Cant find my review but the blanket that was already on the bed when we went in had a big hole in it & walking down the halls all u could smell was cigarettes. A guy was walking down the hall & asked my husband if we knew where to get dope from. Just because its in grand Blanc doesnt mean its a good place. More drugs in & out that place than you would think. Front desk didnt do anything about it. 😡😡😡
Enjoyed my stay here. I was a bit hesitant after reading some bad reviews but I found nothing wrong with my room. It was clean, stocked and everything worked. There were lots of TV channels, the pool was in working order and there was a nice complimentary breakfast when I stayed. The staff here are very friendly and helpful. I will definitely choose to stay here again.
We got a non-smoking room and it had been smoked in for sure (smelled horrible). The sheets for the bed had a few different stains on them that were a bit disconcerting. The shower had what looked like black mold or something similar on the ceiling around the trim of the shower. Finally the beds were both very uncomfortable, they were higher at the feet than the head, and it dipped noticeably in the center. I ended up sleeping with a back brace on the entire night to give me a moniker of relief. The walls were very thin and we could hear a lot of different sounds coming from the rooms and hallway around us. One positive was I didnt see bed bugs.(For clarification after receiving word from management about my post: We had scheduled two rooms for the weekend. Upon not being able to use the room we called to cancel and were told my the employee that it would be taken care of. When we got to the hotel to use our 1 room we were informed that we were still being billed by for the other room. Puzzled we inquired further and found that the employee had not followed through with our request. Sadly at this hour we were unable to fill the second room)Please understand that the managements post does not refute or negate the poor state of the room.
The room was clean, Matt and James were amazing. There were cigarette burns on the edge of the tub, the toilet paper was backwards (under not over), the GM was unsympathetic and unhelpful in dealing with their hotel over charging me for my stay. Kept insisting that it was normal to be charged almost a hundred more for the authorization then the total for my stay and then 50 more on the actual charge than my booking (including taxes). They made it impossible for me to work and cost me hundreds of dollars because of it.
Staff is awesome. The weekly night shift girl is amazing. She deserves a raise, always friendly and looked out for me and my kids..There are however issues that need to be taken care of within housekeeping/maintence. The pool room is FREEZING, the water is warm compared to the room but thats not saying much, there needs to be heaters or something checked into, I was not the only guest that complained about the temp of that room..I checked in 2 separate times(2weeks) my 1st room was fine. My 2nd room(128) the tub faucet never full turned off and the tub itself has issues draining. We also found dirty socks beside the beds and finger nails/ crumbs dust around the bed area. The stairs are also right by the room so all night I heard people going up and down and the rear door slaming at all hours of the night, definitely need to get that back door taken care of with a new spring, even a door stopper it is god awful loud..All in all I felt safe there and Id stay there again. Just little issues that could be resolved.
The room was dirty. I had to clean the bathroom and the refrigerator and microwave when I went into the room. I didnt mind they couldnt clean room in-between days( we stayed 3) I would have liked the trash removed. When I needed clean towels I had to bring them to the front desk and they counted them to makeSure I returned them before getting more.Ice was locked up. I dont believe they put out enough food for the number of guest in the morning. .I wouldnt recommend this hotel unless you are stuck.su
Overall: Its an option, but its certainly not the best one or even a good one. Stay if you must, but I wouldnt book again. The good: Very friendly/efficient customer service, for both check in and check out. The bed was clean and comfortable. The not-so-good: Other than the bed, everything else was unclean. The toilet was disgusting - the seat hadnt been cleaned from the previous guest and you could clearly see stains/droplets from their stay. There were crumbs/dirt/bits all around the bed, and like others have said, the room smelled like smoke. The free breakfast is laughable and closes at 9AM. Also the room rates are expensive given what you get.
My family and I had the pleasure of staying here for About 3 weeks. Lucky for us it is managed by two of the most wonderful people I know in the hotel business because I used to work for them years ago. The staff are amazing and make you feel very comfortable and are very helpful. I have no complaints as far as cleanliness. This is one of the cleanest hotels I have ever been in. You definitely will not regret staying here. Thank you to all the staff for making her stay here amazing!!!
NOT family friendly!!!! Think twice about spending $140 for a room. Staff is not only not hospitable they aren’t knowledgeable about how deposits or incidentals are to be handled, as the owner states he does not even have a policy. Owner states, “it is at Manager’s discretion,” although no manager is on duty at check out. They will keep your deposit for used towels and sheets, a manager never seems to be available, no healthy choices for breakfast, and if you accidentally leave something behind in your room don’t expect it to be returned to you. However, if you have a bad experience such as our family did, call Choice Hotels Customer Relations and report them! This is newly, privately owned. They will have to learn the hard the way how to operate a business legally, unfortunately. Hopefully they do learn something because this COULD be a decent 3 star hotel.
The stay was fine, but they charged the wrong credit card, putting me over my credit limit and causing me to be fined by my credit card service!! I’m a Choice hotel member and this have a credit card on file for reserving a room. When I checked into the hotel that day, I specifically told them that I wished to pay for my 4 night stay with a different credit card. I gave the staff member the card that I wished to pay with and she supposedly swiped the card and charged my room. Two days later I happened to check my credit card balance of the card on file and found out that I was over my limit! Why? Because they charged the wrong card!! When I went up the the staff in the lobby, I was told that she didn’t know how to correct it and I would have to come back up the next day. It took several days for it to be corrected and in the mean time, I incurred “over the credit limit” fees from the card that they charged in error. So far I haven’t had any luck getting the hotel to take any responsibility for those fees. I’ve never run into this at any other hotel. This is why I’m only giving the hotel 4 stars instead of 5. Otherwise, we had a nice stay.
Desk clerks not friendly at all. The India lady asking me about my friends and family plan, “whos was it, where did my daughter worked to have this”. Really lady, not your business…😡Asked for a receipt when I paid cash at check in, she said Ill get it when I checkout. Charge to use their safe in their rooms, never heard of either. She did return my money because I dont use them. The India lady making sure my husband knew how prompt they are closing for the Continental breakfast..🤦🏻♀️Must be a Grand Blanc/Good Rich thing not being nice. Plus ice machine didn’t work, had to go to the front desk couple of times. Plus, our room wasn’t ready fo 3:00, was asked to come back around 3:30/4:00. Our drive to there was an hour and a half away. Wont be going back there anytime soon..🤷To the GM, one should NOT ask for CLARITY REASONS, that’s invasion of ones privacy and caught off guard having this question asked. I felt embarrassed. I’ve never been asked that any where else. As for the safe, NO, no one should be charged for using the safe in the room, one pays enough for a room and it’s not even listed as an option when making reservations to use for a fee. If someone don’t look over their receipt they wouldn’t notice that. Don’t put them in a room then unless someone needs to use one then. They are small, and can be moved with a dolly or a flat cart if need to do so.
If I could give 0 stars that would be more accurate. I never leave negative reviews EVER. But this is the worst hotel I have stayed in, in a very long time. The 2 girls at the reception desk were absolutely rude and uncouth when we checked in. No manners on how to interact with guests, then while taking a bath at 10 o’clock at night we get a knock at our door from maybe the manager and says that the people in the room below us are complaining of a leak from their light fixture and asked if our bathtub is over flowing. So what does that tell you there? And no our tub was not over flowing. Rooms are dirty and gross. Check in time is pushed back later than 3pm because of housekeeping and not one person was even remotely nice. We canceled reservations at a place in Flint to stay at this one. I would have rather taken my chances in Flint. Do not stay here. It’s not worth it.
Got to our room and moved one of the chairs to eat our dinner at the table. Found someones underwear that had been left by another guest (I assume). Especially with covid still being around I did not feel safe staying here. They would NOT give us a refund. Ive stayed here as a kid as well and that time there was broken glass in the pool area. My thought of giving this place a second chance Definitely back fired. Never going to stay at this quality inn again.
