Its been a great experience. I rented a 10x10 storage unit from Jan. 2018 through May 2020. The staff was always very nice and helpful. All of my 1 bedroom furniture pieces were stored here for the entire time and in the end, they were in great shape and I was able to sell them in great conditions. The place is very clean and in a perfect location. Highly recommend!
Gema was super friendly and professional! She gave me lots of information on my unit and the storage facility and recommended different helpful products to keep the items in my unit safe and damage free. I left there feeling happy to have chosen Public Storage as my storage space for my stuff. She even helped me get set up online to make it easier to pay/monitor my account online! Definitely recommend this location for your storage needs!
I want to say Thank you to Kari, who helped me review storage space, quoted me storage prices and also went over the importance of having insurance on storage unit. Within 15 minutes, I was absolutely confident that this would be the storage location for my items. Kari also greeted me when I came in the door, even though she was helping another client at the present time, and once I decided to sign my contract, I was at peace with that Public Storage was the right place.Thank you for your excellent service Kari!!!!
Customer service is excellent! Kari was extremely helpful, nice, informative and professional. All of my questions got answered without me having to ask 100 of them and got me exactly what i needed with no hassle. If your in the market for a storage unit or even some moving boxes i highly recommend this location!
I work at a business near by, and during the holiday season we use this Public Storage for our overstock merchandise. Kari has helped us year after year with finding the units that’ll work best for us at a fair rate. She makes a connection with us, and remembers our employees even if they only stop in once. Pam is awesome! I came in pretty close to closing time on a Monday evening, but she willingly took time to assess my needs and find the storage unit best suited for me. After showing me the unit, we went back into the office to complete the paperwork. She did not rush through it. Pam made sure that I understood my rights and responsibilities of renting the unit. She made sure that my access code worked properly, and told me that I could always contact her with questions or concerns. Pam was kind, understanding and thorough. Exceptional customer service like this is a rarity nowadays. Im very grateful for your help! Thanks Pam!
This was the best rate we could find locally, however, the customer service Pam provided to us was the best we could have imagined. She stayed, late to make sure we could get registered and get our storage unit after 2 accidents on the road held us up with a full uhaul. She was extremely accommodating, and beyond helpful taking her time, and giving us extra time and assistance. Units are clean, well lit and location is great.
I had the pleasure of working with the manager Pam. She was very professional, knowledgeable, friendly & patient with me. I had NO clue about renting a storage unit and Pam explained everything in detail and showed me what all of the units looked like & she definitely went above and beyond to help me. I have told everyone that I know about how great Public Storage is mainly because of how Pam treated me. Pam is the reason I chose Public Storage. You can see that Pam really enjoys & loves her job, especially working with the public. Thank you Pam from the bottom of my heart!😊
Pam was extremely helpful, she made the moving process a breeze. Moving is stressful enough but with her help and OUTSTANDING customer service it kept us smiling the whole way. I couldn’t be more thankful to have such an amazing person in the office. She always has a smile on her face and such a positive attitude. My husband and I rented a storage unit this past Sunday from Daniel at this location, to store our things prior to our moving date. He was very personable and friendly and it was a delight to work with him. He had great attention to detail in relaying all the information we needed to know, as well as answering all of our questions with patience and clarity. You can tell he enjoys helping people find the right fit for their needs.We were very happy with the prices as well as the type of unit we were able to rent. We have already loaded some of our stuff into our unit and everything worked as stated.So to sum up - Rather than being a dreaded chore to rent a storage unit, it turned out to be a most informative and enjoyable experience, especially our interaction with Daniel. :)
I originally went to the Beck/Michigan Ave location and was redirected here by Rita so I could get a better deal (how awesome is that?). Great service at both locations! Im a first time renter and Kari was super helpful and friendly, explained everything in detail and answered all of my questions clearly. I would recommend 10/10.
I am REALLY pleased with the service here. I went to go rent a storage locker somewhere else, and they gave my reserved locker away to someone else. I called Public Storage at 5:15 at this location, and Kari, the store manager (I believe), and told her I needed to rent a locker. They close at 6:00, but she said she would stay late and wait for me. Sure enough, when I showed up, Kari was waiting and stayed late and we finished the whole process. She was amazing!
