV and couldnt find where one of my cats was hiding, so Nick let me go and find her and we started over. He was very kind about it.The facility isnt really designed for taller moving trucks, but they will fit in there and theres room to turn around. You just have to come in and out through the Doran entrance, as the other side has low clearance.Ive been bringing stuff in and out a lot this week and theres always been a cart available and the place is always clean. I hope to only have the unit for a month, but thats not a reflection on them at all.

I have rented a unit here for the past four years and during that time it has been kept spotless, the customer service has remained top-notch, and the monthly rates have remained competitive for this area. The manager is so nice and always greets me when she sees me.Keep in mind, though, that the low initial rate will be raised after six months. And there will be regular increases until you reach market rate. Many people get upset when the rates go up, but that’s to be expected.Overall, I’m very pleased and highly recommend this facility.

The place is right off the freeway exit, has to entrances, is secured and well lit and most importantly clean. But that by itself wouldnt deserve a six star review but heres what does. My check comes on the third, so each month Im overdrawn for a day until the check comes in. Comment: Well about this location i love t. I was planning to stay just a few month until i would get an apartment to fit all my stuff but i was going to look hard for an studio that would be cheaper although i ended up staying now for about 2 years. It has it owns secure gated parking. You need a code to access or otherwise you wont coming after office hours and to be honest when i did the reservation to look at my garage robert i just wanted to let everyone know he is like the best in customer service. Cool ask questions and charismatic guy. I went with my girlfriend and now we both love this facility also it has climate control and its in good condition

Comment: I’ve been a tenant of several SoCal Public Storage facilities through the years. This location sets a new, high bar. The facility itself is brand new, or a few years old at this point. What sets it apart is the staff. I visit my storage location several times a month, and the staff always recognizes me and takes a moment to greet hello. I have come to learn a few of their names through the last year and I can confidently say Jerry, Teresa, Jesse and Jazmin always make themselves helpful, approachable and have an A+ attitude. The service paired with ample parking, the brand new facility and the temperature controlled space make this the flagship Public Storage location.

Comment: I have nothing but great things to say about this PS location. They are one of the best and have an incredibly helpful staff. Jesse helped me find a larger unit to help consolidate two smaller units I had and was able to answer questions about store policies and availability. Patty and Seth were also helpful on subsequent trips back to cancel the older units and to answer other questions. All around a fantastic experience outside the service itself which is providing me a place to store items that are too bulky for my apartment.

He walked me through the whole process and I felt like I was talking to an old friend the whole time. I rarely experience customer service this excellent anywhere! The facilities are safe and clean. Comment: This place is nice and clean and the staff friendly. The one star rating is due to their corporate customer service and policies. After a week I decided I wanted to put more in storage than I had originally planned. I called the location office to upgrade to a bigger unit. turns out, it isnt possible to upgrade a current (1 week in) unit. I have to get another unit with no move in discount plus still pay for the full month of the unit Ive had a week. So basically pay for two units when I only needed 5 more feet of space.I called the national customer service and was told the same thing. I explained that Im trying to give them more money. They gave me the alternate choice to move out of my unit then get a different unit in 7 days. When I said this was horrible customer service the person asked if there was anything else they could do. I had to laugh. I said she could figure out how to make this work. She responded with have a nice day then hung up on me.I called the new Extra Space just down the street. I had planned to move from an Extra Space location in LA to the Public Storage location as it was more convenient and their prices were good. Even though Im an existing customer with Extra Space they still gave me a month free and will prorate the month at my old unit.If Public Storage had figured out how to do this they would have had a customer for at least the next 2 years but now theyve lost a customer forever.

Comment: We moved to this property to weeks ago, it is a new property, but unfortunatly it is not clean at all, our storage is in the 4th floor, and the floor is always dirty, the elevators are always dirty as well, and so dusty. Can you imagine, that we never a trash can in the property?? First day while we were moving to this storage we saw trash on floor all over the place. And i was telling my husband, tenant should be clean and should not through trash on the floor. But day after day i realized thst no trash can in the place, so tenants finds it easier to through things on the floor.I suggest tgey should clean every day, cause i see bunch of employees sitting doing nothing all day. We were dissapointed since we moved to this storage. We used to be in a different storage, so cleannnn, have very nice snd clean smell always. Elevators are super shiny and clean and sll floors as well. I do regret moving to public storage. Maybe if they stsrt cleaning, and putting trash cans at least near the elevators or in the lobby, would be good for them.

She gave me a tour of the faciity and my prospective stoage space a 10x 20.She anwered my many questions patiently and she helped me register and sign up professionally. I would like to commend the young woman manager Teresa as being an execellent representative for the Public Storage Company. She is obviously intelligent, professional, patient, and very experienced in her position. Not to mention that while she was assisting me so expeditiously, she was also training a new worker. Comment: The only complaint I have is I wish carts were available after hours, and I wish there were trash bins around as I am downsizing. If it is after office hours when I am there to go through my things, I have to lug a huge trash bag, load it in my car and haul it off.The staff is friendly and helpful. A friend helped me move stuff into the unit. He is tall, young and able to reach high places. While it made it easier to get more stuff into the unit, I had to get a few of those things that were out of reach. One of the staff members actually came to my unit and helped me get those items I couldnt reach so I wouldnt fall and risk injury.That was greatly appreciated.

Comment: This location is an Excellent facility. But not the Glassell Park Public Storage. That Glassell Park facility says that theyre climate controlled, but dont believe it! Its so hot and humid inside their main building that I had valuable keepsakes ruined. Its especially hot & humid if you have a unit on their 3rd floor. Like a sauna on hot days.Called the company to correct. Resulted in AC being turned on for a short while. Then off again a few days later. Its even off during these 90-100 degree days were currently having in Los Angeles. Too bad this one location is spoiling the reputation of PS. HOWEVER, THE NEW SAN FERNANDO ROAD FACILITY IS ABSOLUTELY F A N T A S T I C ! Nice people, great facility. Honestly cool Climate Control inside on all floors.