Staff are friendly and the lobby is nice. Surprisingly, the beds were comfy and they had enough blankets and pillows! Unfortunately, the pool was out of order, not because of covid, so that was a real bummer. Had I known about it earlier Id have went elsewhere. As for cleanliness, it was clean, but they need to fix their rooms up. There was peeling wallpaper, fridge needed to be defrosted, ac unit grill was broken in many places, and there were black spots on the ceiling. As for the cost, with fees, expect to pay over 100 a night. Overall, not awful, but not great either.
Positive: Location is excellent. Negative: I have stayed there 2 times in the last year & both times it wreaked of pot. They knew people were smoking in the hotel and did nothing about it. This time I complained within first 10 minutes. I said I would call the police if they didnt take care of it
I am beyond disappointed. I prepaid for my stay a month ahead of time, I booked a King size bed as I am 510. I was given an out dated room with an over-sized full bed. It was dirty, the bathroom was dirty with a rusty door frame. The ceiling was torn. There was no ice for my 6 day stay. I would not recommend this hotel.
Woof.Listen, didn’t expect much from a Quality Inn but I at least expected more than we got.Breakfast is included, but the breakfast isn’t worth it. No eggs (even boiled, that I’d expect. Cheap, easy to store… come on.) or even yogurt cup options. Just bread and cereal and these weird prepackaged breakfast burritos that were meant for convection ovens and no instructions for microwave use, so good luck to ya! Not to mention, Sunday they ran out of orange juice in the machine by 7 am and one of the staff said it’s because a night manager keeps drinking it all. Really? Classless.Monday came and the hotel had cleared out except for a few work crews who were already out the door by the time we were up at 6:30, and there was no coffee or fruit or even the bagels we expected like yesterday. I guess the staff don’t really care about the monday crowd. We had 4 people in our room, and thus needed an extra towel (we had 3) and the lady at the desk literally told my mother she should bring one of our used towels back before retrieving a new one. Mom didn’t stand for that (cuz we needed 4 towels, duh.) and I guess she won the tussle because she came back to the room with 2 fresh towels.I work in customer care, and am really sensitive to the needs of my guests at my work, so don’t think I’m just picking for no reason. It’s hard work, I get it. But this staff didn’t give a damn about us while we were here.I just want to let Grand Blanc’s Quality Inn to know that you guys have GOT to do better.
Walls are paper thin. Stains on comforter. They dont clean theyre rooms until you leave. Pool closes at 8pm and are strictly enforced. Tried getting towels all day, couldnt get them until after 8pm. Family before us asked for pool towels and they got 1 for a family of 4 because they were out. Staff is not very friendly, there was no coffee. Cops got called the night before. No drinking water at the time.( because the guy threw the water tank the night before)
Everything in the room was damp. The floor, comforters, blankets, and pillows- all damp. I assume this was due to some sort of decontamination process. I had to wear shoes around the room the entire time, and my clothing felt damp after sitting and laying on the bed. Very uncomfortable. They also have the goofiest deposit system I have ever experienced... Because I didnt have a credit card (I had a debit card with ample funds to take a deposit from), I was informed I would have to use cash for the $100 deposit. Therefore, I had to drive to an ATM to get cash, to give to the clerk, to be returned to me the following morning after waiting for the room to be inspected for damages.Overall, would not recommend.
Ants, ants and bites! Stayed here for our 16th wedding anniversary/ vow renuals. Breakfast was no coffee, no milk, no nothing! Told front desk and she was rude. Ended up at mcdonalds due to we were going to be late to our renual ceremony if I waited any longer for her to do anything. Ice machine was broken and room was disgusting. Hangers in room were little child walmart hangers not ment for my big beautiful dress. The room ended up.being infested with ants and we woke up.with bites all saturday and took my coffee to front dest to show them the dead bugs floating in it. No refund of our stay and they did not care at all. Really disappointed cause we came back to Indiana covered in bug bites- looked terriable in my now pictures of my special day** as to managent response- coffee was NOT left overnight. It was still WARM when I brought it to the man at the desk. He saw the cup was fresh and I talked to your pest control guy so it was not a different day they came..... you dont even know what your talking about! I told you right away, multiple times even, not at check out. As far as i attracted the ants- they must have been there to attract to the cup in the first place! Its not like i traveled 8 hours to michigan with a cup of ants just to get a free hotel stay. How sad you rather argue with your guests then see all the reviews are the same. Bad staff, lack of/ no breakfast, dirty, damp, and when brought to your attention - you blame the guests. And the big discount- you gave me $22 on October 3rd. That is not a refund, that is what my kids get for allowance.
The hotel smelled like cigarettes and weed, the refrigerator was disgusting and froze all my food (yes, I turned down the temperature), the shower head hardly put out any water which took me forever to rinse my hair, the door on the side of the building does not work, the entrance doorway is not user friendly when you’re trying to carry in tons of luggage or use the cart. The hotel was quiet and staff was friendly. The hotel DEFINITELY needs to be upgraded
Rooms were nice but the night was kind of ruined. We called and made reservations a week prior to our visit. We informed them it was for a little girls birthday and wanted to know about the pool situation during Covid-19. They informed us all was well that indeed the pool was open and on the date we were staying it most likely would not be busy at all. This was exciting. Upon check in we entered our rooms, very nice and clean and got ready to take the kids to the pool. The pool was beautiful, and the water was warm, but the area the pool is in was ridiculously freezing. Beyond being able to sit there and watch the kids. It was so cold ice and snow had formed on the inside of the doors and windows, it felt like we were outside. 4 heaters inside the pool area and all of them turned off. Day 1 I turned them on to 90 degrees before the pool closed, in hopes that in the morning when the kids wanted to swim it would be warmer in the pool area. Come back that morning and staff had turned all of them off but one and left it at 70 degrees. I understand about saving money but this was ridiculous, how do they expect guest to use the facility like that. I’ve stayed at a lot of quality inns throughout MI, this was so disappointing.
Positive: The staff was very accommodating and helpful Negative: They said they offered breakfast. Their pictures showed fresh fruit, cereal and a chaffer (which would you assume was a hot breakfast item) but when we went to get breakfast they had no fresh fruit, no cereal and no chaffer with food. Very disappointing
The check in was easy and the clerk was super nice! The price was good and the room was clean. They were totally following social distancing guidelines too.I felt much more at ease knowing that they were following guidelines.I would definitely stay there again.I will give them a big thumbs up for employees and cleanliness!
Wish I could give 0 stars... TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE. DO NOT STAY HERE. First, had to call 3 times to make my reservation because they couldnt find the wedding block rooms. Had to ask for the confirmation number and no confirmation email was sent (MAKE SURE YOU ASK FOR ONE BECAUSE THEY WILL SCREW YOU). Booked for one night, tried to check in and they said we booked for two and didnt show, so they charged us a fee. Front desk lady accused us of lying, wouldnt listen to us, and refused to give us a room, even after we showed we were charged for one night. It was IMPOSSIBLE to talk with her about it. Everything needs to be changed at this location. Will NEVER book at a Quality Inn again.
Not exactly clean as I would have like. I always open the drawers because that helps me get a better feel for the hotel overall level over cleaning. Being there were cotton balls and makeup boxes in the night stand, i didnt even look in the dresser drawers after that, the cleaning staff for sure, skimping on the cleaning. The sheets were clean though. It was quiet and the staff was nice. Other then the improper cleaning and dated look, there are a FEW upgrades, could use more for sure but I MAY stay again. For the price, maybe.
Great place. Quiet and clean. The receptionist handled a situation with the guests on front of me, exceptionally! The guests were rude. The gals name started with an A (sorry I cant remember her name) but she kept calm and held an absolute great poker face bc i know it had to be hard. She couldnt find the reservation they claimed they made with the toll free number (not her fault) so they started cutting down the motel itself like it was a dump and said they should go back to the other hotel, yet they sat and waited for her to try and find out the issue all while they cut the place down. Then, they called her from there cell phone while 10 feet away from her to complain about her.She was polite, curtious, friendly and promptly looked up our reservation with no issues. Thats hospitality satisfaction!