Kris was extremely friendly and helpful. I had a unit at the Public Storage on Joy Road in Canton for years and it was a horrible experience with the rudest manager I had ever dealt with. I was very skeptical to try Public Storage again, but this location was the complete opposite. Worth driving a little further. No longer feel like a bother when you open the door of the office. Instead, greeted with a welcoming smile and small talk. I wish I would have switched locations years ago!
I looked for many storage options around my area and couldn’t really find a place I liked. But when I met Kari at public storage on Haggerty I knew that this was it. She made everything so easy and convenient that I knew I wanted the unit before we even looked at it. Thanks to you I have my property safe and secure.

This is my first time using a storage facility. Setting up everything and moving in has been a breeze. Kari was great! Very friendly and helpful. Helped me decide on exactly what I needed. Explained things clearly (and repeated anything I didnt understand.) Hoping the rest of my experience is just as good. 🙂
I had trouble getting my storage unit open as the door was stuck and we couldnt lift it more than an inch to see why. The manager Dan responded to my voicemail in five minutes, and they had the problem fixed within 24 hours! One of my items had shifted and blocked the lip of the door. They were able to shift it for me to get it open again. Super grateful for the fast and courteous service!
Had a property here for about 6 months. Never received no notification about my property cutting my lock off. Never received no email or text message about my due date or nothing. Very unprofessional. Would not recommend for any of your storage space. Extra storage is cheaper and they also provide emails when the account is due.
Moving from California back to Michigan I needed a place to store my things until I knew what my final living arrangements were. Brittany made the process painless. First she asked me a few questions to get a feel for what size space I might need. Then she showed me a few storage units so I could determine myself what size I might feel comfortable renting. She worked through the paperwork quickly but thoroughly and explained to me everything I was signing. Then she walked back with me to the storage unit to show me how to set the lock in the door.She was even willing to call around to other locations when I asked if a semi-truck might be able to get through the gates to drop off some items. I ended up declining but it was great that she had the foresight to ask and offer.They allow for more than one person to have access to the storage unit which is good for spouses, room mates, etc.The site itself looks a bit well-worn but clean. Hopefully my experience unloading and storing my items will be as hassle free as the rental went.
I was quite pleased with how well my recent storage unit rental went. The facility manager, Pam, was outstanding to work with. She was extremely helpful and highly knowledgeable about the facility, rental processes, etc. I was in a bind due to a reservation goof up at another facility. Pam fit me in for a same day appointment to look at available units. While I was there the exact size/type of unit that I needed became available. Pam steered me through their website so I could quickly reserve the unit, lock in a good rate, and set a start date. Later, I requested to pull ahead the start date and that was accommodated as well. My only small gripe was that there was no advance notice about the property insurance requirement. I was initially forced to purchase Public Storages insurance, and then to cancel it and get a refund I had to return with proof of my own insurance. Had I known about the insurance requirement, I would have brought my proof to the initial contract signing....not a big deal.
Amy & Marissa were extremely helpful & pleasant! They answered any questions I had and were very efficient. The storage unit size Amy recommended was spot on, as well. Facility is very clean and they even offered temporary 24 hour access to me while I moved my things over the weekend.I have zero complaints!
I came here the other day because I was told they had great prices on boxes from a friend of mine, and I needed a certain kind of box. I had the pleasure working with Ashley. She helped me decided on what box I needed after spending about 20 minutes here I had to come back because I couldn’t use that box and she was able to return that one so I could get a different one .So not only do they have great prices but you can also return them if need be.
Amy always has a cheerful smile and attitude whenever I walk in! She is very reliable and ready to help. We love the safety and security of the Canton Public Storage and love how up-kept and clean the facility is.Its also nice that there is always a dolly/loading cart available for communal use, and seeing how our unit is upstairs it really helps loading/unloading onto the elevator. The rates are awesome as well!
I recently rented a unit at this Public Storage location and was seriously impressed with the customer service I received from Marissa. Beyond being extremely professional and helpful when I first moved in, as I was moving out I was stuck in the unenviable position of needing to contact roadside assistance for the moving vehicle I had driven there. All of my belongings were locked in the vehicle, including my cell phone. She allowed me to borrow her phone to contact roadside assistance and receive updates when they would arrive. Now thats going the extra mile. I would highly recommend this location, in no small part, due to excellent customer service I received from Marissa.
