The place is very well kept and the service from Mike is top notch as he will go out of his way to help you in any way possible. Comment: I recently had a terrible experience with Public Storage and I am writing this review to share my disappointment with their services. The employee upfront, Mike, changed my reservation without my approval and was unable to revert it back to the original one. He even tried to bait and switch me into paying more for a different unit.When Mike realized his mistake, he called his boss, but they were unable to offer any solutions or remedies to the situation. I was left feeling frustrated and disappointed by the lack of effort on their part to make things right. Its clear that Public Storage did not value my business or care about my experience as a customer.To make matters worse, this is not the first negative experience Ive had with Public Storage. As a paying customer, I deserve to have reliable and efficient services, and Public Storage has failed to deliver on this front.I would not recommend Public Storage to anyone and urge others to look for alternatives. Their competitors next door offer far better services and I have found better options with them. As a customer, its important to have confidence in the services that you are paying for, and unfortunately, Public Storage has not been able to deliver on this front.

Comment: This Public Storage facility has aggressively raised the rates of our 2 storage units close to 50% in less than a year! Bait and switch tactics. We’ve talked to other renters who’ve experienced massive increases as well. To add insult to injury, in a recent visit, the facility elevators were not working properly and there were only 2 carts for the entire building despite repeated requests to increase them. Very disappointing.

Comment: I’ve been rented this facility for at least three years and have never been notified. If they’ve had a string of robberies, it would’ve been nice if they were notified the tenants of any robberies that we could have the opportunity to purchase insurance to protect our personal merchandise, but they never notified us and on Christmas December 25 of this year 2022. We were robbed and hit hard on the third floor and when 7 of us tenants asked the manager if this has happened before he said he never had any history of that he’s aware of any that he’s only been there three months, but when the police officer showed up for my report because apparently I was one of the few people that had merchandise missing, he vividly told her that they’ve had a string of robberies three or four of them when he had told me and seven other couples from the 3rd that the floor that was robbed and hit hard that he wasn’t aware of any others so he admitted in a sense to the officer that he was aware that there had been string of robberies, and I think that’s unfortunate because he should’ve given us the tenants an opportunity to insure our units and products since they don’t do it automatically we could protect our products and some of the items cannot be replaced. They failed to secure our units even in the manner of communication. That is poor business practices.

With the help and professionalism of employee, Jacob, I have been able to really evaluate what amount of space I truly would need to accurately consolidate my 3 units into 2 with the appropriate amount of floor and height space, without loosing or wasting space.All within my budget!!I recommend Public Storage, Cooks Bay Drive for all your storage needs. I had visited several storage businesses in my area & this location was my last comparison. It was one of our “scorcher days”. 🥵 No one had my preferred size available & I needed a “drive up unit”. This sweet young gal, Kat, was so nice, showed me possible spaces, but none met my needs. She took my cell number & said she would call me, if something became available. Two days later she called to tell me a unit just was vacated that met my needs. She was pleasant & eager to help in anyway. I did not have this experience at other locations. Kat ROCKS! Comment: When I started renting here 5 years ago, I was paying half of what they had just bumped me up to. They raise their rates constantly and advertise move-in specials to new victims, not existing, loyal, paying customers, whom they gauge with making up the difference.When I got the unit, they had 4 bathrooms available for use. They closed all but one and it is the one right by their office. If you have a unit at the end of the facility be prepared for a walk. They drive golf carts so it doesnt matter. When I reported the restroom broken they shrugged and said they would put an out of order sign on it. Really? I pay $330 a month for a unit you will rent for $180 to a new customer and you turn the lights off on me every 2 min, close the only bathroom and lock up the handcarts when you go home? So after they leave, dont count on using one of the carts they advertise you can use. Also, if your card expires or you dont have funds available when your Autopay hits, they force you to use a credit card or go in and pay. You cant use the bank account you want and you cant call and pay over the phone. They have a service that will charge you to pay by phone. Poor service, poor understanding of their system, the manager indicated that the gate access code could not be changed and that they always lock up the carts. I have been using Public Storage since he was in kindergarten and both statements are not true. I do like the the access hours. Thats it.

Comment: I was very disappointed by the deceptive payment system and subsequent lack of customer service I have experienced with this branch and also the company headquarters. I have been a loyal customer of Public Storage for 2+years and always paid my bill on time. Recently, there was a problem with the autopay on my account (not clear why) and when I was notified of the issue, I immediately paid the bill in full, still on time. I was notified that my payment was successful and the issue was resolved, so I was surprised when I was notified I was delinquent on my account a few weeks later with large late fees accumulating. After calling this branch and being referred to the company headquarters, I was told very rudely that just because you receive payment confirmation, does not actually mean you have paid anything! I was also told this was completely my fault and that I was not intelligent enough to use their online system. In the end, the matter was not resolved to my satisfaction. Because I do not live in the area, I was forced to pay late fees in order to keep my unit (of course with the promise of receiving payment confirmation). To me, this issue was simply a problem with the online payment system at the time, and certainly did not warrant personal attacks towards the customer.

Comment: The staff Abdullah and Tif were very helpful and experienced in getting what I need to make my move easier. Maybe a little too helpful... they do try to tack on or suggest as many additional items to increase your total cost. It may be genuine interest in making sure you have everything taken care of, but to me it felt a little too pushy like a salesman. While Public Storage has great deals on renting storage units, their other items such as boxes are not as good of a deal. I was able to find better prices elsewhere (U-haul).Still I highly recommend this location for storage. Huge location, very secure. Make sure to check their website for better rates! Strangely, these lower rates can only be obtained online and not over the phone or in person.

Comment: I am planning to move my household items into a storage next month for couple of months and i went to this Public Storage facility to check the prices. I was greeted by Abdullah and Tif in the office and I was amazed by their professionalism. They explained the process to me and Abdullah showed me just the right unit i will need. Great pricing and they also have all the packing supplies i need for the move. They are both friendly and efficient. Loved the experience and would encourage all to go for Public Storage and ask for Abdullah or Tif.. Thumbs up!!!!!!

Comment: Very nice facility, clean and personnel very helpful.Walked in for info, spoke with Jana, she answered all my questions.Went online to make reservation and immediately got call from Jana to verify appointment time for move-in.Arrived late for move-in and Abdullah explained all paperwork and showed us to our unit and instructed us about access codes and online payment processing.Very nice experience both times.

Comment: We have been customers of Public Storage for many years. We actually have 3 spaces presently at this location. The customer service from this location is five stars!!! The staff are so courteous, professional and helpful.They have gone out of their way to help us. Tammy, the property manager, most especially has shown us such courtesy. The property is always clean and well cared for. She made sure our storage units were close to each other so we would be easily able to access them.We highly recommend this location Steve and Sue Bernritter