Staff was very rude and difficult to work with. They charged my credit card card twice saying that one was to hold the room and the other was the actual charge and the first would be removed but it wasnt and they refuse to remedy it so I have to go through my bank and dispute the charge. Hotel required cash deposit and than charged $40 against it to wash a towel that had orange juice spilled on it.The breakfast had foods that need to be warmed in a convectional oven and they had a microwave not convection oven. The juice was barely more than flavored water. The building itself had a strong odd pinesol musty floral smoky smell. There is no elevator for the second floor which is just a minor inconvenience but guests should be aware before they book.I have always enjoyed choice hotels but this makes me second guess my decision to stay in a choice hotel in the future.
BEWARE!!!!!!!This was an absolutely horrendous stay! we reserved our room the day before, when we arrived at check in hotel staff asked for a 2nd credit card to hold for incidentals /damages we were told there was absolutely no smoking, even though our room stank like moldly stale cigarettes! No towels at pool sideFront desk would not answer the in room phone calls...With the breakfast they advertised was completely different then what we saw in real life! And yes we completely understand the current world situation
The staff is always friendly and helpful. The room was fine, although there was a hole in the carpeting in the middle of the room. Beds are comfy, room was clean. Bathroom is small, but when youre only there for a day or two, its not a big deal. We like that they have hot options on the breakfast buffet (scrambled eggs, sausage links and cubed potatoes the day we were there). Much better than the grab-and-go only options at other places. We used the pool and loved it - the water temperature was very comfortable. We havent been able to swim at other places, as the water was too cold. This pool was nice.
I dont know if it was the day we went or what but we switched rooms and both were filthy. There was hair on the beds, accompanied by clearly noticeablestains. And the bathrooms, I dont think were cleaned at all. I dont think room we were in was cleaned. I cancelled our reservation and Im waiting on a refund. The bathtub had hair. Just disappointing and gross.
I was very disappointed because when I got to my room the sheets and bedding on one of the beds were dirty (stained). They brought me new sheets and I had to change my own bed and when I pulled them back there were crumbs and dirt in the bed. (Disgusting). Went to use the toilet there was toilet paper stuck to the inside of the bowl because it has been there too long and never flushed down during my stay and use of it so that was nasty. Went to take shower there was NO SHOWER CURTAIN. I had to have them bring that to the room. I felt like I should have just stayed home since I had to clean the hotel room before I stayed in it. ALSO the floor had not been swept because the previous guest left a hanger tag on the floor underneath the table. No compensation for my troubles whatsoever from the company.
I chose this hotel because of the reviews complimenting the cleanliness. The reviews were correct, and cleanliness is my number one criteria when picking a hotel. The front desk staff were personable, as were the housekeeping staff we encountered. Check-in was extremely slow due to computer glitches. The location is nice and we did not hear road noise as our room was in the back. Pool is small but cute, but we did not use it. Breakfast was appreciated. On the downsize, I missed the internet description that this is a two-story hotel with no elevator. As I was traveling with a senior citizen it could have been a deal-breaker had I not been able to get a first floor room. Fortunately, this was not a problem even though property was sold out. Our toilet seat was wiggly; a fact that should have been difficult to ignore by housekeeping when the stool was cleaned. I attempted to tighten it myself (yuck) as maintenance was not available. The other negative was the noise transfer from the room above us, but since they quieted down by 11:PM we did not complain. Based upon the location, cleanliness and friendly staff, I would recommend this this hotel.
The room was not very clean. Under the bed between frame was dirty, the toilet and the shower had hair in them, also be concerned for your security I locked my key in my room at 7:30 in the morning came at 8:30 walked up the front and told the lady I locked my keys in the room earlier that morning with out ID and even ask me my name. Also upon check out they took my 100 cash deposit along as the 2 people in front of me also on the cash deposit and we were nit smoking in my room I dont even smoke at all. So if you stay here be concerned the staff will take your money. You better off going to Miller road at the Hometown Inn almost you expect oat a hotel in flint not grand blanc. It was the Australian k day with red hair and a accent and a Indian lady they both they were the highest management in the hotel i only gave 1 star cause there. Not another star button.
This hotel has simple but clean accommodations, but could use some improvement as far as their handicap accessibility. The breakfast was varied and good quality, the area kept clean and stocked by wonderful staff. The pool area was also clean and fun for the kids. The front desk staff was able to make some last minute changes to our rooms, and made sure we had everything we needed. We would definitely stay again if we are in the area.
Hotel was dirty and smelled smokey. I was charged a cleaning fee for someone else’s room and the hotel manager would not call me back to review their mistake and reverse the charge. If you stay here, take pictures of your room before you leave. Very, very disappointing experience.
Was lied too by the staff member at the front desk working on 6-1 at about 10 pm. She lied and said they were full with no rooms. No idea why she lied but I won’t pull this negative review down until she is fired. The Parking lot was half full and when I called back in they said their are plenty of rooms available.
Our stay at the Comfort Inn was very good. The room and bathroom were clean. The beds were very comfortable and the climate control system was very quiet and effective. The breakfast was fine and I liked that it was available from 6:00 to 10:00. The only concern I have is that when I checked in the desk clerk asked me if I wanted a first or second floor room but failed to mention that the motel had no elevator. It wasnt really a problem for my wife and I, but it would be for many and guests should be apprised of this before making their decision.
Safe hotel and area. We booked online for two adults. I used Choice Hotels member discount for 2 double beds, which was cheapest. When we arrived, the attendant upgraded our room to 1 queen, for a cheaper rate. The place was a bit dated, carpeting everywhere could use a good cleaning. The beds were clean. It was a very busy weekend and we were happy to find this hotel to go to Flint the following day. We wanted our car on trailer to be secure overnight. There are not many hotels in the area. We did notice security cameras to monitor the premises. Indoor pool was warm, and very nice! But no Wi-Fi internet connection!
My bf and I booked a general hot tub room but the availability of the room changed during the process. Instead of being downgraded (as many hotels might do) we were upgraded to the suite! The suite has its own corner section of the hotel with a balcony opening up to the pool. It is one of the only two rooms that look out on the pool. The pool room is just simply beautiful! The room and pool are both nice and toasty! The staff even keeps an inflatable ball in the pool area for guests to use (its the simple things that go above and beyond, IMO). The hot tub in the room was very large. It took a decent amount of time to fill (as one reviewer stated) but it is not due to lack of water pressure, it was just the sheer size of it!The room had popcorn/drinks at no extra charge, there was a nice warm sun lamp/light in the bathroom. The breakfast was excellent (some of the best hotel breakfast I have had!), bed/pillows were very comfortable, everything was clean, the staff were very friendly and went out of their way to make sure everything was perfect. The only cons with our room was the pool area can get quite noisy with a lot of kids out there at certain times. However they are all cleared out long before bedtime when the pool closes and it wasnt a big deal at all to us. If you do want to go to bed early than one of the two suites would probably not be the best idea.
Positive: Quite close to my kids Negative: The room was dirty I used Lysol wipes to clean . Wrappers and a penny under table , food crumbs around edges, sick and paper dirt and food under bed skirt. On our stay no one cleaned rooms or give freash towels & behind headboard where mattress lays dirt
Terrible! Everything is micromanaged you know the breakfast even though you cant have the warm stuff the one day there was no juices no cups run out of coffee no oatmeal and the stuff that you were serving pancakes and cheese sticks unacceptable I dont care if youre under covid protocol or not theres a lot of things that you could have did. PS handicap give me the closest room they could? All the way at the end of the building? But thats okay I managed.
This hotel isnt fancy, but a nice, relaxing home away from home. The pool and exercise room are small but very clean and high quality. The breakfasts were amazing -- homemade waffles every day -- and the free beverages and snacks were an added bonus. My daughter loved the free cookies! It was great having a microwave and fridge in the room. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. Overall it was an excellent experience.