I have been with Public Storage for about 1 1/2 years. The location is really convenient and the unit size is perfect. I would like to inform you guys that at my recent visit to my unit. On this day I didnt have anyone to help me. One of your employees by the name of Amy offered to help. I thought that was very nice of her to offer her assistance. I just want to take the time to give her Kudos!!
I would recommend this store strictly based on the customer service i received, i came in to pick up a few boxes & was helped by a team member named Kari.Kari was super friendly & even helped me take my boxes to my car when my kids were being less than cooperative. Much appreciated!
Needed a storage unit right now for some unanticipated stuff. Amy set me up with a very convenient and easy to access storage unit. Process went quickly and I moved stuff in within the hour!. Access to the facility is very easy and their location is great. They have plenty of moving or storage supplies on site. Loved it!Ill be back!
Very simple and quick process. The associate Brittany was very detailed and explained everything thoroughly. I would definitely store here again. Would give them 5 stars, but it seems like a big money grab to have special locks and plates that are very overpriced and can only be purchased from them.

Very good service. It was easy to sign up, and I got a very good price by booking online. When I was done, I was even able to cancel online without visiting the site (I did call to check that it worked). Thank you for understanding the Internet. Great experience, and would use them again.
May be the least customer service oriented organization that I have ever seen. Makes Comcast look like the gold standard for customer service. On-site personnel are surly and incompetent. District Manager does not return phone calls. Started out trying to scam me and have gone downhill from there. Place is filthy and in disrepair. If I had the ability to get my stuff out of there I would, but I no longer have a trailer or a truck.
The place was very clean very secure, the manager Kari was very nice and friendly very easy to talk to very helpful in explaining what goes on and how to enter and exit the building very nice and courteous with a pleasant smile she also explain everything in detail thank you sincerely. Robert Ford
I had a unit in another of their locations for over a year. I wanted to rent another unit on Hagerty road so went on line and got a deal for a Dollar for first month and Internet rate. But when I went to the location the manager refused to honor the 1 Dollar for first month deal by saying since I am renting another unit in a different location I would not qualify.This is ridiculous to deal with an existing customer. I would cancel and go to another company after 1 month.
Ive had this unit for 6 months, I had some things I absolutely had to have tonight but the locked door would not open when i put my code in and said call manager but they close early if you work for a living. Huge inconvenience to not be able to retrieve things from my unit.
Description:I rented a storage unit back at the end of September of 2014 and was told at the time of my rental that the light in my unit did not work they it would be fixed in a couple of weeks ok no problem so back in December of 2014 I went to the storage unit the light is still not working when I inquired then I was told that there is was a bigger problem and that now it probably wont be fixed until March because there is an issue with the lighting the that entire area and some stuff had to be dug up . I was never called and told this I just went to the unit one night and did not have any lights I fell as though had I not complained no one would have ever told me. It is now May the lights still dont work and now the rental fee has increased I fell that I the rep misrepresented the unit that the property knew there was an issue with the lights and rented the unit to me anyway knowing that once I was in there I would not want to move cause it is more of a hassle. I have contacted customer service who told me to contact the property cause the property manage had to deal with my issue when i contacted the property manager he told me I had to talk to customer service so now I am getting bounces around from person to person and cannot get a resolution I have only been told that corporate knows about the lighting problem and are working to get it fixed but they dont know how long it will take. I rented a unit with the expectation that I would have a working light and I have not had one the website clearly states that the facility is clean and well-lit well my unit is not so now its also false advertisement.
Kris is the best propery manager in all the states iv been too shes so helpful and thoughtful makes the customer s feel right at home even though im from nj miles away She keeps the property clean inside and out her cystomer service skills are A1 Will be using this same storage just for that deff a great choice THANK KRIS !!
Reserved a unit here, husband went to rent it at 4pm and she said she didnt have any units available. When he got back at quarter to 5pm I called and asked if the unit I had reserved was available and she said yes. I asked if he could come up there right away and rent it (he would have been there at 5 pm... Again). And she said no, the computer is already shut down. Horrible customer service, a waste of time and now I dont have a storage unit for the weekend.