Overall a nice stay. Location was great. Right off the expressway. Complementary breakfast was fresh, hot and had a good variety of hot and cold choices. Staff was excellent. Pool was clean. Our only issue was in a weeks stay is that we had to request towels 3 times and toilet paper twice. Housekeeping did not empty our trash or straighten our room. Overall that wasnt a big deal.
Positive: Nothing. Negative: Dirty sheets, cigarette ash in a nonsmoking room, didnt look like the room was cleaned at all. Called down and got a well add it on your account and mention it when checking out... upon checkout all we got was a sorry for your inconvenience... awful
Hotel is located in a nice area, there is food and restaurants right at the site plus there is a movie theater close by for you or you and family members to enjoy. A grocery store is located maybe a mile down the road which is Grand Blanc Kroger and there is a Wal-Mart not to far also. The hotel itself could use better employees
The customer service and professionalism that my group and I received from the Grand Blanc property was extraordinary. When I made reservation(s) they were very friendly and was attentive to the needs of our group. Our rooms very clean and comfortable, and the breakfast was fresh and inviting. The pool was warm and well maintained. At time of check out Sarah at the front desk was followed up on our visit to ensure that we were all satisfied. I would and will recommend this property and want to thank Sarah for being a flexible and attentive hospitality partner.
The Breakfast buffet was fresh, had variety and reasonable timely hours so you can sleep in and still get a nice variety and hot food! The pool was nice but closes at 10pm. No elevator so must be able to walk up stairs or ask for a 1st floor room. rooms are spacious. The Staff are great and seem to love their job. It was in a nice quite location. Overall, Stress free relaxing stay & bonus was within budget!
This Comfort Inn is easy to get to close to an exit off I-75 but not right next to the noise. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. There was a good variety of items for breakfast. The biscuits and gravy were especially good, not so spicy as some. The breakfast room attendant was present and very friendly and helpful if you had a question or request. All the staff at this hotel were friendly and spoke to you from the front desk to the breakfast room to the laundry attendants and maids. We would stay at this hotel again if in the area.
This quality inn is older. It is 2 floors and there are no elevators. There is a very nice pool area (we did not swim but there were lots of kids in the pool). Staff was very nice and helpful with the exception of one member on our way out. The bed was very comfortable, the room was clean, the bathroom was very small. I would stay here again.
This place is clean, comfortable and its consistently friendly and warm.Ive stayed here through recent years, and its even improved (!) with recent renovations, comfortable beds and a nice full hot and cold breakfast. THe pool is clean and well maintained. The rooms are spacious and well equipped. The hotel manager is Sarah Walters, and she maintains a friendly, warm atmosphere and has a great staff. The hotel is convenient to everything youd need, even a movie theater close by. Its a great place to stay.
The hotel staff were in a room oversold situation this evening and did an excellent job of providing true hospitality and a great guest experience. The front desk staff were friendly, helpful, explained everything and took good care of me. Victoria, the general manager, went out of her way to provide me with accurate, timely information while also providing personal assistance and the best resolution possible at that time #all with a smile and genuine warmth#. All hotel staff were friendly, right down to the young lady serving breakfast the next morning #who sincerely asked each guest how they were doing, how they slept, and if there was anything she could do to make our stays better#.
I stayed here for about a week around thanksgiving and it was great. The staff was excellent always willing to help with anything you need. The continental breakfast was delicious they had Belgian waffles, biscuits and gravy, eggs, toast, bacon, cereals and pretty much anything else you would want for breakfast. My kids loved their pool it was nice and warm. And the beds were very comfortable 2 different types of pillows hard and soft. The showers were very good nice high pressure water. The rooms were very clean and did not smell bad at all. So all in all I loved staying here and I will continue to visit this location when I am in town.
Great front desk and kitchen staff. Breakfast was good with lots of healthy food options. Room was adequate. Blankets had several small rips but bed was very comfortable. Hallway was a bit noisy with talkers late at night on a couple of occasions. Beautiful pool which was well maintained. Would stay again and would recommend .
When my husband made the reservation he did not know that both our daughters would be staying with us after a family funeral. When we arrived at the hotel we told the clerk of the change and was told that it was fine. Once in the room we realized that because of my knee replacement surgery 3 weeks prior, that I would not be able to use the toilet because it was to low nor could I use the shower because the tub was to high to step in so I went to the front desk and asked if they had a handicap room that would accommodate my family...I was told that they did have a handicap room available but that ALL their handicap room only have one bed and that I would have to pay for 2 rooms. I then ask if we could just get our money back and go to another hotel.. we were told no refund...we ended up just staying in the regular room and I used the McDonald’s bathroom and took a shower at home the next day..I called choice hotels and asked for a 50% refund and was told they would give us 5000 points....why would I ever want to stay at a choice hotel again if this is how a handicap person is treated..
The staff at the hotel was great. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Bathroom was small, but offered every thing needed. The breakfast was great. There was something for every ones taste. Coffee was hot and did not seem to run out. Lobby area was clean and inviting. Great staff, great stay.
I booked my stay 2 months in advance. The day of my arrival I was notified that there were no King rooms available, that I would have to have a room with 2 Queen beds and if a King came available that I would be moved. This did not happen and it was 2 doubles not Queens..I am 510 in height and this was quite uncomfortable, not only did I not get what I paid for, the ice machine was broke for the entire stay and the room that I had was absolutely filthy and old. I will attach pictures. The bathroom had rust around the door frame, gross stuff on the wall and all of the baseboards were filthy. The ceiling in the main living area was peeling and falling down.It is obvious that there must be some permanent guests there as well, one woman came out of her room and asked me if I smoked, I could smell the smoke coming from her room. The first morning I heard a lot of talking and looked out to see a sheriff walking around. Thank goodness I was out most of the time with my family, except to shower and sleep.I think it would only be fair to get what I paid for and booked. I am seeking the difference of what a King room would have been vs. what I was put in (2 Doubles)The only compliment that I can give is that the girl who checked me in on the afternoon of the 7th about 4pm was pleasant.Besides issuing me points, there has to be something you can do for the inconvenience that I had to incur.I would not recommend this hotel.
We attended a wedding in the area and stayed in town for the night. I dont know if we were just so tired that we slept so GOOD! The bed was very comfortable and the room was clean. The breakfast was great and the staff did a great job keeping up with a busy Saturday morning. Overall, we were glad we stayed. It was an enjoyable experience.
I flew in extremely late and was just looking for a place to rest for 5 hours and get a shower. I called and was pleasantly greeted, then when arrived was offered an extended checkout due to the late check-in. The room was incredibly clean, smelled great, very comfortable beds and linens, and lots of room. The full breakfast was a bonus and surprise to me, and had plenty to choose from. I was so excited to have a nice hotel experience after a terrible one last week. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone passing through the Grand Blanc area.
If you are looking peace and quiet after busy day in Flint. This is definitely a must. I loved our stay! We were here for four days I believe. We were on the first floor and in a non-smoking room. The staff was professional, courteous and attentive. Our room was spacious and very clean. Continental breakfast was decent and served its purpose. If you need more variety, Waffle House and Ihop are five minutes away. I think what made the stay was how well we were tended to. There was never a day we didnt have fresh towels and linens. If you are looking to stay in Flint, I would come here instead of the local area.
The Grand Blanc Comfort Inn staff is awesome! Great service. Friendly and very helpful. We came up for the Renaissance Festival and this hotel is perfect. Only 8 minutes away, a good diner next store. Love the fridge and microwave in the room. As with most hotels, I wish that the hot water for tea wasnt put in a vessel that previously had coffee in it. The taste is never as good, but that is the only thing I wish they would change. We will definitely stay here again.
Beds were comfortable, people were friendly, breakfast was awesome, but the towels were absolutely amazing. I commented on how great the towels were and was told they had been recently upgraded system wide, GOOD CHOICE! However, there was no elevator and stairs to the second floor are hard on old knees! I did not request first floor because I dont think I have ever stayed at a Comfort or Sleep Inn that did not have an elevator. Would have requested first floor if I had known.
I stayed at this hotel for a long weekend to visit family in the area. The front desk clerk at check-in was great and funny. They accomodated the requests Id made when I made my reservation which was great. The room was nice and comfortable. There were lots of TV channels and the internet was pretty fast.On my last day there was a dog in a guest room that barked ALL day long. I called the front desk late in the afternoon and reported it. They were friendly and were able to contact the dogs owner and quieted the dog.It was a very nice place. I did not take advantage of the amenities, but they looked great.
The staff made me feel like family . . . From the initial experience with the front desk clerks to the breakfast staff. The hotel was updating when we were there. However, the workers chose reasonable hours to not disturb guests. The hotel is older, but they are updating, and the room rates I feel reflect that. Victoria, the desk manager, provided above-and-beyond services. I said to my sister, How can I repay them? Our visit stemmed from a family member in the Genesys Hospital. We actually booked additional nights at the Comfort Inn versus the Holiday Inn because the breakfast was better (more variety and better food) and the staff was so accommodating. They knew how to work with elderly people. Thank you Comfort Inn!
The room was clean and nice. Bed was very comfortable. Had a mini fridge, coffee maker and microwave. Bathroom was clean and everything worked as it should. The breakfast was very good. Wide variety. Hot and cold items to choose from. Didnt have a chance to try the indoor pool, but it looked inviting. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Definitely would stay again if in the area or recommend others to stay.
I would go someplace else if you have a choice, plenty of other quality hotels to stay in. I was overcharged on 2 of the 3 days I stayed, also had something stolen out of my room as well. Was gone for 10 min when i noticed that house keeping had gone into the room to change the sheets. When I asked around including the owner of the hotel, I was told we can not do anything for you. So much for customer service.
Super staff! Hotel needs a little thicker walls although everyone quieted down for bedtime so it wasnt a problem. My back thought the beds could be firmer but maybe it was just my back. The choice of pillows and lots of them were very nice. Lots of clean towels. Having a refrigerator and microwave and coffee maker and hair dryer in the room was a plus that is nice.
Overall it was one of the best front desk staff we experienced as a traveling hockey team. We were allowed to have team meals in the breakfast area in the afternoon. All the parents commented on whenever they had a question, the staff was able to and willing to help! The rooms were updated and clean. We spent 5 nights in the hotel which can be long and I feel the Comfort Inn did all they could to make us feel at home!
We stayed 2 nights - we were in town for a family wedding. Room was clean, bed very comfortable. Room will need an update soon. Hairdryer mount was loose, some of the finish in the tub was worn off, had to slam the door shut to get it to latch/lock, stuff like that. Staff was friendly and helpful. Excellent selections offered for breakfast. Easy off and on from/to I-75.
We stayed at this location for two nights and found it to be a great value. Room was very clean and the staff were very nice at check-in. The free breakfast is wonderful and offers something for everyone. The location of the hotel is very convenient. Restaurants, entertainment, and highway access are just minutes away. Overall a pleasant experience and we would definitely stay at this location again in the future.
This was a very pleasant hotel, with a clean room, excellent beds and climate control. The breakfast was fine and included hot food as well as yogurt, cereal and pastries. We didnt use the pool, fitness center or internet. The only concern we had is that upon check-in the desk clerk asked if we wanted a first or second story room but neglected to mention that there wasnt an elevator. This wasnt really a problem for us but would be for some and should have been mentioned. Please not that I am NOT saying that this is a 5 Star hotel -- it is a budget hotel but there is no reason for me to downgrade it (Im rating it against its peers).
The Quality Inn of Grand Blanc has long been our favorite hotel when traveling to the Flint area. The rooms are always very clean and comfortable, and the items included with the free breakfast are very satisfactory. With a friendly staff, a great location combined with very reasonable rates it is an ideal choice for travelers!
An older hotel that is being well kept. Good area, attractive grounds, felt safe. Convenient to restaurants in local area if you drove; not so convenient in terms of walking distance. Great staff. Pool area was great, with lots of chairs and tables within pool area making it convenient and comfortable for parents to watch kids. Hotel had all the amenities, i.e. microwave, refrigerator, Wi-Fi, iron and ironing board, hair dryer. Pet friendly.
The staff were friendly enough and the beds were okay. We immediately explored the hotel and were sorely unimpressed. The room for me was the worst of all - it was so cramped and oddly laid out - there is no room to move in the bathroom and was a struggle to even shut the door to use it - our room was freezing and there was no modern thermostat to regulate the temperature - the decor is completely out-dated, the wall paper was peeling off of the wall in several spots, the tub spout was not even attached to the wall and freely spun around, our room door did not shut properly and I kept having to check to be sure it was truly shut and locked each time we entered/departed - the carpet felt gross on my bare feet that I had to wear shoes the whole time - the hallway was insanely hot the whole time and the whole place was just worn down/out -they could certainly use some updating and modernization - they are still using room safes with an actual key - I have never seen that in any hotel Ive ever stayed at - the place was just old and frankly, we mostly saw older people there so maybe something like this is right up there alley.
We enjoyed a very pleasant stay. All staff members were friendly, courteous, and helpful. Our room and the common areas were all clean and tidy, and the complementary breakfast offered a generous variety of food.Perhaps most importantly, the hotel was remarkably quiet for a Saturday night, even though at full occupancy. The location is another plus, as it is very near I-75, with easy access.
Love it here. Rooms very clean & comfortable. Staff dedicated and greet the guest. General Manager has the perfect personality for hospitality; accommodating, personable, humorous and polite. I also enjoy the hot breakfast & coffee in the mornings and the convience of a washer & dryer being available. My children like the pool as well. I have been here several times and each time my experience has been great.
Stayed for one night with my kids. The girl that worked second shift front desk was incredibly friendly and helpful, and made me feel super welcome. (Not sure what her name was but she had a rose tattoo on her arm) She was great. Everything the exceptionally clean, the room and the pool area. The breakfast was fantastic and everything in that area was super clean too. I work in a hotel so came in with critical eyes, but everything was perfect. Would stay here again! Thanks everyone!
The Comfort Inn was an overall decent hotel to stay at. Theres nothing fancy about it but they do provide a clean and safe place to stay. The staff are friendly and accommodating as well. The A/C units went in and out unpredictably which did lead to warmer night than usual (~73F) but that would be our only complaint. I would stay here again if the price were right.
This is a very nice property with a great staff. They are all very professional and friendly. The rooms are up to date, very clean and the bedding is great. My only complaint is the standard rooms need a nice sitting chair to relax in. The upgrade rooms to have better chairs. However, the cleanliness, value and great staff make up for any shortcomings.
The suites are the same price as the regular rooms so inquire ahead of time. Do a good sweep of the room to look for any issues before you get comfy. Breakfast was good one day and ok the next. Also take note that there is no elevator and the fitness room was almost smaller than our bathroom. Overall it was ok for the price.
They charge a 124 dollars for a night and a 100 dollar damage deposit and when I was ready to leave the next day they tried charging me 20 for which she said at first was for cleaning fee then said the comfortable was ripped smh and there was flys and gnats in the room also
Moderately priced this hotel is a good value. All of the staff is friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean. The breakfast is a nice plus. Our bed was pleasantly firm. The rooms are a little small and the walls could be a little thicker for infrequent noise, but I would give this hotel a thumbs up for the price.
This well located hotel is clean and quiet, but way over priced for what you get. This property is desperately in need of a complete renovation. Air conditioning was barely able to keep up with the admittedly hot weather. The bathroom was very 20th century: tiny, one sink, poorly lit. Our room was on the second floor, accessible only by a stairway, no elevator.Positive amenities are a decent breakfast, indoor pool, and plenty of well lighted parking. Staff was very friendly. In short, I was very disappointed in the hotel. I would recommend staying somewhere else even if the rate is higher.