I AM A CUSTOMER OF 2YRS AND I HAVE EXPERIENCE THE MOST UNPROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCES FROM THE DISTRICT MANAGER OF THREE LOCATIONS OF PUBLIC STORAGE, WESTLAND AND 2 LOCATIONS IN CANTON MICHIGAN. PUBLIC STORAGE, I AM SURE ESTABLISHED THE BUSINESS TO PROVIDE THEIR CLIENTS WITH STORAGE AND EXCELLENT SERVICE. WELL AS I CLIENT ,UPON PAYING MY PAYMENT ON A MONTHLY BASES .I EXCEPT THOSE QUALITIES. I HAVE HAD THE MOST HORRIBLE EXPERIENCES RESOLVING PROBLEMS THAT WAS CLEARING THE FAULT OF PUBLIC STORAGE, AND CLEARLY SEEING THAT THE STAFF AT THESE LOCATIONS ARE ABUSED AND PUT IN DIFFERENT SITUATIONS, HAVE MADE ME A VERY DISSATISFIED CLIENT.FOR EXAMPLE... AT THIS LOCATION 2101 N HAGGERTY RD, IN CANTON MICHIGAN YOU HAVE NICE STAFF MEMBERS, PROPERTY MANAGERS, KELLY AND AMANDA. FOR THE LAST 2 MONTHS I HAVE RENTED TWO SPACES TO STORE MY VEHICLES, A COLLECTORS MERCEDES BENZ, AND A TOYOTA PRIMEVA. SINCE DECEMBER WE HAVE BEEN CLOSED IN WITH THE SNOW MAKING IT IMPOSSIBLE TO MOVE THE CARS , START THEM, OR EVEN CLEAN THE SNOW FROM THEM. WHEN I EXPLAINED THE MATTER TO THE STAFF THEY TIRED TO CONTACT THE DISTRICT MANAGER TO ARRANGE THE PLOW COMPANY TO REMOVE THE SNOW. THE DISTRICT MANAGER DID NOT RETURN ANY RESULTS TO RESOLVE THE MATTER, STILL PAYING MY PAYMENTS , I LEAVE OUT OF TOWN ON BUSINESS AND NOW RETURNING BACK , FEB 5,6,7 AND THE SNOW IS HIGHER AND NOW WE HAVE SNOW INSIDE OF OUR MERCEDES BENZ , AND I STILL CAN NOT GET MY CARS OUT .YOU SEE THE SNOW , WITH RAIN HAS BECOME SO HEAVY THAT IT CLASPED THE TOP OF THE SUNROOF ON THE CAR HAVING SNOW FILLING THE FRONT SEATS. I CONTACTED AAA TO COME OUT THEY SAID WE CAN NOT REMOVE THE CARS UNTIL THE SNOW IS REMOVED, I DID SPEAK TO THE DISTRICT MANAGER ON FEB7, 2014. I SPOKE TO HIM ABOUT THE DAMAGE ALL HE SAID WAS HE IS SORRY ABOUT OUR PROBLEM , BUT HE WILL TRY TO GET THE PLOW COMPANY TO COME OUT MONDAY, (MAYBE) REMIND YOU TODAY IS FRIDAY. AND GUESS WHAT I STILL WAS CHARGED FOR THE MONTH, WHICH I DID PAY. CANTON POLICE CAME OUT AND MADE A REPORT, LOOKING IN DISBELIEF THAT WE WERE STILL CHARGED.THIS IS ONE OF MANY BAD EXPERIENCES WE HAVE RECEIVED FROM A UNPROFESSIONAL DISTRICT MANAGER OF PUBLIC STORAGE IN RESULT I WILL NOT RECOMMEND ANY OF MY FRIENDS, FAMILY OR BUSINESS PARTNERS TO PUBLIC STORAGE IN THE LOCATIONS HE MANAGES.

2017-09-12Management and staff are first rate. It is safe and secure. Easy on and off north and south bound I-275. Be careful at intersection of Ford and Haggerty especially if you have a trailer. Great rates too.