The hotel was very nice. Clean, speedy check in, comfortable room, air conditioning got very cold and shower stayed very hot, like I like it. The breakfast was a nice bonus, as was the mini fridge and microwave because I wasnt really aware of them when I booked the room. Same with the pool, although Id enjoy a hot tub as well. As I enjoy going to the Renaissance Festival I plan on staying there again.
Very nice hotel. Always clean, one of the few that dont have a stench to it. Could use new beds, they are to soft and to small for two people. I believe they have new hotel desk help they still need to learn the system I think. Didnt get my free gift for being an elite member. Prices are getting to high for the area I think.
The hotel was very clean, hospitable with many conveniences. Buffalo Wild Wings down the road said that there was a shuttle provided to pick up and drop off guests who are hungry and dont have a car. This service is great; however, the staff at the hotel knew nothing about it. Its something that should be shared - shows a sense of community camaraderie. The breakfast was good, staff very friendly, pool was clean....it was a fabulous experience overall!
Desk manager Christopher K was very helpful when I had issues with my online reservation. He made the necessary changes for me, and happened to be working when we checked in; we were greeted pleasantly and he remembered us. We have stayed here before and will stay again. Clean, comfortable rooms; decent breakfast; quiet halls. I was worried when I saw that our rooms were in the middle of a softball team; their doors were all decorated for their tournament, and I was worried about hallway activity. If there was any, we never heard it!
We have stayed at this hotel many times in the past few years. It is very nice, always clean and comfortable. The staff are super nice and go out of their way to make your stay pleasant. The only complaint I have is noise from other guests - loud talking in the hallway, slamming doors, children allowed to run in the hallways, etc. The breakfast room is very nice and clean and the food is excellent.
I visited the Grand Blanc Comfort Inn on a snowy Michigan weekend at the beginning of February 2014. My purpose for the trip was to spend as much time as possible visiting my mother in a nursing home, so I booked rooms at the Comfort Inn less than half a mile away. I arrived at the Comfort Inn around midnight, and was relieved to have a smooth check-in to a very nicely appointed, clean room followed by a good nights sleep. My first delight was the quality of the first mornings breakfast--the fresh waffles, eggs and sausage and hot biscuits and gravy--my favorite comfort food! Then I returned to the room to sleep some more--the hotel was very quiet and the beds was exceptionally comfortable so I slept soundly. When I awoke around noon to head back to the nursing home, several inches of snow had fallen and the cab company said there would be a two hour wait for service! When I inquired at the front desk about another cab company, the hotel manager, without hesitation, said Come on. I will drive you. Not only was I delighted with the hotels accommodations, I was completely blown away by the managers kindness. In fact, all the employees I encountered at that hotel were as friendly as they were professional, and I have told everyone who asked (and many who didnt) about my great stay at the Grand Blanc Comfort Inn.
This was a nice hotel that was located off of I-75. There are restaurants close by. So a very good location. The room was comfortable and clean. Create email this is a survey bubble locked I already said that what about the lock the safe couldnt use the safe at the hotel that we were at
Im really pleased with the motel on Holly Rd. in Grand Blanc. When we stay in the area we always stay there and have received excellent service. The manager and one of the male staff even recognize me and always greet me as a valued guest. The breakfast is decent, the pool always comfortably warm and the service excellent. My go to hotel in that area and go to chain whenever possible when traveling. Been going to Comfort Inn long before I got into the Choice program.
Awesome place to stay. We called every place in the flint area and were able to get the last available room here. We were greeted by a friendly desk clerk who got us checked in quickly and directed us to the best place to park to be close to our room. The breakfast in the morning was good and checking out was simple. Highly recommend.
When I travel to the Detroit Area for work, family and concerts I choose to stay at this hotel. The other hotels in the area are so over priced. Its clean, has WIFI, the beds are comfortable and pillows are fluffy. I was pleasantly surprised with the improvement with the breakfast, eggs ,sausages, waffles, cereal, yogurt, juices, cookie ect.all yummy. My granddaughter loved the pool.
Our stay was awful!! Our air conditioner didn’t work & after a long day in 90 degree heat at a ball tournament, that was not good!! When contacting management they said that it just needed to run a little longer & it would cool down, but it didn’t. The manager told me over the phone that if our room was still not cooled down in the evening when we got back from our tournament she would get us a different room. When we got back, after 9:00pm & our room was not any cooler, I went to the front desk to let them know. They informed me that they did not have any rooms left to switch us to. Also the manager & maintenance guy were gone for the night & the issue would have to be addressed the next day. Meanwhile we had to sleep in an uncomfortable room & they were not willing to give us any compensation. However, they did report that another room was offered to us and we declined it, which was not true! Yet, one of our teammates was able to get another room that same night. In addition to the air conditioner not working, the bathroom door wouldn’t close because it was too warped, it was so humid in the room that toilet was sweating, the TV remote sensor didn’t work because the tape that held it in place on the TV was no longer sticky. The next day, the maintenance man did come & replace the whole air conditioning unit. He reported that the control on the unit was stuck in the auto position which is why it didn’t work. In the afternoon I received a phone call from management. She basically informed me that there was nothing wrong with the air conditioning unit, but that they replaced it to satisfy us. She reported that the other unit had our room at 65 degrees, which it did not, & the maintenance man just told us that the control was broke because he didn’t know what else to tell us!Needless to say, we will never stay at this Quality Inn in Grand Blanc again!! I would definitely reconsider staying here if you are thinking about making a reservation at this hotel.
CONTRACTORS! This is your place to stay in the area, especially if it is a longer stay. This hotel will accommodate your early work schedule and get breakfast ready earlier so you can grab something before you start the day. JUST ASK! The staff is awesome and will bend over backwards if you need something. Pool is open to 10:00. Restaurants and fast food are close and a grocery store is 1.5 miles away.I am not saying that this hotel isnt for everyone! As a contractor, it is hard to find a place that makes sure you get the meal that you pay for with your room fee. It is rare, and it should be noted.I want to thank Victoria and Zach for accommodating us. Katie and Jennifer for making sure we had food in the morning, and Cesilee and Kristina for always answering our questions and fulfilling our requests on a repeated basis with a smile! We will definitely stay here when work brings us to this area again.
I have stayed at this hotel many times but this is the first review. This hotel is conveniently located just off I-75. Very close to Genesys Hospital and the city of Grand Blanc. There are great restaurants nearby and a cinema and of course the great golf course where the Buick Open is held. The receptionist and all the staff is very friendly. My jacuzzi room was huge and it overlooked the pool. I have stayed in other rooms that were very spacious as well. Unlike many pools in hotels, this pool is very large and inviting with room for onlookers on the spacious deck (great for families). The bedding was clean and comfortable. The breckfast was good and hot and it is in a very large room with lots of tables and chairs. I look forward to returning to this hotel and you should make a point of staying as well.
Its hard to complain about a free stay, however just know going in that its an older facility that could benefit from some updates. It suited its purpose, it was clean and there were no bugs. The beds were on the firmer side, the a/c unit sounded like a dying cat luckily we were comfortable with just the fan. I probably would have chosen a different hotel if we were paying.
We usually stay here twice a year when visiting friends who live nearby. We have always been extremely pleased with everything at this Comfort Inn. The accommodations are very comfortable and reasonably priced. The staff is very courteous, helpful, and friendly, always helping us unload and load our belongings. The free breakfast is amazing, delicious, and ample.
We stayed during a very busy holiday weekend. The rooms were spotless, and some of the most comfortable beds I have slept in at a hotel. The staff is amazing. Other than the eggs being overly runny at breakfast, we had a wonderful experience and will be using this hotel again.
The hotel as a whole, wasnt bad at all. I never felt unsafe. The floor in the room and bath tub was dirty but that was the only downfall. The fridge and microwave were clean as was the bed. The room felt comfy for a hotel room. The breakfast was good and had a few things to choose from.
We recently traveled to Grand Blanc because my father was dying, and this hotel was conveniently located by hospital, and family. The rooms were clean, and beds so comfortable. The hot breakfast was a good way to start our day. The staff were courteous, helpful and sympathetic.
We stayed 1 night in order to be close to the airport as we had an early flight the next morning. The only 2 issues we had was a) we didnt realize the hotel doesnt have an elevator until we tried to get out luggage up to the 2nd floor (not fun) and; b) the first room we were given had been used so we had to ask for a different room, which the desk clerk gladly gave us. Other than that, the new room was super clean and the hotel was quiet all night. We had a very good stay.
It was perfect for what I needed. Just know there is no elevator so if you have heavy items to get to your room be prepared to lug them up the stairs. Everyone was very nice. I believe they allow pets so smell your room before you enter. I did not get a pet smell at all through out the hotel just a strong deodorizer smell. Food was very good.
Clean and comfortable, but noisy. I stayed here twice for 3 nights each and never had a quiet night. I would pay more to get a better nights rest. Its too bad, really, because the breakfast was decent, the staff was helpful, but I expect to be able to sleep in my room.
Hotel staff very friendly and helpful. Room was large with microwave, mini frig, coffee maker and very comfortable king bed. Lobby very nice with computer and printer for guest to use and indoor pool off lobby. Excellent value nice area dining near by. Would recommend and stay again was visiting family in near by Holly Mi
Horrible interaction with front desk. Front desk receptionist needs to be fired very rude and is a lier took my money and it took days to get my refund back after trying to swindle me for a deposit worst experience I ever had in a hotel as a nurse I will be sure tell all my co workers never ever to stay in this hotel!Felt racially profiled just a terrible experience all together ruined my Memorial Day weekend
The bathroom was extremely small. The cleaning and breakfast staff were most excellent.Had on issue of a evening front desk employee ignoring us. She was busy in front of the lobby smoking a cigarette and talking on her cell phone. She basically ignored us standing at the front desk. I imagine her phone conversation of national importance. The manager was at the motel every morning. I could have reported the incident to her, I just didnt want to deal with another issue. I really shouldnt need to.
Not many hotels to choose from in this town, but I would say this is the best choice for the money. Rooms are not very updated, yet bed was comfortable. The indoor pool was great. The front desk staff was over the top accommodating, helpful and friendly. Often addressed us by our names as we were going through the lobby.
A great place to stay! Staff is wonderful, everything is very clean, and the room is quite comfortable. I enjoyed being able to get some food in the morning and all my needs were met from internet access to enjoying the heated pool! I did experience some extra foot noise from above my room, but will ask for the second floor next time!
The rooms are clean and look really nice considering a 2-star hotel. It includes an enjoyable 5-foot pool and small gym for daily workouts. The only thing I dislike about it is the toilets clog easily and the plungers are cheaper than cheap. Overall a real nice hotel with awesome staff!
The room was great but check was not. Sam the front desk person was not aware of procedures with Priceline. I paid through them he persisted that I had to be charged after I explained it. He did return it but when I checked out he stated I needed to call Priceline because he didnt want to charge me again. Why return it if youre going to charge me.I would suggest informing all employees of procedures.
Ive traveled a lot through my work and we stayed at Comfort Inns . Ive always enjoyed my stay. Ive stayed at other hotels in pet friendly rooms and been discussed with the quality, the room here was like a people room. Nice and clean, my socks were clean after walking on the carpet. Very important to me.
Worst experience ever! Management gave us nothing but problems since the second we got checked in. Between the night manager (Traci Wing) and the guy at the front desks (Harrison) harassment the entire time we were there which ended at 5 hours at which time we had enough and ended up leaving. Wouldn’t refund the money for both rooms we rented. Harrison, the front desk man, smirked at us after making the kids leave the pool. My kids ended up having to leave the hotel in an ice storm with wet hair and tears in their eyes because the night staff was so awful to us.
The staff were very helpful to us as we did not know the area. The hotel was clean. The rooms were clean and the bed was comfortable. We have returned many times because of the fantastic staff. We had family admitted to the local hospital and the staff would remember and ask how they were doing. That is special!
The Grand Blanc Quality Inn has long been a favorite for visits in the metro Flint area. The hotel is well-maintained with clean, spacious rooms and excellent amenities including the pool and breakfast selection. Close to easy access to Interstate 75 but also a quiet relaxing ambiance. Always a pleasure to be greeted by the friendly staff!
This is an excellent place to stay. It is conveniently located and easy to find. The room was clean, well stocked, and comfortable, and offered every amenity one would need. The entire staff, including custodial, were very friendly and helpful. The free breakfast was delicious and offered many options. We will definitely be returning!
We did not expect so many services from a 2 star hotel. You will find a laundry room, rec room, pool, full complimentary breakfast. We had a room on the ground floor but it was very quiet and it feels as though the walls are very thick. Had a great time, very relaxing weekend.
Success come from the top down. Brian Dabish has a wonderful team. Sara and Zack at the front desk are just amazing! Gwen the house keeping supervisor leads by example. I could stay at different hotels closer to where I am working, however, their professionalism, integrity and consistency keeps myself and employees coming back! Although I am a regular customer, I have observed staff treating potential guests in the same manner. This is by far the best hotel I stay at when traveling for business!
My husband and I stayed at this hotel on Feb. 28, 2015. The girl at the front desk was very helpful; no problems when checking in or out. The room was nothing special, but had some nice features (mini fridge and microwave) that we need when we travel. The bathroom was pretty small and cramped, but it was clean. They have a nice selection for breakfast - scrambled eggs, sausage links, cubed potatoes - along with the standard continental breakfast items (cereal, toast, bagels, english muffins, pastries, hard boiled eggs, yogurt, fruit). They also have a waffle maker; it wouldve been nice if they had more than one. Each waffle takes 2 minutes and 40 seconds (per the timer on the waffle maker) and I was the 6th person in line to use it. I finally gave up waiting and just made toast. We used the pool, which was nice and warm. The pool is small for a hotel pool, but there werent many people in there when we used it, so no problems there. Overall, we were very satisfied and will definitely stay there again.
Sarah and Amanda were excellent to work with -- we needed 16 rooms and they were quick and professional each and every time we or someone from our team communicated with them. The hotel was very clean, rooms were comfortable and clean. The breakfast was excellent the staff did a great job keeping the hot food filled.
The Comfort Inn on Holly Rd, is the best place we have ever stayed. the entire staff treats us like family. We look forward to each visit. The beds are great, we sleep well all night long. The breakfast buffet is outstanding, food is hot, fresh, & tasty. The rooms and halls are clean, but best of all is the fresh cookies made daily, along with the comp copy of USA Today newspaper. The Mgr, Mr.Brian Dabish, is the very helpfull, friendly, & professional in all his dealings with us, he may be the best hotel Mgr we have have ever met in our travels thru out the USA & Canada. You are lucky to have him as the face of The Comfort Inn!Sincerly,Tom & Karen HarmonSt. Helen, Mich
Positive: location was good Negative: Advertised non smoking and room stunk of smoke.Advertised a gym and it was closed, even after covid restrictions were lifted.Advertised a pool and it was closed due to a leaky pipe.Advertised free breakfast and they had no juices and very little else.
We needed a safe, quiet, inexpensive place to stay while visiting family in the area. This hotel was highly rated on internet surveys and those surveys were accurate. :) We enjoyed our stay. The woman managing the breakfast area was on top of keeping the food items hot and fresh and the desk staff were pleasant.
We just needed one night near the hospital where kinfolk were having surgery. It was very convenient, clean friendly, efficient, and provided all we needed. The breakfast was good, with wide selection of eggs sausage, waffles, etc. The sausage gravy was better than most but the biscuits were a little tough. I suspect they got nuked in the micro a little long. If my only complaint was getting a tough biscuit then I really didnt have anything to complain about. There are people who have REAL problems. We live in a great country. Let us be thankful !
We had 7 rooms full of family and friends stay at your hotel so that they could attend our wedding and all of them commented to us about how nice the hotel was! They said that the rooms were nice and comfortable, the staff was friendly and helpful, and that they enjoyed being able to all have breakfast together there at the hotel the next morning! Thank you for making their experience a great one!
This hotel is a great value. Very clean rooms with microwave and fridge Comfy beds with lots of pillows. The staff was friendly and professional. The pool area is nice and very clean. The breakfast was average. Standard breakfast you will find at other hotels. The value of this hotel is great considering just down the road is another hotel that was 30 to 40 bucks more and it had awful reviews.
Was nice and seemingly clean... (More on that later) The staff was very kind and helpful and the breakfast was wonderful! However, I wasnt aware that this was a pet friendly hotel. I love animals, I thought it was pretty nt and it honestly just added to the allure if the hotel (I missed my dog and it was nice seeing other dogs around) Anyway, I woke up with five small bites on my leg... Didnt think much of it, maybe I had rolled over on some hapless spider. Not the case. We ended up bringing some most unwelcome guests home with us. Fleas. Such is a risk you run with pet friendly hotels. I just wish I would have known beforehand so I could have pretreated my pets at home, all of which now are being treated for fleas.
The front desk staff was very helpful and friendly when we checked in. The rooms have a refrigerator and microwave. The pool area is nice; can get crowded, but you will find that at any hotel pool. The water was warm, which was nice. They did run out of towels in the pool area, but the employee working in the evening didnt seem very attentive. There may have been a stack of clean towels that just needed to be put out, but he didnt show up with any. The breakfast buffet is nicer than most ~ scrambled eggs, sausage, and potatoes were the hot choices. They also have yogurt, hard boiled eggs, fruit, english muffins, bagels, toast, pastries, instant oatmeal, juice, milk, coffee, waffles.
I arrived very late on a 4 degree night, and the lobby was warm and clean. The front desk personal was friendly and helpful for my first stay at this hotel. I received my room key, and proceeded to my room, and noticed that the staff had to put heaters in places to avoid freezing pipes and damage. Checked into my room, set up for a online meeting. The wyfy set up was fast, but during the sign in session, It would stop. So I has to wait till morning to recieve the emails for the day. This was more than likely a problerm on my end. So I cannot hold the staff responible for that small problem.I look forward tp staying at Comfort Inn in Grand Blanc again!
Extremely clean, very friendly staff, and a great breakfast. They kept breakfast fully stocked the entire time. I booked this hotel because it was between Birch Run for shopping and the DTE for a concert. I had no idea what to expect and was a little nervous not knowing the area well. I was very impressed with this hotel!
Good price for a decent hotel. House keeping started coming around at about 8 am. I was busy packing to check out and had to tell them 3 times to come back later. Other than that everything was fine. If you are willing to pay a little more, then check out the Residence Inn by Marriott - its one of the best Ive ever been to.
The hotel was clean and the breakfast was great. However, we got 2 beds for our family of 4 and the beds were FULL sized, not queen. It was not very comfortable being squished in the beds. Also the heaters were not working in the pool area and though the water was warm, the air was freezing cold and my husband and I did could not disrobe and get in the water with our kids. We stayed in our sweatshirts and watched!
Wanting to get away without going far from home, we decided to stay here, and were very pleased. Great hotel, clean, nice comfy bed, restful, relaxing, with AWESOME breakfast. We truly enjoyed our self even though it was only 1 night, went to the nearby theater for a movie, there is a credit union next door and nearby restaurants also , right off I-75. Great staff hats off to the attendant in the breakfast room, she was right on the job, being very attentive making sure everyone had what they needed and keeping the place and food up to service.
We had 20 rooms rented for a,large family reunion. The staff was welcoming and patient, with one uncomfortable exception when a housekeeper came into our room while we were trying to get ready for the evening (as opposed to waiting for us to vacate the room). I think its a little overpriced considering the wear and tear of the hotel, but the location is convenient, beds comfortable and rooms clean.

2022-05-15Have been staying here since October. I have absolutely no complaints about this place. From Rena, the owner, all the way down to housekeeping (Maria who is the sweetest person alive), I have zero complaints. Sabrina and Ashley at the front desk are so incredibly helpful and patient. Even the maintenance guys, Dave and Kevin, have been so helpful to me. I recommend this place to anyone. It really is a great place and it’s evident that a lot of work is put in I’m order to keep this place as nice as it is. Great people, great stay, and have absolutely no complaints.

2022-06-12No housekeeping service for the entire 7 day stay. Water was hot. Charge for the room safe, never used but a easy $2 per day. The hotel puts a pending charge on the room equal to what was paid at check in. Not worth the $113 a night weeknight or $145 weekend rate, no discount offered.I wont be back

2022-04-04This is the best hotel. I had to stay at another hotel last week and after that disaster I made a beeline here. Check in was easy and staff was very nice. I had a minor issue and it was immediately taken care of. There pool is very nice. It has a microwave and refrigerator. A nice washer and dryer for a few dollars. A free breakfast area. It has vending machines. It’s just a nice hotel. And very clean. I really have enjoyed my stay here.

2022-06-05We googled cheap hotels near Grand Blanc and the Quality Inn was the first to come up in the search and Im glad it did. Its just a two-story modest hotel no elevator, with a pool, great parking making easy access to the rooms and good rooms. I checked the website and then called the hotel directly, it was cheaper than with any of the book me sites. They were very nice on the phone, asked about our needs and then attended to them, we are both disabled. When we got here check-in was quick and easy. Its a really nice place to stay if youre on a budget. We were able to go to Culvers for dinner which was right next door and the Sunoco gas station is less than 1 minute drive away to get us fueled up in the morning and ready for the long ride home. We will have more business trips down this way and we will definitely be staying here every time.

2022-04-03I was there on Friday night and payed $95.83 for each room (2) and then the lady said she needed 100 dollars for deposit and I told her to take it from my debit card but then she said she only accepted credit card and cash then I told her to cancel the transaction and she said she couldnt cancel it then she got mad and kicked me out and threatened me by calling the cops and that she was going to block me so I couldnt access another hotel. I was just working nearby its not my fault she had a bad day.

2022-06-27Positive: The location was great Negative: The exercise room was closed for the 4 days I was there. Breakfast every morning consisted of a lot of carbohydrates. A boiled egg would have been welcomed. In the time I was there no one checked to see if i needed towels or emptied my trash.

2022-06-24Quality Inn of Grand Blanc, always gives me excellent service!! I have had my mom stay here a couple times, visiting from Florida, she was in her 90s for both visits. The handicap room with the walk in shower is wonderful and my mom really enjoyed that room. She also really enjoyed the staff as well! She is 95 years old now. I recently stayed one night on June 21, 2022 & as usual, the front desk was so Professional, friendly and helpful. I had made my reservations & purchased my room online for the 21st & also June 28th. I told them, I was looking forward to the handicap room with the walk-in shower. I have a bad back & feet. They said you have room 113, which is handicap, but not the walk-in shower. They looked to see if 114 was available, it was & they also made sure I had 114 for my stay on the 28th. This is why I enjoy staying here, just the best front desk staff & the rest of the staff is amazing too! They make me feel so welcomed. The pool felt so awesome too!

2022-02-20We had a non smoking room. It was clean and everything was well stocked. Only thing that I didn’t like was that you could hear all the conversations in the rooms around you and outside in the hallway. Otherwise it wasn’t bad. The pool was open, washers and dryers worked, and staff wasn’t bad.

2022-03-25Thank you to all the staff at Quality Inn in Grand Blanc. You guys are amazing! I want to thank Kevin and Dave for going the extra mile. We woke up to a dead battery. We asked if they could help and without hesitation they said they would and came right out. I hope the owner knows what a great staff they have!!
